'Oi, big guy! Wanna see something funny?'
This is going to be a two part post - there's two more characters waiting behind the rocks (currently cut off, since they are far from being finished yet) but NotEnrique insisted that I show you his daring deception in all its glory before ruining it with some extras. 馃槈

You know that feeling if you explain something like a hundred times in a hundred different ways and they still get it wrong (or are simply too lazy to be bothered with the Peloponnesian war? Then you might be able to relate...
Another - this time not so small - commission for rexnanorum, who knows the feeling all too well. 馃槈

I know, I'm all over the place with my sujets, but here it is: my reinterpretation of a DVD cover of my favourite science-fiction series back in the days when I was wayyy younger and still had golden hair - but I digress.
Back to the picture: I changed the poses of the captain and Joan a little bit, to make them more dynamic, I changed a lot when it comes to Grag and Otto (they are basically just standing around in the original). Also, I added the Comet, because the picture appeared incomplete without it. Also, I wanted to challenge myself, since I'm not really good with starships and mechanical stuff... I hope you like it!

In case you're wondering: while I was perfectly sure that there's a classical painting with exactly the same composition (at least if you replace NotEnrique with multiple hounds), I couldn't find one. Well, now there is - minus the classical of course, I'm not that old 馃槈

Trollhunter-Aktaion
Have you ever heard about the story of Aktaion the very unfortunate (even Unkar was quite lucky compared to this guy)? The hunter accidentily happened to stumble across the goddess of the hunt, Artemis, while she was bathing. Naturally, Artemis wasn't amused, so she turned Aktaion into a stag and had him torn to shreds by his own doggies! Strangely enough, quite a few painters found the subject really interesting. Most of the time, they show Aktaion during the transformation, with antlers and such.
Long story short: I decided to translate the sujet into the troll-hunter universe - conveniently, there's already a character with appendages on his head. And just for fun, I decided to replace the ravenous hounds with a slightly less dangerous NotEnrique.

And now for something completely different. Warming up for some bigger project, I decided to draw a favourite character of mine - and yes, I did enjoy a nice cup of Jasmine-tea while doing so.

'Tobes and the Quaganymphs' - inspired by the painting 'Hylas and the Nymphs' by John William Waterhouse. It was a lot of fun, translating the pre-raphaelitic painting into the trollhunter-universe - I might do something like this again...

My favourite barbarian hero: Cohen! Thanks a million for creating this great character, Sir Terry, wherever you might be now! (Incidentally, Cohen is also kind of a rolemodel for me, since I'd love to be able to use a sword at that age just like Cohen.)

Just finished this little picture of a Conan fighting a demon-god-thingy (yes, it's loosely based on the 1984 movie and no, I didn't try to catch the actor's likeness). While preferring to work in black and white, I think I'm slowly getting the hang of digital. colouring. Hope you like it!

Just a little practice - similarities to a certain beloved ranger and his faithful companion are purely coincidental. This is clearly my beloved miniature giant space degu Skeks and my humble self. I still miss you, little buddy!
