Leo knew he was being dry but he wanted to play it safe.

Jason: oh I’m just about to cook dinner. I was thinking spaghetti but we also have the ingredients for tacos… what would you choose?

Leo: oh tacos for sure! But which type?

Jason: soft shell tacos, why?

Leo: hmm.. imma teach you how to make some real good hard shell tacos one day… but soft shell tacos are pretty good

Leo grabbed his phone, keys and a hoodie before telling his Abuela that he was going to help someone out with cooking and leaving. 

He practically tore down Jason’s street and knocked on the door of what Jason said his address was. He was starting to get a little concerned just as Jason opened the door.

“Leo! Hey! Come in, it’s getting dark”

When Jason and Leo first kissed, it was on the jetty at Camp Halfblood. Leo had been watching the first stars come through as the sun was setting, laying back with a single arm raised, pointing at each star and naming them.

He had just figured out his feelings for Jason and was trying not to do anything irrational. Jason had sat down next to him, but that was barely noticed by Leo, who just kept on naming stars. It was music to Jason’s ears, who had known he liked Leo as more than a friend for a few months.

By the time Leo noticed Jason, he was basically snuggled into Jason’s side. They were drawn towards each other like magnets. Jason just smiled and told him to keep going, saying that it was really “cute- er- I mean cool” that he knew all of their names. Leo blushed what he thought was a little too much before continuing until he got distracted by Jason looking at him with what could’ve been adoration, if Leo didn’t know him better.

Jason and Leo started talking until the tension was so thick that you could probably cut it with something Leo could pull out of his tool belt. They were sitting, by that time, quite close together.

That’s when it happened.

Jason couldn’t take it anymore and just asked.

“Leo, can I kiss you?”

Leo just nodded, too blown away to be able to say something.

Jason inched closer until their faces were an inch away from each other. Leo filled the gap. As their lips collided, there was a spark so intense that it could’ve been mistaken for one of Jason’s.

VALGRACE SHOOL AU PT. 4 (I think?)

“Oh, yeah. I live in the apartment building on Canterbury Street with my Abuela. What about you?” Leo replies, weirdly happy with the idea of Jason living near him. 

They continued to talk, sharing little things about themselves like how they grew up, their favourite colours, foods and animals, but it all felt so much more intimate to Leo than just doing it in class. 

They walked home, Jason’s house being just a street down from Leo’s. As they parted ways, Jason promised to text Leo later.

A little while later, Leo was sitting in his room, doing his homework when his phone buzzed.

He went to check it and saw it was Jason as his heart did a happy little flip.

the firefly time Jason and Leo said I love you was completely unplanned. Drew had been at Jason all week- complimenting him, touching him, she even offered to give him head one time! (He obviously said no and ran away before she could answer but apparently she still didn’t get it the hint, along with the bunch of other rejections he had given her) he was really uncomfortable but she just kept going. Leo knew everything that was going on but they didn’t know what to do…

Jason didn’t think she knew about his and Leo’s relationship.

One day, he and Leo had been making out in Jason’s cabin when Drew barged in without knocking, as she had done two previous times this week. She took one look at them and stormed back out, straight into her cabin where screaming could be heard seconds later… Jason still felt glad that she knew, though.

Then, bad things started happening to Leo. Just little inconveniences, at first, tools that he couldn’t pull out of his belt. Then, Festus wouldn’t start. More and more things started happening, until they couldn’t just be a coincidence. Drew also started being horrible towards Leo. Trying to spread rumours, trying to charm speak him into doing dumb things like driving Festus into the big house (it never worked because he wasn’t attracted to her but that didn’t stop her from trying) and randomly going up to Leo to insult him.

until one day, Leo had had enough. Drew went up to him while he was sitting with Jason at the Zeus table and started insulting him as per usual. He didn’t care about it. At first, it was just the normal stuff she said

“you’re so scrawny”

“did you accidentally light your hair on fire? It looks shitty”

Jason tried to get her to go away once but Leo just put his hand over Jason’s, effectively silencing him but also making Drew more upset. Then, she went too far.

“I don’t even know why you’re with him, Jason. He’s so ugly. You should be with me.”

Leo stood up so fast that even Drew stepped back.

“You know what, Drew? Just because you’re so insecure and desperate that you’re trying to get with my boyfriend doesn’t mean that you have any right to insult me or even imply that Jason would leave me for you. I love him and he loves me so why don’t you fuck off?”

Drew looked shocked and angry before turning around and marching away.

Leo sat back down, unaware of all the eyes on him before Jason kissed him.

“I love you”

Leo works with Jason for what feels like fifteen minutes, joking, laughing, actually learning and just talking. Leo’s forgotten what that felt like… he also talked to the other kids there! He’s pretty sure Apollo’s got a bit of a god complex but he seems super funny and nice, and so does everyone else. He’s pretty sure he even saw Will and Nico holding hands when they thought he wasn’t looking, once or twice. 

When he looked up at the clock at the front of the room, he was shocked and slightly sad that he had roughly five minutes left. Annabeth  stood up at the front of the classroom and began to announce that it was time to get ready to go and he quickly exchanged numbers with Jason. 

… and everyone else.

He said goodbye to everyone before starting to walk out of the school and down the road towards his Abuela’s, almost putting in his earbuds when he hears a familiar voice calling his name. He turns around to see Jason, maybe fifteen feet away. Jason jogs up to him until he’s right next to Leo, smile and cute little blush on his face the whole time. “I didn’t know you walked this way, Leo?”

VALGRACE AT SCHOOL AU PT. 2

Leo walks deeper into the classroom and all eyes stay on him when Annabeth walks up to him with a smile and calculating eyes. “Hey! Leo, right? Mr. D told me you’d be coming! My names Annabeth, by the way” she introduced, “these are Percy, Nico, Will, Hazel, Frank, Rachel, Lester or Apollo and Jason. Piper couldn’t be here today but you’ll probably meet her soon” she added while gesturing to each one. 

Each waved, except for Jason who just stared with… a blush..? Probably not. Percy nudged him, knocking him out of his trance and he quickly waved, although awkwardly so. 

Leo sat down near Percy, having no idea what to do when Jason came up to him. “Uh.. h-hey” Leo stuttered awkwardly. “Hi” Jason replied with a small smile, “do you need help? You look really lost” he added, smile growing a little wider. Leo took a second to take Jason in. God, he looked good… as Jason smiled, a scar going vertically across his lip became more apparent. His clearly natural blonde hair looked soft and fluffy with his slightly overgrown crew cut and his bright blue eyes sparkled with something that seemed to make them electric. Leo realised he was staring and felt his face heat up. “Um- yeah, I do”

Leo is a HUGE clothes stealer. He can and will steal Jason’s hoodies and shirts and will wear them almost everywhere. Jason finds it ADORABLE. He’ll wear the shirts under his overalls that he wears when he’s making things in bunker 9 but Jason’s hoodies NEVER leave the safety of fairly clean, inside areas (cabins, the big house, etc) when they don’t smell like Jason anymore, he’ll find them back in him closet, washed and folded like they were never gone.
