“HYUCK!”

The boy looks up from his phone, surprised by the sudden call. You told him you were going to be taking a nap, so you shouldn’t be screaming his name at the top of your lungs.

“What is it, babe?” he asks, raising the volume of his voice slightly in case you shut the door to the bedroom.

“OH MY GOD IT’S MOVING!”

Curious, Haechan sets his phone on the couch and starts making his way towards your voice. “I can’t help you if you don’t tell me what’s wr– HOLY SHIT WHAT IS THAT.” He stops in his tracks, eyeing the large eight-legged creature near the side of the bed.

“GET IT OUT, GET IT OUT!!” you wail, pointing at the spider as if your boyfriend didn’t already spot it. You wobble on the mattress, moving yourself further away from it.

Haechan hides behind the doorframe, peeking only his head into the room in order to keep an eye of the target. “CAN’T YOU DO IT? YOU’RE THE ONE THAT’S GONNA SLEEP HERE.”

“IT’S MOVING AGAIN!! OH MY GOD, I THINK IT’S A DADDY LONG LEG!” Your grip on the blanket tightens.

“NOW IS NOT THE TIME FOR SEXUAL JOKES, Y/N! THAT SHIT IS GOING TO KILL US TONIGHT.”

“Hyuckie…” You stare at him desperately, trying to get him to save you from this life-threatening situation.

He takes a deep breath before letting go of the doorframe. Tiptoeing around the spider, he makes his way to where you stand on the bed. “Come on, we have to get out of here.”

You leap into his arms, wrapping yourself around him like a koala. Haechan supports you with his arms and sprints out of the bedroom, slamming the door shut. When the two of you finally make it to the living room, he throws you onto the couch.

“We are not going to sleep in there until someone brings us that spider’s corpse.”

“baaaaaaabe!” you called out.

you set aside the book in your hand and tried to hide yourself under the blankets. of course, it wasn’t actually going to do anything, but the thought of that spider landing on your skin seemed worse than the depths of hell. you’ve had an irrational fear of spiders since you were a child, and never want to relive that one memory. 

jaemin comes running through the doors, almost in a sweat, and says, “what?! are you okay?!” obvious that jaemin took off in a hurry, you shook your head and said, “babe, it’s a daddy long legs!”  

he laughs and jokes, “now, now, who else you callin’ daddy long legs besides me?” you tear up and point at the brown creepy-crawly on the wall. once jaemin notices you break just a little by a spider, you can see him compose himself and take a deep breath. jaemin was scared of spiders, too. but you didn’t know that he would do just about anything for you.

five minutes pass, and jaemin successfully catches the spider and releases it outside. you’re still curled up in your blanket, even holding your breath as jaemin did the entire thing. but once he comes back from the bathroom to wash his hands, your sad puppy eyes begin to overflow with tears, and the only thing jaemin can do is jump into the blankets with you and hold you tight.

as jaemin wipes your tears, “don’t worry, babe. i have your back and i will always have your back. even if it is a daddy long legs. like me,” and smirks as you playfully hit his chest.

you laid back in the plastic lawn chairs in your backyard as you watched your daughter play with the basketball. the backyard wasn’t big, but it was generous enough to fit a basketball hoop and maybe a makeshift volleyball net. your daughter, jieun, seemed to take a liking towards sports, who she obviously got from her dad, jaehyun.

as you slowly space out into your thoughts, you hear the glass sliding door open in front of you, followed by the scuffle of sandals. you quickly glance behind you to see jaehyun with his hands on his hips, adorning a smile you hadn’t seen since your wedding day.

“is jieun really playing basketball? willingly? ah,” he clutches his chest jokingly, “i’m touched! taking after her father, i know.”

he shouts out to jieun, “ji-ji! you’re going to be a great point guard when you’re older! just like me,” and smirks when he looks at you.

you put your hand to your eyes and laugh, “i can’t see this! my daughter becoming an athlete and not a pianist like me, no way!” jaehyun looks back at you and smiles fondly. he has always been appreciative of your art, and you have only been the same towards his love for the sport.

you lock gazes with him and as you both begin to reach for each other, you both hear jieun shout, “hey! no flirting on my watch!”

I did have a ticket to both fansigns 😣 I met Kai and Baekhyun so it was still really great but im an NCTzen so I was really hoping to meet Mark Lee or any other of the NCT members 😞😞 i at least got to see him both days and you're right! He IS even cuter in person. But i didn't get a chance to talk to him although he was so close 😩The most devastating part was on both days the girls right behind me in line got mark 😭😭 i was so close

ok but mini storytime: i was the second to last in our little group that they split up and my friend was last, so it was kai and mark that were the two last ones. i was supposed to get kai, but mark and i made eye contact and he made that lil smiley thing he does (i’m gushing rn) and i was like: ok. TUNNEL VISION and i went STRAIGHT to him instead of kai (i feel bad lmao). and the staff tried to tell me to go to kai but i think mark just said like “oh it’s okay” or did some sort of hand motion to them and then motioned me to come towards him. i’m in Love!
