How’s everythin goin, creator of Sensetale?

*sigh* I should probably stop accidently leaving y'all in the dark, so first off I've been fine, sensetale isn't canceled and I have been active... not on sensetale but active, I've been working on games had ideas for this and that and have been trying to make stuff and get better at sprite work and writing and stuff. I felt like my current writing style just wasn't going to make a story that people would relate to or feel good about, i love what i've done so far but after the ruins i felt like sensetale got a little messy and such and i just wanted to iron out some stuff despite all of the stuff going on. plus the next part of sensetale is going to have a lot of custom stuff and i... felt like the sprites i was making weren't good enough, i'm not sure if i'll end up remaking that area stuff but if i do it will be for the better, the other option is bringing people onto the team but a lot of asks for help haven't gone the best and so someone who could help with sprites feels sorta out of the question as i think all the people who could help have seen it and decided not to help. which is totally fine but it means progress is going to be slow. beyond that, i also... just have a life outside of this, work, paying rent, hanging out with friends, helping with projects, a bunch of stuff like that and unless a miracle happened i can't really sit around making stuff like i used to when i started sense back when i was... what like 17 or something?

despite general motivation loss from feeling like my work isn't good enough, i never have wanted sensetale to go unfinished i do wanna finish it one day and perhaps i'll be able to go into it at full force one day but it hasn't been like that for a while

In this AU, there was a war between monsters and humans.

BUT, not all humans approved of this war and not all monsters fought for their freedom.

In the end of it, a barrier was made with monster and human magic to trap the traitorous humans and the fearless monsters underground.

The monsters who stayed on the surface were miserable but they never lost hope of a better future.

Hey happy new year pal! Do you have any sensetale updates? :D

well first of all happy new year! second off, i really wish i did, but i guess i can use this to give more of a situation update so that people understand what's been going on, so after i released part 3 i started working on the next part almost instantly, but i knew i had to do some real life stuff too soon, i was able to build some of the monster village and a few npcs along with writing part of the parts dialogue, after that i got spriting block, well rather i felt like the sprites i was making were not good enough for the future parts and so i stopped till i could find some motivation, that time has yet to come and even if it had come at some point i was in no position to work on sensetale, i needed and still need to figure out some irl stuff before i'm able to really commit myself to sensetale, i tried asking for help with sprites or writing a bit so i could just like... get part of it worked on while i was dealing with stuff but i guess not many people saw those posts and those who did either didn't wanna help or couldn't which is understandable, i've had to cut back on some projects i was helping on too. but with staggering motivation, mental blocks and issues keeping me from working on sensetale and even a physical block of my computer not having internet for a while, it's been a bit of a nightmare, i've been working on other projects when i didn't feel like working on sensetale, and a few of those are close to completion and i will be advertising them here so hopefully that will help things a bit but sensetale is sorta in a rut right now, without a lot of time to work on it, making things is slow and will most likely continue to be unless i get some hands or help. right now i just need to get improve my mental health a bit and find a way to convince myself my sprites don't suck so i can start working on things fully again, and since the village isn't finished i can't even start making panels for the comic i know this isn't the update you wanted but as much as it pains me to give a status like this it also feels cruel leaving people in the dark, still part of me still fears this will have people lose hope in the au but i do genuinely plan to finish sensetale in it's entirety, no matter how long it takes me, i never want to end sensetale off without a proper ending unless it would be damaging myself to continue, even if no one watches or enjoys the comics i just wanna finish something and leave a mark. anyways while there is that i do have some vague info about the other projects, guess just some thing to build mystery or get people interested in those other projects without completely spoiling them project 1 teaser: "Within the frozen snow and ghastly fog, you will be put to the test. for a god walks among us, shining bright as a star, lets see if you can play your role or fall to the protector of all monsters!" project 2 teaser: "halls of the forgotten, left to ruin, a plan he never thought he'd have to use, but with how all the others have left, who's to say this one won't do the same. stopping you from leaving to save others. that's the promise he made to himself, but will he be able to keep it? or will he falter, either way. let's hope this won't be the end of your tale." as a note: - both of the projects are undertale related - these are not new, just seen from a "new light" - this is not related to sensetale

yes people have figured out the sign thing, less of a puzzle and more just some small lore for people to think about, and no I will not be confirming anything right now, at least not on the blog. i’d rather have people discuss it and what it means.

Since humans are in the underground too are there going to be original human enemies or still just monster enemies

I'd say yes and no? there are humans and some of them might try and stop Undyne but since humans are stronger and there aren't as many humans as monsters most human enemies would either be mini-bosses or bosses, while I can't confirm there will be normal enemies humans I have considered human enemies that aren't from undertale and even if i don't there will still be more human npcs so at least there's that! hopefully I'll be able to do some good stuff with that

people have been asking stuff, and I do have a stockpile of asks I should get to at some point but I've genuinely just been really busy, it will be worth it I assure you but I haven't had much time to focus on smaller stuff, unless I get someone to either help put together asks or help make sensetale stuff it's just gotta be like this, I can't do everything right now while I'd love to give updates on how the project is going that's also been sorta slow (plus it's mostly script stuff I've had a sorta hard block on making sprites right now so it sucks) that being said i will most likely have some content to post but it will be general UT type content and not directly related to sensetale

I just caught up with Sensetale (it's awesome so far, keep up the good work :D) and I noticed the Sans and Papyrus roles aren't listed in the roles. Is that 'cause they don't exist here... or is it perhaps meant to be a surprise? >:)

well first of all, thank you! it honestly took me a while to realize that part 3 is about as big as all 3 past parts combined so i was just worried that people would think the part doesn't have enough content or was too boring. anyways i'm not sure what you mean by sans and papyrus aren't listed i assume you mean the people who take their roles and not the characters themselves since they've both shown up in the comic, it's not really a secret as flowey and chara take the "role" of sans and papyrus, but while the roles aren't a secret their designs are and i don't think anyone has gotten even remotely close to how they'll look in the comic and i plan to not show them off until snowdin, i might be a bit more lenient towards some future designs but anyone past snowdin won't be shown off until either we get to the snowdin replacement area (lavilla) or some ways into it, of course even then some designs are off the table till they show up in the comic but who says we have to wait all the until later area's to see them in the comic? characters can show up anywhere even if not physically, so we'll just have to see

The wind is howling... (part 3) I hope you all enjoy part 3! This took a lot of work, especially that big area (which i finished and then had to redo since I saved over the file for the area by accident) but I finally got it out! even if it isn’t perfect. Sorry if this isn’t the most exciting part. Oh yeah and sorry this took more than a year I was really trying to get it out but stuff kept happening which I explained earlier. Part 4 honestly might also take a while to make but it might be a little quicker since I did work on the next area for part 4 while I couldn’t work on part 3, however it’s still not finished. so if I don’t get help for sense stuff it might also take a while, I sure hope it doesn’t take more than a year but yeah. if you enjoy the part and are good at sprites or making area’s for Undertale style projects and wanna help out I'd love to have to have help. (or have can make music, but that won’t help with the comic just with the au in general)

A small explanation

so it’s been a while, I honestly didn’t expect to take this long on this part much less... more than a year, i really did wanna get part 3 out a bit quicker but god shit just kept happening, and part of it was my fault i took a bit off after part 2 to hang with a friend and my family i started working on a project that i wanna also get out at some point that has more to do with code and stuff rather than comic stuff i tried focusing on music somedays but then there was just a bunch of weird events and shit, to the point where i wasn’t really sure if it would get better, but i kept working on sense when i had time cause it makes me happy and i wanna make something people will like i won’t go too in detail but i had an argument with my parents and due to weird wording and just general misunderstanding i thought i got kicked out and i had to move in with my friend, so i’ve had to spend a bit of my time trying to find a job and get a bunch of stuff sorted out, then a few weeks ago when i felt like i might finally finish the comic, i got covid, i’m fine now just really tired and it did indeed delay things, before people send stuff telling me to take my time and/or wait till things are better, they are! things are pretty nice right now and while i still have to figure things out, it’s been going pretty well as of recently and my friends, partner, and family have all been supporting me and making me feel better when i need a boost that being said part 3 is finished, it will release soon i just need to ask some people to review it and check for any mistakes (tho some our bound to slip through with 300+ panels)  i do hope this is worth the wait, i wanted to make so many more poses or make the area look better or something, but with how long I took and seeing as, again it’s just me working on sensetale right now, decided that it’d be better to just finish up the part and get it out so at least y’all have some content, it’s also why i stopped answering asks for a while, i wanted to do more but i really just wanted to work more on the comic i do hope i can get some of the parts out faster without scarifying quality but I also don’t want this to take more than a year again, I would love some help with sprites or music or area’s or something because that will help move things along or at least add more content for parts when they release but that’s the end of this... not so short explanation and i hope you’re all excited for what comes next  - Tammy

well i would love to, but like i'm not really good at drawling, so if i were to make sheets it would have to be of their pixel sprites which i feel like sorta defeats the purpose of a refence sheet, since it's supposed to show you things you may not have been able to see or know about the characters, but i mean i would love to make stuff explaining things about the characters and such

what do you think of the Antholovania theme for flowey

Glad you asked! as the person who MADE ANTHLOVANIA originally, i'd say it's a big regert, i feel like the song could be made good or has potential to be a good song but, what would be the point, flowey's genocide song isn't gonna be like it at all since anthlovania right now is just a megalovania rip off, same goes for puzzling nightmares despite me making a cover of that one papyrus isn't the treat or obstacle in genocide, even being connected to undyne and not liking what she would be doing, he wouldn't suddenly start to think it's his mission or goal to wipe out everything, in fact he might think it's his punishment, to see someone wipe out everyone you know and love and even those who didn't deserve it while genocide might not be for a long long while, and the actions of the genocide route would be really out of character for undyne. i'll say this, if there's anything i got right with anthlovania, it's that the true threats of the genocide route are flowey and undyne, if i were to remake anthlovania or make a new genocide song for sense it'd be mainly about flowey and undyne, a terrifying song song showing that shows the unrelenting force of two people who know about timelines and know that if either give up, they'll lose, both willing to kill anyone to get strong enough to take down the other i guess the best way i could describe the flowey's face off song is like... your best nightmare but with a hint of finale in it, making a hectic song that's booming with energy but also not as foreboding or slow as most of parts of your best nightmare after all flowey isn't going to be as predictable or easy as sans, after all if a character knows you died and came back... why would they use the same old tricks?

Have u seen AU theme videos on your au?

I'm aware of them, it just matters on if you're talking about the old ones that have been around for a while or if there's some new one that popped up, either way none of them are canon and they're also quite annoying as a lot of them have very wrong info about the au common misconceptions in those videos are normally: - undyne being a human (tho this is the most uncommon one in most videos) - sans is a flower - asgore is a generic looking ghost monster - flowey has a body or is more human like - chara is some sorta storyswap chara ripoff/is an overly happy kid - frisk has a suit of armor or has a like... link motif/ stick bow thing? - monster kid or asriel being alphys - toriel having the generic box/ex/neo bodies - sans is asriel - having all or almost none of the music be official all of these things are things that aren't true in sensetale, and are just things the fandom has done to try and fill in the gaps or think that sense will follow the formula that old au's have set. which i can say personally, it won't.

Hey! So I am not really informed about this au, apart from it being a role-switch au. So I've wanted to ask, what are the role switches for the main cast?

I guess since this keeps getting asked i guess i'll answer it now even tho i personally don't like the idea of "roles" in aus since it implies that the character is going to be like them which isn't the case at all undyne is frisk papyrus is chara gaster is asriel sans is flowey muffet is toriel asgore is napstablook the "flower" is sans chara is papyrus mettaton is grillby frisk is undyne alphys is mad dummy asriel is gaster the "angry ghost" is alphys toriel is mettaton napstablook is muffet grillby is asgore these characters are generally what i'd say is the main cast and despite the roles they're in they don't always have the same rules, the flower does not and has never had a jacket or body, and doesn't have the best sense of humor papyrus and gaster are from the underground and have never even seen the surface asriel was never give the title royal scientist, in fact he wanted to be astronomer but to do that he'd need to get to the surface so he set his sights on trying to do that, among other things

frisk and chara will actually have the more yellow-ish skin well that's the plan right now but it might change, either way i see no reason to change frisk' skin color right now As for chara? something something them being dead and the version we see in genocide is just a projection of them, something something kris maybe being an alternative chara and also having yellow skin, something something both of the other humans in UT also have yellow skin tho these are sorta loose, i just started making their sprites from a kris base and sorta liked it but again the skin color is pretty easy to change on the sprites so if i change my mind later then i'll make it closer to what they looked like in UT

yes i'm alive, personal and IRL stuff has happened and i can't work on the comic right now so this really hasn't been my main focus, as much as i do want to finish the next part of sense, i will get to it eventually but with the sprite work i need to do it's sorta hard to work on it right now
