Thank you! Actually just started this on my lunch break today.

Horse holidays and Haunted Lakes. Chicago Med, PH, Captain America and minor stranger things crossover.

Mouse was shaking his head in amusement. This was pure chaos. And the fun kind. Jay and Zak were arguing. Though playfully rather than seriously for once. Billy was trying to stop a Celpie from eating his hair or him while Max was teasing him about it.

Since my brain only wants fanfic at the moment, I apologize beforehand since I guess not many around here play Genshin Impact.

Wriothesly put his coat over the sofa and stretched his shoulders. To Neuvillette’s amusement, Lumine was also antsy and did some stretching.

“You know this isn’t a fight?”

“I know, but I haven’t done much today except being Chiori’s mannequin and I need to move”, she stated with her voice filled with a deep longing to be active.

“Care for a round in the Pancreation ring later?”

“Count me in.”

Their little banter put Neuvillette in an even better mood than before as he turned the music on.

“Shall we? I don’t like to see you two stressed for the lack of physical activity.”

He beamed at her and kissed her a second time before putting her back on her feet with an embarrassed look.

“Sorry, I got carried away.”

With a goofy grin she put her head in her neck. The heat rising in her was either her fire demanding attention or Wynthan’s action, she couldn’t clearly tell, maybe it was both.

“I like that side of you better than the grumpy, silent observer I saw at the archives.”

He ran his hand through his hair with an apologetic look.

“Yeah, sorry about that. It is just as long as we don’t know for sure what to do I like to keep Ylvante out of the loop.”

“I understand.”

🃏 - What in your world is so out there that it baffles everyone? An example from our world could be whales that are so huge we can't imagine it, or medical advances.

This is... difficult to answer cause the world of liaisons x vampires is just our world, but with vampires.

However, one thing that astonished me in doing my novella research was just how long the ancien regime kept their power, despite the failing nature of their system and the corruption of the monarchy.

Marie Antoinette famously said when the palace fell (paraphrasing), "You have to kill me before you take my crown (the monarchy) or my husband (the incompetent monarch)."

No words for Marie Antoinette of France, just yikes. I think she's fascinating but an awful person and was a mediocre royalist at best.

Happy Worldbuilding Wednesday! 🐙 - Does your world have a beast like "the kraken" in the depths?

Helloooo! Thanks for the askkkk! (And I hope you're still hangin' in there!)

Yssaia doesn't have a direct Kraken comparison but there is both one of those classic Serpent-Kaiju and, more relevant to the main story, an Abyss Goddess named Eris!

She collects eyes and hands out the ability to see magic! She has a sister named Yeulia who loves humans. Sometimes, she tries to mimic her but unlike Yeulia, she gets no joy out of humans directly. So, this confuses her. She does enjoy watching human lives go to shit, though -- and so she picks out interesting people to rise to power and then orchestrates their fall. In the positive, she is chaos, but in the negative, she is entropy and individualism and apathy.

Could she ever love? Could anyone ever love her?

Heads Up Seven Up

I'm going to perfectly honest, I'm not actually sure what the rules for this are. So I'm just posting the last thing that I wrote.

He gazed down at the water of the lake, it sparkled in the afternoon sunlight, a thousand shards of light glimmering amongst the sapphire expanse. Beneath the surface he could see flashes of silver and gold, fish, hundreds of them, they swam and darted beneath the beneath the hull, occasional one would approach the surface, just long enough for Narul to make out the chromatic glimmer of its scales, the flash of a tail fin. Further down he could just make out the swaying fronds of lakeweed, verdant greens and rich reds, between these aquatic trees larger things weaved. He thought he saw the flash of teeth. He stepped back from the edge.

Cal feels the heaviness of long sorrow in Eira’s aura, something he understands all too well. He takes her hand without thinking, trying to offer comfort. He doesn’t want to say “I’m sorry.” It never feels like enough. But nothing is ever enough to erase such loss. So he just glides his thumb over the back of her hand, gently, and doesn’t say anything. After a minute of nothing, she holds his hand back, the grip tentative, but there.

“I’m strong in the Force, so I’m alive,” Eira whispers after a while. “But it took me some time to be grateful for it.”

the emotional hurt/comfort continues! if I continue along this trajectory things are about to get worse. so. we'll see.

Worldbuilding in 5

Thank you @anyablackwood for tagging me, even if it was forever ago! I'm trying to get back on top of things and catch back up! "Rules: post 3-5 images of a place in your world and tell us a bit about it."

After the fall of Old Thuille, a city-state secluded in the mountains rose in its place. A home to Noble Mages escaping the Saegen markings who could carry on the legacy of Old Thuille. Or so they claim. Their hot springs, rich mineral resources for an easy industrialization, and their affinity for magic has prepared for the return of their Emperor. However, quite often, their hubris gets the best of them...

Nouveau Thuille is very cold and only gets sun twice a day -- at dawn and dusk, when it can creep in during the sides of the mountain. It snows year round, but the hotsprings ensure that humans can actually survive here somewhat reasonably. While humans cannot drink the hotsprings water directly, their animals can and humans have learned to purify it further since -- as well as melt snow and ice for their water.

You've reminded me now that I need to do fashion sketches for the people of Thuille. I've had their fashion the most defined and least changed since the beginning and I gotta come back to it... O_O
