WEIGHT UPDATE
actually over the moon right now i can see myself getting skinnier and iā€™m not super low on energy, itā€™s been quite hard at times but definitely worth it
I weighed myself on the 4th July and i was 153lbs
weighed myself today (13th july) and iā€™m 146lbs!!
obviously you canā€™t mathematically lose 7lbs of fat in just over a week but itā€™s very nice to see the scales go down and clothes fitting looser
Ive been eating roughly 500-1200 calories - most days iā€™ve stuck around the 800 mark.
I think my biggest tip is taking my movement into account and adjusting my calories based on how much ill be on my feet and moving around in the day because of work and stuff - eg if iā€™m working an 8 hour shift i will probably eat 1200 cals and if iā€™m off for the day and have nothing planned ill stay on the lower end of the scale
also been making sure to burn at least 350-500 cals a day - tracking this with my apple watch
but yeah iā€™m so happy right now / definitely expecting the loss to slow down but it wonā€™t discourage me, iā€™ve got this :)

not weighed myself yet iā€™m a little bit scared but my mum said my legs look thin the other day
also my back rolls when i stand have pretty much gone and that was my main goal - i canā€™t stand the feeling of having them
probably going to wait another week or so till i weigh in - been staying under 1000 cals most days and burning 500 cals - one day i did do 1500 but i had a 10 hour shift and needed the energy
anyways so far so good - my ed voice is pretty calm and not too depressing for once i feel like i have it all under control

my day!
had work from 11-3:30pm
had a small banana and a slice of toast again just to stop me getting too tired as iā€™m on my feet the whole shift - 232 cals
had 2 black iced coffees to curb the hunger but as i was mostly on the coffee machine today i caved and had 2 off brand lotus biscuits - 48 cals so not so bad
came home and had a couple olives cos i was so tired - 35 cals
then had to eat dinner to avoid any suspicion coz iā€™m home on summer break and w my parents - chicken, bread and salad - 513
then i went for an hour walk after dinner which was nice burned a couple calories - also completed 11.5k steps!
overall ate 828 cals and burned 550 as of now at 9pm so my net total is 278 :)

not the end of the day yet but kind of bored so just gonna type away
had work at 11 so ate a small banana before (80 cals)
the chef always makes me toast so i had one slice and left the other (180 cals) - thatā€™s just an estimate idk how many cals were acc in there
had 2 black coffees
so far burned 290 cals and have some 4k steps - only had a 4.5 hour shift so not much moving around but iā€™m gonna go for my hour walk after dinner
having a safe food for dinner so should be fine

What to do when you stop losing weight and you're eating below 1200 calories.
The gut instict of course is to cut lower. Many of us (Myself included) are bad about going... oh 800 doesnt work anymore? Time to eat 600. And yes it does result in quicker fat loss.
But here's why you shouldn't necessarily just lower your cals more if youre already hardcore restricting and still not losing.
You metabolism is like a fire. It will never stop burning, but calories are kindle. So when you cut calories. The fire (your metabolism) is still burning what was put on the pyre prior and will burn weight off super quickly. But as you decrease the calories (kindle) that fire slowly is suffocated out.
This happens regardless of your calorie deficit. It's natural.
But how do we fix this stall in weight loss? The lowering of the metabolic fire?
For most it's easy enough. You eat more for a day (add more kindle for a day) and the fire will spark up pretty high again.
But what if you're fire is so low its almost out and you're eating like 200 cals and barely losing.
Well sadly you're gonna have to do something a bit more long term. You're gonna have to reverse diet.
This means adding in a few extra calories every day until you're at your maintenence before cutting again.
Now you may be wondering. Wouldn't you gain weight? And the answer is a tentative yes because it is only in the short term. Any of the little weight you gain will quickly be lost once that fire is roaring again. And then you can go back to losing quickly. You also should add in more exercise which will help offset the weight gain while your metabolism gets back up and running.

at my job you require a uniform but theyā€™re out of tops and need to order some in for me so asked me my size - iā€™m a US6 or UK10 iā€™m almost all brands
my manager looked at me and said to the lady in the shop that they probably shouldnā€™t bother getting me a womens size because they wonā€™t fitā€¦.
like what the fuck i know iā€™m abit chunky and have a large chest (34DD) but no need for that, anyways ill show themā€¦. kind of needed that motivation

need to set some goals for myself
- no more than 1200 cals a day
- 10k steps minimum
- eat high protein and low carb
- try to get a few fruits and veg in as snacks
- only proper meal allowed is dinner
- close the rings on apple watch
- an hour walk everyday
- no eating at work

a bit of a piggy back on my last post
last year i saw one of my greatest friends fall into anorexia, ive known her for 10 years so it was very hard to see but she almost lost her life several times
she was only around 45kg and 5ā€11 which was awful to see and seeing her suffer warned me off ever wanting to be dangerously underweight
i want to be skinny but not dyingā€¦. i donā€™t want to be like her because i love my life
i just wanted to share this experience on here because i know a lot of us in the community have this fantasy of being so sick weā€™re hospitalised but when you see it happening right before youā€™re eyes to someone you love and value deeply it makes it alot realer and scarier
so i guess what iā€™m trying to say is weā€™re in this together but donā€™t let that be you, anorexia is not a choice and it sucks weā€™re here but please try and be as safe as possible

this account has been inactive for over a year but itā€™s kind of a bittersweet feeling to be backā€¦
over the last year i started college and moved away from home, i thought finally this is my chance to finally be thin without my parents always being on my back
when i first moved back in september i immediately lost a lot of weight, not intentionally surprisingly but it was mostly down to me developing a cocaine problem and partying too much and not having enough money for food because i was blowing it all on drugs
so when i started college i was around 150ā€“155lbs (yikes) and i quickly dropped to 130 which was probably my lowest weight in recent years with my ed and i felt amazing
eventually i had to kick the drug habit as i was in debt and wouldnā€™t you know the weight just piled back onā€¦ and it has been since then
iā€™ve been pretty up and down with my weight since january but i would say itā€™s remained in the high 140s early 150s and my ed has been almost silent
but iā€™m home for the summer now and old habits are starting to creep up, just weighed myself and iā€™m 150lbs.. and 5ā€4 - iā€™ve tended not to look at myself so much over the last year but when i looked closely in the mirror i was just overcome with disgust with myself
i understand that 150 on other people may look skinny and nice all depends on height and shape but all of it goes to my stomach and face so for me that is not an ideal weight
i need to lose weight and i want it for real this time, i want it so badly
iā€™m going to start slow itā€™s been a long time since i restricted but iā€™m more determined than ever to do this for myself and i hate to say i find a lot of comfort in ana - sheā€™s my oldest friend
no one is probably going to read all of this but i missed you guys alot and feels good to be back, letā€™s all stay as safe as possible and do this together

Hey do you have any tips what I should eat or how I could suppress the hungry feeling, I have a eating disorder since 3 years but I still donā€™t have that much control sometimes now I want to restrict again and I need a few tips for the begging?
the control thing is something i still struggle with after 10 long years in this lol but here are a few things that help me
to suppress hunger
- drink warm lemon water
- when you have meals try to make them as high protein as possible (having one meal that will fill you up is better than not eating and risking a binge)
- sounds obvious but water is key just always drink it
- brush your teeth it immediately makes you not want to eat
- go for a walk (thereā€™s been loads of studies about people who took a 15 min walk when they had cravings who said they went away after)
for control i have some tips
- taking the time to get pens and some paper and write down some really specific rules, make it look nice maybe put it on your wall if you live alone (when you have a set of rules itā€™s much easier to stay on track)
- some of my rules include things like always drink water between bites, chew at least 20 times just really specific things
- 3 small meals a day is much better than nothing all day and a massive binge
- take up a hobby or get a job where lots of your free time will be occupied it will help take your mind off food maybe
- i recommend this time and time again but a fitness tracker changed my life, when i finally knew how many cals i had burned in a day i could plan my day and control what i ate (knowledge = control lol)
- it takes 21 days to form a habit, if you can make a daily ritual and do it consistently for a period of time it should eventually stick!

sorry iā€™ve been gone so long itā€™s exam season and these are my finals so yeah lmao
anyway hereā€™s an update if anyone cares :)
so the past month iā€™ve been going out a lot obvs coz itā€™s before exams and some other stuff happened with my family they basically caught on to my bullshit again which meant i had to eat so i ended up gaining about 4lbs which isnā€™t too bad but iā€™m going on 2 holidays this summer so i need to be skinny
my first one is in 7-8 weeks and i need to lose 20lbs minimum iā€™ve set myself that goal, ideally 25 would be nice but with exams and stuff i wonā€™t have as much time to work out :/
anyway coz iā€™m at home now i can be way more in control of my diet and iā€™m in the clear with my parents hereā€™s my plan!
breakfast: one apple or any fruit under 100 cals
lunch: one hard boiled egg
- this would put me at maximum 170 cals
dinner: sadly i donā€™t have control over this but because my other intake is so low i should be able to stay under 800 cals daily
because iā€™m not moving as much as iā€™m at my desk all day i plan to set myself 2 hours a day to work out so like a morning walk and an evening gym session - my goal is to burn 400-500 a day
anyway sorry iā€™m always doing this like starting new but living with parents is so hard fr like especially when they know whatā€™s going on :(

this is gonna sound crazy but hear me out
cucumber and steviaā€¦.
idk what it is i saw it on tik tok like people substituting it for watermelon coz watermelon has more calories and sugar and there was abit of cucumber left over so i decided to try and it was actually so good and coz stevia is so sweet it really satisfies my sweet tooth but without the calories!
