Black Clover Headcannons

Prompt: What it's like to be best friends with Black Clover characters. (outlining how you met, why they like you as a friend, what your relationship is like and what you like to do together).

Includes Asta, Yami, Mereoleona and Nozel.

Asta:

To be honest, I think it would be very difficult to become Asta's number one best friend, considering how well he gets along with literally everyone.

I'd say to have an advantage you would have to have known him from an earlier stage – namely his childhood in Hage village.

Before you were friends, he would always see you running around and helping at the local tilling fields. You were a peasant out in the country side of the Forbidden Realm, just as he was.

What initially drew him to you was your positivity and happiness. You were a very earnest child and many of the village's adults enjoyed having you around to help them farm.

One day he approached you, and ever since then you guys were inseparable.

He always had a bunch of energy and you always managed to keep up with his shenanigans.

Because of you he started helping around the village just like you, which ended up acting as a contributing factor to his wish of becoming the Magic Emperor.

He didn't really show it, but when he didn't get his grimoire on the day he was supposed to, he was a bit upset about it.

You were the one to motivate him to keep trying. You were literally the only person at the time to believe in his hard-working efforts.

As a result, he now keeps you in the highest regard for all the help you gave him.

Because of you, he strongly believes that his bonds with others are the key to unlocking his inner strength. You're quite literally the proof for his ideal.

When you meet up, the two of you like to hang out around Hage village. The place holds many memories for you, so you spend a lot of time catching up while walking and lounging around in your childhood meet up spots.

He loves to tell you about his exploits with the magic knights and he keeps you updated on the latest happenings in the country.

Sometimes he takes you to the royal capital or to the towns in the common realm. He doesn't go there too often himself, so the two of you go around exploring and doing fun things in general.

Unlike with others, Asta can also confide in you whenever he isn't feeling like his usual self. When he's down, you're the only person he honestly confides in, because he knows he'll feel better and that you'll end up finding a way to motivate him again.

Yami:

With this guy it's pretty simple. As long as you're straightforward with him and honest from day one, he'll end up taking a liking to you.

It doesn't matter whether you're super strong, gutsy or brave, as long as he can understand where you're coming from, he won't have anything against you.

However, I believe that in order for you to become his best friend you may have to be able to fight (either in battle or just standing up for yourself) – even to a small extent.

If he's genuinely impressed by one of your qualities, he'll want to spend more time with you.

He'll be amused by your antics and would truly find you intriguing enough to spend his time with.

But if he can learn something from you, that would be an even greater bonus. If you can challenge him and bring new concepts for him to try out in battle, he'll keep you around even more and his respect for you would skyrocket.

The first time you meet, it could literally be anywhere. You could either be a fellow magic knight, a random person on the street or someone drinking in a local bar – the options are limitless.

Yami opens up rather quickly after getting used to someone being around, so you don't necessarily have to know him for a super long time in order to become his number one friend (a few years is more than enough).

He enjoys his alone time and generally tends to be reserved, so if you're someone who can be quiet and inconspicuous he'll appreciate that greatly.

The two of you like to lazy around together most of the time. He invites you to the Black Bulls base often just to chill and strike up conversation ocassionally.

Everyone in the squad knows who you are, and literally all of them respect you just as much as their captain (they see you as practically two peas in a pod).

When something's bothering Yami, he would genuinely confide in you with anything (even if it's vulgar and ought not to be discussed). As a magic knights captain he feels the need to be strong in front of the his squad, so if he's ever in a pinch about something, you're the person he talks to.

He really likes when instead of sympathy you give him solid constructive criticism. He may be a bit defensive at first but once you knock some sense into him he'll begin to look at it your way, and more often then not he'll find the solution to his problem.

Naturally as your best buddy, he would hang around with you at his favourite bars often.

Even if you're not much of a drinker or a gambler, he enjoys the atmosphere of the place and the two of you always find ways to entertain yourselves there.

He trusts that you'll be able to protect yourself if need be (he truly sees your value), but he can be a bit possessive at times, especially if he's a bit drunk.

"Oi, what the hell. They're my friend you dunce. Go get your own." (He would say that with the most ticked off and intimidating expression).

The man has literally no shame in front of you. Honestly, he would even walk out naked and not bat an eye to your presence despite how indecent that is.

Mereoleona:

In all honesty, you would probably meet her in the middle of a forest.

As a kid she was very aggressive and wild, but despite that her heart was still pure.

When she first saw you walking by yourself through the wilderness, she grew intrigued and decided to go test your strength. You were close to her age which was something she instantly recognised.

It's said that strong people sense others like them from a distance, and that's exactly what happened between the two of you.

Somehow, you managed to stand your ground after your confrontation, and ever since then the two of you were attached by the hip.

Mereoleona loves to drag you around with her. You're considerably more passive compared to her which she adores about you (because you never resist when she literally kidnaps you).

She finds that adventures with you are always more fun than if she were to go alone, so be prepared for a bunch of spontaneous tests of courage and strength that she creates.

As her best friend, you're able to keep up with her and occasionally challenge her outright.

Even if you're not a mana genius or a combat expert, if you have any quality that far surpasses her she literally won't stop bugging you until she beats you (but she will always admire that quality of yours).

Over time, you'll learn to read her.

Mereoleona isn't a woman who expresses herself in ways other than toughness, but sometimes she lets a softer side slip.

She enjoys that she can open up to you without being viewed any differently. In fact, she's considerably softer towards you in general.

She truly loves that she can smile and laugh around you freely.

The two of you often stay up late, laying around outdoors and staring up at the dark sky the same way you used to do as kids. She talks to you about anything and everything, including more sensitive subjects such as her feelings towards her brother's injuries.

You're one of the only people capable of calming her down and she's very honest towards you as a result.

Nozel:

You would have to know this man a while before he considers even slightly opening up to you.

He's very cold on the surface and has a hard time expressing his true concerns, so naturally it would take ages of dedication to finally crack that shell.

The first time he began considering you an ally was when you stood up for him despite not needing to. Someone was making fun of his stoic expression and hairstyle, but for some reason you decided to shut them up.

You weren't a suck up, so he knew you weren't doing it just to get in his good books.

In fact, on the inside he's always admired your righteousness and peace-loving attitude.

After that incident, he actually started speaking to you properly. He graudally increased how often he spoke to you, and eventually he could be found with you more than with his siblings, which greatly surprised everyone.

He continued to hold you in high regard throughout the years. He saw you as a strong and independent person.

You never really relied on anyone to do anything, which only prompted him to confide business related problems with you more often (since he knew you weren't influenced easily by others).

He's only ever viewed you as a strong and greatly trusted ally (practically a confidant) until one day you called him your friend, at which stage he realised that this was in fact the case with you two.

It was foreign to him at first, but when you explained that the words ally and friend were practically the same thing, he realised that it wasn't as bad as he initially thought.

You are honestly the only person in the entire kingdom that can make him smile even a bit. Because of you, he's actually been caught smiling in front of others too – a very strange sight to those who know him.

You've finally discovered his fleeting non-existent sense of humour (which apparently only works when he's in a good mood).

He feels like he can express his problems with you easily enough. Of course he still gets a bit flustered when doing so, but your totally normal attitude towards his confessions brewed confidence in him, so he started doing so more often.

Whenever he's tired of paperwork or any official business, he calls you to his office just to have you around. He'll continue working even when you're there, but he'll give you a small smile if you bring him some tea.

Despite how busy his schedule is, you guys are always near each other. If not in the same room, then definitely in the same building.

He really enjoys talking to you in peace and even feels comfortable falling asleep near you when the two of you are alone.

Also, if anyone as much as insults you, good luck. They won't be going unpunished by Nozel's wrath.

Tokyo Revengers Imagine

What happens if you unexpectedly pin them down/catch them off guard or win against them in a fight? Featuring Mikey, Draken, Baji and Hanma :)

(Has a mildly romantic undertone)

Mikey:

Well there's no doubt in anyone's mind that he's one of the THE strongest characters in the series. In order to pin him down in any sense of the word you'd have to catch him completely off guard (given that you're a normal person).

It would have to be a setting when he's either, one: extremely tired or two: fully preoccupied with another task.

It can be a bit scary when you first approach him with the intention to pin him, but once you succeed it will truly be an accomplishment to be proud of.

However, since Mikey was caught by surprise he'll probably have no time to process anything and would flip your positions in an instant.

He'll be able to recognise that it was you before you hit the ground due to his reflexes and end up preventing your fall seconds away from impact.

As he holds you in his iron grip, he'll stare at you in surprise; dark eyes a bit wide with pleasant shock rippling through them.

"Oh, it's you, y/n-chin. I didn't know you could do that."

On the inside he'll be quite amazed at the action you thrust forward. Your display indicates that you know basic self defense at least to some extent, so his mood's far chipper now that you've proven that to him.

He's secretly quite happy that you're showing some interest in what he does best. He might even get you to demonstrate your new skill in front of the others – bragging that you got him down with it once.

Draken:

Similarly to Mikey, it would take a considerable level of distraction to properly pin him down, but Draken tends to be far more relaxed at heart so perhaps you might just pull it off in a normal situation.

Obviously he'll be able to tell that you're about to do something unusual – he may even recognise the position you're about to put him in – however, he'll end up just watching you with an amused grin as you do your best to knock him down.

Is the type to send you a challenging smirk when he realises what you're doing. It all but screams: "I triple dog dare you to go through with it – go on."

But despite his cocky attitude, if you succeed to place him in a solid hold he'll be fairly impressed by your strength – as well as surprised.

Who knew that you were capable of such a thing?

His eyes would widen and stare at you with disbelief. He'd clearly underestimated you and now that you had gotten him down he was a little bit flustered.

Would probably ask you politely to get off of him, despite his heart beating quicker the longer you kept him in your vice grip.

As soon as you're off, he'll just stare at you as though in a trance. Clearly you were much stronger than you let on.

It's only after you clear your throat does he snap out of it.

From there on out, if you ever mention that encounter to any of his friends he'll deny it ever occurred.

Baji:

Depending on how suddenly you decide to implement your plan, there's a chance that you might unintentionally scare him.

You're probably the last person he would expect to knock him down, so he'll be quite confused and will most likely ask: "what did I do?" thinking that he somehow upset you and yet didn't know about it.

You would have to explain that you were merely trying a new fighting move that you've recently learned to do, and you can pretty much watch as his entire face lights up in understanding.

After hearing your words he would jump up eagerly so that you could show him what you did again – except this time a bit slower and less aggressively.

Would definitely compliment your skills all while wearing a huge grin on his face.

Since he's quite experienced with fighting, he might even give you a few tips here or there – such as how to get a better grip or how to inflict more damage to the opponent.

He'll be very proud of you, but he'll also feel accomplished for teaching you something only he knew. After all, you probably have to help him a lot with school related stuff, so he'll feel great knowing that there's something that he can teach you in return.

He might even feel giddy after such an event.

He'll for sure boast to the other's about being able to help you out.

It's a moment he will keep smiling about and something that without a doubt will cause him to feel that much happier whenever he sees you again.

Hanma:

Not unlike Baji, you'd be the last person he would expect to attack him in any situation.

He's probably lowered his guard around you quite significantly since you're not someone who fights often and you're definitely not on bad terms with him.

That's why he'll be extremely surprised when you suddenly plummet him into the ground.

He'll just stare at you with widened eyes – his brain not even registering what the hell just happened.

If you don't explain your actions within the span of a few seconds, he may start to become a little bit pissed off but as soon as you apologise and explain what you were up to, he'll visibly relax once more (although a bit reluctantly).

He'll try his best to maintain a mildly annoyed expression but as soon as he sees your sheepish visage he'll end up breaking into quiet chuckles.

He finds it amusing that you felt worried or even guilty after what you did since it wasn't anything significant that could've injured him.

The contrast between both of your fighting personalities is something that ends up making him smile.

That's the moment when he'll realise just how innocent you are compared to his "punishment/sin" persona.

Hanma would pet your head to reassure you that everything was okay, swatting away any annoyance he felt and would forgive you in that instance.

He secretly admires this side of you and won't hesitate to protect you in a fight if he ever needs to. After all, you're just too pure to go down at such a violent scene. You're someone that should never be punished in his eyes.

Hunter x Hunter Headcanon

Prompt: How they react to their crush waking them up in the morning. (Featuring Gon, Killua, Kurapika, Hisoka and Illumi). Including some sleep headcanons :)

Gon:

I believe Gon's a messy sleeper. If you think you're bad for tossing and turning in your sleep, you should take one look at him in the morning and it will all seem somehow small-scale compared to that.

No joke, his bed is like a crime scene every morning.

So after taking the time to carefully get around all the objects scattered on the floor you finally get to your intended target.

Two of the following images will greet your eye. One; he'll be passed out peacefully, looking like a mellow angel under the morning sun. Or two; he'll be snoring loudly with drool streaming down from his slightly open mouth as his limbs lay haphazardly at weird angles. (Option two is far more likely in the case that he was tired the previous night).

When you try to wake him up it will take a bit of further effort.

While Gon has extremely good senses, for some reason he's stubborn when it comes to parting with good sleep. It's most likely due to the fact that his natural instincts deem you as 'non-threatening', so unless you try to actually hurt him (but why the hell would you?), he won't budge an inch from his peaceful slumber.

However, admittedly Gon does have one weakness – and that is the fact that you know his tickle spots. As soon as you start your assault the poor boy can't help but crack a grin.

He'll squirm a little and swat your hands away. His signature laugh (although quieter since he just awoke) will ring throughout the room as you attempt to inform him as to why you decided to rouse him.

Since he's admired you, and, well... liked you for a while, he'll probably look at you with soft hazel eyes when he turns your way. He won't make too much of a fuss over the knowledge that you woke him up, but internally he'll be far happier than if he woke up by himself.

Contrary to his act of ignoring you moments ago, he'll listen aptly to everything you have to say. He'll definitely thank you for whatever it was you told him and if it wasn't for the fact that he had to change from his sleepwear, he would have asked you to stay with him a while longer.

"Just wait for me outside, y/n! I'll be out in a sec!"

True to his word, he literally took a few seconds changing. He was out the door before you could even comprehend it, grabbing your hand in his and smiling that huge smile which you adored.

Killua:

He's similar to Gon in the sense that he tends to twist and turn in his sleep, but compared to the spikey-head his is far more controlled.

Having exceptional senses as well as trained assassin instincts, he'll probably be able to tell when you're approaching his room even in the midst of deep slumber.

He gets embarrassed rather easily, especially when it comes to someone as intimate as his crush so he'd most likely prepare himself in advance if he thinks you're about to come in.

Is totally the type to throw his discarded covers over himself and pretend to be asleep at lightning speed right as you're about to come in. If he's feeling extra flustered he might even run a few fingers through his hair to give himself a better look while he's supposedly 'resting'. Otherwise it would be embarrassing to have you see him like that

Under normal circumstances, if you come too close to him he'll have a hard time keeping a composed front, so if you suddenly lean over his form while he's lying down, he'll find it difficult to suppress a blush from rising to his cheeks.

You can then probably imagine how shocked he feels internally when he senses you place a hand on his arm or make any sort of contact. Despite himself, he'll immediately turn over and stare at you with wide eyes, all while trying to hide how he really feels.

"What is it, y/n? You know I'm sleeping now, right?"

The way he sounds a little panicked when he says that causes you to laugh under your breath. His reactions are always priceless whenever you try something even a slight bit intimate.

When you explain why you'd come in the first place, Killua is finally given the chance to regain his calm demeanor.

He'll most likely tell you to wait for him in the living room/kitchen etc, while he gets ready.

It doesn't actually take him long to change but he ends up spending a considerate amount of time attempting to compose himself fully after that encounter. Only after he's 100% calm again does he start leaving his room.

Later when he reflects on it, he realises just how lucky he is to have you in his life and a small smile adorns his face as he recalls the fondness you showed towards him that morning.

Thinks he doesn't deserve your attention as much as you give it to him, which only further stirs up the feelings he already harbours for you.

Kurapika:

Knowing all the trauma he's been through, I think it's safe to say that he may have an exceedingly difficult time falling asleep in the first place.

Hence, if you decided to wake him up for whatever reason, it would have to be a pretty good one. In fact, you'll probably refrain from it in the end – considering just how little rest he receives overall.

He's a fairly light sleeper, not quite as hyper-aware as some of the others but sensitive to disturbances nonetheless.

However, keeping quiet is usually the least of your problems.

Your greatest challenge lies in the sheer amount of nightmares he seems to get from PTSD – either experiencing flashbacks of the murder of his clan or later encounters with the spiders.

It's not uncommon for you to walk in on him twisting and turning with visible sweat gathering on his face. It's really hard for you to watch the ordeal so you tend to rush straight to him in order to shake him awake.

When he finally snaps into the real world it'll take him a while to calm himself down. Your reassurance, however, helps hugely to placate his emotions.

Although he's a bit self-aware (if not embarrassed) of being seen in such a vulnerable state by you, he still feels warm knowing that you're right by his side. Waking up to either your smiling or worrying expression always makes his heart swell, no matter the situation.

He often takes the time to simply admire you as you talk to him. His usually sharp eyes soften by a lot when it's just you together, and he has no intentions of hurrying to get up from bed when you opt on sitting next to him.

Is the type to initiate heartwarming moments. If you sit beside him after waking him up, expect him to place his head on your shoulder. He'll close his eyes, pretending to still be tired, but in reality he just wants you to stroke his hair – just like his mother used to do when she was still alive.

When Kurapika likes you, he'll most likely start seeing you as family. Sure, he'll get flustered occasionally but he mostly treats you as he would someone really close to him.

After waking him up, he generally prefers not to rush into things. He'll ask you to stay with him for a while before getting ready.

He truly savours the moments when you're alone in his room since you rarely tend to get such opportunities.

Hisoka:

For starters... whose smart-ass idea was it to even go near his room, let alone him?

However, if you somehow found the guts to do it I'm sure the king of jesters would only find it amusing for you to do so.

He may feel a little intruded-on if you straight up barge into his private space uninvited, but since he likes you in a romantic sense, he definitely won't be the type to hurt or kill you for it (that's completely out of the question). What he will do though, is attempt to playfully threaten you (pretty much tease you) just to gouge that irresistible expression of denial he loves to witness on your features.

Is the type to pretend to be asleep just so he could swiftly turn the tables and cage you underneath him. Any dirty trick in the book – this man has you covered.

Will more than likely try to make you feel intimidated by him just so he could watch you squirm and become embarrassed.

You probably thought he was asleep? Hell no. This man's regime is so messed up that it's honestly impossible to ever find him genuinely sleeping, even when it seems like he hasn't rested in days.

Paradoxically, if he did happen to be asleep at some point before you came in, he always manages to wake up before you decide to wake him. Most likely you'll find him laying on the bed – posing or doing some other flashy gimmick – as you peek into his room to check on him.

Although he doesn't show it, he secretly finds it endearing that you take time out of your life to be concerned with how he's doing. Not many people are as relaxed around him as you are, and even though that could've ultimately led to your death, luckily Hisoka has caught feelings for you which more-or-less ensures your safety every time.

He finds it refreshing when you show that you truly care for him as an individual. Coming in to wake him up is just one of the actions that prove this to him despite its natural simplicity.

It is my firm belief, however, that Hisoka is the type to sleep completely bare whenever he has a comfortable bed, so a word of warning, be prepared to accidently see him naked at least once if you make it a habit to do this often.

This man has absolutely no shame. He'll tease the crap out of you later for it, despite him probably intending for that to occur on purpose.

"Oh? How come you fled so quickly, y/n? Was it the sight of my chiseled abs that sent you for the hills or perhaps my generous–"

You will have to shut him up one way or another if you're in public, because dear lord he has a thing for trying to humiliate you.

Illumi:

Not gonna lie, if you're at the stage where Illumi trusts to sleep near your presence he probably won't even bat an eye to the act of you waking him up.

He'll think it normal for you to do so, so even if you somehow overcome his incredible senses and manage to sneak up on his sleeping form, he'll take it lightly – the thought of you holding ill intent being the last thing on his mind.

He would have to trust you a significant amount to allow you anywhere near his resting state. It's an act of endearment on his behalf that would signal the fact that you're closer to him than most other people.

However, not unlike Hisoka it would be exceedingly difficult to find him properly sleeping.

About 9 out of 10 times he'll be awake by the time you attempt to rouse him. He tends to sleep in an upright sitting position, so he'll just be perched there, staring off into space with those blank eyes of his.

On the very rare occasion that you manage to catch him asleep he'll be extremely easy to wake up. As soon as you raise your arm to make contact with him (or begin speaking) his eyes will instantly open and stare at you with faint curiosity.

"What is it? Is something the matter, y/n?"

You would have to shake the image of him during his slumber rather quickly to form a response. After all, imagine how pure and innocent he looks while fast asleep? The reason he usually sets off a deadly aura is because of his apathetic expression, ingrained abilities and nen – but when he's sleeping most of that effect becomes null, and all that's left is a peaceful pale visage surrounded by silky black hair.

He probably looks like a character from a children's story book

I doubt he changes out of his clothes much before he sleeps, so he'll be able to stand and go wherever it was you needed right off the bat.

Since you're someone he appreciates dearly, he accommodates to your needs quite well. No matter when or what you woke him for he'll never be mad at you for it.

He's honestly just glad that you can rely on him and trust him to be around you. After all, he places quite a lot of dedication to be more considerate towards you ever since he decided that you were the one he wanted.
