gays are so tragic.

any gay ship, any queer ship in any form of video game, anime, tv show, or movie where they're censored or made by homophobic ppl is so tragic.

the way they yearn to be together, which is shown by actors/voice actors/animators/writers. and, of course, we all grasp at the tiniest crumble, and the fanbases are the ones that recognize them and keep them alive- that is where the couple escapes the constraints, restrictions, and homophobia.

ex. in gi they said they will explore more same-sex couples by labeling them in game as 'best friends'. (kavetham, cynari, etc.)

so, of course, we, fanfic writers, write them as tragic, or even cursed yaoi, and yearning and all the heart-wrenching pieces because there's pain in their existence. they are our escape and something we relate to but we also offer them an escape, making them alive with our funny words and silly au's.

also some honorable mentions of good depictions of queer couples; good omens, shadowhunters (malec), our flag means death, the originals (freelin). (feel free to add more)

also, only pure hatred and disgust at the queerbaiting seen in media (I'm looking at you supernatural). furthermore, gender identities in media are a whole different issue and topic; where is the recognition overall, especially in video games, for enby's and similar?

honorable mention to bg3 for having great body options (trans friendly) and more gender options than the usual f/m.

there's also tragedy in queer characters, who fandoms depict and destroy by ignoring their sexuality, ex. yelena from marvel's black widow who is confirmed asexual. (which pains me as an aroace individual)

thus we write them as tragic and pained because, just like us, they also have to be hidden or censored, many queer ppl cannot come out due to so many varying reasons. sadly, we aren't safe everywhere and have to be careful. media is a nice escape, so I guess we can relate to our sad gays who are so much more like us than we thought at first hand.

dear writers, artists, and creators keep creating art and keep giving them life. we give them air to breathe and the hope that they give us. that is how this relationship with our favorite fictional characters transcends all bounds, we keep each other alive and comfort each other.

this rant was inspired by my mutual (@aurae-rori ) commenting on how homosexual my love confessing fic is (here if you're interested).

I found it so absolutely crazy that the Mikaelsons (especially Klaus and Elijah) were constantly throwing Marcel’s background back in his face and just the fact that they lived in/on the same plantation that he was a slave on was absolutely wild. Marcel was so blatantly “othered” by the Mikaelsons, even though they said he was family, they always reminded him that he wasn’t ever one of them/a mikaelson and Klaus would always remind him that he was a slave before. Someone made the analogy that it’s like when a racist white family adopts a black child and make it clear that he’s not one of them and that’s quite LITERALLY what happened.

I would go as far as to say that Marbekah is not just weird because Rebekah knew him as a child, but also because of that strange power dynamic of her being a rich white woman and him being a black slave boy and that subtext there and it just doesn’t feel right (and this is a feeling I don’t get from normal interracial relationships, just THOSE TWO). And if you like Marbekah, that’s great! I just don’t lol.

And the fandom always says that “it’s just Klaus’ personality that he does and says these things to Marcel, etc” like… ugh.

And there’s other poc in TO that deal with the racism like Vincent and Inadu, etc

I love the Mikaelsons but they were so problematic to the point that I have to retcon certain things or at least insert headcanons to make me not hate them. Because you are absolutely right. It was literally a racist family playing white savior. People try to give Klaus props for killing an enslaver and freeing Marcel, but we see him kill one enslaver and free one person who was enslaved. He didn't do it because he was morally opposed to slavery. He did it for his own selfish reasons. Otherwise we would have seen more of this. People using the excuse that "oh it's just x's character to make racists comments" is very telling. It means the character is racist. They are literally saying it is part of that character. The Mikaelsons thinking it was fine to live on an actual plantation both when it was functioning and after is proof of this.

I personally do like Marbekah but they are not necessarily in my top favorite ships. I love both of the characters but I also hate how they began (same with Freelin, but I'll go into that in a moment). But again, you're absolutely right. There is not only the inappropriate dynamic that she helped raise him, to some extent, but yes, that he grew up being treated as a second class citizen, not only when he was enslaved but also when he was taken in by the Mikaelsons. There is also the bad dynamic of how possessive Klaus is over Rebekah and her romantic life. People love to say Klaus daggered Rebekah when he found out about Rebekah and Marcel because he was protecting Marcel, but let's be honest, he wouldn't have cared if it was anyone else but Rebekah. Klaus didn't have any issues going after teenagers, why would he care that Marcel was being groomed by an older woman? Klaus always treated Marcel as more of a friend than a son and we all know Klaus is not a good friend. I, once again, have to insert my own headcanon that Rebekah was not heavily invovled in Marcel's upbringing. I pretend Klaus was just as possessive of Marcel with Rebekah as he was with Elijah. We only see the one scene of Rebekah training him so I just pretend that was a one time thing and they hardly interacted outside of that. This not at all what the writers intended. They loved creepy, grooming relationships so it is completely understandable to not like them.

Marcel was treated as more of a possession than anything. I'm biased so I like to believe Elijah saw Marcel as a child at first and wanted to mentor him before Klaus got in the way. You mention Elijah throwing Marcel's history in his face, do you have an example? I am genuinely asking. I've seen people make this comment before and make comments of Elijah calling him "boy" but I for the life of me can't remember when he does, because yes, that is obviously racist. I am trying to think past my Elijah blinders, but welcome any help. Elijah is definitely condescending to him and it would be foolish of me to assume part of it isn't racism. Again, I insert my own headcanon that it is more to do with his elitism and how he speaks to everyone (i.e. the scene where he calls Klaus and Hayley "chiiillldddreeen" for bickering). But I also acknowledge that my headcanons are my own and we still need to call out the characters for their problematic behavior. The fact that Elijah doesn't lift a finger to help a single person who is being enslaved or to even condemn the slavery when he very much had the power and privilege to do something about it shows his racism, if not overt racism than at the very least covert.

I personally headcanon that Celeste set Elijah straight while they were together and got him more invovled in the abolitionist movements, because I refuse to believe Celeste was fine being with a man who was fine with slavery. I also love Elijah and refuse to love a racist so I have to insert my own head canons to fix the racist writing. I would also be remiss to point out how problematic it is that Elijah is constantly given partners who are women of color but the show only emphasizes his white counterparts. There is more love for Eelijah, a crack ship, in the fandom than Celijah, one of the two people Elijah loved by his own admission. I love haylijah, but how the women of color he dated were treated by his family, the writers, and his family, even by him, speaks volumes to their racism.

But back to Marcel. It would have made sense for Rebekah to be a mother figure to him since she is always talking about wanting kids, but the show makes it clear that there is a distinction between biological children and adopted. Here the Mikaelsons have a chance to be parents and they all squander it. It's hard to not talk about Marcel's race in that discussion. Rebekah loves her time taking care of Hope, who, while her blood, is still not her biological daughter. Why wouldn't she jump at the chance to raise a frightened boy who lost his mother at such a young age? Why wasn't he given a mother figure? Hope has like five. Marcel isn't even given a father figure. Again, Hope has like five. Because Marcel was never viewed as a child. This is a common trope where black characters, especially boys, are not seen as kids. Rather they are forced to be more mature and treated as adults, while their white counter parts are allowed immaturity. Marcel was never allowed to be a kid because the Mikaelsons didn't want a kid. They all had their own selfish desires for Marcel and they were all terrible.

I do think the Mikaelsons are also just a toxic, dysfunctional family. Literally none of them treat the others well. I love certain relationships over others, but it would be lying to say they weren't all toxic to each other. So it's no wonder all of their relationships with Marcel were toxic. Klaus undaggers Kol and instead of being angry at Klaus for keeping him in a box, he turns his anger and frustration on a literal child. You would think this resentment would fade when Kol starts dating his nephew's daughter (sorry, couldn't help myself), but it doesn't. Marcel and Kol still harbor so much animosity for each other and Kol's is merely based on Marcel being more included in the family, which is sad considering how little Marcel is included in the family. But even that extent was too much for Kol.

The writers had a fresh slate with The Originals. There was no book to attempt to follow or even to dictate character relationships. They could have done anything with Marcel, but they chose to make a black slave from the 1800s that Klaus "saved" in order to play into the idea that Klaus was a good guy underneath it all. So instead of focusing on Marcel's trauma, the story is told through the Mikaelson's perspective, the white perspective. It reminds me of so many movies, The Blind Side comes to mind. Media loves to focus on the white saviors and praise them without mentioning the trauma they actually caused while playing savior. In these stories, the white families aren't adopting a "child" they are "investing" in what that child can do for them.

I mentioned Freelin earlier and I don't think it is a coincidence that the only two instances where a white Mikaelson's endgame invovled a person of color there is a massive power imbalance. I want to love Freelin so much because I like both the characters but I struggle to get past how they met and how quickly it changed. Freya never even felt guilty or apologized for literally kidnapping and torturing her. The show loves to match up characters, especially women and especially woman of color, with their abusers with no repercussions to the abuse.

I could write forever about the blatant racism in this show.

I'm so happy to see someone actually call out the obvious grooming in Marcel and Rebekah's relationship. Seriously, the worst part is people use that ship to uplift a white woman (the groomer) in a very, uh wack and racist way.

but the writers didnt care about the poc characters enough to give them decent love stories. Marcel and Cami were cute but even then it was just a plot device for klaus to be jealous and then they just fizzled out in s2 (theres a whole episode worth of Marcille deleted scenes)

Vincent's love interests were all killed or just written off, where tf did that momma from s4 go...no one knows. Yusuf Gatewood even said he thought vincent was in love with Cami but the writers refused to explore it...and then he just became the freelin surrogate

DONT EVEN GET ME STARTED ON FREELIN.....if that ship has one hater....its me

notice how the 3 main POC characters were only allowed happy endings as long as it was connected to the mikaelsons

anyways i went off topic lmfao but yeah Marcel deserved better than what he got. Bex couldve easily been given another love interest or not one at all, considering Cl*ire was barely in the show

AHAH… okay there’s ONE (1) person who like Knows and actually seen a snippet of fic too lmaoooo. it’s not embarrassing when I tell her because she knows all my embarrassing tastes in manga so like. what’s there to be cringe abt. all of my other friends do generally know. I feel like I did mention to them once lmao and they do know I write stuff. I’ve shown them some og stuff but FANFIC IS JUST DIFFERENT !!! especially to the knows that have watched anime. I couldn’t. I feel like I did mention it long ago to fam, but lmao, memory is foggy.

I don’t mind if people ir know I Write it, but definitely dont want to Announce it. if it comes up causally in convo, yeah, ok. but also like Thinking abt them Knowing Knowing kills me. but otherwise I’d shrivel up and die. but crazy thing that happened. so like was doing a short project with some people and I had fic I Need to write so had my iPad out and was WRITING…. like I did have the doc scrolled down so you couldn’t see what was written before fjfkkff but still crazy. so like yeah, I don’t care as much as I thought if general people know but I Don’t talk fanfiction of fanfic I write to people. god, I’d just shrivel up and die.

okay, I literally cant say what’s the “best” because theyre ALL best to me. I mean like they are deff ones that touched me more than others but like literally just thinking of this Q had me big smiling…..I Love interaction, I Love engagement & feedbacks on fics and theyre all so v lovely. I love it when we’re able to go back and forth and stuff…..and jeez there’s that comment that really touched me and still is in the back of my mind. so like long short cut short: there was a lot I was proud in that fic and kinda wished someone talked abt those points and THEY DID…. V EXTENSIVELY TOO when I didn’t at all expected it…. and like, hhhhh this is reminding me now I lot of interactions/feedback and stuff I had that is v Fond in my heart. theyre all so <3333 can’t be grateful enough.

oh, this is such a cute & lovely question….adore it….but really big one too, ahahah. “greatest gift” mmmmh. hard to answer, tbh. I’d say joy !!! because that’s what I got a lot from my writing. I love to write. I love putting those ideas to life. I love rereading them. I love rambling/gushing abt them. it’s only one of my greatest joy in my life. I find it v fun and greatful to have writing in my life. like, lmao, it deff has its down’s but y’know…what doesn’t? and has deff give me much more joy than down’s so <3333333

Wonder... about your thoughts on Kleya? Klaus & Freya.

I love Kleya, especially in late s2 and early s3. After that, their relation became stagnant, and most of their interactions became plot related, so that’s a shame.

But they had a lot of great moments, which I have partly listed in this post about Freya, but I am happy to talk about them again.

Klaus was highly suspicious of Freya in s2, which was fair. In a way, Freya was a lot like Klaus before Hope entered the picture. Lost, afraid, trusting only him/herself. While Freya did want to join the family, her main goal was freeing herself of Dahlia, and she was willing to go very far to reach that goal. Klaus of course, recognizes this. He says as much to Elijah and Rebekah: 'simple, that's what I would do.'

But it also works the other way round. When Freya went into Klaus' mind, she saw his insecurities, and she immediately tapped on to them. That speech in the bar? "The voice that whispers, 'Why am I all alone?'" It works for both of them, and it hurts.

Interestingly, they were shaped very differently in response to being betrayed by their parents. Freya has painted an ideal picture of her other siblings in her mind, especially Finn and Elijah, and she holds on desperately to that image. Klaus, on the other hand, will always doubt the love his siblings have for him. He doesn't see his family as a strength, but also as a weakness.

While they were similar, they also didn’t truly consider the pain of the other, because they were to blinded by what happened to themselves. They both saw each other’s pain as an excuse. But in the moment when Klaus is daggered, and Freya tries to kill him with the white oak stake but he stops her just in time, seeing her crying? That’s when they both truly understood each other.

Klaus even added her into his 'grand plan' of having his Sisters look after his child (which thankfully was shut down by Rebekah really quickly. Your Sisters are not instant nursemaids Klaus.)

I also love their interactions in early s3. The scene with Bradd/Brody? Gold. Their plan to distract Lucien and her pink outfit? So great.

But also that little moment with the post-its shows their growth, and it was really sweet.

And then of course Freya is captured by Aurora, and Klaus goes in search for her, and later reassure her that she is part of the family, while family is part of the prophecy. They could have reused the Klaus thinks his family will kill him because of the prophecy storyline but they didn’t and I am very grateful for that.

But sadly after mid s3 their interactions are more plot related. And they didn't have a lot of scenes in s4, and I don't remember s5 enough to talk about their relationship, but Klaus walking her down the isle with Elijah was very fitting.

All of this said, they don't inspire me as much as the other relationships on the show. Like I mentioned, their relationship was pretty solid from mid-s3 onwards, and it didn't change that much afterwards. And while I love Freya, she is also the most one-dimensional of the Original siblings. Her character only started to evolve when she met Keelin, which was also the time where she didn't have many scenes with Klaus. Not to sound like a broken record, but s4 and s5? Yeah...

Now I really wish Keelin was introduced in s3. Then the tension between Freya falling in love with this wonderful werewolf woman and her desperately trying to stop the prophecy would hold far more weight than the stuff we got in s4.

Also, I found it strange that Freya spend so much time with Hope in s5, even more so than Hayley and Klaus, and Klaus never seemed to mind that much if I remember correctly, except that he of course wanted to be with Hope himself. At some point, Freya seemed more of a parent to Hope than her ACTUAL parents. And then Legacy comes around and Freya is nowhere to be seen, because they wanted to push the Sad Orphan Hope TM backstory, even though Kol, Marcel, Freya, Rebekah and Keelin are sitting just outside of frame with popcorn going, Wait Centaurs Exist? What The Hell?

So tl;dr: I love Kleya, when they actually have meaningful interactions like in s2-early s3, but they get overshadowed by the other relationships, like Freelin, Klarcel, Klebekah, Freylijah, Freya x Finn. So basically, my only complaint is that I wanted more of them, lol.

Free Lining Shrimp to Catch Snook

It’s a safe bet you clicked this article because you’re obsessed with catching more of one kind of fish in particular. The ever-so-elusive snook. That means you’ll want to know all about the techniques that will work best to catch them. Keep reading and learn what our best way to catch snook with shrimp.

Set Yourself Free with a Free Lining Rig

Using a freeline rig is one of the simplest setups in all of fishing. At its core, a freeline rig set up is just like it sounds: a piece of fishing line tied to a hook. As befitting a strategy so simple, you can use this strategy for almost any kind of fish in any kind of circumstances, especially, while fishing for snook. There are some complicating factors that generally qualify as free lining and you may want to consider: adding a leader and some swivels between the mainline and the hook is a common technique used in freelining.

The Basics of Free Lining Shrimp to Catch Snook

But consider the wisdom in Keeping It Simple… Snook-fisherperson. The fewer elements, the less things can go wrong and the more time you’ll spend with your line in the water. Since shrimp are snook-food for all seasons, you really have a lot of flexibility when you’re Free Lining Rig to catch snook. Before we dive deeper into all the information about shrimp that will help you better understand why free lining shrimp to catch snook is a good choice, we’ll look at a few of the common locations to fish. Big snook often like their hiding places. They will actually stick to their favorite spot year long if they are not reproducing, so free lining shrimp makes a lot of sense in those non-seasonal snook spots. Snook Love Shrimp

Interestingly, snook is one of the most-studied game fish. The folks at Florida’s Fish and Wildlife Research Institution have been doing research and found some very interesting facts pertinent to our subject of freelining shrimp to catch snook. After evaluating about 700 fish, the scientist have some good news. They discovered about half of the fish still had some food in their bellies. In other words, about ½ of all the snook out there are hungry and ready to hit some bait! So what was in those fish bellies? The scientists broke down the contents of the snooks’ stomach as follows: out of the 37 species observed as snook dinner, 70% of their diet is fish. Of that 70%, pinfish (20%), anchovy (16%), and our favorite, pink shrimp (13%) added up to about 50% of snook-chow. In contrast to the pinfish which were targeted based on their size relative to the size of the snook itself, snook were far less discriminating with regard to shrimp. The data says that snook enjoy eating shrimp all year round, in contrast to other more seasonal choices, and that consumption peaks in the winter. Pink shrimp also generally maintain about the same size all year, and the increased consumption seems to be when there are more shrimp around. That information leads this author to believe that shrimp are the snooks preference, and that hungry snook will always be intrigued by a shrimp that makes it into their vicinity.

Catching Shrimp to Catch Snook

You can go ahead and buy your bait from the local shop, and that’s just fine. If the bait shrimp they’ve got are fat and healthy, you don’t need to splurge on the excess-sized shrimp. However, if those shrimp are looking well… shrimpy, then you might just want to mix up your purchases with some of the selects as well. If you don’t want to depend on the vagaries of your local bait shop, you could always go one level deeper. Some folks will boss up and catch their own shrimp for free lining shrimp to catch snook themselves. Go ahead and bait yourself a shrimp trap, leave it in the water for a day, and come back to see what you’ve found. Don’t forget the buoy and proper weighting so that your trap functions as intended. Amusingly, catfood seems to be a popular shrimp bait—so that might be a more reasonable alternative if you really hate to see income go to bait.

Proper Rigging for Freelining Shrimp to Catch Snook

A standard setup often looks like a good-sized live shrimp, a #6 straight hook in the tail, with 30lb test. This would work with no swivel and since this setup doesn’t have a lot of give to it, you might consider easing off the drag a bit, so the hookup doesn’t end up too severe and you end up losing the fish at the strike. Of course, a lot of folks will add a small swivel, a couple small split weights, with a 12-20” leader too. That might make for a more durable setup, but freelining is really about simplicity—it might just be that as few accoutrements between the snook, shrimp, and you will make an attractive presentation to these picky fish. What’s important when freelining is to allow yourself the most leeway to present a convincing shrimp. Whether that means using live baits and carefully hooking up a live shrimp

Hooking Up the Shrimp

There are some little details to pay attention to when you are setting up a freelining rig to catch snook. Not over-hooking your bait seems to be worth keeping on your mind. You don’t want the hook to weigh down the shrimp; living shrimp float and swim, and don’t fall right to the bottom. On that same subject it’s important to hook the shrimp the right way for you. Because shrimp shoot backwards when they’re in distress, you can easily replicate this with your set up. Just follow a popular option for dead shrimp and hook it on the back end/tail, and you can manually simulate the shrimp fleeing by pulling back on the line yourself. Living shrimp present a different challenge. There’s a way to hook shrimp without killing them, and there are good directions and more importantly, handy diagrams here.

What to Do if You Caught A Tagged Snook

If you end up catching a tagged snook, the good folks at the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission Fish and Wildlife Research Institute (try saying that 5 times fast) are offering up T-shirts as a reward. Winter Fishing in Southern Californa

December - San Diego, California

As I look out my window it is raining. Thanksgiving is past and Christmas is on the way. The tuna fishing season is definitely over. And I say that with a laugh because my customers are still asking how far they would have to go to catch them. I tell them, “far” and “south”. To have a decent chance at Tuna right now, you would need to schedule a 2 or 3 day trip on one of our faster six-pack boats like the Easter B and head due south at best speed. Even that will soon be over.

However, there is a bright side… Rockfish season is in full swing, and there are still Yellowtail, White Seabass, not to mention Calico Bass, Sand Bass, and Halibut. The awesome thing is, you don’t have to go far or spend a lot of money to enjoy the local fishing just outside of Point Loma, Imperial Beach, and La Jolla. Our ½ day the and ¾ day trips will absolutely put you on the fish, many times with each Angler catching limits or a really big fish.

In my opinion, this is the best time of year to get the kids on the water or to enjoy some low key fishing for yourself. Fishing isn’t just about hooking a 150lb bluefin, its also about throwing bass jigs on the kelp beds, in the exact right spot to catch the 8lb Calico. Light line fishing offers all the thrills, but remember to bring a lighter line (10-20lb test is fine) and leave your 50 wide at home, you won’t need it. If you are from out of town, just rent from us and we will hand you the perfect setup for rod rentals.

Let’s take a minute to talk about my favorite wintertime fishing species:

Rockfish Fishing - Easy to catch, Almost a sure thing, The Best Taco Around!

Many of our winter trips will focus almost solely on rockfish, but even if we do you will still have a chance at bass, lingcod, and other species at the same spot. Usually, we will find the good rockfishing spots on areas of rock from 100 feet down or deeper. Usually, a two-hook setup is used, double the fun, double the catch. Just before and just after we drift over the rock patches, there is a sand bottom, and big Halibut tend to hunt here. Lingcod also share this spot too!

Halibut Fishing - Somewhat difficult to hook one, but tend to be one of the larger winter fish.

What makes these fish difficult to catch is not that they are rare, it is that they are subtle and skittish on the bite. They can clean your hook in the blink of an eye without you knowing, unless you are paying attention. You only have a moment of opportunity to set the hook before these flatfish make off with your bait. However, if you do land one, you have dinner for four. My advice, keep your rod in your hand, and your line tight, wait patiently, and be ready for the bite.

Lingcod - Hardest fighting and ugliest fish award go to this mean-looking bottom dweller. When this fish picks up your bait, you will instantly know it. Putting up a good fight is what they do, especially on the lighter tackle that we use during the winter and spring season. The meat of this fish can sometimes have a blue tint, but I can assure you that it is quite tasty.

Calico, Bay, Striped, and Sand Bass - If you get tired of fishing on the bottom, Bass Fishing is the answer. Grab a 10lb test rig and a shiny metal lure or plastic, and start casting. Fishing on the surface down to about 30 feet along the kelp forest is our go-to strategy. Be sure to try several different lures until you find the one they like that day. The secret here is to maximize your time by staying on the job of casting your bait out as many times as possible in the time allowed. Be sure to try several lures, and if no bite happens, try fly lining some live bait with the smallest BB lead you can find.

Whitefish - Whitefish are bottom fish that love squid. If you want to catch a whitefish, just put some squid on the bottom hook of a two hook rig and drop it down right in the same area as rockfish, rocky bottom structure deeper than 100 feet. These fish generally only weight a few pounds, but what they lack in size, they make up for in quantity. Also, this is a great tasting, and very easy to prepare fish that can provide a succulent dinner.

Yellowtail - In the wintertime, a large majority of Yellowtail head south for the winter, but some stay. Generally, we catch them in all but the coldest months, along the kelp beds around La Jolla, and at the Coronado Islands in Mexico. Usually, you will catch them using a freeline sardine or anchovy and also occasionally on a crankbait. If you do hook into yellowtail on lighter tackle, be prepared to fight hard, as you will be hard-pressed to land this fish without using the drag to your full advantage.

White Seabass - One of the most challenging and rewarding fishing trips we offer. To catch White Seabass, first, you have to find them. There are only a few spots that I know of that can be said to hold a decent year-round population. Now keep in mind, everybody has there favorite spots, and its a matter of opinion, but I generally recommend Catalina Island. This island provides the most consistent bite other than Mexican waters. Farnsworth Bank and the backside of the island near Twin Harbors is my suggestion. Check out our multi-day trips to chase these beautiful fish.

every freelin scene makes me want to fully invest in them so much but i just wish that didn’t involve watching all the rest of the originals to get all of freya’s backstory because watching that show, especially from the very beginning, makes me feel like i’m literally being forced to eat chalk dust

Hi,whats your opinion on Hayley and Camille as a couple? Yes it sounds a little bit weird but I think that they were a good pair and had chemistry

So I'm one of those weird people that don't often ship non-canon ships. Maybe I'm just not imaginative enough. I also just love a good platonic love. I think friendships are so undervalued in this fandom. People in this fandom are so passionate about their crack ships that I've been told all kinds of awful things because I've made posts/comments that I don't like their head canon ships. Again, I'll never tell anyone who to ship, but I give my opinions when asked.

That being said, I can get behind Haymille.

I am always more inclined to add in wlw ships, especially in a show that gives us virtually none. The only one we have is Freelin, which I have to constantly force myself to forget their entire meeting. A lot of the wlw ships in this fandom upset me because they are usually shipping abusers.

Haymille on the other hand is just so pure. They are both very loving and caring characters who would balance each other out well. It actually would make so much sense because of how klamille and haylijah balance each other out. I could completely see Cami and Hayley running off together to get Hope to safety and falling in love. They already loved each other platonically. There is definitely chemistry there and I have never viewed either of them being straight.

I do love haylijah and klamille, but if I couldn't have them I would definitely want haymille. They would have a nice domestic life. Hayley leading her pack while Cami starts her own practice in town. Hope would have such a happy life with them. It would be way less chaotic than their lives with the Mikaelsons. They would be better off.

Hayley’s death foreshadowed?

I was wondering something. Well, I’ve been wondering things always but... XD Anyway, I wrote, a few hours ago, that after the revelation of the leaked spoilers of TO5 everything is silenced. This is making me think of Hayley’s fate in the final season and so, I have some things to say.

First of all, I can’t understand what the point of season 5 is. I guess that there will be a final resolution among the Mikaelson siblings, especially considering the way things are now for them. We know that after the time skip, they are all far from each other and it is impossible for them to get in contact without any consequence, neither they can be near Hope because the Hollow’s power could awaken and could crave for her. And what about the rest?

At the moment, the only one who got his happy ending is Kol, who (and seriously, I LOVE Kolvina, I am truly happy that they finally could be together, but technically Kol murdered Davina in the most feral and dramatical way... and Elijah was the unforgivable beast) is presumably still married to his beloved (also, considering that Davina is human, she is 28/29 at the moment, right?). It seems that Rebekah and Marcel broke up since he loves NoLa more than her (well... I like them together, but I don’t know if I find wasted potential that they’ve struggled for centuries to stay together and when Klaus finally gave them his ok, they lasted only for few years...).

I bet that Freelin will be the wonderful mothers of a child (like Calzona or SwanQueen) at the end of the series overcoming everything... considering that Freya lost her first child because of Dahlia, this could be a really nice thing for her. ;_;<3

Then... Klaus. Even if I LOVED beyond all reasons his relationship with Hope in season 4, I noticed that he mostly interacted with her only. It seemed to me that his storyline had been “reduced” to Klope only and we know that Klaus is his best when he can link his hybrid side (manipulating, killing, being vicious, angry, dark, ruthless) with his human side (careful mostly). I don’t know how Plec will destroy Klaroline like she did before and like it was done with Klamille (I heard that it will remain platonic since Caroline still mourns Stefan), but I am ok with an open finale, like both standing together as a promise of something which might come in a distant future, perhaps (however long it takes). If there is one thing that both TVD and TO have shown is that family comes first (both Elena and Damon, at the moment of their deaths, after a long life together, could hug their birth families again. Both Liz and Jo watched over their daughters. Esther, after all, sacrificed her life to save her children, in the end). That is why I believe that for both Caroline and Hayley, their children will be always the first thing.

And here there is my point about Hayley. The spoilers say that she will die, burnt, and this will lead Hope to go crazy and become a threat for NoLa. Honestly, in the beginning, I was terribly upset and angry, but I recalled that Hayley’s fate was “doomed” since season 1 and 2, after all. The witches didn’t want Hope to be born and tried to kill her when she was in her mother’s womb because she was meant to be the witches’ end. Was this a foreshadow? Later it was said that it was only Celeste’s revenge on the Original Family, but judging from the spoilers, it seems that Hope might be or destruction or salvation for NoLa. What if she destroys the balance of power killing all NoLa witches and the Ancestors in the process? I guess that she will be able to manage the powers of the Hollow at some point, and this, apart from her lineage powers, will make her the strongest witch ever. But if she triggers her hybrid side, will she become something like a Heretic? I guess not because after all, Freya (when she was determined to become a vampire in season 4 finale) mentioned that she would have lost her powers, but I don’t know if this is a continuity error (since the Heretics are witches who became vampires).

Coming back to Hayley, in season 2, Josephine (if I recall right) foresaw her future and said that a great and terrifying blackness was incoming. We thought of Dahlia all the time, but what if it was something bigger? What if it was her death? After all, we don’t know how it will happen. My fear is that it could happen by the Hollow’s hands. Since she hasn’t been destroyed and she will presumably want revenge for what happened, I believe that it is a plausible thing. I am not sure about the fire, since hybrids can be killed only by heart extraction, so perhaps the fire is mystical... and I don’t know how everything will affect Elijah, since he should watch her dying (will Hayley’s death awaken his memory?)... the only sure thing is that in a way or in another he will remember everything and I strongly believe that this will leave him devastated... Elijah chose to forget because he couldn’t bear the weight of his oath, but when he is able to recall everything, he will go crazy because few years of temporary release are nothing compared to an eternity without Hayley... after all, they broke up, but they are still in love (and yes, I know that Hayley has a friend with benefits, but true love is true love ç_ç). So I wish that, if Hayley doesn’t come back, at least, Elijah will die too... so they can stay together in death.. ç_ç It’s sad, but they really can’t destroy their story! ç_ç Also, Narducci said that they were star crossed lovers... ;___; *my kokoro*

I have another theory: Hope will be able to *reset* things, and find a way to resuscitate Hayley, since the Hollow was able to resuscitate Davina in flesh and blood in few moments... but I don’t think that Plec will be so kind, after all... Anyway, resume: we know where we are going to, but I noticed that Hayley’s death had been foreshadowed since season 2... ç_ç The rest is up to DonutsHead.
