God i just want to ramble about the sunny lenay conversation today so excuse me for a second... It was just so sunny and oh my god it was rped perfectly.

They were with tubbo hanging at phils but tubbo went afk and phil chayanne and tallulah ran off. Sunny asked tubbo where they went and got told they were probably having family time, and since sunny doesnt really have much family other than tubbo to have their own family time, they asked for family time with their ma (lenays floating corpse under tubhaus). They built a little platform to stand by her and started making up a conversation they were having with her about how she became a mermaid (died) and how they can become a mermaid to join her, because by becoming a mermaid they will be safer from attack.

The entire time tubbo just doesnt know what to do because his daughters playing with a corpse so just plays along. The vibe of the stream really encapsulates how morbid it is - theres no music, tubbos voice is really sad and hes just sat there reading her signs as they discuss becoming a mermaid and how they need to catch the person who stole their ma's legs.

Its all silly childish make believe that really just highlights that sunnys so little too. Too young to be spending their free time with a corpse.

And the entire thing just feels... lonely. Sunny doesn't have many friends. Or at least comparatively they have a lot of non-friends compared to the other eggs. The only parent they have is Tubbo. They feel so alone and they try so hard to make friends and all that culminates in is them wanting family time and making up a story about mermaids with their ma's corpse.

AITA for murdering my husband twice?

I know how the title sounds, but I swear it's not that bad

For a little bit of context, I (41M) am in a hunger games like death game where everyone has three lives. Both of these times happend when we were on our last lives.

The first time this happened, I had been in an alliance with my husband (42M who we'll call Impulse for the story) since day one of the game.

On the final day, I had managed to get into the final 5 people with impulse. These two guys (I'll call them G and S) came up to me with a clock and asked me to kill impulse. So I did. I shot him with my bow and arrow and got him out of the game.

The second time was in the third season of the game where everyone had a soulmate. My soulmate just so happened to be impulse. We had titled ourselves "the homewreckers" because we wanted to be the only happy couple on the server.

Yet again, on the last day, we got into a fight with this crazy, dog obsessed woman (who I'll call P). We were fighting and I ACCIDENTALLY killed her dog when fighting her. She got really mad. As I was trying to hit P with my sword, Impulse stepped in front of me and I accidentally stabbed him, taking him, (and me) out of the game.

Am I the asshole?

Baghera had very excitedly told Mouse about Antoine's moon. She called it a marvel, amongst many other pleasantries. Mouse, however, was more entranced with the person who made it, over the moon itself.

Antoine had a box on his head, his body wasn't visible - Mouse was shorter, she'd be able to see hidden hands or legs, even a bit under the box.

And now, under that same moon, under the cover of night, Antoine pulls her aside, with an arm Mouse can't see. Months of this, months of them seeing each other and meeting each other, months of time spent building together, Antoine squeezes her hand.

"I have to show you something." He sounds oddly serious, despite how Antoine normally is, and Mouse nods, squeezing his hand back.

By the light of the moon and stars, Antoine reaches up, and Mouse realizes she can see his arms now, and they look like the void - comepletely black.

She looks up in time to see the box being lifted up, and finally, she gets to see his face.

"Oh wow..." She breathes out, a hand coming up and touching his cheek. He doesn't push her away.

"You look sick."

One of the things I find really amazing about humans is sometimes they just REFUSE to die (or at least that's how it looks from the outside), they hold on until they can't hold on anymore. Like there are cases where people hold on until that One Big Event and then die the next day, or who have a loved one tell them it's alright and they don't have to suffer and they'll be okay, and they die hours later... the human will is STRONG. Of course not strong enough to defy nature and death but absolutely strong enough to hold on for a while longer. If the fact that Scar was taught this by his own father at the tender age of like seven comes back up later, well... :)

the funniest meltdown ive ever had was in college when i got so overstimulated that i could Not speak, including over text. one of my friends was trying to talk me through it but i was solely using emojis because they were easier than trying to come up with words so he started using primarily emojis as well just to make things feel balanced. this was not the Most effective strategy... until. he tried to ask me "you okay?" but the way he chose to do that was by sending "👉🏼👌🏼❓" and i was so shocked by suddenly being asked if i was dtf that i was like WHAT???? WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY TO ME?????????? and thus was verbal again

Studying linguistics is actually so wonderful because when you explain youth slang to older professors, instead of complaining about how "your generation can't speak right/ you're butchering the language" they light up and go “really? That’s so wonderful! What an innovative construction! Isn't language wonderful?"
