what if reader had a kid but before they got to tell Scaramouche, he ran off with the gnosis to become a god and reader tried to search for him in Sumeru until their memory was wiped when he erased himself from the past. So now reader and their kid are living in sumeru and Wanderer spots them in a park and sees his past lover with a kid that oddly resembles him and oh archons is that... it couldn't be his, could puppets even have offspring?? and aunt Nahida chimes in like yup, that's your kid, but your family doesn't remember you.

So now he has to find a way to (re)establish a life with reader and find a way to adjust to having a kid and maybe resurface your lost memories so you know he's actually the father of your child and that he deeply loves you but didn't want you to be caught in the crossfire when he was becoming a god

mermaid! scaramouche splashing water in your face with his tail, causing you to become soaked. he would laugh and wave you off, though not before peering through his half-lidded eyes to see your expression. he’s been the most interesting mer-person by far.

he says he doesn’t like to sing but does it so well. he hates eating fish but knows a lot about which one is better for grilling. he says human treasure is worthless, yet he always finds himself being drawn to inazuman clothes and accessories washed ashore. he says he doesn’t get sunburnt but demands that you set up an umbrella for him.

truly the most annoying of his kind, but he owns it.

THE UMBRELLA PART IS KILLING MEEE HE'S SO SPOILED 😭

The most high maintenance and tedious mermaid to work with honestly. You don't know why you keep coming back, just to practically be in his servitude. He expects you to cook every fish he brings you for him to eat, and it has to be seasoned and grilled perfectly, otherwise he'll complain for ages and claim that you're trying to poison him (He still eats it all tho). You're too enamored by him to leave, your curiosity always bringing you back to his shore. He's always cranky though if you've been away for a long time.

He's the type to throw fish or crabs at passersby to keep them away from your meeting spot. Sometimes, he spits a stream of water at children and swims away just as they bring their parents, pointing at the water to say that they saw a person, just for their parents to drag them away and tell them to stop making up stories while he's happily giggling underwater.

When you're bored, you make sandcastles together, and he's always the ruler of whatever kingdom you make. He pretends that all the sand dwellers/critters are his subjects and sometimes (tries) to hold public executions for any he deemed defy them (they were running away) just for you to stop him before he chops a poor crab and ask you to cook it.

And as much as he doesn't care for treasures as he claims, he still goes digging around the ocean floor, excavating treasures from the ocean and from lost human possessions to lazily gift them to you, claiming he found them laying around and thought you'd appreciate the 'junk' or whatever humans called it. He loved seeing your face light up at the things he brings, but he'll never admit it.

He doesn't usually engage in your conversation about your day, but you find that he tokens every little like and dislike you happen to mention and keeps it in the back of his mind for later, sometimes using it to pick out better gifts. He plays coy (lol) whenever you ask him about it though!

i have come to return the favour of brainrots.

lyney loves helping you get ready whenever you’re going out. you want your hair done? no problem, he knows exactly what’ll suit you. not sure what to wear? well, he’ll tell you which colours go well with your skin palette and which outlines complement your body shape. want to paint your nails? he’s already laid out all the colours in front of you (and will definitely kiss your knuckles once he’s finished.) you wear makeup? let him do your eyeliner; he’s got you covered, and can probably do it better than you could yourself. (he will, however, take the opportunity to paint a little heart on your cheek if you’re not careful. ‘see?’ he’ll grin, pointing at the teardrop on his own cheek. ‘now we match.’)

he also loves dancing with you—like, i’m imagining a typical ballroom (but maybe a bit more steampunky), and he pulls your favourite flower from what looks like thin air, lowers into a bow, holds the flower out to you, and presses his lips to the back of your hand when you take it, eyes glimmering as he asks, ‘would you care to indulge me with a dance, [monsieur/ mademoiselle/ a gender neutral equivalent]?’

and he’s such a gentleman while you’re dancing, too; one hand hovering on your hips, the other holding yours, and he definitely twirls you around, no question about it. he probably also does that thing where he catches you and you stare at each other for a long, romantic-tension-you-could-cut-with-a-knife moment before he pulls you back up.

his favourite place to kiss you is probably your knuckles—you always get adorably flustered when he just barely skims his lips over the back of your hand, and he wouldn’t give up that expression for the world—closely followed by the tip of your nose and your lips and your forehead and— (you get the idea…)

also, going back to when you’re in the crowd during his performances, him trying to find you in the audience becomes a game over time: you’ll try and make yourself as inconspicuous as possible, and he’ll look for you as he’s performing. he’s never not managed to spot you before, and each time he does and you make eye contact, he winks at you and blows you a kiss.

i feel like there’s also a chance he might actually propose to you onstage at the end of a performance if he was sure you’d be comfortable with it: like, everyone’s about to take their bows, and he suddenly asks for a ‘surprise volunteering act’—of course, you get picked (what are the chances?), and once you’re on stage, he announces, ‘now, my dearest volunteer, i only need your hand for this magic trick. nothing more, nothing less.’

you raise an eyebrow, unsure what he’s planning—this ‘surprise act’ was certainly not on the lineup he described to you—and to your (and everyone else in the audience’s astonishment), he gets down on one knee, takes off his hat, and pulls a little box from it. the whole theatre is silent: you could hear a pin drop as he clears his throat and says, ‘if you’d be so kind as to humour me… may i ask for your hand in marriage?’ safe to say, that was a day nobody who was there ever forgot…

(of course, if he thinks you might be uncomfortable with such a public proposal, he’ll stick with something more private.)

I. Don't. Care. What. ANYONE. Says. Lyney frequently kissing your hands is canon. Back, Knuckles, Wrist, Ring, ANYWHERE he can put his lips on. And he always smiles into it too.

Since he's part of the performance industry, it's common knowledge for him to know how to do hair and makeup. So if you ever struggle to do those things, he'll learn how to style and take care of your hair no matter the texture, type, or length. It might be trial and error but you both have fun bonding together, especially when he tries doing your makeup.

Archons forbid he ever puts lip gloss or something on your lips (it's gonna end up on his regardless, he has no self control when he's already inches away from kissing you). He makes a mess and has to redo it again, but that's after the mini make out session, he doesn't mind at all though... he might try to kiss you again. NEVER let them know your next move. 😭

(poor Freminet had walked in on you guys accidentally and wanted the ocean to swallow him whole- immediately reverses out of there and had trouble looking the two of you in the eyes right after.)

LOVES LOVES LOVES dancing with you, even if you can't dance or have difficulty doing so. He'll hold/carry you if he has to and just sway and spin you around. He doesn't mind if you trip up or stumble over his feet. He'll correct it, his hands guiding your hips, whispering instructions and praises as his words brush and fan across your neck, sending shivers down your spine.

He spins you like a princess, and if he's bold enough, he might throw you in the air and catch you (much to your frightened squeals and dismay). Whether you're in the spotlight or dancing in the dark, swaying in the rain, or practicing in a ballroom, his eyes are forever locked on yours. And don't expect him to dip you and NOT leave a kiss (unless he feels like teasing you). It's truly a crime to him if he doesn't at this opportune moment.

Dancing with him feels like a fairytale.

Hc that while Scaramouche was very "what are you doing? No that's stupid get away from me" wanderer is very "alright." He will tell you it's stupid still but he isn't going to stop you. You wanna put pigtails in his hair? Yeah, well, he's going to take a nap on your thighs and take them out when he wakes up. You wanna run up to him and hug him? Alright. He might hug you back. Casually.

I don't think he's good with emotions yet and he's still probably scared of being "weak" but not as much. Which allows him to enjoy his s/o more!

One thing that does not change is his reaction to someone hurting you. I'm talking more physically here because I can see Wander having some restraint with someone being verbally rude to you. Physically though? All bets are off. He's tracking them down and making them regret they were born. Murder, when it comes to your safety, is always on the table.

Wanderer is a bit more "big dog privilege" than when he was Scara mostly just because he has free time. Scara def made sure people didn't mess with you, but now Wanderer can go on late night walks with you. You wanna go to some event? Well, humans are fragile creatures and if he looks away from you for two seconds you're more likely to straight up die so he supposes he could go with you (he worries.)

In essence, Scaramouche is ur bf who's very emotionally unavailable and Wanderer is your emotionally unavailable boyfriend who lets you get away with everything

There's only so many times Wanderer can keep up his uncaring façade. Sure, he may roll his eyes at your forms of affection and make a small fuss about a few of your ideas for dates, but if you ever backtrack on any suggestions or hesitate when touching him, he's immediately taking back his words... by making it seem like he doesn't mind or that he's "only doing this for you so you won't whine about it later."

Wanderer: You wanna use my hat as an umbrella? Hmph. THE AUDACITY TO EVEN-

Wanderer 1 min later: *holding you close to his chest so you won't get wet* sigh, stop moving. do you want to get wet? 😒

Same with Scara, except his ego my win a few times and he does grumpily watch as you walk away, too stubborn to admit his act.

Even though his words don't express it, his body never fails to. Those hugs he'd sometimes reciprocate, becomes more frequent and he holds you closer to his chest. He'd fine more excuses to hold your hand, even if none of them make sense.

Its a... very slow process.

If someone ever lays a hand on you though, Wanderer would absolutely be livid. Thoughts about murder though? It depends on the severity. If someone just shoved you on the street he'd probably make their day miserable, but if someone genuinely attacked you with intentions to hurt you as much as they could...? MURDER?

Thinking about redoing the bandages on KAZUHA'S hand. He patiently hums a melody as you tend to him, taking this moment to steal many a few glances at you.

The way your delicate hands apply ointment to his burns, gently asking him if it hurts, and blowing on his bruises to drive the pain away.

He's lost in your charm even when you finish wrapping the bandage, dizzy in words he had yet to string into a poem.

He can feel butterflies churning in his stomach when you kiss his knuckles, then his wrist, with more traversing up his arms until he's thrown in a fit of laughter, nearly falling over to the ground as you make your way up to kiss his cheek that now bloomed with a shade of red that could rival his lovely eyes.

some things i think about when FREMINET cross my mind

Him with an inventor! / trinket collector! reader and them showing him all their collections and mechanical creations. He pokes at every thing he sees, marveling at all the automaton toys you've carved (yall seen his little penguin? it's adorable)

Him saving you from drowning / vice versa (I talked about this before but i really could go on more about it)

Some scenario where he's stuck at sea alone with you and he has to begrudgingly cooperate with you if he wants to get out of this situation alive. Too bad he's always in his corner talking to his penguin (also could go on about this)

Freminet holding your hand and accidently freezing it when he gets flustered. He keeps apologizing while Lyney defrost your hands, scared to touch you in fear he might do it again. (Lyney is laughing his ass off, but does his best to reassure his brother that you'll be fine)

Oh the WAY he skates up to you with his big smile, hugging you tightly and swaying you around. If he ever wins a competition, tears would prick his eyes and you'll wipe them away, telling him how proud you are (only if he'll stop peppering kissing all over your face)

Figure Skater! Kazuha who always looks for you in the audience, smiling and doing his hardest to put on a show for you. (you scold him not to do it since he needs to concentrate on his moves but he can't help it!) You always cheer the loudest when he gets high scores or does he cool spins and tricks.

Figure Skater! Kazuha who loves when you fuss over his performance outfits. If the shade of red matches his eyes, is it comfortable to wear, is it wrinkled. You always tidy him up minuets before he's supposed to enter the rink, mumbling I love yous, wishes of good luck, making him promise to not get hurt, and sometimes a long and cheesy speech for whatever the outcome is. He loves hearing you talk, you sound more nervous than him! He has trouble actually leaving for his turn and sometimes he has to stop your rambling with a kiss so he won't enter late.

Figure Skater! Kazuha who holds you close whenever you're on ice with him. Sometimes you come on ice just to check up on him (you wear cleats or whatever shoes that allow you to walk on the ice) and if he's feeling playful, he would pick you up out of no where and skate for a while and playfully laughs at your panicked state, though you know he won't drop you.

If you can skate, he'll take you to a public skating rink where all the lovely couples go and dance with you on ice.

OH OH AND WHENEVER HE GETS HURT?? You're immediately by his side pulling him off the ice to tend to his wounds. He adores you and your focused face, dabbing disinfectant to his scraps and cuts. You do your best to warm him up- which really ends up in the two of you cuddling. SPEAKING OF !!

Figure Skater! Kazuha giving you his jacket whenever he's practicing in the rink. Your warmth is his priority. Forgot your gloves? That's fine, he brought you an extra pair. No ear muffs? He'll use his hands to warm them. Brain freeze? He'll tug a beanie over your head and kiss your forehead. Runny nose? You can go back home and he'll make you a warm beverage or he'll buy you one.

Figure Skater! Kazuha who also buys your favorite foods at the concession stands and eats with you. You can consider it a date ❤️ but the plushies might be third wheeling.

Yes, he'll share his food with you even when you have your own, he'll still tease you about it though.

hi. this is just some random thought I had abt freminet x reader LMMFSOAJAOANA

you love watching the ocean from afar, but never got the ability to explore it and see what's it like in there. you can't swim at all, if you did try, you'd probably drown. in 20 seconds. ( LMAO. ) watching divers go into the sea, wishing to just be like them. People who knows how to swim. you never knew how to swim— because no one ever got to teach you. though, you always held a polaroid camera with you, taking pictures or using it to see if there's anything new or strange going on.

you thought this whole fascination about the sea was just weird. people thought so too, yet you still continued it. you thought it was hopeless— just as you took a picture of the nearby sea, wanting to keep it as a memory before you leave to go back home. you noticed a person with light hair. you look forward, to see freminet. he was basically drying himself up, you thought to yourself— "Is that a diver?!" with eyes lit up. you never met a diver in your whole life before.

freminet was a distant person. not really like his siblings, not the enjoyer of limelight. but meeting you? who knew someone had that much energy. to even ask him questions ( he walked away at first fr ). yet time passed by, and freminet is still surprised both of you are actually friends.

just as you were asking more questions, freminet got up. you raised an eyebrow, "huh- where are you going?" freminet grabbed his helmet and took your hand, leading you to where the water was. "swimming." you blinked in surprise.. Wait, is he gonna teach you how to finally swim?!

that's it. VAIGSKSHSJSHS A LITTLE LONG BUT WHATEVER 🥲🥲 ENJOY..?

I NEEDED this for real. (I died at the walking away part, mans does not wanna be perceived 😭)

I have so many thoughts about Freminet teaching you how to swim. I think he'll be a decent teacher, very patient and he never lets you get hurt. BUT LIKE, Imagine him teaching a reader who's deathly scared of deep water how to swim, that'll be so entertaining!!

Freminet kind of understood your fear of the ocean, he compares it to his fear or dislike of the spotlight. It's overwhelming and all consuming. But If he wanted to teach you how to swim, you had to overcome your fear of water.

So for the first lesson, Freminet decided to let you stand knee deep in the water, and when you're relaxed enough, he'll let the water rise to just below your stomach. While doing the first part, he taught you his breathing techniques that help keep him calm.

The first part was easy to do, giving you a confidence boost as Freminet pulled you further into the water. This was easy, This was easy, This was easy! until it wasn't...

The tides seem to pick up, brushing harder against you, and the thought of drowning crept up your skin. It made you nauseous watching the water consume you, and not being able to see your legs. You wanted to throw up, you wanted to get out. Until finally...

You panicked.

Without thinking, you thrashed around, sinking further into the water as you tried to get back to the shore. You felt slower, compacted, and completely surrounded. This isn't easy, this isn't easy, this isn't-

Suddenly, you felt your legs fold under you and you cried out a scream, instinctively clinging onto something to keep you afloat. But instead of being swallowed by the waves, you were lifted from them as Freminet held you up to his chest. It took a moment for you to open your eyes, and when you did, you were met with Freminet's concerned eyes gleaming down at you.

He carried you away from the water, reaching the sandy shore so you could finally touch ground again and find your bearings.

"Are you alright?" It took a moment for you to register his words, and even longer to realize you were still holding onto him. He didn't mind, really, but it did bring a rosy tint to his cheeks as you slowly unraveled your arms from around his neck.

You're never doing this again.

"How about we try again tomorrow?"

Okay, maybe you are doing this again if it means you could spend more time with Freminet. You still can't get over how he held you so protectively, if it wasn't for the fear coursing through your veins, you probably would have passed out then and there.

after a few days of stewing in the live laugh love lyney stew, i had a funny thought: what if cat allergy?

like imagine a reader that LOVES cats and doesn't realize they have a mild cat allergy, like the people who find bananas spicy. they think their eyes watering and their nose sniffling is purely because of their incredible love for cats. people cry out of happiness all the time, so this is a totally normal reaction to loving cats, right? right!!

and then lyney shows them the cat in his hat and and--

IM ASSUMING THAT YOU'RE LEANING TOWARDS FLUFF

where reader doesn't have a reaction at all since yknow, lyney's cat isn't like other cats?? And so reader is like... why am I not reacting the way I normally do? And Lyney is curious as to what they mean and asks.

One explanation later he's dying on the floor laughing because HOW did you think that was normal?? He tells you to stay away from cats though, for your own safety ofc, but you LOVE cats so you always pester him to let you play with his. He always relents because you'll mope around and beg him all day if he doesn't. It's also a good way to keep you company while he's gone but sometimes you give his cat more attention than him and he gets a little jealous and makes the cat disappear and reappear in his hands/hat.

And he's all like 'cuddle me instead' 🤭

I feel like I already talked so much about him already, but lemme wip something up...

I think Lyney's biggest goal is making you laugh / smile. It's literally the highlight of his day whenever he sees the childlike gleam in your eyes knowing he's the cause of it (have you seen his line about making Freminet crack a smile, he's so adorable)

Pillow fights, tickle battles, you name it!

He's also someone you could easily spill your worries to and he'll listen intently, giving words of advice when needed or simply hearing out your frustrations.

This man can be very clingy though, in public or behind closed curtains (get it? haha...yeah anyways) he just wants his arms around you in some way, and he loves spoiling you with kisses.

HC that whenever he goes out, he leaves little colorful sticky notes posted around the house scribbled with adorable messages to keep you company and smile or just reminding you where stuff is if you tend to misplace things.

But wait hear me out, what if, what if, WHAT IF !!!

you briefly stop by just to pick up a drink (you ordered online beforehand to skip the line), and while kazuha's to the side making your order he sees you and immediately wants to get to know you more... but he's on the clock so the best thing he can think of is writing a little message for you on the cup after he writes your name, and you only notice it after you get home.

It's so silly but just think about you using the order app to communicate to him through the receipts (yk the options where you customize your order- something like that idk how it works but you make it work!)

And every time you stop by he leaves you a message and you guys play 20 questions over cups and receipts ( his co-workers tease him so much about it or just roll their eyes when they hand him the message - scara fr )

im sorry i just love slow burns shfedksdhf

yall eventually get each other's numbers and you really get to know the man who's been paying for your drinks and writing poetry about you on your cups.

imagine scaramouche if hoyoverse was actually brave enough to give him ball joints like an actual doll, and him asking you to take parts of him off and clean them out for him <3 i dont know what possessed me i am not and will never be an x reader writer but you are my close friend so i will always give you ideas

oh my god fitz stop reading my mind !

yk i was actually thinking about a fic where albedo encounters a humanoid golem reader (not like a ruin guard but something similar to the spirit from Somali and the Forest Spirit) with bandages to hold them together and a heart that runs on elemental energy and such (which they can run out of and die) and albedo helps them before they perished and puts them back together (albeit their limbs tend to fall off often but they'll just shove it back on if it isnt badly damaged)

it was a pretty interesting concept to me but now im starting to see the similarities between that and scara. Imagine he has his moments where his limbs slip off or his joints sometimes lock in place or twist the wrong way. Or scara being insecure about his ball joints and covering them up with bandages and stuff!!

He doesn't like being dependent on people but he's thankful that albedo/reader helps him out with these things (even though he tends to never verbalize it)

I also think it'll be interesting if he messes up doing a lot of things because of his puppet aspects. Imagine he's really clumsy.
