33 years ago today (or yesterday for some of you) on Friday, March 1st, I was born. How dramatic I know. But if you're tagged on this post you probably already know that that's how I do. Lol

In these past couple of months (past year really) I have met such lovely people on here. People that have taught me things, given me another point of view, cheered me on when I needed it most, listened to me ramble incessantly, read my writing, made me laugh, given me fandom heart attacks, made me smile, etc.

So here's a picture of my pink cake (this Barbie is externally pinky and internally goth ^_^) because I wanted to metaphorically give you all a piece of it for giving me so much. It’s not moving, not squeezing back and Even fears the worst. The evening-cool water laps at them, and Even’s knee balances uncomfortably on a rock as he tries to keep the motorcyclist elevated.

“An ambulance is coming. I’m going to lift your visor.” He does so, and a pair of frightened eyes stare back at him. They’re open. Good. “It’s okay. You’re okay. I’m here. Even. My name is Even.”

The eyes blink at him. And then the hand squeezes his. Even grins, deliriously happy that the man can move a little, and he doesn’t know when it happened, but there’s a crowd now. Above them on the parapet. He hears them talking and shouting.

“Can I help?” a woman calls down.

“Are you a doctor?”

She shakes her head.

“Then, no?”

Below him, the motorcyclist laughs. Actually laughs. It’s hoarse, dry, and clearly struggling.
