This is my Miku pokemon trainer tier list

For this tier list its both my favorites and what i consider a very good miku design

Of course all of them are good miku designs but some shine above the rest

S tier- my absolute favorites Bug miku is so classy, so well thought out, and i think the brown looks amazing with her teal. Shes everything A close tie with bug miku is Ice miku her hair is everything to me im in complete love with this sharp miku. Water Miku is basic but that's all she needs in lovely simplicity, truly feeling like Miku in this world as a water trainer especially with her tan lines from her original outfit it feels like this is her off time from being an idol! Steel Miku had my heart as soon as I saw her with Jirachi. Which was my favorite pokemon when I was a child [it was prior before i even had any pokemon games of my own and only watched the movies] The colors, the motif of star, the hat and the hair its all wonderful to me!

A tier- Amazingly done concepts and totally miku! Rock Miku's dress and veil is lovely, i love they incorporated the veil as mock pigtails. If this was the verison of her without the dress then she would have been in S tier. I love the jester look but thats my own personal preference. She also reminds me of diance with the dress.

Flying Miku is gorgeous, the wispy hair, the translucent areas to mimic clouds and mist. It's an amazing concept and wonderfully executed design! Fairy miku i know is everyones favorite and it's obvious to see why, shes adorable and cute and I too would love to draw her. She has that appeal to her down to a T. Fighting Miku is something i've been waiting for this whole time. Of course no way they could do a pokemon collab with miku and not include farfetch'd! It's a sleek and simple design that takes traits of the original miku's outfit and tweaks them. Though she does kind of remind me of maka from soul eater just a small bit.

B tier- Great concepts! Electric Miku's lightening pigtails are so cute she looks like a little adventure/farmer of currents. She stands on her own as a design and as a tie to miku. Poison type Miku i would have done the same doing mucky/slime twintails though i probably wouldn't have thought to use the new alolan muk which is a very good look and helps add in the colors. It's a great design and while i wouldve put her in A tier some of her design elements hold me off. This is a top tier character design though trust me Dark Miku, i love she came with obstagoon. Though at first i couldnt even tell if miku had pigtails in the artwork. This reminds me just of a nice miku for a cover of an existing song which is not bad it's just how it feels. Normal type miku has good colors, shes paired with an active singing pokemon and while it's simple I think it conveys miku well enough. Though she keeps reminding me of the oversaturated stereotype of early 90s fashion. now on Ghost miku, shes higher than i'd actually put her but for her concept and simplicity of staying to miku but as a glitched out ghost version of her i do have to give props to that even if i find it more on the plain side. I think they succeeded in what was necessary even though this portrays miku AS the ghost instead of just a ghost trainer. ....honestly now that i type my words i feel like i was right and shouldve stuck with her in C tier.

C tier- too basic for my tastes yet still well done Grass miku is cute and all but if you told me she was unrelated to miku, i could believe you. Just that it'd be a fandom joke to call her 'green miku'

Fire miku, reminds me all too much of the anniversary miku song and im sure thats where they got part of the insipration from it but it doesnt really do much for me combined with the fire aspect and how her hair is shaped. I know its to mimic the pokemon shes with its just personal taste on that one. The silhoutte is good.

Ground type miku i had to keep looking up because i forget what shes supposed to be numerous times. Same case with grass miku, i could see someone telling me shes from x thing and unrelated to miku. I'm just not a fan of the design and colors but it's well done. I know when something is just my subjective taste rather than poorly done.

Dragon miku while i'm not the biggest fan of all the cowlicks going down the twintails i know it's purpose is there to mimic the spiked tail of a traditional dragon and i wouldn't want them removed. I think i especially just don't like the tacked on half shawl cape it feels disjointed. Yet i find its a nice concept they did both an almost knight look for her as dragon as always with the concept of knights and dragons battling. Now the knight trainer is battling with the dragon as comrades.

Psychic type miku- i think they started with the least interesting and noteworthy one honestly. It just looks, kind of uninspired but thats rude to say. I know shes here to fufill the concept of miku as a trainer in pokemon and well it just looks like she's her own trainer class that'd have multiple running around looking the same instead of a stand out like a rival or a gym leader in game.

Only Friends Character Rankings Episode 7

Listen, I didn't know how badly I wanted Mew/Ray until there was a legit chance of Mew/Ray and now IT'S ALL I CAN THINK ABOUT. Another killer episode as all the shit gets laid bare, Nick and Sand cement their bond over being pathetic simps for men who do not love them, Top sits in the loser feeling and DOES NOT LIKE IT and...OH YEAH MEW AND RAY ARE DATING NOW I GUESS. Last week Top ran away with the audience poll as I learned the valuable lesson that y'all actually pay attention to the poll question and I should probably think about it a bit more...lol. Here's my rankings for this week

🔹1. Ray (1)

It’s never too late, Mew. I love you no matter what. It’s all up to you whether you want to open your heart to me.

I almost gave it to Mew because FUCKING EPIC but Ray actually got everything he ever wanted by the end of this episode: Mew has decided to give him a chance, even if it's as a rebound. And y'all, I am INTO IT. They're never gonna have sex, obvi, because Mew high key isn't interested and Ray is #1 simp so dumb obsessed he'll never push it, but I'm still enjoying the flavour. Besides, when Ray gets horny or needs actual affection, he'll just call Sand anyway...OOP. So yeah, Ray wins the week.

🔺2. Mew (3)

I stopped being a good guy. I got no shit from that. To deal with nasty people, I must be as nasty as them.

Wasn't it fascinating that when it was time to break bad Mew a) looked to Ray for style inspo, b) decided to let Ray sniff it one time and c) is leaning into the Ray Life? I wanna dissect Mew like a lab specimen. He's like 'I'm gonna be shitty too' and then just...becomes Ray. Then he Boston-style mansplains manipulates manwhores his way into possessing Boston's sex tape. And THEN in what has to be a 100% Mew move (because neither Ray nor Boston would EVER) threatens to out Boston to his dad, but then Uno reverses it like OF COURSE I WOULD NEVER DO THAT BECAUSE I'M BETTER THAN YOU. And he looked like he REALLY fucking enjoyed that vantage point from the moral high ground. He really looks down on those friends of his huh. And his destiny for always having to 'win' his friendships and relationships is being betrayed and cheated on...don't @ me it's canon. I WANT TO STUDY MEW SO BAD, because from one angle he looks righteous and from another he looks like the living fucking worst. Amy Elliot-Dunne, here's looking at you kid.

🔺3. Boston (6)

Okay. I’m here to get yelled at. Yell at me all you want. Get it over with. Come on. I don’t expect it to be over. I just want you to vent. Fine. I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to. It was unintentional. It was so nice of me to introduce Mew to something new. I just borrowed him for a bit. What’s a big deal? Let’s be honest here. Without my help, there was no way Mew got his hands on a top-tier like that.

Boston sashaying into the hostel totally unrepentant is a top 5 Only Friends MOMENT and I LIVED for it. He decided the 'brazen' part of 'brazen slut' was the part to lean into and honestly, as one of the few people this ep actually owning their shit I respected the hell out of that. YEAH I FUCKED HIM, I FUCKED HIM BEFORE YOU DID, AND I FUCKED HIM AGAIN AND SO WHAT? In Boston's mind, everybody wins here: Ray wins, because Mew is single again, Mew wins because he knows Top's an untrustworthy cheater, and he wins because he wanted to fuck Top and he fucked Top. Everybody wins, let's just move on. I love the simplicity of Boston's worldview, and how internally consistent and oddly pure it is. He has the morals of an alley cat, but he never LIES. He'll manipulate, but he never actually deceives. In some ways you can trust him absolutely, he's unwavering. Fascinating.

🔹4. Nick (4)

I love him. He doesn’t have to care about me. I don’t have to be his number one. But he must not hate me. Do you get it?

Man, Nick and Sand were almost tied because equally pathetic this week, but at least Nick got a teensy bit of a kick in by telling Mew about the sex tape. Also interesting how he didn't rat Sand out to Boston despite Sand clearly not thinking or really caring about how sharing the audio clip would blow back on Nick. Nick's a creep, but he has a little bit of a code. Do I feel sorry for him, no I don't, but maybe a teeny tiny bit.

🔻5. Sand (2)

I’m your emergency staff anyway. I’ve always been since the first day we met.

I cannot believe that in episode 7 of Only Friends we got a scene where Sand and Nick hug each other and cry together over how pathetically they simp for shitty men who will never love them. WHOMST is doing it like Jojo n'em, I ask you? THAT MAN CALLED YOU A WHORE IN FRONT OF PEOPLE and then did it again while flinging you to the ground and in return you rescued him from a car crash, fed, bathed and shaved him. Sand has a degradation kink, that's the only thing that makes sense here I swear, because how can one human be down THIS atrocious? I wanna see how low he can go, and I also wanna see if we're getting that baseball bat and WHOM FOR. All the things I wished for Nick before the show aired, I now wish for Sand. Boil that bunny baby.

🔺6. Top (7)

I will make you fall in love with me again.

Top really stunned that he's lost. Look, I know my read on Top isn't the consensus read on Top, and yeah maybe I'm wrong, but to me this is only incidentally about Mew, because for Top Mew is a means of self-actualization. Getting Mew to be his boyfriend was awesome, because it means TOP is awesome. Losing Mew over a rookie fucking mistake is a tragedy because it means Top is a loser. Getting Mew back would reaffirm Top's awesomeness to himself. TOP LOVES THE IDEA OF MEW, NOT MEW. I wish I could show you guys the parade of Tops that my peeps and I have met in life so you could understand why I cannot stand this man and want to see him in ruins. But yeah, he's on the rise, because Mew is totally gonna take him back after his disaster run with Ray.

🔺7. Gap (8)

That look you gave. Was it intended to lure me to come after you?

Drake is back yet again, my favourite guest star. They totally cheated by not letting Gap and Mew actually touch lips, although that's probably character accurate. But Mew gets somebody else to look down on and feel morally superior to, and that's his version of an orgasm so Gap totally got SPIRITUALLY laid.

🔻8. Cheum (5)

I was rooting for Top. I thought he was a good guy.

At least she's keeping the group project afloat so they don't fail this damn class, but literally NOBODY ELSE thought Top was a good guy, NOT EVEN MEW. Jesus fix it girl.

Mister(s) Shakedown(s) + Amon

Didn't get to Amon in Y0, because we didn't finish these quests. One of the few that we didn't do in full, actually. Didn't seem as fun at the moment. Amon gets a pass, because he gets more screen time in later games.

2. Helicopter-car chases

These sequences was pure torture. My hands were cramped even when I wasn't holding the controller. Every minute lasted an hour. The fucking bazookas? Infuriating. Worst survival horror game.

Evilness: 9/10 fuck this shit, let me out of the car Forgetability: 1/10 still feel the cramps .__, Iconic level: 0.5/10 “look, just like in the movies, right?” Free slot: 1,5/10 on enjoyment scale 

3. Cult leader from the substory

Pretty funny scam artist, all the later games character development got him on the list. We love us a lil fucked up reoccurring character.

4. Dojima captain guy 1

5. Dojima captain guy 2

Purple suit guy with the boxing/dancing ring in the basement was pretty fab. He gets extra points for the drip. Otherwise idk what he- wait he saved Majima that one time? Huh. You keep learning things.

Evilness: 7/10 normal yakuza guy doing yakuza things Forgetability: 9/10 I know he was there, I guess Iconic level: 3/10 purple suit points Free slot: purple suit, that’s all I remember

6. Kuze

First fight with him was pretty tough. And then he just kept coming back, again and again. With desperate determination. And Kiryu got stronger and stronger between each encounter. And Kuze stayed on the same level, just looking more and more beat up. And that's amazing storytelling through game mechanics, but also really iconic, ngl. 

I mean, man rode a dang motorbike in the sewers. He got the motorbike in the sewers, positioned it in the right spot to start the chase (did he get help for that?), and then rode it down there, through the nasty Kamurocho pipes, hunting down an annoying twunk like a medieval baron chasing a boar. All this while already beat up by said twunk. And he gets beaten again. Rolling in that sweet sewage water in his bandages. 

Evilness: 6/10 he’s out there vibing to his own tunes Forgetability: 1/10 he Will Not Let You Forget about him, even if you’d want to Iconic level: 8/10 meme icon Free slot: he seemed like real threat at the start, but by the chase in the sewers he was our pal, our failmate bro, all the respect to his dedication o7; 4/10 on actual fights and smartness

7. Kashiwagi 

He's on the list for what he did to Nishiki. Just sent the brother of his son to kill, uhh, his son. Just like that. Like, I get that he had his reasons, he really thought he was doing good, he thought he's saving Kiryu from suffering. Because of course it is all about Kiryu and what he supposedly (probably) (maybe) needs.

Evilness: 7/10 good intentions on the way down Forgetability: 0.5/50 look at him slurping cold noodles in his first scene, he’s stealing the show Iconic level: 7.5/10, again, look at the man eating noodles like a dad Free slot: 2/10 top tier dad, bless. 

8. Sagawa

He's such a masterfully done abuser. Partially because he acts so nice. But there's always an unnerving feeling underneath it.

He only resorts to violence when everything's gone to shit. But it always feels like he's capable of it at any moment. It's like a rock constantly looming over, waiting to drop.

Evilness: 8.5/10 on the creep scale, very good for the story Forgetability: 2/10 he’s in your walls, he owns your walls, your balls, and your paycheck Iconic level: 6/10 smartly dressed Free slot: 1/10 as a person, would deck him on sight; thank g-d Majima's away from him now

9. Shimano

Smart, playing the long game, but really, in Y0 he seemed smarter than he is. 

Long distance threat to Majima's safety, the threat he has trouble seeing as one. And that's the real kicker, that's the horror of it all – Majima striving to get back in the family, back under Shimano's thumb in his self-destructive last mission quest. Majima deciding to come back/stay even after the Hole, after y0, Majima getting so close to freedom but not being able to grasp it, and rationalising staying near Shimano for years, rebelling, but never separating in full.

And Shimano perfectly understands the power he has over Majima, and is always ready to use it. To break him at a moment's notice, if it will be useful for his plans. And this is way more uncomfortable and terrifying than Sagawa's brand of underlying threat.

Evilness: 12/10 made us start the “save Majima” movement Forgetability: 0/100 burned into my brain in the worst way possible Iconic level: 3/7 fashion sense is kinda bland, but he does have a presence Free slot: again, would deck on sight, but still – amazing character writing, very cool points for Majima’s story

10. Oda

Big oof moment, amaright?..

Such a fascinating character. He's not stereotypical, and has a compelling, layered personality, which is amazing for a gay man in the big hit game. But also. Ooof. Such a big oooof.

But, surprisingly in this day and age, it's not being gay that made him a piece of trash awful man who died. He was all that on his own, it was just his shit finally catching up to him in the end. And the love for Tachibana was actually his saving grace in life, a point of growth as a person (albeit small). So not denying him that, no. Even one-sided, it made him more human. 

Idk if writers did all that on purpose, but these points felt very distinct in the story.

It's fascinating how Oda's character is a (terrible) person first, and he just happens to be gay. But also, him being gay is ultimately important. We played y0 before all the gay shows took over the screens, and this storyline hit us like a train. Can tell you a lot about the state of queer media at the time.

11. Nishitani

Hated him at the start, because he's a creepy cat, because of the noises, and also because of that one slide on the ground with the knife wiggle, you know the one. Unironically love him now, because the world out there is full of far worse people, and he sure did his attempt at surviving it.

(He totally crawled away at the end, no body no finale, I stan by this)

Evilness: 7/10 he's pretty fucked up, ngl, bringing corpses to Majima like a stray cat Forgetability: -10/10 lives rent free in everyone's head Iconic level: 9/10 man's been on the screen the least but made an impression of a lifetime (on all of us, and on Majima) Free slot: yet another normal cat that everyone think is a "mad dog"; honorary Knife Guy

12. Dojima

Organized a wholeass hunt for Kiryu, got Makoto shot, planned a big power grab, put it all on the table… and lost it all. To Sera.

Respecting him for the effort, he didn't let us rest once. Not respecting what his drinking (and other life choices) made him into later, but even before that I struggle to see what Yayoi saw in him. Apart from maybe her being a young girl from a yakuza family that arranged a political marriage for her when she wasn't even 20 yet. And there is a story here that can be very interesting, like, did you know that (according to rggo) at this exact time Sera was a student that was often arrested on protests? In this essay I will-

Evilness: solid 8/10 he do be scheming Forgetability: 1/10 dragon of who, you say? (Kiryu is very much the dragon of Daigo by this point, but yeah) Iconic level: 5/10 dressed good and has big presence, but derails down the line to a total (not hot) mess, so no respect  Free slot: you know, right? Daigo is totally Seras' so- *gets gutted by Yayoi*

13. Knife guy

When Kiryu went through his (and ours) first Long Building™️ to get to the (first) fight with Kuze, we encountered Him. The guy with the knife. 

It was already tough going through room after room of generic enemies when Kiryu wasn't that strong yet, and we weren't that skilled with the controls. And the Knife Guy was the first recurring enemy, a small mini-boss with a stabby knife that would bleed us dry and leave us savescumming. And he kept coming back. Again, and again, and again, and-

Before Kuze. Before Majima Everywhere. Before everything. There was an unkillable lil freak with a knife that just wouldn't quit until you literally threw him out of the 2nd floor window.

And I think it's beautiful.

ahh this is such a fun question, thanks so much for the ask! a difficult question as well lol, i am very indecisive so a top 10 anything is... tough

i'll limit myself to animanga only, aaand lump some characters in under the same banner so there's definitely going to be more than 10 here. i'm also prohibiting myself from giving more than one slot to hpmi characters or that would just be the whole list

anyway:

ICHISAMA (package deal, do not separate)

this is probably obvious (or should be obvious) from my pinned but in first place are of course my forever blorbos (and forever otp) ichiro and samatoki of hypnosis mic

it's hard to say what i like about them besides "literally everything" which is kind of funny because for like the first year-ish of me being into hpmi neither of them were my top favorites lol

and now i genuinely have to say i like them both equally, and like them both the most. out of any characters of anything ever. i typed a bunch of paragraphs after this but think i'll actually just stop here because nothing really does justice to how they make me feel (unwell, in a good way)

this post is already getting long so everything else will go under a cut! and besides ichisama in first, none of the other characters will be strictly ranked in order. mostly just listed as i think of them

2. bon my beloved, of showa genroku rakugo shinju

this is my favorite anime of all time, and what i would personally consider the best anime of all time, and bon is perhaps the single most beautiful character with the single most beautiful story i've consumed ever. i never feel any urge to make or consume fanworks of this series because it's just so mind-blowingly perfect and complete to me

i won't spoil too much about the series, but it's a tragedy, and that's something i don't read or watch much of. so it's truly exception for this to be my favorite, but it was just that good

bon is in so many ways a tragic character, and the series allows you to see him through his whole life. he's tragic in such a hauntingly beautiful way, though, and i left the series feeling like he now lives in my bones

this is probably also my favorite ishida akira role ever, which is saying a lot because he's always great. i love the anime because it gives such life to the rakugo performed in the series, and though i'm not an expert on rakugo, i felt like the performances were top-tier. and it always impresses me when voice actors take on roles that require them to perform a whole ass other art form (like rakugo or rap)

3. aomine (knb) AND grimmjow (bleach)

these are the same goddamn man i'm putting them together no one can stop me. they are a) blue b) panther-coded c) very aggro d) very aggro at a ginger mc specifically e) DEPRESSED and f) voiced by suwabe

(though honestly grimmjow's just here because they're too similar to separate, aomine's the real favorite here)

the thing with aomine is basically—

—and that paired with his tough guy/badass/fuckface manner is very appealing to me. i don't think it's even remotely possible for me to be brief in why he's so dear to me, but the short version is he's a deeply traumatized asshole and i'm into that

4. KIYOSE HAIJI RUN WITH THE WIND GUY OF ALL TIME (and various other sports guys who are single mothers)

i may have a lot of guys of all times but haiji is for real. before ichiro he was my favorite character of anything ever for a while, and he is definitely my favorite type of sports guy (so a lot of other sports guys are going to be lumped into this category with him lol)

he has an infectious passion for running and he will infect you. whether you let him or not. it's not negotiable. you will run. no matter what

i think he brings out the best in those around him, sometimes at a detrimental cost to himself. he pushes his team hard but pushes himself even harder. we stan a self-destructive king

and i'm putting natsusa number24 right in this rank with him

because while number24 is objectively Not a good anime, it's easily one of my favorite sports series and i sincerely love natsusa just as much as i love haiji. natsusa is like if someone made haiji but cranked the bitch factor up to one billion, he is the most gaslit gatekeep girlboss guy in all of sports anime and i love him for that

bonus shoutout to iura kei of shakunetsu kabaddi, usui yuuta of days, and sugawara koushi of haikyuu. gotta be my favorite flavor of sports guy

(ok this is not even fully true because i think my days favorite did ultimately end up being mizuki because he's just so fucking stupid BUT usui i still love you.........)

5. kaworu and all his ridiculously many expies (aka the "and then a weird guy appear" category)

basically i'm talking about these fucks

they show up, sometimes not even for very long, and all they do is cause problems (ok victor probably doesn't really belong here but he honestly does fit the mold and i'm too lazy to crop him out from this old graphic i made lol) and love another weird guy so catastrophically that it alters the course of the story

the way kaworu loves shinji the way komaeda loves hinata the way zashunina…… obsesses over shindo. like fine wine to me, chef's kiss. tbh that's why victor fits the mold for me, his and yuuri's love is less the "People Will Die" type of catastrophic but it's still life-changing, life-saving, for them both

ironically even though kaworu is a ryo expy himself i'm not. i'm not that big on ryo, i'll be honest. maybe it's because i wasn't the biggest of netflix devilman in general. i should probably read the manga sometime, might change my mind

6. SOFT BOYS natsume and rei

putting them together in part because lol look at them making the same pose on their anime covers even

these are both (natumse's book of friends and march comes in like a lion) two of my favorite series, and two of my favorite protagonists. they're soft but not weak, hurt but not broken. it just feels comfortable to spend time with them, to follow them even when they're hurting

honestly celty is just cool as fuck. there are lots and lots of reasons to love her but i get so incoherent about it. it's really strange because i feel like the way narita writes women is not great in many ways, and yet... he always fucking... writes the hottest fucking women goddamn, i can't be mad about that

8. sir integra fairbrook wingates hellsing, of hellsing

god. yet another. she's just so fucking cool. massively obsessed with her. it's been too long since i've watched hellsing (and durarara for that matter) for me to remember a ton of details but her whole personality is just so appealing to me

9. hei, of darker than black

once again he's just cool as fuck, also i'm chinese and it's rare to see a really good chinese character in anime, much less as a main character. darker than black is an older series at this point, but it remains one of my old favorites. second season was a bit questionable but honestly i didn't hate it. my boy got fuucked uuupppppp (said with delight)

funny story about hei is when i first started watching the show there was this moment where i thought "this is a weird detail to notice but something about his collarbones look really nice to me? they're just two lines but idk they're lovely"

THEN LATER IN THE SERIES on at least two other occasions that i can remember, maybe more, actual characters in canon commented on THIS SPECIFIC THING. HIS COLLARBONES. so what do i like about hei? what does anyone like about hei? apparently it's his collarbones lmao

In anticipation of the Live-Action series next month, I want to review the manga of the show.

Synopsis: Yuki Shirasaki, a B/C tier actor, finally landed a drama role with the superstar Asami Hayama. Both will play gay lovers in an upcoming drama. However, Shirasaki found himself unable to act properly for he is a virgin. And he ended up asking his superstar costar to “help” him play the role.

SPOILERS DUH.

The plot aspect

Question of consent

In the first chapter, we are already exposed to a question of how to affirm consent. Shirasaki ended up having Asami at his place after the usual after-work hang. One thing led to another, Asami ended up in the same bed with Shirasaki and he is drunk, I think to the extent of blackout drunk. Asami wanted to have sex with his costar, even though he was drunk. As this is a Japanese BL manga, as predicted, lust took over and Asami ended up having sex with his coworker, non-penetrative sex. The next day, Asami regretted having sex with Shirasaki because he was drunk.

This manga doesn’t really stray away from the several Japanese steamy bl mangas – that I have read or watched – which have floated the question of how to give consent. This particular manga, imo, is more mindful, comparatively, to the question of consent. Most of the times, usually, the inebriated penetrator of the sex will just simply say “but you like it didn’t you?” I guess it’s a fresh take on it. Asami gave some form of remorse. There was also a scene after Asami and Shirasaki became sex partners in which, Shirasaki was drunk and horny, Asami refused to have sex with him at first, but then, of course, lust took over and Asami agreed to have sex with Shirasaki.

The manga was also the first work where I encountered, I don’t know how else to put it, a top being robbed of his consent by a bottom. It was after the two of them have become sex partners. Asami has finally fucked Shirasaki with his penis. The series that they’re working together with is about to end. Asami was fingering Shirasaki as usual. However, Shirasaki wanted more even though he has cum twice. Asami kept brushing off the request by Shirasaki to fuck him using his penis. Then, Shirasaki just ride his dick.

A lot of people that I had conversations with said to me that tops can’t process consent. That it is in our nature to always be in the mood and do it. What a load of dung. No, we don’t. It’s just very hurtful to see Asami being denied the opportunity to have a say. And many people will say, well, Asami didn’t try to stop it. I don’t know how to respond to that, I think there must be other way, mid coitus, to affirm that Asami was enjoying it, without the idea of “well, you didn’t resist”. I guess the way that Asami eventually took control of the sex was an indication that he was enjoying it as well.

I’m not saying that Shirasaki is the only horndog in this manga, there were also many times when Asami had sex with Shirasaki even though he already said no. Mostly because they were still in the studio haha.

How to be a good actor

So, this show actually delved into what constitutes a good acting. However, as a non actor myself, I really don’t know how to produce one, and to be quite frank, the manga doesn’t make me understand what a good acting is, even more than what I already had known – good acting is convincing. However, this manga explained more what actors do than Help I’m Being Harassed by the Sexiest Man of the Year (2018).

This manga also used the trope of “well, I’m just doing this to get into my character” like the one in I Became the Main Role of a BL Drama (2023). I have not read the manga of said show, but imo, At 25:00, in Akasaka transitioned more smoothly for the supposed “costars” from “doing it just to get into the character” into being a real lovey-dovey couple. The end of the first volume I think was well done in making the transition.

This manga has the common Japanese BL manga trope of long-lost love. Asami actually had met and a crush on Shirasaki during their undergrad time. After a show that Asami starred in and Shirasaki’s club organized, Asami had wanted to act because the show that he just had done was fun for him. When others had urged him to just go modelling, Shirasaki was the only one to encourage him to seek acting jobs. I think this little snippet of history was just cute.

I think it’s a bit weird that Asami started out as the aspiring model, yet, it’s Shirasaki, the one who has been in many plays, who needed to learn about acting. Huh? I don’t know why tho haha

Wires mixed up

I think dramas in general always use miscommunication as a trope. This drama is no exception. I think the way they did not overdo it. Most miscommunications are done in a 3-chapter period. The first time they used it in making Asami confessed his love to Shirasaki, mid coitus, I understand. The other times were when Shirasaki was in the slumps and couldn’t act well for a play that he got casted in after the drama, both the series and film, became a hit, he one-sidedly decided not to see Asami because he wanted to see whether he can be an independent man who doesn’t need no man, but in the end, he still saw him lol. During this slump period as well, he met with Asami’s queer friend whom Shirasaki thought was also his ex. But then, it got cleared up. No notes on the use of this trope.

Japanese media industry

I really don’t know how the industry works there in terms of queer actors. I don’t know any out and proud actors and/or celebrities. I don’t know whether queer people are systemically, behind closed doors – not through laws, persecuted from working in the media industry. The reason why I brought this up is because Asami was semi-out. People know and see him in the gay districts. Of course, some people still are in denial that he is straight. But my point is, even though he got spotted in gay bars or districts, he still got casted. Yet, Shirasaki still didn’t want people to know that he moved in with Asami. He just made rumours that he moved in to the *same* building of Asaki. My perception of celebrity idolization in Japan is that, Japanese people always respect the stars’ private lives. So, why do they care if one of their stars is gay? I don’t know, I haven’t read more on queer persecution in the Japanese media industry.

Surprisingly, there’re no tabloid vultures here. I don’t know why. In Help I’m Being Harassed by the Sexiest Man Alive (2018), the vulture actually outed the couple. This manga doesn’t really see outing as a credible threat to their career. I don’t know why.

One gay, one still figuring things out

What is it with Japanese BL works, many of them have this trope of a couple, one being proudly gay, the other being still figuring things out. Although I love you, and you? Perfect Propose, Tokyo in April is…, Jack-o-frost (technically), arguably Love is Better the Second Way Around all have this trope. Why is that so? I mean, as a gay man myself, I’m not that offended by this trope. I have read some queer arguments that lesbian representation has always been this one very predatory lesbian against a non-lesbian woman. I don’t think that the non-gay person feels like they’re being groomed or anything. It’s just that in most Japanese BL shows, even after their crush said no, the one who has the crush still tries to make moves and try to make them like the crush-haver back. I don’t know man, as someone who watches heavily western media, it’s just not right to keep coming on your crush even after they have said no. And I agree with that. Being friends is not a bad thing.

Queer representation?

So, this manga actually has a crossdresser as a part of a character in the drama that Asami and Shirasaki star in. But there was no discussion as to how the actor plays in it, he just says that he likes getting more popular. The last volume actually featured the androgynous dominant personality having friend of Asami, the one who owns the gay bar where he also frequents in. However, we don’t really get more of his character, other than he uses he/him pronouns and he is a verse? Not that good of character use, I hope that the character actually has more roles in the next chapters.

My Expectations

No, not that much. This manga is quite explicit. And its explicitness is central to the plot. I doubt, in my heart of hearts, doubt severely that they can execute this like the manga portrays them. Tokyo in April is… is such a great show, but they really miss the mark so much compared to the manga, and I still love it immensely. Cornered Mouse Dreams of Cheese was quite explicit, but not as explicit as the manga, yet I still love it. I am hopeful for the series next month. Can’t wait!

OK so like disclaimer: I have yet to get to the third semester in Royal myself (I am playing through the game at a snail's pace 😭) so this is more like my thoughts based on a) just the designs in general, b) the designs in the context of the characters and c) what context I do have of the third semester (I know most of it but obvs it will be different once I actually play it). Oh and of course these are all my personal opinions so that's just something to keep in my mind!

For a more general overview of the personas, I actually think the design principle behind these personas slaps so hard. The way that each of them are in a sense, the real, true version of the original character of the initial designs is actually amazing and such a perfect final form for the thieves (considering their whole thing is ripping off their masks they wear in society blah blah blah). And also each of them try to incorporate a part of the character into the persona design (I'll explain that a bit in a minute) is really really cool. However, as with anything there are designs that nail these ideas and then there are some that for me miss it. Overall though, I think they are a solid set of personas and in general I would say I like them as a collective (not as much as the initial and they slightly lose out to the second tier designs but not by much).

Now for a more detailed persona by persona breakdown:

Raoul: Oh boy. Raoul. OK this is tricky for me. As like a design I think he slaps so hard. He looks sleek, cool and I love his head and wing design, I think they continue on from Arsene's monster gentleman look well and bring a more modern vibe to the persona (which a lot of these personas seem to do). And I think its a fitting design for Joker (purely from an aesthetic point of view, I find it hard to comment on it from the point of "does this fit Joker's personality" because that's really down to player interpretation). But hoo boy. There's two major issues with him for me.

Obvious one is that he's a DLC Persona. Instant loss for me. It adds no sentimental factor to him as a Persona (i.e. no awakening scene), all you do is just pay however much it is for him and then bam you have a cool Persona. That was a huge missed opportunity on Atlus' part. However, this brings me into my second issue, is that even if he did have an awakening scene there is no way it would ever top Satanael. Like Satanael is such an underrated persona for me, its a shame he's underutilized in the games too, because like wow that awakening scene. Is there any bigger fuck you to a god then summoning the devil through the power of friendship and humanity's hope to shoot him in the face. Unparalleled. But back to Raoul I just don't think he tops Satanael and he's stuck in DLC which lessens his impact/importance for me even though he's probably one of my favorites design wise.

Diego: I actually really really like him. I don't know why but I appreciate the swagger this Persona has. I think what Diego does best is really capture Morgana as a character. He's cocky, confident, considers himself as a bit of a ladies man (Diego looks like a playboy sorry) and successfully brings a modern twist to Zorro (and you know fits the whole this is Zorro unmasked because well it is literally Zorro unmasked). I can see why the design wouldn't appeal to some people because admittedly it is a bit boring but all in all I think its a solid look.

William: Yeah William slaps. He's a great design. I really enjoy how he's a more punk (might not be the right word but that's the best I can think of rn), cool, sleek version of Captain Kidd. I think he really fits Ryuji in the sense that it actually looks like something Ryuji would wear lol. It fits as well with the whole "Ryuji embracing his role as the delinquent" and again as is with a lot of these designs, brings a modern twist to it. This doesn't really mean much but I really like the sleek boat that he rides on. It just looks cool and honestly that's how I feel about William. He just looks really cool and very Ryuji.

Celestine: My Ann bias might come through here but oh boy do I adore this design. I think out of all of them, this is the one that executes the third tier design principles the best. First: it's a really cool upgrade for Carmen, and it really looks like it was made for Ann. Like the confidence the swagger and yes there is the whole sexy dominatrix thing going on with her but to me it feels like this is much better executed. The men at the end of her pigtails is to be quite honest a really neat design and a nice continuation of the elements we see in the previous personas. Which brings me to my next point: this is one of the two best examples of another aspect of the third tier personas: the fact that they are shown to be a fusion of sorts between the previous two personas. I don't think the ones I've mentioned so far execute this as well as Celestine and one other I'll get to later do. The combination of the Hecate color palette and Carmen's features plus the elements of Ann herself (Celestine is very fashion model to me) is done so well that I actually think it's probably the best designed of all of them.

Gorokichi: Oh Gorokichi. I have seen two opinions on this persona: people either love him or they hate him. I am very much in the later camp. I really hate this design NOT because of the actual design itself but more so the design in context. Look on its own I love how flamboyant it is. The pink fur coat, the ridiculous heels, that Groose looking hair style it's honestly really fun and different. It looks like something out of Zoolander. This all being said, in context... no. Look Yusuke is a flamboyant character. He's an artist he's passionate we know this. But this persona is far too gaudy for him. Gorokichi looks extremely materialistic and honestly way too tacky for Yusuke. Idk I'm sure other Yusuke fans feel differently but for me I just think it's probably the most out of character of all the personas in terms of how the designs relate to the character. There's something about it that just doesn't sit right with me 🤷‍♂️ I will say though I think it does an OK job at being a fusion of Susanoo (who is by FAR the better design btw) and Goemon. Again all of that is just my personal opinion but I think this is probably the weakest of the third tier personas.

Agnes: OK after writing like essays for the others I'll be honest I don't have much to say about Agnes. Like it looks cool af it's a batmobile ass looking motorbike and I think it fits Makoto I just... don't have much else to say. I don't really understand the color scheme for this one I'll be honest considering that up until now Makoto's personas have primarily been blue so this black and gold combo kinda comes outta nowhere, but it's fine. It's just missing something for me.

Al Azif: Star Destroyer. OK but in all seriousness I like the design. Again not much to say, the sleek technology + hacker vibes obviously fit Futaba very well and all in all I like it. Like Agnes it's just kinda there for me. I will say though it does feel like a Pokemon evolution more than a fusion between the previous two. Like the Salamence line (creature -> ball -> powerful creature). Does this mean anything.

Lucy: OK I promise I'm not running out of steam or anything but again, Lucy is kinda just there for me. I've honestly been sitting here looking at it like "it looks cool. It looks like an upgraded Miladay. It's cool. Why a spy I don't know but its cool". And that about sums it up to be honest. I get that the figure she is based off of was a spy but like why a spy for Haru. Was this just a case of them going "well it looks kinda like a modern business woman and looks like a spy which is what Lucy is based on so a spy it is". Is that what's happening here.

Hereward: And here he is the main man himself. By FAR my favorite third tier Persona. Sorry Celestine I love you but have you seen this man. This Persona design hits the nail on the head. Is it a good representation of how Akechi has changed as a character? Yes absolutely (dark hero vibes). Is it a good combination of the previous two Personas? Without a shadow of a doubt knocks it outta the park. Does it fit with the initial Persona unmasked theme? Yes yes it does. I also wanna mention that I like the idea that Akechi awoke to Loki and Robin Hood at the same time (full credit for that idea goes to whoever drew that phenomenal artwork I am so sorry I can't remember their url) and Hereward being a really good combination of both of them leans into that idea nicely (that's more a coincidence tbh cause I don't think it's explicitly stated which one came first). Also this quote from the wiki really sums up how good I think Hereward's design is:

"In a similar vein to how Robin Hood's design was largely inspired by comic book hero Superman, Hereward's design may have been inspired by Batman, hence the black armor and the bat wing-like protrusions on the back of his head. This may be an allusion to Akechi's role in the third semester, symbolizing his transformation from a seemingly-altruistic hero to a feared warrior seeking to see through his own personal justice. It also can be seen as a visual combination of Robin Hood and Loki, incorporating the bow and weapon of the former and the dark aesthetics of the latter."

Ella: um. Yeah I gotta be honest on this one, I don't feel... qualified? enough to give my thoughts on her because I feel like I haven't fully grasped Sumire as a character. I think the whole Cinderella persona thing she has gong on is great and it fits what I understand of her story but as for Ella's design. Why a wedding dress. Like why. It looks appealing but like??? I don't know tbh 💀💀

And yeah that about sums up all my thoughts. I will say that like I feel my thoughts will change once I get the full story of the third semester because already I feel like a lot of these designs are missing (or I'm missing the context) some connection to the actual story of the third semester. Like these personas are supposed to represent the sort of wrapping up of the thieves character arcs and I feel like that aspect is, while the idea of the personas being based off of their original personas leans into this, ultimately underused. I don't know maybe my thoughts will change once I play it properly. Uh hope you had fun reading this because I've been typing for like an hour no joke 💀😭

Hello there, so I saw your Louis and Hector post and it really got me thinking if Louis is really that different between Japanese and English. From everything I’ve been able to gather, whether it be support/bond conversations or his Ally Notebook, it seems to suggest that he’s still in general a people watcher just with a general preference towards women. The way I see it, the only really major difference between the two versions is that his preference is more clear in Japanese while in English it’s more subtle, but still present through a couple of his supports (particularly his C support with Chloé and B with Ivy), as well his personal skill. But even with that preference, he still very much has interest in watching men as well, what with his supports with Clanne and Zelkov, and of course his bond with Hector. There seems to be a consensus that Louis was meant to be a reverse Nina from Fates, and while there’s some sort of truth to that, i don’t think it’s an entirely accurate description. I say that because if Louis really was meant to be a reverse of Nina, then things like the aforementioned examples would come across as really odd and seemingly random. Plus I went through a admittedly rough translation of his Ally Notebook pages where it states that he always keeps an eye on his friends and enjoys seeing them get along, not necessarily specifying a particular gender. With this in mind, I take it that Louis’ particular preference was toned down or made more subtle in English as they didn’t want to give anyone the wrong idea about him, as his pretty strange hobby aside, he’s a very caring and thoughtful guy who just loves helping out his friends and wants nothing more than ensuring that they’re in good states of mind, which is a heavily recurring theme in his support conversations. But that’s just how I see Louis, I’m interested if you share any similar thoughts on this matter.

For me, Louis is in that category of Fire Emblem character that has existed mostly post-Awakening, where the writers wanted both a “joke character” and a “nuanced character” all rolled up in one package, and the two sides don’t always mesh so well, for better and for worse. In general, I’ve come to be neutral on it, because it’s simply one of Fire Emblem’s tropes at this point. He’s both “Ha ha creepy dude stares at women” and “sweet man who picks up on everything about everyone, men and women, because he’s wholesome and just wants his allies to be happy” all at once. I can both love him as a sweet caring friend to his allies, and think “wow, creeper” all at once. It’s Fire Emblem doing a Fire Emblem. The writers just write like that. I can wish FE’s sense of humor didn’t have to be like this, but I also know what to expect at this point.

So fun story, the first Louis support I happened to unlock was his one with Alear, and it took me nearly the entire C conversation to get why Alear was weirded out. And I was reading the Japanese version of the convo!

I assumed Louis was like this, vibing in social situations, until finally at the end of the C convo I said to myself, "Oh, that's what the game is getting at! He's kind of a creeper!" ...And that's my humorous story, that I didn't even get the joke that probably should have been obvious.

Like... people watching is super normal to a certain degree. Multiple people have explained to me that they like to sit in a crowd and not listen in on conversations or anything... especially when I was in college! The main dining hall was built into a slope, so there were three 'tiers' of seating, each one elevated slightly lower than the last. It was a common hobby to sit at the edge of the top tier, and just hang out and look at everyone in the 2 lower tiers for a while. I'm honestly a little surprised Treehouse didn't do more to tone down the “staring at women” side of Louis’ people-watching. Anon, you mentioned the Louis/Chloé supports, and they are worth bringing up again, because the localization really did nothing to change the weirdness of them, in my opinion.

Of course everyone will have their own reaction, but calling it a work of art to stare at the subtleties and nuances of women who might not know he's there... feels even more weird to me than the Japanese, where he directly says he likes watching women talk. The exact words of the conversation are different, sure, but I get the same feeling. 

As I’ve said before, I feel like certain groups of conversations get assigned to different staff, and the two (or more) translators/localizers don’t always meet up to make sure they are on the same page with the same character. Some chunks of the localized text feel like the localizers tried to make Louis’ people-watching more gender-neutral, and others feel like it's still very much a thing he mostly does to women. Just an observation, nothing to quote me on.

And so, I think that’s all I have to say on Louis for the moment! Thanks for the question anon, he is a character that makes for interesting discussion.

I don't love it when Finrod's portrayed as this perfect unproblematic cousin, or as holier-than-thou person, or as an optimistic ball of sunshine. My beef is probably with "holier-than-thou", mostly because I picture Finrod as someone who's pretty much able to see his own mistakes and to be fully aware of his wrongdoings. That's why I hate when C&C or, God forbid, Sauron are pictured as having moral high ground because "at least they're aware they did wrong things and aren't hypocritical"

nah yowapeda s5 was crazy. they just randomly cut out two characters and their race. they gave them superstar seiyuu too..

my personal theory is the network (it was airing on a different tv network this time too) really didnt like the gay yandere ish backstory and made them cut them at the last second... i mean it what makes the most sense. i wanna say it led to all the weird budget issues later too. but does that justify how bland the direction was too? like its the same director, but suddenly there was absolutely no dynamic camera whatsoever, shots were boring as hell so most races hit like wet noodle. seeing flashbacks from s4 made my stomach hurt from the difference

also no c part!!! that was honestly the worst part!!! yowapeda has always had a c part at the end of every episode for four seasons. did they have to scrap all of them bc the two cut characters cameo'd too much in them and they couldnt pick and choose or else itll look weird?

i remember it actually hit me really hard the first few episodes being bad because they replaced the relevant race with literal whos at such a critical point, and it had no impact whatsoever, and on top of that no funny c part... im not kidding, like i got genuinely depressed over it

the flashbacks and anything not involving racing were REALLY GOOD it was the usual yowapeda quality!!!

I hate how Boruto has made hospitals so stupidly useless. The other day I was on reddit and I saw a post saying "how would you rate the units of Konoha?" and they were all:

A-Tier: Hokage because he's the boss, advisor because Shikamaru helps Nauto, shadow Hokage because he investigates and Sensory Corps because Ino prevents enemies from coming.

B-Tier: Anbu because it keeps watch

C-Tier: Hospital because it's for some healing, etc

They're so wrong what the hell. The Shadow Hokage is not even a unit and he's actually the one that prevents enemies from coming to Konoha, the Sensory Corps only detect somebody (if they do) when they're already inside, they don't prevent shit they can't even sense right. Anbu on top? There isn't a single Anbu other than Sai and he's just clinging to Shikamaru all the time what is he doing please? They don't need to keep watch on Amado because Naruto lets him do as he pleases.

BUT the Medical Department is what maintains the Hokage, advisors, shadow Hokage, Sensory Corps, Anbu and every single ninja and civilian in top condition to do their job. Who's gonna treat the Hokage? Sakura and the hospital so he can keep doing his job. The hospital is A-Tier after the Hokage, it even says so in the official diagram of Konoha by Kishi.

They made Sakura the convenient healer that only puts her glowing hands to practice with a few characters when ACTUALLY when people invaded Konoha it's always the hospital being full of people, the one that carries the village is the health system in Boruto the movie and Pain arc. Ikemoto has completely destroyed it. They write her like what she does is the easiest thing in the world and she's still not around when the mcs are in hospitals.

The medical is the most important part in Konoha and in the real world people need to open their eyes and Ikemoto needs to stop hating on it.

What is Ikemoto hating on? I really don't know what you're talking about. How exactly is Ikemoto hating on hospitals and medical departments now? Why do some people just constantly need to complain about Ikemoto, saying how he hates this and he hates that, just because something isn't as prominent in the story as they want it to be? I really am tired of these accusations, my goodness.

The importance of the healers and hospitals has always been generally overlooked and underappreciated by the majority of fans in action shounens, that doesn't mean the authors hate these roles.

Tsunade and the medics were instrumental in keeping Choji and Neji alive following the Sasuke Retrieval mission, but did you hear the fans acknowledging this and and praising them for it? No.

During Pain's invasion, Sakura was shown in the hospitals healing an overwhelming number of people, but do the fans care? No. They instead call her useless and accuse her of only crying for Naruto to come and save them during the whole arc. Is it Kishi's fault that they ignore how busy she was in the hospital?

The number of people that Sakura and Tsunade saved during the War, including big names like the Kages, Shikamaru and Naruto and Sasuke themselves - Do the fans give a shit? Of course not, because to the average action shounen fan, a character's worth or importance hinges on their utility in direct combat. Hence, what the fans tend to remember about Sakura during the war, was her "uselessness" by not destroying Madara's Rinnegan, rather than her numerous significant contributions on the medical side.

Please direct your anger and criticisms towards the fans who are actually deserving of it for their continuous dismissal of the contributions made by the medical teams, or at the very least, please don't jump to conclusions and say that Ikemoto hates the medical departments because that's a baseless accusation. People do need to open their eyes, but Ikemoto isn't the one who's shutting them.

1) the beach! any beach! the god tier beach fave would be the beach I'd play on as a child staying at my grandparent's summer home! it's the NOSTALGIA, you feel? A couple weekends ago, we were by Lake Huron and found a quaint little side beach entrance and it was actually SO CUTE and also, I was serving looks (and so was the fluffs!):

2) the willow tree that used to be on the lot my OTHER grandparent's cottage is on. i loved running under there and hanging out under the boughs, but my aunts always fretted bc it was very close to the road and they couldn't see me! I also loved playing on the water tank garden, but we were never allowed up there (which only made me want to climb up there more >:).

But it was a giant (to me at the time) mound of dirt put over the water tank with the flat stone platform on the top of the dirt, the water tank access on top of it. There were little stepping stones leading up and they, of course, faced the road so the water truck could fill the tank! anyway bc of the road proximity it was yet ANOTHER place I wasn't allowed to go but by GOD did i LOVE IT

3) on the way TO said cottages, there was a little garden/statue store that had a side room called "the secret garden". it was short, but LONG, and had cute little statues with little flowers and stepping stones and was painted very colourfully. i loved going in it and running up and down the room and pretending it was my very own secret garden!!!

4) Niagara-on-the-Lake/St Jacob's are tied for 4th. I love me a little town with shops and markets 🥰🥰🥰

5) numero five is the hill Forth Henry is on at night! Lately when Richard's been having a bad time (breakdown) we go for a lil drivey to the hill and breakdown while staring down at the city. It's nice!!! The ghosts don't even bug us but the random people ALSO on the hill sure do! It's like, y'all, this is OUT breakdown time?? GET BENT

We've made it to Part 4 which is where I stopped watching like 3 episodes in so it'll be exciting to get to part 5. I hear she sees the mermaid again and that's got me SO excited for her 🥰🥰.

Danny himself of Danny Phantom fame. Jack Frost, of course. From tsc3, though I am fond of rotg Jack Frost. But like, in an "I want to protect him and see him engrow" kind of way?????? (if you haven't watched the jenna marbles video involving a comment that was like "you need to water your cermit so he can engrow" you need to. It's hilarious. Very quotable. idk if her videos are still up. but if they are. that ones a good one.)

Korra from Legend of Korra. She is the BAE. UGH. Most character of all time, she's EVERYTHING. I love her SO MUCH. Bolin was a fave from that too! He's just a silly little guy!!!!!

And Peridot from Steven Universe, she's ALSO a funny little guy. Her arc was EVERYTHING to me and I do a pretty alright peridot impression (it's fun to call the husbando a clod and have him cackle bc the peridot voice gets him good >:)

And Oliver Putnam, he's gd hilarious. The ladder bit in yesterday's episode had me cackling like a madwoman!

-i once had a v bad day at home first thing in the morning and got to school sobbing and richard spent the entirety of our homeroom outside the classroom comforting me and it was one of the nicest things anyone has ever done for me 🥰 he is very comforting!! and soft!!!!

-when i saw the very first fanart lmelodie ever did for crystal springs. it was like, the day before richard and i's 9 or 10th anniversary??? and when I saw it I was like HOLY SHIT THAT'S SO SWEET. then more came. and more. and then you messaged me like "whoops, my hand slipped1 here's MILLER'S LAW" and that is a very nice memory that still has me like, heart eyes TO THIS DAY (party city pimp lives in my head rent free)

-when I was 16 we drove from Mississauga, ON all the way to FLORIDA to go to Disney. Halfway there I was SO grumpy, and we were in One of the Carolinas, at a pioneer village kind of thing (which I LOVE, LOVE GOING TO REENACTMENT HISTORY VILLAGES) and my gOD was I grumpy. My dad had the camera and kept trying to get a photo of me being grumpy but every time. EVERY TIME he moved the camera my way I KNEW and would spin about with a big old smile. There's one where I was holding a map with a little hat on and he tried to sneak a photo of grumpy pants Dani and I looked up and did a lil smile and he was like I THOUGHT I HAD YOU and I was like GUESS AGAIN, POPS. that's a fun memory, easily top 5

-Richard's reaction to my dress and everything during our first look! And ALSO his face when I told him in our vows that he's the blaise to my winter. Killed him dead >:) (metaphorically, lol)

-the new year's eve that ana messaged me like, TEN YEARS OR SO AGO asking if she could borrow Jacqueline :3. It was like, kind of an annoying new years eve bc my parents were like NO FUN ALLOWED. SIT HERE WITH US UNTIL THE COUNTDOWN. thankfully, i had a laptop! and yes, the parental units did complain but i had 0 interest in the show leading up to the countdown. Anyway, while sitting and waiting there was a pm on ff dot net from Ana asking about Jacqueline and well, we've been buds since! :)

For the send me a character, how about Lucifer?

Lucifer <333 I want to ki** him <33 (Does that stand for kiss, kick, or kill?? who knows 😳)

First impression:

I loved Lucifer at first, but like? unironically? I tend to go for the serious types, so he was one of the characters that caught my eye immediately upon starting the game. (Didn’t help that he was one of the main characters being compared to Jumin Han, and 1) I was just coming out of my MysMe phase and 2) I love Jumin (sorta) so YEAH I was conditioned to love Lucifer from the start).

However, there’s a bit of a caveat to the character type that I like. Although serious character types of some of my favorites, dominant characters give me the ick. Unfortunately, serious characters tend to me more dominant in the dating sim/otome/visual novel genre, and Lucifer didn’t seem like much of an exception at first. But I still held hope! After all, MC and Lucifer just met, and they immediately started disrupting the family dynamic. Of course, he’s going to be using intimidation to scare them off.

Then, Season 1 ended and Lucifer’s kiss scene grossed me out to the point where I replayed that lesson just to friendzone him and put my arms around his shoulder lol. After that, I started massively disliking him. His farewell put a nasty taste in my mouth, so I was a little salty haha.

Impression now:

BUT THEN SEASONS 2 AND 3 CAME IN CLUTCH WITH PATHETIC LUCIFER CONTENT, AND I COULDN’T BE HAPPIER.

Anyway, now I’d say that I still like Lucifer a lot! He’s not my absolute favorite anymore, but he’s in my favorite...batch? I mean, I don’t have a numbered list for my favorite characters, but I do have a group of characters that are my favorites, characters that I love, characters that I like, etc. Lucifer (among others) is in the top tier.

Now, I’d say that I have a love/hate dynamic sort of thing with him. I hate how arrogant and cocky he can be (sometimes...), but I love the moments where he’s a lot more submissive and blushy :)

He’s definitely and enigma, and it’s fun to explore his character! 10/10 maybe a quick kiss after a quick kick in the stomach

Favorite moment:

This is hard!! BUT I’ve boiled it down to two main ones.

I ADORE Lesson 22-C where Lucifer’s on the Hellfire Newt Syrup and says/does things he wouldn’t usually say so freely. To be honest, I don’t really like aphrodisiac tropes because...they’re weird, but this moment is great, and I wouldn’t trade it for the world. <33

The fact that MC can call Lucifer cute, and he doesn’t even rebuff! In fact, he implies that he kind of, sort of, likes it!!!!!!  

Also, the master bit <3 My jaw was on the floor. Nothing more needs to be said about this tbh!!

Although, the kissing scene was nice (greedy, greedy demon stealing more kisses than was asked), I have to say that I like the option where you hug him a little more. Granted, it’s less romantic, but Lucifer just sounds so...sad? Maybe even a little pathetic, if you will. The guy is always protraying himself as confident and cocky (and he is), but to see that sliver of genuine vulnerability was nice.

ANYWAY, I ALSO LIKE LESSON 54-12 FOR OBVIOUS REASONS.

I love how Asmo and Barbatos are more or less like “just ask Lucifer to give you his tail. he’s so in love with you, he’d probably jump off a cliff if you asked” and they’re 100% right. <3

Getting the opportunity to pull Lucifer into MC’s lap when, before, it’s usually the other way around, was so nice <333333 please let Lucifer sit in MC’s lap more often, devs, I need it. 

I also am obsessed with the way he blushes and is at a loss for words when he was so cocky 5 seconds before. Where is that arrogant attitude now, Lucifer? Hm? Did it go into your intimacy level?? 👁 

Too bad Lucifer’s furry costume ruins the moment a little. It’s hard to take him seriously when I’m too busy thinking about what his fursona would look like.

Idea for a story:

I love the idea of MC hating Lucifer’s guts because, let’s face it, he’s kind of an ass, especially in the first season. He tries to kill MC like?? Three times??? And the only reason he doesn’t go through with it is because of his servitude to Diavolo. Honestly, canon MC is a saint for forgiving him lol.

Anyway, a specific story I have in mind is MC bringing Lucifer a cup of  tea while he’s working with his office. It starts off super sweet with MC saying stuff like “Oh, I know how you’ve been super stressed out lately, so I decided to bring you a drink to help you relax!” and Lucifer is like “Wow, thank you for your thoughtfulness xoxo”

But then, Lucifer takes a sip, pauses, then smiles and asks where they got the cyanide from. And MC says something akin to “Haha what do you mean cyanide? That’s crazy how would I even get cyanide? hahaha”

“...”

“...”

“...”

*sigh* “...I got it from Solomon.”

“Did he tell you that human-world poison doesn’t affect demons?”

“No, but that explains why he was laughing the whole time.”

I’d have to think of a reason why MC would hate Lucifer so much that they would go so far as to kill him though lmao. Maybe the story is set in Season 1 after Lucifer’s first murder attempt, and they’re still a little salty. Or perhaps MC is a demon hunter, and they’re just doing their job. Shrug. Either way, I think this could be a funny idea.

Unpopular opinion:

So, I’m the most boring person on the planet, and I don’t really have a lot of unpopular opinions about Lucifer? I feel like no matter what I say, one opinion may be unpopular with one type of Lucifer stans but very popular with other Lucifer stans.

Favorite relationship:

I feel like saying MC and Lucifer would be cheating, so I won’t say that. (Though, I technically just did).

My all-time favorite would be his relationship with Mammon. I mean, yeah, they do give each other a hard time a lot, like, a lot, but it’s evident that Mammon and Lucifer rely on one another so much and I <3 Love it. 

Lucifer has a soft spot for Mammon, and it shows, especially in comparison to how he treats his other brothers lol. He may tease him from time to time (and downright is an asshole in others), but there is a reason that Mammon respects Lucifer the most. :)

Favorite headcanon:

This isn’t very interesting, but I like the idea that there are some nights where Lucifer is so distracted by thoughts of you that he can’t get much work done. It never got that bad when you lived in the House of Lamentation because he could always just text you and have you hang with him while he worked.

But after you left? Oh...there would be nights where Lucifer wouldn’t get anything done. He’s too busy staring at the mountain of paperwork, wondering what you’d be doing this hour. If you also missed him as badly as he’d miss you.

It didn’t happen often enough for it to be an issue, but Diavolo would probably inquire why some of Lucifer’s work seemed a little more sloppy recently or even turned in later than usual. Lucifer wouldn’t have an answer: how could he explain to the future demon king that he was so busy thinking about you that the mere idea of doing something as dull as paperwork seemed an impossible and daunting task?

Barbatos would shoot Lucifer a knowing look, then lead Diavolo into the side of the room to have a private chat. Lucifer would rather go back to the Celestial Realm than learn what Barbatos told his master, but he did notice how Diavolo stopped asking him those types of questions after than so *wink* *wink* *nudge* *nudge*.
