Germany Confirms $28 Million Settlement with Families of Munich Attack Victims
The German government confirmed Friday that families of 11 Israeli athletes killed by Palestinian militants at the 1972 Munich Olympics will receive a total of 28 million euros (dollars) in compensation. The figure — which includes payments already made — had previously been reported by German and Israeli media but not officially communicated by the government. It’s a significant increase from…

Damn South Africa spared nothing. They're showing the iof soldiers singing "we've got one law, wipe out the seed of Amalek"
"There are no uninvolved civilians!"
They are really broadcasting EVERYTHING.
Spill everything!!! Let them see what these colonisers are doing online .

current count 9:30 11/10/2023
official numbers
Israel
1200 dead
2900 injured
100-200 held by various groups. Hamas claims for a 100, the Jihad claims for 30
Gaza
950 dead
5000 injured
190000 displaced (Amnesty)
1500 dead Hamas operatives (according to the IDF this is the body count that was found withing Israeli borders)
notes and unconfirmed numbers
several hundreds of tons of explosive have been dropped on Gaza- there is no official new number, but from my calculation, over 2000 targets were hit. There is nonstop bombing of Gaza.
Israeli authorities have publicly told Gazians to flee to Egypt for their safety. there are reports that Hamas is ordering citizens to stay around places that are known to be marked to be bombed. Egypt shown displeasure with the idea that they will have to take the fleeing Gazians in, and told Israel off for telling the Gazians to flee to Egypt. The Rafah Border Crossing is being opened and closed periodically due to Egypt and Israeli actions.
Gazians are struggling to get people out of the rubble- therefore numbers are probably bigger.
displaced Israelis- there is no official count.
still no official number of captured Hamas operatives.
Israeli counts (including kidnapped) include foreign citizens and Palestinians that are Israeli residence/citizens. unknown at the moment about foreign casualties inside of Gaza. there are foreign citizens in Gaza.
Israel shut both electricity and water to Gaza, Egypt is being talked with in order to arrange humanitarian aid.
Hamas reported that at least 4 prisoners were killed as a result of the bombing- I don’t have confirmation of more.
Hamas issued Monday night a warning that if Israel will not stop attacking they will start killing captives- no new information in the matter.
Lebanon situation is messy. The Jihad and Hezbollah on one side and the IDF on the other are attacking each other with gunfire and missile fire were exchanged. Unknown number of casualties- looking for more.
yesterday Hamas gave out a telegram warning to Ashkelon citizens to get out of the city before 17:00, at that time they started a barrage of rockets. the warning was not covered in Israeli media (at least that I could see).
there are still attempts to enter Israel by Hamas operatives, most are killed immediately.
for those using my count posts to follow the situation, sorry for not doing an evening recap yesterday, the fog of war was thick and I was struggling to verify stuff

HOT TAKE
Hot take: 9/11 was NOT an inside job, it was the Mossad that set it up.
Cui bono? Who benefits?
The Israelis did.
What was happening in 2001?
The Palestine issue had been making progress for the last several years, the world was paying attention to resolving the issue peacefully.
Then 9/11 happened.
And the Israelis instigated the United States to spend the next 23 years attacking all of Israel's regional adversaries; Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Libya, and the US was also being instigated to attack Iran as well, and still is to this day.
So again we ask, cui bono?
Who benefited from 9/11?
We say the Israelis did.

Being Jewish with dual US-Israel citizenship, having family in Israel, being left-wing, and having an MA in Middle Eastern Studies AND dealing with the events of October 7th onward has felt like being the most drunk sober person in the room/somehow drunk and sober at the same time. Kind of want to scream, but also need to keep my wits because too many people are being stupid/having the worst takes.

50 years ago, on September 5-6, 1972, 11 Israelis were killed in an attack known as the Munich Massacre. During the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich, members of a Palestinian terrorist group stormed the Olympic Village, killing 2 members of the Israeli delegation, and taking 9 more hostage.
One of the athletes present that day was runner and racewalker Shaul Ladany who, along with 5 others, was able to escape from their apartment. Born in Belgrade, Yugoslavia in 1936, Ladany fled to Budapest with his family after their home was bombed by the Luftwaffe in 1941. His parents tried to hide him in a monastery, but they were captured and sent from the Budapest ghetto to the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp in 1944. Ladany spent 6 months there before being rescued on a train to Switzerland.
He immigrated to Israel in 1948 and went on to become a world champion, world record holder, two-time Olympian, and a renowned professor of industrial engineering. Today, Ladany is still an active racer, participating in marathons and completed the Maccabiah Fun Run in July. The 86 year old visits the graves of his Israeli teammates in Tel Aviv every year on September 6th.
May the memories of the 11 Israelis killed in the Munich Massacre - David Berger, Ze’ev Friedman, Yossef Gutfreund, Eliezer Halfin, Yossef Romano, Amitzur Shapira, Kehat Shorr, Mark Slavin, Andre Spitzer, Yakov Springer, Moshe Weinberg - forever be a blessing.

the Israeli government is a terrorist regime btw‼️‼️
Tumblr media
ID: A cropped screenshot from Google. The search bar reads "terrorist definition". There is a highlighted part that reads "criminal acts, including against civilians, committed with intent to cause death or serious bodily injury, or taking of hostages, with the purpose to provoke a state of terror in the general public or a group of persons or particular persons, intimidate a population or compel a government or an international..." It is cited from www.unodoc.org. End ID
we recognize ISIS as terrorists. the death toll of 9/11 was less than 3,000. so why isn't the Israeli government recognized as the same? they've killed over 7,000, likely close to--if not over-- 8,000 Palestinian people. they've cut off food, water, fuel, and all other necessary things for the Gaza Strip. they even cut off the internet, preventing Gazan people from communicating with the rest of the world and calling for help. they can't even call ambulances. ISIS didn't do that.
from the river to the sea, Palestine will be free. 🇵🇸

Lmfao my mom was getting on me abt not having enough to do this upcoming semester so I decided ah okay I'll add another class. And that's perfectly fine. But the one I picked results in the majority of my schedule being generally unaffected and still lax, but my Thursday being absolutely fucked.
For reference, on every other day I'd spend like less than four hours in class/commuting(anywhere from zero hours to almost four), but Thursday, its almost 9 hours combined 😭 which is like fine with me, but I think ill despise thursdays after this, AND MY BIRTHDAY IS ON A THURSDAY :(
#she doesnt like the fact that im practically free on Fridays#<- online class that doesnt meet on that day#so ah i hope this balances out sjkfkflg#the way scheduling in my school works has such a weird affect#my mon/wens/fri are gonna be so chill and then tues/thurs is just....something#it makes it worse bcs one of my classes only takes place for a section of the semester#and that class is mon/wens so im only gonna be online after that#though i still think ill have to meet w that professor bcs there is in fact reasoning for that class to be so short lasting#but tues and thurs is just stuff that ill never get any reprieve from lol#four classes in one day. we'll see how it goes 🥰🥰#also thurs will be interesting bcs i will have two classes just abt middle eastern politics#i came across a class on the arab-israeli conflict and wanted to take it bcs its obv very relevant rn#and then the one i just scheduled is also abt middle eastern politics so i really am going to be thru the ringer#not that its a bad thing at all!! i just mean its interesting how relevant this semester will be and how im just getting intensely informed#anyways i think the way i schedule would be a nightmare to anyone else#i try to schedule every class after 12(or 11 at least) so then all of them are crammed right after one another#and i wake up an hour before class and leave myself that meager time to get ready and commute lmfao#my friend asked me when i eat lunch. and im like uh ;;; never? 🥰#lol dw i do eat but like i treat my time on campus like how can i pack this as densely as possible#i dont like sitting around by my lonesome it makes me depressed dhfkkg#also i think i will actually kms with all the writing im goong to have to do this semester#that is my reasoning to my mom abt why she shouldn't be pissed at my supposed lack of activity#like im taking so much thats emphasized with writing. dont worry i will be in fact budy#*busy#catie.rambling.txt
