The Best Friends Deserve Bester

Chuck Taylor and Trent Beretta have been teaming together as The Best Friends since August 2013. In January 2014, they won PWG's Dynamite Duumvirate Tag Team Title Tournament, becoming number one contenders to the PWG World Tag Team Championship. They lost their subsequent challenge against The Young Bucks at Mystery Vortex II. The only other time Chuck and Trent have competed for those titles was at 2019's Hand of Doom where they lost to The Rascalz. What that means is that out of seven teams who won the PWG DDT4 between 2007 and 2015, The Best Friends are the only ones to have never held the PWG World Tag Team Championship.

Alright, well maybe they had better luck in NJPW. Trent's a four-time IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champion with Rocky Romero. If Roppongi Vice can succeed, then I'm sure The Best Friends can... come fourth in the B Block in the 2017 World Tag League and finish eighth overall in the 2018 League.

No, that make sense. Best Friends as a team have always been predominantly American based. What about their ROH run in 2017? I know they had a few title matches there.

Win w/Orange Cassidy, Eddie Kingston & Penta vs. Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, Wheeler Yuta, and Proud & Powerful in Stadium Stampede at All In 2023 (the biggest of big wins, another four-and-a-half stars)

Loss to Dark Order in ROH Number One Contender's Battle Royal (great way to follow up that momentum after All In)

Loss to The Righteous in ROH Number One Contender's Fatal Four Way (also featured The Hardys and The Kingdom) (again, great follow up)

Obviously there's been more matches in between the ones I highlighted. The Best Friends have had some good moments here and there but overall, it feels like there's been missed opportunities. No follow up after the initial Parking Lot Brawl. No Trios Championship run. Lost in the shuffle again following All In.

The Best Friends deserve bester.

Are you certain Sam doesn’t have a house in LA. In the newest article in departures magazine it was mentioned he has a house in LA despite he’s not sold on the city. Is it not reliable information? A known blogger keeps saying her sources told her Sam purchased a house back in 2019 and now she’s being like “you see I was right about him having a place this entire time” it has been confirmed by Sam himself.

Sigh... deep sigh... Yes I am certain. Sam does not, I repeat, not, for the people in the back, Sam does not own a house in LA.

I don't know what he told that editor of Departures or if she misinterpreted it, but he doesn't own a house in LA.

And most certainly not since 2019 like that known blogger claims without any proof or evidence. She is not right, she had it wrong all the time. And yes, I sat on my hands, I'm so tired sounding like a broken record. I provided all the proof already so often. Since May 2022 I posted and revealed the house, not the exact address. Please look it up.

And no, the house was NOT purchased by the GGC/MPC in 2021. The owners of the house, and I have looked it up, and checked it multiple times since then, are AN and his (ex) wife. It's documented. You can look it up. Here's the screenshot:

Sam has always stayed either at Shutters for short stays or at airbnb's prior. Just look it up, find the Youtube video of the podcast with Cask Chaser September 2021

airbnb in Malibu, he even mentions it in the video. Also mentioned is how he had not the whisky samples (and candy) at the airbnb. They turned up a little later in a story.... at the HH house

And while the house is often used as filming location for MPC videos and promo for the booze.... it isn't solely used for that (as this known blogger claims).... remember the tv set, and the bracelet he wore under it?

That's the bedroom. Now why would he sit in AN's house in the bedroom watching telly to show how his movie is number 3 on Netflix? Tell me.... and if you're not convinced it is the bed room, look that video up of AN after Valbo stayed there as well not so long ago.

And this was his airbnb in 2020, remember, when he was 'brought to America' for many commitments...?

And yes, that Sam is SH, as confirmed by pics of the airbnb he posted himself or showed like in the interview.

Now tell me that's smoke and mirrors, he's writing a review for his own place? Yeah, why he stayed at different places as well? Or was that also just for promo. And btw. the review can only be seen when logged in at the airbnb site.

And yes, the final piece is right there in the book. He stayed at his friend/business partners house in the HH. Why would he stay there having a miserable Christmas, with an injured knee and all. If you know the house, there huge stair to enter the house, many steps... right of course he would stay there and leave his 'own property' empty, or whatever.... doesn't make sense....

So there is that. All the people claiming other things, show me the evidence please. I showed you the evidence. I love a good challenge, but for the love of us all... don't start your sentence with maybe and come up with all kind of scenarios where you have not one shred of evidence or proof of concept. I'm just at the point that I don't care for it anymore. Believe what you want, for me there is more than enough evidence to be convinced of my believes.

For your SMG34 headcanon who was the first one to fall in love and when did those feelings turn mutual?

Okay I think I might share some of that smg4 episodes here-

(COUGH this is gonna take too long than just a simple answer. Forgive me-)

I'd be likingly to say that Smg4 felt like he and three somehow 'linked' together after their first encounter. In this time- four thought it was nothing and is just a shove-

But when coming to the episode "The Monster"

Three and four actually made a basic contact with each other. Four asking how Three's day was like- DUDE- HE'S LITERALLY YOUR ENEMY... but three responds back boring than usual.

Then this was their first interaction with each other.

In WOTFI 2012

Three asks four if he really thinks coming to hell would solve all of his problems. Then four responding in agreement. "Yes actually, seeing your face and thinking where did my life go wrong"

He wanted to destroy four so bad until mario saves the day- he never interracted to them after that.

In S.M.G. club. Smg3 happens to be the one who works there. I mean- a CLUB WITH A WHOLE LOOKALIKES OF SMG4?????????????????

WHAT NOW??? But as mario left three the scene ends there from his appearance.

The Mystery of the missing white and blue

This EPISODE is where Smg3 is probably the FIRST one to actually reveal is slightest hint of crush for smg4 when he said he would be his "girlfriend" and he would be the "boyfriend" now I may have thought about it- what if after his interraction with four during The Monster episode is actually where he started to consider having him on part of his life?

Enemy or not.

He worked in a literal look alikes of four in the club. Did he have an obsession with four that much?

Maybe he started to have that thing planted and started growing a tiny sprout during the missing white and blue?

Maybe he was trying to show he wasnt that mean and evil. (Literally saved four's life and everyone here)

In Birthday Freakout

Enzo's birthday- Four asks three "you're gay for me?" Then three punches him out of the room.

Three does change little by little from wotfi 2018 where he called up as a certified psychiatrist, Three's appearance was shown after getting his award for saving the universe and without his help- Waluigi couldve destroyed everyone.

During the episode Mario's spicy day

Four thought three has got something from his sleeve and wrecked the whole place that three worked hard for down.

This made three so sad- and it really did broke his heart seeing the reason why he maybe was wrong to actually change into a good person. And to actually have this deep feeling for Four.

This changed three's perspective change back from where they used to be enemies again. Theres how you got 2020 of wotfi

Back on his world of dead memes- he actually changed- he gave up on destroying four (again) and actually calmed himself down

Perfectly balanced episode is where his feelings with four actually started to plant its seed again. Tho its not visible but it is seen on the 10th year anniversary where he calls him out for a baka- right after when smg4 calls him a tsundere.

And there got the episode after smg0's appearance. MARIOS OKAY⁷

Thats where the two had held hands with each other for the first time and actually the part of also training their meme powers together. (To work it off- from the other episode where smg3 sacrificed terrence in exchange for his meme energy to transport into mario for an escape) he didnt let or didnt used the choice of using anti-meme energy.

He didnt want him and four to go insane even tho the power he gain attraction to. He simply gave out terrence...

Ykw? Theres just too much- lets just include the main one. Mario does tiktok challenges where three and four kissed off screen. (i hate susan for that)

All i want for christmas is mario to FREAKING SHUT UP

Is the episode where smg3 finally has that smile on his face being there with smg4- thats the moment he got mutually connected to him and probably well- starts to have more interactions with eachother offscreen.

Smg4 felt like him and three were linked with each other after the first contact. And Three starting to have a small crush on four during/after his job on thhe S.M.G. club.

I have a feeling that he was slowly trying to change after his constant fails from finishing off four with his stupid evil plans.

And starts to change for a chance to make it up for a fresh start.

Three losing his feelings for four but ends up right back again after the arc and does change. He starts to actually have a mutual connection with four.

(Now for four I was thinking that it was his late-turn to actually have feelings for three after wotfi 2021 sorry i couldnt add more because these two are so gay that I could barely say anything-)

I'm sorry if this has already been asked and answered, maybe you're sick of this question already but...any chance of a book or series about our Young Wizards all grown up? I'd love to see them all 20 or 30 years later, mentoring but still learning about wizardry and themselves. Growing up is intense, but being an adult has its own staggering challenges.

Thank you. I've loved this series for as long as I can remember. I always sob (in the best of ways) reading the end of High Wizardry.

Meanwhile: there's already a story set in the New Millennium timeline that does this... at least a little bit: because it's set in 2020, during early-peak COVID. And the participants who (in the main NME timeline) are all stlll halfway through their teens, in this work are in their mid-twenties... and (relationship-wise) in a whole different place.

HP Rec Fest, Day 12

Today’s prompt challenges me once again as I never rarely start fics before they’re completed. By the Grace was the last WIP I followed since the beginning so it’s been a few years, but I’m always willing to make an exception for 25 Days of Drarry and @hprecfest gave me some extra motivation to find another advent fic to follow. This time I don’t have rare pair WIPs to share so I’m reccing two Drarry WIPs, one fairly recent and the other a 2020 fic I’ve been obsessed with ever since day one. Thrilled to be reccing two of my favourite authors here, cannot praise these two gems enough:

A Christmas Miracle by @sleepstxtic (E)

Draco is a world-renowned Magi-Diagnostician and Harry is a Cursebreaking Healer, both working in St. Mungo's. They're not-quite-friends, not-quite-lovers, who argue at work and have sex on the weekends. And they're both fine with it, thank you very much. But when a mysterious attack in the hospital leaves Draco trapped in a coma, Harry must do all he can to save him. All the while, an inexplicable, deadly, children's illness is spreading through wizarding London. Oh, and there's some Time Magic thrown into the mix.

just look at that summary! this fic was made for me and after reading the first few paragraphs (such a delightful opening scene!) I knew I’d be breaking my no wip rule and I regret nothing. that, and I also happen to be a slut for work colleagues slash fuck buddies, and Kat delivers in spades as per 😌 this fic is a mix of my fave things like competent Healer!Draco, time travel magic (!!!), case fic, delicious banter between this insufferable Draco and charming Harry. I’m having so much fun and can’t wait to see where this is going!

In the aftermath of an apocalypse, Harry receives an order to find and bring Draco Malfoy nearly a thousand miles, to the tenuous safety of Hogwarts. But more than distance separates them from their goal. The world has fallen, and death is hungry.

I cannot begin to describe how obsessed I am with this wip. even if it never gets finished it will have been so so worth it because this right here is one of the most vivid, creative and impressive world buildings I’ve ever seen. the urgent and dangerous atmosphere is superb and I love love love how Harry and Draco find solace in each other while facing a grim and terrifying inferi apocalypse. brilliant storytelling and delicious slow burn with creative magic, tender romance and heart stopping fight-or-flight sequences. a masterpiece!

Luckily, he comes across the Dalton Doggy dog bakery, which is run by Blaine and Cooper Anderson. Cooper’s a mess, but Blaine manages to charm Kurt. Will Kurt be able to keep it professional?

A take on the "prince/king!Blaine and prince/king!Kurt are getting married and have to do it while naked in front of their loyal subjects" trope. It’s pure crack taken seriously. I’m blaming the heat. The fic started as this wisp of an idea and a single funny Kurt line. It was supposed to all be fast paced and instead sometimes dissolves into a bit of world building, exposition, and Kurt feelings. I do try my best and hope that at least some of the jokes and humor land. It also developed a full blown plot that has a beginning and an end.

Kurt and Blaine ask Caphriel to make the decision about where they go next. He chooses a lifetime where Kurt and Blaine will have to navigate a situation they've not yet been in. They'll have to work through loss and betrayal and ultimately, their bond will be stronger as a family because of it.

Like I said already, I graduated high school this year. So naturally, because I'm somehow both lazy and busy at the same time, I don't draw anything for the occasion like I wanted to until the literal DAY before I start college. (Yeah, I'm not joking- my first day of college is tomorrow.)

Just because I've come this far since I joined Wattpad as a 7th grader doesn't mean I know how I did it. Oh, wait- yes I do. I do know. I guess I don't know my own brain. Anyway, it's because I had, and still do, a burning desire to reach out to you and tell you about all the silly little stuff I had on my mind. I also wanted to get to know people all around the cyber world who liked the same stuff I liked. (I hope I can find someone who does in my art college.) I wanted y'all to know that Unikitty and Minecraft: Story Mode were (and still are) my two most favorite things ever. For months, I begged my parents for it, and I eventually got it for Christmas. Over the years, I've come to like more shows, games and movies. I even realized that I liked doing musical theater, too. Since I joined Wattpad, I've expanded my posting to DeviantArt, this site, YouTube, and more. I've probably told you all of this many times before, but I say it for a reason.

As I also said already, high school was as fun of an experience as it was... interesting. I couldn't finish my freshman year, and I missed my entire sophomore year, and if you survived 2020, you probably know why. I still passed, though. I think that junior and senior year made up for that. I was in the school musical both of those years, I got to attend my first prom junior year, and I went to Thespian Fest senior year.

Maybe the real high school experience was the friends we made along the way, as I've joked. But I wanted to surround myself with people I could get together with. As SpongeBob said, "I only want to hang out with my friends." And I did, 'cause we made every day the best day ever, especially the night we graduated. (The trampoline park we went to afterwards had some killer chicken tenders!) I took one of my friends to see Elemental before she went out of state for her college. I still keep in touch with a lot of them. Still, I'm really gonna miss everyone, and I wish them luck in their future endeavors.

As soon as school let out, my family took me on a trip to celebrate the fact that I graduated, and I made a video about it. You can watch it on my channel if you'd like.

But, I digress! There are a bunch of people here who I've just gotta show my gratitude for. You guys are part of why I keep going in life.

Ok then, I saw someone asking for an in-depth Carlos and Lando friendship analysis earlier so since I’m here from the beginning in 2019, this is my rent that I had ready in my phone notes for a while. When I see Carlos and Lando relationship compared with others I have to laugh bc I know there’s so much people who never lived the carlando teammates era and can’t even remotely understand the bond they had (and still have). The evenings spent at Carlos’ place, the Christmas shopping with Isa, the way their rooms in the motorhome were practically two in one bc Carlos was ALWAYS in Lando’s. The way they were sharing the same plate of food even when Covid was around, the nights watching films together (with the video projector and the deck chairs stolen from outside during Austria 2020), THAT night in Mexico 2019 when they were dancing together behind the dj console. The secret mini golf in each other hotel rooms bc they couldn’t stay in the same room during the pandemic. The days after Carlos’ first podium, when they shared every fucking day after Brasil GP together bc Carlos brought Lando with him EVERYWHERE, even at his personal trainer’s place at dinner. The Carlos’ birthday spent playing golf just the two of them. The week of Lando’s 22nd birthday spent in the same holiday home in Brasil. The fact that Lando Norris is the only fucking face appearing on Carlos’ nightstand in his bedroom in Madrid. The fact that Carlos girlfriend only follows Carlos and Lando as drivers. The fact that Carlos’ mum hugged lando like he was his son after Abu Dhabi 2021. I can’t even put into words what they have lived together. They were not just two teammates getting along or being fun in the team challenges. They were two people sharing their lives and wanting to spend their free time together (in an healthy environment bc McLaren had nothing and nothing to lose). And you can hardly or impossibly replicate that.

sorry i meant to translate this earlier... but my eyes were having issues. they're still feeling a tad irritated though they're significantly better compared to when it started last saturday though.

Anyway, since this was content from one of Otomate's website, i have made this post un-bloggable (standard for me to do that when it's something from one of their websites), and I made a few adjustments to this based on the what names some of the characters use to address one another in the game... not sure if those changes are completely accurate since I haven't touched CxM for a while.
