Why any person who says we don't need gun control is a fucking idiot
When I was thirteen, at the end of the day, my middle school went into a real lockdown. Now, we'd had practiced this a thousand times and thought about it a dozen more, and yet every person in my class barely followed protocol further than getting away from the doors and huddling together.
This was the spring of 2013, so Sandy Hook, where actual children, so much younger than us, were shoot and killed and absolutely nothing changed; was still fresh in all our minds. And I can tell you. Even though we laughed, and even though we tried to keep the mood in that room light, every single kid in that room at barely 2pm on a Friday had to rapidly comes to terms with the possibility of our own deaths.
The longer the lockdown went on, the more scared we all got. I saw my classmates and my friends call their parents, some of them almost crying, to tell them that they loved them, letting them know what was happening, asking for comfort. I remember texting my own mother; "there's an intruder in the school and we've been in lockdown for the passed fifteen minutes, we're all really scared," before ending it with, "I love you."
The lockdown lasted past the end of the school day, and by that time, we were all throughly terrified. My middle school had three seperate schools on three floors. Mine was the third. I distinctly remember being thirteen and thinking; if there is a gunman, we're on the top floor, we're trapped up here and we'll all die. My friends agreed.
Eventually the lockdown ended, and we all came out safe in the end. But even though no crazed gunman came barging at our door, the fact that the mere idea of that happening was not only so accessible but plausible is the problem. The fact that a classroom of thirteen year olds had to call their parents in fear to say their final goodbyes is the problem. The reality of fucking children having to face their own mortality in the one place on earth that is supposed to be safe for them is the problem. And that, even if there's no gunman, seeing mass shooting after mass shooting gets to us. It's lodges itself in our psyche.
And the worst part is that even after the day that me and everyone I knew were convinced we were going to die, even after I've went to high school, and lived through four years of it, the momentum of this plague has only speed up. From 2012 to now the amount of school shootings per year and in a space of time has shot up exponentially.
I am a part of Gen Z. And if you were ever wondering why we are so angry, and why we won't stand for anymore bullshit, this is why. That day has stuck with me for five years, I remember it so clearly, I remember the fear we all felt so clearly, and yet nothing happened. And that's the point.
No child should ever have to feel that kind of fear in school, especially not when we can prevent it in the first place.

ACTION NOW
Listening to all these Republicans saying “it’s not the time to talk about gun control” is sickening. Honestly how many more lives have to be lost for America to do something about this epidemic? 5, 10, 100, a milllion? how many more years does this epidemic have to go on for these fucking people to realize that oh yeah guns are part of the fucking problem? I️ think something should have been done about gun violence a long time ago. Why hasn’t America realize that’s its not just about the “mentally ill” it’s about guns too. Weapons meant for mass murder. Mass shootings should have ended after Sandy Hook. WHERE FUCKING TWENTY 6 AND 7 YEAR OLDS WERE MURDERED. Actually no. America should have done something when the first school shooting happen. How come nothing has been done since Columbine, Sandy Hook, Orlando, Vegas!!!!! And fucking MORE!!!! None of these mass shootings should have happen. And yet more keeps happening. We need action now. Real action. We need to DEMAND for more gun control laws everyday or this shit will continue. Gun violence should have stopped when young children became causalities. Yet DACA students are more of a problem than Americans killing American children. I️ don’t want to go to class, I️ don’t want my siblings to go to school, I️ don’t want my friends to go to school bc I️ never know when it’s going to be the last time I️ hear their voice. Fuck the people who think school shootings isn’t about guns. That mentally ill people should have the right to buy fucking military grade weapons meant for killing a large amount of people. I️ can’t even imagine having a child just so that they can die in a school shooting. I pray that when I️ settle down and raise my children, I️ won’t fear like the millions of parents today fear when they send their, children off to school. No one should fear in a place for learning. Yes we need to take more action on the growing mental health issues in america, but we can’t ignore the gun violence problem. The trump administration decision on allowing mentally ill people to buy guns is just idiotic and just asking for more gun violence to happen. Is this the government way of population control... is that why NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE FOR YEARS. Fuck the 2nd admendment. Your mentally insane if you think mentally ill people (or fuxking anyone honestly) should be allowed to purchase military weapons bc of its the 2nd amendment. Military weapons should be only used by the military, not civilians or people who “hunt”. Because people out there aren’t “hunting” animals, they are hunting humans. We need action from the CONGRESS NOW. How many more people have to be forever traumatized by the hands of “the mentally ill”. The government should also be to blame for ALL mass murders involving guns as their lack of actions ALLOWS FOR THIS TRAGEDY TO HAPPEN.
Honestly when I️ was a senior in high school, during prom a black transgender woman ran for prom queen. And this WHITE REPUBLICAN TRUMP LOVING BOY fucking tells all his friends that if she wins (which she did end up winning) he’s going to shoot up the school. What did my school did? Just suspend him for one day and forced him to apologize. Although he didn’t go to prom he was able to continue to go this school and graduate. I️ as well as many others were furious of the school’s lack of action and feared his words would come true. This should have been taken more seriously. He flat out said he was going to “shoot up the school” and it was perceived as a fucking joke. You see, this is the fucking problem. When someone says they are going to shoot Up a school and people do nothing about it/ don’t report it bc they think it’s a joke, this is how school shootings happens. If the signs are there, immediate consequences and actions should be taken. Someone joking about shooting up a school shouldn’t be a laughing matter because at this rate, you will never know if the person is joking or being serious.

When Tamir Rice was murdered dickheads come to in droves to defend the actions of the officer. But when John Crawford III or Darrien Hunt were killed for toys in open carry states, despite threatening no one, I saw no one come to their defense
Trayvon Martin was murdered for defending himself & yet I clearly remember conservatives celebrating his attacker and murderer.
Today, Philando Castile’s murderer walks free and all I see is silence. So much of the “self defense community” and many 2nd admendment advocates have proven themselves time and time again to be a bunch of poseurs, cowards, bigots and perhaps worst of all hypocrites.

Ok. Kids I understand your “scared” and these “assault weapons “ are to blame.
Ok so first of all I’m sorry if this hurts your feelings
#triggerwarning
Here we go. David Hogg is a joke. He is on tv daily saying oh your 2nd amendment rights don’t matter we have to protect our children. And then when some attempts to do so he cries for privacy and thinks a clear book bag is such a violation of his rights.
This is the worse kind of person one who ignores rights/rules unless he is being infringed or it doesn’t help their argument. They cussing and name call out of rage, and then believe is so wrong when someone else lashes back.
You’re a child. And I’m 10 years older then you (or so). You can’t possibly understand the complexity of the world. Yes guns can kill. And that’s there job. Yes if this sick person didn’t have said guns he wouldn’t have committed a mass shooting. But taking my rights to make you feel safer makes no sense.
Your arguments about the NRA is a joke at best. Yes they put money into campaigns. But that’s bc they are a lobby trying insure their point of view is heard. Just like planned parenthood, naacp , and any other lobby group. ( I’ll admit I don’t know many) but they all fight for their views to be heard. So if you want one to stop funding campaigns they all have to.
Your arguments being echo by many on the left and other kids who are anti gun about it’s easier to do this then get a gun, or easier then that to get a gun. Where is the proof ? It’s easier to get a gun then drivers license, ok let’s look at the stats.
According to this web search 34k people died in 2016 from vehicle deaths in 2016. The next picture shows cdc’s statistics for 2015 year. At almost 13k. So a vehicle is statistically more dangerous then guns. That’s even with “high capacity magazines “. Homicides not gun deaths. Bc stats show 2/3 ‘s of all deaths related to guns are suicides.
So it’s easier? You have to be 18 to buy a long gun 21 for a handgun. 16 for drivers license. 18 without a safe drivers course in most states. You have to have Identification to purchase a firearm. You have to put addresses prior to the one you live. Usually just backward 3 addresses. I don’t believe you have to do so for a drivers license. Also your required by law to get a background check to buy a firearm. Don’t with a license. You have to pass a test to drive on public roads. You have to pass a test to conceal carry.( open carry admittedly isn’t so. But you also open yourself to 4th admendment issues and people wrongly calling the police for open carry that’s why a lot of people don’t). When you pass the background check and do the required class time for a ccw(basically to prove your safe to carry in public) you’ve probably on average have 3 days wrapped up in a gun purchase. Two day class and a day for the local sheriff to approve you ccw card. ( which you don’t have to get permission from a sheriff after you get your license) for a license you extensively have to prove your you and pass a written and skills road test. You get your license. If I’m not mistaken you could possibly get your license in 2 days.

today while on the phone with my mother, i almost asked why did leave me for that year when i was 12, but was too afraid. instead without being asked, she brought up the three times she left me for several months before we lived in Miami.
1st time- I barely remember this one. i was 2 and she just turned 18.She ran off with friends to Los Angeles for 10 months. she told me she lived  in Venice with friends and strangers and wanted “get away from everyone”.  she came back right before her 19th birthday. After that we began to travel together with her friends a lot until we moved.
2nd time- this time I remember- I was 9 and she was 24. we were living a horrible motel in Albuquerque. it was right after the school year started. she left for 7 months.i was left at her friend’s house. then at that friend’s parents’ house. she told me she left with a guy to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma then went to Texas with another man. at some point she spent two weeks in hospital detoxing after overdosing.  after the guy left her she  then replased right away and  then returned to Albuquerque. she told me she does not remember the original reason anymore. she feels bad about.
3rd time- i was 11 and she was 26. it was around thanksgiving. I was already drinking and made friends with older kids. we began huffing, drank cough syrup. one night after a party at her friend’s house, she told me we got kicked out of apartment and i was staying with her friend. this was the friend i stole the cocaine from a weeks before. she didnt come back until May. over the phone, she told me we were kicked out of our apartment, a boyfriend of hers was arrested and she was worried he would “rat” on her. so she ran off to Denver with another guy.
i think she is on the admend step and/or finally feeling something about something. I tried asking her questioins about why and happened where she was at each time she left, but she did not answer. I assume horrible stuff happened to her though.
anyway even though she has alway been open about stuff, this is the most open she has ever been.

Listen, since the 2nd admendment was created when there were only rifles and muskets, maybe someone should revise it.

Hank Paulson cites Hillary’s globalist platform as reason for endorsement – UN armor vehicles spotted on roads in Virginia

June 2016 – GLOBALIST AGENDA – Hank Paulson, George W. Bush’s treasury secretary, who presided over both the meltdown of the U.S. economy and the subsequent bailout of his close friends and associates, has endorsed Hillary Clinton — citing his belief that she’d be more likely to enact globalist policies on trade and immigration as part of the reason for his endorsement. Paulson also posits that…

According to a study published by Harvard, in 2004, the U.S. National Academy of Sciences released an evaluation from its review of existing research. After reviewing 253 journal articles, 99 books, 43 government publications and its own original empirical research, it failed to identify any gun control that had reduced violent crime, suicide, or gun accidents.
Somehow, it goes unreported that “despite constant and substantially increasing gun ownership, the United States saw progressive and dramatic reductions in criminal violence.” “On the other hand, the same time period in the United Kingdom saw a constant and dramatic increase in violent crime to which England’s response was ever-more drastic gun control. Nevertheless, criminal violence rampantly increased so that by 2000 England surpassed the United States to become one of the developed world’s most violence-ridden nations.
