Rewatching Riverdale to prepare myself for season 7. I haven't watched a single new ep past the first episode of Rivervale and have just been keeping up through Tumblr.
A couple things I noticed while re-binging /liked/disliked.
- the way the original couples got together was a sweet buildup of episodes despite what B*rchies like to claim.
Eg: Archie courting then dating Val and Veronica getting jealous, Ronnie making Archie face his fear and helping him feel safe, their sweet moments at the party, multiple stolen kisses and tiptoing to avoid hurting Betty. Over multiple episodes.
Eg 2: Jughead flirting with Betty and Betty's little "Juggie"'s, Jughead getting jealous of Betty going on a "date", them sleuthing Jason's room, sharing snacks, and Jughead comforting/protecting Betty only to ultimately and finally round up the courage to kiss her. Once again, over multiple episodes.
- A fault: They really did have these couples break up like every 3rd episode. I know that there's supposedly weeks in , but the timeline feels so messy and the makeup-breakup plot is tiring. If at least 2 out of the major 3 (BugVarChoni) were happy, that third was fucked over by something so petty or right out of left field. The first couple breakups from each party made sense, They were done to protect the other from getting hurt each time. But the rest feels like lazy writing. You can have couples fight and not just throw in the towel.
- You can't tell me that Riverdale doesn't have any magic in it. Not only did CAOS take place in RiverDALE at one point, but when Archie and Jughead go to deliver drugs in Greendale, Archie comes across a dead deer walking. Not to mention Cheryl's magic powers that show up later, but that's for another post.
- The whole "we have a gang but we are going to be lawful and awesome" thing is very cringe lmfao. They also mention the Hells Angel's once or twice about what they do for children around christmas. This is true. I'm a Canadian in Alberta and my uncles were all in the Hells Angel's when they were younger, however they also weren't some perfectly wholesome gang. They do heavy shit. The way they removed all the adults except for FP was also a weird choice, but it's probably because there's no way 40-50 year old gang bangers are going to let a 17 year old kid run the show.
- I'm in the midst of season 3 and I'm reminded at how much I hated the farm plot. The whole "Alice was working with Charles the whole time" thing feels just as thrown together rewatching it as it did when I first watched the twist.
Not to mention the hell that is sitting through Veggie Tales.
However I do wanna point out some plots I really loved to rewatch.
- Serpent!Alice Cooper/Smith. In love. The way she redeemed herself and every time was wearing snake skin was gorgeous and they look amazing on her.
- The midnight club was a great episode and plot. It was cheesy, sure, but it was interesting and made people invested in the parents for once.
- Falice felt very Romeo and Juliet. They honestly kind of remind me of Bughead now. Once incredibly in love, moved on with secrets, things left unsaid, and now no one knows their fate. They for sure would have been endgame is S.U. didn't leave the show.
- Betty's time at The Sisters of Quiet Mercy. I wasn't a fan of the gang not noticing/thinking she was at the farm, however I enjoyed it.
- Bughead and Varchie at Lodge Lodge. I want more that.
-Cheryl's coming out story. It made sense, and actually didn't really feel rushed at all. Cheryl never acted out of love or feelings until she met Toni. She tried to get something out of all the men she kissed on the show. There was never any indication that she genuinely liked any of them.
ANYWHO thats my thoughts so far without making this a million pages long.

Sad Falice Hours
ok i’m going to post it on here because i don’t want to do it so publicly on twitter, afraid to upset myself and some other people, but there are several reason’s of why fp’s send off really sucked:
1) Why shouldn’t FP be back after seven years? if Jellybean is in college then why isn’t FP with Alice?
2) “God, I hope not,” was sort of sweet, but this felt so weak. This should have been something bigger, more like a love declaration “This won’t be the end, Alice. I’ll be back for you.” which they probably didn’t choose for since they don’t know whether Skeet will make guest appearances... but still. from FP’s perspective it felt so weak.
3) The way they made him make that decision just like that? without talking to her first? and they didn’t even make it seem like that was the hardest decision of his life? Also, why bring a child with mental health problems to a mother who manipulated her and brought her life in danger before?!
4) WHY WON’T ALICE GO WITH HIM? THE WOMAN HAS NOTHING LEFT IN THAT UGLY TOWN?!
5) I appreciate the sentiment of FP wanting to do everything for his children, but what about himself? What about Alice? I hate like how they imply she comes always second and if FP doesn’t have control over their faith.
6) Conclusion: just a very easy way to get FP out of town, without thinking anything through. I better hear next week that Alice stopped by on her roadtrip with Betty and stayed in Toledo.
Let me also say that I appreciate that their story isn’t over (except for when the writers fuck up) and that they know they love each other endlessly so let me list a few beautiful things as well.
1) I don’t think Alice worried a second about Gladys, because she immediately agreed that it might be good for Jellybean. If she isn’t worried about FP getting with her, it means their trust and love is very solid.
2) Alice has had abondonment issues as long as we’ve known her, that she actually has the courage to let him go and be so understanding about it, says a lot about her character development. I did get the feeling that she’s not afraid that he doesn’t love her anymore, but that for now she knows he always will, whether they are apart or together.
3) The kiss was immaculate. The passion, the not wanting to pull back... I am devastated they didn’t let FP say those words back because it was long overdue, but the way he crushed his lips into hers might be his way of telling her he loves her. He’s a man of action after all, not one of words.
4) It is a good thing that their split didn’t happen with a fight or because they didn’t love each other anymore, but because once again outside forces pulled them apart. Don’t get me wrong, I hate that it does, but we don’t know any different.
So. My thoughts on that one Falice scene.

okay so wow... i have quite a few thoughts about the episode....
1. it’s not unknown that i like falice and their ending was sad but definitely needed. i’m more sad that skeet is gone ): also, i’m glad the voyeur story line is tied up nicely.
2. bughead was super cute in this episode and i’m really glad betty finally told jughead.... i’m glad he knew before they all left. their break up was really sad to watch. i hated watching them fall apart.
3. all of the graduation stuff was sad to watch, i am sad that there’s no more high school but i am sooo excited to see them all grownup!
4. honestly, after this episode, season 5 ba doesn’t even worry me anymore. we just snagged our endgame ladies and gentlemen, now we just have to wait it out.
5. JARCHIE. SO MUCH JARCHIE!!! the little bit of jarchie we got when archie was told he can’t graduate was so pure, and i was so sad for my boy. at least he still got to walk with them. archie made me feel soooo much this episode. i’m sad he lied about it tho. JARCHIE’S GOOD BYE SCENES KILLER ME. IM DEADDDD. im so glad archie told him the truth about betty. DONT BRO ME 😭😭
6. okay let’s talk about VARCHIEEEEE. 1) the lil scene in the lab when they wanted to hug, hurt my heart. just let them be happy😭 damn reginald. obviously we knew archie would sign up for the army but i really wasn’t expecting veronica’s reaction, but i did really like that she knew damn right what his plans where before he told her. she knew he’d do something like this but i’m glad they had such a good ending. the make out scene was perfect, i couldn’t have asked for something better. they’re too pure. the bed scene was amazing too. how can you say they don’t love each other? i’m really glad archie told them the truth, even though ronnie got angry, again, they got the send off they deserved. THE JALOPY😭😭😭😭😭 that whole scene made me SOB i was so sad and happy at the same time. THE FUCKING FLASHBACKS!!!!!! IT WAS HIS DAD, RONNIE & JUG 😭😭 tell me we didn’t just get our endgame right there. we win. THE I LOVE YOUS AND THE “MY GIRL”😭😭😭😭 i’m crying again now 😭 i couldn’t have asked for a better goodbye. i’m so excited to see what they have to come. i’m gonna go cry some more now-
7. i think it’s safe to say i loved this episode and i cant wait for next episode!!!
8. ALSO FUCK B*RCHIE 🥰
see you in 7 years juggy ❤️

☕️ betty and archie are “masters” at suppressed feelings... i got this from an anon and knew i needed to go to the strong sources on here! it’s an interesting perspective to highlight when we have never seen it on screen?!
Hello, my dearest! I am extremely flattered that you are coming to me with this although I’m not sure I have a good explanation for this anon.
Archie is not someone I would describe as being a master at suppressing feelings, god bless. I just recently re-watched the season 2 arc where he blurted out to Veronica that he loves her after they had been dating for... a month? Two months?? lol.
Also in season 3, didn’t it take one “I think you’re endgame” comment from Mary before Archie was running over to Veronica’s apartment to try and win her back?
Archie is generally an impulsive character and if he was being haunted by love for Betty, I cannot see him taking 4+ seasons to do anything about it.
Betty perhaps would be better at suppressing feelings than Archie (and certainly she must have done vis-a-vis Archie for many years pre 1x01), but after 1x01, when? She dealt with her Archie feelings and being rejected in 1x02 and 1x03. They had their kiss in season 2 - is that evidence of suppressed feelings?? They both got back together with their SOs almost immediately and never looked back. If they had suppressed feelings, why not act on it then when they were both broken up?
There is nothing in season 3 and nothing for most of season 4 until the fake dating arc and given how little daylight there was between the fake dating and 4x17, I don’t think they were suppressing anything.
I suppose if you subscribe to the theory that Betty and Archie love each other secretly deep down and are only with Veronica/Jughead because they don’t want to hurt Veronica/Jughead (??? I guess????) then, sure, maybe you have to also believe they have these long suppressed feelings for each other.
Betty and Archie will always have a deep love for each other and a bond based on their childhood and shared nostalgia for the past. Betty spent many years fantasizing about them ending up together. Archie’s mind probably drifted towards it at certain points, too. I can see how, on the edge of graduation and everything changing, they might both be feeling the pull of “what if...?”  But “what if...?” is a long way from “suppressing feelings.”
also, at the risk of being a broken record, because I say this literally all the time, Riverdale is not a subtle show. When characters are suppressing feelings (Falice, Varchie in season 3, Choni’s season 3 breakup), we know that they are suppressing feelings. Honestly one of the relaxing things about watching Riverdale is never having to go: “WHAT IS THIS MYSTERIOUS TEXT TELLING ME” because Riverdale will always tell me in neon flashing lights. If Riverdale wanted 4x17 and 4x18 to be the  culmination of a season of longing between B and A rather than just a plot to scatter the Core 4, Riverdale would have had Betty and Archie longing for each other throughout season 4. Or, like, even interacting or spending time with each other. But it did not do that. At all.

WIP Title Game
rules: post the names of all the files in your WIP folder, regardless of how non-descriptive or ridiculous. send me an ask with the title that most intrigues you and i’ll post a little snippet of it or tell you something about it!
tagged by @northern-serpent
tagging @deargrilledcheesusyouredelicious & @halcooper (I apologize if either of you have done this already.)
I don’t think I have too, too many WIP’s but we shall see.
In order of most recently modified:
Illicit Affairs- AU mini fic, in which FP and Alice have never met before and he starts working at the same law firm as her. She hates him at first but soon realizes, maybe he’s not all that bad.
Two Pink Lines- the current fic im working on, only two chapters left in it. Set in season 3 but, (for the most-part), not canon compliant, Alice and FP have started up an secret relationship, and Alice accidentally gets pregnant. FP winds up in jail because he was framed for a crime he didn’t commit... or did he?
How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days- based off the movie, I was on a major roll with it but I just need to rewatch the movie to remember all the sabotages they do and I just don’t want to right now lol.
Chaperones- a oneshot taking place in my Northside Diaries series where Alice and FP are chaperones on Betty and Jughead’s school trip, all the while they’re secretly having an affair.
Don’t have a title for this one yet- I think it’s going to be a non-fanfiction story (shocking, I know), but I also could make it Falice? I don’t know I kinda wanna explore doing some original work, because I used to love doing that. Anyway, premise is, single mom, two young kids (I’m thinking daughters?), her daughters call the fire department because they got their kite stuck in a tree. And some sparks fly (ha, get it?) when the mom and the firefighter who answered the call, meet. But is she ready to date again?
How To Save a Life- I have absolutely nothing written for this, but it’s going to be based off the Denny & Izzy storyline from season 2 of Greys Anatomy.
Safe Haven- based off the movie. I had this idea of doing a series called “Falice Film Festival”, where I took famous movies and popped Falice into the starring roles, which is why there are so many movie inspired fics on this list.
Speaking of fics inspired by movies, I also had a “The Vow” esque Oneshot, and a “Dirty Dancing” au. The latter of which has nothing but the first one has a quote.
You and Me- All the times FP and Alice hooked up through the years. (It’s softer than it sounds lol.)
Rivermom’s Sex and The City- I don’t know what I have planned for this and I don’t know if I’ll write it but it just came to me when bringing SATC, and I thought it would be fun to see the Riverdale mom’s in that show. (And by the way here’s how I see them: Alice- Samantha, Mary- Miranda, Hermione- Carrie, Sierra- Charlotte.)
Here You Come Again (Again)- this isn’t what it will be called, I just don’t have another idea for a title yet. But it’s a sequel to my oneshot Here You Come Again, which accounts the events leading up to season 1 in my own personal canon. This one would focus on the events of season 1 (and possibly 2), and what happened in the scenes we didn’t see, like Alice dealing with the news of FP getting arrested, the Chic situation, and ya da ya da.
Baby Blue- Oh I have such a soft spot for this one I’m just completely stumped with it and haven’t touched it since March. It focuses on Alice’s life up until season 1 (y’all seeing a theme here?), and shows all the things that have lead up to her being the cold, closed off woman we met in season 1.
Parentdale- a script I’m writing because I want a Parentdale spin-off.
Curtain Call- famous Falice au fic! FP is a famous singer and runs into Alice at a cafe. She’s a songwriter and an up-and-coming musician, and the two of them embark on tour together.
Just Friends- Teen Falice fic that I think will be posted after I finish Illicit Affairs (mentioned above). Honestly just wanted another excuse to write a Fred and Alice friendship and I got a fun little idea for a fic, so stay tuned for that!
Who’s The Boss- based off the tv show Who’s The Boss, because I just thought it would be kinda fun. Might be a fic, might just be a long Oneshot, haven’t decided. I wrote the idea down last October though lol.
Jurassic Park 3 Inspired- I completely forgot I wrote this down and I genuinely do not think I will write it haha. It would of taken the general plot from Jurassic Park 3 (separated couple’s son goes missing, said couple goes to find him, fall back in love along the way), just minus the dinosaurs.
Bury The Evidence- I also forgot I wrote this idea down, but it’s a fun one. Falice have never met before, FP has just joined the Serpents and heads to the Wyrm to pick up his Serpent jacket. He runs into Alice, the girlfriend of the gang’s leader and hears strange noises coming from the office she was just in. When he walks in, he finds her standing over the gang leader’s body. And well... they’ve gotta bury the evidence.
Home- this one is one I’m just not sure about posting? FP moves to Riverdale after being discharged from the military. He instantly falls for his pretty blonde neighbour, but he suffers from PTSD and doesn’t want to let her into his life in fear of hurting her. Heavily inspired by the Owen and Cristina storyline in Greys Anatomy, but you know, not as toxic.
How It Began- A teen Parentdale fic I started years ago and have left untouched. I’ve gotten lots of comments wanting me to update but I just don’t like where I’ve taken the story so I think updating would entail a rewrite of the last chunk of chapters. Maybe some day though.
Ok so I definitely had more than I thought. Someone kick my butt and tell me to finish these because I forgot about most of them.

The writers of the tie-in novel have contact show writers and know more about the plot than we do so there must be some truth in those books about what’s going to happen in Season 5
Yeah, like I’ve said before they (meaning the writers and/or editors) coordinate with the Riverdale staff to get the broad strokes of what they can and cannot hit in terms of writing the books. This isn’t in a vacuum, it’s not fanfic (no slam to fanfic, which I love), this is part of the promotional machine for the show. I’ve written licensed content before myself, and have interviewed dozens of authors about the same thing, and you’re sometimes given very clear guidelines (”here’s exactly what happens”) and sometimes extremely vague. Sometimes you hop on a call directly with the writing staff, sometimes you have an email with some bullet points of what to hit and what to avoid.
That all said! Nothing in this book was surprising! At all! Everyone needs to take a deep breath! We know that Varchie is probably breaking up, in the season premiere. We know that something will probably happen with Bughead as well, though if it’s a breakup, relationship stress, or something that happens over the time jump we don’t know for sure.
And regarding Falice, we know Skeet is leaving the show in episode 3. That’s a done deal. So again, nothing in the book about the end of the FP/Alice relationship is surprising. Even if they have a lovely, beautiful goodbye kiss, and seem perfectly content, and FP drives off into the sunset with Jellybean and Alice looks after him and says “how perfectly splendid”
...Can you imagine a world where Alice isn’t burning the town down several hours later? So regardless of how it plays out on screen, the devastating breakup described in the book is perfectly in line with how things would probably go.
All of the language in the book is like that, specifically to thread that needle. Archie never says, “things haven’t been the same with Veronica since I FINISHED SINGING CARRY THE TORCH AT PROM AND SHE FIGURED OUT BETTY AND I KISSED AND THEN WE BROKE UP,” he says that things haven’t been the same. Jughead doesn’t say “I can’t go to Betty with my problems since WE REALIZED WE WERE GOING TO SEPARATE COLLEGES AND THINGS MIGHT NOT WORK LONG DISTANCE” he says he can’t go to Betty with his problems. All of it is very unspecific, and that’s fine. We’ll all watch the show when it’s back next year. We’ll figure it out then.
...though it is nice to know Tom Keller will be sheriff again.

The rvd trailer comes out in 2 hours (at least for me)
Probably not gonna watch the show, just like I did with the last season :")
My advice: if u are not pleased by the storyline and other stuff and u are a bughead fan, just watch their scenes online like i used to do and probably will do this season again! The writers don't deserve our views, if they are not doing their job the right way (looking at u, ted <3)
The same thing about the Choni's (love them so much), the Varchie's and the Falice's shippers
P. S. For all of my beloved followers
This seems like a new beginning for my blog... Well, maybe :)) Will try to post as much as possible, since I have school and a lot of homework. This also will help me practicing my English (i started learning German and this year i won't be studying English, so yeah)
If you want to chat, my DMs are always opened, so go for it, that will make me so happy
Love y'all! Till my next post!

Riverdale. Aka how not to write a TV show.
Okay. What in the literal fuck? Maybe it’s because I studied writing for film and TV for 3 years but holy moly they don’t follow anything up or explain shit! I’m only going to focus on the latest episode because even that has so many no no’s. So, in no particular order, shall we?
Veronica and the burning man: I get it, they wanted to do a Halloween episode and not carry stuff onto the next episode but a 16 YEAR OLD GIRL set a serial killer ON FIRE and there was absolutely NO reprocussions or follow up. Not a scene showing the weirdo on a stretcher with the police and Veronica explaining everything, not a thing. What we do get, is Archie and V in bed, saying how proud he is of her and her pyromaniac tendencies. And you can’t tell me that having a near death experience and setting a man on fire wouldnt fuck you up, at least for a little while?! Nope, not in Riverdale apparently.
Next, falice. They know fans love/want Falice but I also understand it’s a show about teens so they want to focus on the teens. BUT, you can’t just go from FP breaking Alice’s heart then her running off to the farm. To now, them LIVING together and FP just fully accepting the son they share. Skeet is such a talented actor, he would have knocked an initial meeting scene out of the park and it would have given us more depth to his character. And I’m sure the falice shippers would have happily taken a small scene of fp asking Alice to move in with them at this point. Him being being all awkward and cute, but alas again, we’re just expected to fill in these gaps ourselves. They are trying to do too much crazy stuff and actually missing out on the fundamentals of story telling.
Cheryl asorbed her twin. Cool cool cool, just gonna leave that there.
I can’t tell if the writers know that, a good chunk of their viewer demographic are people purely tuning in to see what batshit stuff is going to happen next, like a car crash you can’t look away from or if they thinks it’s high quality mystery writing? Either way, jokes on me because best believe after my little whine and moan, I’ll be tuning in next week 😂😂

Three years ago today, Mädchen posted the first ever Falice selfie from set of episode 1x10. Along with the tag #thechroniclesofaliceandfp. This was weeks before the pilot aired, thus proving Falice was a thought long before we even knew about it! Happy 3 years of Falice!

Riverdale S4 Ep7 Thoughts *Spoilers*
- FRED 💔💔💔Coming DIRECTLY for my heart I see, okay Riverdale
- WAIT… YOU’RE TELLING ME NO ONE RAN AGAINST HIRAM SO NOW HE’S THE FUCKING MAYOR? I, despite knowing nothing about how to be mayor, would run against him SOLELY so he wouldn’t win and I know I’d win because NOBODY trusts or likes Hiram fucking Lodge………………. god this show
- Do they guys not know that “the guy from the community center” is the one that found and took Dodger to the hospital? I mean I guess not because Archie’s a minor and doesn’t HAVE to stay, he could have just dropped him off and left but like… this is some fucking reaching shit right now. Archie as their enemy has never gone after them without Dodger attacking FIRST. He’s trying to help the KIDS, how does that make you think HE is the one who fucking did it???? The fucking reach… but also…. who DID do it 👀👀 Probably Hiram’s bitch ass…
- This bh scene of them talking on the phone while Betty packs could have been cute but at the same time it’s bh. Plus, I find it hilarious that Jughead doesn’t wait for Betty to say “I love you” back like???
- I love Choni, but God Toni looks EXHAUSTED. I hate how they’ve turned one of the healthiest ships into… this. Toni loves Cheryl which is why she’s not leaving her despite all of this batshit crazy shit going on, but Toni is caring and hardheaded (before they took away her personality smh) and she would shut this dumb Julian and Jason shit DOWN. Just let my girls be happy again, please… putting Cheryl through all of this bullshit CONSTANTLY is getting real old, real fast.
- Why do people always get afraid of killing someone when it’s self defense?? Like, you won’t get in trouble! You were P R O T E C T I N G yourself/someone you love. It’s the same mistake Alice/Betty made with that mystery guy that tried to hurt Chic or whatever, it was self defense but God forbid anyone actually goes to the police and doesn’t have something to use against them later on 🙄🙄🙄
- Veronica goes above and beyond I wanna cry
- Hiram really has to be a bitch ass ON THANKSGIVING? What a real dick… BUT YASSSSS FP BEING ON ARCHIE’S SIDE WE STAN
- FP not quitting because he knows that’s what Hiram wants, ALSO because he’d just put in another Minetta… ALSO SUPPORTIVE FALICE UGH WE STAN! Can they just get married already? They’re basically already married and I’m soft for them.
- FLIRTY ALICE! FLIRTY ALICE! FLIRTY ALICE! FLIRTY ALICE! FLIRTY ALICE! FLIRTY ALICE! FLIRTY ALICE! FLIRTY ALICE! FLIRTY ALICE! FLIRTY ALICE! FLIRTY ALICE! FLIRTY ALICE! FLIRTY ALICE! FLIRTY ALICE! FLIRTY ALICE! FLIRTY ALICE!
- Hermosa does realize that the only reason she’s actually invited to a dinner with her father and his family is to manipulate Veronica, right? Like, throughout ALL the years even after her mother died we can tell he didn’t invite her because Veronica didn’t know about her. Like… I just…
- YES VERONICA!!!! WE STAN THE QUEEN BAD ASS BITCH OF RIVERDALE!!
- MARY 💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔 GOD I’M SO SAD
- Toni’s hair is amazing, and Cheryl’s dress is FIRE
- JUGHEAD WAS THINKING OF MR. CHIPPING WHILE HAVING SEX (I mean it’s implied because they’re cuddling in a bed and the way they’re holding each other tends to be how they hold one another after sex) I’M—THAT’S SO FUCKING FUNNY. I love that when they have sex both of them think of literally ANYTHING else.
- Betty with that hair and that shirt? Yes. See, if they weren’t almost step-siblings and didn’t bring out the worst in each other, this soft scene could actually be cute!
- BETTY… ORDER CHINESE FOOD? THERE’S A LEVEL 4 STORM OUTSIDE?? WHO WOULD BE OPEN DURING AN ICE STORM? Then again… Veronica is the baddest bitch and a go-getter so Pop’s would definitely still be open (also because of the still)
- POWER MOVE ALICE OMGGGGGGG FP IS LIKE “WTF NO”
- First of all, that “Yes my fantasy of eating junk food for thanksgiving!” Betty was so cute… but like that’s also a really weird fantasy… although they are almost step siblings, are still together, AND fuck to serial killer documentaries like weirdos so
- lmao “I’m too cool for everything” Brett put on that bunny mask… to scare Jughead? I know he’s annoying (although not as much this season THANK GOD) but damn you buried the kid let him breathe
- This dumb blonde bitch really thinks this kid brutalized Dodger like that despite CLEARLY being a sweet person like??? Maybe pay attention to the clues and don’t just take their word (who also said it was PROBABLY if I’m remembering correctly)
- That pajama jughead with Veronica in her PJ’s,,, the perfect duo that Riverdale will never give us. How fucking tragic 😭😭😭
- What, does Betty suddenly know how to make some kind fo truth serum or something?
- ALL THIS FRED TALK I’M SO SOFT BITCHHHHHH PLUS SHADE ON HIRAM?! Also,,, you can’t give a previous alcoholic drinks, also also that speakeasy is not yours but umm… it’s for Fred so I’ll let it pass
- LMAO BETTY YOU ARE NOT IN THE SERPENTS FUCK OFF. YOU SAVED A DOG. Oh bitch I just KNOW people are going to use that in those not-really badass edits of Betty… but at least Betty KNOWS that she’s not a sweet/nice person lol. Doesn’t mean I don’t miss when Betty was actually a nice, sweet, good person back in season one though
- OH MY GOD ALL OF THE KIDS STANDING UP FOR ARCHIE YESSSSSSSSSSS! WE STAN!!!!
- Can’t she just wait for, idk, dodger to get out of his coma and then ask him who did it? Like I know it was Hiram hiring someone but like???
- VERONICA OH MY GOD THE BADDEST BTICH OF RIVERDALE!!!! WE STAN!!!! STAB HIM HUNTY YESSSS
- YES MARY!! THE QUEEN OF RIVERDALE! Also them being surprised that she went mama bear? girl wbk Mary was a badass not to be fucked with

- WAIT,,, THEY REALLY FUCKING… OH BITCH??????
- NOT ANOTHER TEACHER STUDENT AFFAIR OH MY FUCKING GOD. DONNA I TRUSTED YOU, WE ALL TRUSTED YOU.
- “I’m a serpent, every bone in my body is a Serpent.” YES BRING BACK THE SERPENTS, TAKE OVER FROM JUGHEAD AND MAKE ALICE THE QUEEN YES UFDSOHFSHFS WE STAN FALICE
- Choni is so soft ughhhhhhhh <3
- UGHHHH NOW ONLY IF THEY COULD MAKE CHONI GET OUT OF THAT DAMNED PLOTLINE THAT’S RUINING THEM THEY COULD RULE RIVERDALE AGAIN
- NOT BETTY REALLY BELIEVING THAT DONNA WASN’T MANIPULATED… and people still want to call Betty a feminist icon? She’s ANYTHING but.
- How would you not realize a camera in your room?? It’s BLINKING.
- “Dig in, everyone.” A SOBBING
- “We monitor our patients very closely” *patient is gone* cliche of course… there’s no way they could get him out without tripping any alarms. My mom was in the hospital and on a respirator because she couldn’t breathe by herself and ANY slight movement that meant she couldn’t really breathe it would do like this jingle and it was really loud and wouldn’t stop until a nurse came in to fix it. But anyways this is Riverdale and nothing is realistic
- Mmhm Betty once again butting into things she shouldn’t and hurting someone in the process… why do people think she is a good detective again?
- NOT THIS BEING USED AS A WAY FOR JUGHEAD TO QUESTION DONNA’S STORY OH MY GODDDDDDDDDDD
- OMG ARCHIE PLAYING THE GUITAR AGAIN PLEASEEEEEEEE MY HEART
- THAT WAS YOUR DAD WATCHING OUT FOR US PLEASE SOMEONE GRAB MY HEART BECAUSE IT JUST FELL TO THE FLOOR.
- A PLAQUE FOR FRED I’M SOFTTTTTTTTTTTTT
- FP WEARING A LEATHER JACKET THAT I’M ASSUMING IS A SERPENT JACKET.
- If this means my Serpent babies are going to come back…. I’m going to CRY.

Top 5  Anti-Varchie Arguments & Why They Make No Sense
#4: “Varchie’s boring/predictable, love at first sight is so cliché(d).”
Love at first sight is so clichéd? Okay, sure, I’ll allow that.
I’ll even agree.
But think contextually for a sec: love-at-first-sight is so clichéd as opposed to what? The utterly original, never-been-done-before uniqueness of best-friends-to-lovers that Barchie and also Bughead, why do people who say they want to see a friends-to-lovers relationship keep forgetting Bughead’s in that category? represents? The novel concept of enemies-to-lovers that is Cheryl/Toni (and Veggie if you squint)? The dated-in-the-past-but-sparks-still-fly (Falice, Tom Keller/Sierra McCoy, Fred/Hermione) or misunderstood-outsider-falls-in-love-with-“perfect”-America’s Sweetheart (Bughead, and also Kevin/Joaquin, Kevin/Fangs)?
Come on.
Whether it’s your cup of tea or not, a trope is a trope is a trope. There are only so many combinations possible when it comes to romantic dynamics, and since fiction and reality have both existed for a really long time, there’s no one trope that hasn’t already been done a million times over. So…what’s the point of harping on this particular one? Or any other trope just because it’s not your personal favorite?
Yes, Love At First Sight is the bread-and-butter of many fairytales and/or Disney movies. But it’s by no means alone in that regard.
Best friends/childhood friends-to-lovers has been a longtime staple of books, TV shows, rom-coms, and musicals (Harry Potter, Kim Possible, 13 Going On 30, Phantom of the Opera, and Lion King all say hello), and so has enemies-to-lovers (27 Dresses, The Proposal, You’ve Got Mail, Tangled, etc.). I’m not even going to bother touching on the sparks-still-fly/loner-loves-”good” kid thing, because the first is the golden goose for Hallmark, Lifetime, an a billion-and-one romance novels, while the second is YA fiction in a nutshell. And if you’re one of those “I can’t help it, friends-to-lovers is my crack” kind of people, it might be worth noting that “Love At First Sight” is plenty of other people’s crack. Also, if your complaint against a trope you find overused is a valid argument, so is someone else’s. Childhood-best-friends-to-lovers may feel newer and unique to you, but it doesn’t to everyone. Some people are as tired of it as you are of Love At First Sight.
And even if your claim is that “love at first sight’s not realistic/there’s like zero basis for it in the real world/it’s the exception not the rule,” that claim also extends to Childhood Best-Friends-To-Lovers and Enemies-To-Lovers.
In the real world, the Best-Friends-To-Lovers thing is about as common as Love At First Sight, with the latter maybe being a bit more common, since the overwhelming majority of people tend to notice attraction within the first fifteen minutes of meeting someone and the overwhelming majority of childhood best friends grow up thinking of each other as a sibling. (Important distinction: when childhood best friends do grow up, fall in love and get married, they don’t tend to take until high school/college to figure out how they feel. They’re typically aware of it from puberty/slightly before puberty onward, and it doesn’t change because they already know everything there is to know about that person...they know if they’re attracted to them; they know if they’re not.) And both those tropes are more common in everyday life than enemies-to-lovers since, in truth, most people don’t want to have anything to do with the antagonistic person who made their life miserable.
So realism/unrealism? Kind of a shifting-sands argument. Especially within the context of a show that puts an ex-“gang” member in as sheriff and deputizes other “gang” members, one of whom is named Sweet Pea, of all things. I mean, if you truly feel morally obligated to reality-police Riverdale, there are far more pressing issues than the likelihood of two teens meeting each other one time and deciding within five minutes that “This is The One” (which is not even how it happens except for Archie, but still).
What it really comes down to is not the trope itself, but how well the trope is executed.
In other words, it’s not what you’re given...it’s what you do with what you’re given. Every trope has been done many times before. Like it or not, that is an undeniable fact. Arguing that something has little-to-no value purely on the basis of its commonality is in essence weighting originality (theory) over style (practical application). To illustrate why this kind of thinking is a critical mistake, let’s put it this way: weighting originality over style is like saying Riverdale Season 3 is better than Riverdale Season 1.
...Which, as even the most casual of Riverdale viewers knows, is not the case.
Is S3 more ambitious than S1? Yes. Does S3 contain more jaw-dropping plot twists than S1? Absolutely. Are there some damn fun episodes in S3? For sure. But guess what? S3 also contains far more plot holes, inane plot “twists” and contradictory developments/sheer why-are-you-trying-to-make-fetch-happen-with-this-storyline moments because S3 goes so hard for shock value/the unexpected, that it effectively lapses on execution and winds up with a more creative, but ultimately less-compelling finished product than S1. Moral to the story? Creativity is good, but devotion to creativity at the exclusion of all else is not. If a few predictable elements aren’t mixed into an unpredictable world (or vice versa), everything ceases to shock. On Riverdale, because things are always so wild, the biggest surprises are usually when things unfold normally/don’t go haywire.
Now.
Me personally, I’ve shipped every trope at least once. I’m in the habit of making myself set aside all preconceived notions when beginning a new show/book/movie, because I never know what, if any, ship I’ll go for. Historically, I’m about 50-50 on Childhood-best-friends-to-lovers—sometimes I love it, sometimes I hate it. Enemies-to-lovers—usually, I dig it, sometimes it’s a big, fat no from me, dawg. Love At First Sight however, I am overwhelmingly prejudiced against. And when I say overwhelmingly prejudiced, I mean that as a rule, I flat-out hate it. I find it stupid. It annoys me. I roll my eyes and make jokes.
But, here I am. Writing a bunch of long-ass Tumblr posts in defense of a fictional relationship that makes a direct play on the Love At First Sight trope.
So why are Archie and Veronica my huge exception?
Well, for one thing, their relationship kicks off in a manner that is highly evocative of the comics. The instant Archie sees Veronica, all of time (for him) stands still. The one solitary thing he’s aware of from the moment she steps into Pop’s and he looks up is her. No matter what he’s doing, he ends up looking at her, and after a very short amount of time, the same goes for Veronica (though of course, she tries to play it cool). Regardless of how I feel about the cheesiness of the trope, the execution of the scene is fricking cute.
For another: it actually is an unusual trope, and I was surprised to see it used.
Don’t get me wrong, the whole see-a-person-across-a-crowded-room deal is a cliché and it’s a million percent been done to death. But the funny thing is, Love At First Sight is such a clichéd cliché that it’s hardly ever used nowadays. By virtue of its extreme clichédness in fact, it has accidentally and ironically become fresh again because the second someone suggests it, someone else inevitably goes, “Nah, that’s too clichéd, we can’t do that.” In all honesty, I can’t remember one TV show or non-90s-Disney movie I watched in the last ten years where that trope was used over any/all of the other tropes available. I actually intended to make a list of the books/movies/shows I know of that have used the friends/enemies to lovers trope for comparison purposes, but it was getting so long with just the books section I ended up going, “Haha, no,” and scrapped that plan. (But for the record, almost every single Jane Austen novel is on that list.)
So, in summary: Love At First Sight clichéd? Yep. For sure.
Too clichéd?
Nope.
Certainly no more, and arguably less, than the other tropes Riverdale’s many ships adhere to. So if you’re not nonstop complaining about those other ships on the basis of the overdone/predictability factor, it shouldn’t be an issue that Varchie’s relationship is built around a recognizable trope that has been out-of-use by most everyone except Disney for a good while now. (Besides, some tropes are considered timeless for a reason.)
And seriously, if we’re going to go down the Disney path, let’s stop a second and recall how many Disney Channel shows/movies in the last decade utilized Best-Friends-To-Lovers and Enemies-To-Lovers. Or hey, what about Nickelodeon shows? Or  maybe cop/CSI/civil service-type shows where best friend partners/partners who hate each other eventually fall in love?
Again, a relationship is not automatically made “boring” because it falls within the parameters of a well-known trope, and “predictable” does not automatically mean “bad.” If that were truly the case, no fictional relationship from probably the 18th century onward would have any popularity and/or critical acclaim. And if you try to argue that that’s just how it is for you personally: predictable/clichéd = boring, you should probably keep in mind that when measured by those standards, every single other ship on Riverdale is, by definition, boring.
Every.
Single.
One.
Not just Varchie.
So if you really are passionate about Riverdale not focusing on a “boring, predictable, clichéd ship instead of an interesting one,” you might want to take a break from griping about Archie and Veronica and start examining exactly how original those "interesting” ships you’re touting actually are. And if that’s not really what you mean, if you don’t really buy into the line you’re selling (i.e., you’re just using “they’re so boring” as an excuse to disguise the fact that you don’t like Varchie because they prevent your preferred ship from happening), you might also want to consider just being honest about that.
Because when you build your argument around a point that encompasses more relationships than just the one you’re criticizing, it makes you look like you’re either extremely clueless in not realizing that your complaint also applies to your ship/other ships, or else a giant hypocrite.

Fic Writer Meme
Thanks a lot to @bearpluscat for tagging me! You can find her post here !
Author Name:
Ever since I started writing fan fictions, I had some sort of version of Dya in my pen-names, for no particular reason I’ll admit (and, as you do, Dyana was the name of my very first OC). There were lots of variations, and a couple even left out the “Dya”, but it’s what I always came back to. Miss_Dyana (on Ao3) and Just Dyana (on ff.net) are probably my favorite now.
Fandoms You Write For:
Mainly Inuyasha really! I have a couple of pieces for the Fairy Tail fandom out there (namely Gajevy though, fun fact, I’m originally a Graylu shipper, it was my very first OTP), I’ve also written a bit for Veronica Mars, Riverdale and Sky High (for LoVe, Falice and Greenpeace, or Layla/Warren, respectively). I’m fairly monomaniac I guess, I can only be very involved in one fandom at a time, and it’s been Inuyasha for the past year and a half — and I’m very happy about it. I like indie otomes and I wrote for one of them, namely Changeling, too (it’s a great game by the way, I definitely recommend it) .
Where You Post:
Almost everything ends up here, except for my Riverdale writing, which so far is only on Ao3, where most of my Inukag stuff… isn’t. I’m also usually rather active on ff.net, though I haven’t been keeping up in updating my one-shot collections in… a while now… I really have to do that again.
Most Popular One Shot:
On Tumblr, my most popular one-shot has been for Inukag and that would Name. Recently though, my Angst prompts have been really appreciated (and I’m really greateful for it!), in particular the one for “I don’t know what I’d do without you”. On ff.net, it’s Heaven is a Place on Earth (which, warning, is NSFW).
Most Popular Multichapter:
At the moment, no doubt The Maid and The Bodyguard, but then it’s my only multi chapter considering The Cursed Paintings is in hiatus. I’m bad enough at writing one multi chapter at a time, I’d never get anything done if I started several… (Yup, that’s why The Cursed Paintings isn’t being updated) My most popular fic ever however was back when I was writing for My Candy Love, in French at the time (so Amour Sucré), and it was called “Moi, seize ans, pétasse repentie…” I was 16 when I started it, never finished it ^^
Favorite Story:
That I wrote myself? Hm. I actually really, really enjoy writing The Maid and the Bodyguard. Other than that, I have a big soft spot for Superhero I think. I also love all the stories (generally prettyyyy angsty) in which I explore the characters’ emotions more in depth.
Story You Were Most Nervous to Post:
I’m always nervous to post in a new fandom / on new characters. I feel I need to write 2-3 stories to be really comfortable with them, so the first ones aren’t great and at the same time I can’t get a good grasp of the characters without, well, writing them. In the Inuyasha fandom though, I’m always nervous to post something related to Kikyo. I don’t want to have my writing labeled as ‘bashing’, but I also dislike her as a character and as a person. Writing about Kagome’s emotions also feels delicate, especially because to me it’s essential to recognize Inuyasha’s responsibility and mistakes when doing so. Bad Day was definitely a bit stressful to post since it involves both of those things. Different takes on scenes that are usually liked by the fandom are also hard, as in I don’t know what reception I’ll get. My take on the almost kiss, Opposites, for example, while being actually one of my favorite stories, was a bit stressful, same goes for Haunted — and yet I really, really like them both.
How Do You Pick Titles:
I’m pretty bad at it lol. I mean, The Maid and the Bodyguard? Really? I like to pick song lyrics though. I feel it often really gives a good impression of what the story is like. It’s better if you know the song, but even if you don’t I think it sounds nice. Heaven Is A Place on Earth is pretty evocative no matter what and still somewhat poetic, for example.
Do You Outline:
…ish? I mean I’d like to. Theoretically. I like to at least have a good idea of where I’m going (knowing how it ends), but it’s not necessarily in detail. If I’m afraid I’m going to forget it, I write it down. The first page of my document is just scenes I’d like to write for the story. So, I guess the answer is mostly no. I’d kinda like to do it more (having planned one thing in particular would have saved me from an almost two-months pause in TMTB), but I do appreciate the freedom it gives to me.
Complete Stories:
Yeah, um, about that… I’m bad at finishing stuff? Only thing I’ve ever finished was a story for Disney Channel’s ZOMBIES. I was really, really happy about managing to get it done though!
Coming Soon:
Well, Inuvember, hopefully? So that should be intense (and I have a couple of ideas that I’m excited to share for that but they’ll have to be surprises). Other than that, I really want to focus on finishing TMTB now, so maybe not that many one-shots in the meantime (though, yeah, with Inuvember it’s still going to have to wait a while <.< ).
Prompts:
Yup. Yupyupyup. I really like writing them. Send ‘em. I’m not saying I’m fast (I’m not), but if you’re ever interested in reading my take on something, always feel free to send something!
Upcoming Story You are Most Excited For:
Once I’m done with TMTB (5-10 chapters, including the epilogue, and probably two NSFW bonus chapters that will be posted on the side), I’d like to write a couple of short stories (5-10 chapters), for some of the headcanons I’ve posted. There’s also a Coffee Shop AU I want to write and I’d like to continue the ‘Pregnant after a one-night stand AU’. So, I’m hyped to test a new format and I’m curious to see what it’ll change for me on the writing side. I’d kinda like to try my hand at writing a whole canon story, but I’m not sure it’d work well, so don’t hold your breath ^^'

Riverdale Pairings as Game Of Thrones Houses.
In honour of the ending of the series Game of Thrones, I will be listing the most popular Riverdale couples as the Game Of Thrones Houses!
#1. Jeronica (Jughead Jones & Veronica Lodge; Game Of Thrones House: HOUSE STARK)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
House Stark
House Stark of Winterfell is one of the Great Houses of Westeros and the principal noble house of the north. In days of old they ruled as Kings of Winter, but since Aegon's Conquest they have been Wardens of the North and ruled as Lords of Winterfell. Their seat, Winterfell, is an ancient castle renowned for its strength. Their sigil is a grey direwolf racing across a field of white. Their words are "Winter is Coming", one of only a few house mottoes to be a warning rather than a boast.[1] Several of the POV characters of A Song of Ice and Fireare members of House Stark. Aside from the Karstarks of Karhold, the Starks of Winterfell may have other, distant relatives in the north. White Harbor and Barrowton are considered to be likely options.[2] Some younger Starks have also held vassal holdfasts for the lords of Winterfell. The Starks have a reputation for long faces,[4][5] brown hair,[5] and grey eyes.[6][7] Some are known for melancholy[8] and iciness,[9] while others have a wildness sometimes called "wolf blood".[10][11][12]In the current generation of Starks, several members (e.g., Arya and Bran Stark and Jon Snow) have the ability to enter the minds of their direwolf pets as wargs, giving them the ability to experience the senses of their direwolves[13] and to see through their eyes. The latter occurs most frequently when the children sleep,[14][15]although they are able to do it at will when awake, once they are more practiced. House Stark traditionally buries deceased members of their family in the crypts below Winterfell.[17][18] The Kings of Winter and Lords of Winterfell are given a statue of their likeness, sitting by their tomb, whereas other family members normally do not get one.[19] Exceptions include Brandon and Lyanna Stark, who were given statues by their brother, Lord Eddard Stark,[19] and Artos Stark. The statues of the kings and lords have stone wolves by their feet[20][18] and have swords placed upon their lap,[18] which are said to keep the spirits of the dead at rest, locked within their tombs.[21][17]House Stark traditionally follows the old gods.[22][23][24][25] Following the marriage of Eddard to Lady Catelyn Tully, a follower of the Faith of the Seven, a small sept was constructed at Winterfell.[26]The Starks have traditionally been friends of the Night's Watch.[19] The four youngest men to have served as Lord Commander, including Osric Stark, were brothers, sons, or bastards of Kings in the North. House Stark of Winterfell is a Great House of Westeros, ruling over the vast region known as the North from their seat in Winterfell. It is one of the oldest lines of Westerosi nobility by far, claiming a line of descent stretching back over eight thousand years. Before the Targaryen conquest, as well as during the War of the Five Kings and early on in Daenerys Targaryen's war for Westeros, the leaders of House Stark ruled over the region as the Kings in the North.Their rule in the North seemingly ended after the events of the Red Wedding when House Frey and House Bolton betrayed House Stark after forming a secret alliance with House Lannister, during which Roose Bolton murdered King Robb Stark. Both the North and Winterfell were taken over by House Bolton. However, the Bolton's hold was jeopardized when Sansa Stark escaped their clutches after learning her brothers Bran and Rickon Stark were still alive and reunited with her half-brother Jon Snow at Castle Black. Sansa and Jon marched on the Boltons to save their younger brother Rickon, who was later murdered by Ramsay Bolton, and retake their family home Winterfell. House Stark was restored to their former stature after the Battle of the Bastards. The Stark victory led to House Stark's return to royal status in the North with their bannermen declaring Ned Stark's illegitimate son Jon Snow as the King in the North. He later abdicated his title as king in order to gain the full support of Daenerys Targaryen in the Great War, becoming the Warden of the North. House Stark's sigil is a grey direwolf on a white background, over a green escutcheon. They are one of the few noble Houses whose family motto is not a boast or threat. Instead, the House Stark family motto is a warning, one that, no matter the circumstances, will always be relevant: "Winter Is Coming."
#2. Barchie (Archie Andrews & Betty Cooper; Game of Thrones House: HOUSE TARGARYEN)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
House Targaryen
House Targaryen of King's Landing is a Great House of Westerosand the current Royal House of the Seven Kingdoms. House Targaryen conquered and unified the realm before it was deposed during Robert's Rebellion and House Baratheon replaced it as the new royal House. The two surviving Targaryens fled into exile to the Free Cities of Essos across the Narrow Sea. House Lannisterreplaced House Baratheon as the royal House following the destruction of the Great Sept of Baelor, but the realm was reconquered by Daenerys Targaryen, retaking the Iron Thronefollowing the Battle of King's Landing. House Targaryen's sigil is a three-headed red dragon on a black background, and their house words are "Fire and Blood."Once a noble family of the vast Valyrian Freehold, an empire spanning most of the eastern continent, the Targaryens were given control of the island of Dragonstone in the Narrow Sea some centuries ago. After the obliteration of Valyria in the Doom, the Targaryens launched a devastating invasion of Westeros using three dragons to spearhead their attack. In a short period of time, six of the seven formerly independent kingdoms had surrendered to the Targaryen leader, King Aegon I, unifying the continent under his rule. The last hold-out, Dorne, joined the kingdom through a political and marriage alliance some two centuries later.[1]During the increasingly erratic reign of King Aerys II, his son Rhaegar was said to have kidnapped Lyanna Stark of Winterfell for unknown reasons. When Lyanna's brother Brandon protested, Aerys responded by having both him and his father Rickard Starkarrested and executed. This sparked a massive uprising led by Eddard Stark, Robert Baratheon and Jon Arryn. At the end of this war, Aerys and Rhaegar were dead and the Targaryen power-base in Westeros destroyed. Aerys's youngest children, Viserys and Daenerys, were taken by Targaryen loyalists into exile in the Free Cities of the East. Unknown to most, however, Rhaegar had his marriage with Elia Martell annulled and remarried Lyanna, with whom he also had a son, Jon Snow. As Lyanna lay dying after giving birth to her son, she pleaded with her brother Eddard to keep her baby safe from Robert, who surely would want the baby dead due to his immense hatred for Rhaegar and promise to wipe out the Targaryen bloodline. She reveals her son's name is 'Aegon Targaryen'.[2] To protect his sister's son from Robert, Eddard takes his infant nephew back with him to Winterfell, names him 'Jon',[3]and claims him as his illegitimate son, raising Jon as his own child alongside his trueborn children.[1] The child would become Jon Snow and grows up with the maternal side of his family.Generations of compound inbreeding have preserved in the Targaryen bloodline the classic Valyrian features of silver-white (platinum blonde) hair, and very fair, pale skin. Allegedly, this also preserved in their bloodline the ability to successfully bond with and ride dragons. They also seem to be somewhat more tolerant of extreme heat and high temperatures than other people, though they are by no means invulnerable to fire – or at least, not all of them. Unfortunately, some believe that this practice of inbreeding has also caused the trait of insanity to plague House Targaryen; though some members are known to be perfectly normal psychologically-speaking, other Targaryens throughout history have displayed bizarre, erratic and sometimes violent behavior, succumbing to the so-called 'Targaryen madness'.
#3. Falice (FP Jones & Alice Cooper; Game Of Thrones House: HOUSE BARATHEON)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
House Baratheon
House Baratheon of Storm's End is one of the Great Houses of Westeros, and is the principal house in the stormlands, which they rule as Lords Paramount of the Stormlands. Their seat, Storm's End, is an ancient castle raised by the Storm Kings from the now-extinct House Durrandon. The Baratheon sigil is a crowned black stag on a field of gold.[1] Members of the family tend to be tall and powerfully built, with black hair and blue eyes, as well as strong, square jawlines. They are known for their mercurial tempers, and their words are "Ours is the Fury".After Robert's Rebellion, House Baratheon split into three branches: Lord Robert Baratheon was crowned king and took residence at King's Landing, thereby creating House Baratheon of King's Landing. Robert gave the seat of Dragonstone to his younger brother, Stannis, creating House Baratheon of Dragonstone. Robert's youngest brother, Renly, became the Lord of Storm's End, continuing House Baratheon of Storm's End. House Baratheon of Storm's End is a Great House of Westeros. A cadet branch was formerly the royal house, but House Lannistertook control of the throne, though lost it to House Targaryen. House Baratheon traditionally rules the Stormlands on the eastern coast of Westeros, aptly named for its frequent storms, from their seat of Storm's End. House Baratheon became the royal house of the Seven Kingdomsafter Robert Baratheon led a rebellion against the Targaryen dynasty. At the end of the rebellion, Robert ascended the Iron Throne as Robert I and married Cersei Lannister after the death of Lyanna Stark. House Baratheon's sigil is a crowned black stag on a gold background and their house words are "Ours Is the Fury." House Baratheon became extinct after the deaths of Stannis Baratheon and his family, but was revived when Robert's last bastard was legitimized by Queen Daenerys Targaryen as Gendry Baratheon. House Baratheon's control over the Stormlands has yet to be reconsolidated.
#4. Varchie (Archie Andrews & Veronica Lodge; Game Of Thrones House: HOUSE LANNISTER)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
House Lannister
House Lannister of Casterly Rock is one of the Great Houses of Westeros, one of its richest and most powerful families and oldest dynasties. It was also the royal house of the Seven Kingdomsfollowing the extinction of House Baratheon of King's Landing, which had been their puppet house during the War of the Five Kings, for a brief stint of time until House Targaryen took back the Iron Throne in Daenerys Targaryen's war for Westeros. The Lannisters rule over the Westerlands. Their seat is Casterly Rock, a massive rocky promontory overlooking the Sunset Sea which has had habitations and fortifications built into it over the millennia. They are the Lords Paramount of the Westerlands and Wardens of the West. As the new royal house, they also ruled directly over the Crownlands from their seat of the Red Keep in King's Landing, the traditional seat of the royal family. House Lannister's Heraldry consists of a golden lion on a crimson background, and their House words are "Hear me roar!", which are rarely mentioned.[1] Their unofficial motto, which is as well known as the official one, is "A Lannister always pays his debts" - which is used much more often and mostly in negative context, though it can also be used in the original, literal sense. The incestuous relationship of Cersei and Jaime had been concealed in a conspiracy. Their son Joffrey Baratheon had claimed the Iron Throne on the premise that he was actually fathered by the late King Robert Baratheon. Lord Tywin was a key supporter of his reign in the War of the Five Kings. The Lannisters continued to hold sway when Tommen Baratheon ascended the throne, with Kevan Lannister as Hand of the King and Protector of the Realm, but lost their hold over Tommen to the Faith of the Seven, and, after destroying the Great Sept of Baelor, Cersei took the throne. With the deaths of Cersei and Jaime at the Battle of King's Landing, Tyrion is now presumably the head of House Lannister.

House Tarly
House Tarly of Horn Hill is a noble house from the Reach and formerly a vassal who swore fealty to House Tyrell of Highgarden. Their stronghold is a castle known as Horn Hill and the head of the house is the Lord of Horn Hill. House Tarly has a militarist tradition,[1] and possesses a Valyrian steel sword called Heartsbane.[2]The Tarly sigil is a striding huntsman, red on green. Their house words are "First in Battle."They swore allegiance to House Lannister, the new royal family after the extinction of House Baratheon of King's Landing, at the onset of Daenerys Targaryen's war for Westeros, betraying House Tyrell. Lord Randyll Tarly fights alongside Ser Jaime Lannister under the promise of being named Warden of the South after the end of the war. After the executions of Randyll and his son Dickon Tarly in the aftermath of the Battle of the Goldroad, their allegiance is uncertain. Randyll's daughter Talla Tarly has become the new head of the House and Lady of Horn Hill, while his son, Samwell Tarly, is allied with Jon Snow and the Night's Watch.

House Tyrell
House Tyrell of Highgarden is an extinct Great House of Westeros. It ruled over the Reach, a vast, fertile, and heavily-populated region of southwestern Westeros, from their castle-seat of Highgarden as Lords Paramount of the Reach and Wardens of the South after taking control of the region from House Gardenerduring the Targaryen conquest. The House was formerly led by Lord Mace Tyrell. Mace's son Loraswas a noted tournament knight and, secretly, the lover of Lord Renly Baratheon. Mace's daughter Margaery married Renly when he crowned himself king in the War of the Five Kings to cement an alliance between Renly and her father. Following Renly's death, Margaery was then married to King Joffrey Baratheon before his assassination at his wedding feast. She was then married to his younger brother, King Tommen Baratheon. Mace's mother, the indomitable Olenna Tyrell, assumed House Tyrell's lordship after Margaery, Loras, and Mace Tyrell were all killed by wildfire at the destruction of the Great Sept of Baelor. Under Olenna, House Tyrell realigned itself with House Targaryen and declared for Daenerys Targaryen in opposition against Cersei Lannister, who had orchestrated the downfall of House Tyrell. With the death of Olenna after the Sack of Highgarden, the House has officially become extinct. The Tyrell sigil is a golden rose on a pale green field. Their house words are "Growing Strong."

House Bolton
House Bolton of the Dreadfort is an extinct Great House from the North. After the Red Wedding, they became the Great House of the North, having usurped their position from their former liege lords, House Stark. Their original lands were in the northeast of the Stark territories. Their stronghold was a castle called the Dreadfort and the head of the house was the Lord of the Dreadfort.[1]House Bolton was infamous for its centuries-old practice of flayingtheir enemies alive, to the point that they used a flayed man as their House sigil. The Boltons supposedly gave up this practice after bending the knee to House Stark,[2] and centuries later Lord Eddard Stark outlawed flaying in the North altogether, but the Boltons continued the practice.[3] This resulted in them being despised and feared by many of the Northern houses, especially after their betrayal of House Stark and their torching of Winterfell.Shortly before the Battle of the Bastards, Lord Ramsay Boltonmurdered his father, Lord Roose Bolton, taking his father's titles and ranks. In the aftermath of the battle, Ramsay was defeated by Jon Snow and subsequently executed by the Starks; with no heir to follow him, House Bolton has become extinct.House Bolton's heraldry consisted of a red flayed man upside-down on an x-shaped white cross over a field of black. Their house words were "Our Blades Are Sharp," though a common saying of members of the house was "A naked man has few secrets; a flayed man, none."

House Martell
House Martell of Sunspear is a legally extinct Great House of Westeros. It ruled the peninsula of Dorne in the far south of the continent from their castle Sunspear. Though loyal to the Iron Throne, the Martells were never conquered by the Targaryens and pursued a more isolated role in wider political events since Robert's Rebellion. House Martell's sigil is a red sun pierced by a golden spear, on an orange field, a combination of the original Martell sigil - a yellow spear - and the emblem of Princess Nymeria - a red sun - to symbolize the marriage of the warrior-queen to Mors Martell. Their house words are "Unbowed, Unbent, Unbroken." With the assassinations of Prince Doran Martell and his only heir, Prince Trystane, by Ellaria Sand and the three eldest Sand Snakes, House Martell is legally extinct, although the Sand Snakes carry Martell blood through their father Oberyn Martell. The Sand Snakes also continue to use the Martell sigil to represent themselves and Dorne.[1] Under the leadership of Ellaria Sand and the Sand Snakes, the forces of House Martell and Dorne have aligned to support the cause of Daenerys Targaryen against House Lannister after they declared war against them. Since the deaths of the older Sand Snakes and Ellaria's imprisonment in King's Landing, House Martell's future is uncertain as five Sand Snakes still live.

House Arryn
House Arryn of the Eyrie is one of the Great Houses of Westeros. It has ruled over the Vale of Arryn for millennia, originally as the Kings of Mountain and Vale and more recently as Defenders of the Vale and Wardens of the East under the Targaryen, Baratheon, and Lannister dynasties. The nominal head of House Arryn is Robin Arryn, the Lord of the Eyrie, with Yohn Royce holding actual power over the house. Their lands are in the central-eastern region of the continent. Their seat is the Eyrie, ancestral seat of the Mountain Kings. House Arryn's sigil is a white crescent moon and falcon on a blue field. Their house words are "As High as Honor." At the start of the series, Lord Jon Arryn was killed under suspicious circumstances. His widow Lysa blamed House Lannister and sought refuge in the Eyrie. Despite her enmity towards the Lannisters, she remained neutral in the War of the Five Kings and aimed to use the forces of the Vale to defend Robin and the Eyrie if necessary. After killing Lysa and making it appear like an accident, Lord Petyr Baelish becomes Lord Protector of the Vale until young Robin comes of age. Under his rule, supervised by Baelish, the Vale assists House Stark in toppling House Bolton in the North during the Battle of the Bastards. After the battle, the Vale declares for House Stark and becomes part of the Kingdom of the North in defiance of the Iron Throne, though they later return to the jurisdiction of their historic rulers, House Targaryen, after Jon Snow bends the knee to Daenerys Targaryen.

House Tully
House Tully of Riverrun is a deposed Great House of Westeros. Its most senior member carried the title of Lord of Riverrun and Lord Paramount of the Trident, until the Red Wedding. The current head is Lord Edmure Tully, son of the late Hoster Tully. The Tully sigil is a silver trout on a red and blue background. Their house words are "Family, Duty, Honor." At the onset of the War of the Five Kings, House Tully came under attack by House Lannister and lent its support for House Starkwhen they came to their aid in the liberation of the Riverlands. House Tully has since been formally stripped of lands and titles for rebellion against the Iron Throne, with Lord Edmure a captive of House Frey following the Red Wedding. Later, Ser Brynden Tully gathered the remaining Tully forces and reclaimed Riverrun from the Freys, reopening conflict between the Tullys and the Iron Throne. The Freys lay siege to Riverrun, and were later assisted by the Lannisters on the orders of King Tommen I. Ser Jaime Lannister managed to end the siege by convincing Edmure Tully to command the garrison to lay down their weapons in return for clemency and protection. Brynden was killed during a final stand with Lannister and Frey forces while Edmure was returned to the Freys as a prisoner.

House Greyjoy
House Greyjoy of Pyke is one of the Great Houses of Westeros. It rules over the Iron Islands, a harsh and bleak collection of islands off the west coast of Westeros, from the castle at Pyke. The head of the house is the Lord Reaper of Pyke. House Greyjoy's sigil is traditionally a golden kraken on a black field. Their house words are "We Do Not Sow," although the phrase "What Is Dead May Never Die" is also closely associated with House Greyjoy and their bannermen, as they are associated with the faith of the Drowned God. Following the extinction of House Hoare, the ironborn elected House Greyjoy as Lord of the Iron Islands, an administrative region of the Seven Kingdoms, as vassals to House Targaryen. During Robert's Rebellion, House Greyjoy declared for House Baratheon. During the Greyjoy Rebellion, Balon Greyjoy declared sovereignty as the Kingdom of the Iron Islands and seceded from the Seven Kingdoms, but the rebellion was put down. House Greyjoy bent the knee to Robert Baratheon, and the Kingdom of the Iron Islands became defunct. During the War of the Five Kings, Balon Greyjoy declared himself King of the Iron Islands and the Iron Islands independent once more, restoring the Kingdom of the Iron Islands and seceding from the Seven Kingdoms. Following his assassination and the electionof his brother and murderer, Euron, as the new King of the Iron Islands, House Greyjoy was divided between Euron and his followers, and Balon's surviving children, Yara and Theon, and their followers. During Daenerys Targaryen's war for Westeros, Euron allied with Cersei of House Lannister, while Yara and her followers allied with Daenerys Targaryen, who Euron originally intended to ally with. After being set free by Theon, Yara retook the Iron Islands in Daenerys's name. Theon died at the Battle of Ice and Fire while Euron died at the Battle of King's Landing, leaving Yara firmly as the head and last living member of House Greyjoy.

Hola, lmao you're right I send the Archie fixing Betty and the slow burn I hope bot being annoying I just knew that your answers will be interesting and truthful. I don't know I like the way you see the things ( am i agree a slow burn it's not a couple take to long to be together, need a constant development at this point barchie it's more a will they or won't they)+
+ I love you fanfics, I would like to stop watching Riverdale and just read it but sadly bughead caught me and I can't escape (I'm not even trying) . Okay I wanted to ask you about the blaming jughead for Betty's actions (extortion Cheryl or the serpent dance) but I felt that it was related to the corrupting Betty theme or the jughead it betty in danger with the investigations (he just wanted that she help him to change a tire not brought her to a drug business btw and in this town everybody is
+ her to a drug business btw and in this town everybody is in danger) but I know that you probably gonna have a good ☕️ about this: warning falice/bughead and the "incest"(sorry for the testament and for my English, its not my first language)
Aw, well thank you! I’m so pleased you like my fic. If only the Riverdale writers would hire me, I feel like I could help them out so much lol. And I have enjoyed answering your asks!
Regarding Betty’s extortion/blackmail of Cheryl or the Serpent dance, I truly don’t know how Jughead could be blamed for any of these things without diminishing Betty’s agency and independence. Yes, she did those things for Jughead, but who in this show has not done some morally questionable things for the people they love? No one blames Fred for Archie’s choice to take up vigilantism in his name. No one blames Jughead for Gladys taking Penny’s eye. No one blames Veronica because Archie assaulted Nick St. Clair etc.
Personally, I am fascinated by how far Betty and Jughead would go for each other. I think it would be damn far. Betty blackmailing Cheryl to get FP out of prison was definitely a pretty morally grey choice. FP is someone who probably did deserve to be in prison for his role in covering up Jason’s murder. But you know what? I don’t think Betty will spend a day in her life regretting it. And I don’t mind that. Actually, I love my morally questionable teenage sleuth who will go to the ends of the earth to protect the man she loves. Give that shit to me lol.
Jughead definitely is not to blame for the Serpent dance either, but that particular plotline was an awkward stumble by the writers (along with Betty’s brief foray into webcamming) who, I think, wanted to portray a story of Betty trying to explore her sexuality but just... doing it poorly. I think we can assume that after Betty and Jughead reconciled in season 2, they had a very healthy sex life and Betty has been able to explore her sexuality in a safe and loving way since then. But the fact that the writers told that particular story in a fumbling, sexist way is not Jughead’s fault lol.
Jughead actually has incredible respect for Betty’s agency and abilities. I mean, he will FUCK YOU UP if you look at her the wrong way or hurt her, but he’s never considered her a damsel in distress who needs to be saved. Actually, one of my favourite underrated Bughead moments is when he and Archie have fled Riverdale in Season 3 and Archie is like “sounds like Betty needs help maybe you should go home” and Jughead just looks at him and his answer is like “Betty can look after herself, but you can’t go five minutes without getting kidnapped.” It’s a great answer. It’s true. I love Archie-in-distress. And is it later that episode where Archie does in fact get kidnapped by that farm girl and needs rescuing from Jughead? Jughead knows what his best friend is about.
And I think that dynamic is part of the tire changing scene that you’re talking about - Jughead is very much “well, Betty can protect herself and make her own choices” and Archie’s default is to be her protector. Look, I can see why some would interpret Jughead’s actions as thoughtless in that moment, but one of my favourite things about him is his high regard for her abilities.
Somewhat tangentially, if you look at what caused Bughead trouble in season 2(a), it came from both of them wanting to protect the other from their supposed darkness. Betty wanted to protect Jughead from what was going on with the Black Hood. Then Jughead wanted to protect Betty from his initiation into the Serpents. But he later tells her that he was wrong, that he should not have been trying to protect her from his “darkness,” that she can handle it. And since that moment, their relationship has been so strong. It’s wonderful. Except for 4x17. But let’s not talk about that.
As for Falice and Bughead (or bugcest as I once received in an ask from an anon), I don’t actually have a lot to say? Is it weird that Betty and Jughead share a brother? Yeah. But they are not biologically related in any way, they did not grow up together as siblings, and Charles came into their lives a few years after they had been together. Neither they nor anyone else on the show ever treated Charles’ existence as some kind of obstacle to their relationship so.... like, why does fandom? If Bughead aren’t concerned by it then why should we be.
That being said, it is not exactly peak parenting that Alice and FP decided to just hop into things together without having a single conversation with their kids about it first. Alice and FP have not been good parents over the years. At times, they have been truly terrible parents. And they both know their kids have found something wonderful and loving and stable with each other and... like, maybe they should have thought about that before getting together? At least had it give them pause? At least talk to their kids to see how they feel? But no. They did not do any of those things.
That said, @thatiranianphantom‘s One Big Happy Smith-Jones-Cooper Family series of fics is a sheer joy and a light in my life.
