Neil and Kevin sat in Wymack's office going through the candidates that Dan and Wymack had filtered through initially. "What about this one?" Kevin asks tossing a file over to Neil.

Neil opens the file and closes it within 3 seconds before tossing it on the 'absolutely not' pile. "Got anything else?" Neil asks looking at Kevin.

Kevin frowns.

"What was wrong with that file?" he asks pointing at the file that Neil had thrown into the 'absolutely not' pile.

"He wasn't viable." Neil says with a shrug.

"You didn't even look at it." Kevin scowls.

"No, I looked at it. He was just so bad that it didn't take more than 3 seconds to see how bad he was." he crosses his arms defensively.

The reason why darvey will always be one of the best power couples even after it'll be many years since the show ended is because their slow burn had one of the most worthwhile and satisfying conclusion moments in tv history. Like even though we don't have that many romantic scenes with them in s9 after they got together. But tbh that scene in s8 final episode where they finally become canon is so powerful it surpasses in some way all the possible romantic moments between them in the future. They were denying their feelings for each other for so long that when they do realize what was in front of them this whole time, it's one of the best moments in tv of the couple becoming canon imo.

Rather than bemoaning the fact that I HAVE to be the only one “Adulting” right now and feeling like I am [unjustly] back in ✨parenting mode✨

… I want to be proud of myself for accomplishing things, and doing The Adult Stuff, against all odds.
