It’s curiosity that makes you do it, but you don’t even dare to complain about the turn of events when two sets of loincloths are discarded to somewhere on the ground and you’re suddenly face to face with the two strangest, yet most prettiest cocks you’ve ever seen.
Their tails rhythmically sway behind their backs, excited and eager, and they stare you down so intensely and with so much lust in their eyes that your heart begins to race.
Alien, that’s what they look like to you.
You’ve seen the human equivalent a dozen times before, in reality, in porn, in biology books. You know what they’re supposed to look like for your kind. But this is all different.
To be fair, Lo’ak’s cock looks a lot more human like than you thought. It’s still blue, obviously, and there’s also his enormous size, big enough to be compared to your forearm, but it looks relatively close to a human dick. His tanhì seem to sparkle in the rhythm of his throbbing heartbeat, the mushroom-like tip leaking pre-cum from it’s slit that almost looks… shimmery.
And then there’s this part of him that’s not so human like. A knot on the base of his shaft. It’s not that big, not yet, but that thing is supposed to… it’s supposed to swell the closer he is to his climax, and then he can push it inside his preferred mate. The primary reason for this is to ensure impregnation. You swallow thickly at the thought of that thing going inside you– going inside anywhere. Would it even fit? You doubt it.
What takes you by surprise is that unlike Lo’ak, Neteyam’s cock seems to come out of a slit. You guess the reason for this must’ve been in their mixed DNA, because just like some of their other features, Lo‘ak comes more like his father who was once human himself, while Neteyam comes after his mother, gifting him with the more Na‘vi-like features.
In comparison to size, he‘s not so different from Lo‘ak. Maybe a little girthier, and his knot seems to be more prominent too, but that’s it.
What’s interesting however is, that his shaft is glistening slightly in what you assume must be some natural lubricant from it’s protecting sheath, and you fight the urge to touch it just yet. Not before you’re done with your admiration.
Luckily, both men seem to be pretty content with just standing there, grinning from ear to ear as they watch you squirm and shuffle on your knees while you take in every detail of their foreign biology. It’s for scientific reasons after all. At least that’s what you had told them, but neither of you was so sure about this now.
"What’s the matter, hm? Nervous?", Lo‘ak is the first to break the silence, cocking his head in a teasing way as he glances down at you.
You know he’s referring to the way you’re suddenly struck speechless, when you can normally barely keep your mouth shut. The deep blush spreading over your cheeks must’ve been a pretty clear sign to them that your thoughts had wandered far off the original purpose of this whole situation.
"No", you breathe out, and mentally curse the way your voice comes out quiet and a little shaky.
"Don’t be", Neteyam smiles warmly. "You can touch us if you want."
You can’t help the way your mouth begins to salivate as you watch Lo‘ak stroke his hard cock right in front of your face, the tip leaking more pre-cum with every tug and pull. "Go on, baby. Don’t be shy", Lo‘ak urges, licking his lips, and Neteyam gives you a small, reassuring nod.
You shuffle a little closer on your knees and then take them both into your trembling hands. Neteyam sucks in a breath at the sensation of your soft hands on his cock and Lo‘ak let’s out a small groan. They’re both very warm to the touch, skin taunt and firm. You squeeze Lo‘ak’s cock with your left hand and stroke Neteyam‘s with your right.
They twitch and throb in your palms, both of them too big for you to close your hands entirely around their girth. The realization alone makes you feel uneasy, and you slowly begin to feel heat pooling from your core and smearing between your thighs. Experimentally, you switch between squeezing and stroking, letting your hands glide over their knots, thumbs swiping over their leaking slits.
Heat floods your cheeks when Neteyam suddenly cups your face in one hand and steps just a little closer. You exchange a glance, like a silent confirmation of consent, before he nudges the head of his cock against your plump lips, smearing his pre over them with relish.
"Say you want it, c‘mon", Neteyam mumbles lowly, too lost in the sight of your lips on his cock to even look you in the eyes, "Say you want to suck our cocks. We know you do."
Lo‘ak’s cock throbbed in sympathy at his words, his hands closing tight around your own as he slowly rocked his hips forward to thrust into your palm. You almost didn’t hear the muttered Na‘vi curses over the rapid sound of your own breathing.
You then press a small kiss to his tip and Neteyam can’t help but huff out a breath, smiling at the precious sight before him.
Both of them were watching you with half lidded eyes, as you dragged your tongue up the underside of his cock, making him groan, enjoying the feeling of that wet, warm muscle against his hard length.
The taste of his pre-cum is strangely sweet, you think to yourself. Not at all like human seed tastes.
You drag the flat of your tongue up, the tip of it flicking just beneath the head of his cock, before you take him into his mouth and start bobbing your head up and down. His hips jerk at the sensation and he rolls his neck back with a moan. "Fuuck, there you go", he breathed heavily, "That’s it, sevin. Good girl, keep going just like that."
Meanwhile, Lo’ak tries to restrain himself– to restrain the urge to just flip you onto your stomach and fuck you senseless, make you scream his name for the whole lab to hear, while you stroke his cock in a similar pace as you sucked off his brother. Spitting onto his shaft, it lubes the way for you to stroke him more fluidly, faster, and he thrusts forward into your palm.
Neteyam was so far from being fully buried inside your mouth, his size was making it incredibly difficult, but he could feel you push yourself to your limit. You were making these wet noises that went straight to his dick, while your soft hands stroked every inch your mouth couldn’t reach.
"Eywa, if her mouth is already this tight…", Neteyam mumbled between low groans, his hand cradling the back of your head and gently pushing you up and down his length and you willingly let him guide you.
"I can’t wait to feel that sweet human pussy around me", Lo‘ak chimed in, winking at you when you glanced in his direction. "But first I want those pretty lips on me. C‘mon baby, my turn."
Just as your gagging had grown a little louder, you’re suddenly pulled off of his cock. Both of them admire the strings of glistening saliva connecting Neteyams tip to your swollen lips, while you gasp for air, panting. Your hands however keep pumping both of their cocks, as you turn your attention to Lo‘ak.
"Open wide for me", he says with a grin and you don’t hesitate to do as your told. The younger Sully brother moans obscenely as he slides into your mouth, hips already twitching with the effort to not hold your head still and just fuck your throat.
You look up at him, the tears that had been picking at the corner of your eyes finally tickle down your cheeks, more sounds of little gags filling their ears as he hits the back of your throat, not even halfway in.
"You look so pretty like that, making all these cute noises for us", Neteyam muses and Lo‘ak hums in agreement. "Go on, paskalin. Why don’t you make us cum on that pretty face, hm? I promise you‘ll like it", he says, which makes a knowing grin appear on Lo‘aks face. They share a look between each other just as you switch back to sucking on Neteyam‘s cock, and your brows furrow in curiosity.
"Oh, you’ll definitely want to see that", Lo‘ak chuckles, both of them grinning at you in a way that makes a tingle of excitement run up your spine. "Human girls look prettiest when they’re covered in na‘vi cum…"

life of a traitor
Tumblr media
I’m really sorry if this one seemed a bit messy, because I was trying to convey the feelings from multiple POV’s at the same time instead of just one. ps. i will drown in the Lo’ak x Tsireya ship. My OTP for life.
♢ Pairing: Dad!Jake Sully x Oldest daughter!Reader, Lo’ak x Tsireya, Dad!Jake Sully x Lo’ak
♢ Word count: 4k
♢ Genre: angst, family comfort - Warnings: cursing, Jake being a bad dad for once but we still love him
⌲ Description: “You have shamed this family.” Words hurt and they sting. Yet you make sure your dad gets to feel that very pain in the wake of Lo’ak’s return.
M A S T E R L I S T
Tumblr media
“The Sully boy has been found!”
“The oldest is with him! They’re both back!”
You were holding your breath, you realized, as the village got closer. The lit-up lanterns that seemed like mere specks of stars in the night from a distance not long ago now seemingly looming over you with intimidation for what was to come. Both of you were perched on the backs of the Metkayina warrior's mounts that had spotted the two swimming back into the reefs after sending the tulkun off.
And with Atanzaw flying above your heads, shining in the dark with his bioluminescent marks, it was an easy spotting as an uproar had started.
Your brother reached the dock first, thanking the one who helped as you followed up shortly after doing the same.
As if as one, both yours and Lo’ak’s gaze locked onto Ao’nung standing at the very front beside his parents. He was silent, though you didn’t know if that was due to the aftermath of his scolding or guilt for nearly killing your brother.
For his sake, it better had been the latter.
You merely stood back as Lo’ak was ready to pounce on the boy himself until your dad quickly intervened with raised hands of peace, and you could not stop the disappointed roll of your eyes.
“Hey…” Jake was trying to make eye contact with him, but sensing how his youngest son was too busy death glaring at the Olo’eyktan’s heir it was a futile try. “Let’s have a look at you.”
“He’s fine, he’s fine. Just a few scratches,” your dad declared, obviously nervous and trying to appear calm.
“Define fine,” you muttered, not bothering to be too discreet and catching both the eyes of Tonowari and Jake.
Your mother was next, as she threw herself down on the lower ledge and grabbed Lo’ak by his shoulders, nails probably digging in uncomfortably for a short moment. There was clear distress for her child on her face, but also the aggravation of him getting into trouble again. A very familiar combination when it came to your baby brother, admittedly.
You still made sure to be closer to him as you stepped up, shoulders just barely brushing your dad’s arm in passing and hovering a mere few inches behind. A silent shield to be used if needed.
“I pray for the strength that I will not rip the eyeballs out of my youngest son!” She growled with a frustrated grab at his face - Lo’ak did nothing but lean away, face stone cold in all the chaos.
His indifference was worrying you as you reached out to subtly hook your little pinky around his own. An action that only the two of you and Kiri could do with your extra fingers. His body didn’t reveal anything besides the slight twitch at the touch, but he didn’t pull away, and you took it as a good sign.
For now.
“No. My son knows better than to take him outside of the reef,” Tonowari pushed Ao’nung down to his knees by the back of his neck, a sight that gave you immense satisfaction as your lips curled up into a small smirk. “The blame is his.”
Your father was trying his best to de-escalate the situation, you knew that. And although you had a lot to say, things were going smoothly at this point, so they were held back.
“Okay, let’s go,” Jake accepted it, urging Lo’ak to get a move on and you started to follow until the next words made you freeze in shock.
“No. This is not Ao’nung’s fault. This was my idea.”
What the fuck was he doing?
Stupid, stupid boy!
Your heart was starting to pump, the disbelief at that flat-out lie from Lo’ak not making it any better. And you made sure to voice it.
“Lo’ak!” Your hiss was hardly low in volume, or gentle in its approach. It was a harsh, aggressive sound that made several people look as you grabbed your youngest brother’s arm and pulled him to you. “What do you think you’re doing?!”
You were pretty sure your nails were digging into his skin much more painfully than your mom’s did.
But as the idiot that he was, he wrenched away from you and continued on as if you hadn’t spoken. “Ao’nung tried to talk me out of it. Really.”
Lie, lie, lies!
The word thundered in your head as you pinched your eyes shut with a rigid sigh. Your parents had so clearly lost their patience as your dad went up first, your mom grabbing Lo’ak either in anger or confusion. “Lo’ak!”
You weren’t sure of anything, to be honest.
“I’m sorry,” he finally finished.
“Come on,” Jake’s voice was sternly laced with exhaustion as you both followed him.  “I got this one.”
How many times hadn’t you heard that sentence?
There was a tense moment of silence as your family walked away, but Tuk was absent you noticed. Which was a good thing in itself, supposedly. She didn’t need to see this ugly side of your family so young - there were certain moments for learning, whereas others would just create minimal trauma. Just like now.
“Dad, you told me to make friends with these kids, that was what I was trying to do-”
“I don’t want to hear it.”
You cautiously straightened up at the apparent held-back anger and glanced at your mom, hoping she might help to diffuse the situation. But her glare was still firmly settled on Lo’ak, as you licked your lips anxiously.
This situation was not reached its peak yet, the comprehension of the current mood washing over you.
“Dad…”
“You brought shame to this family.”
It felt like the air had been sucked out of your lungs and stones beings violently shoved in their stead, eyes widening at the horrible words your dad…no, Jake Sully just blatantly said to your brother.
Because this was not the dad that you knew.
How could he?
Saying such words when Lo’ak was already struggling with himself.
Couldn’t they see that?
It was so clear, your confusion nearly befuddled you enough, but not quite.
Because your anger was there. Simmering, boiling - ready to erupt at any moment - because this wasn’t fair.
Your baby brother was being so strong.
Oh, how his expression squeezed your heart almost painfully. The way his shoulders just only drooped before straightening back up and fists clenching as his cold mask slipped back over the hurt that had been there only for a single second.
“Can I go now?”
Don’t go. Please, don’t go.
“Any more trouble I’ll tie a knot in your tail, you read me?”
Stop.
“Yes sir.”
Just fucking stop.
With a flick of his eyes, your dad dismissed Lo’ak like he was one of his soldiers, and as you tried to reach out for him, your baby brother ignored you with a visible lean away.
An action that hurt you more than you realized until now.
“Where were you?” Your mom spoke for the first time, turning to Neteyam.
Someone that had nothing to do with this whole fiasco.
“Yeah, what happened to keep an eye on your brother?”
You spoke before he could. “Where were you?”
Both of your parents turned to look, identical frowns on their faces as they stared you down at your tone. But you would not budge at their intimidation.
“Excuse me?”
“How could you?”
“Y/N this is not the time for one of your tirades again.”
The disbelieving laugh that you let out was so out of character that even Kiri’s eyes widened warily.
Your sister was someone who often silently observed those around you. And she knew that at this point there was no going back. You were clearly losing it.
“Y/N…” Your mom noticed the same, sensing the seams of your sensibility started to fray at the edges as you and Jake were locked in a stare-down.
You grinned widely, all teeth on show as your arms spread to the side. “You know what? Thank you for suggesting that dad! I would love to actually!”
Tirades were your favorite part time after all.
His eyes narrowed dangerously, a finger hovering in the air as Jake hissed in a breath before muttering out harshly - his eyes flickering to the curious audience gathering at your volume. “Watch yourself, young lady.”
“Why?” Your reply was all but spat out. “Are you embarrassed? Ashamed perhaps?”
“Y/N, you do not speak to your father like that!” Your mom’s voice snapped up, gaze hard with a hint of surprise which you assumed was due to your attitude.
Admittedly a side that you had never shown before. Or at least managed to hold back in tense moments.
“Why the hell not?!” your words were met by the gasps of Kiri and Neteyam at the audacity, but they were easily ignored as you whirled to look at your father.
He had his lips peeled back in a mid-snarl, his animalistic side coming out to warn you of the hierarchy in this family.
“You always speak to us like that! Whenever your emotions are too much to handle and you lash out at us. You say it’s our fault all disguised under your excuse of being a worried parent!”
“Lo’ak is fourteen, dad!” Making sure you had his attention you stepped closer. “Four-teen. He’s fourteen and already thinks he’s a fucking failure - and do you wanna know why that is?” there was no pause in your words as you threw them at his face. “Because of you.”
“You do not get to talk to me this way, Y/N,” Jake was clenching his jaw to the point he was sure his teeth would shatter. “I am your father-”
“-what father tells their child they’re ashamed of them?” You offered him a bitter smile. “The one I know sure as hell doesn’t.”
“Your brother made his choice. These are the consequences that follow-” your dad was having a hard time holding back with the way his voice raised mid-sentence before forcefully stopping himself and releasing a breath. “-that follow along with his actions. I am trying to teach him a lesson.”
“Did you ask him?”
“What?”
“Did. You. Ask. Him?”
Jake sighed in frustration, his hands coming up to grasp at empty air. “What are you talking about?”
“Did you even bother to ask your son whose fault this really was?” you weren’t interested in hearing his answer. “Do you even know your son? Because I do, and do you wanna know why again? Because I damn well pay attention!”
The laugh coming out of your dad made chills appear on your skin, but you were already far too deep in to turn back. Things were already fucked up, then why not cross the line a little more.
“Okay then, you little smartass. Are you telling me I don’t care about my own kid?”
He thought he had you there.
“Caring and knowing are two very different things.” This time you were the one who had him. Shutting down his own retort.
“You say you love us. You say you care for us. But also that we worry you, and that we disappoint you. Fine - that’s fine dad. But you don’t get to say that we have shamed you.”
For once during this entire duration, you hesitated.
Your next words were waiting on the tip of your tongue, heavy and loaded - something you didn’t want to say, but a part of you needed to let them out. To let your dad, or even Jake Sully, the former marine soldier hear them to his face from someone close to him.
To feel the same stabbing pain that Lo’ak most certainly did earlier.
Your aggressive protectiveness came victorious.
So you let them loose.
“You don’t get to say that; because we’re not the ones who betrayed an entire race to be where we are.”
Jake stumbled back in shock as if those very words had shot him right in the chest and he couldn’t stop them. Stop the truth that they were covered in.
It was like a pin dropped in the heavy silence that followed between the loose circle your family stood in. Your mother for the first time in her life since giving birth to you hissed in protectiveness over her mate - at her own daughter - your brother sprung to your side and twisted you away with a snarl of your name, in warning, not scolding. Whereas Kiri remained still, eerie gaze never leaving you.
However, you weren’t done.
“Hurts doesn’t it?” your voice croaked as Jake’s eyes slowly raised to meet yours. “Words.”
You left without saying anything else.
+
Warm. Gentle. Comforting and so loving.
Tsireya’s hold on his hands was always a welcoming feeling.
Her touch seemed to ground him more than he sometimes realized. A feeling that was unfamiliar to him mostly, and one that always reminded him of you.
But right now, with the two of them sitting on a boulder on the edge of a patchy space of grass and gazing out into the star covered night together, it was a touch that calmed the stabbing hurt from earlier and made the night all more bearable.
Lo’ak had no idea how many hours that passed since the chaos that had ensued after returning with you. His hearing basically stopped working after his dad’s true feelings had slapped him in the face with their words - that stung more than an actual slap would have.
He would have rather taken that slap.
“Are you okay?” Tsireya’s voice was soft and light, so sweet in its tone that he couldn’t even stop the small smile on his face after the tumultuous day.
“I will be,” he admitted honestly. He would always be somewhat okay after a few days, that was the truth.
The real question was if he would ever heal from it. That one he wasn’t so sure about.
Lo’ak might not have been mistreated or even abused by his family. A minimum that was expected for a happy life. Because in a certain perspective, he was fortunate in the life that he did have.
Two caring, protective parents.
Four loving siblings.
A grandmother for Tsahik.
And a home. Kind off.
Then why didn’t he feel fortunate?
“You can always rely on me, you know that right?”
Eywa. How beautiful her large eyes looked staring up at him from her place, where her head was previously leaned on his shoulder.
They were sparkling, he swore. The aquamarine color of them stood out even more in the darkness surrounding them. The bioluminescent lights of nature surrounding them made her all the more ethereal in his gaze.
So large and so loving and caring in the way they always looked at him.
And not for the first time, Lo’ak found his own gaze wavering - flickering down lower on her face and to her lips, which were adorably pulled down in a slightly concerned pout for him.
They might be young, just fourteen-year-old kids still growing. But he wasn’t stupid or ignorant at his age. He was well versed in romantic feelings and commitment to your partners, and how to cherish each other if the right one ever did appear.
And his dad made good on his promise to teach them all about teenage hormones and urges, and how to control them in a respectful manner. To know when it was too early to start exploring what he wanted or not.
Lo’ak wanted to kiss her. He knew that. It wasn’t a secret.
But it was too early. And in the aftermath of his falling out with his parents, it seemed too…raw.
He didn’t want to use someone he was growing to care more for each day as a way of making himself feel better.
And Tsireya deserved better, being the kindhearted person she was. And he wasn’t quite there to give it to her yet.
But one day, he hoped he would be.
“Thank you,” was all he managed to say in reply offering a small tug of his lips as she stared at him for a moment longer before turning away, the clear tell of redness on the tip of her ears as she realized their proximity for the first time.
He didn’t see a reason to tease her about it, not wanting to break the serenity that they were currently in. It was somewhat possible to block everything that happened.
He did say somewhat.
The rustling of bushes becoming louder made both of them straighten up and turn back, only to see Jake coming closer in a slow yet determined stride.
Lo’ak felt his heart starting to beat faster, a sudden change from the steady calm it had managed to find in the last couple of hours.
The reality was catching up to him again at the appearance of his father.
Tsireya turned to look at him with her concerned wide eyes again, he didn’t manage to answer her before his dad had reached them - but Lo’ak didn’t expect to notice the nervous fiddle of his hands as Jake stopped only a few feet away.
“Hey kids-” his pause was out of character. “Do you mind if I speak to my son a bit, Tsireya?”
As if Lo’ak couldn’t fall for the girl more than he already did. Because instead of letting the presence of his father and Toruk Makto completely intimidate her, she turned to him first; Silently asking if he wanted her to leave.
Jake seemed to be surprised himself, although pleasantly so. He has been so used to everyone outside of his family doing most things at his beck and call, both as a clan leader and war hero. He had clearly underestimated the relationship between the two young teens in front of him.
Tsireya stood to leave quickly at the assuring nod of Lo’ak, before parting with a polite smile in Jake’s direction and going back to the village with one last look over her shoulder.
There was a moment of complete stillness before Jake came and sat down on the space previously occupied next to Lo’ak. The boy didn’t even bother to acknowledge his father, simply staring out at the lapping water, shoulders hunched over.
His two braids on the side of his face felt like the only shield to cover him as he let them hang, avoiding eye contact firmly.
Jake let out a heavy sigh, having already expected the cold behavior of his youngest son.
He didn’t blame him either.
He had acted like a grade-A asshole, with the biggest A to exist in the universe. And towards his own child too.
Jake Sully has never claimed parenthood to be easy in any way. It was a hard, taxing journey that he obviously was still trying to learn from. It was a road that never stopped no matter how old his kids got. He would always be a father, but he’s admittedly been a shit one as of late.
And that wasn’t only according to you.
Your words had hurt. Like a damn punch to his face. Or ten.
That was true - Neytiri knew it too. And that made him think and regret. If those words stung him as they did, how much had he hurt his own kid by saying something he didn’t even mean?
Not really at least.
Jake had been angry at the moment. Pissed off, to be honest. But it was also the overwhelming worry of his kid’s disappearance that made him act out. But it was no excuse for anything he had said.
You were still avoiding him. Well, ignoring is more like it. Which was even worse. Besides your siblings, you were actively shutting out the presence of both him and Neytiri despite their tries in the last few hours to speak.
Kiri was the one to voice out your thoughts. “She won’t speak unless Lo’ak forgives you first.”
Was it strange that Jake was still proud of you? You owned the same pride he did as a young marine and his first moments on Pandora.
An unyielding pride that often got him in trouble.
But for you, it was a pride that protected your siblings even against your own parents.
“You know, sometimes I think you deserve a better dad.”
Lo’ak didn’t reply, but the shift in his body assured Jake that he was paying attention.
“I never wanted kids. Never even thought of having them until I met your mother. The world was already shitty enough as it was, so I didn’t see a point in bringing new life into it. And after my injury, that thought cemented.”
“Well, I’m sorry for ending up being your kid,” his low mutter was an inner thought not ever planning to see the light of day. Especially in front of the man himself. But he couldn’t stop himself.
Jake let out a shuddering breath, finally realizing how deep this…trauma his youngest son was experiencing. And you had been right again; it was all his fault.
“No, no Lo’ak,” moving closer, his son didn’t resist as he gently grabbed the back of his nape to push their foreheads together.
Despite his bitter words, his body still relaxed at the comforting feeling. Because it was obvious - even after everything, he still loved his dad. Still craved the comforts of his protective touches, and his overpowering hugs that were rare but much needed whenever offered.
“I’m sorry, son,” Jake whispered, eyes clenched shut and voice wavering with tears. “I have not been the father you needed since the war started, I know that now. I will try to improve, and I can’t promise I won’t fuck up further in the coming days, but I will never not love you.”
“Dad…”
Lo’ak wanted to cry.
And in the protective embrace of his dad, he did. He let those long held tears flow loose, dripping down his cheeks and starting to obscure his vision as his breath started to heave at the force of it all.
“What I said wasn’t true. I am proud of the man you’re starting to grow into, and you have never shamed this family. I am the one who should be ashamed, never you.”
“I-I am sorry-”
“Stop saying sorry,” Jake demanded pulling his son closer. “Your sister was right. My burdens should not fall on your shoulders. You’re still young and deserve to be a child, not a soldier. So I am sorry.”
Pressing his lips against the crown on his youngest boy’s head, Jake only held him as his silent tears turned into soft sobs. All the pain and hurt that he had bottled up because of him, finally being lifted off his young shoulders that should have never been born them to begin with.
“Will you ever forgive your old man of his faults?” His dad asked after several minutes he finished crying, his deep voice hoarse with nerves.
Lo’ak had no idea how long his meltdown lasted, only letting out everything in the presence of his dad without restraint until he had no more tears left. It could have been five minutes or ten. Who knew at this point?
“You’re my dad…” he had whispered in return. “I will always forgive you.”
There was a thankful smile on Jake’s face, wrinkles crinkling in the corners of his wet eyes. “Then you’re a far better person than I have ever been. Thank you.”
He swallowed, and for the first time in a while, his next words had never been more genuine than at this moment.
“I love you, dad.”
There was a firm, warm squeeze around his body at hearing that.
“God, I love you too, kiddo. So much you don’t even know.”
Maybe he’d been mistaken after all.
Lo’ak doubted this would be the end of their turmoils because life came with them. It was just how it was; parents get angry at their kids, siblings get angry at each other and vice versa.
It was expected, but at least from now on he would be assured of his parents’ love for him, and their presence would be constant and there whenever he would need them despite their own faults as people.

Updates will unfortunately be a bit slow moving forward. My 3rd semester has started and I’ve started to prepare for my MA thesis + 4 classes, so my days are packed 🥲

summary : Y/N and her family were forced to leave their home, and tensions rise as they continue their lives in a new place.
——————————————————————————
“Give it back!” Y/N shouted, annoyed at her twin brother, Neteyam, for stealing her rider’s mask. “You are like a child.”
He dangled it above her head, “That is what we are, sister.” Y/N finally snatched it from him and immediately called for her Ikran, Belli’a. “Dad won’t be happy you’re going out at this time.”
“He doesn’t care about me anyway.” Was Y/N’s end statement before she dove off the home base and into the dark sky. Neteyam watched her until she was a speck in the air then ran to find his other siblings.
“Where is Y/N?” Lo’ak asked as soon as Neteyam found him in their family’s tent. Their parents looked at their eldest son and awaited his response. Neteyam contemplated lying to save his sister, or telling the truth to save himself.
“She flew off.” Neteyam gritted out through his teeth and regretted it. His parents were up and asking questions after Neteyam answered. “She didn’t say where, she just left.”
Jake and Neytiri disregarded him and called for their Ikrans. The two searched the area for their daughter with no luck of finding her. They began the search near the forbidden section, hometree, considering it was still releasing toxic gases from its burnt trunk. Neytiri spotted an Ikran on a canopy and swooped to see if it was Y/N’s. It was. She waved her arm to Jake, and he came down to his mate. They got off their Ikrans and trailed down the tree to the floor. Jake tracked her footprints to a part of the forest where a river was still flowing despite being blocked by big branches of hometree. They located Y/N in the water, but she was simply floating in it, arms and legs spread, face and mind cleared of any thoughts. The bioluminescent rocks under her made her seem as if she was a part of Ewya with her peaceful nature. But Jake and Neytiri didn’t care for that as of this moment.
“Y/N!” Jake stomped into the river and pulled his daughter up by her arm. Her startled eyes met his, and she tensed under his gaze. “What are you doing out here? Flying off?”
She attempted to take back her arm from his grip but to no avail. “I was just enjoying the freedom and peace.”
“That was your last moment of it for a long time because you’re grounded.” Jake fired back at her, and Y/N yanked her arm out of his hand.
“I am double grounded?” Y/N spat at the man in front of her.
“Yes, if that’s what it takes for you to not disobey direct orders.” Jake said with a venomous tone. Neytiri didn’t know whether to step in or let the two settle it, just them.
“This is ridiculous.” Y/N spoke and started walking the path to her Ikran. Jake quickly caught her wrist and turned her back to him.
“Don’t walk away when I am speaking to you. I am your father.” Jake seethed at his defiant daughter.
“You’re acting like an officer. I am not your soldier.” Y/N replied and shook him off once again. “Fathers don’t yell at their children for a small mistake. Fathers don’t make their children scared to talk to them. Fathers don’t want their children to fear them when they walk towards them.”
Jake softened his features and looked to Neytiri then back at Y/N. “Is that how you feel?”
“Obviously, or I wouldn’t have said it.” Y/N snapped and turned away from her parents prying eyes, wanting more information on her feelings.
“Why didn’t you say this before?” Neytiri finally got in the conversation and approached her daughter carefully.
“You didn’t care about my thoughts.” She pointed her sentence at her father. Jake glanced down in guilt and gazed back to the girl. “Also, I like to keep my grievances to myself.”
“That isn’t healthy.” Jake commented, and Neytiri shot him a warning look. “Y/N, I apologize if I have made you feel that way, and I don’t want you to be upset at me.”
“Too late.”
“He is trying.” Neytiri told her daughter, defending his apologies.
“Please, Y/N. We can come to a resolution.” His daughter glared into him, and he swallowed harshly at her cold eyes. “I see you, my daughter.”
“Fine.” Y/N relented with an unwavering stare at her father. “I accept your apology, father.” He inched closer to her, but she stepped back. Jake was hurt by that, but respected his daughters boundaries and just motioned for her to go back to the Ikrans. The three flew back home and were even silent when they entered the tent where the rest of the family was sitting.
Y/N didn’t acknowledge anyone and went straight for her bed in the corner and put her back to everyone. Jake stared at his daughter well in to the night, wondering where he first went wrong with her and how they ended up in this hostile relationship. Neytiri did the same, but comforted Jake more so as he spoke of his thoughts out loud to her after all the children were sleeping.
The next morning was an early one since the raid of the RDA’s supplies was that day. Y/N was up before any of her family and was sharpening her knife as her parents woke up along with Neteyam and Lo’ak. The five quietly collected their battle gear and walked out of the tent to let the two not going sleep. Y/N put on her chest armor and forearm cuffs then called for Belli’a and straddled her. She waited for the family to do the same before heading off to her post. Y/N was a lookout for the raid.
She stood on her Ikran as the train appeared from the distance and neared the Na’vi waiting in the forest. Y/N resumed looking at the sky for any RDA people to come flying in. Her bow was out and arrows were ready to fly if instructed. The train was close enough to where it would be great to set off the explosion so it wouldn’t wreck all the materials inside. Which is exactly what happened. Jake sent the signal and the tracks were blown up with the train railing into the dirt.
Y/N perceived an aircraft heading towards them and shot an arrow at the plane before telling her father of the intrusion of the sky people. Neytiri and her squad were on it immediately as soon as Y/N informed them. Y/N’s job was done, or so she thought before she witnessed her idiotic brothers landing on the battlefield.
“Idiots!” Y/N mumbled to herself then flew down to where they were to scold them. “Father definitely told you two to stay in the sky.”
Neteyam jumped at his twin sister’s voice erupting from behind him. “I only came down here because this moron came first.” He pointed to Lo’ak who was in the line of passing weapons.
Y/N rolled her eyes and pulled Lo’ak and Neteyam by their ears to their Ikrans with them complaining like children about how it hurt. “Go! Now! Before Dad sees.”
Jake saw his three children on the field and was on his way to them but a missile was dropped next to them and only Y/N was hit. Lo’ak and Neteyam had climbed their Ikrans already and were in the air before the bomb fell. Neteyam roared in horror for his sister as she got lost in the debris. Jake hurried to pull metal and dirt away from where he thinks she tumbled.
“Y/N!” Jake yelled. A cough was heard over a train door, and Jake ran to find his daughter on her back, holding her arm. He kneeled down to her and stroked the hair from her face. “Hey, hey, I am gonna get you up.” Jake hauled Y/N onto her feet to which she groaned at the soreness. He had an arm around her waist while Y/N’s head leaned against his bicep. “Stay awake, ok?”
“Dad!” Jake heard from above, and Neteyam was there hovering. “I can take her!”
Y/N was silent as Kiri chatted and bandaged her arm. It’s not that she didn’t enjoy what Kiri was saying, she just couldn’t focus when she knew her father was about to rip her a new one for being on battlefield. Her other arm held up her aching head as she hit it on a metal object out there as well.
“Y/N.” Her father barked from outside the tent. Y/N closed her eyes and prayed to Eywa before standing shakily and exiting the healing tent. “What was that out there? Why were you down there?” Neytiri was once again a neutral party to the side.
“My brothers were being idiots, and I was getting them out of the way.” Y/N tiredly explained. Jake clenched his jaw as he observed his injured daughter. Her face was busted from whatever it hit, and her arm now had a gash the length of his hand. “Can you yell at me tomorrow? I think I might pass out, and I don’t want that to be counted as disrespectful.” Neytiri led her daughter to her bed as Jake followed behind.
Neytiri brought Jake out a little away from their tent and said, “You are too hard on them, her.” She kept a space between them as he tried to reach out. “This isn’t a squad, it is a family.”
Jake’s eyes filled with unshed tears as he said, “She is hurt because of those knuckleheads. But she knows better than that.”
Neytiri shook her head and went to tend to Y/N who was calling for her. Jake rested on a rock and watched the Na’vi bustling around, organizing weapons and carrying conversations. He only stopped his lurking when Tuk came over and said he looked sad. He instantly smiled and said not anymore.
The next few days were a whirlwind for Y/N after her siblings were held captive in exchange for their father to traveling to the island, Awa’atlu. Y/N was still weak from her run in with train pieces so as her father pleaded with the leaders of the Metkayina clan, she rested her head on Neteyam, and he let her. Their Tsahik surrounded the Sully’s space and accused Lo’ak and Kiri of not being real Na’vi.
“Look, look. I was born of the sky people, and now I am Na’vi. All right?” Ronal narrowed her eyes. “You can adapt. We will adapt. Okay?” Jake declared and kept his children out of Ronal’s sight.
“My husband was Toruk Makto.” Neytiri established and inched toward Tonowari. “He led the clans to victory against the sky people.”
“This you call victory?” Ronal snarked. “Hiding among strangers? It seems Ewya has turned her back on you, Chosen One.” She directed that comment to Jake, and Neytiri growled at her. Ronal returned the gesture.
“I apologize for my mate.” Jake stepped between the women before a fight broke out.
Neytiri snapped, “Do not apologize for me.”
Jake gave her a pleading look as he said, “She’s flown a long way, and she’s exhausted.”
“Jake!” Neytiri hissed.
“Toruk Makto is a great war leader. All Na’vi people know this story. But we, Metkayina, are not at war. We cannot let you bring your war here.” Tonowari expressed to Jake.
Jake clicked his tongue before saying, “I am done with war. Ok? Just wanna keep my family safe.” Y/N shut her eyes completely, pure exhaustion taking over, and Neteyam held her up delicately. Neytiri glanced back at her hurt daughter and back to the Clan leaders.
Ronal followed to where Neytiri looked and her eyes eased a little. Her and Tonowari had a nonverbal conversation with their facial expressions and came to a conclusion.
“Toruk Makto and his family will stay with us. Treat them as our brothers and sisters for they do not know the sea. So they will be like babies taking their first breath. Teach them our ways so they do not suffer the shame of being useless.” Jake was relieved to hear of Tonowari’s decision and prodded his children to thank the man. “My son, Aonung, and daughter, Tsireya, will show your children what to do.” A boy popped out protesting, but Tonowari put his hand up to silence him. “It is decided.”
“Come, I will show you our village.” Tsireya joyfully led them through the nets and docks of the island. Neteyam eventually just had Y/N on his back since she was too tired to even walk. The family was taken down a woven path to a marui where they would live. She left after everyone was inside the hut.
“Okay, Sully’s fall in!” Jake said and gathered his children and wife in a circle. “Come on, take it in, let’s go.” Y/N was shaken awake by Neytiri, and Y/N laid on her mother as her father spoke, “I need you kids on your best behavior. I mean it. Learn fast, pull your weight. Don’t cause trouble. Got it?” Lo’ak was specifically targeted by that one so he nodded.
“I want to go home.” Tuk cried.
“Tuk, this is our home now.” Jake patted her back. “We’re gonna get through this. Only if we have each other’s backs.”
“What does your father always say?” Neytiri chimed.
“Sully’s stick together.” Their children blankly answered.
“Yes, that’s right. Now with a little more feeling.” Jake says and his children do it once more before he dismisses them. Y/N stayed in the marui because she was too sore/tired to get up more than she was. “Neytiri, I am going to learn as well. I will see you when I get back.” Jake placed a kiss on his mate’s forehead then left the hut to find Tonowari.
“Are you alright, my daughter?” Neytiri crawled to Y/N who laid on the floor in a ball. Neytiri put her hand upon Y/N’s head and soothed the knots in Y/N’s flowing hair.
“I’m fine. No need to worry.” Y/N whispered and held her eyes shut. Y/N’s headache was back and stronger than before, but she didn’t want her mother worrying and her father complaining. But Neytiri was smart enough to know her daughter’s signs.
Neytiri grabbed a cold leaf and put it to her daughter’s head, and Neytiri could see the relief it brought to Y/N’s body. The mother and daughter ended up snuggling and falling asleep on a blanket with Y/N’s head on Neytiri’s chest.
Jake returned to the marui, ready to tell his wife of the skimwing he managed to dive and fly with, but once he saw her and his eldest daughter cuddled, he couldn’t bare to wake them up and disturb their peace. So, he busied himself with making food for his family for dinner.
“You were so embarrassed!” Neteyam laughed out as he walked into the hut with Lo’ak and Tuk. Lo’ak shoved his brother into the wall and begrudgingly sat down next to his father who was raising his brows at the two’s conversation. Tuk giggled as well and scaled onto her father’s back.
“Where is Kiri?” Jake asked Neteyam, and hugged Tuk once he rearranged her to be on his lap. Lo’ak side glanced his brother as Neteyam thought of an appropriate response.
“Getting lessons from Aonung and Tsireya.”
“At eclipse?”
“Yes.” Neteyam shortly answered. Neytiri woke up after all the banging of wooden plates and bowls by Tuk who apologized as soon as she saw her mother and sister opening their eyes.
“What have you made, Ma Jake?” Neytiri got up and scooped Tuk into her arms. Y/N just rolled over and tried to fall asleep again. “Y/N, to the circle.” Y/N huffed and legged to plop next to Neteyam who gave her a soft smile.
“Just a stew from the fish I caught.” He replied and poured it evenly into the bowls. Kiri barged into the marui with an angry face and everyone knew not to interact and let her eat peacefully.
——-
Y/N, the next day, settled on the pale sand of the shore and kept a lazy eye on Kiri who was in the shallow water, searching for tiny creatures.
“What is she doing?” Y/N distantly heard and perked up to see Aonung, Roxto, and two other clan members standing on the shore, pointing at Kiri. “She is just looking at the sand.”
“Hey! Fish Brains! Leave her alone!” Y/N retorted to the annoying boys. Kiri got out of the water and gazed at her sister and the Metkayina, confused.
“What did you say?” Kiri innocently questioned.
“Are you some kind of freak?” Aonung snickered, and Y/N finally got off her back and pushed the clan leader’s son away. “Woah!”
“I said leave her alone! Now, back off!” Y/N reprimanded the boys and put Kiri behind her. They kept pulling and tugging on the girls that Y/N had enough and punched Aonung in the face. All commotion stopped and the four boys stared at her. “What? Never been punched?” Aonung kicked her to the ground and fired a punch into her nose. The other boys started dragging her limbs as Lo’ak and Neteyam appeared.
“Hey! Leave her alone!” Neteyam whacked Aonung off Y/N, and Lo’ak began fighting Roxto and the other two. Y/N was more bloodied and internally screamed once she realized her father was going to rip her to shreds once he saw her. The fight trickled out after awhile, and Kiri left long ago, not caring for such stupid activities. The three Sully siblings left looked to each other and accepted their fate as they made their way to the family marui.
“What were you thinking?” Jake yelled at his kids, and Y/N rolled her eyes. “What is the one thing I asked you to do?”
“Stay out of trouble. Listen, it was my fault.” Neteyam tried to ease the tension and take the blame.
“Neteyam, do not be daft. I threw the first punch.” Y/N defended her brothers, and Jake’s conflicted eyes met her unattached ones. “Triple ground me.”
Lo’ak jumped in, “I’ll go apologize.” He left and so did Neteyam, leaving Jake and Y/N to settle their staring contest.
“Why’d you do it?” Jake sighed.
“They were picking on Kiri and I.” She replied and held a hand to her face to stop the tears from falling. “I couldn’t just let them bully her.”
“Look, I know that, Y/N, but that was Tonowari’s son. He is higher up here. His father didn’t like to see his son beat up by the guest’s kids.” Jake reasoned with his daughter. A rogue tear escaped Y/N’s eye. “Oh, babygirl.” Jake embraced Y/N, and she finally didn’t resist him. “Is there more to this story?”
“I, just, I want to go home.” She meekly murmured into her dad’s shoulder. “I don’t belong here.” Jake clutched his daughter until she released him. “I have to apologize, too.”
——
Her and Aonung made up, but it fell apart just as quickly as she found out through Neteyam that Aonung took Lo’ak outside the reef and left him there. Now, there was a search party out for her younger brother, and she wasn’t even allowed to assist in the rescue by her father’s orders.
“I have the boy!” A warrior called as he swam on his Ilu up to the shore with Lo’ak behind him.
“Lo’ak!” Y/N shouted and ran to him and checked him for wounds, she found minimal damage, so she hugged him. He gratefully enveloped her. Neytiri and Jake appeared next to them and so did the clan leaders with Aonung and Tsireya at their sides.
“Is he hurt?” Tonowari worriedly asked the Na’vi girl.
“No, no he isn’t. No harm.” Jake spoke instead of Y/N, and she narrowed her eyes at her father. “Thank you for finding him.”
“My son has to own up to his mistakes.” Tonowari stopped Jake from taking his family away. “Aonung?”
“No, sir. It was my fault. I suggested for us to go beyond the reef. Aonung just wanted to please me.” Lo’ak said, stepping out of Y/N’s arms. Y/N sneered as she realized she was saving Aonung’s ass from being punished.
Tonowari and Ronal glared down at their son, “Is this true?” Ronal grunted.
“I’ll deal with this.” Jake pushed Lo’ak along, and Y/N trailed, not wanting Lo’ak to be alone. “Cause anymore trouble, and I’ll tie your tail into a knot, you read me?”
“Yes, sir. Lima, Charlie. Can I go now?” He didn’t really wait for a response and left his older siblings and his parents to watch as he departed.
“Where were you?” Neytiri scolded Neteyam, and Y/N stayed near him in comfort.
“Yeah, what happened to keeping an eye on your brother?” Jake continued, and Y/N could see the disappointment in her father’s face. She knew it all too well. Neteyam knew there was no escape, so he only nodded.
“It isn’t Neteyam’s responsibility to always be at Lo’ak’s side.” Y/N snarled, and her father snapped his head to her. “And he wasn’t there because he was helping Tuk with her Ilu.” Neteyam and Neytiri inhaled sharply from her defiant words.
Jake breathed through his nose, staring at the girl with an unknown look. He was trying to understand her. And it frustrated him when he couldn’t immediately because this was his little girl, and he was meant to know what she was thinking and what she wanted from him.
“I hear what you’re saying.” He quietly told her. She waited for the “but,” but it never came. “Lo’ak could’ve been hurt out there.”
“That doesn’t mean it is Neteyam’s fault, or job to be his nanny. If anything, it is Aonung’s blame.”
Jake clenched his hands and faltered, “Y/N, I understand. I do not want you angry with me.”
Neytiri dragged her eldest son away as Y/N and her Jake had a stare down. Neither were backing down, and Jake cursed internally at her stubbornness that definitely came from his genes. The only indication of breathing from either was the steady movement of their tails swishing in time with their chests.
“You make being your child difficult.” Y/N snapped. Jake clicked his tongue and looked up at the dark, twinkling sky. “Do you see that?”
“Yes.” Jake was increasingly preparing to give up on his daughter. Y/N shook her head after he didn’t elaborate or say anything else, so she began walking somewhere where he wouldn’t be. “Wait.” He caught up with her. “I need to guarantee safety for all my kids, and at times that means I have to be harsh.”
“That doesn’t justify you treating Neteyam, Lo’ak, and I like soldiers.” She retorted, but her cruel stare became softened as her father eyes glazed over. Jake suddenly sat on the sand and patted next to him for her to do the same. His daughter hesitated but did so.
“I had a twin.” Jake informed her and didn’t look at her. “Back on Earth. He was supposed to be the one to come here and explore.” Y/N could see where this was going and played with the sand. “He died before he could be sent here. I took his place because I had nothing else back on Earth.”
Jake finally stared at her. “I met your mother, she taught me the way of her, my, people, and then I was part of the Omatikaya clan. The sky people destroyed HomeTree, I tried to stop them. Your grandfather died, and your mother was heartbroken. She didn’t like for awhile.” He wistfully smiled as he thought back to those days. “But she accepted me again. And we defeated the sky people. And then I found out she was pregnant with Neteyam.” Y/N swallowed hard. “I didn’t know she would birth two babies that day, but when I saw you come into the light. I knew I would do anything to keep you safe.” Jake and Y/N met eyes. “I can’t let anything happen to you, or your siblings because I don’t know what I’ll do.”
“I see you.” Is all Y/N said.
——
Ronal cried out the next day at the sight of her Tulkun floating dead in the ocean beside her calf. Once Jake saw who did this, he had to instruct Tonowari to tell the Tulkun to leave, so they wouldn’t be hunted, including his family not being hunted. Lo’ak had a thinking face, and that frightened Y/N. Soon, Lo’ak left the discussion area and ran to get his Ilu to find his Spirit Brother, Payakan, with Neteyam and Y/N hot on his trail.
“I have to tell Payakan. He is outcast.” Lo’ak unhooked the armor for his Ilu.
“Lo’ak!” Neteyam boomed. “I have to keep your skxawng ass here.” He snickered slightly as he said that.
“He is my brother, I have to tell him.” Neteyam had an angry expression as he got up in Lo’ak’s face.
“No, I am your brother.” Neteyam growled, and Y/N already knew Lo’ak’s plan as he pushed Neteyam away and jumped on his Ilu. Y/N immediately jumped into the water, and her Ilu got her and she told it to follow Lo’ak’s Ilu. She could hear others also coming, but Y/N focused on keeping Lo’ak out of danger.
The two arrived to Payakan around the same time. Lo’ak took notice of the tracker on Payakan that was the same at the one that was on Ronal’s Tulkun. “Help me!” Lo’ak yelled to his sister, and he started pulling at the tracker. She did too, and the others approached and grabbed at it.
“Call dad! Just go! Tell him where we are!” Neteyam struggled to say to Lo’ak through his tries of pulling the tracker off of Payakan. Y/N got onto her Ilu and put the rope from her Ilu’s harness onto the tracker.
“Go!” She commanded her Ilu, and it began trudging in the water, trying to move with the force of the tracker. Aonung and Neteyam set it loose, and Y/N was off into the sea, attempting to find a place to drop the device. She sensed something following her and found a crab-like vessel chasing her. She swerved the Ilu and dropped the tracker in the sand.
She narrowly avoided the vessel and found a place to lay low until her brother searched for her. But that idea fell through after she witnessed Tsireya, Tuk, and Lo’ak getting caught in the net.
She hurriedly tried to stop it from going out of the water, but she was too slow. Y/N looked to her left to find Kiri capturing another vessel in tendrils on some sort on a plant, ultimately saving herself, Roxto, and Aonung. Neteyam swam beside her as she thought of a way to discreetly get on the ship. Neteyam and Y/N communicated with opposing looks and made their move when Payakan shot up onto the ship. The twins jumped out of the water and scaled the ship to where their siblings and Tsireya were tied.
“Lo’ak needs saving from his big sister?” Y/N teased and cut his cuffs. He rolled his eyes as he smiled at her. “Tsireya, take Tuk.” The Metal girl nodded and led Tuk to the ocean with her.
“We need to get Spider!” Lo’ak pleaded with his older siblings who shared a weary glance. “Please, we can’t leave him!” Y/N stomped her foot in disagreement, but Neteyam knew what that meant and nodded to Lo’ak. So, the three scoured the ship for Spider and climbed the pipes above. They found him being escorted by sky people, and Neteyam knocked one out as Y/N dealt with the other one, kneeing his face and causing him to pass out. Lo’ak whooped with Spider as Neteyam pushed them along. Y/N snatched the gun from the ground and shot at the Avatars aiming their guns at them. She hit every single one in the heart.
“Go! In the water! Now!” Y/N shoved Spider, and he told the other two, and they listened. Y/N took a deep breath as more people shot at her area, and she was out of ammo with no bow either. She regained her mental strength and sprinted to the water. The Avatars took their chance and ruthlessly fired at the Na’vi girl. She felt it before she could locate it.
“Y/N! We did it!” Lo’ak happily exclaimed and fist bumped Spider. Y/N spat water from her mouth and held her side. Neteyam zeroed in on her and caught the way she was choking on something that wasn’t water.
“Y/N, what’s wrong?” Neteyam swam to her, and looked under to find the source of bleeding. “Lo’ak! She is bleeding!” Lo’ak swam over to them, and Tsireya got off her Ilu, so Neteyam could put Y/N on it ride to the rocks nearby. “Hold her up, Lo’ak!”
As they got to to rocks where their father waited, he opened his mouth in terror as his daughter was actively bleeding out. “Gently! Watch her head!” He bellowed to his sons as they set her on the rocky ground. “Y/N, babygirl, hey, hey, I need you to hang on. Neteyam, apply pressure on the wound!” He flipped her fragilely and saw there was an exit wound. “No! No! Ok, Y/N.”
“What is it?” Jake couldn’t answer his eldest son as he held his daughter’s pale blue face in his hands.
“I wanna go home.” Y/N sputtered to her dad. “Dad, I wanna go.” Y/N could see the hope draining from her father’s eyes as he nodded.
“We’re going home. I’ll take you home.” Jake reassured her. Neytiri arrived and screamed in out loud at the state of her child.
“No! Y/N! My sweet daughter! Eywa! Please, please! My baby!” Neytiri cradled her daughters’s head and arms. “No!”
“Mom, I,-“ The light in Y/N’s eyes vanished and her breathing ceased. Neytiri shrieked and cuddled her dead daughter closer, hoping her love and desperation would bring her back. Jake looked to the sky with tears falling, he couldn’t hear his own thoughts as his mate and Neteyam wailed and knelt over Y/N’s body.
“Where are your sisters?” Jake asked Lo’ak numbly. Lo’ak provided the answer and Jake gathered Neytiri and Spider before retrieving his daughters.
——
Jake, Neytiri, and Neteyam lowered Y/N into the bright, yellow tendrils in the sea and watched as Y/N was swallowed by them and laid to rest with the ocean floor. After her funeral, the three traveled to the Cove of the Ancestors to see Y/N.
Jake was transported to a memory of young Y/N shooting her first thanator without Jake’s help.
“Look, Dad, I did it!” She excitedly squealed, and Jake softly grinned at his little girl and a tear fell from his eye. “Why are you crying? Is it not dead?” His daughter turned around frantically, but Jake only laughed and spun her back to him.
He caressed her face as she was now the older version of herself, “I am just happy to see you.”
She have him an odd look, then older Neteyam appeared behind him, tearing up as well, “You two are acting strange, but I am happy to see you, too.” Neytiri was in the shadows watching with a faraway smile as her daughter was reunited with Jake and Neteyam. “Well, I have to go prepare the thanator, and get you carry it, loser.” The little Y/N was back and was saying that to Jake. He only laughed in the memory with Neteyam chuckling behind him, holding his hand to the bracelet she carved and made him that same day from the thanator teeth.

Posting all of my deep sea Zora again because that’s where I stopped (for now) and I’m not sure if tumblr can actually save my old posts so I will just continue here:
I have a small little backstory (lore?) for them
They are made to live in the deepest part of the ocean
Their king is inspired by the great oarfish, the Princess has different features of bioluminescent animals and the anglerfish for the others I took references by magnapinna squids
They can handle high pressure and would die swimming to the surface(the Princess is the only one who can swim at the edge of the abyss you can see at the bottom of the ocean that’s how they could get in contact with other Zoras and link)
Their eyes are made to see in complete darkness
They have bioluminescent features what is both used for communication, orientation and attraction of prey
They also have their own language so no one could even pronounce their names so they are just called after things they can be associated with for example the king is just called king by foreigners like link
They are usually very isolated (obviously) and are able to learn from the few Zoras that are able to swim a little closer to the surface(still figuring that out xD)
They still have some Zora features because of evolution but it all is evolved for living at these depths. For example the fins on their waists are hollow and they lack the ear fins because I thought both could be unpractical at high pressure
This is why link also needs to wear his submarine suit . he’d end up as link pancake trying to swim down without it
Link also needs constant accompaniment during his visit because in complete darkness he would loose orientation and is lost forever(his head light is just for being able to even see something
Okay that’s it for now I love deep sea live it’s just so interesting and unusual. So.. this might not be the last post about them 🐟

Decided to revamp my Sinner Slugcats so they're not all just multicolored scugs.
I did look into some of the symbols and stuff of the game, so the writing is more or less "Outlaw, Number", since I wasn't sure how to make a "Sinner" symbol in the RW language, so I just used Outlaw since it has the lowest Karma symbol anyway.
Intricacies under the readmore
Yi Sang: Inspired by daszombes' Deadlands video, he is a "Flying Slugcat", like a sugar glider or flying squirrel. He has no true flight, but it works
Faust: Some sort of Echo or associated. Has her own citizen ID drone of an unknown Iterator, and it also acts as a little scanner (inspired by @astragatwo's take on scug Faust). She still maintains Gourmand's crafting ability, but it might be more taxing with her smaller frame.
Don Quixote: A special breed of Slugcat meant to go fast, her legs are quite powerful, letting her make longer pounces or generally run faster than most other scugs. Obviously, her lack of weight makes her weak to poleplants/worm grass, but y'know.
Ryoshu: Similar to Spearmaster, but by way of King Vulture, she only has one spear directly connected to her that she can recall (it does not act like SM's feeding needles). Also, a subtle detail is that her ears are absolutely massive compared to most scugs, giving her enhanced hearing.
Meursault: (Perhaps a Purposed Being?) He has face armor not unlike a lizard, in fact he's about the same size as a blue lizard. His bite is quite powerful, and he's certainly the best to have in front going through pipes, as his face will deflect spears (should the scavs be aggro or something). He might also have better climbing ability, able to get on walls and such, but he's very heavy so idk
Hong Lu: Bioluminescent, like a fun mix of lantern mice and cyan lizards, he can "turn it off" as it were. His tail also can be used as a small flashbang, but obviously only once (per cycle). Of course, this helps with coalescipedes, but makes him a damn beacon otherwise.
Heathcliff: Still Artificer based, where explosions and such just don't really bother him and he's able to maul enemies (though obviously his bite is weaker than Meur's). He also has a pearl hanging around his neck of unknown use, but clearly given to him by someone special.
Ishmael: Rivulet, but even closer to salamander where she actually has fins, her ability to swim is obviously a cut above everyone else's. She's probably had a bad run in or two with Leviathans. Her cloak is probably a gift from whatever version of Queequeg this world has
Rodion: Also inspired by astragatwo, she's mega fluffy making her very warm. Though, this does make it annoying for her to swim if the area is cold because she'll freeze faster. I still like the idea she can carry more scugs on her, but idk. (She does look more like a fox, but such is the price of floof)
Sinclair: Saint-lite, and still pup-sized (he's an adult, just tiny like Don) so long as he's not at lowest Karma, he has limited ability to incapacitate enemies (not quite enough to ascend) and fly a bit with said ability. I basically wanted to reference his Mark of Cain somehow.
Outis: Ironically, just your average Slugcat. She probably has stuff going on with reputation or maybe she allows Echos to appear on first visit, or convinces Pebbles to not murder everyone immediately
Gregor: Definitely a creature that has been fucked with too much. Originally just a Slugcat that had been spliced with a centiwing (sorta like how the Miros Vultures are hybrids), he seemed to have got infected by the Rot, most likely when whatever Iterator structure he was hanging out around pulled a Pebbles

What do the Batfam look like in your "Not a baby (yes you are)" fix?
Like specific descriptions & stuff?
I REALLY want to make fanart, but be accurate to your fic & your idea!
Maybe also a small description for Danny & some changes he might go through so I can also draw him?
I look forward to any response!
(I'll give you what leviathan appearances that're set in stone since Babs, Steph, and Cass still need a bit more thought.)
Bruce's species is closely related to the gargantuan leviathan meaning he's pretty big like so big he shouldn't be living in the crater. He mostly lives in the larger more open areas but really he should be living in the void. He's more long than wide like a snake with thick pitch black scales covering him like armor. He's one of the few leviathans with "hands" four clawed fingers on each of them. He keeps the head shape of the gargantuan leviathan's with six glowing white eyes. basically a huge freaking underwater snake with a mouth of razor sharp teeth.
Damian's a hybrid between Bruce and Talia (A ghost Leviathan) he's just big enough to wrap himself around Danny's base once but he's not done growing yet. Like Bruce he's long and snakelike but he lacks the visual scale armor all over his body. Only his forehead, chest and arms have the pitch black scales. His fingers are clawed extremely sharp but he's only got four on each hand. the rest of his body is semi transparent and pale like the ghost Leviathans. He's got what looks like blue, yellow and green stripes on him but those are really just organs and blood vessels you can vaguely see through his skin. He's got some short tattered fins that run along his the sides of his body which are dotted by a line of bioluminescent spots. His arms are kind of lanky like a cat that's not quite fully grown. He's got a similar head shape to Bruce but his jaw is slimmer, his teeth more crammed together as is a (inefficient) filter feeder.
Tim looks similar to a squid shark. He's one of the smallest of the batfam. He doesn't have any arms just two large dorsal fins on each side of his body and two long, thin electric blue tendrils below them that can clumsily grab things though he shocks everything he grabs. He lives in the deeper areas of the blood kelp forest so the top side of his body often has blood oil clinging to him to blend in. Like the squid shark he's got that freaky jaw and jets to propel him through the water.
Duke is based of the hover fish in color scheme his yellow body is covered in spots some of which are shaped like bats including a white spot on his main chest. He's got two blanket like fins at the sides of his body and his gills give off a metallic shine to attract prey. The chapter where we get a glimpse of Duke Danny describes him as snake-like but really he's thicker and more like a betafish in shape.
Dick shows some resemblance to an amp eel with his exoskeleton being like armor plating and his whole electric but that's where most of the similarities end. He's got javelin like fins and spindly arms that he uses for climbing they're can become electrified when he's stressed like the rest of his body. He's built to be extremely quick with a wide range of maneuverability but he's still too big for the shallows. He keeps his Nightwing color scheme of black and blue although the colors are more muted.
Jason obviously resembles the Reaper leviathan. He's got burn scars across his body and one of his fins has been torn in half. His head shape is almost indistinguishable from a regular reaper although he's got a few extra eyes two of which are dulled stained slightly green (dormant Kharaa) he's got a horn at the top of his head he uses to launch things at top speed (fish version of gun) He's bigger than any of the reapers and a deeper red in color it's only if you look at him long enough that you can realize his patterns are different.
As for Danny he's a little kid looking to be around the age of two or three. He's got fangs that inhibit his speech a bit giving him a bit of a lisp. His eyes are still blue but if he's in a darker area they glow a bioluminescent green along. His hair has patches of white and his ears are pointed.
(For now, only Tim has his humanoid form designed but I'll reblog when that changes)

new yap session lmao. also: watch my silly idea post turn into actual writing
SO i just had an idea and my few newfound follower count has got to tell me if this is good. so get this. (big warning for expand btw, like sorry)
there's a warrior clan in a cave setting ok. they are tigers. they have bioluminescent green pools inside and it's really cool like there's green glowy stuff everywhere. mostly algae but also glowworms and some other fungi.
basically the clan lives in a cave network and the main camp doesn't have any ponds for kit safety. HOWEVER all the clan's territory is confined to the cave network and all the hunting ground is littered with the bioluminescent pools. this is because in the caves, there's less land prey, so the clan has adapted to hunt fish and other animals in the pools (pending more research on animals that would reside there). this also fits because tigers are known to swim for hunting and also just for fun.
there are other clans--thinking a rainforest clan, a plains clan, and like... a treetop clan where their camp is in the actual trees [skyclan wishes they were them] and main clan only shares a border with rainforest and treetops. i think it would be set in thailand somewhere, broadleaf forests or rainforest
name ideas for all the diff clans welcome including the main one, here's what i have so far
algaeclan: would have to be changed once the bio came
glowclan: same as above
caveclan: bit basic? i like the alliteration tho
brightclan: ironic name until bio lol
darkclan: makes sense until bio
now that the logistics are over, time for story!
The bioluminescence in the pools is NEW. like the story prologue is when it begins and the first chapter is like a year or so in. before, they were just normal ass cave pools. obviously everyone's like wtf
cause this clan is not that new. it's at least gone through like 3 leads and a few founders lived in the caves before official clans were formed. so this has never been seen before in at least like 15 years.
so! everyone avoids the pools for a while and tries to hunt miscellaneous mice and spiders (temporary spiders georg clan) but it's not enough to feed the whole clan, it's just scraps. so the clan has to concede and start hunting from the pools.
the most proficient hunters, who dive the most, started feeling strange things. one day, about a half-moon after the clan started hunting pools again, Hawkwasp, one of the best hunters in the clan, didn't come back up from a dive.
The clan was really worried. the best hunters in the clan can hold their breath for 100 seconds at most, so dives are usually quite short. However, Hawkwasp was already down in the water for 10 minutes. no tiger can hold their breath that long, no matter how good a hunter they are.
after an hour had passed, another reputable hunter of the clan (Shineprance) dove to find Hawk despite her clanmates' protests. After around 30 seconds, Shine found Hawk--fully conscious and still hunting the pool. obviously she was relieved, but also confused. what could possibly allow Hawk to spend that much time underwater?
Through pawspeak (which everyone is taught from apprenticeship to both accommodate deaf clanmates and to speak underwater) Shine asked Hawk where he'd been. Hawk asked what she meant. after explaining that she'd been looking for her, Hawk questioned.. "how long have i been underwater?"
After bringing Hawk back to the surface, he confirms that she thought she'd only been down for a minute or so. after it was explained, he was greatly shocked and vowed to never dive again. she has only hunted spiders for the clan ever since.
Over the coming moons, more and more of the clan's best hunters stayed underwater much, much longer than usual. the longest run was around 5 hours. it is quickly realized that something about the bioluminescent algae and plants gave tigers the ability to breathe underwater. The tigers affected, only 5 warriors including Hawk, began to form subtle green gills around the neck/shoulder area. their paws, claws and muzzle areas started to taint green. Some reported pain in the upper stomach.
Despite these concerning effects, the leader and deputy went over the head of both the clan's nurses and encouraged the continuation of using the newfound power. the clan had fallen on tough times before, and they wren't going to prevent hunting from the pools again if it meant they went back to that.
slowly, growths start forming on the tigers affected. algae and moss for one, mushrooms for others, and glowworms for one. Hawkwasp is the only one with spiders. all the affected tigers' eyes turn slightly more green with each passing day.
Before the bioluminescence, the clan relied on small skylights for light from the sun and moon, but now that it's here the skylights have gradually started closing up. no one knows if the entrances, or more importantly exits to the caves will be next.
the affected have started acting.. strange. not like themselves. They've started disappearing into the pools for far longer than when it first started. it began with hours, but they're turning into days. the affected have no sense of time down there. the leader and deputy have instructed no one to go after them--they wouldn't want to obstruct their hunting.
The nurses of the clan attempt to recommend that each tiger dives with at least one other tiger, but the deputy and leader have overrided that and anyone except apprentices may dive alone.
Hawkwasp has not dove since the first incident. However, he still experiences the same symptoms as the other affecteds. It seems that as long as they still dive, every affected tiger will continue to undergo the symptoms. Hawkwasp has grown increasingly aloof, only communicating with clanmates when necessary. Most of the time, she can be found wandering the caves, skirting pools carefully and chasing the spiders that are not already scattered across her pelt.
No one knows what the affected tigers do down there, in the pools. some tigers think they're just hunting. some think they're encountering creatures of the deep. some think they're exploring their new home.
notes: i am SO so inspired by @clanborn, i think their writing and new concepts for the clans are amazing. thanks so much :)

YOU ENDED UP GETTING ME INTO NEOPETS NOW SO WHAT R UR THOUGHTS ON JETSAM(S)? IM A SUCKER FOR SHARKS LOL SO IM RLY HOPING TO GET ONE AT SOME POINT
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Jetsams are sharks, and are meant to be kind of a counterpart/natural predator to the dolphin-like Flotsam; to the point where the two looked near-identical. Nowadays there are more differences, with the Jetsam sporting two fins, sharp teeth, slightly different markings, and an upright posture. Personally, I like to think of these two as a case of mimicry, with the Jetsam having evolved to trick Flotsam from a distance.
Tumblr media
Visually, the Jetsam has a nice tough look to it that gives it a lot of personality, and the way it sits upright plus the two fins gives it a bit more uniqueness so it isn't just a normal shark. My only issue with it is that the gray underbelly is a bit too dark and low-contrast. Gray as the accent color is fine; it just needed to be a lighter tint.
Tumblr media
The Jetsam benefited quite a bit from customization, as its old art was starting to get very dated and needed a redraw anyway. The new Jetsam looks a little less tough, but the smile is nice as it shows off their teeth, and it gives them a fun kind of mischievous look. The overall look didn't change much, but the head has been changed significantly to have a much better, less wonky shape to it, and the markings now stop above the mouth instead of near the eyebrow. The shape of the hind fins have also been improved, and they're one of the only pets who can make the customization fists look good.
Favorite Colours:
Tumblr media
Maraquan: How do you make an underwater version of something that already lives in the water? Make it into a deep-sea fish, obviously! The overall design is easily recognizable as a Jetsam, but its been given a horizontal posture with bioluminescence and an angler fish light/teeth. The palette is great, using neutral browns and greys for the body and bright neon blues for the accent color. My only nitpick with it is that the teeth feel a bit busy and don't quite make sense if you look at them too long, but overall, this is a great design.
Tumblr media
Pastel: The pastel Jetsam is just plain pretty, using a soft pink and turquoise palette. What really makes it work is that instead of using flat colors, it employs subtle gradients so the turquoise becomes blue in areas and the pink gets some subtle highlights. On top of that, it's also given a sunlight-under-water ripple texture, with a few small speckles on areas like the eyebrows and tail. A lot of effort went into this design compared to your standard pastel pet, and it really paid off.
Tumblr media
Toy: Alright yeah, this one's just fun. The pool floatie idea is a great concept that works perfectly for the colour, and the execution is also really solid, including lots of raised plastic ridges, seams, and plenty of highlights to give it that plastic look.
My only issue with it is that weird handle on the side of the head. I guess some shark toys have these, but I've never seen one personally and it honestly just looks distracting and kind of out of place. Also, I do wish it was semi-transparent (think like the good Jelly-coloured pets), but that's not a big deal. Still a really good colour regardless.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
BONUS: The robot Jetsam has a mostly red and white palette with a few black accents, and it works really well for this pet. I love the visor, and the patterning on the fins is really neat. Both versions are fine; the UC/styled version looks a bit more robotic, but the customized version reads a bit better overall.

keeping objects as pets #2: lanterns!
hi there! in this series, i’ll be going over basic descriptions of commonly-kept object species (and some rare ones too!), facts about them, why you might want one as a pet, their basic needs and necessities provided you want to house one, and things you should NEVER do. for the second sheet in this series, we'll be talking about lanterns!
description
lanterns are a personal favorite of mine! they come in many shapes and sizes, in many different colors, but there are a few things that remain the same in each individual. lanterns are typically classified by scientists as being under the object group Lucerna, which consists of many light-emanating objects, including things such as lightbulbs, lamps, and even chandeliers and candles, but to be specific, i'm covering "standard" lanterns here ('oil'-powered metal and glass lanterns).
the limbs of lanterns are covered in plating, not unlike an exoskeleton found in things such as beetles. this plating is mainly composed of similar material to the metal of the object itself. the color of the limbs can vary, but is typically the same color as the rest of the object, albeit darker in tone. they have three toes on each foot, four-fingered hands, and no pawpads. they have no claws on their feet, but each finger is tipped with small, metallic claws, evolved to pick off the shells of nuts and fruits when necessary.
the 'oil' found in lantern objects isn't really oil as we know it! it's a unique substance produced by specialized glands within the body, used to create flames. this substance is highly prized in the scientific community and is often extracted painfully from objects, which (obviously) is absolutely disgusting. if you suspect your lantern was subjected to this practice, CALL THE AUTHORITIES and be ready to give over the proper paperwork. this injustice cannot continue.
facts about lanterns
contrary to popular belief by laypersons, these objects are frugivores. they derive their energy by consuming fruits, seeds, nuts, grain, etc., only occasionally supplementing their diet with insects, though this is uncommon to observe, especially in domestic species. their highly-specialized bodies are a result of millions of years of evolution; they are nocturnal, and evolved bioluminescence through flame to accommodate this schedule, as their eyesight tends to be poorer than many other nocturnal species. they do not stay lit during the day, and in fact, many domestic lanterns don't light themselves at all, unless their owners are encouraging them in exchange for treats. no lantern species stay lit all the time. overlighting can indicate stress and overstimulation. interestingly, their natural habitats are typically cold, so producing this extra heat might serve more benefits than first thought by scientists!
due to their fragile glass segments, these creatures are extremely skittish in the wild, and only through selective breeding have they become companions to us humans. they are rarely-seen during the night, and nearly nonexistent during the day. if you see a lantern in the wild during the day, please report it to your local object specialists; this is not a normal behavior and can be indicative of brain injury or emotional trauma. these objects are very solitary and do not trust others, even their own kind, easily if at all.
why as a pet?
lanterns, as their name implies, are great companions for people who work outdoors during twilight or night. they can be trained to emit light at specific times or under command, which can make them extremely helpful during the night or in dark buildings. they can also be wonderful support objects if properly socialized, though this is less common. due to their ability to produce flame, they commonly feel warm to the touch, which can be comforting to their owners.
basic needs + do’s and dont’s
as a nocturnal species, it's best to only adopt a lantern if you are willing to adapt to their schedule. i cannot stress this enough, you should not expect an object to adapt to your schedule, you should do the opposite and adapt to theirs. never yell at a lantern, they are extremely sensitive to loud noises and this is nearly guaranteed to break their trust, especially if you haven't had one for long. they aren't a very curious species, and prefer to not be overwhelmed with a multitude of toys - just a few will suffice. they will have a clear favorite, which can be quite amusing to first-time lantern owners.
housing
lanterns are mostly content in homes of average or smaller size. they don't need as much space as many other species, and in fact can be overwhelmed with too much open space. they like cozy spaces!
that’s all! hopefully this helps educate anyone who is considering this species!

Spider just isn’t a good multitasker. Never has been.
When he can focus, he’s great –climbing, hunting, in bed. Especially in bed. He’s not one to brag, but years of fooling around with woman that are generally way taller than him gave him lots of practice with his hand or his mouth, and he loves to use it, can get women trembling and crying out in bliss before he even gets his cock out. He’s incredibly with his mouth actually.
Wants to use it now, except you’re doing this annoying thing where you take his cock so far down your throat that Spider temporarily forgets how to breathe. Well, maybe annoying isn’t quite the right word, but it does mean that his own mouth goes slack and his tongue stops moving entirely.
"Fuu-uuuuck, tanhì”, he groans, unable to do more than grind his face against your pussy.
You’re nearly dripping, not just with arousal but with sweat too. The two of you are folded tightly around each other on the bed, you on top, straddling his head, and he laying flat below you, generating heat like a furnace.
Pulling your lips off of his cock with a wet pop, you then ask, "You need a break?"
Fuck no, he thinks. You had been teasing him forever, showering him in kisses and loves bites, sucking at his balls, and now that you’ve finally, finally started paying attention to his cock, Spider will do absolutely anything to keep you right there.
However, all Spider manages to get out is a breathless sounding "Nope" and a weak thrust of his hips in the general direction of your face.
Luckily, you get the message quickly, but you also wriggle your hips and then prepare yourself to properly sit down on his mouth again. Spider opens up obediently, letting the little nub of pleasure between your folds slide over his tongue before closing his lips around it to suck. Humming happily, you immediately fix your own mouth back over his cocky, but only tongue him lightly while fondling his balls.
With a grunt, Spider gets to work, his tongue swirls in rhythmic patterns around your clit, sucking and kissing before he dips his tongue into your slick entrance.
Meanwhile, you tighten your lips, bobbing your head until he is steadily leaking pre-cum across your tongue. Even though you had laid off the hard suction, it’s still nearly impossible for Spider to concentrate on what his own mouth is doing.  He’s much more interested in what your mouth is doing. More specifically your tongue. More specifically the tip of your tongue, which is nudging beneath the head of his cock and then teasing the slit like you’re trying to see how little effort you need to use to drive him insane.
Spider retaliates by sucking harder on your clit, gripping your hips and rocking you down against his face.
After a few minutes of that, you obviously think Spider must have it too easy, because without any warning, your hands reach down to gently knead his balls. Spider’s eyes cross and he groans, letting you find your own rhythm as you grind against his face because his tongue is fucking tired and because the wet, rhythmic squelching noise of his cock thrusting in and out of your mouth is something that has to be properly appreciated.
With one last slurp, you then pull your mouth away from his dick, face wet with spit and sweat and pre-cum. Time to up the stakes.
He wraps his hands around the backs of your thighs, just beneath the swell of your ass, and tugs, getting your hips to curl in just enough so he can stick his tongue into you as far as he could reach.
When Spider laps up all the sticky juices seeping out of you, you moan and the vibrations of it against his cock make his abs clench, pleasure fizzing in his gut.
It inspires you to twist your wrist and stroke his length with your hand where you mouth can’t reach, until Spider has to stop what he’s doing to grit his teeth and keep from thrusting down your open throat. The tightening coil of tension in his lower belly means he hasn’t got long, so he redoubles his efforts, holding you open and licking into you ferociously.
Before long, though, the combination of your mouth and spit covered palms have him right on the knife edge, and he gives up on tormenting you with your tongue to lock his teeth around a generous mouthful of the ass in front of him.
You squeak and sucks so hard on his cock that for one horrible second Spider is worried that it might actually come off, but then your hand twists and strokes upward in just the right angle that he literally explodes down your throat, shuddering helplessly as his dick pulses in the sublime wet heat of your mouth.
Apparently Spider must have zoned out pretty thoroughly after that, because you’re now flicking the head of his painfully oversensitive cock and groan, "Spider, focus."
"Fucking told you", the man moans, burying his face back against your pussy. He’d made the multitasking thing very clear to you before this whole thing began, but whatever.
You can’t help but giggle when Spider gently pushes you off of him. He shuffles around quickly, tossing you into position like a ragdoll, until you have your head at the foot of the bed and he’s laying down on his stomach between your thighs, looking entirely too pleased with himself as he licks his lips and dives back down to finish what he had started.
Now he can focus.

“What’s your dream, y/n?” Neteyam whispered, surveying you. He took in the sight that he saw in front of him; you sitting next to him, the purple and blue lights of the cave illuminating your face and your body. You looked magical to him, celestial, even. You bit back a smile, this man was ridiculous.
“Seriously? The first question you ask me and it couldn’t be something like "what's your favorite color?"” you turned your gaze towards him, his signature smirk already spread across his face. He spread his legs as he sat on the dark blue floor of the cave, legs submerged in the water. He rested his forearms on his lap and folded his hands together.
“That’s not a fun question. And I already know what it is.” he chuckles, as you scrunch up your nose and forehead, crossing your arms. “No you don’t.” you say in skepticism. “It’s yellow.” he smiled, amused that you didn’t yet understand how observant he was.
You angled your head sideways, how’d he know? Not even your brother knew your favorite color. “I can see it,” he began, still smiling. “It’s the color of the shell you just placed on the wall. You tend to look at yellow things longer than others. You also seem like a yellow sort of person.”
You tried to keep calm, to not show obviously that he was right. He noticed the shell? He’d noticed how your eyes brightened up ever so slightly when you saw something yellow; something less common in the area that you took the Sullys diving in.
“Yellow sort of person?” you said in a stern voice, wishing for him to elaborate yet still not wanting to give him the satisfaction of being right, but the way your gaze softened betrayed you.
He let out a quick exhale, feeling slightly prouder of himself now that he knew he was right. “You know, you are really good at hiding what you really feel inside. You always seem so calm and put together, but really you’re teeming with energy and passion. I can see it in your eyes.” he said, never breaking eye contact with you.
He could read you so well, yet he’d only known you for 2 days.
“You were much happier today compared to yesterday. I can tell you love the ocean,” he pauses, the calmness in his tone contorting into a playful one, “well, much happier except for when you started attacking me like a–” you slapped the side of his neck where his vocal chords were, preventing him from finishing the sentence to which he threw his head back and laughed.
You couldn’t help but admire him as he did so, his cute smile making you forget what he said just moments ago. His hair was undeniably light and flowy, always shaking around with his movements or whipping wildly in the wind. You felt blood rush to your cheeks, hiding it by looking down at the water pool below you.
A plethora of bioluminescent algae waved around on the bottom of the pool, the attractive light stretching through the water and shining on your feet. Your ears fluttered, hearing he wasn’t laughing anymore, and you looked at him, meeting his gaze.
He was truly beautiful. Freakishly annoying at times, but thoughtful and kind. A small smile snuck its way onto your face, mirroring his.
“You never answered the question. What’s your dream, lover of the sea?” he whispered, his thick omaticayan accent yet again causing a slight shiver to run down your spine. You took a deep breath in and sighed, you were really about to spill your guts to someone who was supposed to be a complete stranger.
But to you it felt like you had already known him your entire life.
“My dream is to be free,” you breathed, eyes twinkling with longing as you looked at him, whether it was longing for him or longing for freedom, you were unsure. “I want to be able to run wild, go wherever I want without having to worry about everyone else.”
“I want to explore every inch of Pandora that there is,” you finished, leaning back and using your arms to support your body. His little smile grew into a full blown grin. “What? Too unrealistic?” you unconsciously bit the inside of your lip, worried he’d think you were being absurd. “No. It’s a beautiful dream. I just didn’t realize how similar we are.” he said, placing his hand near yours on the hard rock.
“We are?” you asked, tilting your head. “Yeah.” he chuckles. “Same dream, same thing holding us back. We care too much about our loved ones.” You look at him, knitting your nonexistent brows together. So he felt like that too? He noticed your worried expression and quickly changed the topic. “It’s your turn to ask me a question.”
“Okay then mighty warrior,” you put a finger to your chin, pretending to think. You were in fact concerned about him, but if he didn’t want to talk about it you wouldn’t push it. “Do you like boys or girls?” you asked, your facial features now wearing a complacent grin.
His ears turned dark purple, although his face stayed neutral. “What, hm, what would make you ask that question?” he stammered, confident facade faltering before you. “Don’t change the subject Neteyam, just answer it!” you teased.
You hated when he messed with you, but when it was the other way around, boy did you have fun.
He coughs, “Well, I’m okay with both.” “Both? Why Neteyam, I didn’t know you were such a player.” you playfully hit him on his shoulder, cackling. “You know that's not what I meant! I, I can have romantic interest in either! How about you then?” he asks, huffing and crossing his arms.
“Hm well, same with you,” you answered, “But my type is tall, strong omaticayans, mainly the handsome ones,” you grin, giving him a look. “Preferably older than me.”
He smirks at your statements, cocking his head to the side. His arrogant little self was back, but you already knew how you were going to humble him.
“Oh yeah? I think I know someone who fits that description.” he commented, pleasure dancing around in his eyes, thinking you were talking about him. You decided to indulge in his little fantasy. “Mmm, I think you know him very well,” you smile.
What he did next made your heart stop; he leaned in suddenly, looking down at your lips and then closing his eyes. This was not the plan, he was about to kiss you! But you weren’t going to let him do that, at least not so easily.
You placed a finger on his lips, stopping his advances. He opened his eyes, looking into yours, slightly confused, and you leaned into his ear and whispered, “It’s your dad.”
Tumblr media
You were clutching your stomach, howling with laughter as Neteyam sat at the opposite corner of the cave to you, glaring daggers and frowning. “You- You should have seen your face– It was so funny–” you said in between laughter, pointing at the omaticayan. His frown grew bigger, then he mumbled something you couldn’t hear. “Wha, what was that?” you wiped a tear from your eye as he got up from his sitting position, a sullen look on his face.
“I said, I’ll show you what’s really funny!” he repeated, and you let out a scream as he lunged at you, pushing you into the water pool. You flailed your arms around helplessly in the water as he started to tickle your sides, sending you into an uncontrollable fit of laughter. His movement was limited, however, due to the water slowing him down.
Out of instinct, you pulled his hair, dragging his head down into the water with you. The next 7 minutes consisted of kicking each other, trying to get away in the water before being dragged by the foot back to the middle of the pool, as the gill mantle looked on from the corner in absolute terror watching two na’vi seemingly try to rip each other's heads off.
After a while you both were exhausted, crawling onto the rock steps and back onto the little platform. You collapsed on your back, looking up to the miraculously picturesque ceiling, breathing heavily and trying to regain your energy. He did the same, and you both were just sprawled out, sopping wet and heaving in the middle of the floor.
You both turned your heads simultaneously, looking at each other. When you both made eye contact, seeing one another equally disheveled and exhausted beyond belief made you want to burst out into laughter. You fought to try and contain the smile that appeared on your face, but your body would not listen. It was happy, and so were you. Neteyam was holding back as well, biting his lip to prevent him from laughing and resulting in a rather ugly face he was making.
You snorted, and then the two of you erupted into little childish fits of giggles. This would definitely be a strange sight to see, you thought to yourself. You wondered for a second how your father would react to seeing you messing around with a boy like little kids, but in the end you didn’t care.
You sat up, still drenched from head to toe, lifting up your arm and holding your hand out. “Truce?” you offered, a devious smile on your face. He took your hand to lift him up from the floor, and he pulled a face as if he was considering your oh so kind offer. “Truce.”
The next few hours you spent with neteyam felt like pure bliss. The unfamiliar feeling of such warmth spread throughout your body, but you welcomed it with your whole heart. You two cracked jokes, teased each other until you turned purple, touching and hitting each other for fun.
He had taught you some english, more specifically the slang, and in return you had taught him how to properly hold his breath, placing your hands on his stomach and chest to assist. The beating of his heart quickened when you felt his body, and you simply pretended not to know why. “Calm yourself, Nete.” you say in a low voice, and it makes his heartbeat even faster for the use of the nickname.
He was only able to look at you and hear your voice as he sucked in a breath, embracing the feeling of your touch. He wished to take your hand in his and hold it for the longest time, to wrap you in a tight hug and whisper sweet nothings in your ear of how beautiful you were and even more so how stunning your mind was.
You were a thoughtful soul, akin to his own. He almost cursed Eywa for making a creature with a spirit as effervescent as yours, yet condemning you to be trapped within your cage of responsibilities. If you wanted to run away with him one day and leave everything behind, he would say yes faster than you could say his name.
You clapped your hands together in front of his face, unknowingly pulling him out of his lovesick trance. “Nete?? Pay attention to me. You don’t just get lessons from the person next in line to be olo’eyktan and just get lost in your own thoughts,” you rolled your eyes, unable to recognize the loving look in his gaze when he looked at you.
“Sorry,” he mumbled, trying to push you out of his mind even though you were right in front of him. He had been interested in you since the day you both met, of course he did, you defended his family in front of a crowd of your people after all.
But now that he’d gotten to know you better, he was enraptured by your presence. You had locked his heart up in a cage and kept the key for yourself, and he let you do so. There was just something about you that made him feel all tingly and warm and fuzzy inside.
“Mhm.” Why was he so unfocused? “Do you know how long we’ve been in here?” His eyes snapped up to yours and he shook his head. “I’ll check, give me a bit.” you step into the water and disappear, leaving him alone in the dim cave.
Inhaling deeply, his eyes roam around as he sits in place, closely examining the carvings on the walls, until one of them in particular catches his attention. The carving of a giant sea creature sits in the corner, the grooves gently sparkling because of a paste or paint of some sort. He gets up, indulging in his curiosity. The sea creature had tattoos like your parents, but upon closer observation he saw that it was incomplete, breaking off at the edges near the eye of the creature.
He traced his finger across the carved out tattoo, feeling into the damp crevices. The crevices felt abnormal, rough on the insides and scraping against the pad of his pointer finger, leaving a glittery sheen of moist paste on it. He bent down, eyes narrowing to take a closer look at the indentatio– “Neteyam!” he whips his head around to you emerging from the water in a panic, shaking the water from your hair. “It is almost daytime, you must go now!”
“Shit.” he mutters, scampering towards the water and swiftly making tsaheylu with the still-traumatized gill mantle. Right as he’s about to disappear through the tunnel, he makes the decision to look at you waist deep in the water, as if it would be the last time he would ever. “What are you doing? Go now! We cannot let anyone know we were together” you shoo him away. “I can’t believe you want me gone so soon, paskalin.” he fake frowns to hide his glee in seeing the way your eyes widened in shock at the pet name.
You wanted to scold him, to slap him or hit him or punch him, but he dipped into the tunnel with that same old smirk on his face yet again, leaving you shaken. You couldn’t believe the events that happened that day; you showed Neteyam your second home, something you hadn’t even shown to your brother or sister.
You admitted to him your regrets, dreams and aspirations without thinking twice; perhaps he would tell his whole family? You knew he wasn’t like that, but something gnawed at the bottom of your soul, making you unnecessarily anxious. Worry lines appeared on your forehead as you sat in silence, making a prayer to Eywa while waiting until you deemed it safe to go out.
Tumblr media
For the next week and a half, you’d been avoiding Neteyam, only saying quick greetings to him until you hurried away to help Lo’ak, Kiri or Tuk. But never him. You were scared. He did say stuff to you occasionally but you always ignored it, never giving him a chance to ask you about why you had been ignoring him either.
You and your siblings agreed it was time to teach the omaticayans how to ride the ilu, and today was the first day. Unfortunately, you had fallen victim to the worst villain of all; oversleeping.
“These are ilu,” Ao’nung explained. “If you want to live here, you have to ride.” your little brother had taken your role of being the main teacher to the omaticayans in your absence, the ilu swimming in circles serenely around him.
You spotted the group from afar in the sand and raised your hand high to wave at them, Lo’ak noticed you first and elbowed Neteyam painfully in the gut. As soon as you were deep enough in the water, your favorite ilu, Azea, swam right up next to you, clicking in joy of seeing you again. You lit up, caressing her on her forehead lovingly. “Azea, I’ve missed you!” It had been a long time since you’ve met her, since she’d given birth, she had been too weak to be ridden.
You connected your queues together, feeling her strength and pride surge through your own body after she had successfully birthed 3 healthy baby ilus, as well as her love for them. You smiled, getting on her back and patting it gently, motioning her to move forward towards the group.
Before you could even apologize for being late, Neteyam spoke up. “Well someone’s late. Sleep well?” you sent him an unamused look, brushing away his attempts at interaction with you again.
It was a gorgeous morning like any other, the daylight descended beautifully from the sky refracting into the ocean, making those wonderfully familiar abstract lines of light on the warm sea. You disconnected your queue from Azea’s, signing thank you. You tread through the water and stood next to Tsireya while Ao’nung continued explaining what the correct position was for riding.
A far off look was marked on her face, her eyes pointed downwards to the sand below her and she fiddled with her thumbs. Had something happened that you didn't know of? “Psst.” you whispered, and she snapped out of her daze, looking at you. “Oh! I’m sorry that I haven’t greeted you yet, y/n, I was thinking about something.” she apologized, signing a greeting. She definitely looked distraught, her ears were tense and pointed towards the sky.
“Are you okay? Did something bad happen?” you put a hand on her back worriedly, it wasn't like her to be so jittery this early in the morning. Normally she would have a bright smile on her face, excited for the day ahead and what adventures awaited her, but now she just seemed conflicted, troubled about something. “No no, it’s nothing like that. But can we talk about it later? I’m sorry,” she sighed, unable to meet your gaze.
“It’s alright, sister. When you are ready, I will be here for you.” you reassured her, rubbing her back and she gave you a smile, grateful that you were so understanding. “If anyone hurt you, I will make sure to feed them to the akula.” you grin, and she covered her giggle with her hand.
At last, Ao’nung had finished his explanation, and the omaticayans dispersed with a metkayina each to instruct them. Tsireya went with Lo’ak and Rotxo went with Tuk. You sent Neteyam off with Ao’nung, much to their dismay (but Ao’nung would have been unhappy either way), and you were left with Kiri and a gorgeously light purple ilu that had been swimming around her since she joined Ao’nung’s lecture.
“His name is Kahäì. I noticed he took a liking to you earlier, so I figured it would be best to start with him,” you say, crossing your arms as Kiri happily played around with Kahäì. “He might not continue to like you after you make the bond, though. Some ilus are just like that.”
“Well I think we’ll get along just fine, don’t you, Kahäì?” she paid no heed to your warning, continuing to playfully splash little amounts of water onto the ilu’s back and fins. Your heart warmed at the thought of seeing a new friendship bloom like yours and Azea’s, observing how Kiri’s eyes had lit up when she realised she would be bonding with an ilu that day.
“Make the bond gently. Try taking what Ao’nung said before and applying it in your own posture now.” you gave an encouraging smile, which she really didn’t need.
Just moments later, you and Kiri were circling around each other on your ilus inside the ocean having the time of your lives being surrounded by the multicoloured schools of fish, warm rays of light leading the way as you both twirled around under a rock structure shaped like an archway. She spotted her brothers swimming after each other and joined in the chase, dragging you into it as well.
The way the water tried to push back your body as you told Azea to go faster sent your heart into a rush, you were smiling so hard as you tried to catch Kiri’s free hand, swallowing water when you saw Lo’ak almost get flinged off his ilu trying to catch his brother. The female omaticayan in front of you started leading Kahäì up to the surface and breaking off from the chain, and you realised she was out of breath, tailing her just in case.
She whipped her hair around when she resurfaced, taking in deep breaths before you emerged right after her. “You did great, Kiri!” you congratulate her. You hadn’t ever seen anyone as in touch with their ilu on the first ride, much less someone from the forest. She smiled in return, but it quickly disappeared once she saw the pained expression on your face. You felt a sharp stabbing pain in your body, your hand quickly flying to clutch your stomach.
“Y/n! Are you alright?” She inched Kahäì closer to you, the purple ilu nudging his head gently against Azea’s neck worriedly. You could feel every bit of her pain, disconnecting your queue from hers hurriedly. “I am, but she’s not.” you breathed out, rubbing circles on her back as she grunted in agony.
Tumblr media
“Will she be alright?” Kiri asks as she puts a hand on your shoulder and squeezes it, eyebrows furrowed. You suck in a breath. You were both crouching down in the sand in the middle of the day after you led an injured Azea back to the ilu pen where she would receive care from the healers there, and you just felt so incredibly guilty about the whole ordeal. Had you not raced with her, perhaps she wouldn’t have been going through such pain.
“Yeah,” you sigh. “They said she would be fine but I can’t ride her for the time being.” you say, cupping your hands in your face. “You should go, Kiri. Don’t let my sour mood spoil the rest of your day, alright?” you look up to her, giving her a sheepish grin. She nods and gives you space, and you bury your face into your hands again.
You took a deep breath in, repeating to yourself in your heart that it wasn’t your fault in an attempt to lessen the guilt that was crushing your lungs.
Another breath. This time you concentrated on the sounds around you; the leaves of the trees behind you rustled in the light breeze, the waves crashed gently against the sand, water touching the tips of your toes.
Inhale. You heard the fluttering of wings soaring above you and the tiny pitter patters of the little crabs scurrying across the beach. Exhale.
Inhale. You heard the soft shifting of sand; someone was walking, nearing your location from your right. Exhale.
Inhale. You have half a mind to run. Exhale.
Inhale. You don’t have the energy for that. Exhale.
Inhale. They’re coming closer now. Exhale.
Inhale. You turned your head away from your hands, and the first thing you saw were legs heading towards your crouched form, interstellar blue stripes adorning them. You squint, eyes still adjusting to the light, unable to discern which Sully sibling was walking towards you. But you certainly had a guess.
“Y/n?” a low voice asked you, and the accent gave it away. Exhale.
“Hi, Nete.” you responded, mindlessly putting your arms over each other, blankly staring into the horizon. He sat next to you, crossing his legs. You waited for him to say something, but he didn’t. Instead he was gazing straight ahead, looking into the waters.
“Are you going to say something?” you ask him. “I think it is you who has something to say to me, y/n.” he rolls his eyes, tracing patterns into the damp sand. You kept quiet, knowing he was upset you had been ignoring him.
He turned to you. “The last time we actually talked was that night. You ignored me completely for more than a week, and then you sent me off training with your stupid brother this morning, which is really the worst of it all.” he huffed. You looked at him, astonished. He had a small sad smile on his face as he drew a frowny face in the beige sand.
You sigh, feeling ashamed of yourself. You felt unnerved telling him about your escapades, yet you just ran away from him like you did every other problem in your life. “Forgive me, Neteyam. I did not mean to be so distant. I was just….I don’t know.” you muttered, the sinking feeling in your stomach dropping lower because you couldn’t even find the words to explain to him how you felt.
“No words have to be said.” he gave you a small smile. “But, I must ask you,” he looked into your eyes; it was the first time you’d really looked at him in a week. His golden eyes made a little home in your heart, and you welcomed them with open arms. “Was it because of me?” his voice was barely above a whisper, eyes searching your face.
You bit the inside of your lip, shaking your head. “Of course not. I was just too busy trying to protect myself. And my heart,” you placed a hand on your chest, feeling your heartbeat quicken. “Well that’s good to know.” he nodded, breaking eye contact to look back down at the small frowny face, already washed away by the foamy waves.
He uncrossed his legs, using a hand to push himself up. “Come. Let’s take a walk.” he extended his hand, a half-smile turning up one side of his mouth. You gaped at him, a flush creeping through your face as you realised how he absolutely towered over you in this position. You took his hand and pulled yourself up, and you both walked in tandem along the beach. You confided in him, telling him about what happened to Azea.
Your hands dangled close to each other as you finished, voice trailing off. The urge to take his hand and interlock your pinkies together was insane, to the point that you almost did so.
“I’m sorry that happened. But if Azea is anything like you then she’ll be fine, I’m sure of it.” he smiled to himself. “It already happened, don’t get too worked up about it.” he looked at you, noticing your gaze fixed on the both of your hands. A wry smile appeared on his face, and he was about to tease you, until he heard the mocking voices of others ahead.
Your brothers and his friends surrounded Kiri and Lo’ak, you could hear that they were calling them ''baby tails'' and laughing at them, and before you could even say anything, Neteyam was already stomping towards them, movement poisoned with anger. He pushed your brother away by the shoulder and you walked towards them, arms crossed. “You heard what she said.” he spat, words laced with venom. You hadn’t seen him so angry before.
“Leave them alone.” he threatened, a finger stabbed to Ao’nung’s chest. One of his friends stepped up behind him, mocking Neteyam. “Aha, big brother coming to the–” Ao’nung raised an arm, stopping him mid sentence. “Back. Off.” he spoke through gritted teeth, and your little brother raised his arms.
Annoyance was written all over your face. Seriously? What kind of things are your brother and his friends getting up to? You scanned the group, checking if Rotxo was present. You saw no sign of him, sighing in relief. If Rotxo was encouraging this type of behavior you would have to tell your father that he was in fact, not a good influence on his son.
You guessed Ao’nung didn’t see you with Neteyam, because as the omaticayans stepped away, he and his friends huddled together, blatantly calling them and their whole family freaks even though he knew they were in earshot. Your jaw tensed, what the hell?
Lo’ak turned and stalked towards him, intent hidden. “I know this hand is funny. Look, I’m a freak. Alien.” he wiggled his littlest finger, Ao’nung looking at him with a cheshire smile.
“But it can do something really cool. Watch. First I ball the top really tight like this, okay?” he curled his fingers into a tight ball. Your eyes widened, knowing what he was about to do. “Then–” he punched your brother square in the face, and you audibly gasped even though you knew it was going to come. He punched a second time, and a third, knocking Ao’nung into the sand with a bloody nose.
You stood there in shock. Watching someone beat up your brother right in front of you was something you never, ever thought would happen, but there it was. “It’s called a punch, bitch! Don’t ever touch my sister again!” you recognized the word from last week, Neteyam had told you it was an offensive and insulting word.
You were in a dilemma. Your brother had been punched and knocked to the ground, so you were supposed to save him, right? But then again, he had done something inexcusable for his age and status, mocking others in front of their face. Perhaps he deserved this. But it was your duty as his protector and older sibling to save him. Ao’nung and his friends hissed back at Lo’ak and a full on fight had commenced, he tackled Lo’ak into the water and the omaticayan punched him in the face.
Ao’nung’s friend pulled Lo’ak’s tail, and you were about to put a stop to it until you saw Neteyam joining the fight. “AGHH MY EAR! LET GO!!” your brother shrieked in pain, Kiri couldn’t help but laugh even though she was shouting at them to stop just moments ago. You had enough. You walked right up to them, crossing your arms and locking eyes with one of Ao’nung’s friends, sending him a death glare.
His ears flattened and he stopped pulling Lo’ak’s tail. Soon enough everyone including your brother had noticed you staring at them with a harsh look in your eye, arms crossed and tail raised. They knew they were all in deep shit.
Tumblr media
“How could you say such things!” Ronal stressed, hands massaging her temples. Ao’nung was down on one knee on the floor of your family’s marui, looking down expressionless. You sat on a hammock in the corner, watching with your arms crossed. You had brought him to the healers tent to stop his bleeding nose after the fight finished. Around that time your mother was usually out collecting herbs, but instead she was there when you both walked in.
She interrogated you and your brother about his injury, about to explode in anger at the person who hurt his son. You had no choice but to tell the truth, Ao’nung avoiding her gaze in shame and fear of her reaction. The look on her face was no less than terrifying, similar to her expression now. Your father was there too, angered. “Ao’nung, what excuse do you have for instigating a fight with Jake Sully’s family?” he asked calmly, but you knew that he was fuming on the inside.
“None, father.” Ao’nung muttered, knowing to look into his father’s eyes when responding. You could do nothing but watch the scene unfold, your lips in a tight line. You truly felt bad for your brother, you cared for him so. But what he did was horrible, and you couldn’t save him past that point. Your father let out a long, disappointed sigh, your brother’s ears flattening in response.
“What were you thinking? You are the son of the olo’eyktan. You’re supposed to be a role model, not a disappointment.” Tonowari scolded him, Ao’nung’s facial expression unchanging. “Where did you learn this type of behavior? Because I certainly didn’t teach you any of this.”
The pit in your heart fell deeper and deeper with every word you heard your father say to your brother. You never liked seeing either of your siblings scolded, especially when you couldn’t defend them. You felt helpless, just watching as your parents scolded him for his insolence. They were loving and understanding, but on the rare occasions that you or your siblings messed up, they could make your blood run cold with just one look.
Tsireya strolled in, face beaming. “Father, mother! I have something to–” she broke off mid sentence, heart plummeting at the sight of her brother down on her knees, parents seething with anger practically radiating off of them. Your father exhaled through his nose, closing his eyes. “Y/n, get your sister out of here. We will deal with Ao’nung on our own.”
Your brother's eyes flickered upwards, meeting yours. His teal eyes flashed with fear, begging you to not go as you stood up. You gave him an apologetic look, this was out of your hands. You walked, steps heavy with a potent mixture of guilt and regret, towards your sister, gesturing to her to follow you outside.
You both walked away from the marui, and you explained what happened to Tsireya, her ears straightening down in horror as she heard about the fight. “But how could he do such a thing! I knew he didn’t like them but I didn’t think it was to this extent!” she gasped, worry lines appearing on her forehead.
“I’m not sure what got into him. But I feel partially responsible. If I had just stopped the fight sooner, none of this would have just happened.” you sighed, feeling horrible for something that yet again was your fault. It seemed to you that you were just messing everything up nowadays. “That’s nonsense. You are not responsible for his actions.” she reassured you, pressing her lips together.
“But I was there, ‘Reya. I could have stopped all of this.” you wrung your hands together, mumbling. She didn’t respond for a while, and you knew it was because she couldn’t say anything to make you feel better. “How about we go for a swim? It’ll take our minds off things.” she offered, taking your hand into hers.
You didn’t really feel like it, but her eyes glimmered with hope. She was trying her best and that was all that mattered to you. “Sure.” you smiled. “I’ll race you!” you yelled, sprinting past her into the water. She lept after you. “That’s not fair!” she called out to you, and you laughed, your feet digging into the wet sand below you.
Swimming with Tsireya was therapeutic in a way. You both marveled at the beauty hidden underneath the ocean’s surface, harvesting some shells for your mother and twirling around nonsensically, the water flowing and carrying you both around.
Eclipse fell, and you both agreed it was time to return home, hoping that the atmosphere would not be as bad as it was previously. You trudged out of the water, laughing together. As you dried yourself off with your hands, wiping excess water off your body as she did, you remembered that she wanted to tell your parents something. “Reya?”
“Yes?” she responded, a bright smile on her face. Swimming certainly lifted up her mood. “What was it that you wanted to tell mother and father?” you asked, watching her movement carefully to see whether it was a touchy subject or not. “Oh,” she pursed her lips, looking at you. “It’s what I was thinking about this morning.”
You raised your nonexistent eyebrows, egging her to go on. She blinked, mustering up the words to say. “I…I think I like Lo’ak.” she smiled sheepishly, awaiting your reaction. Your jaw dropped. “Really?” “..yes…is there something wrong?” “nononono! I was just surprised, that’s all!” Your smile turned into a smirk.
“Ooooo my little sister’s got a little crushhh doesn’t she!” you teased, elbowing her side lightly. Her face turned bright purple, lowering her head to avoid your gaze. “I was frustrated this morning because I thought that our parents wouldn’t be accepting. But, it’s what I feel. And if they can’t accept it then so be it.” she huffed, crossing her arms.
“What?” a male voice said from behind you. You both whirled around, looking at Ao’nung looking at you both with accusing eyes. “Ao’nung!” Tsireya smiled, seeing her brother. “How was–” “Shut up!” he barked, nostrils flaring. She backed up, surprised. Her brother had never said anything like that to her, ever.
You bared your teeth, angered. “What’s gotten into yo–” “You too! I can’t believe you both are betraying me!” he hissed, marching towards the both of you, strides purposeful and daring either of you to say anything to him. “What?” you asked in disbelief. Betraying him? What the hell was this all about?
“You both are seriously falling in love with those stupid forest people? What’s up with that!” his voice rose with each passing word, words barely concealing the rage that simmered just beneath the surface. “What are you talking abou–” he interrupted you again, “Don’t act dumb! I’ve seen the way you look at that skxawng, Neteyam. I’ve seen how he sneaks glances at you during training!” he stabbed his finger towards your chest, words piercing your heart.
“So what! What’s wrong with that?” Tsireya shouted at him, ears pressed to her head. “What’s wrong?” he growled, tears welling up in Tsireya’s eyes. “They are not one of us! They will never be one of us. Why are you betraying your family like this?” he hissed. “There is nothing wrong with liking them, Ao’nung! What on Pandora has gotten into you!” you pushed him back, infuriated at his ridiculous actions.
“So you’re on their side? Is that it?” his voice was low and menacing, threatening to tear apart your heart. You couldn’t recognise the desperate look in Ao’nung’s eyes, he looked at you as if he was fighting the world with nobody to help him. Tsireya hid behind you, wiping her tears and sniffing. You couldn’t answer him, simply looking at him eyes narrowed  like he was manic.
He sucked in a breath through his teeth, “So there’s my answer.” he pushed past you, storming away. You stood speechless, patting Tsireya’s back as she cried into your torso.

Ok jesus 😭 you would not believe how happy I am to finally be able to post this, it’s seriously been a while. As alwayyssss, feedback and reblogs are appreciated greatly, and you may check my masterlist if you wish to see my other works! I do indeed remember saying that there would be tons of Neteyam headcanons in this part but i cancelled that cause i deemed it would be way too long (sorry omg)
I would also like to add that i am open for requestsss

Asking you about your ska troll concept! They look so cool and I would love to learn more about them
@shadow-ray4 thank you for asking, genuinely was positive that no one would ask 😅😣 but I am HAPPY to share! To start here are the full refs I've done so far and explain as much of the concept as I've developed in my brain lmaooo (ALL MAJOR DEETS undercut cause its gonna be LONG)
@goldendaydna also helped with this and lowkey a concept we are semi working out since her sona Golden Tempo is an Urbano Troll (a recently named concept lol)
Tumblr media
Ska Trolls are Big, Bright, and BOLD. Together, these elements create an energetic, highly danceable, highly vibe-able troll genre. They also explode into confetti and confections when excited or surprised. Dont worry they pop back up as if nothing even happened leaving a pile of candy and crepe paper on the ground. (Ska trolls are super popular with the kids.) They practically live for the music, known for dancing for several days straight with hardly a rhyme or reason to stop.

*Like even the smallest of surprises just make em POP! (Bonus Branch doodle cause why not??)
Adara, my sona, is a 4th Generation Ska Troll (her father being a 3rd Gen while her mama is a punk rock troll) so TECHNICALLY shes Ska-punk, but she still has the appearance of your standard Ska Troll so it's more a music specific.
Her great great grandparents being a reggae leaning funk troll and a rocksteady leaning funk troll who formed The Underground after being seemingly left behind along with other alt/subgenres of the main 6 kingdoms when they split. A place for alternative trolls like herself and her friends could live and PARTY HARD without micro judgments against their music. It's a haven for other trolls who feel they dont quite fit a specific genre or even one at all, but also HELLA secluded from the rest of the Trolls so they look different and SOUND different. (Cave acoustics and all) The surface likely gets trimmers and even earthquakes from their raging parties. (I'm still fleshing this out but I have this piece of "concept art")
Tumblr media
*Its literally a bioluminescent shroom town. Like glowing mushroom homes, food, ect- glow worms on the cave ceiling like stars in a night sky. All the various alternative genre of trolls have like a glowy eye thing that allows them to just see naturally in the dark too-
*these were some posters I took heavy color influence from for Adara's pallet (I know they arent all ska, but punk, reggae, and rocksteady aesthetics were an addition)
Tumblr media
Obviously I took most inspo from pinatas, party/confetti poppers, and the sorts mainly because the funk trolls poop...well. baked goods and I wanted to play off that but lean into the crazy evolution the trolls have canonically in the universe that foam at the mouth for 👀 🤲 But I wanted to make sure her colors and patterns gave off not just Funk influence, but also micro subculture influences that are within The Underground. (This including but not not limited to, how closely Ska Trolls were to the Urbano Trolls communities within The Underground)
*Exchanged tassels and stringy fur textures for more paper textures. Like literally walking, talking, breathing pinatas fr
Tumblr media
*Queen Essence I love yuuuu
Tumblr media Tumblr media
They are bigger than the average Funk troll and have very similar features to them, but texture and color wise are very different. They much more vibrant and staturated. Giving a mix of felt and crepe paper. They have tails as sortve as an evolutionary trait but also it gives maximum party mode as it can hold objects and act as an extra hand. Their ears are also longer and slimmer, making it harder for them to lift or perk up so they stay droopy unlike their funk counterparts. They are all naturals at brass instruments (mainly trumpet) and ALWAYS have a hop in their step.
Tumblr media
*edit if the pics keep messing up... imma have to just remake the post 😭

General Hc's for Colonel Miles Quraitch
Tumblr media
❀ A/n: Ofc it was a giant blue mean alien that got me out of writer's block omfg, this is for the girlies and everyone else down bad for our baby daddy Colonel Miles Quaritch
*.·:·.✧ ✦ ✧.·:·.*
✿ starting at number one, I like to think this man honestly got another voice in the back of his head going ‘bro-wtf goin' on?’ ‘cause lets be fr he's got the memories but his actual body doesn’t have that experience and I just feel like they don’t  match up so a lot of the time after his initial thoughts he’ll have a little voice after that voicing concerns but he can’t afford to listen
✿ because of this, especially after he sees his body again, his human body, bro is having an extensional crisis, I think all of them are honestly (but we won’t get into them we talking about our main hoe rn) because I’m sure with their new bodies and feelings they have absolutely no time to process anything because of their mission, not their deaths, not their re-birth and definitely not their new connection and pull to Eywa and the planet
✿ and yes I 100% believe that he does have a connection to Eywa now because of this new body and the energy it holds, the plant and the all mother recognizes this and welcomes him, just like she did with Jake, he was just more willing to listen
✿ at night Quaritch (Miles? Idk lmao) likes to walk around outside. he never used to when he was human because it was just a hassle and obviously he was more vulnerable, his old scars were proof enough, but now he was Na’vi, he could breathe the air with no problem and kick anyone's or anything’s ass that tried to get the jump on him
✿ he looooves the bioluminescent nature, it's so different from what he remembers of earth's plants, the few he did get to see, or saw in books before he was shipped off to pandora. But being so fucking for real? He thinks it's soooo pretty like bro just lets the inner child out and is mentally frolicking in a meadow looking at all this incredible nature and all the animals and organisms that live in it
✿ he likes to fuck with the fan lizards the most, like jumping and scaring them or throwing a rock towards them to scare them, he loves to watch them fly away and disperse amongst the giant canopies of the trees, they remind him of fireflies (CAN I JUST SAY I KNOW THE LOOK ON HIS FACE IS SO CUTE WHEN HES LOOKING UP WITH THAT LIL SMILE)
✿ I also 100% believe the headcanon that he loves the fruit on pandora like he didn’t fw it at first but it grew on him fast and bro will just snack on them like he finds a bush of berries he knows he can eat?? That bush finna be clear by the time he is done with it and best believe he even ate the non-ripe ones too because he likes that extra sourness
✿ his favorite is this fruit that grows really high and looks like stars from the forest floor, but as you climb up closer you realize they are glowing pieces of fruit the size of an orange with smooth blue skin, like a plum. he loves biting into them, they're juicy like mango and the juice is fluorescent!! bro thinks that is so cool lmao and looked in the water and smiled with a glowing mouthful of fruit
✿ he is one of the few who wake up first in the morning and has a nice cup of coffee while he waits for everyone else to get up and ready so they can debrief and get to work, it's his moment of calm before he starts his day and he just likes to take his time to remember. He wants to remember as much as possible, anything that could help with the mission of course but almost literally anything else. he feels like a stranger in his own body and he feels like he needs to get to know himself because he knows one thing for sure, he is not the same colonel as before
✿ when he takes spider as a hostage, he starts using this time to remember him and his mother Paz, she was beautiful but he didn’t feel as strongly for her as it appeared she had for him as he looked back, and although there were some memories of spider, it wasn’t nearly as much as he thought there should have been
✿ it kinda bothers him why he can’t figure out why he suddenly cares but like I said he has like no time to process this at all, this mf on the go all the time
✿ another headcanon I love is he loves flying which is 100% true, bro can never go back it is the funnest shit he has ever done, like he loves the danger of it and the ease of it is so comfortable for him it’s hard to believe the creature beneath him isn’t a machine hooked up to his brain but rather another animal with its own conscious and emotions
✿ since he flys so much, he has a really good relationship with his Ikran. He loves to spoil her THAT'S RIGHT HER (he was shocked too ong) but he loves his little princess bro!! Best believe he turns into a Jay Pritchett from modern family with his little Stella!! I’m talking treats, I'm talking good scratches behind the wing joints and on the tail, and I’m talking playful fighting!
✿ they have a good relationship and trust each other and because of this his Ikran likes to get a little sneaky, she’ll stalk him when watching the crew do their thing, scouting and looking for stuff for his mission, she gets mischievous, diving down to grapple him to the floor
✿ obviously he’s a little taken off guard but he knows almost immediately that it's her and rolls around with her, tossing each other around for a bit only for all fun and smiles to cease when the click of a gun is heard not too far. Quaritch is quick to get up and out of their play and give the meanest, menacing deathly glare towards Lyle, or Z-Dog, or whoever the fuck was aiming that weapon at his best friend (basically)
✿ “And just what the hell do you think you are doing, Soldier?” They all just shit themselves, his aura wasn’t anything but deadly and they knew they had fucked up, a quick “sorry colonel” and they turn around to go fuck off somewhere else and stop causing problems
**✿❀NSFW❀✿**
❀ yes, I most definitely needed to add this because I feel like it even though I ain’t got much💀!!
❀ new body, new sensations ;) he loves his schlong lmao like I hate to put it that way but bro got some pride in being HUNG in that area (he lwk hung in every area but whateva) obviously he doesn’t hold dick-measuring contests (anymore) but if he did- yeah he would probs have them all beat
❀ definitely jerked off a few times, and definitely found new triggers. When he has a little time to himself and needs to blow off some steam, he unbuckles that belt quickly and pulls down his pants a bit to get to work. He’s found his queue is very sensitive when in this kind of situation, like yeah it's sensitive all the time BUT it’s especially when he's on the brink of an orgasm, he’ll tug on it a little, the throb sending shivers down his spine and pressure straight to his tip, already leaking profusely with precum, so ready to explode but it’s when he runs his hand down the braid and rubs the nodes of the queue between his fingers, rolling them gently he cums with a deep groan and shutters quietly, riding out one of the most intense orgasms he’s probably ever had lmao
❀ his tail is also sensitive, not quite as the queue but sensitive around the base, he found that out in the shower lol
❀ his ears!! Also sensitive to touch, esp the tips, he likes to feel them first to sort of get in the mood, his little personal foreplay before the fun part
❀ A/n: but for now that is all I have ladies and gentlemen, please request anything, he or one-shots, requests are now officially open again!!🫶

"You're Glowing Today"
I remembered that humans do actually glow. No, not in infrared waves, but in the actual visible light spectrum. You are literally glowing, moreso in the afternoon than at any other time of day. Mostly it's due to how the human body's metabolism works, how efficiently it's working at, and what time of the day our metabolism is most active at. If you think about it, the way you glow can reflect your physical and emotional health.
Unfortunately for us, we can't see ourselves glow; the light we emit is more than 1000x times weaker than what our eyes are accustomed to see. The only kind of glowing humans can see amongst ourselves is the red flush you see on others' faces after a full day workout in the sun.
But obviously, like a few animals on our own planet, there are alien species out there who've adapted to pick up on ultra-weak light rays. Reasons mostly being their homeworld is extremely dark, their source of nourishment emits some kind of electromagnetic wave, etc., etc. Venturing into the galaxy and beyond required them to build equipment that could filter out excessive input from other worlds and species, so they're hardly seen without sensory-dampeners.
One day, while on a mission with hir crew on a planet known for its impenetrable darkness, this light-sensitive species takes off hir gear designed to limit light input. Hir crewmates appear perfectly normal, save for their light-sensitive goggles. Except--
--now the human is glowing.
The alien is confused, at best. Ze quickly alerts everyone of the glowing human, who themselves are very confused; they didn't know humans remotely had the ability to glow.
With this new peculiar piece of information out in the open, the crew continues their mission. They make it back home, rest for a while, complete a few more missions, go through some drills. All is well; they forget they have a bioluminescent teammate with them.
That is, until the human gets sick. Space-faring is not a typical human activity, after all.
The light-sensitive species occasionally checks up on the human to make sure they're alright. The infirmary is pleasantly dark and quiet, with the sensory-dampening settings turned up to improve the human's rate of healing, but the light-sensitive can see just fine. Ze also notice that the human is glowing a lot brighter than before, typically around the forehead, eyes and nose.
Shortly after the human recovers, their glow lessens considerably.
After that, ze make note of the fluctuations in the humans bioluminescence. It's comparatively brighter during majority of the day, and dims a few hours before they sleep. Sickness, sorrow and grief are reflected by dull, slow beats of light, whereas shock and happiness are presented in rapid glimmering swirls.
The light-sensitive thinks one particular pattern -- the one where the glow ripples across the human's skin in gentle waves whenever the crew comes together -- is perhaps the most beautiful of them all.

Some redesign ideas I had for Eugene and the Pooka (or pookas since I assume they’re a species and not a singular entity) after watching S3. I honestly do like them how these turned out, so I’m hoping to use them for future projects and fanfic stories I have in mind, especially since I plan on doing more S3 redesigns soon if the interest for it is there.
Tumblr media
For Eugene, I took some inspiration from the original myth of the Nordic Nixie, water spirits that attract women, children, and even men through their enchanted playing of the violin, either for the audience or to drown them, and attempted to figure out how to properly translate that to the show’s art style and tone. I decided to make him a bit more menacing by giving him a bit more pinniped inspired features, like the elongated skull and enlarge nostrils, while mixing in some cues from Mike Mignola’s Abe Sapien, specifically with the gills and the eye markings, and some from the Gillman from the CotBL and the Amphibian Man from Shape of Water, in terms of scales and general physique.
Also a bit unrelated but I’ve no doubt the Amphibian Man may have legit influenced canon Eugene as well, what with the use of bioluminescence, but that is a discussion for another time.
As for lute, I thought it be interesting to switch out his comedy and singing routine to a musically based one, with the idea of him being more of a bard regaling specific hymns and laments rather than using a violin to lure in victims. I also simply like the idea of the lute having an adult deerfox antler as a neck that connects the strings, mainly to imply the weird ecological interconnectedness of the creatures in Trolberg.
Tumblr media
For the Pooka I started off by simply taking features from real extant animals like rabbits and horses while trying to take some inspiration from the descriptions I’ve read from the original folklore involving the puca, which can vary from black fur or white fur, humans with some animal features, a weird hybrid of animals, or an amorphous goblin like that sketch that inspired the look for the show’s canon puca.
Obviously I decided to lean into giving them more animalistic features, with giving Astrid’s Pooka rabbit ears and some fur tufts to correlate with the rest of the creatures in Trolberg while still keeping the original shape of the design, and making the older Pooka a weird mix of an opossum and a horse, what with the hooves, the head shape, and the mane to compliment other features like the rat-like tail with the fur tuft at the end of it and the little button nose.
I probably have more in mind with the redesigned Pookas but for now, I rather attempt to do more designs for some of the S3 characters and actually try to make a Hilda side blog so I don’t annoy ya’ folks with my ramblings. Regardless, I hope ya’ll like this.
