So I watched this one horror... film? Would you call a feature length twitch vod reupload on youtube a film? Whatever, I think it should count. I watched this horror film last night and it's been sticking with me, giving me feelings and all that. "the gmod stream" it's called. Warning if anyone wants to watch it, the video contains sudden flashing lights and loud noises. Honestly it could probably have done without the loud audio.
It's basically a vod of a stream where three people streaming one by one become corrupted by something. There's some creepypasta to go with it and some creepy glitchy visuals. It's not the most incredible work, I've seen better small indie horror art pieces on twitch and youtube before but I think it's very good. It gave me a specific vibe I enjoy seeing in horror, speficially that feeling of discomfort you get at watching a situation that you know is only going to get worse and the people who could stop it don't know to stop it.
Now it's weird because while watching it I didn't really care much about the paranormal elements (they were still neat but not what I focused on). What grabbed me was the shifting dynamics between the people acting on stream. The way that, when their friends gradually become more off, more out of character or weirdly cruel with no explanation, the others' reactions were, just, very genuine. They empathized with the odd behavior, wrote it off as a bit, played along, tried to ask if everything was going okay, opened up to them more and just genuinely seemed very distressed that they couldn't reach them. They never got angry, frustrated yeah, but never vocally angry.
literally up to the last moment the last "normal" one of the three is still trying to reach out and ask why their friends are acting so cruel towards them. It's distressing and heartbreaking and it just hit me in a really specific way.
So yeah, just felt like I needed to get these feelings down on digital paper. It's a decent watch of you have the hour and a half to spare. Just know going in that a lot of it is watching and listening to a mundane stream... also, the aforementioned warning about loud noises and flashing lights. I legit had to turn down my headset a couple times.

NOTE:I don’t ship them!!!
I find that the way @courtney-deserved-better writes this friendship is absolutely fucking glorious. Idk why I like them hanging out and caring for each other so much. But I do. In Slippery Slopes they were everything to me and I love them so fucking much. When the family rejects are better than half of the family.

An attempt to make angel dust's face look better in this scene
They should've gave him a snout instead of a weird oblong head shape imo
I tried my best, original under the cut
Likes are cool but reblogs are cooler
I'm not doing the rest of his body, and ignore the fact that his spots went away lol. This is my first time editing a drawing btw, so criticism is welcome

criticism of your art does not reflect on your morals or abilities in their entirety but rather the merits of a piece and the critics subjective opinion
in other words
feel free to tear off your art teachers head she’s wrong you are the next Van Gogh

Funniest thing in the world is when someone like dissects the symbolism they perceive in something you made and you're like "Wow yeag I really did that. My twisted web of genius metaphors and subtleties" [INTERNAL] What teh fuck are they talking about!!!!!!

So! I've been working on the My Home(TM) kitchen in Design Home, and I've got it juuuuust about perfect (or as much as it can be within the limited options of design home), but I keep going back and forth on which rug I want. And then I thought, why not ask tumblr? So, behold:
Option 1:
I've always wanted a yellow kitchen, but there was no option to make the walls yellow in design home, so a nice bright yellow rug seems like a good compromise. However, my yellow/multicolor floral accent chair doesn't shine as well against this background.
Option 2:
The blue complements the rest of the kitchen well and gives my table and chairs a solid background to pop against. However, I worry it makes the room too dark and the color palette too cool for my goal of a bright, sunshiney kitchen.
Option 3:
Purple is my favorite color (quelle surprise if you know me at all, lol) and it's a good inbetween tone-wise I think. However, I worry the pattern of this rug is a touch busy.
If you pick the fourth one, you're legally obligated to tell me what rug you're thinking of. Also legal disclaimer that I am not bound by the results of this poll and I'll probably make up my mind on my own eventually, but I'm curious to see how things shake out, and also I lowkey wanted to show off my home designing.
Yeah I'm a gamer (*spends hours playing a home design game on my phone*)

Having a nibbling is great because when you're looking for gifts you get to see all the incredible art used to illustrate the boxes.
From "best" to "have we considered burning the store to get rid of the evil?"
Absolutely lovely, adorable and expressive. Great use of shapes and values. I wanna be their friends.
Elegant stylization, poetic imagery, gentle color palette. What secrets are they keeping?
An orange feline without a single braincell between its ears. Factually correct.
Still cute but on thin fucking ice
Feels like they were talking shit about you and you just walked in
DO YOU HAVE GAMES ON YOUR PHONE
Mom come get me I'm scared

i am SO fucking exhausted by mainstream media opinions lately and i don't understand why they're frequently SO different from my own? like i genuinely don't think i am approaching anything from that unique of a perspective as a viewer? maybe it's just that i'm too easy to please when it comes to stories or something but like. how is the mainstream, widely accepted consensus on yellowjackets season 2 is that it's "bad" and "doesn't work as a season" and is "riddled with problems." literally what the fuck are you talking about. this is the most fun i have had watching television uhhhhh literally Ever? you're telling me people hated Burial? how? why? like i don't...i just don't GET it. and i'm not playing dumb for kicks here im like genuinely honest to god confused. that was the single best episode of television I've ever watched in my life. like i get that people have different opinions about things and that's fine but HOW am i in the minority here what am i missing

So, it’s not like they deleted the whole scene of Taylor on the scale. All they deleted was the actual shot of the word “fat.” The scene where she steps onto the scale and Taylor #2 shakes her head in disapproval is still very much there. My point being, the meaning of this imagery remains exactly the same!! The scene is still “Taylor steps on the scale and feels, yes, ‘fat’ and therefore not good enough because of her insecurities” (in this case an actual eating disorder which she has openly discussed in the past). What do people think those with eating disorders see when they step on the scale? Because it’s pretty dang easy for me to fill in the blank. If you think the original video was offensive because you think it suggested Fat=Ugly etc., does this edited scene not read in exactly same way to you? But I guess it’s only using the actual word “fat” (notably, again, in the context of her OWN personal body dysmorphia and not as a commentary on anyone else) that’s offensive and problematic, while implying it is perfectly okay!
