Here I mention my favorite writers:

1. Sapardi Djoko Damono

Bagi insan pecinta karya sastra Indonesia dalam bentuk syair dan puisi indah, Pak Sapardi sudah pasti masuk dalam jajaran penyair kondang. Puisi yang dalam dan terkadang saya sendiri sering suka tak paham akan maknanya, tapi langsung dijawab oleh beliau: “Tidak usah dipusingkan apa artinya, puisi itu untuk dihayati, tidak usah dipahami”

Nah loh tuh langsung dibales sama Pak Sapardi, puisi emang dirasakan oleh hati. Ah he is legend! Saya juga suka sekali dengan puisi beliau yang ini:

2. Mewlana Jalaludin Rumi

Penyair terkenal seantero jagad ini memang sudah tak asing lagi ditelinga pecinta karya sastra. Bahkan karya-karya beliau sudah banyak dibukukan, tidak hanya itu, banyak juga ditemukan beberapa akun Twitter, Facebook dan Instagram yang membagikan puisi atau quotes karya beliau. Bisa dibaca di sini

3. Ibrahim Nagi

Menurut saya pribadi, Ibrahim Nagi adalah versi lain dari Rumi. Meski Ibrahim tak setenar Rumi, namun dalam jajaran penyair dengan karya hebat, Ibrahim Nagi pasti masuk dalam list. Ibrahim Nagi sendiri menurut saya memiliki selera kata yang berat dan dalam namun masih bisa dicerna dan dimengerti, lebih-lebih bisa dirasakan, it matters!. Syair beliau juga selalu cocok dengan situasi kids jaman now haha, ngena! Buanyaaak sekali puisi-puisi karya Ibrahim yang bikin hati adem. But, my most fave one titled “Ruin”

oh my heart, don’t ask where the love has goneit was a monument of my imagination that has collapsedpour me something to drink & let us drink of its ruins& tell the story on my behalf as long as the tears flowtell how that love became past news& became just another story of romance

4. Stephen King & J.K. Rowling

Bagi pecinta novel fantasi pasti setuju kalau the best fantasy novel authors go to these beautiful persons. Kadang suka bertanya-tanya, darimana sih makhluk ajaib ini bisa berimajinasi seliar dan sekeren itu? Daya khayal saya aja kadang ngga sampai kesono. Huebaaat! I was a Harry Potter lover by the way (sekarang dah ngga terlalu tergila-gila lagi wkwk). I even watched all of the films and read some books (The book is always better, but the movie is still stunning tho) Saya bahkan hafal beberapa dialog dan adegan dalam film haha. “Its leviOHsa not LevioSAH”

5. Sibel Eraslan & Dee Lestari

Siapa di sini yang tidak kenal dengan Dee Lestari? Novel-novel beliau bahkan suka banyak yang difilmkan, Perahu Kertas is my fave. Kisah yang ditawarkan begitu unik, bahkan saya seringnya jatuh cinta dengan nama-nama tokoh yang ada, bagus. Sibel Eraslan juga memiliki pemilihan kata yang bagus, saya bahkan sudah membeli seluruh buku beliau Serial The Greatest Women: Maryam, Aisyah, Khadijah, Fatimah, Hajar, Asiyah. Dan saya juga sudah pernah melakukan Book Review Serial The Greatest Women: Aisyah: Wanita yang Hadir Dalam Mimpi Rasulullah. Bisa dibaca di sini nih hehe.

6. Rhonda Byrne

Pernah baca buku The Secret, The Magic, The Power atau The Hero karya Rhonda? Kalau sudah pernah salah satu buku beliau, pasti setuju bahwa Rhonda memang sangat stunning! Buku beliau yang pertama kali saya baca adalah “The Secret”, buku hasil pinjaman teman ini hampir saya pinjam selama 1 semester lamanya, bukan karena terlantar tak dibaca, melainkan saya baca hingga beberapa kali, mungkin lebih dari 5 kali. So addicted! Saya akhirnya memutuskan untuk membaca karya beliau yang lain berjudul “The Magic” hasil pinjaman juga, dan memang WARBYASAH si Rhonda ini!

I am not even surprised when I knew that Rhonda Byrne was recognized as one of the world’s most influential people in TIME magazine’s “The TIME 100: The People Who Shape Our World”, and shortly afterwards appeared in Forbes’ “The Celebrity 100” list.

7. Novie Ocktavia

Bagi yang sering hilir mudik di dunia Tumblr pasti tidak asing dengan teh Novie. Indeed, there are lots of amazing writers on Tumblr, they are great, namun teh Novie memang berbeda sekali, tulisan beliau selalu memukai dan ngena di sanubari. She always writes masterpieces. Beliau bahkan sudah meluncurkan buku berjudul “Menata Kala” (well, I havent bought it yet, but so ingin) Saya jatuh cinta saat pertama kali membaca tulisan beliau, I feel like I live on her writings, tulisannya pasti banyak menghidupkan rasa yang banyak dirasakan orang namun tak tahu itu jenis rasa apaan dan solusinya bagaimana, and she comes along with those beautiful writings, and always brings solutions, mashAllah Tabarakallah teeeh. As I said before, there are so many writers out there (Pramoedya Ananta Noer John Green, Andrea Hirata, Taufiq Ismail, Raditya Dika, Eka Kurniawan, WS Renda etc) they make their own masterpieces which will inspire people, the reader. To change our level of perspective. Increase our imagination far more better. I wish someday I will be able to make my own book, a book I want to read, a book that will change people to be better person. Writing is sucha fancy thing to do, it is exciting to turn all life’s beauties and riches into words. I actually write not to tell a story but to compose a story. I write because I wish to escape from the foreboding that there is a place I must go but—as in a dream—can’t quite get to. Lets reading! Lets writing! to be happy.
