In October 2015 Calico married Jed Williams at a ceremony in Hawaii.Being in that album and tour was the ground-breaking network TV special Alice Cooper: The Nightmare. They tour in the US and Europe as schedules allow and are an excellent live act well worth catching. They have so far released two studio albums and a live record, with a new studio album due in 2018. Die Loud' Calico has become a permanent member of the group, co-fronting the band on stage with Chuck. Since 2012 following a guest appearance on Chuck Garric's 'Beasto Blanco' album 'Live Fast. Notably she also appeared in 'Suck' with her father.īy 2010 Calico had also moved into stand up comedy and improv around the LA area to substaintial success and has been working with The Groundlings and Upright Citizens, as well as making appearances with shock band The Genetorturers (where she met Tiffany Lowe, who replaced her in Alice's shows).Ĭalico also performed for 'Anti Sweden Jeans' and in March 2011 traveled to Hell, Norway to appear live in their fashion show production. She has a slightly larger roll in 'Scarlet Frys Junkfood Horrorfest', a shlock D-movie, and since then has appeared in film, TV and as a model. Apparently it's so short it didn't even qualify her for her 'Screen Actors Guild' card, which was one of the reasons she did it. However her role in it is very small and has no dialogue so it's a "blink and you'll miss her" thing. Her first movie appearance that I've found is in a horror film called 'Bloodline: The Legend of El Charro', released in September 2004, in which she plays 'Mistress Of Salvation'.

She continued her roles onto the 'Dragontown', 'Bare Bones', 'Eyes oF Alice Cooper', 'Dirty Diamonds' and 'Psychodrama' tours, also provided a few backing vocals to albums and live performances.Ĭalico is a professional actress. She really came to fan attention when she joined the 'Brutal Planet' tour in 2000 following in her mother's footsteps by playing various parts in the show including the Nurse, 'Cold Ethyl', the whipgirl, and "Britney Spears", even being introduced on stage by Alice as 'My own little nightmare'.

Calico Cooper is an actress, singer, and director who is the first child of shock rock legend Alice Cooper. Friday, July 13th Brooklyn’s Music Hall of Williamsburg was transformed into Gasworks, the Aurora, Illinois heavy metal club Wayne and Garth frequent in the 1992 cult classic film Wayne’s World. BBQ Films, the event production company known for creating immersive movie and TV experiences, put together the event, which was full of music, comedy, photo ops, themed drinks and 90s nostalgia.

The crowd was packed with fans, many of whom dressed as their favorite characters. Hit Like a Girl took the stage first and got the show started. They were followed by Brooklyn’s Early Riser, Young Thieves (performing as Crucial Taunt) and Calico Cooper, frontwoman of the band Beasto Blanco and daughter of Alice Cooper. The night concluded with a screening of the film and, of course, there was a Bohemian Rhapsody sing-a-long.

A portion of ticket proceeds was donated to the Willie Mae Rock Camp for Girls, a nonprofit music education and mentoring program that empowers girls, women and/or gender non-binary folks through arts and music.

Chris “Brother” Latham is a consummate musician whose dexterous guitar artistry weaves rich orchestral frameworks for the band’s intricate arrangements. A native Alaskan, he recalls that the first musician he met when he arrived in Los Angeles was Chuck Garric. This bond became a band when they co-founded BEASTO BLANCO in 2012. ... that’s when he contacted Calico, Calico Cooper, that is! Yes, the same Cooper last name than a certain Alice Cooper! Calico (Alice’s beautiful daughter) has been part of Alice’s stage show for the last decade or so and doing so many characters on stage, she is the glue that makes those shows so much fun persay. Chuck Garric wanted her to do to background vocals for his new band and she jumped on the occasion. She actually has a very nice voice and a whole lot of power. Her stage presence (check their YouTube videos) is incredible and the apple does not fall far from the tree. She began being more than a bit part and is the co-vocalist of this band. They are the quintessential Rock Band, a lot of old school influences but you got that raw energy from bands like WHITE ZOMBIE and MOTORHEAD. Calico has a lot of her dad in her and props on that "Feed My Frankenstein’’ cover on the previous album that was spot on. - Metal-Temple.com -

She currently acts in TV and film in Los Angeles and directs commercials and music videos while not on tour with her band Beasto Blanco.

One of my recent new loves, this album has many of Cooper’s greatest hits and some songs I didn’t know. But most importantly, this song is stellar and closes the set (of course). Tucked in this classic are an extended solo , band introductions (hilarious) including nicknames (Beasto Blanco and Hurricane Nita Strauss) and his family who are stage performers (wife Sheryl and daughter Calico), and...a segue into Pink Floyd’s “Another Brick in the Wall (Part 2)” that just seems perfect! I can’t wait to see this show next month!

BEASTO BLANCO RETURN WITH NEW ALBUM WE ARE SLATED FOR RELEASE ON MAY 24th

Beasto Blanco; the band comprised of Chuck Garric (long time Alice Cooper bassist) on guitars and vocals, Calico Cooper on vocals, Brother Latham on guitars, Jan LeGrow on bass and Sean Sellers on drums, will release their 3rd studio album 'We Are' on May 24, 2019. We Are is the follow up album to their highly successful 2016 self-titled sophomore release Beasto Blanco and is produced by Ryan Greene.

Regarding the new album Chuck Garric comments, “We spent a lot of time channeling, dissecting and arranging the songs from our new album. The idea was, “Let’s make 'our' record - not necessarily what’s popular now or what we think other people will like. We said, let’s make a record for us and our fans. Our fans are loyal and our sound is our sound."

Beasto Blanco will be touring U.S and Canada in support of We Are opening for Halestorm and Palaye Royale. The tour begins April 18th at the Verizon Center in Mankato, MN and takes the band through spring with additional headlining shows, as well as an appearance at this years Rocklahoma.
