Another Place, Another Space

First impression
The pictures of the series look simple and clear when I was first looking at the the series. It makes me feel quiet and makes me notice that I didn’t realise that those places in the series are looking like that because it used to be people there. It makes me have another view on the places.
Theme
I think the unite of the photos makes it a series rather than just a collection of pictures. In this series, the pictures are look like similar. They are all taken in an indoor area, where it usually have a lot of people, but there are no people there.
Title
I think it is a really great title. It is called “Another Place, Another Space”. It inspired me before I start looking at the title. When I first looking at the photos, it is hard for me to figure what is the message the photographer want to tell the audiences. After I looking at it, it makes me understand what he is trying to tell us and it makes the series have a stronger meaning.
Sequencing
I think the author have chosen a spatial arrangement for the photographic series. All the photos in the series are taken in different indoor areas with lots of spaces. Even though the correlations between the photos are not that strong enough, it still makes connections between them which makes it look like a series.
Last impressions
After the discussion and looking at the text, I feel like I have a better understanding on the series. However, I still got the feeling, which is simple and clear.

In the gallery, a painting by Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama hangs above a cast-bronze table by Ado Chale purchased at Galerie Yves Gastou in Paris. Other pieces of the homeowners' modern art collection on display include large-scale photographs by Candida Hofer (left) and Adam Fuss (right). The custom ottoman is Marked by Mark Cunningham. Analysis of a Photographic Series
For my week 7 presentation on a chosen photographic series, I found it interesting how photos can go very well together and look like its meant to be together. Even though these photos look great together, they are not of the same room but still look nice together and fits into a series. My partner and I chose 3 of our favorite photographs that we believed looked perfect together. The first and last picture of the three we have chosen, have the same flooring but still its differences. I learned that the photographer, Candida Hofer, specializes on getting access to these beautiful places that tend to be filled with tourist and she takes photographs of them empty. These photographs will even be in exhibits so people can see them.

(pusto, krásno, prázdno.) Candida Höfer (4. 2. 1944) Benediktinerstift Admont I, (2014) / z cyklu Türken in Deutschland (1973–1979) / výloha v Düsseldorfu (1975) O té první fotce… nevím úplně, co si myslet. Místo krásné, strop vysoký, prostor rozhlehlý a dál?
