Personally I find it really funny that based on what the twins said in the Book 2 finale re: having to tell their mom about what happened to Unalaq, it's literally canon that Unalaq's wife a) exists, b) is alive, and c) is just chilling in the Northern Water Tribe

She took one look at all the spirit fuckery her husband was getting up to and went "Well that's none of my business" and honestly I respect that

I'm redesigning Maelgwn again and his brief is "Wolf +oranda goldfish+ squid but adapted for extreme cold, tool use, and land based ambush hunting." and it turns out that a wolf that's a fat, extremely fluffy ambush predator which can stand on it hind legs and use it's forepaws like hands is just a regular bear. Those already exist.

this is not a cool experiment in exobiology. I'm just duct taping a carp and a cephalopod to a bear.

I have no plans to change anything about his design because that's funny as fuck.
