my stance on AI shitpost art is the same as vocaloid piracy. if theyre gonna do it they probably were not even thinking of spending the money on a legitimate copy/commissioning an artist.

that makes sense right?

my issue comes really when you are doing something like making music or a game or something that could use artwork to convey visuals or a vibe. for example if you're posting your music online and need a cover image, its expected you either make your own, kitbash something in a creative way or commission an artist/graphic designer. in that case i really look down on the usage of AI art (from unclean datasets, if the dataset is of an artist/community who consented then whatever). like if i open a music video on yt or i play an rpgmaker game and i see AI art imma just shut it off. thats just my personal preference

anyway i dont think AI shitposts are worth hurting the head about but i also really dont like how vindictive people are being about it (the puppy with a cigar post)

like yeah, how dare people not like the potential of corporations to replace them? very strange. and the chucklefucks going if you regulate ai generation youre defending copyr...... you know what i dont give a fuck. fuck all of you this shit is stupid
