you want some fluffy requests?? i'll give you fluffy requests!! y/n always being the one to dote on lando - he's so busy with racing that you're always able to spoil him with flowers, homecooked meals, and planning cute dates. but it's the mid-season break and finally he has time away from the team and is able to spoil you in return, and he doesn't do anything by halves!

You always doted on Lando, it was your thing. Lando always loved coming home to the home cook meals and flowers. This time, Lando had something planned since it was the mid-season break.

Soft kisses are placed on your cheeks as a timber voice begs you to wake up. "Mmmm Lando, stop." Batting away your boyfriend, he just grabs your hand lacing your finger together, kissing them. "Come on baby, you got to wake up."

Rolling over you blink the sleep away, Lando's wild curls make you smile lifting up a hand to play with them. Like a dog, Lando leans into your touch smiling.

"Baby, I made you something." Sitting up you stop, seeing a little tray filled with your favorite breakfast foods and a tiny little rose laying across the edge. "Lan, sugar." Squishing his face he giggles as you kiss him. "Thank you." Pecking his lips again you take in the meal.

"Once you eat, we have to catch a plane." Taking a sip of his orange juice while you have coffee. "Where are we going?" Swallowing your food, Lando just smirks biting into his toast. "It's a surprise." Kissing your nose, he gets off the bed packing your clothes for you.

3 hours later you're laid up on the airplane, Lando asleep your head on his lap watching some movie. He still hasn't told you where you're going but it was a private plane with the staff catering to your every need.

Apparently he had set this all up on his way back home, planned a romantic filled 3 weeks away from the world. That's all he told you, that you two would not be reached by anyone and no one would be able to find you. After he told you, you couldn't help but giggle and drag him away for a little mile high action.

Now he was fast asleep, holding you close as the flight would be a long one. Eyes growing heavy, someone shakes you. Apologizing they hand you a box, sitting up you open the box smiling.

In it lays a collection of polaroids of you and Lando ranging from your first date all the way up to this morning. "Cheesy romantic." Turning you see his lips quirk up, clearly not asleep. "I love you." Eyes opening you stare into those gorgeous green blue eyes.

"I love you too, wanna know where we're going?" Nodding fast, his hand rubs up your back pulling you back down. "Cayo Espanto, Belize. Has tiny islands, only 5 to 7 villas. Totally private and exclusive so we have the whole place to ourselves." You just give him a smile in return, closing your eyes.

If there was one thing about Lando, it would be that when he spoils you, he goes all out. You've never been one for the big gifts, but he liked giving them to you. He's way like yours was doting on him.

"Do we have to leave this place?" Lando has been pouting for the last week, not wanting to leave your slice of heaven. "Yes, you have to get back to McLaren. Even though I don't want them to have you." He smiles into the kisses, the two of you laying out in the sun.

A long vacation of food, sun, peace, and getting to know each other all over again. You hated you had to leave this place, but Lando needed to go back as the summer break was ending.

"We can come back." He suggests, peppering kisses over your neck. "I'd love that." Pulling him up so your face to face. "Me too."

Oops, my hand Slipped

So all of a sudden I was struck with a need to write some EAH stuff and wrote 2 chapters. The 1st chapter was exclusively Apple and Raven and this would be the 2nd chapter about some of the other characters.

I promise I am working on A Withering Pretense this was just something that kinda… happened

Also I am totally doing an EAH rewrite once I’m done with my Winx Club rewrite (so probably in about a year)

Madeline Hatter was glad to be rooming with Kitty. They lived together in her dad’s house, so she already knew her habits and they knew when to leave the other alone and when they needed company.

Not to mention they both still had nightmares of their escape from Wonderland, so it helped to sleep in the same room.

But she was sad for Raven. She knew how lonely she was and how she felt like the world hated her.

But there was no need to worry, for Maddie knew just what to do. She’d make sure to either get Raven out of her room or be there with her at 4 for tea time and she would also-

“Will you shut up?” Kitty exclaimed to the roof, “Some of us are trying to take a cat nap!” She yelled at… me?

“Hey, don’t be rude to the narrator.”

“Well sorry if I don’t want to listen to him talk about Raven a whole bunch.” Kitty said, she carefully let her pigtails down as she went to sit next to Maddie on her bed, “I get that she’s your best friend but… I just don’t feel like hearing about her.”

Maddie hesitated, “You know what happened to Wonderland isn’t her fault.”

“I know that. And I don’t blame her but… just because I don’t blame her for it doesn’t mean I have to be friends with her.”

Maddie nodded, leaning her head on Kitty’s shoulder, “Alright, I’ll try not to think about Raven when the Narrator’s around.”

Kitty bumped her head against Maddie’s in a show of affection, “Thanks. Now, you have to help me set up my desk.”

Maddie smiled and nodded.

The Narrator decided to take his leave.

Duchess Swan had unpacked everything the day of the check in so on her second day at Ever After (two days before classes began) she was completely free.

Lizzie had only unpacked one box thus far. Duchess still wasn’t sure about how she felt with Lizzie as her roommate.

But at least she wasn’t paired with a princess who did nothing but brag about her Happy Ending all the time.

Duchess grabbed her new ballet slipers and the tools she needed to break them down and set off without a word to Lizzie, who didn’t acknowledge her either.

She made her way to the kitchens where she got a bag of bagels and some coffee from one of the chefs. She’d given the chef’s daughter ballet classes for a while so she always got a few extra treats.

After getting the bagels and coffee, she made her way outside, walking straight to the woods.

She only walked a few feet before hearing the distant sound of music, which she followed to the lake.

Sparrow was playing by the lake, he’d spread out a picnic blanket and was jamming, playing a simple melody instead of his usual heavier rock songs.

“Hey.” She said as she plopped down at his side, “I brought bagels and coffee.” She said in a disintrested tone.

“Score.” Sparrow said as he grabbed one of the coffees and took a sip, immediatly gagged, “Nope, that one’s definetely yours. I don’t understand how you can drink your coffee with that much sugar.”

“And I don’t understand how you can drink it black.” She said as she exchanged the coffees.

He spread his bagel with cream cheese and she used mermelade. Duchess took a bite as she pulled out her shoes.

Sparrow frowned as he put his guitar to the side, “Are those slippers new?”

Duchess couldn’t help a small smile, “Yes. A gift in advance for Legacy Day.”

“Mmm.” He hummed appreciatly as she pulled out her tools, “By the way, you’ll never guess who I got roomed with.”

“Can’t be any weirder than who I got roomed with.”

“Wanna bet?”

Duchess rolled her eyes, “I got paired up with Lizzie Hearts. She seems… okay so far but… I’m slightly concerned.”

Sparrow smirked, “I got paired with none other than Daring Charming.”

Duchess almost cut herself accidentally.

So maybe she had a little crush on Daring Charming and maybe Sparrow had found out.

Could she be blamed though?

Daring Charming seemed to be the embodiment of the perfect prince.

The embodiment of a Happily Ever After.

She tried her best to act uninterested, “And? Is he shaping up to be a bad roommate?”

Sparrow considered the question for a moment, “He’s more quiet than I expected him to be… but I mean it’s been less than a day so who knows. I thought he’d be more annoying.”

“He might be thinking the same thing about you.”

He leaned forwards to grab some water from the lake, tossing it at her.

“Hey! Be careful with the tutu!”

He smirked, “Please, as if you don’t dance on the lake.”

“I dance on top of the lake not in it you dumbass!”

She finished her breakfast and got up, practicing a ballet dance while Sparrow worked on a song.

She’d been on the verge of a breakdown the previous day. And as much as she might’ve complained, Sparrow’s joking helped her a bit.

Legacy Day was approaching. For many that meant a confirmation of their Happily Ever Afters or a promise to do something cruel and unforgivable.

But for Duchess… she would be signing away her humanity. Her chance at an actual life. She would pretty much be pledging to lay down her life in order to play her role in the Swan Lake.

It was something she was… trying not to be bitter about. But it was hard.

She only hoped Lizzie wouldn’t say anything whenever she cried herself to sleep over her destiny.

Cerise slowly let out a breath as she closed her dorm door behind her.

She couldn’t believe her luck.

Of course she’d been roomed with Cedar Wood, who was cursed to always tell the truth.

She would have to be even more careful than she already was. But she was already so tired…

She needed to run. But, right as she started making her way down the hall, her dorm room door opened again and Cedar poked her head out, “Hey uh… are you going to the woods?”

Cerise sighed on the inside, “Yeah.”

Cedar fidgeted with her skirt, “Do you uh… do you mind if I join you?”

“Nah it’s fine.”

“Really? Because… it kinda sounds like you do mind.” She said nervously.

“I’m used to going on my own but, it’s fine if you wanna come along.”

Cedar considered her answer for a moment before nodding and joining her, she was carrying a notebook.

She noticed Cedar starring and cleared her throat, Cerise wondered for a moment if she actually needed to clear her throat or if it just helped her feel more human, “Um, I planted a few branches before summer, I wanna see how they progressed since I planted some in magic soil and others in normal soil.”

Cerise nodded along, unsure of what to say.

As they made their way out of the school and entered the woods, Cedar spoke again, “I’m sorry uh… do you not like me? I just feel like… you don’t really like me.”

Cerise pulled her hood closer to her face, “Um… it’s not that I don’t like you it’s just that… I’m used to being alone. I don’t exactly talk to a lot of people so I’m not really the best at holding conversations.”

“Oh… it’s just that last semester my roommate didn’t really like me because of my curse. She thought I’d rat out every little thing I did which… I mean I did spill one of her secrets but it wasn’t on purpose I can’t… I can’t really control it.”

Cerise almost snorted. She knew a thing or two about not being in control.

“I know it’s not really your fault. I promise it’s not really about you specifically, I’m just not used to people trying to talk to me or hang out. That’s all really.”

Cedar nodded again, “Alright.”

Cerise considered her next words carefully, for they could land her in an awkward situation quickly.

“Do you want to go to the library after we get a look at your plants? I want to get a headstart on one or two of the classes.”

Cedar seemed more surprised than anything, “Yeah! That sounds nice.”

Cerise managed a small smile at the obvious excitment Cedar was trying to hide.

Maybe having Cedar as a roommate wouldn’t be so bad.

Briar still wasn’t sure why exactly Apple had insisted on rooming with Raven. But there was nothing to be done about it now.

She played with the black silk leftover from Raven’s decorations, trying to determine where to put it.

She decided she would get some mesh hot pink fabric to make a canopy along with the black silk. She tossed the silk on the bed and went to sit on her desk, looking at the notes she’d been taking of Chemistry, her favorite subject.

She wasn’t sure how this year would go, but she knew she wanted to live it to the fullest. How could she not want to take advantage of every moment when her destiny was now only a few years away?

She tried to focus on her notes, but couldn’t.

Briar shut the book and got up to go get Apple. She had to do something… anything really.

She found that these days she could barely stand being still for too long.

Daring frowned, “A little more to the left.”

Dexter, who was trying to hand a framed drawing of a dragon groaned and rolled his eyes, “Dude, you just told me to move it to the right!”

“It’s not my fault you moved it too far!”

“I’m leaving it here.”

“No it’s not right yet.”

“Daring I swear to-”

“Right there! Do not move.”

Daring rushed forwards, climbing on the chair next to Dexter and quickly hammering a nail into the wall to hang the drawing.

Dexter shook out his arms with a wince and Daring chuckled, ruffling his hair, “Don’t be dramatic. You didn’t hold it for that long.”

They fell into silence for a moment.

Dexter frowned, “What are we going to do about Darling?”

Daring glanced at the framed picture he had with his siblings on his desk, “There’s not much we can do. You know that mom and dad won’t let her come back to Ever After until she’s… ‘fixed’.” He practically spit out the last word.

Yeah, his sister wasn’t a classical damsel in distress, but she still behaved like one most of the time. She didn’t deserve to be shipped off to a boarding school for ‘troubled princesses’… again.

“I mean… we should at least be allowed to write or hext her. It drives me crazy not even knowing that she’s okay.” Dexter said as he collapsed on Daring’s bed.

Daring was slow to join him, “Look for now we should just… help Darling along. Play our roles so that our parents won’t be mad and will go a bit easier on her.”

Dexter snorted without humor, “Easy for you to say. You’re a perfect prince. Not to mention you actually know what your role is.”

Daring wrapped an arm around Dexter, gently pulling him closer, “Hey, you have a destiny and you’ll find out what it is soon. And you are also a great prince.”

“Yeah right.”

“Dex-”

“Don’t Daring.” Dexter stood up, running a hand through his hair with a sigh, “I just… I’ll try to figure out if I can get a message through to Darling.”

Daring watched his brother walk out of the room.

He said nothing as he closed his eyes, thinking about his classes and everything his father had told him he wanted him to do.

It would be a long year, especially without Darling.

As it turned out, rooming with Briar had it’s advantages.

Briar was probably the heaviest sleeper in all of Ever After High, which made sense.

And it made it that much easier for Ashlynn to sneak out of the room.

Her heart slammed against her ribcage.

She’d never done anything like this. The closest thing she’d ever come to sneaking away was only telling one guard where she was going instead of her whole team.

But she wasn’t going to back down.

She made her way down the hallways and out the school, crossing the courtyard and reaching the woods.

She’d barely crossed the first line of trees when she almost jumped out of her skin when a pale golden light appeared out of nowhere.

The golden light was Hunter holding a small lantern, standing a few feet away.

He seemed surprised, like he hadn’t meant to come. Like he was shocked that he’d agreed to meet her.

“Hey.” She said in a quiet tone.

“Hey Ash… did you have any problems sneaking out?”

“No… Briar is a pretty heavy sleeper, which you know, makes sense… did you have any problems?”

“No.”

They fell into silence for a moment.

When Ashlynn went to get closer, Hunter stepped back.

“Ash we… this is wrong. We… we can’t.”

Ashlynn’s heart dropped, “Then why did you come here?”

Hunter laughed humorlessly, “I don’t know. Maybe I didn’t want you waiting out here for me to show up I… we’re signing this year Ash.”

“I know that. But I just…” she hated the fact that there were already tears gathering in her eyes, “I don’t wanna let go of you just yet.”

Hunter rushed forwards then, wrapping his arms around her. She cried against his chest, holding on tightly.

“I don’t want to let you go either.” He whispered against her hair, “But you know that we can’t… we’re not even in the same story, let alone destined for each other. Who knows if we’ll even see each other again once we’re done with Ever After High.”

Ashlynn slowly pulled away, wipping away her tears, “I know but… shouldn’t we enjoy… this… while we still can?”

“Don’t you think it’ll hurt more in the long run?”

Ashlynn took his hand, gently kissing his knuckles, “I’d rather have the painful memories than the regret.”

He pulled her close again, wrapping an arm around her waist and kissing her.

She sighed into the kiss, cupping his face, tasting salt from her own tears.

Ashlynn knew it was probably a mistake, that they would eventually be pulled apart by their respective destinies.

But she’d spent her entire life doing all she could to be perfect.

She was allowed to have this one thing… at least for now.

Dexter left his brother’s room frustrated.

The triplets had always been close, even with their parents constantly comparing them and trying to keep them apart due to their different destinies.

It was awful being at Ever After without his sister.

He was always compared to both his siblings, he was the boring sibling, the least attractive one, the one without a destiny. But at least with Darling it didn’t bother him as much.

It wasn’t Daring’s fault that he was a good prince and people took that to make Dexter feel bad. But it still would’ve been nice to be able to escape most of that with Darling.

He looked down at his MirrorPad.

He was going to figure out a way to get a message through to his sister.

Lizzie Hearts was careful as she opened the last box she had to unpack.

In the box were the only things she had left of Wonderland, which she’d carefully collected over the years from both survivors and collectors.

She placed the objects on her desk and bookshelf with care.

She glanced at Duchess’ side of the room, she was definetely tidier than Lizzie was.

The last thing she pulled from the box was a framed picture of her and her friends. Before Wonderland had fallen.

Maddie, Kitty, Bunny, Alistair and Lizzie herself, laughing in the middle of a croquet tournament, Alistair trying to balance a flamingo on his shoulder for no reason other than to cheer himself and Bunny up since they were losing.

How she missed them.

She took a deep breath as she tried her best to organize her desk, trying not to think about spending yet another year separated from her Kingdom.

Studying hard to be a good queen when she didn’t even know if her Kingdom was just a barren wasteland. Trying her best to embody her mother and act as angrily as she could despite not knowing if her story would ever come to pass. If Bunny and Alistair had survived the fall of Wonderland.

Another year trying to act like she was unaffected by all of that.

Because queens weren’t supposed to wake up screaming from nightmares.

And they certainly didn’t have doubts about their destinies.

this is how i imagine tim drake…

(a lot of this is also canon/inspired by canon)

- absolutely obsessed with star wars.

- has forced everyone to individually binge the series with him at least once.

- but also uk love island and australian bellow deck is definitely his guilty pleasure.

- call me patriotic but i refuse to believe he watches the american versions of reality shows.

- overworks himself on such little sleep that his body giving up and him fainting is a scarily regular occurrence.

- insane martial artist -which people (like most things he can do/does) completely overlook or just don’t care about. this is also canon btw.

- like he can easily knock anyone to the ground in a second, yet because of his small build and mmmm relatively unhealthy state, it goes unnoticed and sometimes unused.

- people always overlook him because of his innocent seeming personality, but he’s so cruel sometimes.

- like he punched jason out cold once for picking up his stuff and holding it over his head, put itching powder in dick’s boxers and bed for hiding the cases he was working on, roofied damian’s nightly hot chocolate so he’d miss family movie night because dami was pissing him off… true slytherin.

- but just like a lot of the things he does, it goes unnoticed/un-delt-with most of the time so he gets away with it. middle child tings.

- not to mention he literally stalked batman and would run around solving murders and dropping off the evidence to gordon before even being a robin.

- he was on the CIA’s watch list for crying out loud!

- doesn’t break the unassuming facade often, but when he goes off the deep end, he goes, and doesn’t stop until he’s satisfied -or stopped.

- scarily persuasive -some would say manipulative, i would say ambitious. i mean he did wiggle his way into the position of robin with sheer willpower.

- i think one of the reasons i love tim so much and are so fascinated by him is because of his capacity to be a villain so easily if he wanted.

- like if he decided one day to turn on everyone… in an instant he has control of a multimillion dollar company, can easily gain control the police, has dirt on every single person, and access to anything he decides he wants: and yet he chooses to do good.

- he could have the world on their knees and yet people still decide to fuck with him because of their naivety.

- villain tim would be terrifying.

- his childhood and a normal loving and attentive family setting was stolen from him. he was always made out to be “mature for his age” and “quiet and sensible” when in reality he was just neglected and bored.

- being a gifted child always comes with its downfalls. like being so unstimulated by his schooling and classmates that he acts out a little bit out of boredom and a craving for attention from his parents; not to mention the social rejection because he’s too “mature” for his peers antics.

- he’d be super socially unaware for his age group. being an only child surrounded by adults (yet forever alone and isolated) would’ve prevented him from ever connecting with fellow kids and their interests.

- so now he likes doing a lot of random “childish” things like skating down the halls in the manor, having a gamer chair as his office chair, playing his nintendo switch in his wayne ent office when he’s bored, having bento box lunches filled with sugary cereal and roll ups, having a mini fridge in his office exclusively filled with yakults, strawberry milk and coffee milk boxes, being fully versed in gen z lingo (which he uses correctly don’t worry) that he uses to talk to people he works with and interacts with at galas etc etc.

- likes to leave little notes in library books for the next people to find; often mildly threatening like “i know what you did”.

- definitely has minor nearsightedness (though he hardly ever wears his glasses, even if he looks really good wearing them).

- when he’s not drinking coffee, he’s chewing gum or mints to counteract the coffee.

- ambidextrous, but favours his left hand meaning his already inconceivably messy quick-notes are also smudged by his hand.

- hands are always cold and numb (leading everyone to believe he probably has rayynaud's syndrome).

- he gets really nervous and tries to avoid people being able to touch his hands, like when they’re handing something to him, or makes sure handshakes are firm and quick -but still respectful- etc (but he loves hand holding, he just worries no one would want to 🥺).

- really good at taking in information and his surroundings quickly.

- often points things out to people that would otherwise go unnoticed like “your eyes look really pretty today” or “your freckles have darkened from the sun” or “they ordered two sugars with their coffee… they always order three” etc.

- he doesn’t constantly say the things he’s thinking, but they come out a lot more when he’s loosing his filter from fatigue.

- he’s always apologising profusely for pointing out things bc he thinks they will think he’s weird or become uncomfortable.

- tim is allergic to almost all nuts except for almonds (wog runs through my veins, i refuse to believe he can’t eat almonds).

- he’s not like epipen allergic, all he needs it some cetirizine.

- bc of this “relatively low risk” (as he would say), if he accidentally eats a nut he’ll usually just not tell anyone while his throat is closing over and his mouth feels like it’s been attacked by mosquitoes.

- he’ll just silently slip away to buy some cetirizine or get some from his pocket/bag.

- this sweet old lady at a charity bake sale once offered tim to try a free slice of her rocky road and it had walnuts in it (btw you guys are monsters if you make the nutty rocky road).

- and he was too anxious to refuse so he took it and finished the whole thing in front of her.

- it took him about 20 minutes and to the point where he was crying and his lips looked like they had fillers that he whispered to bruce he was having a reaction.

- bruce was hysterical.

- he always carries cetirizine on him now just incase tim does that again.

Today is the third day of the December, welcome to the Daily Audio Bible. I am Brian. It is wonderful to be here with you today, as we continue our journey into the first end of the week of the month of December. And we have been camped out in the book of Daniel for a minute here and we will continue that journey in the Old Testament. And then we’ll move into the New Testament, as is our custom around here, and pick up where we left off in first John. So, let's dive in Daniel chapter 11 verse 2 through 35 today.

Prayer:

Father, we thank You for Your word and we thank You for today, and we thank You for this day in Your word. And even as we bring a week to a close, we recognize that time definitely goes on, but this year as an ending point and it's something that we can see. We have been sailing this journey nearly a year now. We departed many, many months ago and set sail and it wasn't long before we were out in the deep. But now, we have been out in the deep a long time and we can see the horizon and we can see the landing point, and so we’re excited but we want to finish well and receive from You everything that we needed this year. So that we finish strong and begin well, the next adventure, the adventure of next year. And so, come Holy Spirit implant the words Your words, the words that lead to life, deep into the soil of our hearts and may we work with You in weeding and nurturing what You have planted in us, so that the fruit of the Spirit may abound. We ask this in the name of Jesus. Amen.

It’s Christmas time around here and so there's a couple Christmas things going on. First, we’re preparing for our annual family Christmas party, a virtual party that we get to share together. One of the most heartwarming things in the year as we go through the year together, at least for me, I am always brought to tears, I guess it's happening at the end of the year, just all the voices. Obviously, that is the prayer and encouragement line and that is primarily what that is for, but for this week, out of the year, we also take all of the holiday calls. So here are the rules, one: don't call in a prayer request mixed with a holiday greeting, if you want to call in a holiday greeting do that. And if you have a prayer and encouragement, call that in separate, some of the rare times we can do that. So, keep them separate. Otherwise, there won't be any place for them to go. So, just make sure you do that. Second rule is that just call in once for the holiday, for the holiday party, so that everyone has a chance to be heard.

You know, I am married, and I’ve been having some thoughts and, and, and I don’t know, judgement towards my parent in-laws, they were not raised how I was raised, in the word, in the teachings. Putting into operation everything I do and I just, it discouraged me so much, it always discouraged me. Just how you said today, it’s like, would if God didn’t have that patience and mercy with me. And it really, really speaks to, to how I’m not patient or I’m not trusting in Him. They’re on a collision course with Jesus, just like you said, that was amazing message. And to the brother that called recently about having impatience and he’s not been practicing in his word often. I, I understand you completely. It’s very, very, especially if you’re from where I think you’re from, if we’re from the same background. It’s difficult for sure but possible, all thanks to Him. It takes practice every single day. We get better, every single day. Don’t be discouraged, continue to fight the good fight. I love you all, DAB family. God Bless.

Hi, Daily Audio Bible family, this is Karen and I’m in North Carolina. And first, I just wanna say thank you to Brian for all the years that you have been building this community. And one of the reasons I’m calling today, it may seem a little weird but it’s about Brian’s voice. And when I read in Psalm 139, how God knit us together in our mother’s womb in wonders and secret, I just really can’t help but think about how God gave Brian, his love, his wife Jill, their beautiful and unique voices. He knew us before we were born, and He knew what Brian and Jill’s would be doing and their voices are huge part of their ministry. So basically, I just wanna say, all of you, that I find it simply amazing that God is so purposeful in our lives. And if any of us are struggling, we need to remember that He knit us together for this place. My second reason for calling is to ask for prayer for my daughter. He names Alissa, she’s a recovering alcoholic and for 6 years she hasn’t contacted our family. But recently, she’s called me to renew our relationship with my prayers. But my prayer request is for her salvation. She’s in AA and even though she talks about a higher power, she wants nothing to do with Jesus. She’s involved in a very sinful lifestyle. And I just want to ask you all to pray that God would show her His truth about Jesus. When I listened to Brian today, talk about how we’re all waiting for Christ to return but God is patiently waiting for others to come to know His love. And one of those He’s waiting for is my daughter, along with all the other prodigals. So, I’m glad you’re praying to come to His saving grace. So, thank you for letting me share. Please keep all the prodigals in your prayers as well as us moms, whose heart is burdened for our children. Thank you, thank you guys for letting me share.

Morning Daily Audio Bible community, this is JV in Kansas. It’s been a while since I’ve called in. I don’t know, it just been a while. I know, earlier this year, I had surgery, I called about that. The surgery ended up going well, hospital visit, not so well. But a lot has happened since then. But I got a new job and just been trying to recover and get things back in order. And I think, part of it is, is I’m calling today to pray for prayer, it’s just, feeling very lost, very angry, very alone. And trying to reach out, trying to pray, trying to stay faithful. And it’s just, it feels like, everything is going wrong. I just feel so alone. And not sure what to do about it. I pray, I pray, I pray, and I pray, and I ask for help, ask for guidance and I’ve been feeling very alone and knocked down in the cold right now. It’s just a lot of things going on that I don’t feel like I’m in control and I, I need the help of the Lord. I’m running out of time so, please pray for me. Thank you.

Netflix's Latest Viewing Pleasure Is About Building Your Dream Sex Room

Here's what to know about having one of your own.

I’m one of those people who has a song in mind for almost any keyword said in a sentence. It’s a gift and curse, to my friends and my readers. Today’s song was “Sex Room” by Ludacris and however annoying it might be, I’m excited to get into it with you all. Netflix’s recently dropped a new series – How To Build a Sex Room – which is for sure the adult HGTV series I never knew I needed. But it’s so much better than any HGTV series and honestly better than anything I could’ve anticipated.

The show explores making practical sex rooms for those who will be using them. And a sex room doesn’t always mean cold, dungeon vibes. No! Instead, part of what makes the show great is that they meet people where they are and really take into account the purpose or intended use for the sex rooms, in addition to personality. You get a good variety of luxuries mixed with the feelings of home.

And while I’m not going to spoil the show, I do want to get into what and why someone might need a sex room. Maybe you want one for yourself or maybe you’re someone who passed the preview of this show and wondered, “What’s the point?” If so, keep reading.

Reasons to Consider Having a Sex Room

1. Parental Control and Boundaries

Parents who co-sleep with their children may find it difficult to maintain an air of sexiness in the very room they once created their children in. Though we might say at a certain age parents should set boundaries, realistically keeping your child in their own room is not a boundary that’s always possible. That said, parents might opt for a sex room in order to rejuvenate themselves back into the seductive period of courting prior to having children. Sometimes the boundary setting is simply a matter of changing the setting and opting for privacy in other, less seemingly dismissive ways. This can be accomplished with a sex room.

2. Separation of Home and Sex

While not every sex room is dungeon-style, some are. And regardless of the aesthetic, there may be people who wish to keep their preferred kinks as private as possible. I can’t count on one hand how many times I’ve forgotten to put away my vibrator and someone walks into my home only to see it on the coffee table. And that’s a normalized part of sex…masturbation. However, imagine having someone walk into your home and you forgot to put away your flogger or box of butt plugs, and so on? The sex room helps to provide an extra layer of privacy. Not because you wish to be secretive or feel shameful, but because keeping certain parts of your life separate from others is good form as far as boundaries go. Plus, it can be really sexy to have this part of your home where only you and your lovers exist.

3. Sex, Staycation Style

The monotony of being home and having sex in the same way, in the same place can sometimes be…annoying. But also coming across safe spaces to play with your partner can be equally…annoying. Having one at home allows you to escape the day-to-day without incurring the fees associated with sex clubs. Furthermore, there’s this unspoken rule of exclusivity where you really have to know the right people in order to find kink scenes in certain cities. Having your own sex room eliminates the need for that as you create your own.

4. Swinging Made Easy

If one of your kinks is swinging, a sex room might just be mandatory. Not every city has swingers clubs and in my experience when they do have swingers clubs they aren’t always diverse (age and race-wise). But having a sex room in your home allows you to host other couples consensually, thus minimizing the requirement of having to find a couple to swing with in exclusive spaces.

5. Safe Spaces and Such

For those who are into kink and wish to try out new gadgets and contraptions, I encourage you to do so safely. But hold please, because in this case, the safety I’m speaking of is more towards reading the requirements for hanging your equipment from walls and ceilings. Because this can be necessary for swings and such, some couples may opt for a sex room in an area in their house where the ceilings are more conducive to that type of sex gear – like the basement.

The bottom line is there are many reasons that people may want sex rooms. However, I think in any case it comes down to having a safe space to be able to reconnect or even connect with ourselves in ways that weren’t made possible (for whatever reason) beforehand.

Self-Survey: Remember A.S.L via Aim? You should and if you don’t you’re far too young to be reading this article. But similar to that, you want to get a quick and dirty rundown of what you're looking for out of your sex room. So, in this case, A.S.L stands for "agenda, sex, and location."

Agenda – What do you wish to get out of this sex room? What is your why?

Sex – What type of sex or touch do you intend to have in this space? How do you intend to utilize this space? Is it a swinging space, or one that is just for you and bae? Do you want to explore new kinks or are you pretty airtight on the things you want to try?

Location – Where in your home do you envision this work of art being crafted? Are we keeping it in the bedroom or do we want it somewhere covert?

DIY or For Hire: This one is rather simple. Hmm, on second thought, if you’re someone who doesn’t understand limitations, like me, you might have a difficult time realistically gauging how to go about building your sex room. Nevertheless, you must decide if this is something you want to pull a “do it yourself” with or if it requires you to hire a contractor. Perhaps a combination of the two – it simply depends on the answers to the first two questions.
