Mini-review:

This is the cliché gay romcom that we've always been waiting for and the one we deserve. It's hilarious, romantic, melodramatic, messy and full of feels, and I loved every second of it. The writing is fantastic, the acting feels absolutely natural and the whole cast shares some crazy chemistry that makes the relationships feel truly real. I also loved that it featured a wide array of LGBTQ relationships and characters of diverse age and looks, cause it's something that tends to be missing in the genre. This is definitely my favorite Netflix Spain Original (although that wasn't too difficult tbh) and one of my favorite romcoms of the last few years, and I strongly recommend you watch it. Hell, it's even holiday themed, so it's just perfect for the current season.

Rubbing his hand on the back of his neck, Theo was losing time. There wasn't enough time in the evening to complete everything. Right after the knife cut deep into their skin and blood went everywhere he could hear 911 coming on the other line. This never happened to him. Never and he had a list of names he was supposed to assassinate. Swiftly heading back to his place he figured that Giannina was either at work or asleep so he took advantage of his time coming home and quickly drove with the lights off and got into the garage so that no one would see his car. He would change his plates later and clean the blood as well or hell just buy a new car and trash this one. He was soaked in the red stains. All over his face, his clothes, all into his hair. Stepping inside he was on his way to head to the shower when he saw a light flicker on. Shit...

Giannina felt like her world was falling apart. After so many years of loss and suffering after the death of her mother, her grandparents, her father and the eventual loss of her home, she had felt that in spite of all this, happiness was possible when she met James. He had come to rescue her from a trance and bring her back to life, not only did she believe she had lived the greatest love the world would ever know, but she also knew that James had taught her to be the woman she was today, sure of herself, a woman who defends her passions and opinions, a woman who had abandoned a life of luxury to become head of the household, and she loved that home with all her might.

But she could no longer feel any of that, most of her senses were numb, she could only perceive pain and anger. She was angry with James. How could he have abandoned her? Why did he have to play the hero one more time, instead of staying with her?

And this house, the one she had learned to love, the one they have given everything to save and protect for years, the one full of beautiful memories of their children growing up, full of stolen kisses in the kitchen every morning... But nothing was the same, now she hated this house, he hated this room, this bed so cold, full of his scent, and yet so empty.

Her children were grown up, she thought, they no longer needed her. Very soon she would be all alone. Alone in the house that had stolen her great love from her.

-Oh James, why did you leave me here? We always said that we would go together, my love. Why did not you take me with you?
