I was so excited to read Weak Hero's "epilogue" today that I actually dreamt about it last night. 😅

But in typical dream fashion things weren't quite the same as in real life, and in this case instead of reading the last chapter, I was plopped down in front of a television watching the last episode of the anime. In the show, it was revealed that Donald had faked his death and that he also had a younger sister. They both had auburn hair, and it played a kind of flashback where it showed that Donald was bleaching his hair the whole time and he would also wear contacts to hide his real eye color, which was a deep chocolate brown. (Please remember this was a dream, and I am very well aware that this makes absolutely zero sense in real life lol). And just when it was about to show the reasoning for Donald's actions and what was going on with his sister, I had to stop watching because- again with typical dream nonsense- I was watching the show while inside a haunted house, and someone I was with had pissed off some of the ghost. And I had to abruptly step away from the television to try to calm the ghosties down and to stop them from totally fucking up my dumb friend. AND of course when I finally got back to the show the end credits were rolling, and when I tried to rewind the episode, or find out how I can rewatch it, I couldn't read shit-diddly of what was on the screen 😮‍💨. So I woke up super frustrated but also hopeful that the "epilogue" was going to answer all my questions.

Anyone who's read the "epilogue" by now knows that it, in fact, did NOT answer any of my questions. I personally wouldn't have even called it an epilogue, but more of an author's note. Since that was really what it was. 😒

I am thankful to the creators for their time, energy, and health that went into making this amazing story. I am still incredibly disappointed and dissatisfied with the ending, but I would still take that shit ending if it meant that I got to experience this story in the first place. Because, as stated in a previous post, I do love this story a whole lot more than I hate it.

Plus, my professional levels of delulu can let me pretend that ending never happened. Maybe I can even pretend my dream ending was the official ending, and I can just mentally fill in the blank spots that "dream me" didn't get to watch.

Then there's also always the option of reading fanfics! 😆

Now that I got that out of the way, ya'll know I can't leave without mentioning my fav and sharing the extras tidbits that were given to us.

I'm dying that Jimmy was ALWAYS meant to be the annoying, loud one! 😂

This👆 is 100% what I imagine texting Jimmy would be like. Family, friend or foe, there's no asking, just ordering or demanding 💀

Mew trying to become Ray let alone date him was not on my bingo card for this week but I'm no professional bingo card designer, let's talk about this anyway

We all went into this show knowing it was going to be messy, asking for it to be messy, we're all weak for SandRay so RayMew is upsetting because we want Ray with Sand, sure, but setting all of that aside, the thing that is really concerning to me about the fact that Mew is choosing to rebound with Ray is the fact that he is very creepily BECOMING RAY while doing it. He's putting on a persona to handle his life right now and it's really unhealthy and boy needs to cut it out and get some therapy. (they all need therapy.)

At the beginning of the episode, before the confrontation with Boston, Mew is dressed more or less as himself. He and Ray do dress similarly on a base level- they both wear a lot of patterned, unbuttoned shirts over a second shirt, but Mew normally wears stripes over tshirts, and mostly light colours with a lot of blues and greens. Ray wears a lot of darker colours and patterns with shapes and designs, with a lot of reds, tans, and oranges, over tanktops/vests/whatever you want to call them where you're from.

After blasting Boston into the pool and delivering one of the most satisfying kicks on television, before going for his confrontation with Nick, we get the creepy tub shot of Mew sinking into his misery and his upcoming revenge era-

To put on his Ray cosplay, he's gotta sink down into the deep. This isn't a rebirth or an emergence of a new, stronger version of himself; this is him descending, covering himself and his hurt with someone else's aura and attitude so that he can cope with the path he's decided he needs to go on to burn his enemies and get his revenge.

He tries it out when he goes to see Nick and it works for him-

This is his soft launch, where he's up against someone else who has, or feels he has, been done wrong by Boston and Top (and done wrong, obviously) but that Mew knows is vulnerable. Mew pushes on Nick to help him get his revenge on Boston, and Nick crumbles. Using this persona, this attitude, is working for him.

He uses it to hunt down Gap next, another trial run, that goes flawlessly for him as well.

He's got the black tank, the necklace, and a black, white, and grey shirt this time, another test of borrowed confidence. And he's successful: he pulls Gap with almost no effort, he gets the file, he's ready to go now. He's used the Ray based persona twice with people he doesn't know, his confidence is up, which means he's ready to use it on someone he does know.

So when he gets ready to confront Boston, we get a whole sequence of him preparing for the battle, and checking all the details. There's a lot of very close up shots of his face and eyes here that I left out of the gifs because this scene was already long, and a lot of focus on each detail.

The necklace like Ray wears, a tanktop like Ray wears (but black! because this is Mew in his angsty villain era!), a patterned button up shirt like Ray wears, check the hair and go. Armored with this other persona, he's ready to handle Boston, and he does. Much, much better than Ray himself, mind you, compared to when Ray went and confronted Boston in the last episode.

The next big outfit switch we get for Mew in this episode (I'm not counting the whole big Top punching Mew confrontation since Mew and Ray are both just wearing their school clothes there) is Top's daydream about dancing with Mew. This whole sequence is so soft focus and Top looks so sad and there's no one else there which implies to me he's imagining this and it's not an actual memory, but either way we're back to Mew in stripes, with Top in stripes as well.

What's different about Mew and Top matching versus Mew matching himself to Ray? Mew and Top don't really MATCH so much as coordinate. They're often in different colours, different styles, different material shirts, etc. Like here, Mew is wearing an unbuttoned dress shirt with vertical stripes over a tshirt, while Top is wearing a collared polo shirt with horizontal stripes, AND they're wearing different colours. They work together without fully matching, and they're distinct to the characters as well. Even when their styles get a little closer, like Top wearing some solid colour button up shirts in episode 6 instead of polo shirts, he styles them differently than Mew does and I at least can't really picture them switching clothes and having the outfits really look right.

Meanwhile, the last scene of the episode, with Mew dancing with Ray, we get this-

Mew is dressed as Ray again, even shifting into Ray's common colour schemes with the flowers on this one. His first outfit when he went to see Nick was a trial and the pattern still had a lot of blues in it, but he's been shifting into darker colours with the tans and oranges we see Ray in pretty often with this.

(Ray, meanwhile, is wearing a shirt that looks like something Sand would have chosen for him, of course.)

Ray is reckless, Ray is fearless, Ray is bold, Ray is confident, Ray is wild and sometimes unpredictable, or he at least seems to be to the much more conservative Mew, so slipping into Ray's clothes and taking on what he thinks is Ray's persona is a way for Mew to push himself in ways he hasn't before. There's no way Mew could have handled his whole spy mission to get the video file from Gap as himself the way he has been; that's not in his wheelhouse.

From the preview for next week it looks like Mew is sliding into more of Ray's persona with the partying behaviors, and I don't think it's going to end well for him. But being with Top has taught him that trying to get someone to change is useless because they're still the same mess on the inside, so his decision to slide down the same path as Ray and let go of his inhibitions instead of trying to fix Ray is as unsurprising as it is self-destructive.

Seeing Mew take some kind of power over his life should have been satisfying, and in some ways it definitely was, like watching him burn the notebook page and try to put his foot down with Top, but then seeing him do it while spiraling mentally and slowly covering himself with Ray's outward persona at the same time was incredibly unnerving. Adding in him deciding to get involved with Ray romantically and it just speed ratchets up the unhealthy factor by a million miles a minute.

It also shows how well Mew actually knows Ray now compared to how well he thinks he knows Ray and who and what he thinks Ray is, that he could send himself down this path without seeing the writing on the wall about who Ray is trying to be and what Ray is trying to deal with behind Ray's substance abuse problems and everything else, but I imagine that will be part of the inevitable explosion that THIS impending disaster will also turn into, potentially very soon.

You can't fix your problems by pretending to be someone that you're not, especially if who you're trying to be is someone you know who is incredibly problematic and unhealthy themselves. It's a whole toxic situation even BEFORE you start trying to DATE THEM AT THE SAME TIME.

We wanted a mess and boy are we getting it.

Limbus company Canto 6 Part 2 spoilers and (Slightly) Leviathan!

My personal notes and thoughts

Alot to unpack from the Canto ngl

1. So when Ryoshu meant "Y.S." it meant "Your suspicious"

2. Last we heard of Aseah was in Leviathan who helped the ring with the mirror experiments which lead to Gubo searching for em (I think?) Now we know what happened after..

3. Aseah was the one who contributed to these experiments and from the looks of it, they have advanced into bringing identities here? Maybe??

4. Heathcliff distorts so now I gotta check that off my bingo card

5. How did Heathcliff 2 get here? Let alone who brought him here? The possibility is that the basement experiment did, the ring somehow did this or an entire different situation?

6. It's interesting to see that the basement and possibly the entire manor is a corridor

7. The reason why Aseah is in the basement in the first place is unclear. Last we checked Hermann's group was also collecting the boughs from other Cantos. Is Aseah there for personal reasons or is it benefitting the group somehow?

8. Cathy's role in this is confusing??? Did she partake in being in the coffin? Did she know about Heathcliff 2? Was she really partaking in these experiments with full knowledge?

It’s All Coming Back to Me

Pairing: Steve Harrington x Billy Hargrove

Summary: The sauna scene from 3x04 and the scene with El in 3x08 got mixed together with a little ✨spice✨. Billy is flayed and Steve’s on a mission with Robin, Dustin, and Erica to bring him back. And maybe this time it isn’t as difficult as they thought it would be.

Warnings: Mind Flayer’s icky veins, breaking a window and door, attempt to hurt others with a sharp object, choking someone.

Word Count: 1371

A/N: I was gonna wait for Halloween to post this, but I’m too excited to wait. It’s just a little snapshot fic for my C2 square “Let me out! I’ll fucking gut you!” on my @harringroveson-bingo card. As always, thanks to @writer-in-theory for being my beta.

Also, check out this fan art by @valsyngur because it fits perfectly. Jay sent it to me while I was writing it and asdfghjkl I fell in love with it.

Three days. Billy had been fighting for control of his body for three entire days and Steve felt like an idiot because he didn’t realize it until after El told him what she saw in the void. He should have known better, known to call.

Billy didn’t show up to their date. For any other couple, this would normally be a reason to worry, but Steve didn’t. Billy’s home life wasn’t easy, which forced them to tip toe around Neil, making sure to not get caught. Because of that, there were many canceled dates, especially if Neil was home and in a bad mood, ready to take it out on Billy.

Which is why it was killing Steve to lock Billy up in the sauna. Listening to Billy sob was the worst thing he could imagine right now, next to the thought of losing him to this thing. Thankfully Robin was next to him, trying to remind him that by doing this, they’ll coax Billy back into control and force The Mind Flayer out.

“It's not my fault, okay? Steve, please. Please, believe me, Stevie, it's not my fault. I tried to stop him, okay? I did,” Billy cried, rubbing his hands together like he always does when he’s nervous.

Steve sniffled, watching Billy rock back and forth, trying to calm himself down. God, he wanted to open the door and pull him into his arms, but he knew he couldn’t. Not right at this moment, anyway.

“Billy,” he whimpered, “It’s gonna be okay, baby.”

“Steve, be careful, step back,” Robin called out, anxiety growing with Steve’s proximity to the window. Steve turned back, about to argue just before there was a loud crack and pieces of glass clattering to the ground.

Everyone yelped in surprise and jumped back, getting into fighting stances, ready to attack if need be.

“Let me out! Let me out, I’ll fucking gut you!” Billy shouted, swinging a shard of porcelain tile around the window in an attempt to hurt anyone nearby. Steve held up the pool net, hoping he didn’t have to use it as a weapon against Billy. Even if that thing was taking control, it was still Billy, his Billy. He was still inside there somewhere.

It was a good plan in theory, up until Dustin chucked a chlorine floater right at Billy’s face.

Well, shit.

“Steve, we gotta go!” Robin shouted, tugging at the sleeve of his uniform, scared and ready to get to safety. Steve didn’t budge, watching the window for Billy, his Billy, to stand up and ask what had happened. Except… that’s not what happened. The lights were flickering and he could hear Billy thrashing around and screaming gutterly, making his heart wrench. He was struggling, in agony, fighting for control of his body. Billy was suffering and Steve wasn’t brave enough to make his way over to the window to see what exactly was going on, given what just happened last time he approached. Dustin and Erica joined in, begging him to leave but he couldn’t. Not when Billy was in there and needed their help.

Then Billy stood up, veins blackened and raised, and began ramming his body against the door in an attempt to open it. Oh, fuck. Fuck, fuck, fuck. Robin gasped and tried pushing Steve away, but he shook his head.

“Go.”

“Are you shitting me?” Dustin screamed, “You’re coming with us, Harrington.”

Steve turned to look at Dustin, eyes glistening with tears, “Go help the others, I’m going to save him.” He wasn’t sure he would walk away from this, but he would be damned if he didn’t try.

Robin knew there was no talking Steve out of this, but she wasn’t so sure he was going to succeed in his plan, either. After meeting his eyes, they shared a minute nod, a silent goodbye. She grabbed hold of Dustin and pulled him away, and just in time, too, as the sauna door flew off its frame, the chain links clattering everywhere.

“Shit, come on, Henderson” Erica finally yelled, pulling him away by his vest, refusing to let Billy hurt him too.

Billy rushed toward Steve, forcing him to swing that pool net in an attempt to get him away, but Billy and this thing were far too strong. Next thing Steve knew, he was pushed against the brick wall, Billy’s hands around his neck, squeezing. Steve grasped at Billy’s hands, struggling for air as Billy began to lift him off the floor.

“Oh, god,” Robin gasped, her and Erica pulling Dustin around to the other side of the fence. They should run far, far away from here, but they couldn’t leave Steve, not yet anyway. Steve had to pull this off. He just had to.

“Billy- this- isn’t- you-“ Steve struggled as Billy tightened his grip around his neck. The man before him right now wasn’t the man he fell for in gym class. He clawed at Billy’s hand, desperate to be out of the chokehold. Billy’s eyes looked into his, hardened and hollow. Steve couldn’t see Billy in those eyes he had fallen in love with. He had to bring him back.

“You-You’re Billy Hargrove, you’re eighteen, and were born in C-California. You graduated from Hawkins High School and got your first job here as a lifeguard. You listen to Metallica after every fight with your dad and lift weights as an outlet. You only smoke Marlboro reds because you say the golds are for moms and the menthols are for old people,” he squirmed under Billy’s grip, terrified that if he couldn’t bring Billy back, not only would everyone here at the pool die, but all of Hawkins with them.

Steve’s eyes burned with tears as he reached up to touch Billy’s cheek, as he had done thousands of times. Billy’s gaze softened, and he slowly lowered Steve back to the ground, hands still around his neck.

“You love to surf and you miss the ocean because,” he swallowed, trying to catch his breath, “be-because it reminds you of your mom. You miss her every day and that’s why you never take off her necklace, so a part of her is always close. We were in your Camaro with the seats down while we ate McDonald’s and you told me all about her,” his thumb brushed over Billy’s cheekbone, careful to avoid the healing wound, “You dropped me off at my house later that night, an-and you kissed me for the first time. When we played basketball the next day, I fell and scraped my knee even after you told me to plant my feet, but you patched it up anyway, then you asked me to be yours.”

Steve smiled at the memory, relaxing as he saw Billy’s eyes well with tears also. He was coming back to him slowly, remembering.

“You are Billy Hargrove, a flawed human being. You are Billy Hargrove, an amazing person who is always trying to be better despite what life has thrown your way,” Billy’s knees buckled and they both fell, Steve catching Billy the best he could given their current position. Billy held himself up by his palms, vaguely aware he shouldn’t crush Steve. Steve cradled Billy’s face in his hands, tears sliding down his face, into his hair, “You are Billy Hargrove and you are the love of my life.”

He leaned forward and kissed Billy with all the love he could muster, not stopping until he felt Billy release his neck and slide his arms around his waist. Steve pulled back to look into Billy’s eyes, the baby blues that he had fallen in love with.

“Billy?”

Billy nodded his head tentatively, still attempting to ground himself.

Steve let out a sob and threw his arms around Billy in a bone crushing hug, thankful he hadn’t lost him forever. He didn’t even care that Robin and the kids were around to see this. Billy was back and they were both alive.

“I’m sorry,” Billy whispered, face buried in Steve’s neck, “I’m so, so sorry. I didn’t mean to- he made me. You know me, I-I would never.”

Steve pressed a kiss to Billy’s shoulder, “I know, it’s okay. I’ve got you.”

Currently Watching: Thank you for asking, well I have been ensconced in Projects. One was getting thoroughly distracted in keeping up with the Blank Check Buster Keaton series by pausing to watch even more, earlier Buster Keaton. As of yesterday’s plane watch I have now seen his first three features, and every short film he has ever been in (32). I have eight features to go. This was meanwhile in the midst of going back through my M*A*S*H Season 3 list due to yearnings (to document, to see Henry, etc.) I now just need to meet baby BJ to again feel <3 insane, and then I GOTTA LEAVE IT. There are so many movies I want to be watching. Buster Keaton isn’t even in some of them.

Currently Reading: NOTHING, but I did bring a book I haven’t opened yet (Pond, by Claire Louise-Bennett? Lily had recommended it to me)

Current Obsession: Telling myself my garage door definitely closed all the way so I can focus on drinking clarified milk cocktails with my sister in San Francisco

LONG LONG LONG STORYTIME ABOUT HOW MY LIFE GOT FLIP TURNED UPSIDE DOWN THIS PAST WEEKEND (tldr at the bottom)

This is chisme. Gossip. Personal life stuff. But I am, still, very much unemployed.

This wasn't on my 2023 bingo card. I didn't know this was gonna happen when I ate those grapes under the table of a New York dive bar. But sometimes you gotta get your heart broke before you can shake some shit up.

My mentor and close friend owns the tattoo shop we work(ed) at. He taught us how to tattoo on top of some real-life lessons. And if people were to ask me, I'll always credit him for getting me to where I am now. But this bitch is a severely traumatized, unmedicated bipolar who ends up taking it out on the people closest to him. Amazing man who wants to be a good person to his people. But - untreated and refuses therapy.

And while he can be a good man, he will put your ass THROUGH IT. I'm telling you, my homie, Fabian, and I literally had almost quit our apprenticeships because we were helping him build that shop, and it was STRESSFUL. But it made us tough. Instead, I settled for a full mental breakdown along the shore and stared at the lake for an hour or so.

(Side note, why does crying clear up the face and make you look beautiful??? That's no makeup right there?!?!)

We two and our other homie, Primo, have been there for the beginning. I'm talking as soon as quarantine was lifted enough that shops in the city were allowed to reopen and could cut our hair again. (I got a shaggy mullet.) So that's three years of our lives to give to this shop and him. Everyone else that came in and was with us to the end are literally amazing people. Like the social circle we had there was something we don't wanna let go of. And he was almost like our dad in a way.

Anyways! So this summer hasn't been the best and in an effort to get new blood and clients into the shop, four of us decided to work a booth at Anime Magic and represent the shop. There was a whole row just for tattoo artists and we knew a handful of them from other shops. (The community is surprisingly small.) We spent about a month worrying and preparing and buying supplies. It's mine and Mari's first con, but Fabian and David knew what to do and we passed inspection.

All's good, right? I'm excited. I booked @wint3r-h3art and her husband! They came all the way from Boston to get stabbed by me. (Which oh my god I'm still humbled someone would do that!)

So I'm tattooing my first internet friend I get to meet in real life...

Then Mari stopped tattooing and showed me the mass text we got from him.

Bro.

My heart fell into my ass and I felt the world crumble. It was so embarrassing. Had to pull up my big girl panties and knock out these tattoos though. I ain't no punk.

At the end of the night, Fabian and I try to call him, trying to see where his headspace is at and if he's okay. He didn't answer at first, but he called back. I didn't say anything because I was sitting all quiet, full of disappointment and crying a bit. Fabian tried to tell him we are here for him and we love him - only for him to hang up on us.

So we head to the shop to check on every still there. The mood is just...

Everyone is heart broken and disappointed and scared even. But the kicker is the lady who does the office paperwork felt safe enough to tell us how he was acting lately. How he'd talk shit about us and vent his frustrations to her. But he'd act more than okay with us. Even when we would talk to him, he never showed his feelings about anything he vented to her. His mental health was definitely getting worst and with four of us at the convention, all he wanted was for something to go wrong that Friday.

And it did. One of the artists has to go back to her home country for surgery because of a numbness that has been bothering her for three years. She told us she was gonna put her two weeks in and work a little at other places until she had to leave. So when she holds his hands and begins to tell him "I have to leave -"

"Okay then go. Pack your stuff immediately."

Didn't give her a chance to explain or talk even when she begged him to listen. Had to pack her stuff into garbage bags.

Then he sent that massive text that morning we were at the convention.

Mind you, we are a crew of nine people, including two baby apprentices. We think we ain't got jobs. I was able to not think about it the rest of the night because Linda and her hubs were so awesome, and I got to eat and drink something for the first time since 8 or 9 am. (But for real, you guys are the highlight of my story so far!) Anxiety? Betrayal? The streets??? On an empty stomach, good Lord. ⚰️

Day 2 and Day 3 go by. We're still tattooing. But now people are starting to ask questions. So we tell them our situation. It's like blood in the water.

"Come work with us!"

"We got spots!"

"You should come by and talk to the owner of our shop."

Apparently our shop has a GOOD reputation. And all the artists do good work so people want us to work for them.

The now Refuge Gang decided on Sunday night to go to shop and just clean out our equipment, which would leave the owner with a very empty shop on Monday. We just didn't want to deal with him anymore considering he was being very manic with his texting and how he was responding to people in the shop. Gave no illusion that he would change his mind.

That night I felt empty and lost. I felt terrible about that this had to happen with him. He really saved me by teaching me. But this was abusive. With a heavy heart, I was the last to leave my key in the office. Wasn't expecting to cry.

We ended the night with Korean BBQ, plum wine, and several shots of shochu.

I think everything is gonna be alright. He tried to call me twice during this whole thing. But I ignored it because I'm not going back and I need space from him for a long time. Still love him, but that was something I won't tolerate anymore is people abusing me in any shape or form. Even cherished friends.

I have a job lined up not too far from my place and I'll be apprenticing one of the babies from the old shop as part of the deal! Even though she's like my age, but Dani's awesome as fuck. Gotta step my pussy up and guide her and myself on this wild unknown road!

Fingers crossed I just need to meet the boss this Friday to iron out the details. But this one is set up where I could actually... have a life. I can be an artist again. A real, piece of shit, beautifully grotesque, smut artist that I've been! (Check out my Instagram and scroll down, you'll see what I mean.) The Refuge Gang have started a group chat to support and look out for each other. We're making sure everyone will be working again and stable. Someone us even got into some real Chicago staple shops! I'm proud of all these talented hoes.

AND and, HOPEFULLY, because we liked each other so much and we're all incredibly talented - Fabian has spearheaded an idea and is in the works of starting an artist collective! Working on getting funding, investors, a building, THE WORKS. That way we can be artists AND tattoo artists. We'll be our own bosses. If everything goes well, we should have everything organized by the spring. It takes fucking forever for shit to happen in Chicago, but we'll be having meetings to talk and work together on this project.

TLDR: My homie got me and the Refuge Gang fucked up but we're wily. Tattooing isn't for punk bitches.

Since I've finally begun my quest of painstakingly and slowly filling out my bad things happen bingo card, I've decided now would be a good time to send this out into the world!

I have no brains. If you have spoken to me even once, you know this. Combined with the work i've gotta put into classes and zine pieces, I am in the negative in terms of braincells. As such!!

I've decided to beg for ideas from the masses. here's my bingo card, including completed works:

if you'd like to see a fic/drabble from me for any of the prompts above, fill out this form or send over an ask (or message or literally any other way you find to communicate with me works, I'll be checking everything) with prompt, and a general little plot/request!

A google form is the best way I can think of to make this easy and all-access, but any way of sending me a message is perfect! I'll be checking everything, twice :)

I'll be removing the prompts from the form as I get requests, so if you have your heart set on one, make sure to snatch it up!

Here we go the home stretch. I’m really glad I got back into the swing of things. Though I’m not gonna lie while writing the Aizawa one I started crying. I know it’s not gonna hit the same for everyone but anything I write that is similar is usually something very near and dear to my heart.

Do I give a hint at my age from some of my writing? Yes. But you read this, not me.

71: Convention (anime specific)

Naruto

“Are you sure this is a good idea?” You ask looking in the mirror still unsure.

“Y/n, you look perfect. Come on, attending a convention was on your bingo card for the year,” Naruto smiles.

You’d both decided to dress as characters from a show that was popular when you were kids, luckily the show would be rerun so the attention was back. Bleach was a big part of your childhood. That was why wearing a Rukia cosplay felt so liberating for you, though Naruto only needed to put temporary hair dye in his yellow blond hair to get orange.

“It’s not gonna be scary. Come on you know the others are looking forward to this too,” he holds out his hand to you.

“Right.”

It was a short walk from the hotel to the convention center. But no matter where you looked it was crowded. People everywhere. A few signs dogging on others’ hygiene got a chuckle out of you, but what startled you was when someone pulled on your Kon plush.

“Did you make this?” The stranger asks, getting a little too close.

Naruto quickly steps in realizing that you stopped. “Try not to pull on their things, it took us a long time to make everything.”

“Wow, you guys made everything? That’s crazy.”

You grab Naruto’s hand trying not to be too nervous. But there was only so long that everyone would wait, he peeks back at you and smiles.

“Thanks for the compliments but we gotta go. There's a group shoot if you wanna talk more we’ll be there, just don’t pull on our costumes.” With that, you both started walking again.

Yesterday you dedicated the day to getting all your props checked and tagged so that you wouldn’t have anyone saying anything. The first person to come into view was Hinata, dressed as Orihime. Her costume looked so nice you were a little bit jealous.

“Y/N, Naruto, there you two are. Did something happen?” Sakura smiles as she waved the two of you over.

“Yeah, someone grabbed Y/N’s Kon. But we’re all good.” Naruto smiles back.

The group shoot was fun. A few things didn’t play out the way you wanted to but it was nice. Now it was time to zoom back to the hotel and change into your second cosplay before later getting ready for the Rave. Maybe you could do this again with your friends.

That was the thought until someone snagged on your sword and bolted. Frowning you sigh. “Which one is that? Sword number five?”

Naruto looked at you and nodded. “How about next time we don’t bring props? Only for location shoots.”

“Sounds good.” One more filled space on your bingo card.

72: Mosquitos

Damian Wayne

A sharp smack to your shoulder made you turn to the young man next to you. “Stop it! I get that you see them before I feel them but by the night's end I’ll have hand prints all over me and not in a fun way.”

“What’s the fun way?” Garfield asks.

“I’ll tell you when you’re older.”

He rolls over. “I don’t wanna know then.”

Raven nods. “Better that way. Can’t you use your powers to-

“No, I’m not exactly keen on having a small tornado of rocks flying around me,” you roll your eyes.

“Then shouldn’t we go inside?”

“Starfire locked the door we can’t get back in. She said team bonding outside of danger is important,” Wally states.

You nod slowly. “Yes, and getting eaten alive is okay? Not all of us are immune to mosquitoes.”

Damian slaps my neck this time. Making me turn slowly.

“You don’t have to hit that hard!”

He raises a brow. “I hit it just as hard as you hit yourself.”

Narrowing your eyes you stand up. “No, you're hitting it as hard as you think I do. The force you exude is far stronger than what I unleash on myself.”

“Where are you going?” Raven asks, dropping her book.

“For a fucking walk, maybe I’ll get bitten less that way.”

73: “if you talk about how hot it is it gets hotter”

Tobio Kageyama

The past few days have been terrible, you didn’t want to even check the temperature for fear that you would start sweating at the thought. But someone else didn’t share that sentiment. Maybe you finally had to admit that the fake dating was turning into real dating again. Because you and Tobio would take turns staying at each other’s places.

“Y/N, did your aircon get fixed?” Tobio asks as he walks in.

“No.” Chewing on a candy you try to rack your brain for more information. “Did we have plans for the weekend?”

He plops down next to you and shakes his head, placing a cold bottle of water next to you. “Everyone’s busy. I’ve been swamped with practice.”

“Right.” You frown at the marked date on your calendar, but it didn’t have any details, just a notification labeled: iykyk. Why did you have to be such a smartass?

Looking over your shoulder at your computer Tobio frowns. “Why do you insist on labeling things that way?”

You push him off your back. “Stop it, I'm sticky.”

“But it’s hot.”

Trying your best to tune him out you start searching through your files and folder again. Maybe it was a message or some important event that you needed to know the reason for. Hopefully, it wasn’t another character's birthday, when you’d thought you’d gotten rid of the last of your childhood obsession you found a date marked for April twentieth.

“Y/N, when is the aircon gonna get fixed?”

“I don’t know.”

You liked it better when he was awkward with you and refused to talk.

“Y/N-

You close your laptop and turn to him. “Tobio, baby, the love of my life. Father to possible fur babies or real babies, if you keep talking about how hot it is it gets hotter. Go take a shower and shut up for five mornings okay?”

He smirks. “I win.”

“Yeah, yeah. Rub it in, why don’t you? Now go shower.” You roll your eyes.

Yeah, the calendar marking was for the maintenance people to come by and fix the aircon. You had to reschedule for the fourth time that month.

74: Cicada

Shindo

By adjusting your headphones you could filter out certain sounds. There was only one sound you didn’t want to hear this late in the summer. The screaming reminded you of the temperature.

“You hear that?” Your body was thrown forward as your patrol mate slapped his hand against your back.

Hissing you, try to look back. “Fuck me. Grand, was that necessary?”

He smirks. “Only if you-

“Ah, shut up. Don’t even. If it’s our time let’s go, I have a few things I need to check on,” you start walking out the door.

Shindo follows behind you probably admiring the mark he left on your back. “So do you hear it?”

You shake your head. “Filters on. It helps with calls.”

“Of course, you’d do that first. Cicadas are a lot louder than usual.”

Throwing your glove at him you frown. “Not cool, you wear the least in our generation, you’d think you’d be kinder to us.”

“Awe but I wanted to see you get hot.”

You narrow your eyes. “I would rather not get nuclear out of a battle setting. The radiation glow ain’t exactly flattering.”

Maybe being a hero wasn’t a great idea, especially not with your shirt temper but it was what you got to do. Yes, your quirk was dangerous, but with so much help from your teachers, you could control your quirk despite a few unfix-able things. But maybe being a human nuclear plant it just came with the territory.

“Awe come on you’re pretty much already glowing,” he eggs on.

“Shut up.”

“But baby, you told me you love when I run my mouth.”

“I’d beat your ass if we weren’t working.” You huff before looking around. If he’s feeling lien this it’s gonna be a long patrol.

75: Skinny dipping

Kaminari

The beach mission was a long one. Holding your juice you hold it up so the patio light shows through.

“You okay?” Kaminari asks as you bring your wings up.

“Yeah, I’m just thinking. What’s it like you know, being normal?” You needed to really think about this right now when you were supposed to be thinking of the report you’d be putting in a few days?

Kaminari frowns. “What do you mean normal?”

Holding up your cup you watch the liquid swish around with your hand motions. “I dunno what I mean by normal. Obviously Todoroki isn’t normal because raised by a pro hero and working through all that emotional trauma must have been hard. But I was a villain. I was [redacted] . I feel like an anomaly in all this. My earliest memory is my guardian teaching me how to pickpocket, how to swindle people right before their eyes. It was only after going to school that I realized it was wrong.”

He nods. “Wanna do something normal?”

“What?” Glancing at him you wondered if you should ever be wary of the smile.

“Skinny dipping.”

It was a few minutes you were at a dark part of the lagoon, there wasn’t any fish to be found there so that wasn’t a worry. Your worry was being a winged human who never submerged themselves in water before. Like instinct anytime you jump your wings would raise you up. But now down to your skivvies, you had two thoughts cross your mind. This is a bad idea, and Kaminari is definitely plastered.

Blinking a few times after the water rushes over your head you look around. Inky colors surround you as you grip Kaminari’s hand for dear life. Maybe you really shouldn’t have done this? Your wings pressed firmly to your back and you could already feel your frustration coming out as the water heats up around you. He didn’t let go.

Breaking the surface and drinking the sweet air you glare. “Let go you idiot, I’m getting too hot.”

“No, because it’s better if I hold your hand. None of those things matter anymore Y/N,” he smiles. “You’re H/N. Nothing can change that.”

76: Boating

Lisa

“Junior librarian-

“I have a name.” You sigh.

Yes now you were permanently in the library, not that you minded the quiet when it came. But the idea that the title carried more weight than your own name made you frown.

“Miss Lisa is busy?”

You nod. “Right now she left to report to the grand master, I’m only here for a moment until she needs me to run errands for her.”

“That’s exactly what I need you to do lovely.”

Her hand on your shoulder felt shocking in a bad way. “I’m not going to like this, am I?”

No no you didn’t. Your task was boating. Man did you wish that you weren’t about to take Lisa on a boat.

“Lovely, I’m sure you’ll be great at this,” Lisa smiles as you hold the oar.

You look at her for a moment before looking forward again. “This is a poor idea, and I won’t be held responsible if the boat flips.”

“Mhmm. You should be more careful though,” Lisa smiles.

77: Hammock

Aizawa

Maybe it was the cool breeze in the usually hot night that made you think about these things. Your parents, the love you wish they had all the time and how you wish it was completely yours. Your dad wasn’t home but when he was you realized he was the kindest man you’d ever met. Not that men weren’t kind, you just got an odd vibe. So as you sit on the deck of your childhood home thinking about your father’s kindness you think about the hammock.

“Daddy can we swing in the hammock?” So full of energy and excitement you pleaded for a few more minutes in the night to look up at the stars creating imaginary pictures and feeling the rumble of your fathers voice on your back lulling you into a comforting sleep.

But right now you watched as your youngest daughter curled into your husband’s arms, they were both too big for the hammock, you would probably buy a bigger one so they wouldn’t get hurt. Maybe it was just the low torch light or your floaty feeling from the previous excitement of dancing into the night, but you wouldn’t change this moment for the world.

Shota wasn’t keen on leaving his home country when you suggested it at first but now you wonder if you’d be able to remind him that you’d need to go back to Japan. Eri was on her way to sleep.

His voice was low, just barely audible over the crackling of the dying fire in the pit. “No, I won’t be afraid, just as long as you stand by me.”

As quickly as you could without much noise you went inside, tears streamed down as your heart started to ache. Only once have you told Shota about your father and how he’d hum that song to you as a child. When did he learn it? Not that it mattered, it just felt nice hearing it.

They LOVED people watching.

4. What is AU!Rain's relationship with Audrey? They’re friends, in the most basic way. Audrey thinks she’s better than Rayne, Rayne thinks Audrey needs to go to therapy. Who are her closest friends at Auradon (besides Ben)? Jane! I’m thinking of maybe giving her some oc besties but shes a bit of a loner, some could say she was destined to be with Mal, Evie, Carlos and Jay.

Okay imma answer this one as a chunk because they all link together really well! I’m a firm believer in nurture over nature, but that includes the society you grew up in. So Rain learnt a LOT from her friends. But still, before going to Auradon, she has no problems manipulating and using people, she got that from Gothel.

So! at the end of D1, Rain is skeptical about Gothel (and so is everyone else lol), and has spent the weekend with the a Fitzherberts cos Ruby is her roommate, and that family is like 👀. SO she goes to the isle and confronts gothel and there’s a screaming match. Rain returns to o her dorm and Ruby us in bed and she just gets in next to her and SOBS.

Rain is avoiding it all for a month lol, and Ruby is still her roommate, and Ethan is still running photography club, and Ben is trying to get her to see her parents. She’s confused and upset, but also comforted when she meets them again.

"Looks like you don't gotta be a bespectacled brunette with a bad attitude to seize my means of production." Her voice lilts with enough innuendo to eliminate any further ambiguity from her words. "Not supposed to check all the boxes anyway. That happens, I know you're lying—but it didn't happen, so..."

just wanted to take this time to say that im alive yes yes

but i also had, and currently am going through a lot and i dunno i just gotta think it through as a i write

just as i was getting better from whatever ailment that was, my allergies are preventing me from sniffing normally lol

but no, the biggest thing is that my uncle died yesterday and now....going to a funeral seems to be on my bingo card for several years in a row.

after reeling from that, im doing a little better today, but now there's so much family drama that is mandatory to ensue because, ya know, know one *really* cares about you until you die and have stuff to take, right?

and then there's more family members who are in a bit of trouble and...im just....

taxed, maybe.

yesterday, i really wanted to just break down. but i know i couldnt.

it's because i know things will get better that i can't make such stink of things, ya know?

i really hate when...people can't be appreciative when you know it could be far worse.. ..especially when we've been through it collectively.

and even at this point in my life, i still can't tell if im just hopelessly optimistic or just still so dang childish.

i dunno.

either way, i told myself i was gonna stop posting negative stuff here lololololol thats for the other blog lmao and just be happier, so that's what imma do.

i gotta lotta screenshots and replies to tend to so that should pick up the mood.

Twitter reacts to Pusha T's "Spicy Fish Diss Track" for Arby's

Pusha T, the mastermind behind the Drake diss track “The Story of Adidon,” is taking shots at his new victim. In a new ad promoting Arby’s new Spicy Fish Sandwich, the Virginia native comes for McDonald’s and their Filet-O-Fish meal.

“I’m the reason the whole world love it and now I gotta crush it/ Filet-O-Fish is — and you should be disgusted/How dare you sell a square fish asking us to trust it/ A half slice of cheese Mickey D’s on a budget?” he raps before putting people on to his new obsession. “Arby’s crispy fish is simply it/With lines ’round the corner/You might need as guest list/Exit stage left, the sandwiches taste fresh.”

The track continues with comparisons between the McDonald’s and Arby’s sandwiches, the latter of which Pusha T favors. In an Instagram post announcing the diss track, he doubled down on his claim that the Spicy Fish sandwich reigns supreme over the Filet-O-Fish.

“Just dropped a diss track with @Arbys. Grab some popcorn and a Spicy Fish Sandwich,” Pusha wrote. “#ArbysSpicyFishDissTrack #ArbysPaidMeButIWouldSayThisAnyway.”

Pusha T’s involvement with the “Spicy Fish Diss Track” makes perfect sense given his relationship with both fast-food restaurants. In 2003, he wrote McDonald’s popular “I’m Lovin’ It” jingle and was only paid upfront for the gig, missing out on publishing royalties over the last few years.

“I want artists to know that part. Keep your publishing,” he advised amid his appearance on “Drink Champs.” “That check will be nice, but ‘I’m Lovin’ It’ been running for how long now? I did This in ’03. Who knows what it would have been.”

Learning from his mistake, he now owns publishing rights for Arby’s “We have the meats” slogan. “The get back is real. I also own 40 percent of the Arby’s commercial,” Pusha continued. “You live and you learn.”

Like most of his songs, Pusha T’s Arby’s ad was met with reactions from social media users. Look at some of them below.
