Admittedly I am still having an allergic reaction to the chemo, so like… just quietly, I do physically feel awful, but mentally I'm doing well!

Like, my senses are a little wacky right now, right? My sight isn't as blurry as it was, but it was off for a bit. Taste, too - things taste too metallic, too acidic right now. But truly, the most bizarre thing I have experienced so far (and I'm a million per cent going to slap this experience right onto poor Luca bc I know it will make him rage, being a musician and all) is sound.

🎵 Music. Sounds. Wrong. 🎵

I can't even begin to describe how strange this is. I don't have perfect pitch or anything, but I do have good pitch recall - if I start singing a song and it's in the wrong key, I have to start again bc I can remember how it is supposed to sound and it bothers me when it's off.

I'm still not processing sound quite right bc all the songs I am listening to rn are ever so slightly out of key. Pitch is too sharp sometimes, too flat at others. The tempo seems off. Notes sound hollow. The mixing is to spacious. The tones are just a little too dull. It's so wild!

I've had to switch out to playlists full of songs I don't know bc if I listen to something I remember the correct key of, I feel like I'm in some uncanny valley, haunted house-esque space where the music is trying to bite me.
