Would you ever consider including nurse ann in more of your art/ stories? She's one of my favorite characters and I think your design for her is amazing lmao- I'd also sort of like to know what her relationship with the others would be like
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
yes. actually. i would love to . ok i have some vague ideas for how shed fit into the lore so thatll be under the cut !! i also start rambling about lulus lore too cuz i decided theyre friends.
ok so, again, my au is based around slenders forest being like... some sort of magnet for the paranormal. slenderman wants to keep all of these cryptids within the forest.
since its in a fictionalized forest in tuscaloosa, where marble hornets was filmed, i decided to move the abanonded hospital they visited up north of the tuscaloosa lake. she roams there.
SOOOOO nurse ann is just... a demon. slenders forest is sort of like limbo for a lot of the cryptids and kinda puts them in like.. a long daze and loops unless they're consistently leaving or being grounded by humans.
i dont EXACTLY know why/how she's in that specfic hospital, especially since i dont believe she has an official origin? maybe when the hospital shut down, she was let go and wasn't transferred to work in a new hospital, so she lost her shit and preformed some crazy rituals that ended up making her an undead nurse ? now she's forever roaming the hospital. or maybe she was killing patients when she was a human and kept doing weird demon shit with their bodies and the operator/zalgo fed off of her bad vibes. LOL IDK.
now about lulu cuz i drew her too.
i used to be sooo fond of lulu. and i originally said she was just going to be another ghost roaming the forest pointlessly, mourning everything and being incapable of interacting with humans, BUUUUUT. she is 24 and NOT A GHOST?!?!??!?! IDK WHY ALL THIS TIME I THOUGHT SHE WAS JUST A GHOST WHO AGES CUZ YK HOW CHIBIWORKS STUFF WAS BACK THEN LOL... i def am tired of little kids being tortured and all these children ghosts tho so im kinda glad to have smth new to write. anyway. so im thinking lulus just another little demon thing... i'm thinking her story goes.
she was in strict private schools all of k-12, and went to uni on her own in tuscaloosa. she wanted to branch out, have a little rebelious phase, make friends, etc. tried to join a co-ed frat. she experienced an absolutely horrific hazing when she was like 19, the frat fully believed they killed her by accident and in their panic, tried to bury her in slenders forest, and some demonic entity in the forest infected her before she was buried fully. she ends up climbing out of her shallow grave, never having died. perhaps the operator did it, perhaps zalgo like in her og lore ? PERHAPS ANN CUZ SHES A DEMON HERSELF?
anywaaayyyyy :3 l think theyd be cute friends. they just look really cute together and i could see good chemistry so i totally would love to expand on them and make them friends. maybe expand more on the type of species they are, what kind of powers they have(esp if i make ann the demon who infects lulu).
BUUUUT ALSO this made me realize i should totally look into adding zalgo to my lore. cuz it doesnt make sense for the operator to make anyone a demon, thats not really what he does.... and i dont want him to do that i just dont like the vibes. so mmm yes.
anyway in terms of relationships..
lulu and her are cool good besties beautiful they would take selfies and do tiktok dances together.
masky and hoody are incredibly indifferent to her, because they dont have to worry/visit her often. she stays in the hospital thats in the forest, and thats exactly where slenderman wants her, so theyre content. theyre kinda grateful she keeps lulu in the hospital too, cuz lulu actually freaks them out bc she'll be jumping at them and shit talking about their eyes.
tobys EXTREMELY scared of ghosts (bc of his hallucinations of his sisters ghost . . ). he eventually gets over it(kinda?) with sally, but he keeps accusing ann and lulu and the sort of being ghosts cuz they just.. kinda pop in and out. at least jack has to walk into the room to show up. so he doesnt like them
mmm jack wouldnt like her IF he knows that she kinda turned herself into a demon through like, a ritual or smth. he'd be beyond pissed to know someone CHOSE to be what he is. if he doesnt know, he doesnt care for her. he kinda jokes about 'well why dont YOU be their medic' and shes like 'dont fuckin wanna be'.
jane and liu and kate prob dont know her... kate might but wouldnt care.
jeff would prob think shes hot or some bullshit and nina would be beyond pissed. at first ninas like AHHH SHES SO COOL cuz shes a fangirl at heart, but the second she hears a single 'goddamn' from jeff shes livid.
ben prob wouldnt care much for her... hes so uninterested in demons idk why i just feel like he doesnt care.
clockwork would LOVE HER. she'd think she's so fucking cool. she'd try talking to her all the time but ann prob wouldnt be interested in clocky at all...
ofc the proxies purposefully come into contact with the paranormal the most because thats their job, so i wrote the most for them, but that doesn't mean theyre the closest or anything.
ok thank u anon you did smth to my brain that benefitted my mental health cuz i love writing this shit for the creeps thank u sm .

finally finished the new ref sheet for hollow for the au :D
following the end of the infection, and once hornet brought them to dirtmouth, hollow finally found peace after all the suffering they had to endure. unfortunately, the damage caused by the infection led to the exposed parts of their body becoming quite unstable, as the void in those spots is unable to form back into the hard shell. that is why they now have to wear an eyepatch (first made from bandages, then from hornet’s old cloak, a much stronger material), that covers their now blind eye socket, as well as a set of bandages wrapped around their missing arm. they are considerably weaker now, even after recovering from the injuries, so they spend most of their time resting in the house, away from noise and bright lights. this is where the traits they got from their mother manifest themselves: since the white lady is a plant (or at least a plant-like creature), she’s not very active and tends to stay still for long periods of time. in that aspect, hollow is very similar, so they’re not the most interesting to watch
once pk moved to dirtmouth, he slowly began working on a new arm for hollow, a custom made shell for their void tendrils made from scrap collected in the junk pit. this new prosthesis allowed hollow to pursue a newly discovered hobby: plush sewing. seeing the plushies of the little knight made by bretta, they became interested in the process of making one. with the help of hornet, they learned the basics and used their newly acquired knowledge to sew plushies of all the dirtmouth residents, especially their father, who now keeps all the stuffed toys of varying quality made by hollow in the big pile of pillows and blankets in his room, one he uses to hide away when stressed
and yes, since they have no mouth, they eat by absorbing food into their body, which then instantly dissolves into soul giving them nutrients. quite a traumatizing sight, but i couldn’t pass on the opportunity to make them a tad bit monstrous. they are made of void after all, and void is unpredictable and scary. i also like to think that, similarly to ghost in the game, they can store items within their body. who needs pockets, right?
also: pk taught them how to write, to make the communication between easier. moreover, he encourages them to keep a diary with them wherever they go, so that they can write down their thoughts and feelings about the everything and become more independent as a result

Yes… I am the silksong now!!
My thoughts and headcanons on Hornet. I’ll be real I’ve kinda been ignoring her because I’m terrified of having to tag silksong headcanons, I’ve seen the fucking Reddit. Anyway, enjoy my ramblings.
So I think that a Hornet qualifies as a pale being, she was born to one and has a pale mask of one. More than that she qualifies for being in godhome(a low bar ik, looking at you vengefly king).
She isn’t really a god per-se but definitely is a higher being on par or stronger than the great knights.
She obviously considers herself a spider but overall she inherited very little from Herrah.
Id say she only really got the fangs and dietary needs
Shes absolutely an obligate carnivore, so don’t expect her to be eating plant matter of any type. She does the whole inject her meal with venom to dissolve it and slurp it up deal
this is mostly because even though she’s got the full Wyrms arsenal of teeth and a Wyrms digestive tract her mouth is very small and she only has pedipalps and fangs externally. This means it’s very hard for her to eat any solid food/get it down to where her throat teeth can break it down
So interestingly her body color in combination with the vessels may actually tell us more about the pale kings- see both she and the vessels have black chitin suggesting it may be inherited from the king.
She also has both her fathers number of eyes and limbs, something that infuriates her deeply.
I don’t feel that the hornet we see in canon is her final molt, mostly because it seems like the sealing of THK functionally stopped time in Hallownest. I imagine once they’re free and the Radiance is dead she’ll probably undergo one last molt.
I think her missing limbs(she has 4 that we know of meaning she’d have 4 more as a spider) will actually end up growing into wings with said molt.
She also inherited her aptitude for mechanical stuff from the king. It seems like she makes all of her own stuff. Plus the crafting system and buzz saws in silksong support this.
She likes buzzsaws
I imagine if we could get a better look at the light she casts it’d be a lot like her fathers. She’d be a pale red light that falls far and deep but bears only a subtle influence on the world, like the strumming of gossamer threads.
Shes set down threads all over Hallownest, allowing her to keep track of a ton of things at once by feeling vibrations
She does have spineretes but uses soul to supplement and extend the amount of thread she can make.
She actually really likes the white lady, mostly because of good childhood memories from visiting the palace. She was the cool mom for a while. She’s more conflicted in regards to her towards the events of the game though.
Her favorite food is probably primal aspids, but she’s got a huge soft spot for honey because of her time in the hive. She also likes soups because they’re easier for her to eat(esp the ones Ghost makes)
She has very good eyesight from Herrah, but also has face blindness that she inherited from the king. She makes do, but mostly relies on clothing, scent, and body language to identify people.
As a grub she was the only one of her brood to survive, she was part of a large brood and likely spent her earliest days in a broodsack(that’s just how spiders do shit) but ate all of her potential siblings before hatching-she doesn’t know it but this is a wyrm instinct and her father did exactly the same thing.
She’d absolutely hate that if she found out.
She suspects but isn’t sure about why she’s territorial. Unsurprisingly it’s once again a wyrm thing
Her threads are far stronger and more durable than even those produced by the best weavers, in fact some of her silk may have been used for THKs seals- she probably doesn’t remember this cause she was too young.
Is mad she inherited the kings height. Honestly she’s mad about everything she inherited from him.
She doesn’t know it but she’s fairly resistant to void, especially for someone half mortal.
Sleeps in a giant mess of quilts, pilows, and silk. It’s held slightly off the ground. This is sorta a halfway point between a Wyrms nest and the silk hammocks of the weavers.
Shes a very fidgety and light sleeper, and realistically needs far less sleep than most beings.
Her venom is ridiculously potent, like to the point of being almost unanimously fatal to mortals and weaker higher beings. It would honestly still do a lot of damage to gods too. It’s a symptom of hybrid vigor, wherein the hybrid offspring of two species tends to be stronger, larger, and overall more genetically resilient than either parent.
Hybrids also tend to be sterile.
Hornet probably couldn’t have children if she wasn’t a higher being, even then I’m not really sure she could tbh.
Given enough time and soul she could pull a metamorphosis like her father did, though she doesn’t know how.
What she’d emerge as is unclear, but she’d likely either become a spider goddess in truth. Or even more likely she’d fully become a wyrm and abandon the mortal parts Herrah gave her.
For obvious reasons she won’t do this.
Her favorite color is a toss up between red and purple.
She weaves clothing for her siblings semi-regularly. Kinda gets frustrated at how often Ghost ruins their thought. They’re rough on clothing ig.
She didn’t inherit her fathers ability to burrow, but some of the instincts remain. She’s very frustrated at this.
She’s kinda bad at rembering names too, she gets embarrassed by this and it’s part of why she doesn’t stay anywhere long enough to get to know the bugs there.
Has a charm that was created from Herrahs regrets. It doesn’t do anything but give off the faint sense of a clawed hand on her shoulders and the faint whispers of the lullaby Herrah used to sing to her.
it’s still her single most prized possession
Her needles is a close second and was made of pale ore taken directly from the Pale Wyrms corpse. It’s the one thing her father gave her she loves.
he gave it to her as a gift for her being given a name. He likely used his foresight to figure out how large she’d be as an adult and made it in anticipation of that.
She can go an exceedingly long time without a meal. This was super helpful during the infection when uninflected prey was rare at best.
With age she is becoming more and more powerful as a higher being and will likely eventually become a goddess proper.
She has the lifespan of a Wyrm but doesn’t really know it yet and chalks her remarkable age up to the blurring of time during the infection. Despite this she’s still a child by wyrm standards and has many, many, many years left to live.
Most bugs are absolutely shocked to hear about her actual age.
Lace will be for sure, and she’ll probably live to regret threatening her.
Shes super fast, like almost impossible to track I’m combat at times, this is actually because of her use of both wind and soul magic along with the thread based spells of the weavers.
Her shell is covered with intricate and detailed carvings, this is essentially the weaver version of tattoos.
Im genuinely not too sure if her mask is actually her face like it is for the pale king or just a mask like for Herrah. I lean towards it being her face though.
The bell cult caught her while she was sleeping and that’s the only reseal they survived the encounter.
id say there’s probably a good chance of her ascending to godhood as a possible ending to silksong.
Doesnt really have a sense of humor but does find puns and dad jokes hilarious(they were the only jokes the pale king told when she was little)
Theorectically given enough prep time and motivation she could place webs all over the city of tears(or a similarly sized city) and pull all of the buildings down in one go.
She might also be able to do the whole puppeting corpses thing that happens in the beasts den.
She needs a certain amount of metal in her diet thanks to being part wyrm. It’s really hard for her to find in pieces small enough to fit into her mouth.
Some crack/non-serious headcanons
She’s absolutely a chain smoker on par with Grimm- you know why
When she says Shaw it’s because as a kid she couldn’t say saw, the king would be so damn proud.
She’d be so good at putting up Christmas lights. Like the best even.
secretly loves holidays, could pull of a mean Santa impression by just fucking hustling down peoples chimneys and stealing their cookies. She’d even have a big ass silk bag full of toys.
Maybe she does this for Hallownest once it’s built?
that’s it’s, this is how she ascends to godhood
Hornet is bug Santa.

Since the creepypasta Fandom loves to put hoody and masky in their little slendermansion. I'd like to see a version of that where you can still have them as "proxies" but they are secretly plotting against slenderman and just become proxies to make everyone think that they are on his side or some. We can still have like all the other proxies such as eyeless jack, Jeff and all those other guys. Also since in alot of the Fandom they act like toby is like part of a little trio with them, I'd say that hoody and masky would convince toby into being against slenderman somehow. But yeah I just would love to see an au where they are plotting against him so it's more closer to fanon then have them be loyal to the Entity that literally ruined their life's, especially Tim, all his friends died because of this guy. Also maybe since hoody is dead canonly in marble hornets don't have him as a live person have him as like a ghost of sorts. I don't know I'm just thinking but it would be nice to see a slendermansion where all the characters are shown right.

Could you talk about the Shade Lord? Especially the apologist part, what needs apologising (genuine question)?
Oh the apologist part is just me joking about how I'd defend LOS no matter what they do, not necessarily because they actually did anything bad lol. And if they did, I'd fight for them all the same bc they're my little meow-meow and some murders are funny (there's a reason why my Destiny 2 sideblog is ahamkara-apologist, even though the Ahamkara as a race are vastly more problematic than the LOS- they're space dragons and I love them). Ofc, there's always those people who think that the Lord of Shades is some kind of evil entity unleashed by Ghost that'll bring about the ruin of Hallownest twice over (usually people who don't realize that the Lord of Shades is CONTROLLED by Ghost- it's the shades of all the dead vessels with Ghost as its Focus), but mostly its just bc I adore them. Though it does have the added bonus of pointing out that while I like the Pale King and the Radiance as characters, I'm ultimately sympathetic to the vessels the most, which is a core point in my ramblings that I fear often gets lost, especially when I get angry about the 'PK is a colonizer and the moth tribes/Radi were the natives he genocided take'- because idgaf about people hating PK, what I hate is how incorrect that was AS WELL AS how it ignores the fact that the Void Civilization came before the Radiance did, which always seems to be conveniently forgotten or brushed over in those arguments. The fact of the matter is that Radi and PK aren't the 'secret heroes' no matter how you spin it, they're monsters that abused, tortured, and manipulated the voidborn- aka Ghost, their siblings, and (maybe) those that used to worship their element. Sympathetic monsters, yes, monsters who are caught in a tragedy, but still monsters. It's the Void that's the victim, and I stand by that in its entirety. Every act of retribution was justified. Even them killing Godseeker- which is the argument some people use for them being evil- because why shouldn't they? She was awful to them, cruel and rude and scornful just like the Pale King was cruel and the Radiance was hateful. SHE was the reason why the Radiance grew in power to become Absolute Radiance. She deserved what she got, 100%. Ghost and their siblings endured a lifetime of torment from the moment they were hatched, they deserve EVERY little scrap of retribution they get- and they aren't monsters for lashing out at the ones who caused the pain in the first place. It's all justifiable
(Also, neither PK nor Radi are my favs. Hollow is, with their relationship to their siblings [specifically Hornet] being my fav dynamic. I only like to explore PK and Radi in depth because of their impact on Hollow's life. So needless to say I'm a void stan through and through, and since the Lord of Shades is all of them, it fits)
As for the Lord of Shades themselves! I think I already sort of covered why I love them so much just in the first two paragraphs- they are all the shades of the dead vessels poured into one entity, with Ghost as the Focus, and thus the Lord of Shades is in essence Ghost (and co, minus Hollow probably) in their ascendant form, as a true Higher Being. Which is in of itself a monumental feat for something that was hatched to die, a godling denied their deific status by beings who could not understand them as anything but death. They're vengence and defiance made manifest, and they were reformed into the shape they are now because they looked into the eyes of their creators and tormenters and said no more. The first step towards their creation, the catalyst for their metamorphasis, was turning the Kingsoul into the Voidheart- very literally rejecting the Pale King's edict and reforming it into a beacon of their own power, accepting their nature and defying their maker. They looked at the very soul of someone who had cast their eggs into the dark sea below, who hatched them into a graveyard and watched them die in the millions, who made them to be slaughtered for his own cause because he thought they as the voidborn were less than alive- and they said 'I reject you. I reject what you said to me. I reject what you represent. I reject your vision, the way you made me to be. I will forge my own path. I will make my own way. I will accept what I am and I will show you right now that I am alive, I am here, I am not heartless and I am not thoughtless. I am what I am. I am the Void. And I will do what I must to save the family that you left behind.'
AND THEY DID IT FOR THE LOVE OF THEIR SIBLING, they did it for the love of the Hollow Knight, who let them fall and left them to die when they were both just hatchlings, who they had no obligation to save and yet rushed back to do so anyways. And they soldiered on through impossible odds, through endless fights in life and dream all while a spiteful, hateful creature hissed at their worthlessness and empowered their worst enemy, so that they could destroy the Radiance in her entirety, before she could be brought back at the peak of her power. The entire REASON that they could become the Lord of Shades in the first place and WHY they achieved that metamorphasis was for the love of their family- and for a vengence long-overdue, to say 'enough, enough!' and end the torment that plagued their kind for so long for no other reason than the selfishness of other gods. Dream No More was a beautiful ending that encapsulated the vessels finally getting peace, but I love the Embrace the Void ending because to me it feels like Ghost (and the other vessels) are reclaiming what was rightfully theirs, by force, from the entities who subjugated them for so long, and taking their rightful place as the major god of Hallownest- a birthright stolen from them by the Radiance, and denied to them by the Pale Gods.
(Also you can very easily imagine the LOS as Ghost being essentially a streamer with the other vessels being their chat and I love that sm. The-Many-Who-Are-One. My beloveds)
So yeah, that's why I'm the Shade Lord apologist. I fucking love them. 1000000/10 god

Ok I'll bite; in the Radi Vessel AU, what would Hollow's relationship with Ghost be? Would they be hostile toward them, welcoming as long as they don't try and stop them, or protective toward them to try and make up for the past? Heck, I could even see in that case Radi!Hollow trying to keep Ghost at their side at all times and learning to gaslight them into staying with them?
OK SO It took me a bit to answer this because to me the relationship between Ghost and Hollow is very unusual, especially bc of personal Headcanons I have about them
To me Ghost and Hollow were somewhat closer the moment both of them hatched in the Abyss, maybe not 100% attached to each other, but they still did care about the other, up until Hollow was picked by PK and they just decided to go with him, not thinking too much about their decision at that moment bc, well, you cannot expect a kid to take good decisions HAKDHAJD
I don't think Ghost felt betrayed? Just very confused as to why their sibling isn't there anymore? and lonely because there was barely any living vessel down there and the ones that lived didn't want anything to do with them (kinda like when u take a puppy from their litter and it misses their presence)
After they escaped the Abyss and went out of Hallownest, Ghost would eventually forget about Hollow (because bugs that leave Hallownest lose their memories), in the other hand though, Hollow does remember Ghost, and as they grew older they would always wonder happened to them (They were definitely dead, right? Just like the rest of their siblings down there, right?) But as the Hollow Knight they forbid themselves to think too much about it and then as the Radiance Vessel there was no point on wondering, even if they left the Abyss to exist, they could no longer go there, for their light was dangerous to the void and vice versa, if they were dead finding their mask was hopeless, if they were alive they would def try and attack them or hide from them
In the game Ghost comes back to Hallownest bc of Hollow no longer being able to hold on the Radiance, their scream (or rather Radi's scream, though I'd like to think part of the call came from them as well, even if they don't really have a voice?? It's weird ahskshdjd bc to me rather than following the call of the Radiance it was the vessels trying to find the sibling that called bc they're in lot of pain) calling the vessels towards them, if we go by this au, it would be because Ghost would accidentally stumble back into Hallownest, no call to answer, just coming to a kingdom that is far too eerie
At this point I am not sure how they reach their meeting, but I know it's not gonna be a pleasant one. It would take time for Hollow to recognize Ghost, but by the time they do they wouldn't just accept them with open arms, mostly bc I think at this point Ghost tried to pull an Ultrakill in the kingdom AJDJAKFBSKJG so it's a bunch of mixed feelings
But when the anger of their reunion dies down I think the guilt Hollow felt back then would crawl back, the thoughts they stopped from forming many times finally appear and the grief they were trying to ignore comes in waves, bc hey, the sibling they missed was alive all along! But they don't seem to remember them at all and is 100% down to throw fists
So, to summarize: First there's hostility, then guilt and sadness, then annoyance at Ghost's attempts to fight Hollow but also protectiveness because despite everything, Hollow wants to give Ghost the life Hollow wish they could've had (plus if somehow they make Ghost not wanting to attack anything Radi related then maybe they can use that as a case so Radi can let Hollow search for any other sibling that may stay still alive)
All of that could happen if Hornet does not intercede Ghost before they go bonkers in Hallownest HAKDHSJD
Hopefully this answered ur question! If u got any more or any ideas you'd like to share I'm open to hear them :3

HK Face Sheet ft. My gijinkas of them :)
From top to bottom: Lurien - Kira (HK oc) - Estella (HK oc) - Monomon - Quirrel - Hornet - Ghost - Hollow - Pale King - White Lady - Herrah
Design Notes / Lore Stuff:
The Watcher Family (Lurien, Kira & Estella) all have matching braids. Lurien's a strand on the side of his face. Kira's a side braid (both while in a bun and not). Estella's is a braid itself.
Monomon usually has her hair in a messy bun just so it's not in the way (especially during experiments). Only lets her hair down on special occasions.
Quirrel's hair is maintained in medium length. Often times neglects how his hair looks since it'll be covered up by his bandanna anyway. Rarely lets his hair grow out to be too long, but when it does, he'll tie it in a ponytail for the time being. (Only happens when he's too absorbed in a project of his).
Hornet's hair is an off-white color. Used to have long hair but she prefers to have it in medium length. She also has pretty fair skin, but can tan very easily.
Ghost's hair is taken after the White Lady (very fluffy). Their shade doesn't consist of a mouth.
Hollow's hair is taken after the Pale King (very smooth and straight). Their shorter hair is in reference to their "golden days" (as a pure vessel).
Pale King's hair is a bit long. Not completely straight as it's kinda wavy.
The White Lady's hair is much longer (just wasn't able to draw it in). Has an accessory that holds her hair like a bun/ponytail (but not quite).
Herrah's hair is much longer than portrayed too. Very fluffy and messy, but it has its charm to it.
I also have a few other headcanons regarding my gijinka designs for a few them (especially the vessels). But for now, this post is mostly focused on their faces + hair.

Hey hey! Been scrolling through your account and I absolutely loved your art! The au and comic too! The designs are so— cfyhdycfjdghcyjdghjc/pos
And through my scrolling I saw your CoTL x Wakfu art (loved that too, especially Leshy as a Sadida!) And wanted to ask : did you know that season 4 of Wakfu came out? And if you watched it, what are your thoughts on it?
(Apologies if it bothered!
Keep going, you're going great, and have a good day!)
Oh yeah, I watched it :0
Can't say that is was the best thing in the world, but I liked it for what it was.
Was happy to see our boy Yugo's physical form to finally catch up with his age even if it's done through trauma. Cheers to you, Yumalia shippers, hope you have a field day uwu
And more Eliatrope lore is always good✨
As well as more Ush. I don't know why, but I seem to have some kind of fascination with him.
Also, fun thing I noticed, but is it's just me or does the trio of Yugo (pre-torture), Nora and Qilby is basically matching Ghost, Hornet and Hollow from Hollow knight?
Like, a blue powerful twink that is apparently a king now and his physical form looks way more childish than his actual age (Ghost was born at least at the same time Hollow was. At the very least they're the same age).
Their sister in a magenta cloak with an Attitude™
And a tall ass sibling with some kind of trauma that beats the hell out of the blue twink at some point (willingly or not) and also doesn't have one arm

While I love Hollow being sweet and innocent- and really, I do -I still wish they were allowed to have a bit more. . . character flaws, especially post-recovery, that are reflective of their upbringing as the Pale King's most prized child. Some ideas:
While they don't hold others to the same ridiculous standards of perfection they hold themself to, I imagine they still have unreasonably high expectations for what it means to perform a task well. It makes them irrationally angry when something isn't done correctly in their opinion- not evidenced by any direct outburst, but by them following behind and fixing any perceived mistakes left by the other person.
Hollow is an organizational freak. Once they get over their initial "can't express themself even when alone" routine, if left bored, they can and will alphabetize/sort anything they get their hands on, often in a system that makes sense to only them.
While, considering their position, they do have a startling amount of empathy for the common bug, they still don't really notice commoners that much. Their usual instinct is to ignore anyone who doesn't look clean. Their siblings are the only exception.
They make snap judgements. Unfortunately, their decision-making philosophy is based on the rather extreme sense of utilitarianism that they got straight from their dad.
They are STUBBORN in their beliefs, even if getting them to express said beliefs is like pulling teeth.
Needless to say, no one has been able to change their mind about Pale King quite yet.
And after they've been freed, they still see the "end goal" of it all to rebuild Hallownest again exactly as it was. They don't want to consider the possibility that perhaps some things in the kingdom needed to be changed.
(These two points are their biggest disagreements with Ghost and Hornet respectively. The siblings do not talk politics in the house.)
TERRITORIAL AS SHIT with other gods. If the Grimm Troupe shows up it's on sight. They've had enough gods waltzing in and wrecking their shit for one life time, thank you very much, and they do not have the patience to wait and see which ones might be friendly. Peace was never an option.
(yes, this means they do have problems with the Void. They know that they're made of void, they know that it saved them, and they do love Ghost very much. . . but they still aren't comfortable with it. They would much rather identify with the pale side of their heritage.)
Hollow's pain tolerance is through the roof, and combined with their ability to heal, their perception of how much punishment an ordinary bug can take is severely skewed. A bug could be stabbed in front of them and they'd think "oh, walk it off."
I'm sorry but you'd have to tie this vessel down in order to get them to take any kind of medication, especially mental health meds.

As much I love Ghost x reader and both are in the military.
I want to write the reader being creative, like they work for their own thing. Like a freelance artist Being it comics, art or something.
Especially horror. Idk I think it's a cute dynamic.
Like Simon walks in and he sees you in the living room floor making a plush/puppet. After being through hell and sees you happily show what your working on.
Or your filming your lastest video for a horror series marble hornets style.
Or your drawing the lastest panel of your comic in your office.
Etc you get the idea?
Bonus.
If you work on horror or anything revolving guns / wounds for story plots or art. He gives you tips or help once an while. Pointing what needs to be fix.

hm. monster high mh au. what monsters/cryptids whatever are they atlas?
what an EXCELLENT question omg omg omg i love monster high, this is perfect
there are literally so so so many possibilities of what could fit them, but heres my general list
alex- gargoyle. hes stone faced, cold, and has got a helluva chip on his shoulder. his dog is named rocky. plus i think he would look hot in that kind of design. the gargoyle designs go HARD
i know everyone normally says werewolf for tim (just like alex is usually a vampire) BUT if this is a monster high au then im gonna think outside the box and say
tim- boogeyman. if youre familiar with twyla, i think he would be pretty much like her, except he would be the introvert side instead of shy side of this meme
Tumblr media
going on,
brian- zombie, though im hesitant and can be swayed to something else. i just think it sort of fits his hoody vibe. shuffling and grim and sulking in graveyards. dirty and leaves in his hair. he would make suchhhh a cute zombie, especially if he combined parts with a frankenstein monster situation and stitched his limbs back on and got electricity boosts!
jay- invisible man. like invisibilly. he uses his powers for evil and for stalking and stuff. its awesome. he pranks alex so much and alex hates it HSDKJGFHKGJ
jessica- skeleton. reference to her dynamic with skully in the comics, plus i feel like it just Fits her
seth- voodoo doll. i know the character hoodude voodoo was technically "made by frankie" and wasnt "born" like the rest of them, but just consider this: white doll reference, and brian makes him? is this anything?
amy- ghost. reference to her haunting the narrative of season two marble hornets. also she totally fits being all floaty and creepy and ghoulish. i think she would be some kind of banshee type ghost. very horrifying and screamy. ohohoho this is good stuff.
sarah- im gonna say vampire, BUT she would look a lot more like a batsy claro style vampire with wings and stuff, she isnt pink like draculaura or valentine.

in another time and another place
more of this swap AU...
a friend of mine compared this doodle:
Tumblr media
to the scene where hornet meets ghost in greenpath, and i thought that was so interesting because it wasn't a connection i made myself!
which gave me an excuse to draw this...
to not ramble too much, just in my own view of ghost and hornet's relationship, i feel like they chased after her because they wanted to know who she is, and were surprised at her hostility when they finally catch up to her in greenpath. and hornet, for her part, has been alone long enough that someone wanting to be close to her is a very foreign thing; she is oblivious to this and would be surprised if she learned that she mattered to them. especially since she has a lot of bad tangled feelings about all her less fortunate siblings
so there's that kind of vibe in swap AU too. they never really spoke to each other, and hornet for her part never took notice of them beyond this one moment. and ghost felt she was significant enough to name themself after this idle comment she made...(and as seen in the other swap AU pic they don't really have a good relationship with the pale king and white lady even when they don't get tossed in the abyss. TFW there's a lot of ways short of infanticide to fail at parenting and people able to go to infanticide are very likely to fall into one of the other things)

does hornet like herrah
"Like" is probably the best way to put it, she does respect her as her mother, there is some love in there as well, but her memories of her are so distant that it's not a very close bond.
She moved to the White Palace very soon after hatching from her egg, so her interactions with Herrah were limited. She was too young to fully comprehend what was going on, though thankfully Vyrm was an active participant in her raising (well, as active as he could, he still had his duties and the infection problem to solve), so the actual process of moving wasn't as stressful as it could be.
She did start wondering about her mother once she grew a little older, and would ask her father questions. What was she like? Would she get along with him? Could they be a family if things were different? She never blamed Vyrm for Herrah becoming a dreamer, even if she was young she understood the gravity of the situation, and that Herrah agreed to it. But deep down she really wanted to have a complete family. WL was there for a while, before she and Vyrm separated, but she was always a distant being, she never showed Hornet motherly love, if anything, she would push her own ideas of what a princess should dress and behave like onto her, which only led to their relationship souring even further. So the lack of a mother figure, or at the very least a second parent, made Hornet feel like her family was missing something.
She eventually saw that second parent in Grimm, who began visiting the palace more and more often after WL moved out. He always treated her with kindness and affection. He'd carry her and show her fire tricks, he'd tuck her in and tell her bedtime stories if Vyrm was too exhausted to do it (which would sadly happen more and more often, his poor physical condition started to really affect his life). And above all, he was close with her father, not as close at the time as she once assumed, but it was still a comforting sight. Deep down, she saw Grimm as a parent figure, as her second father, so it's not surprising she assumed they were already partners back then.
(This is offtopic but I haven't talked about her relationship with Grimm for a while. She used to see him as a father figure when she was a child, but these days she struggles to fully accept that thought and call him "father" or "dad". Years of being of her own made her afraid of getting attached, and her anger issues make it difficult for her to not get irritated and push away the thought, especially since Grimm likes to tease her about it. So even if she does view him that way, she never articulates it and refuses to admit it whenever that idea is brought up. Grimm absolutely sees her as his daughter, which only pisses her off even more if he refers to her as such. They are otherwise on very good terms, but this aspect is still quite complicated.)
Over time, she stopped asking about Herrah as often. She was too young at the time to truly miss her now, and as she grew older, the memories became distant. She never forgot about Herrah, life simply got in the way, besides, she never expected to see her again, so why cling onto the memories?
Vyrm's disappearance changed things, she was left by herself and so started reminiscing about the past, trying to find some comfort in the memories. Instead, the memories only brought her pain. Everyone she loved was gone. Herrah was as good as dead, her father disappeared without a trace, and she hasn't seen Grimm even once afterwards. Part of her was angry at all of them for leaving her, but the anger would quickly turn into sadness. And after some time, it made her numb, believing that familiar connections would only bring her pain. A mindset that's still there in the back of her mind whenever she looks at her family members. What if one day they disappear? What if she's left all alone, again?
She did return to Deepnest to visit Herrah's resting place after Ghost ended her life, though it was clearly done out of respect more than anything. And yet, she felt sadness. Herrah was her mother, at the end of the day. Even if they never got the chance to build a close bond, she did the best she could to raise her, and for that Hornet was grateful. Although her mourning was short, and she simply moved on with her life, she never forgot about Herrah, even if it often brought her pain. She was hurting, and yet the memory was the only thing she had left.
Even now, having found her father and Grimm again, she remembers her from time to time. Would Herrah want to be a part of this family? Hornet finds it unlikely, but she chooses to believe that Herrah wouldn't disapprove of this, that she would be glad that Hornet is happy. And she is happy, happier than she's ever been. She finally got what she wanted her entire life - a complete family. Her trauma makes it complicated sometimes, but she still loves them more than anything. She only wishes that Herrah could see this, that she knew that despite the hardships, her little spider got a happy ending. Even if it turned out differently than she had hoped.
