I like when fic authors have such a specific writing style that you can pretty much carbon date them just by their writing quirks

to be real for a second, i think there is a moment in the show where mike has a ~realization~ of sorts about his feelings but hasn't quite put two and two together yet.... and it's this:
this realization of "hey my feelings for will are actually maybe different than my feelings for my other friends, but i'm not sure why" happens at the end of season two. and then mike spends the entirety of season three acting sort of strange and different around will while having his relationship with him constantly juxtaposed with his relationship with el. reaching the end of that season which, despite all the supernatural shit going on, took the time to focus so heavily on those two relationships (and how fundamentally different they are), and having mike have the same realization he had at the end of season two makes no sense because it would mean he accomplished absolutely nothing in his emotional arc during the course season three
especially to claim that he still believes he has feelings for el going into season 4. especially to claim he still believes he has feelings for el by the end of season 4. it's to claim that he has not made any emotional progress in his relationships for at least two full seasons, that he's been going through all of this for it to not have made any conscious impact on him, and the changes in the way he acts from s2-3 and from s3-4 aren't a product of his character developing (growing, changing, to quote hopper's letter) but rather..... ? i don't know actually. just him feeling weird but not understanding himself at all. still. it just doesn't make sense to me. he's one of the main characters of the show, and to keep him emotionally stagnant for 4 out of 5 seasons (especially when we can see that his behavior is changing, that he has not been stagnant at all but rather deeply affected by everything) would be a disservice to his character, first of all, but also a disservice to the narrative which has been showing us his (as well as the other characters') struggle with growing up and growing into himself every season. and it simply doesn't align with what we're being shown
mike is already having realizations by the end of season two. but by the end of season three, he's starting to be really honest with himself about what they mean

I want a spider X dcu but have Peter working at the league's base in space as a mechanic or a scientist, cause of course they will have the best material and information to help him make a way home. Except that Peter is weird.
Like, weird weird. Like, spider bite kind of weird with a hint of different culture from a different world kind of weird.
Listen most of his interactions with humans in their world is with them cause he's at the watchtower all the time, so his understanding of what is normal is a bit skew, and he probably also got used to acting more spidery, especially when in a lab or sm (courtesy of his time at the avenger tower where he doesn't really have to hide his spidery side)
Then you take into account him having a different kind of humour and a different set of memes and you have the whole justice league thinking he's secretly an alien

I've watched and adored Encanto, Wolfwalkers, Across the Spider-Verse, Puss in Boots: The Last Wish, and Guillermo del Toro's Pinocchio. All absolutely incredible animated films that I'm sure will be held up as classics even 20 years from now.
With that said, Nimona is frankly a good step above all of them and my choice for animated film of the decade so far (at least for what I've heard of). An absolutely stellar film on every level. Do yourself a favor and watch it all on YouTube these next few days!
Does it stand a chance at the Oscars? Absolutely not, especially since even the Annies were dominated by Spider-Man. But it would absolutely deserve to. (And again, I adore Spider-Verse and still think it's 100% worthy of the Oscar on its own. It's basically the reverse of the Puss in Boots vs. Pinocchio situation last year. They're both masterpieces, only this time the slightly better masterpiece is almost certainly gonna get left in the cold.)

Are you aware that you gifted an E rated fic to a minor? If so, why do you find that appropriate?
No, I am not aware? I don't really write fics here tumblr, I write and post them over on AO3, where people haven't made broadcasting their biography a habit yet.
To be very frank, I find it a little strange and bordering creepy that you are aware? Like, as just mentioned, people on AO3 don't broadcast their ages as they do on tumblr. On top of that, I don't even remember when I last wrote a story for someone else who wasn't my very much adult best friend, so I'm also not sure how far back you went and what exactly you're even talking about - like, whatever this is about, you're not coming into my inbox about something I posted this week or anything recent. So you came across something I wrote I don't know how long for some stranger on the internet and somehow dug up their age (?) and then trotted from AO3 over here onto tumblr to pose this mh sounding question.
Just, trying to convey how incredibly weird this ask comes off. You do get that, right? How nosy and strange this whole thing comes off and how offensively accusatory that last sentence is.
I really don't appreciate any of that.
To close this ask off, I'd like to remind you that this is the internet and people lie. Like, people are capable of lying. I would really like to remind people of that. Even the ages in the bios here on tumblr mean virtually nothing and people can tell other people whatever they want.

Thank you for the nice tags on the pic published to catchonehand!
Zen as the middle child? I'm curious and would love to know what you're referring to 👀
I got this ask like two days ago I'm so sorry I caught a cold and didn't get to answer fdjgfkdgjkdf
This is the post in question btw for anyone confused because again I reblogged that like two days ago
The fastest answer is I've been seeing a lot of Ramattra as a Protective Older Brother to Zenyatta art, and have always seen Zenyatta Genji in the same Brotherly Found Family kind of relationship (vaguely all my relationships are grey and moldable by recent art I've seen)
So if this Found Family Tree goes Ramattra-Zenyatta-Genji, that makes Zenyatta a Middle Child which I feel is fitting.
The funnier half of it though is that sense Ramattra was made for the Omnic Crisis, and no Omnics were made after the Crisis, this means Zen (at 20) HAS to be older than Ramattra, physically. Meanwhile Genji is 35 if I remember right (the official character page doesn't show their ages anymore so this may be subject to change in OW2)
Meaning by AGE it'd go Genji-Zenyatta-Ramattra, keeping Zen the Middle Child once again.
Out of all the lore we could have possibly gotten for Zenyatta, after 6 years, they choose to make him a Middle Child. Short Middle Sibling Energy.
