Hey guys!! Well, I think it’s about time that I make a pinned post. I’ve been wondering for a while how to write it, how to properly transfer the thoughts in my head into words. When things get overwhelm in my head, I usually like to write it down on my notebook and draw a cloud frame around it. That’s exactly what I’ll do so bear with me :)

☁️ Introduction (Myself): I don’t share my real name here, but I’ve always use Eden as my alias because it sounds similar to my chinese name and with that said, I’m of chinese descent, living somewhere in South East Asia (SEA). I’m a ‘93 baby, single and straight. Height, 166cm and my weight is… 🤫😂 As for my chronic illness, I have Discoid Eczema and I think WebMD would explain it to you more better than I do xD

☁️ Introduction (My blog): My blog is obviously 18+ and MDNI. You can ask me any questions that you have but all I ask in return is that you ask me privately through my inbox or DM and keep it respectful. As for my posts, I will not be posting as frequently as I have been doing so far because the eczema has gotten worst and I don’t have the right headspace and heartspace to do so. But, I will always be here to check the messages and reply to them so you can still find me there.

not to be messy but how do you feel about people stealing other peoples viral posts on tumblr and reposting it on twitter like it’s theirs. (she’s on here by guttergirl-444) & she has stolen many more lol

at first glance it’s like shock and amazement more than anything because i never thought this would happen to me, but when i actually stop to think about it, it actually is very frustrating and invasive. i know it happens all the time and i can’t really stop it, plus my posts have no copyright or anything but it is true, when i make posts that aren’t haha funny laugh a lot play a lot, they kind of are little extensions of my artwork. like drafts and ideas that often get elaborated on if they seem to connect with people.

i don’t really want to dunk on other artists because it feels mean spirited, but i just want to point out this one instance that shows how writing anything on tumblr is “just a tumblr post” and people often don’t consider that there’s a person behind it. it’s almost like a popular tumblr post becomes fair use. This artist here took my words directly from my post (and even used the same iconography of a beach??) and when you click on the link in the description, it takes you to their instagram account with 142k followers. not even a single nod to me, who wrote the actual words. as an extra little punch, they call themself a poet in their bio.

sure my post was a bottom text top text “meme image” but there was a lot behind it—in both thought and time. the exact same ideas and photos made their way into a book i made just a couple months later. i think i sold umm one copy?

all in all, im not complaining about lacking “popularity” because that’s utterly stupid. but there’s something moderately soul-crushing about making a tumblr post and having it ripped to shreds by all walks of life online. It literally feels like i’ve placed something beautiful in the world out of my own kindness, then walked away, and when i come back everyone has defaced and damaged and killed it. it’s kind of invasive but I know it’s the way things go.

i love the anonymity of tumblr but sometimes I wish it we were all a little more open. Maybe people could remember that behind every blog is another person with ideas, cares, opinions, annoyances, and loves. I’m sure this one twitter account isn’t really doing much damage—honestly I haven’t even gone to look at it to see how people are replying—but it’s rough out there on this beautiful social media we call tumblrposts.

Originally I planned to do 1 comic drop and move on, but got stuck bc ppl liked tnmn comics and kept asking for more (and still do-)

Generally I don’t mind doing more if the ideas are there, but I want to address this: I’m tired

I know blowing up is usually a good thing and I appreciate people enjoying my stuff

But it’s exhausting to see that tnmn is the only type of content which is relevant, to the point that my own projects or stuff I enjoy are just kinda.. ignored

It’s fair – again my blog is heavily fandom based

(+Tsp were and still is kinda the focus)

But with tnmn fandom it’s a bit… different

Maybe I’m biased and it’s just my negative experience with tiktok comments

So I was expecting the backlash, but not that much

I think maybe tsp fandom spoiled me a bit (in a good way), bc I got a feeling that everyone in tsp was positive of any lgbt+ headcanons and just generally more supportive

(don’t get me wrong, there ARE problems in tsp community too, taking narrators design controversy into account as one of the examples)

Obviously every fandom always has it’s own issues, show me at least one fandom that didn’t have some sort of meaningless controversy or some sort of problematic people in it

It happens

But it leaves a bad taste in your mouth sometimes

And for me personally it only added to not so pleasant experience

The thing I also noticed, when I interacted with other fandoms

Ppl wrote positive stuff first and foremost, not really asking for anything

Here it’s just “hey more. I want more. Do more. Do this character. Do this. Do more.”

The only reason I kept doing more, because likes, reblogs, views – these comics get a ton of attention

there is a audience to please alright

so i rewatched Dennis Takes a Mental Health Day and i decided to count how many times the word “system” is said. i counted fifteen (15) but there is a small chance that i double counted when he’s on the phone with Daisy cuz i got distracted. someone plz verify this number for me plz. if i double counted that one, then the number is fourteen (14) which would lead to a whole different post. but for now i’ll just talk about the prominence of “system” and not the number. it is said enough in the episode that we can assume it’s not just a coincidence and is certainly a callback to The D.E.N.N.I.S. System and the S.I.N.N.E.D. System. now Dennis’s systems for attracting both involve manipulation but they are very different and we can kinda see that reflected in his fantasy. he is very kind and understanding with the women he imagines. he apologizes frequently and tries to speak gently with them. most importantly he emphasizes how they are all victims of a system they did not create. he says this to the boba tea girl; they’re both victims of the system, specifically her, and he says that neither one of them created it. but he did create this imaginary system that she is the victim of in the same way he created the real D.E.N.N.I.S. System which women are victims of. and when Dennis does apply his system to get some girl just to torment and ultimately ditch her, we do feel bad for them and we do consider them victims of his system. by having Dennis apologize to this imaginary women for being victims of an uncontrollable system, this could be interpreted as him being aware that the way he treats women is shit and he feels guilty. he doesn’t go after any women in season 16. maybe he’s given up chasing women half his age but isn’t ready for women his age. i mean he’s gotten married and had a kid but neither of those normal domestic milestones kept him. he always goes back to the gang. then we have the S.I.N.N.E.D. System. it’s all about really building up and man then breaking him down into someone who’s just kinda putty in your hands. i mean there’s the obvious mommy issues/kink thing but ultimately it’s about reeling in and keeping a man long term. to use this system, you actually have to be interested in a man more than how the D.E.N.N.I.S. System just focuses on a single encounter and cutting ties completely. a man attracted by Dennis’ system isn’t a victim in this case. he is just a guy entering the dating phase of a relationship. the men Dennis encounters in his fantasy are similarly not treated like victims. Dennis is a little more annoyed with them specifically. he complains about the cop asking him to leave his car (a decision not enforced by a system but rather an individual), he gets very snappy with the phone store guy much more so than we see with the women employees, and of course he rips the CEO’s heart out. he does not feel bad for these men. men are not victims in his mind.

now if there were fourteen (14) instances of the word “system” being used in this episode i could make the obvious leap to Klinsky but for now this is all my brain could think of

I’ve been thinking, and I think I’m going to change the way I talk about my headcanons and wof writing to something like a rewrite/reworking. I love wof but it’s become really apparent that the way I engage with it is really more as a world to expand and work in vs a book series I’m analyzing as-is. I think it’ll give me the freedom to actually post the stuff I’m thinking and working on bc I don’t have to keep chaining myself to making it work with all the confusing and contradictory canon tidbits that Tui barely remembers she established. #the the last couple of months videos have been kind of hard to play on the app like I’d click on it and then it would play for a few seconds #then stop and I’d have to do it over and over again until the video would play. with the sound as well #also #another thing that I’d noticed is that whenever I’d play music from another app for example soundcloud etc and would open tumblr back up #to scroll #my music would start to stutter and pause and skip like I thought something was wrong with my phone for the longest #but it turns out it was just tumblr being ass as always #this had been going on for a couple of months as well #but now I can play music outside of the app no problem #not to praise tumblr of course but I’m surprised they actually fixed this shit #especially the being able to search up tags on your own blog now??? Ok bear with me this kind of exploded in the tags bc I just started thinking about it more and like ohh.

Random thought came to me this morning about how when I use to RP Will I HC’d the mask being a thing he used to kind of blot out some of the world because it all felt so loud and bright and it was easier for him to focus his psychic energies with it on, but then I was like wait this sounds familiar to my own experience and maybe I just didn’t realize the connections then but I have pretty bad photosensitivity and get overstimulated/overwhelmed super easy when I’m in crowds and things like that and now I’m like. Ah. If I had known it then I think I just would’ve made that part of the HC lol.

Also it’s just a fucking. Blast to the past looking at that old blog. I am still kinda proud of the name tbh lol bc it was @d-esper-ado (like desperado but with esper in the name, yeah it’s cheesy whatever).

When was Tumblr gonna tell me that you have to follow your side blogs in order to see your own posts?

#just when I thought that I had figured out tumblr #plot twist! #honestly I was so confused that I wasn’t seeing my own posts #why is this not a given? #I just thought it was a weird tumblr thing #but why isn’t it just natural that your main blog follows your side blogs #maybe I’m weird and this is just me #anywho #writers haven is now following all side blogs #crises averted
