also like. could the sticker mean something? absolutely. esp considering the episode title. but otoh, the sticker could just be a sticker that jcc or whoever saw, liked, bought, and put it on there. so like, until we actually see the ep, people need to chill, unclench, touch grass, read the definition of queerbating, etc lmao. 'cause at the end of the day, it's just a sticker on a clapboard that isn't even part of the show and has no bearing or impact on what's actually on screen/canon
I mean, maybe it's because I find myself so disenchanted with and disgusted by Fandom Culture (TM) these days but I really don't think it "means" anything at all. I don't even think it could mean something. It's a sticker. I think sometimes people forget that these characters do not only belong to us. For as much as we, the fans/the audience love Buck and Eddie, the cast and crew who work with them every day love them just as much, if not more. They have their own special connection to certain characters/dynamics, and we know this because of the way they write and bring the characters to life. So to then to have the audacity to presume a sticker is some secret coded message for a niche audience is so... narcissistic. Lol. I won't say cast + crew never give nods to the audience because it does happen, but considering the enormous amount of care TPTB have used when handling Buck/Eddie's dynamic, it seems counterproductive to use a sticker to give a little nod about an episode that hasn't even happened when nothing about this season (except the family dinner in 6x01) has even pointed toward Buck/Eddie moving toward an explicit, romantic relationship thus far.

when do you gaze at your soulmate?
Tumblr media
when they don't know you're there
you want to see who they are at their core. your love smiles for you. they put on a brave face. they tell you off when you're out of line and they encourage you when you know your mistakes are piling up. they're the one who is always there. but there are moments you catch them unawares and that is when you watch them. you want to see the expression their face takes when they aren't being brave for you. you want to see how they smile when it isn't designed to lift your own burdens. you want to see what they say to everyone else. how they talk about you. how everyone else encourages them or if they let anyone be there at all. you want to see what is underneath it all so you can prove that's who you love. the parts of them they try to hide. the parts they think you don't already know and adore.

they should invent a new type of "staying in bed for 2-3 hours after you wake up repeatedly opening and closing apps on your phone" where it makes you feel awesome and energized and emotionally fulfilled

Sometimes I wish we would start calling out the performative radicalism on this site for the poser bullshit it is. "Remember, it's always morally correct to kill a cop!" "Don't forget to firebomb your local government office!" "Wow, it sure would be a shame if these instructions on how to make a molotov cocktail got spread around!"
Okay. But you're not killing cops or firebombing government offices. You are posting on a dying microblogging website to a carefully-curated echo chamber that has radicalized itself into thinking that taking the absolute most extreme position on any subject is praxis but that anyone discussing the most practical way to effect actual change is your sworn enemy. You do not have the street cred OR the activist cred to be talking about killing cops, babe.

Keep seeing that post where OP starts like 'Thinking about...grieving the undead' and then adds on about like. Real life situations where people have not died but have left your life and you would have reason to grieve them.
All respect, that's an important concept, but that is not what I am thinking about when I read 'grieving the undead'.

The world exists in such a baffling state of simultaneous sex-aversion and sex-hegemony. Every social platform on the internet is trying to banish sex workers to the shadow realm but I can't post a tweet without at least two bots replying P U S S Y I N B I O. People are self-censoring sex to seggs and $3× but every other ad you see is still filled with half-naked women. Rightwingers want queer people arrested for so much as existing in the same postal code as a child and are also drumming up a moral panic about how teenage boys aren't getting laid enough. I feel like I'm losing my mind.

people are drawing Steamboat Willie Mickey doing all this crazy shit and whatnot, but you could always do that. you can do that now, with current Mickey, just fine. it's fanart and it's legally protected. hell you could take Disney-drawn Mickey and put a caption about unions or whatever on it and it would still be protected under free speech and sometimes even parody law.
what is special about public domain is that you can SELL him. you could take a screenshot and sell it on a tshirt. you can use him to advertise your plumbing business. people have already uploaded and monetized the original film.
you could always have Mickey say what you want, but now you can profit off it.
