I got a job as a bookseller!!!

#nat talks #listen. it's not the dream bc I've already worked in a bookstore and it's actually terrible at times #but I only really worked during holidays and people were just so rude #BUT I do have higher hopes for this location #also I tentatively know two people who work there so it will be fun! #it's a sub role and a little unclear if I'll only work during christmas and the book sale in feb or more #it depends on if the people who are on sick leave will return and when #but I can keep freelancing and apply for corporate jobs I want in the meantime #at the very least I can work during december either way and if I end up finding something else maybe I can work weekends during the booksal #so to not let them down too much #I honestly am just looking forward to getting out of the house and meeting people and working with my body more #because my mind is very fried #I have a short shift tomorrow to train #then I'll see when I'll officially start but it will probably be soon! #I've had a very busy few days so I wish I had said I could do my training shift next week #bc they gave the option of this wednesday or next #but I didn't want to turn it into a “thing” by letting too much time pass bc I might get anxious about it #but now I wish I had lmao I'm tired #also forgot I was gonna be home alone with the dog tomorrow #had been looking forward to it tbh #oh wellll #work stuff

I’ve just spent the last day bingeing S1 of Daredevil for the first time in OVER A YEAR and, my god, the whole time I just flailing around inside at how goddamn hot Matt Murdock is all over again. 😵💫

It’s crazy. I mean, I’m CharlieThomasCoxUniverse for heavens sake! I see him every single day...but pics and gifs and fanvids pale in comparison to the experience of actually properly seeing and hearing Matt on-screen again. It’s like comparing the warmth of a light bulb to actually standing outside in the heat of the summer sun - there is no comparison. 😮💨

(So glad now that I made myself wait so long before watching Daredevil again. Having been a Charlie fan for so long, I’ve learned to try not to over-watch my faves of his. I always have a better and stronger viewing experience when I haven’t seen something in a while so I try to rotate his filmography. And so, yeah, Matt Murdock’s in-person hotness just hit me like a truck again today and I feel a little faint tbh.🥴🥴🥴 But it’s all good. It’s GREAT. lmao)

#went on my first real work trip in FOUR YEARS yesterday. had one meeting. #woke up this morning and was getting ready for a day of stuff with another one tomorrow #only to find out that one of the only five other people in the wednesday meeting just tested positive for covid #and another had found out she'd been separately exposed as well #so today turned into doing all my meetings on zoom and rearranging travel plans #and now instead of a professional thing i'd been really looking forward to and then a fun weekend add-on with the fam #i'm flying home late tonight to isolate in our third-floor guest room while boyfriend parents etc. #at least we got credit for his and bébé's last-minute flight cancellations #and we decided to leave the dog with the sitter that had already been arranged to just have one less thing on the collective plate for now #but UGH #and what's extra infuriating is that i am probably fine. i got boosted just a few weeks ago and wasn't like hugging anyone or whatever. #but you just don't know and when there's an actual case it's reason to be actually careful #and i'm just so exhausted and bummed about a lot of things already and had so been looking forward to this whole trip #best laid plans #as they say #anyway cross your fingers for me and the battery of rapid tests i'll be taking this weekend #and in addition to staying negative i'm also very concerned about whether anyone will be comfortable will me at thanksgiving #so that's a whole other thing #UGHHHHHHH #fucking #coronavirus
