i'm glad that i find life and planet earth so incredibly beautiful, but i do wish that it'd stop making me cry!!!!!!

the entirety of BFDI so far is 16:10:39 (hours, minutes, seconds). assuming the average sleep time is 8 hours, then that's a little more than typical waking hours

#wheucto #wheucto speaks #binging the entirety of BFDI in one sitting (from BFDI 1a to TPOT 6) is. possible. but barely #unless you like. stay up a long time_ later on this is just. going to be impossible #that is if you want to stay healthy sleep schedule-wise #and so far we only have 6 TPOT episodes. considering we have 35 (i think) contestants_ 2 contestants eliminated #if that stays true until. uhhhh. let's say an avg of 3 members per team for merge (or first merge)#3 * 6 = 18 #that's almost half of 35. so it would take 17 or 18 episodes to get there if. i'm right which is unlikely #now if 1 contestant is eliminated after 1st merge that would take 15 for final three 16 for final two #if the same stays true (until final four/two) then it'd be 7ish for final four/three or 8 for final two #17 + 7 + 1 for the smallest estimate. that's 25.#each episode is about 25 minutes (assuming trends stay the same) so it'd be 625 minutes more (or 10 hours 25 minutes)#that is_ assuming that 1. tpot doesn't get canceled 2. 1st merge will happen when teams have 3 contestants avg #we'll need to wait about... 3 to 5 years (if the show gets completed) to see how many episodes (and how long they are) there'll be #(since assuming each episode comes in a month + half times that by 25 for a little over 3 years as the lower estimate and 5 as just. a vibe #- based guess)#if 625 mins is correct then it'd be over 26 hours long also known as more than a day. so. binge-watching all of bfdi is probably impossible #- when it all gets completed (assuming there isnt ANOTHER season after tpot. and who knows?)

The final season of The Flash has been so disappointing...

There have been some small moments, I’ll admit that. It was great to see Oliver in tonight’s episode, a great callback to the origin of the Arrowverse! But aside from that, season nine has been so...ick?...bleh...UGH!

It feels like the writers were just phoning it in and didn’t care anymore about how the show--and ultimately the Arrowverse--ended and I think it’s a true disservice to the fans.

Characters we love are being written off or killed off, and then forgotten about. Caitlin died off-screen and no one grieved her. Joe left town but they didn’t want to write off Cecille, so they have a weird arrangement for a couple raising a little girl.

Little to no effort to acknowledge characters from previous seasons like Cisco. No one ever talks about him even though he and Barry were so close. Why the hell wouldn’t he be at their baby shower or Barry’s 30th birthday?!

Introducing characters that we won’t even have time to get to know or care about like Khione.

The Red Death storyline was terrible with bad writing and bad acting.

Random villains we barely remember keep showing up. Seriously I have look them up because this show was never really good with “Previously On...” recaps

A ridiculous “will they/won’t they/who cares” between Chester and Allegra

Cameos from side characters from the Arrowverse, instead of committing to bring in the bigger characters. Like bringing in Nia but not Kara. And Diggle has been dropping in on all the shows as if they’re teasing a spin-off or something. Was he going to be the Green Lantern at some point? WTF?

Finally...Failure to follow through on the Hall of Justice. seriously...if this is the end of the official Arrowverse, they should’ve used this opportunity to tie things up. “Superman & Lois” is doing well but they haven’t relied heavily on the Arrowverse tie-ins. “Legends of Tomorrow” was canceled with a freaking cliffhanger. Honestly...”Stargirl” seemed like it was taking place on another Earth but it did a better job of honoring the Justice Society of America in their last episode, than Arrowverse was with the Hall of Justice.

UGH! I’m just so frustrated! I’ve never been so disappointed in a show I’ve followed and loved from the beginning. It almost makes me feel like I wasted my time watching and loving this show....all for the network and writers to put out a final season that shows they have no idea how it was supposed to end and now it just needs to be put out of it’s misery.

the thing about twd fic dying off around s6/s7 is that plot lines and characters beyond that are barely incorporated and included so now we're forever stuck reading about fucking negan being the biggest baddest killer to ever walk the earth and the whisperers and reapers and governors are left in the dust. for once i just wanna read about negan being the Alexandria Outcast: Hated By Most, Needed By Some, and let alpha or the fucking commonwealth be the monster at the end of the story. please

i love getting into things when they're about to end it's perfect. least amount of waiting for new stuff until completion but also getting to join in on the excitement of finales as they come it's great

I'm gonna be honest, while I did ship Azi and Crowley in a fanon way I didn't actually want them to become a romantic couple, I was clinging onto that aroace platonic relationship with my nails and teeth for the entirety of season 2, but the drama loving bitch in me watched the entire finale with my mouth hanging wide open even after the credits rolled.

Me and my friend were both screaming "No no no no no!!!" when Ineffable bureaucracy was becoming canon, cause neither of us liked that ship (and we thought it was kinda too fast and out of nowhere), and then everything that happened after - we were just holding onto everything we could, barely breathing, praying that it won't actually happen and then THAT happened and we went CRAZY, cause neither of us actually EXPECTED that and then that followed and we were just flabbergasted completely but also we LOVED that it went BAD because we're EVIL

And now I feel like someone Caesar'd me in my own house

just started rewatching ugly betty bc i had read some v excellent betty/daniel fic i thought recently but i guess it was a couple years ago lol, i just couldn’t follow everything, because i didn’t remember all the characters/plots that well ANYWAY from what i remember idt i really thought of betty/daniel romantically until the end of the series, i remember liking her with henry before he became a shit (at least i’m pretty sure that’s what happened, i haven’t watched since this show since it ended 13 years ago) but other than that there’s not TOO much that sticks with me, i just know i loved the ending but ofc was left wanting more at the time but ya while i think i was reading fic on ff.net in 2010 there were only a few things i would’ve been searching for at that point SO once i get through the series i’m gonna have so much fun bc i read 3 fics from that author and they’ve published like 12 more stories this year and i’m gonna be able to understand them so much better, but yeah just now rewatching the pilot i’m like oh my god how did i not immediately love them i mean obviously daniel was a dick but he apologized and at the end of the ep he’s watching her fondly and i’m just ahhhh over them already bc i know the romantic aspect aside there’s such excellent growth in them and their relationship and i can’t wait to watch it play out

#ik there will be the storylines i DON'T love and ofc rebecca romijn playing a trans woman #and i'm sure loads of transphobia in her storyline itself #but yeah like i remember the characters fondly and everything but so much is of course gone from my head #also obvs it at least got a proper finale which is something but i wonder if it would've gone longer if not for the writers strike #i need to add all the things i watched in that period of time to my watchlist bc there's a lot i loved #and some i drifted away from bc that was in the time where like you had to watch it live #and were lucky to catch the episode repeating later #so like i stopped watching bones and heroes and supernatural (actually not sure i got past season 1 of supernatural at the time #though...i should not have been watching that at 10 probably lol and ofc i later watched it through in college then stopped again #so. i still have to actually finish that eventually)#and then pushing daisies i THINK i watched all of #but i remember they had like the last few episodes air after ages and ages or something and i'm not sure i got to watch them #once it got to like 2009/2010 i was able to watch stuff online though all i remember is starting glee from the beginning a little bit late #maybe still in season 1 just the first episodes idk but it was only 72 minutes at a time and it was the WOOOORST #love having everything at my fingertips now lol for the most part anyway #but yeah other than like one tree hill and gg and charmed most things from the mid-2000s i have not watched since then so #i gotta think of what else there is bc much as i love it i do not actually need to rewatch gg every year

Observing the fandoms of shows I watch that have lots of fans that skew younger makes me kind of marvel at how different things are in online fandom even just 10 years after I was their age.

Like, I know I probably sounded like I was losing my mind every 5 seconds in posts I made as a teenager, but some things I see nowadays are actually concerning. I see people taking things waaaayyyyyy too seriously. It’s a TV show. It’s not obligated to go in the direction you want it to. It’s not the end of the world when it doesn’t. It’s not even the end of the TV show yet. Who’s to say it won’t go in that direction eventually, or even do something completely different that you’ll like even more than what you initially wanted? And outside the bubble of those younger fans on tumblr and twitter, no one really cares about the same issues that are being blown out of proportion here.

#no spoilers but i'll tag just in case #st spoilers #stranger things spoilers #specifically this is about stranger things and umbrella academy but i also saw it in the julie and the phantoms fandom too #but i'm seeing people act like a certain ship not becoming canon is the end of everything #am i the only one who had the sense to realize that realistically it probably wouldn't be canon and at least not right now if ever #like can we not joke about coming after a teenage actor because they ship the ship that didn't become canon and gave people hope #the actor just wanted to interact with fans. nothing malicious. honestly it's not even misleading.#anyway it's 2am and i watched stranger things this morning and then rewatched episode 8 when my brother watched it #and i'm still like processing the whole season so i can't even allow myself to pay attention to these younger fans #i just see the posts and tweets and i'm like '...nope... really glad i'm not that age right now... not gonna even touch that issue...'#honestly. these kids need glee. that desensitized me from asking for stuff from my shows because then it'd happen #and then it'd blow up in some weird way or just get undone by the end of a season or just be stupid and not what i wanted #only rarely did things i REALLY want to happen happen on glee. the rest of the time i was just along for the ride.#and that's the mindset i have when watching tv shows to this day. so honestly. thank you glee.#quick someone find the gif of soos in gravity falls saying 'this better be exactly like my fanfiction or i will be VERY disappointed.'#also something being hinted at and foreshadowed doesn't make it predictable when it happens. it makes it planned.#i swear. people are getting too used to shock killings or plot twists out of nowhere that they're forgetting what foreshadowing is.#the finale has a 9.6 rating on IMDB right now. a site that is infamous for being incredibly skewed if even half a fandom hates something.#(believe me. doctor who's IMDB ratings are all over the place due to a loud group of Thirteen's haters)#so if even a good chunk of the fandom disliked the finale then the score would be much lower. but it's not.#maybe it will go down a bit as more people watch. but this is not game of thrones. but i see people treating it like it is.#and really only focusing on 2 or 3 maybe 4 specific issues and writing off everything else.#(not trying to swat a hornet's nest or start crazy discourse and my anon is turned off so just don't come at me. i don't care.)
