Get Out (2016) / The Stepford Wives (1975)

Pretend the stepford screenshots don't look ai generated...but I recently rewatched both of these movies back to back and the similarity between these scenes was so striking. The way both parties are a farce, with the white people in get out only there to gawk at the latest merchandise (chris) and the men's association in stepford only there to gawk at the latest model (joanna). Even the way the camera follows them as they cut through the party and go upstairs is similar, so we can see how the guests immediately drop all pretenses, their focus only on the newest fly in their web.
