I am a Your boyfriend Game fan. I like the characters. However I can't relate to Y/N and I wish the game was more interesting. While playing, it seem the onky options are either "stay with peter" or "peter will kill you and everyone close to you". The visual novel in my opinion could be so much better.

Here me out. In the game, it's canon Peter's therapist is making his condition worst. And it's canon that if the player wanted him to change therapist he wouldn't hesitate. I think making Peter have little resistance towards changing therapist is a miss opportunity for the game.

If the player truly want to have a romantic relationship with Peter. The therapist could be antagonist. Y/N like Peter and their relationship seems to go good. Until one day, Peter become a little too obsessive and shout at Y/N for having a conversation with TK. Y/N calms Peter down. Y/N ask him what wrong and this is when Peter reveals that he going to a therapist. The therapist suggest to Peter that if he isn't "careful" someone will take Y/N from him. Y/N feels that something wrong with Peter's therapist. Y/N suggest Peter should find a new therapist but Peter hesitate.

Knowing about Peter history a little bit, he probably went through several therapist before he meet his recent therapist. This therapist is the only one that didn't try to make hi. take medicine or make him think he is crazy. He can talk for hours about Y/N and the therapist would listen to him. The therapist encourages hi. to be "himself". This therapist made Peter feel safe and comfortable. Peter likes this therapist. This therapist have made a emotional bond to Peter. Probably became a parental figure to him as well.

The therapist on the other hand is sadistic and is manipulator. The therapist wants Peter to do horrible things to Y/N and to others. The therapist love having control over Peter. And the therapist can possibly make Peter into a monster. The therapist would become the main obstacles for the Y/N to have a true happy ending with Peter. Y/N try finding ways for Peter to see how horrible his therapist is. Maybe Y/N find evidence that make the therapist goes to jail. But while Y/N trys to defeat the therapist. The therapist is manipulating Peter or other characters to stop Y/N.

Oooh. I love this! I do like when someone doesn't treat Peter as a heartless mf. I still believe that Tumblr Peter's blog is the original one (Don't really like the game version,im sorry- ajudswbwk)

The first thing peter would think about the kid is how they end up here. His house is pretty isolated and surrended by trees. Whoever abandoned this baby in here,somehow they know someone live in this house and that kinda freak out Peter.

(in case he kidnap you,if not,then he just questioned who the fuck is so heartless to leave this baby here)

It depends all on the Y/n. After all,peter want them to feel comfortable in their house (kidnap or not) so if they are not ready to take care of a kid, peter will still help this poor kiddo to find an house. He is not heartless.

But if Y/n do want that baby (whatever is the reason),then Peter will welcome it in their little family. Just like how he wanted. Just him,Y/n, his snake and their new kid. His dream come true.

Peter would start preparing himself to take care of the kids (mostly economically cuz pretty sure he studied how to take care of them beforehand.) So,All Y/n need to do is spending time with the baby while Peter search ways to balance the money and not going bankrupt out of pure excitement.

Thank to the baby arriving in this household,Y/n can finally have freedom to go out; going to the park,seeing people again and hopefully their friends... with peter's approval.

He is absolutely good at taking care of the little rascal and how to entertain them and managing the current baby's need. Of course its doesn't mean Y/n doesn't do anything,y/n can join at anytime and help peter (he defs need it even if he say no).

Peter won't do the same errors his mother did,he would be very attentive and absolutely sweetheart with your kid,treating them the same amount of love as y/n.

The only thing that probably not a good idea is the kid having the snake. They probably think its a toy and it would give peter an heart attack. He know the snake won't hurt them but the other way around.

Even if the baby don't mean it,he would lecture them and teach them how to treat the pet properly.

Overall,im pretty sure Peter is a very active father and totally sweet toward the kid. (Wish i had that)

And Y/n is really lucky cuz now they can finally go out without the need to beg or medical conditions. Y/n love peter but sometimes they can be a little too much.

I'm going to be talking about a game today.

For now, we won't be talking about the things happening with the creator. Only the game. I've been wanting to talk about this game for a while, but haven't had the guts to due to the creator and the horrible things she and her husband have done.

Today I'm going to be talking about the game Your Boyfriend. Yup. T h a t o n e

Like I said, for this post we will only talk about the game. Nothing on the creators because I don't believe it is my place. If you want to know about it, I suggest this video

Again, we will ONLY be talking about the game.

So, trigger warnings: obsessive love disorder, ranting, you boyfriend game, murder, etc.

So without further adue, let us proceed.

So if you don't know what YBG is, YBG is a visual novel horror game about a man who is obsessed romantically and sexually with you the player.

The man will be referred to as Peter seeing how that's his name- anyway.

First, let me say I've only seen up to day 2- or whatever day He kidnaps you. Yeah he does that. So my summary might not be accurate

So the game begins with you being at the park, your favorite spot. Here you meet Peter who claims to be your boyfriend. You can either go with it, or not. Your choice.

I haven't seen a playthrough in a while, so this is rusty. You later go to a flower store and meet him again, reaching for the same rose you are. He's like 'oh sorry' and you can react negatively or positively. Reacting negatively will make him hold the rose super right he bleeds.

Anyway the day ends with him at your window. Spooky/sarc.

Already right off the this sucks. But we ain't done we have day two.

In day two you go to your job, and you meet TK, your fellow employee, and someone who has romantic feeling for you.

During your job you see Peter again. Again being able to react negatively or positively, each ending in a different reaction. If you act positively, he'll walk you home, in which Dom..? I think, your landlord says your roommate hasn't been paying their share and might need to be kicked out. Peter offers to live with you with sexual intentions. If you agree your roommate will appear and be pissy.

Now if you react negatively, go finish your shift and go home, your roommate, Lucy is her name, noticing you look distraught. You two get high or drink, I don't remember, and I think y'all end up fucking.

Now here is where the next part comes into play, where you have a horrible headache or smt and leave your room to find pills. You see a figure in front of you, and you think it's Lucy and they are offering pills. Before you can react, they are shoved into your mouth and your mouth is covered and you hear Peter say something so forgettable that I don't care.

Nice. This game STINKS.

Not only does it romanticize a person with obsessive love disorder, it's just not scary!!! Yes the concept is truly horrifying, seeing how it's something that has, and does happen!! But this game treats it like us haha silly. And it's like. FUCK NO.

This game HAD potential.

Let's also talk about the style of the game- the visual novel style.

This style is only good for horror Under VERY specific circumstances. It needs to be done right, and holy hell does this game not do it right. It's terrible. The game just tells you the thing to fear outright or shows you completely. There isn't any FEAR here. It's not SCARY. Orginally when I first learned of the game, I was pretty young, but I still had my obsession with psychology, so I thought this game was going to be a psychological horror, and show the fear behind this concept.

BUT NO.

IT JUST THROWS JT AWAY GOD DAMNIT!!! INTO THE BIN!!!

And I HATE how this game claims to be mature for more than the sex themes!! Fuck, bendy and the ink machine, a mascot horror game for 13 plus is scarier than this shit.

Anyway I hate this game <3
