i know its cliche to say but lup adventurezone really is the character of all time like. she's an elf, she's a wizard, she's dead, she's a ghost, she's a bounty hunter for the raven queen. her spirit lived in a magic-eating umbrella for a nebulous number of years. she's an astrophysicist. carbo-loading breakfast then blowing up an abandoned dmv was her best day ever. she has a twin brother who's memory was wiped of her existence. she's in love with a white guy named barry bluejeans. she planned a heist on a casino to get back at someone who owed her fifteen dollars. after being released back into the world the first thing she did was dunk on her brother's love life. she speaks mongoose. and she's trans. do you get it.

I've been losing my mind the past couple of days over The Eleventh Hour gn in general but especially over the cup going through THB's pasts because like

Here's Merle's past and it's clear and comprehensive and the Voidfish static appears only in the middle of his memories when he must have been on the Starblaster

And then there's Taako's

And the static is bleeding into all his earlier memories because Lup was always there until she wasn't. And that's when his memories become clear because you can't erase what was never there

The awareness of absence but the unknown of what it could be. The feeling of loneliness that feels like it hurts more than it should, but why would it?

Taako knows loneliness, Taako has been alone from his very first concrete memory, but within that loneliness something is missing, something that is just eluding him.
