PUPPY BOY! AU HEADCANONS PT.1

About this AU: Puppy boy! Au is your normal MHA universe with a slight twist. Men possess dog traits (ears, tails, and sometimes large canines), it's hereditary from father to son. Some reactions like tail wagging and perked ears happen, but they have normal lives like any other (mostly, if they like you enough they can give you an “owner” title.)

Kirishima + Pitbull

• Eijirou is a Pitbull puppy boy, he doesn't have his tail or ears cut like many of his kind, but he does have the eyes an attitude.

• Plenty of people fear him because pitbulls have a bad reputation, but he proves the myth is false by being super kind and loyal! Besides, it's difficult to be scared of him when he welcomes you with such a sweet smile.

• You decided to let him into your life after spending a lot of bonding time with him. It'd be a lie if you said you weren't nervous at first, his pointy teeth were reason enough to be wary. He managed to dissipate any fear, whatsoever, his tail wagging effusively whenever you spoke.

• Like many pitbulls, Kirishima is energetic and loves to exercise, so he constantly drags you to daily jogs and weight-lifting training.

• Did I mention he gives you scary dog privileges? Again, many people associate pitbulls with aggressive behavior, so they think twice before messing with you, specially if he is by your side.

• He is oblivious of his size and weight, and will try to be a lapdog even if his size is not the most practical. “Oh, you are sitting on the couch? Let me just crush you with my weight to cuddle.”

• Not very eager of the idea of being collared like some puppy boys are, but will accept to wear one if you really want him to. Just don't expect him to wear it for long periods.

• It's funny to introduce him with a scary and ominous nickname that contrasts with his kind and gentle personality. “This is my friend Bone crusher planet destroyer” *Kirishima waving his hand happily in the background* “A real menace!”

• Will not hesitate to smother you with PDA if another puppy boy tries to approach you.

“You're home, you're home!” Kirishima said, opening the door for you before you could even finish putting your key in the lock set. You'd only been away for a couple of hours, yet - in Kiri's mind- an eternity had passed. He had missed you so much!

“Hey, buddy, did anyone come while I was gone?” You asked, your hand finding its way to the soft black fur of his ears. It was easy to tell he liked it, specially when his tail wagged so rapidly. “No, no one came - Hey, I smell something on you.” Eijirou pointed out, sniffing your clothes a little. “You were with other men!” He pouted, crossing his arms across his chest.

“Well, it was a party. Of course, there were more people.” You giggled, leaving your bag on the kitchen counter.

Kiri was not having it, his strong arms locking you into a tight embrace. "Now I gotta cuddle you until my scent is there again!" He claimed, throwing you into the couch to cuddle for the rest of the evening. Oh, if only people knew how much of a baby your scary pitbull was!

Dabi + Dobberman

@dabislittlemouse your puppy bites!

• Even if this scary looking dog may seem like some sort of hell hound when your first meet him, he comes from a very selective bloodline after all! His breed would be a Dobberman, with his ears pointy and tail short from being cut at a young age. Also, albino dobbermans have blue eyes! And so you have Touya (white fur) before becoming Dabi (black fur).

• He knows people fears him just by looking at their reactions, and he enjoys it! Dabi wonders, however, why you didn't run away the first time you approached him. He thinks you are very dumb for not being careful around him, but doesn't mind your company at all.

• Hates the idea of an owner but can't help the tail wag whenever you compliment him or do something that he finds exciting. The first time you see that reaction is when you tell him how cool he was!

• Sometimes allows you to see his canines and smirks when he notices how much you like them. Dabi likes to tease by saying "Do you want me to bite you that bad?"

• Dabi IS the definition of scary dog privileges. Looks like he'll bite and WILL bite if someone tries to approach you.

• He also refers to you as "Lady" because, in his eyes, your dynamic with him is similar to the "Lady and the tramp" story... Except the tramp is more of a hurt dog that turned aggressive against everyone except you.

• Won't admit it but enjoys resting his head on your lap whenever you are sitting, this only happens in private though. Bonus points if you caress his hair and ears, you can see the stump of his tail wag!

"Dabi, why are you standing under the rain? You'll get sick!" You worried, watching the man waiting for you outside your workplace. His black spiky hair had turned slick and damp, but his ears remained perked up with attentiveness as he watched you step out of the building. "Just making sure you walk home safe, nothing else." He grunted with his hands inside the pockets of his coat. "There were some drunk fucks a few blocks down."

You pulled out your umbrella and shielded him, "Yeah? Will you put them in their place if they misbehave?" He heard you joke, but the dark smirk he had on his face was enough to tell you an answer. "Who says I didn't take care of them already?"

Your mouth gaped for a moment in both worry and amazement, "Well, as long as they still breath."

"Yeah, they do... I think." Dabi snorted, wrapping an arm around your shoulder and flashing you a grin. "Now, let's get you home."

Bakugo + Chihuahua

@shonen-brainrot Your man is a Chihuahua, can't convince me otherwise

• A lot of people think Chihuahuas are evil, crazy and aggressive rats. Most of the time, they'd be wrong, but in Katsuki's case, the stereotype applies... partially. Chihuahuas are very friendly and social under the right circumstances, but if they get too spoiled or babied, they can develop a rather snarky and corrosive personality! So, on one hand, he is very attentive at home and knows when and where to be cooperative; on the other, if you push his buttons, he won't hesitate to bite.

• He has big fluffy ears, always pointing towards the sky. The tail matches, coated in soft cream fur. Hates when people tries to pet him and will get easily annoyed with baby talk; he is supposed to be scary, not some sort of fashion accessory people could coddle!

• Anxious, but not in the "I will have a mental breakdown and cry" type. He is anxious as in, "I feel vulnerable or attacked in this situation and will maul anyone who tries to approach."

• Like many Chihuahuas, he likes to be treated as a "big dog". Stands all strong and stern, plays rough, and will pick up a fight with people twice his size if he somehow thinks he can win (happens often, no one knows how). Definition of delulu tiny dog, and sometimes needs a reality check.

• Won't use a collar! At least not in a visible way. If you end up being his significant other, he will wear a collar but very subtly.

• Doesn't handle extreme temperatures very well, specially considering his quirk. Give this pup a sweater for God's sake!

"Goddammit, stop touching my damn ears!" Bakugo barked, swatting your hand away from him as you giggled. "Sorry, they're just too cute! Look at them twitch when I poke them." You pointed out, earning a growl from the blond. In a swift movement, he pinned you down on the couch, frowning and baring his teeth to you.

"I'm not your pet!" He huffed but the smirk on your face made his eyes widen in realization: he still was wearing the collar you gave him, tucked underneath the shirt of his uniform. "Relax, I won't do it again, ok?" You assured.

With a flustered face Bakugo let go of you, ears dropping with embarrassment. "Shut up, dumbass..." The blond mumbled, hiding his adorned neck with his clothes. "Has anyone seen it?" You asked curious. "Of course not! And I would kill them if they do." Smiling, you giggled. He was such a grumpy puppy!

Jealous little thing! [Heeler mix! Izuku]

We already know Heeler mix! Izuku is way more confident than usual, constantly following his herding instincts and taking the role of leader. Doesn't mean he is not emotional, he is still a whiny baby for you, he is just cocky about it.

Whenever he feels his position as your caretaker/leader is threatened (in the sense that he is a herding breed and often takes care of you like a sheep), he won't doubt to face whoever his competitor is. He'll tell them in the most calm, polite and gentle way to fuck off.

He doesn't exactly says it with those exact words, but it goes somewhat along the lines of "Oh, you trying to take my place? Good luck!" Heeler mix! Izuku also gets touchy with you whenever he is jealous. Expect him pulling you by the waist to keep you close to his body, placing his hand in the back of your neck when his competition talks to you or tugging your shirt to leave certain places.

Heeler mix! Izuku NEVER communicates his jealousy to you, a bit too ashamed about it but also not embarrassed to display it in front of others to let them know you're his.

The first time you start noticed this was a pattern, you were talking to Kirishima. It was a lively chat and, clearly, Kiri was pushing his luck: Why would he put his hand on your shoulder if he didn't want to flirt with you? Izuku joins the conversation with no hesitation, subtly eyeing Kirishima while he places a hand on top of your head and asks you to go fetch something for him.

Kirishima is a little hesitant to approach you if Izuku is around.

Heeler mix! Izuku also is very... horny when he is jealous, but since this isn't NSFW, I won't go into further detail ;)

Low-key slips some items of his intonyour bag or outfit to let people know.

Do I think he publicly calls you sheep? Or wooly? Or lamb? Yes. He uses all sort of intimate, personal and embarrassing nicknames when you're with friends because you're his little lamb, he takes care of you!

You notice the way your friend's eyes change when Izuku is around: knowing, as if their gaze could understand something you didn't. It is confusing to you, your heeler puppyboy is always friendly, why is your friend awkwardly excusing themselves out.

"Ah, they must've been busy! Wanna go to my room later? Brought some ice cream and comics." Izuku says, his warm calloused hand resting firmly on the small of your back.

He shifts his gaze to your friend walking away and smirks.

Husky! Shoto asking for love// MHA Puppyboy! AU

We've talked about Husky! Shoto and how he is an odd dog. Trust me, he's trying his best to learn from you but, despite his efforts, he still has troubles. It's given that Shoto doesn't really know how to communicate, so he often requires the use of... whatever he does. He looks at you with a gaze you often have to decipher in order to get his message. Is he hungry? Bored? Angry? Maybe he wants to go for a walk, or perhaps he just wants attention?

Shoto buries his eyes deep into your soul as if it could help him tell you, and he is thankful that you ask if he needs something whenever he does because then all he has to do is nod or shake his head. Low-key he is starting to build a non-verbal language with you, but he wishes it would be easier sometimes.

The kind of puppy that tries to imitate what others do, especially if that works for others. He looks at Bakugo and his "aggressive" attention tantrums and tries to pick a fight with others to catch your eye. You, of course, scold him: "Don't you know that guy is 10 times your size? You could've gotten hurt!" He also pays attention to how Izuku whines and cries when he craves affection, and he tries to be as needy as the greenette but uh... "What? What is it? Are you sick? Do you feel sick? Should I call the nurse?" You tend to misunderstand his tactic with sickness.

Puppyboy! Shoto figures he better just stick to his own way of asking for attention. The kind where he stands in front of your room's door even if you're not in there, waiting for you to come out and ask "How long have you been there?"

He learns that you give him affection whenever he is himself, even if others (and sometimes you) find it odd. Puppy! Shoto grabs your hand and puts him on top of his head, or just outright rests his head on your shoulder. Frequently, he also howls (like the fucking husky he is) to call for you.

Todoroki's favorite thing to do when he needs affection in public is standing super close to you, almost like a shadow that follows everywhere, until you eventually give him kisses and pats.

If he can't sleep, he just sneaks into your room and stares at you until his gaze wakes you up. If you don't wake up, he'll just sleep in the floor by your side. Sometimes you find dog hair everywhere.

"Shoto, what are you doing?" You ask, watching as your husky pulls out a shopping bag from underneath his bed. "I bought this" He answers, showing you an oversized shirt with the words "Get along t-shirt" on it.

"You want us to wear it?" He hears you say, his furry ears perking up. Shoto nods, sliding into the shirt.

"We can be together all the time then."

Angry Puppyboy! Bakugo DOES require a lot of attention. Hug that boy, suffocate him between your arms, kiss his head... *slams table* TELL HIM HE'S A GOOD BOY!!

Puppyboy! Bakugo is very territorial with you as we've established before, so yeah, him being angry at other puppies is nothing new under the sun. He just sometimes feels like others are trying to take his spot, you know? Luckily his friends know that he means no real harm.

Whenever he has a tantrum, he is quick to search for you. You embrace him, face buried in your chest, and he breathes deeply until he feels like he's calmed down. The world doesn't exist to him at that moment, so of course, reality washes over him like cold water when he hears Kaminari or Kirishima giggling at him.

He looks at them with murderous intent but your hand rubbing the side of his head is enough to make him focus on you again. Bakugo drags you to his room to (awkwardly) ask you to continue without people looking.

After a while, he falls asleep in your arms and drools all over you.

"Hey, Bakugo!" Kaminari teases, pinching the blond's cheeks slightly to tease him. "Who's a good boy?" Katsuki hears his friend say, knowing that's what you call him during the brief moments of privacy with you. "Do you want to die?" Bakugo asks with a growl, raising his hand to yank him by his clothes.

"Nah, I pass. But you know, I think you're always picking fights because you like the attention you receive from... Hehehe".

Bakugo's ears perked and dropped with embarrassment.

"Fuck you..."

Izuku +Australian shepherd/Heeler

Izuku is already energetic as he is. If he were an Australian shepherd/heeler puppy, he'd probably push his limits even more. He has the zoomies.

Big pointy ears that move and locate your voice in seconds and a tail so powerful it sometimes hurts when he wags it too close to you. His fur is brown with some black spots, very soft to the touch too.

This breeds are leaders by nature, specially because they were designed to handle cattle, so I like to think he would've stood up for himself more against Bakugo's attitude. Heelers and shepherds alike are also very friendly so, yes, it would still match his personality.

Team leader, even if he doesn't mean to. This is a trait these breeds particularly share with Izuku, and we can see it during team-up missions: he coordinates others, is a great teammate, and steps up to help others. Just like heelers, they don't leave anyone behind.

Smart, smart, smart! Izuku is already very perceptive and sharp-minded, but these particular breeds require a lot of stimulus to avoid going feral/naughty. Get him a Rubik's cube, coloring books, video games... if you don't burn that energy he'll be the sassiest puppy out there.

Forget any trace of shyness, Shepherd! Izuku is going to make it loud and clear that you belong to him (even if you're not dating). He'll place his arm around your shoulders, push you around a little, call you sweet things like it's nothing...

Oh, you are sitting on the common area? Sitting on that couch alone? You don't mind that he cuddles against you, do you? You don't mind his big fluffy ears tickling your nose and his tail wagging full force, right?

Panty stealer

"Izuku, you're going too fast-" you yelp, trying to keep up with the puppy boy pulling on your arm. A new comic shop had opened and he wanted to go with you to check it out. His tail wags in excitement, following the sound of people conglomerating around the little store. "But we'll have to wait to pay and- I wanna be the first one there and buy you something good!"

You smile, not minding his excess of energy anymore. "Silly puppy..."

Not the Bakugou having plushie of his owner 👀 but in the same time no one can touch it. He will bite someone for real or fight with another hybrid

That doll is Baku's drug.

Forget the dog whisperer, you are the greatest thing out there for puppy boys. They just seem to gravitate towards you like- well, dogs to a mail man. So, of course, Bakugo's plushie is a secret that can't be kept for long.

He keeps it in the closet of his room, tucked between his black shirts and grey sweatpants. It's a very cute and detailed dolled, he has to admit: the eye color, the hair type, the clothes... Bakugo feels his cheeks burn every time he feels the need to hug it tight, close to his chest and cuddle it to sleep. Who knows? Maybe he dreams it's really you.

Katsuki is also very sensitive and territorial with that plushie. No matter if it's a close friend of his who finds it, he'll bark. He's snatching that doll from whoever has taken it and will kick them out the room to make sure it's OK.

The first time it happens is with no other than Kirishima, specifically during a tutoring session. The redhead has his face buried in a book when a he found the doll- misplaced, of course -underneath the bed. He grew curious, of course, basking on the fact that Bakugo had something like that laying around. It was adorable! He wanted to have some time with your dolly version too. Katsuki however ended up swatting his hands away and rushing to hide it once more.

Kirishima could see the faint trace of red in Bakugo's face, but any time he'd try to bring it up, the blond would just bare his teeth and shut him up. Still, Kiri sometimes catches a glimpse of the doll whenever he is in his room.

He DID have a physical match with certain mutt (Mineta) that somehow managed to get his hands on the plushie. Who knows why he has a bite on the ear-

Kaminari is another puppy that found about it. The doggy has a thing for teasing Bakugo too (and his feelings for you are also a thing), so obviously he had to have a try with that doll. Bakugo almost beat the crap out of him, luckily Mina was around.

No one touches that doll anymore unless they have a death wish (or its you).

"Give it back, fuck!" Bakugo yelled, trying to snatch his plushie from Kirishima's hands. He and Kaminari just wanted to look at it again, and the blond wasn't one to share. "Relax, Bakubro-" Kiri laughs, holding him back a little. "Yeah! We just wanna hold it, nothing bad will-"

"What's all this ruckus?!" You interupt the scene, leaving the boys in shock. The doll ends up in your hands, and you simply give them a side eye to leave in silence.

1) Iida as a Border Collie. They're intelligent and diligent dogs and I think it's perfect for him

2) Denki as a Pomeranian. The fluffliest ball of fur ever.

MHA Puppyboy! AU Part 3(?

Iida + Border Collie

Border Collies are very fancy dogs that love to follow instructions. They are smart, intelligent, and capable but they also have energy and are willing to protect. Iida is all about following rules and being a very smart student (he's the class rep after all), but he's proven to be fierce when the moment requires it. Border Collies are also (normally) pure blood dogs, which fits Tenya a lot since he comes from a well known family.

He has fluffy ears and tail, the color is a deep black with some white specks around the edges. Did I mention this breed loves to run? They are very good athletes, just like Tenya. He's just the kind of puppy that pulls on his leash if you don't move fast enough.

Talking about leashes and collars, Iida is OK with them. He won't use them during school or work because it's against the dress code, but he'll more than indulge if you wan to collar him up! Iida is very serious about it, so if you want him, you'll have him for life.

Loves, loves, loves praise. In a normal amount... Tell him he did a good job, that he is the best, and that he is a great example to others; his tail won't stop wagging for hours, and he takes your words with such pride!

Sheds, a lot. He tries to keep his fur clean and brushed but he just has too much fur. You WILL find some random dog hair in your stuff.

Can get a little controlling of you, after all the breed is made to guide and handle sheep, so you'll find out he tends to place his hand on the back of your neck or on the lower back to guide you around. A collie for 1A's sheep, what a puppy he is!

May or may not have a tiny doll of you he tucks in his bed when he misses you.

Your face gets warm when you feel Iida's hand unconsciously slide to the back of your neck, his roughed-up fingers grazing that tender skin of yours. It sends shivers down your spine, and Tenya notices it because you've suddenly stopped walking. "Is something the matter? Are you feeling OK?" Your eyes finds his and nod, "Yeah! I just remembered something," you utter, trying to suppress the smile that threats to form on your lips. He tilts his head in and oh so adorable way, worrying something bad had happened, furry ears flopping with worry. "What did you remember?"

"That you're a Collie." You giggle, pointing out the way he had been guiding you through the mall. He flushes and apologizes, but you tell him it's more than OK.

Kaminari + Pomeranian

Denki is by definition, energy. He is cheeky, he plays pranks, and he's just a cutie. This puppy likes the attention, and Pomeraninas just happen to be just like him. The fluffy fur kind of reminds you of the way Kami's hair gets, specially with the use of his quirk.

Short fuzzy tail and tiny perky ears that stand up from his already flash hair, brown/creamy color. This puppy boy will do anything to catch your eye: jokes, drawings, nicknames. He wants you all to himself, and is not shy about it.

This puppy boy doesn't mind being a couch potato, he'd much rather stay home with you and play videogames or read manga. He won't say no if you want more physical activities like going for a walk or something alike (he wants to be good for you) but Denki enjoys being domesticity more.

He wears a choker already, so collars are a BIG yes from him. Want to add a leash for that? Kaminari will gladly sport it for you. Want to put a name tag too? Hell, he'll be flustered but will feel SO GOOD with it.

Kaminari is a particularly tricky puppy because he has the tendency to be all over your place and use your stuff: hoodies? Shirts? Jewelry? He'll take whatever he can from you, but if you say he can't he'll get sad and moody. Whining and begging you to let him use your things and hang in your room. Capricious with you, that much is true.

"I don't wanna, you're warm," he mutters, nuzzling against you. You can see his tail wagging against the blankets and smile; he opens his groggy eyes and looks up to your still half-asleep face. "No harm if I stay, right?" He says with a smirk, toying with the hem of pajamas. Denki hears you hum with a knowing smile, "Fine, fine... what a needy little puppy you are."

German Shepard could work too considering his mom's personality! Sorry this is very short :')

German Shepard! Bakugo is super controlling, more than he already is. He is pushy on the people around him and frequently ends up getting physical with smaller puppy boys like Deku. Which makes some sense considering how much of a control freak he already is (not like Iida, he's more of a do it my way or perish).

Big brown ears with a fluffy tail that has black/brown fur. He still dislikes the idea of collars (his mom may make him wear one to teach him manners). If you think Pomeraninan! Bakugo was bratty and crass, G. Shepard! Bakugo is ten time worse. He knows he has the size and strength to handle you, and won't hesitate to do it (even if it annoys you... he likes that).

Very protective of you, will not let anyone outside his friends to "try to flirt with you" (even if you are not together). Reluctant about you trying to act like an owner though (nothing new under the sun). He'll just bark some nonsense along the lines of "hand off my property", and when you side eye he just stares at you blankly and barks at ya'.

Like most puppies, he has a thing for compliments, things that "pet" his ego. He hates, hates, hates having to listen to you say something nice about Deku or Kirishima. Tries to be under the spotlight so he catch your eye and then pretend he didnt want that (oh, he did!)

This breed is far more energetic than Pompoms and will drag you to a lot of physical activities.

It was his spot you were sitting in, and it was his snacks you had taken, and it was Deku who was called 'cool' instead of him. "Not until you admit that I'm better than anyone here!" He growls, a slight shade of pink giving away his ulterior motives. Sighing, you just shake your head in defeat. "Fine!" You drag the word, "I guess you're not that bad~".

Oh, you were teasing him? Someone so large being teased by a thing like you? His heart is beating fast, not that he'd admit that.
