In my head I like to imagine Thomas and Martha Wayne are a lot like Nick and Nora Charles
If you’ve never watched the Thin Man movies
A) you’re missing out
B) they’re a series of detective movies made in the 30’s featuring hard drinking and oh so charming wealthy socialite couple Nick and Nora Charles solving crimes, drinking, and being in love
Just the wealthy socialite, charming and terribly clever couple sticking their noses into things and doing it all 4 martinis in

Nick Charles : "Have you made any New Year's resolutions?"
Nora Charles : "Not yet. Any complaints or suggestions?"
Nick Charles : "A few."
Nora Charles : "Which?"
Nick Charles : "Complaints."
Nora Charles : "All right, shoot."
Nick Charles : "Well, you don't scold, you don't nag, and you look far too pretty in the mornings."
Nora Charles : "All right, I'll remember: must scold, must nag, mustn't be too pretty in the mornings." -- AFTER THE THIN MAN (1936 film)

The Thin Mannequin
An AI-penned remake of the 1934 comedy mystery based on the Dashiell Hammett novel. The whole thing is filmed with Nick and Nora mannequins and subtitles.

I feel like the scene in The Thin Man when Nick is trying to get into bed and he has the blankets all crooked and Nora goes over to help him and she’s says “You’re worse than an infant” is constantly me when I try to get under my covers to go to sleep. Who knew a scene in an 87 year old movie could be so relatable.

Fandom: The Thin Man series of movies (aka the Nick and Nora movies), with a bit of additional footage from a few other William Powell/Myrna Loy flicks, namely Double Wedding, I Love You Again, Libeled Lady, and Love Crazy. Song: "Two Sleepy People," originally by Hoagy Carmichael, performed here by Seth McFarlane and Norah Jones Summary: Here we are, out of cigarettes Holding hands and yawning, look how late it gets Two sleepy people, by dawn's early light And too much in love to say goodnight.
(Or, as my most excellent beta spatz, to whom I owe many thanks, said, "THEIR SWEET SAPPY FACES OMG.")

Its 2AM, I just got home from work and now I’m drinking whiskey and watching The Thin Man Goes Home (1944), the only one in the series I haven’t seen. It’s… not the best one (a bit more slapstick and less witty repartee than the series at its peak), but it’s still fun, cos these characters are just so great. These are comfort movies for me—I’ll watch any of them, any time.

I love the Thin Man movies in theory, but for some reason I can't quite put my finger on, Myrna Loy's voice is like nails on a chalkboard to me. I've never been able to sit through any of her movies to the end. Not her fault; just One of Those Things.
If you can ever find it, I highly recommend the TV adaptation with Peter Lawford and Phyllis Kirk.
