Hello!! I hope you are doing well, wanted to say I love your work !!
Can I request how the BSD boys (Dazai, Kunikida, Ranpo, Chuuya, Fukuzawa etc) would react to gf!fem!reader saying “I am just a hole” after they did something attractive? Something fun and suggestive ehehe~
No brain, just horny!
Tumblr media
Summary: No one cared about you being down bad for you bfs since everything's mutual, right? (Dazai, Kunikida, Ranpo, Fukuzawa)
Genre: fluff, maybe crack, def suggestive themes, maybe a tiny tiny bit of smut. Who knows 💀
Warnings: yall gonna be horny after this 🤓
A/N: was kinda difficult to think of fitting scenarios but i had fun writing this!! Also thank you for loving my work, anonnnn 💕💕💕💕
Part 2
Tumblr media
Dazai Osamu
Tumblr media
WHY WOULD YOU SAY THAAAAAAT 💀💀💀💀
HES HORNY 24/7, DONT EXPECT HIM TO HOLD BACK LMAOO 💀💀😭😭
okay okay so lets say yall are at the ADA office
hes done with annoying the shit ouf of kuni and now hes just sitting on the couch, literally bored out of his mind
Kuni tells u to tell "that dumbass idiot of a boyfriend🤩" to finally get back to work so u go up to him
u know that scene where he leans his head back onto the grave and slowly tilts it back down and opens his eyes while having that soft smile on his face? oda's only purpose was him dying so we'd get that scene, crying fr 😭😭😭
Yeah hes doing exactly THAT as he notices your presence infront of him, flashing you a smile and only for it to spread even further as he notices your dazed face 💀
"Oh, bella? Too lovestruck to talk to me, I see. Can't help it that I'm just so hands-"
"I'm nothing but a hole for you"
I DONT KNOW HOW SOMEONE COULD EVEN SAY THAT 😭😭 THATS SUCH A WEIRD THING TO SAY AND SO DUMB BUT NO ONE CARES 🥲🥲🥲
AND HIS HORNY ASS DOESNT GIVE TWO SHITS EITHER 🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️
his eyes are fking bulging as he hears you say that infront of him
ACTUALLY shocked that you had the guts to legit say that outloud and luckily no one rly heard that except him he wouldnt mind if the whole ass office wouldve heard that, we KNOW 💀
you manage to get a good laugh out of him before he just shoots you that god awful handsome smirk before he suddenly stands up
Towering over you, he leans in and whispers "Never thought you'd be so dirty to say stuff like that during working hours. Not that I'm complaining! I'm glad to have such a strong effect on you, bella~" got me blushing fr😳😳😳
Its too late to realise what you've just said. Your fate has been sealed.
OFF TO HORNY JAIL YALL GO 💀💀🗣️
no jk but nah nah he wont stop there
Youve awakened the fking horny beast in him and how could he refuse his love offering herself so blatantly while your coworkers were literally in the same room?? 🤩😋
He just takes your hand as he proceeds to leave the office
Kuni just yells "Oi, where the hell do you think you're going?! Only told you to tell him to work! Not join his stupid shenanigans!! 😡😡"
YOU KNOW that ur bf just turns around and shoots him that annoying ass smirk, only to say
"But Kunikida, we are off to work actually! Nothing you'd be able to do anyway. Tell me when you've found something interesting in all that paper work of yours! Can tell you that our job will definitely be more fun than that~ 😁😁"
You can only give poor kuni a sheepish smile as atsushi just deadpans at the both of you, muttering a "good luck 😐" towards you as your bf just drags you to his car because your job's gonna be too loud to do at the ada and going home wont be an option since dazai's not patient in that sense 💀💀💀
Already sending prayers to you for having to go back to "work" while being sore af and dazai looking like he got out of a 10 day wellness vacation 😭🥲🥲
dazai's actually gonna spare our poor kuni by kinda doing some paper work but our man will be forever traumatised bc hes not oblivious 🗣️
Especially after seeing your neck littered with hickeys 😭😭 u cant hide them, youve got a damn mosquito as a bf 💀
kuni just tosses a bottle of water your way without looking at u bc he thinks its not modest to shamelessly look at them 😤 I LOVE U KUNI
"thanks, i guess" is all you'll hear from him bc at the end, you DID get dazai to work but at what cost 😭
Tumblr media
Kunikida Doppo
Tumblr media
Flabbergasted. Shocked. Disappointed. Shamefully not too hard to turn on. 💀
His first reaction is gonna be like u just told ur mom u forgot to do the laundry 😭
DEF gonna scold your ass off for saying such things in such an inappropiate setting
its not your fault hes being so hot during work 😤😤😤😤
Tell him off for being so handsome!! 🤩
Wont stop his scolding but u cant take him serious when hes fumbling over his words
Still manages to thank you for ur compliment even though its embarassing af 😭 no way would he refuse such kind words from his love 😋
So anyway it could go two ways with him
The first would be if yall wouldnt be alone at the ADA
You go up to him to ask him about a report you need help with
Ive never seen kuni tie his hair up but... imagine catching him doing that...
With the hair tie in his mouth as he pulls his hair back and like...
It makes u think of the times you'd yank it back during yk what 🤭
So he notices you gape at him and is all like "🤨 are you alright?"
Cue to you just uttering "Damn, kuni. You only gotta ask. Am just a hole for you anyway" out of nowhere
LMAO you can just hear dazai cackling from the couch as your bf just looks at you like 😳 with his mouth agape and everything
Dazai just walks up to you to pat your shoulder
"Kunikida, you've got quite the daring girlfriend!" "SHUT YOUR ANNOYING MOUTH UP"
kuni just quickly ties his hair back and BROO he nearly feels so violated and exposed 😭😭😭😭
Why would u do this to him AT WORK 😭
Ngl u and dazai prob team up to annoy him to death like hes just so fun to TEASE 😤
Anyway he just tells you to get back to work and when u tell him you need some help, he begrudgingly does it bc its important but you can still his hands shake a bit and his face is red as he tries to give you advice on ur work skskksks 💀
Be ready to get scolded for HOURS when yall are on ur way home 🤓
But dw u know how to shut his beautiful mouth up 🤭😋
But if you do the whole thing while yall are alone at work bc kuni decided to stay a bit longer then THATS a different story
Lets say he does the same thing again as above ^ and u say the same thing
He'll def turn a bit red and tell you that you cant say stuff like that during work!
"But kuni, we're alone and no ones gonna come back anyway. It's nearly 8pm after all."
The sun's setting and the only light that softly illuminates the room and it just steals ur fking breath bc 😭 hes so gorgeous with his hair open 😭😭😭
But u can still see his gaze on u, making ur knees weak bc BROO
horny jail for kuni too????? 💀💀💀
jk but he'll clear his throat and just say "a work place is still a work place so i cant let this inappropiate behavior just go like that..."
You're like standing infront of him and he grabs you by your waist, softly kneading it as he tells u to sit on his lap 😭
"Will teach that mouth of yours how to behave. Maybe after this you'll be a bit more tame. Think that idiot has been a bad influence on you like he has with everyone but don't worry. I'll be sure to teach you everything again."
I'll let you imagine the rest here 🤭🤭
Tumblr media
Edogawa Ranpo
Tumblr media
man just wants to eat his candy in peace, get ur horny ass away from him 🤨🤨🤨🤨
u thought dazai's a whole bitch???? Nah nah this is a MAN CHILD right here
This man wont give u what u want, nah he'll let u suffer alone LOL 💀💀
if this happens at work then 🤷 honestly depends on what mood he is i think
its a hot day in yokohama and the air conditioning is not rly helping yall
so u kinda wanna go grab some ice cream during ur break and u dont need to think twice about asking ur bf to go with u
fr he'll be SO annoying if u dont take him with u 💀 but dw he obviously knows why u r approaching him rn 🤩
but he takes a while to catch on why u just stopped and looked like a fish rn like a combo of this :0 and 😳
he just goes "🤨"
"Damn, the bathroom's close. 'am just a hole for you anyway so let's go" u legit go 😨 after realising what u just said
How no one hears that, idk but this hoe DEF heard u well
U r even more scared bc he just sits there and doesnt react but oops
only needs some sec before he opens his eyes and smirks at u 🤭
"Eh~ You've got guts, Y/N. Saying naughty stuff like that during work hours. Not that I mind though. Just shows how smitten you are by the World's Greatest Detective~"
"N-"
He just waves a finger at u like you're a lil kid getting scolded rn 💀
"Ah ah ah, don't try to refute that fact. Can't blame you for your reaction after all. It's still funny to me that all it took was me losening my tie, gliding a hand through my hair and open up a button of my shirt. ~ "
He just gets up and gives you a peck on your cheek before walking ahead
"I still want that ice ream though! If it's good then I'll give tending to your needs a thought!" 💀 THIS BITCH
but dw he'll make sure to show u how smitten he is after that bc ur mouth just tastes better after some sweet ice cream, right 🤓??
but u know whats the best combo with saying that sentence?
a jealous ranpo 🤩
like ok quick scenario
lets move this outside of work, ok?
So yall are walking around and some random dude decides to hit on u and hello 🤨cant he see that u r legit holding hands with the world's greatest detective??
u kindly tell the man to fuck off but nah hes not letting u chill
wraps protectively his arm around ur waist, clearly showing him that YOU. ARE. TAKEN.
"with that scrawny lookin dude???" bro hes got a death sentence 💀
time for ur bf to show him his skills 🤭 which means threatening him to expose everything about him
immediately tells him where he lives, what he does for a living, where he likes to shop, where his parents live. E. V. E. R. Y. T. H. I. N. G
he just smirks and puffs his chest slightly out as that dude just fking runs off bc id be terrified too 😨
He deserves it tho ✋
"What a fool! Thinking he could challenge ME?! The greatest detective to ever live! See how terrified he was!" hes fking cackling before stopping as he sees ur face
brothers and sisters, we are LOVESTRUCK
and that hoe cann see that right away 💀
"Thank you..." like should we say how hot that was???? maybe 😳😳???
"And?" AH obviously he got us 😭
but we too embarassed to say smth but NICE, theres a nearby alley so u know where hes dragging us 🤩
Pressed up against the wall and hes just centimeters away from u as he asks again
"That wasn't everything you wanted to say, right~? Of course you find me" hot" but just wanna hear it from you, love."
"FUCK, am just a hole for u" 💀😳
goes wide eyed for a sec before chuckling and saying "Well, that wasn't what I wanted to hear but I'll let it count!"
His eyes travel down your neck before finally saying "Hm, I've got an idea in how to make everyone know that you're taken. I deserve a little treat after having saved you, no?" 🤭🤭🤭 got me blushing fr
Anyway problem solved, no one made moves onto u after that and it might turn into a habit before yall go out for the next times 🗣️
But no one's complaining hihi 🤭🤭😳
Tumblr media
Fukuzawa Yukichi
Tumblr media
oh god where do i even begin 💀
i gotta hold myself back from getting off topic when it comes to HIM 😭
honestly this man has seen and experienced so many things, u gotta do a lot to catch THIS man off guard 💀💀
bro he had to deal with mori's ass in his 20's for too long and STILL deals with it till this day 😐😐😐😐😐
not to mention the agency is like his fking orphanage at this point 😐
Already enough that his first child is still a child with his thirty years of living on this damn planet 🤓
lets say u work at the ADA as well and now yall r holding a meeting to go over some details for a random mission
Idk if its just me but... the way he sits there and is leading that whole shit, telling em what to do and how they could handle it the best way, while encouraging everyone to work hard n stuff... idk....
Its just so HOT 😳😳😳🤭
like hes so charismatic, fuck dazai, yall cant compare ANYONE to this man 😭😭😭😭😭😭 no wonder everyone follows him, id lick his shoes too 😭😭 HORNY JAIL FOR ME?????
anyway he dismisses everyone and the both of you are the last ones to be in the room bc u r just sitting at the table and staring at him like 😳
Dw my girl, hes been noticing the way you've been looking at him the whole time
"Is everything alright, my love? You've been staring at me for quite a while now."
"N-No its nothing 😳"
nah no need to hold back bc we know our knees r gonna buckle the second he takes ur hand
AND HE DOES 🤩🤩
his eyes slightly crinkle at the end as you can see amusement dance in them
"I know that look when something's on your mind. I'll respect your decision to not tell me but I'd like to know what it is."
honestly your red face is already proof enough whats on ur mind but how can u hide it when hes just looking at you with such an intense gaze UGH I LOVE THIS MAAAAAN 😭😭😭😭😭😭
"W-Well the way you just handle everything with ease even though its a lot of pressure and i dont know...it's just really admirable but also hot when you tell them what to do. wouldnt mind you doing that in the bedroom too, you know. id be a hole for u anytime like this... "
u tryna mumble that shit out of embarassement but he clearly heard you 💀
And he does go wide eyed out of surprise because DAMN thats still pretty straightforward and was kinda the last thing he'd thought you'd say but honestly... he doesnt mind it 💀
in facr hes liking it a bit too much for himself 💀💀 but who is he to complain? Especially when his lover is being so honest with him?
" So you want me to be a bit more authoritative in the bedroom? I-It might be a bit awkward for me to do so but if it's something you desire then we'll gladly try it out together. We should be done with the mission around the evening but if not then..."
you feel his hands gently cup your face as he presses his lips against yours before pulling a bit too soon for your liking
"Then I hope this will suffice until then. I'll be sure to thank you for your patience after everything's over."
THE ONLY THIINNGG
THE ONLY THING YOU CAN DO IS SAY YESSSS 🤩🤩😭😭😭😭😭
IDC IF IM NOT SPEAKING FOR EVERYONE BC
We WILL wait for him OKAY 💀💀✋✋✋
he just strokes your hair lovingly as you try to hide ur face bc hes just too blinding
anyway as the both of u get ready to leave, yall just hear quick shuffling behind yall bc OOPS
THE DOOR WAS OPEN 💀
THE KIDS DIDNT LEAVE LOL 💀💀 THEY HEARD EVERYTHING
"😳☺️🤭😏" u can choose which ADA member would make which face 💀💀💀
ngl u prob sometimes call them ur children and BRO
ranpo actually annoys u for some candy ngl 💀
u once punched dazai's gut bc yk he'd ask the stupid question like
"if you're our mom, would that make you a milf?"
send him back to the MAFIA trash can he came from 🤩🤩
jk but might write a oneshot about him even tho hes difficult to write 💀
Tumblr media
will def do a part 2 of this bc it gives me an excuse to simp for these men 💀

We all agree that the last chapter of one piece was crazy as fuck, right?
I've been hoping Vivi would come back since I first saw her leave. I'm so ready for her to come back and finish the crew!
Just imagine how it would be reuniting with the old crew, and meeting new people.
I want her and Nico Robin to be best friends. I want to see more Nami x Vivi lesbian activity. I want to see Franky being about how cool the sunny is. Of course the brook panty joke will happen (ugh). But jimbe and Vivi will probably get along real well being the two most level headed rational people on the ship.
I just can't believe Oda heard my prayers.

Witch of Penchant
Prologue: Part 2/4
Shingen x MC (Mai)
Previous
Logline - A women in nuns clothes, with an unsettling resemblance to a fox, the witch of Honno-ji, has traveled back in time to an era she has already lived through. She accidentally saved the life of Nobunaga Oda, but now she wonders how else the past has changed.
2330 words
A tall (Big, Giant, full head Taller than the one she held hands with) man in a brown haori and dull red kimono, with a massive sword bound in red, looked to them, “What’s this Yuki? We’ve been here ten minutes and you’ve already found yourself a woman?” He grinned as he approached ‘Yuki’ at the edge of the unforested path.
“Don’t tease me, Shingen-sama. She was about to dive off the cliff.” ‘Yuki’ responded, pushing Mai into the clearing.
Mai stumbled, “I knew where I was going much better than you bumbling fool.“
“Yeah? At night in the woods, you mean? What for?” ‘Yuki’ asked.
Mai sighed, “I was looking for a shortcut to my happy place…” (my cave, I just want to be in my cave!)
‘Shingen’ looked at her, “Hmm… Smoke from Honno-ji and a woman all alone at night. Perhaps you’re a ghost? Though you’re the most beautiful ghost I’ve ever seen.”
“Thanks,” Mai pulled a vine from her leg, ”A ghost would be an accurate description for me.”
A flash of white appeared then quickly vanished from view. The shrubbery rustled as animals made their way to safety from the smoke muddying the air. If one listened closely, some creature wasn’t fleeing, but circling the clearing, the sound then suddenly plummeted into the forest. Mai Scanned the edge of the clearing where the sound disappeared.
There! A path! Darting out from between the tents, she rushed to the footpath.
“Mizusaki-san! Mizusa—–-” Toyotomi-san and Akechi-san called after her. Walking along the path until the camp fell from view, and the noise of bustling soldiers faded, Mai searched for the white flash of fur (Searched—searched is the wrong word;) once certain of her solitude, Mai stood in the path, waiting. A fox appeared. White, with a striking grey mask, and a black cowl. The fox stood on its hind legs, it was unusually large, coming up to Mai’s chest.
It held out a torch to the witch, “You and the rift are safe, I assume?”
“Yes? Why do you have a torch?” Mai grabbed the torch.
“Have you seen the fire?”
“I was in the fire.” Mai held the
“How unfortunate for you.”
“Bearsace, What did you do?” Mai gestured back at the temple to her fox familiar.
Bearsace sneered at the witch, “There was an army surrounding the temple, they were coming for people in the temple. What's more urgent, a fire or a girl with her fox?”
“Fine, fine. Head to the cave.” Mai said, continuing to walk along the path. “I will catch up to you later, I am going to search the area.”
“So brave of you. When you get to the cave, we will have to hide until the army departs.” Bearsace said before once again fading into the wood.
Just then, the soft chiming of bells and dry leaves being crushed under someone’s foot could be heard.
“Ojou-san, what are you doing in the woods this late at night?” said a weathered looking man with a chiseled looking face, smiling as he walked towards the woman—a fact made more intimidating by the scar slashing across his face. Was he a Buddhist monk from Honno-ji? The man in yellow and purple robes did not bring to mind any monks Mai knew from Honno-ji the first time it burned. His shakujo, a prayer staff with rings, shook with every step.
The Monk said, “I am called Kennyo and I am a traveling monk. Perhaps I can be of assistance to you?”
Mai’s attention flitted to him, "A kind offer, but I know these woods quite well.” Rings, RINGS! He fits the silhouette of the man I saw attack Oda-sama. Mai’s eyes narrowed as he took a long stride towards her only to put a hand softly on my shoulder.
Kennyo, squeezing her shoulder, said, “You should return home quickly; demons lurk in the woods at night.” His eyes - they were so strange and I chilled, his smile seemed friendly but cruel.
Mai responded, “No worries, I am going that way,” He smelled of soot. She wrinkled her nose before melting into the brush like she was made for the shadows.
Mai raced through the woods. Her path was as familiar as a fondly remembered dream, but she was as sure footed as she was fast. Quickly the sound of the windy cliff face reached her ears. So close to her second home. So close to the fox, she so recently could only speak in alleyways under the cover of dark. Then…
SLAM! “Watch it!”
Out of nowhere, a man grabbed her by the arm, yanking her backward. “Whoa!” She fell backwards onto the man, sending them both to the ground.
“Ouch!”
“Sorry!” A well built man with a handsome face was lying below like an unhappy cushion. Mai scooted off, kneeling at his side.
The man, dressed in red, looked startled, “Whoa, are you crazy? Don’t move!”
As she stood up, he did too, grabbing her from behind and pulling her against him. Wind came from a great depth and tugged at her hair. The cliff stretched downward as the endless sky overhead sparkled with the stars.
The man in red smiled in relief, “That was close.”
Mai stared into the vast night, stars were so much brighter here and now, she sighed out a “Gratefully, and what are you doing so close to a cliff?” She turned in his arms, the question was blunt as her gaze mere inches from his face.
The man’s face turned almost as red as his haori, “Uh…”
“Um?” Mai said.
The man in red began to reel back, away from the cliff “I don’t need thanks. Just give me some space, would you!”
“Right!,” Mai said, she would have continued to the cliff, but the man caught her arm once more.
“Not that way.” He pleaded with her.
“I’m just giving you some space.”
The man pulled closer to her, stabilizing on a young tree, “Well watch it. that rock is loose. Can’t you see that for yourself?”
Down the cliff is the quickest way to bearsace, Mai scoffed, knowing the route well, even if the path wasn’t clear to mortal eyes. “Look I understand your concern, alright? But I’m perfectly sure footed here.” She kicked the rock, it pinged off the rocks and tumbled down below. She took his hand before pushing through the brush to walk a narrow path between the drop and trees.
“Hey!,” the man let himself be pulled along, “I’m not mad at you, okay?“ He was smiling now, their hands interlocked.
"Good” Mai smirked at the awkward man. He was quite boyish in attitude as they walked together. They came upon a wider stretch of clearing with several people gathered.
The second person in the clearing made themself known, “Your ability to spew cheap pick up lines never ceases to amaze me.”
Shingen laughed, “I just call it like I see it, Uesugi.”
(Shingen and Uesugi. Weren’t they rivals?)
A masked man appeared beside Uesugi, “My lords, I have returned. Oda’s forces have extinguished the fires at Honno-ji.”
He seemed to have come through the surrounding thickets. Strangely his footsteps didn’t make a sound. (Dressed for camouflage and ease of movement with a close fitting layer that won’t rustle. It's been so long since I've been in a world with shinobi.)
“Thank you for your investigation, Sasuke. So, I presume Oda is still alive then?” Uesugi asked.
Sasuke answered solemnly, “Yes.”
(They are not exactly celebrating that fact are they?)
Shingen responded grimly, “He’s got the devil’s luck.”
“Or he’s the devil.” Yuki added.
The group gathered closer, their tones were hush and serious. It was clear that they don’t like Nobunaga, but they do take him seriously. Suddenly, the shinobi looked at Mai.
“You - ”
"Me?“
Uesugi looked over, “Yuki brought her. Do you know this woman?”
Sasuke blinked, no other emotions were readable on his face, “No. I was mistaken. Though I spotted a village on the way here. She must be from there. I’ll escort her home.”
“Moving quick aren’t you, Sasuke-kun?” Shingen moved towards Mai, ”Give the rest of us a chance, will you?”
Sasuke had already started encouraging her towards a break in the thicket, “Takeda-sama, please. You and the others should return to the city.“ Excusing himself, the shinobi took her hand as the two disappeared into the woods.
"Hold on, you’ve got it wrong. I’m not from a village or anywhere near here, I was going to hide in my cave for the time being- ”
Sasuke stopped to lean against a fallen tree, “I know. I’ve been expecting you. Wait, Cave?”
(What does he mean by that?)(What does she mean by that?)
(He’s been expecting me?) “Wait, wait,” He turned, ensuring they were deep enough in the dark woods. The shinobi then lowered his mask, “Do you recognize me now?”
“Uh, oh hey! You’re the med-school student at the Honno-ji monument!” Mai saw the resemblance to the med school student in green with the watch! The cloud burst, the lightning bolt, the shattering stone…  His watch, lab coat, and green shirt were gone, replaced by his shinobi attire.
Sasuke pulled a microfiber cloth from his person, cleaning his glasses absentmindedly, “Post graduate in physics not medicine. But I’m glad you remember me. That makes things easier. “
“I’m so glad I found you” Mai sat beside him, relieved,”…Why are you a shinobi?” Relief–gone.
“It’s easiest if I start from the beginning.” Sasuke put his glasses on, “I go by Sasuke Sarutobi and just like you I come from the present, or the future, rather.”
Sasuke slowly began to explain what had happened since the encounter at the stone monument.
“So your explanation,” Mai stumbled through the complicated physics, “is that lightning strikes cause spacetime to warp around us and sent us into the past?” It was… close to the rifts reality.
Sasuke responded, “Yes, that is a very simplified and condensed version of my theory. We entered the wormhole at the same time. However, I arrived four years prior to you. In that time I’ve learned that this Sengoku period, Japan’s civil war is different than the one we’re familiar with.”
Mai carefully listened to Sarutobi-san’s explanation. According to him—just like what had happened to Nobunaga and Mai, Sarutobi-san had arrived at the date of Uesugi Kenshin’s historical death. But Sarutobi-san’s quick thinking and knowledge of modern medicine had ensured Uesugi-sama’s survival.
Now he—like Oda-sama—was alive but they weren’t the only ones. Takeda Shingen (the tall flirt) on the cliffs was supposed to have died by this time too. In this strange place and time, he too was alive when he shouldn’t be.
What would Mai tell Bearsace, that she hadn’t protected the rift? That she might not be the witch he knew a day ago? Where was her present (past self)? “I can’t believe it. What am I going to do? What’s happening next?”
Sasuke didn’t seem to react to Mai panicking other than stroking her back, “To a degree. We’re in an alternate Sengoku period, not the one we know from school. Because of fluctuations in spacetime we’re in a divergent time - one in which history will take a different course.”
Mai slumped further. (He knows about the rifts, he knows about the rifts, he knows about the rifts, he knows far too much about the rifts!!!!!)
Sasuke continued, “I major in theoretical astrophysics at Kyoto University, specializing in wormholes and their potential for time travel. I’d conceived of a method for predicting the conditions for and patterns by which traversable wormholes manifested. That’s why I was at the stone monument that day. To verify my method.”
Sasuke had a smile in his voice, “I’ve been looking for you here, expecting you must have traveled back in time as I did. I hadn’t conceived of the possibility that you would arrive four years later.”
“Has it been hard?” It was surprising to Mai how emotionless he sounded. She remembered how Japan used to be, war-hardened, next to the kawaii scenic tourist location foreigners so romanticized in the twenty-first century. Mai quietly said, ”This is a war hell compared to the Japan you grew up in.”
Sasuke finally smiled, “I suppose you could say it’s a dream for me.  I get to see famous men and women of the Sengoku Period with my own eyes.”
“You’re strangely chipper about this.” Mai needs to get him home, probably now, and this was taking priority over discussing the properties of the rift with Bearsace after hearing how much history has changed.
Sasuke was happily talking now, “My parents were huge history buffs. I got my name from Sarutobi Sasuke-”
“Sarutobi Sasuke doesn’t exist. And I know that because I—hmm—Because I’m an actual historian.” He already knows about the rift—time travel—Mai considered just telling him about her being a witch.
Sasuke's face twitched, or lit up, “The legendary shinobi who served Sanada Yukimura. Because that Sasuke is fictional, I’ve taken his 'place’ in this time. That will let me keep my historical impact low.“
Mai fake laughed, ”Saving a dead man’s life isn’t low. And since when were you a shinobi, boy?” I was half joking. “Or is that something you picked up while you were here, Sarutobi-san?”
"I studied that here. It seemed useful to pick up a marketable vocation. Oh, please call me Sasuke.”
"Oh! I’m Mizusaki Mai. Mai is fine.” (We were each other’s only connection to home after all. From astrophysicist to shinobi. He’s frighteningly quick at adapting. I shook off my shock.)
Sasuke put out his hand. “Right now I’m employed with the men you saw earlier. Come with me. I promise I’ll find a way to return us both to the present.”
(Now would be the time to tell him I’m a witch.)
Mai was ready to take his hand when the sound of horses' hooves interrupted the silence.

I’m so sorry for spamming you with asks all day long😭😭 But omg I gotta ask you this before I forget!!
So I was reading No Longer Human and this paragraph really interested me:
Crime and Punishment. Dostoievski. These words grazed over a corner of my mind, startling me. Just supposing Dostoievski ranged 'crime' and 'punishment' side by side not as synonyms but as antonyms. Crime and punishment—absolutely incompatible ideas, irreconcilable as oil and water. I felt I was beginning to understand what lay at the bottom of the scum-covered, turbid pond, that chaos of Dostoievski's mind—no, I still didn't quite see... Such thoughts were flashing through my head like a revolving lantern when I heard a voice. (…)
This is really interesting, especially considering Fyodor’s scene in Dead Apple where he talked about Crime and Punishment.
What do you think he truly meant here? I understand that his sense of “crime” isn’t the same with the dictionary definition of crime, normally one would consider the punishment to be the consequence of the crime. Is he talking about the corruption of justice or the society? I wish we got more insight about his thoughts on this, but Yozo gets interrupted during his inner monologue which is saddening.
Ahh I'm so glad someone wanted to talk to me about this!! Because this part had been on my mind a lot since I've read the book, as this is one of the parts that I didn't really grasp and understand. But also really interested me, and I wished he wasn’t interrupted too. Ahh Dazai-sensei’s mind is so intriguing. Anyways
I do also feel that he is referring to a different type of crime, not the kind that we see in the justice system. No, I don't think Yozo nor Dazai has much care about that type of crime. After all, as we've seen in the anime, as Oda said good and bad doesn't mean much to him. This is also parallel of one quote in The Setting Sun, “I have never, not even once, acted on the basis of any doctrine or philosophy”.
But what if he isn’t referring to that kind of crime? I mean even Yozo himself said “actions punishable by jail sentence is not the only crime”. Crime can also be defined as “an action or activity considered to be evil, shameful, or wrong”. And what does this parallel to? Perhaps some other quotes from No Longer Human, “Mine has been a life of much shame” or “Living itself is the source of sin”. So is being human a source of crime in his pov? For we are constantly deceiving one another, as he said:
“I am convinced that human life is full with many pure, happy, serene examples of insincerity, truly splendid of their kind-of people deceiving one another without wounds being inflicted...”
But why does he see repentance, confession and prayer as synonyms to crime if that is the case? Perhaps it is because to do so, is to go against the normalcy of what Dazai seems to deem as humanity, and thus it is seen by others as a crime?
And yet, Dazai sees punishment as a complete opposite perhaps it is because this “crime” which he sees humanity commit is so frequent that it is ingrained in us? And is never punished for?
I honestly have no idea, but that could be one way to interpret it. But in a sense it is kind of ironic, because although Yozo seems to recognize this “crime of humanity” and is confessing his “crimes” in his works, he himself is deemed a criminal by the rest of humanity, as people like Horiki sees him as a criminal.
Honestly this whole part of the story is so interesting to me, and I’m so glad you wanted to talk about it haha. I wracked my brain for this😂
I also really like how this analysis interprets it, this is also the analysis which talked about Dead Apple and Carl Jung! And I urge you to read it, but only after season 3 as it has spoilers for it. There are also some manga spoilers in it as well unfortunately, but not too much I’d say?

Mad Dogs
A Mitsuhide Akechi fanfiction. This scene occurs at the start of Ch. 12 in the romantic route! Approx. 2600 words.
First: Mitsuhide and the Maiden
Previous: Keeping Secrets
Mitsuhide sat beside his little mouse, sharing space at the desk in their rooms. A packet of letters sat open in front of him, missives from Kyubei and his distant intelligence network. They were closing in on the shogun’s location. Ashikaga’s hiding spot was down to two holes he might have crawled into. Both had features to recommend them.
Nearness to reliable roads, distance from well-maintained lands. Space to accommodate his collected forces. Mitsuhide closed his eyes in thought.
“I’ll ask for some tea,” his little one said, and gave him a gentle kiss on the cheek.
“I thought I was the mindreader,” he smiled.
She laughed softly. “Another skill I learned from you, hm?”
Mitsuhide felt a burst of warmth, and would have pulled her into his arms had he not caught the soft chime of bells on the stairs below. His smile turned sharp as he stood, placing himself between the door and his beloved.
“What -” she started to ask, interrupted by the door sliding open and the sound of a harsh, wild laugh.
“Motonari works fast,” Mitsuhide muttered. “This will be our next ally.” He hoped. This meeting was an even bigger risk than Mouri had been.
He heard her whisper under her breath. “I hope we get a cleric. Someone with a lawful alignment, at least.” It was an odd thing to say, but strangely accurate, considering.
“Special delivery,” Motonari called out as he entered the room and presented the figure behind him.
“I assume you’ve called me here to perform your last rites, Mitsuhide Akechi.” Kennyo’s voice was low and smooth. Like an underground river, steadily dissolving the stone. Unstoppable, unchanging. He was as solid as ever, his wide shoulders filled the doorway. His mouth was set in a grim line, and his eyes were twin fires, giving heat but no light.
Mitsuhide met his gaze, acknowledging the shared history of violence between them. “Welcome, Abbot. I have been looking forward to this meeting.”
The chatelaine’s eyes went from Kennyo to Motonari, clearly trying to weigh the greater threat. She lingered on the monk, her eyebrows rising with a flash of recognition.
Mitsuhide wondered what she was thinking. Was it only surprise at seeing the man in person after all the rumors and stories she’d heard about the Abbot? Or did she have yet another secret she hadn’t shared with him? The need to know was a dangerous distraction and he worked to force his attention back to the immediate problem. “My dear, you should wait next door.”
She stubbornly shook her head. “I’m staying right here.”
He wanted to argue with her but Mouri dismissed the problem of her presence. “Forget the girl, kitsune. Let’s get to business, savvy?”
Kennyo’s glare rolled from Mitsuhide to Motonari. “I am not here for business.” He pulled his prayer staff apart, revealing the slim, sharp blade hidden within.
Mitsuhide pulled his own sword the second he caught the reflected lamplight in its metallic sheen. It was a good thing he did as he only barely managed to block the Abbot’s strike. “What a very sensible weapon.” He gave the monk a tight smile.
“I am not here to listen to you talk,” Kennyo growled. “I am here to send you to hell where you belong!” His advance was like a boulder coming down the side of a mountain. Inexorable.
The monk brought the blunt end of his staff up. Mitsuhide caught the blow on the flat of his blade, but the force of it shivered up his arm and left him open. Open to the glistening tip of Kennyo’s sword as it swept toward his throat.
The chatelaine lurched forward, her hands flying up as if to stop the monk’s sword.
Mitsuhide moved back and the strike that would have killed him only left a small pearl of blood at his throat. His attention wasn’t on the wound or even his near-death blow. It was on his little one, who stood awkwardly in the midst of drawn blades, her hands still extended. “Get back, now,” he shouted, his voice cracking with panic held barely in check.
If she was hurt . . . if . . . he couldn’t finish the thought. His little mouse turned her head to look at him but didn’t follow his order. Mitsuhide grabbed her arm and pulled her behind him and into a corner. With a wall on two sides, leaving him a smaller area to guard.
Kennyo’s scar pulled at his face, twisting the grim smile he now wore. “You are afraid, Akechi. Good. May your death bring a measure of peace to your victims.” The Abbot prepared for another strike.
Motonari’s shrill laugh split the tense air. “Come on! Yer not tryin’ ta leave me outta the fun, are ya?” He pulled his sword in one hand and his pistol in the other. His grin was manic and feral as he looked between possible targets.
Mitsuhide felt sick with anxiety. Against one madman, he was sure he could keep his little one safe. Against two? And one armed with a pistol? He would need to disarm or kill Mouri first. Kennyo was a deadly opponent, but predictable. The move would leave him open to the monk, but made it less likely that his beloved would be hurt. He shifted his stance, readying himself.
“Thanks fer gettin’ the party started.” Motonari laughed again. “I was feelin’ lonely over here.”
Mitsuhide leapt at Mouri, giving the pirate no time to move into a better position. But Kennyo wasn’t going to wait for his turn.
The Abbot stepped between Motonari and Mitsuhide, shoving the kitsune warlord back. “I will not be cheated of your death!”
Mouri struck at the monk, forcing Kennyo to turn and block his blade.
Mitsuhide took advantage of the distraction, knocking the pistol from Motonari’s grip. The sharp edge of his sword left the skin of Mouri’s hand split open and weeping redly. He chanced a look back at his beloved. She hadn’t budged from her spot in the corner. “Run!” Mitsuhide kicked Mouri’s pistol further from him. “Run while you can!”
The pirate laughed even louder, moving as quick as an eel to dodge Kennyo and turn his aggression toward Mitsuhide.
The chatelaine shook herself from her shock and darted around the edge of the fray. Mitsuhide felt a spike of worry but in a moment she’d reach the door, and safety. But before she was out of danger, she stopped, turned.
Mitsuhide recognized the expression on her face. Naive resolve. That stubborn streak he loved and hated.
Instead of running, she shoved herself into the middle of the combat. “STOP! Stop fighting this instant!”
Motonari’s cackle rose in volume and pitch as he laughed at her bold - and foolish - move. But Kennyo’s sword armed dropped.
“That’s right! You heard me! Cut it out!”
That was perhaps not the best choice of words, Mitsuhide thought. But it seemed to work. At least, it brought a moment of calm as the monk and the pirate watched her. He calculated his next move should they resume the attack. At this distance, he could easily get his little one out the door, though it would leave him painfully open. Worth it, but he’d take a wound or two. Probably not enough to kill him. Not quickly. Plenty of time to take them both down . . .
The chatelaine put her fists to her hips, staring them down. Even Mouri felt the weight of her disapproval. His laughter died off. “You. Are acting like children. I thought this was a meeting of men.” One hand rose, finger extended like a weapon toward the Abbot. “And you! Aren’t you a monk? Attacking your host?” Her voice was hot with outrage. “Where are your manners?”
Kennyo took a step back, his eyes wide. “Are you . . . rebuking me?”
Her lips were set in a firm line, cheeks red with anger. Hot eyes swept Mitsuhide and Mouri up together. “And you! Don’t think this doesn’t apply to you. Did you want help? Or not?”
Had they not had an audience - and a deadly one at that - Mitsuhide would have kissed her. Battle-lust still sang in his veins and all that energy needed an outlet. He could imagine crushing her against the wall, his lips taking hers while his hands tore open that kimono to . . . he coughed. His little one was . . . entirely . . . too distracting.
She seemed oblivious to his thoughts as she crossed her arms. “Well? You have about three seconds to put up your weapons and prove to me that you are men. Otherwise I’ll - I’ll turn this party right around!”
Motonari’s lips turned up in a muted smile, unusual for him. Mitsuhide did not like the light in Mouri’s eyes as he regarded the chatelain. After a long moment of silence, the pirate sheathed his sword and picked his pistol up.
He put his own blade away and heard Kennyo do the same. He chuckled as she watched them obey her order. “To think, after everything it is you that now lectures me.” He bowed to her and then to his guests.
“Perfect,” she chirped, flashing the three men a tight smile. “I’ll get some tea.”
Mitsuhide could tell by the way she stepped toward the door that she was a breath away from falling over. Her firmness was an act. Convincing, but short-lived. He caught her by the elbow and helped her to the door.
She leaned against him taking strength from his closeness.
He kissed her cheek and whispered. “I am sorry to put you in danger like that. It seems I - I lost my cool.”
“It’s because of me, isn’t it? You never let anything disturb you before.” Her troubled expression broke his heart.
“No,” he shook his head. “I don’t want you to think about that. My actions are mine alone. Only I bear any blame.” He bit at his lip before continuing. “I couldn’t handle seeing someone pull a weapon so close to you.”
Behind them, Kennyo cleared his throat. “Who is this young girl, Akechi?”
Mitsuhide turned, his arm still around his little mouse. “She is a princess of the Oda, the chatelaine of Azuchi castle and my - my fiancee.”
“Your . . .” The Abbot’s expression was one of surprise. His hard eyes focused on the chatelaine. “Young lady. I have a question for you.”
Motonari leaned back on the wall, looking as if this had been the outcome he wanted all along. “Finally ready to talk, eh?”
“Quiet. I’m not speaking to you.” Kennyo’s gaze did not waver. “Why are you here, girl? With Mitsuhide Akechi on the dawn of his march against the shogun?”
With a deep breath, the chatelaine stood up straight, removing herself from the warmth and support Mitsuhide offered. She met the Abbot’s eyes without flinching. “Officially, I’m here to get in Mitsuhide’s way. To stop him from being reckless.” She smiled wistfully. “At least, that’s my job until the battle starts. But up to that moment, I plan to be by his side.”
“I see.” Kennyo’s gravelled voice sounded uncertain, a tone that rarely came from the demon-monk.
“If you’re done talking to my lit - ah, my fiancee, I’d like to speak with you about my proposal,” Mitsuhide interrupted.
The Abbot’s expression hardened. “I have put down my weapon at the request of this young woman. Do not take that for interest in whatever game you play, kitsune.”
Mitsuhide glanced at Mouri in annoyance. “I had hoped your former ally would put a little more effort into persuading you.”
“Pfft. Be thankful I even brought ‘im,” Motonari snorted.
Kennyo’s squared his shoulders. “I am leaving. Be warned that when I see you again, I will not show mercy.”
“Please. A moment more, Abbot Kennyo.” Mitsuhide thought courtesy and respect would buy him just a little more time to soften the monk to his plot. “You have reason to disdain an alliance with me, but you share a need to see the shogun dead.”
The Abbot raised one eyebrow.
“Your follower, the one killed in the Azuchi dungeons?” Mitsuhide assumed Kennyo would remember the recent loss. He saw the Abbot give a slight nod. “He was murdered on Ashikaga’s orders. Yoshiaki used that death to try and make it seem that you and I were connected.”
Kennyo’s low growl sounded more demon than man.
The chatelaine nodded agreement. “Yes, that’s right. He admitted it at Honno-ji.”
Mitsuhide watched the Abbot carefully. This was delicate work. “That death came after days of gruesome torture as he was forced to lie, and falsely confess we were allies.”
“Why . . . why are you telling me what I already know?” The words tore from the Abbot’s throat, a rumble of warning like the snarl of a rabid dog.
This would either win him to their side or provoke a renewed attack. Mitsuhide took a small step forward, just to make sure he could easily push his little one out the door if it came to that. “What other agents of yours might the shogun already know about? Perhaps another spy in the Oda forces? One my informants tell me is currently pursuing the shogun as we speak?” The image of bright, troubled eyes and a sweet smile accompanied the words as Mitsuhide thought on the subject of their discussion.
The Abbot’s expression shifted to one of surprise and barely suppressed rage.
Yes. Now they had him. Mitsuhide kept his expression neutral. “I am right, am I not? Your faithful pet, the one you snuck into Azuchi some time ago . . . he is the one you’ve set to hunt the shogun.”
Mouri chuckled. “Damn. You even know about the kid, huh?”
“You hellspawn,” Kennyo rumbled. He grabbed Mitsuhide by his clothes and lifted him up as if to shake him.
Mitsuhide knew he’d won this round. “Perhaps? But as you may know, my memory is quite poor. I find myself often confused . . . forgetting all kinds of things . . .” The Abbot had only to accept his defeat now. “I suspect that as long as I have proper allies in my fight against the shogun, this little detail will have quite escaped me by the time I return to Azuchi.”
Kennyo did shake him then. Still refusing to see the inevitable conclusion of this meeting.
“Abbot . . . tell me, didn’t you come tonight because your own fight against Ashikaga was going harder than you expected? Didn’t you wish for some assistance? Be honest with yourself, if not with me.”
Motonari straightened. “Come on, Kennyo. It’s not like yer marryin’ the kitsune. This is all just temporary. We can kill Akechi the second we put the shogun down.”
“You are both vile men.” The Abbot lowered Mitsuhide to the ground and released his grip.
“An’ vicious, mad, bloodthirsty,” Mouri went on, his grin widening until his teeth shone.
Mitsuhide straightened his clothes. “Yes. We are all birds of a feather. And to kill a man who barely grants others their place as fellow humans, it falls to monsters like ourselves.”
Kennyo’s nod of agreement was barely a tilt of his chin. “Do not expect camaraderie from me. The moment the shogun’s head leaves his neck, I will again seek Nobunaga’s life. And yours.” The twin fires of his eyes burned like banked coals.
“Your terms are accepted. Now. We have much planning to do.” At that, the three sat on the floor, together, but apart. Hands near weapons, tense shoulders, and terse words.
“I’ll ah, go get that tea then,” the chatelaine mumbled.
Mitsuhide flashed her a small smile. He was so proud of her. And so troubled by her. How could one little mouse leave him such a mess?

Chapter I (Kenshin’s POV)
Betrayal.
Cutting deeper than the sharpest blade.
Unforgiving like Himetsuru-Ichimonji, severing the red string of fate as quickly as it is drawn from its scabbard.
So why was it that Kenshin still couldn’t bring himself to hate her?
Footsteps echoing along stone walls in the bowels of Kasugayama Castle — the very place where he had her cast behind bars — Kenshin wanders, trapped in a hell from which there was no escape.
For the confines of the mind were impervious to even the God of War’s sharpened steel.
And in between each beat of his thunderous heart, he hears her: gentle tears rolling down that delicate face to fall on packed earth, the ground’s inhospitable chill reaching up through limbs to rob even the final vestiges of warmth from bone.  Her every shuddering breath is a weight upon his chest, suffocating until Kenshin clings to the reins of reason holding him back from storming her cell like a madman, animated solely by the fire commanding him to see, to touch…
…to love her.
Hands clenching into tight fists, Kenshin’s knuckles blanch whiter than his already pale skin when he slows to a stop.  Round the corner and there she’ll be.
Woman of the Oda.  The Devil King’s own.
She, who had lied in the same breath that commiserated with him as they waited for Sasuke’s return.  She, whose tears left him dazzled, catching the light of the fire like precious stones even as their salt stung, seeping into his open wounds.  She, who had held his hand within her own, caring not about sullying her perfect skin with his tainted blood.
Because tainted is what he is.  It is what he deserves.
And yet, he can’t help but see the moonlight in her gaze, shimmering like a spectre every time he closes his eyes.  Can’t stop himself from desiring the tender warmth of her smile.  Still wonders at her fearless bravado in the face of a man who brought nothing but death and destruction upon friend and foe alike.
Isehime.
No.
No, he will not see her, Kenshin thinks, gaze frosting over as he wills the ice in his veins to freeze a heart he no longer wanted to feel.  He walks away, forcing himself to believe that the sound of her sorrow growing faint was nothing more than mice in the walls.
Tumblr media
Chapter II (Reader’s POV)
Ethereal moons beckon from scrolls depicting each of the four seasons — resplendent colours discordant against the drab stone walls on which they hang.
Cherry blossoms flutter against gold-foil skies; delicate petals frozen in time as they float across a folding screen.
Even the futon in the corner of your cell seemed fit for a princess at court, much more luxurious than the one in which you had slept at Azuchi.
The Dragon of Echigo had took it upon himself to see that his spoils of war would want for nothing, and yet he would deny you the one thing you truly desired:
The man himself.
Sasuke, Shingen and Yukimura would visit — sometimes together, sometimes in turn — graciously sharing their company for which you were so starved.  Your ninja friend swore with as much emotion as he could muster to do anything and everything possible to persuade his lord to release you, or at the very least, agree to see you.  Yukimura couldn’t stop shaking his head, the expression on his face indignant to see you treated thus, ‘boar woman’ though you were.  As for Lord Shingen, he likened you to a bird in a gilded cage, trying to tempt you with offers of freedom and a ready smile on his face that surely would’ve moved any woman to see it…
…any woman but you, that is.
For in your eyes, there was only ever Kenshin — the man who came to your rescue time and time again without knowing your true identity.  Intoxicating like the finest sake, each and every moment spent by his side became a precious embrace of a memory, emblazoned in your mind until it was impossible to forget:
The black cape that flowed from broad shoulders like a powerful wave, trailing behind him that night he saved you from those thugs in Azuchi.  The way your feet dragged behind his footsteps, moving slow just to watch him cut swift through tall grass with all the seasoned grace of a dancer.  His porcelain skin glowing from within as if lit by the light of his own moon.
And in his eyes…sorrow as unfathomable as the sea was deep, rising like smoke from sapphire and emerald in those rare moments the Dragon of Echigo let down his guard.  But alas, no more.
You had broken his trust.
How many nights have you lain awake, seeking out pinprick stars through the sliver of window high above your prison and thinking about how things might have been different?  What if you had disclosed your relationship with the Oda at the very start?  Would the press of the cold steel of his blade be more of a consolation against your neck than the heartbreak spreading from chest to limb every time you lay down to sleep?
Sleep?
No, that was not forthcoming these days — rest a luxury you couldn’t afford until the moment you could face Kenshin for yourself and tell him that you never meant to hurt him, never meant to lie.  That though Nobunaga found you first, you had no ulterior motive in approaching Kenshin other than the fact that you…you…
…simply couldn’t stay away.
No matter what anyone tried to say about him.
For even on the battlefield, every nerve singed as the stench of freshly spilt blood filled your nostrils, you still couldn’t tear your gaze from the one they revered as the God of War.  Like an immortal stepping from an unfurling scroll, Kenshin moved with the fluid grace of a master painter wielding his brush, completely at one with his sword as he dispatched his enemies with a precision that terrified and awed all at once.
And when he held you in his arms that night — the same hand which had claimed countless lives bleeding into your own as you clasped it in prayer for Sasuke’s safe return — you had felt no fear; only the wish that time would stretch into eternity so that you might forever have him near.
“Kenshin.”
You say his name once…twice…the syllables rolling off your tongue to echo down the hallway like a ghost, lonely and forgotten in the dungeons of Kasugayama Castle.  What was freedom to you when you couldn’t bear to break the shackles chaining you to a god who would never look your way again?
Tumblr media
Chapter III (Kenshin’s POV)
“Kenshin.”
Her voice halts him in his tracks, one hand shooting out to rest upon the cool stone wall as Kenshin bolsters himself against the sudden weakness in his knees.  When was the last time he heard her speak his name?  Had it always sounded so melodic, caressing up the spine to curl gently upon the lobe of his ear?
That she is calling for him at a time when she should’ve been fast asleep is a source of elation and anxiety all at once, She is thinking of me tempered by the dread in knowing that she wasn’t getting the rest her body needed.  And slowly, slowly…the scales start to tip: if she didn’t sleep, she’d become too exhausted to eat.  And without eating, she would…
…die.
The nightmare would begin anew.  Except this time, it would be her blood on Kenshin’s hands, spilling crimson over the scars left behind by Isehime’s lifeless body.
She’ll slip away from you like the other, the voice in his head chastises, full of malice as darkness begins unfurling from the corners of his mind, tightening the vice in his chest.  They come hard and fast, thoughts tangling one over the other like a labyrinth of vines from which there was no escape:
Poison runs through your veins.  Loving her would only doom the girl to misfortune and regret.
If she is not yours, could you possibly surrender her to anyone else?
You cannot outrun your curse.  All those you hold dear will end up like Isehime: sleeping in the cold earth.
No one must lay eyes on her beauty, witness her elegance, know of the rare flower blooming in the depths of this dungeon.
No one but you.
Fist pulling back, Kenshin releases the full force of his strength in a punch to the wall.  Bruised bone and shredded skin send blistering pain to interrupt the cacophony in his head, silence reigning supreme once more until
“Kenshin?”
…she calls for him again, voice coloured with anticipation this time.  He hears a shuffle, sees her in his mind’s eye — throwing off the covers of her bedding to press against the bars, straining to peek around the wooden slats that kept her from freedom.  Kept her from him.
“Please, Kenshin…is that you?”
He knows not why he does it, body moving before his mind is even aware.  Kenshin had managed to make his way to her cell undetected every night since he put her there, standing silent in shadowy corners just to watch her sleep, allowing the rise and fall of her breath to soothe him with the knowledge that she was still very much alive.  But now, in a single moment of thoughtlessness, he had thrown it all away.
She gasps to finally see him and even the sound of that is beautiful, resonating clear like the note of an expertly plucked koto.  His gaze falls on her tightened grip around the bars, follows the solitary tear gathering starlight as it rolls down her cheek.  And when her eyes widen in horror to look upon the state of his injured hand, Kenshin feels it:
A shift deep within, barely perceptible but wholly significant, like ice cracking beneath the surface of a frozen stream.
And the rush of waters that follows drowns the lovers in a flood from which neither was capable of nor willing to escape.

Chapter IV (Reader’s POV)
Perhaps he really was a god, answering every prayer that ever slipped past noiseless lips to materialize before you in that prison.  His white kimono is pristine beneath that black cloak, as if emphasizing the sanctity of his being, the unalterable distance between Uesugi Kenshin and a mere mortal such as yourself.  But then the rivulets of red run down that swollen hand to tell you otherwise; the revelation bittersweet because maybe now, there was a way for you to be together, complicated though circumstances were.
So you reach for him through the bars and he complies, watching as you lay kisses upon bruised fingers, feeling the familiar sting of your tears as they seep into wounded flesh and broken hearts — full of sorrow, full of joy…and impossible to stop.
“Push me away.”
His voice is soft for the hard edges of his words.  Head lifting, you meet those striking eyes, focused and still.  Yet, you felt the storm brewing in those blue and green depths, turmoil barely concealed beneath the ice of his gaze.  And there, standing before the man whose very blood stained your lips, you refuse.
Lightning flashes in those eyes and suddenly, his fingers are curling tight about the sleeve of your kimono, Kenshin pulling you close through the bars in one swift motion until the stilted rhythm of his breath is dancing hot over your skin.
“Say it.  Say you hate me, that you want absolutely nothing to do with me.  Do it now or else—”
“No.  Never.  How could I ever bring myself to hate the one I love—”
The grimace on his handsome face cuts you off, the great Dragon of Echigo trembling at the very word, love, like it was dirty, taboo.  And as the final threads of control slip from his grasp, Kenshin is moving once more without thought — his body a slave to the dictates of the heart.  Yanking on the ring of keys hanging from his tapered waist, Kenshin throws open the door to your cell and in an instant, he is by your side.
“Fine.  Then I’ll make you hate me.”
His whisper is a promise.
The keys clatter as they’re thrown to the ground, but all you could hear was the rush of blood in your ears, deafening with every pounding beat of your heart to feel his lips on yours for the very first time.  The insistent tongue pushing into your mouth carries a hint of sake, the fervour of his kiss leaving you intoxicated and desperate for more.
Long fingers thread through the silk of your hair, Kenshin’s grip gentle yet firm as he angles your head to deepen the kiss, bringing you closer and closer until the end of his exhalation marked the beginning of your next breath.  And hadn’t it always been this way, you forever chasing after the mystery that was this beautifully broken man?  The intensity of his want is a spell that bewitches, inexorably pulling you into the crucible of his desire, passion matching yours flame for burning flame until all else was extinguished.
Good and bad, right or wrong.
Words insignificant like ash in the face of this all-consuming love.
“Hate me,” Kenshin begs, teeth sinking into your lower lip until the taste of your blood mixed with his.  “Please…or else I’ll never give you up.”
Open-mouthed kisses now trailing wet along the column of your neck, your fingers find purchase in his golden hair, pulling hard as you yield to the sensation of his breath moving lower and lower still.  Kenshin groans, the sound resonating from deep within his chest to send a rush of heat that dampens the sacred space between your legs.
Body ready and heart set, your mind had been made up long ago.  So you grasp onto those shoulders — broad and strong — to pull Kenshin up before you.  And in the silent space between the beating of twin hearts, you say with a conviction so strong there could be no doubt,
“I am yours.”
The sound that catches in his throat is guttural, almost feral as those eyes of emerald and sapphire train on you with the intensity of a thousand suns.  A sea of emotions flit across that handsome face, subtly shifting until one finally wins out:
Need.
You barely feel it though it must’ve taken considerable force to tear your obi off, the sumptuous kimono he gifted you with slipping from your shoulders as the God of War sets you upon the futon fit for a princess.  Elegant even in haste, Kenshin disrobes with the grace of snow falling on frost-covered pine, revealing porcelain skin stretched over perfectly sculpted muscle that beckons to your every nerve.
And before the dungeon’s chill could rattle your bones, he gathers you into the heat of his embrace.  Skin to skin, the arms wrapped around you tremble when he whispers, “I’ve wanted you so desperately, I-I don’t think I can hold back.”
Head falling back onto your pillow, you will Kenshin to see the sincerity, the surrender in the darkened gaze that reflects his very image.
“Then give me everything.  I want…all that you are.”
It tears a breathless gasp from your lips, mouth drawn open in a silent scream when Kenshin fills you to the hilt with a single thrust — the thick, hard heat of his cock testing the limits of your body with its size.  Equally skilled in bed as he was on the battlefield, the God of War is a force to be reckoned with, the swing of his hips graceful even as they connect with yours, ruthless in speed and intensity.
He moves within your body like he belongs, pulling out only to dive even deeper into slick depths until pleasure bloomed pink along your skin, the hardened tips of your breasts so enticing Kenshin couldn’t help but take them into his mouth in greedy turn as he continued thrusting, harder and faster until your legs began to shake.
“Oh god, Kenshin!  You feel…so…good...ahh!—”
Pants and screams echo down darkened corridors, the sound of your pleasure in being taken this way resonating in the corners of every prison cell until you think to bite onto the sleeve of your kimono.  But Kenshin just shakes his head, the sweat of exertion glistening on his body as his fingers move towards your mouth.
“No, I want…hmm…to hear you.  Every sound you make is…precious to me.  Let it out.”
With that, he removes the embroidered fabric, lips pressing to yours to swallow every licentious moan for himself as he props your legs up against his shoulders.  All of a sudden, like pieces of a puzzle sliding into place, the motion awakens sensations you never before knew existed.
Unable to scream with your lover’s tongue in your mouth, your body responds in the only other way it knew how: convulsing beneath Kenshin until he is forced to pull out, allowing a flood of your arousal to cascade past swollen lips, spilling down the insides of your thighs in a lewd display that wets the bedding beneath your entwined bodies.  And yet,
“More.  Please, Kenshin…I want more…”
…you were insatiable.
The sight, sound and smell of you so undone ignites a fire inside the warlord, his mind scrambled by lust.  And when he slides into you once more, he fucks with absolute abandon, yearning for complete union even as he leaves you breathless to finally spill into your depths.
* * *
You awake to moonlight glowing soft beyond shoji screens and the rhythm of a heartbeat, measured and slow beneath your ear.  The robe you wore was fresh and soft; vague recollections of Kenshin gently caressing your fatigued body with a washcloth filtering in and out of your thoughts.  At some point, he must’ve carried you to his chambers, sleeping now as you were upon his chest.
Lifting your head, you gaze at your lover in repose.  It fills you with affection to see him — heart tightening to bind you to this man.  And as his muscular arm winds about your waist, you knew you would forever be a willing prisoner to his love.

...i would like to request a part 2 of the Kennyo×Reader×Y!Nobunaga plz only if you want to I understand if you cant/dont want to I just loved it so much 😣💘❤
All For Her - Yandere!Nobunaga X Reader X Kennyo PT 2
PART 1, ALTERNATE ENDING
Not gonna lie to you, it was so hard to pick an ending for this. I enjoyed writing the conclusion to this work that I'm sad to see it end. Don't worry, I have many Yandere works I'm still working on!
Because you requested for a second part, I decided to make this a bit of a more hurt/comfort type since I wanted to give you some happiness in this work.
TW: Yandere, Self-Poisoning, Hurt/comfort
"How would you like to rule the world by my side?"
Those words…
Those words were your death sentence.
~○~
"Your death will surely be my greatest victory," Nobunaga cried, swinging his sword at the monk. "The people would find it heroic how I rescued my bride from the Ikko Ikki's leader―"
"You defiled her!" Kennyo roared, unsheathing his staff. He blocked the rampant parries of the Devil King. "And you think that's love."
~○~
"This will be the last time you hold her, Kennyo."
He roared, howling at the pain of the sword. Kennyo fell to the ground, the stab to his shoulder numbing all of his senses as the blade cuts deep into his flesh.
"Perhaps YN would cast you away if I scar your face once again… Oh… How adorable she'd look to you in horror with the new scars I give you," Nobunaga teased, his menacing tone only edging his sword. "Or, I should kill you right here, and your head should be my bride's present…"
"Not so fast, Nobunaga."
A uniform of dark blue came to view, and two twin shining katanas.
"Masamune… Should I consider this a betrayal or a duel?"
"Consider this your loss," Masamune confidently chided.
"Why... Why do you defend a demon One Eyed Dragon?!"
Masamune struggles against Nobunaga's sword, pushing him away and giving distance between them. "Abbot... I'm not defending you. I'm doing this for her," He said, smiling at the man who won his Kitten's heart. "I'll let her be happy with you. Anything, just anything away from the Oda. Now go."
"You'll be in my prayers, Date."
Kennyo hung onto Ranmaru, the swishing of swords and cries of confusion dying down as Ranmaru escorts him away from the battlefield.
Masamune heaves out, taking a large blow to his chest as the Devil King of the Sixth Heaven holds a sword to his neck.
"How would you like to lose the other eye for treason, Date Masamune?"
SHING
"Apologies Lord Nobunaga."
"You owe me one, Masamune."
Ieyasu and Mitsunari raised their swords at Nobunaga, blocking the oncoming attack from reaching Masamune's neck.
"Oi, Date Dragon, don't fall just yet…" Keiji said, holding onto Masamune, with Kojuro trying to stop the bleeding from Masamune's armour.
"I won't Keiji… Not until I see her happy…" He said, passing out from the fight.
~○~
"Kennyo!" You were frightened by the red stains on his kimono as Ranmaru brought him in from the battlefield. Before you confronted Kennyo, Sasuke bowed to you, joining up with his group.
"YN, I'm glad we meet again but I must go on with Kenshin's plan."
You bowed to both Sasuke and Ranmaru, appreciating their help.
You tried to wrap and dress his wound as quickly as you could, salvaging any amount of salve you could. Kennyo winced in pain, enduring it for now.
After dressing his wound, you couldn't stop shaking. He was weak at the moment, barely opening his eyes. You could feel his hand reach out to yours, and you brought it to your cheek.
"YN… I'm sorry I couldn't protect you…" He said, trembling under the thought of the battle.
"He… He did this to you…" You whispered, frightened of the thought of Nobunaga and the terror he brought on to the battlefield.
Kennyo tapped your palm once again, bringing you to listen to him. "The Date Dragon saved me, YN… For that I am grateful…" He coughed, pressing his hand down on his chest. You quickly cleaned up any saliva that seeped out, begging him to take rest.
Enough was enough, you thought.
You couldn’t afford anyone else to be hurt.
Be it your friends in the Oda; Masamune, Hideyoshi, Ieyasu…
Or be it your friends you met through Kennyo; Kenshin, Ranmaru, Yukimura…
You couldn't.
Not for your selfish reasons.
Once Kennyo had passed out, you kissed his temple, whispering your affections and apologies.
"My love… I'm sorry… Live for me, won't you?"
~○~
You ordered one of the guards to carry you on horseback as swiftly as the horse could to the battlefield. You clutched the napkin carefully, your eyes searching for the warlords.
Without hesitation, you jumped off the horse, running up to where Ieyasu and Mitsunari were holding off Nobunaga.
Ripping off your hood, you revealed yourself to the warlords. "NOBUNAGA! I CALL TRUCE!"
Nobunaga saw your face, and he blocked off his allies, reaching out to you.
"She said, she called for truce," Kenshin said, standing next to you and guarding you.
Once all the troops had returned, you allied yourself with the Uesugi-Takeda warlords as the warlords of the Oda alliance reluctantly sided with their commander.
Nobunaga spoke first, "Now, my Princess, did you call truce to willingly return to me?"
You firmly replied, casting away your anxious subconscious at the sound of his voice, "I'd be a fool."
"Instead," You spoke again. "Let the Uesugi-Takeda leave. Let me stay with them, in exchange for the Oda claiming this land and the resources here."
They did not word it, but Kenshin and Shingen stood by you with no rebuttals. Your heart stilled at their silent agreement and support.
Shingen added on, "Consider the Princess collateral for your war, Nobunaga. With her, the alliance has reason to believe you won't be a threat to us."
Nobunaga was unimpressed, reaching for his katana. "What half-assed words… There is no benefit to the Oda in this arrangement."
The other warlords of the Oda were dumbfounded. Hideyoshi spoke up, "My lord! This is considerably generous-"
"Do not cross me."
You shivered, remembering the cold tone of that voice. No, this was not the time to give in. You threatened the warlords, revealing the needle closer to your skin. "Let me go, or you will have nothing to live for, Oda Nobunaga."
Those manipulative eyes quickly looked in horror as you pricked yourself, the poison quickly drawing into your system.
"YN!" Sasuke cried out. Yoshimoto quickly caught you, but you stopped Yoshimoto from touching the wound.
"Suffer as I did, Nobunaga."
The Devil of the Sixth Heaven, in front of his vassals, fell to his knees.
"Ieyasu!" He roared. "Heal her!"
The Tokugawa lord did not budge an inch.
Ieyasu curtly responded. "Call off the war, then I'll do it."
"Too little too late, Nobunaga," Masamune said, sheathing his katana. "Your allies will abandon you if you go on with this war."
"Lord Nobunaga, no, Nobunaga," Hideyoshi claimed. "Return the admirable lord I served, not one who falls so easily."
Kenshin chipped in, "I will retreat my troops as well, Oda. You're not a worthy opponent now, so fight me once you've gained your honour."
The Uesugi-Takeda warlords stood behind you, as Yoshimoto clutched your poisoned body.
"Foolish girl, you knew this would finish him," Yoshimoto whispered, trying to discretely draw out the poison.
"It's done. The Oda will retreat."
The moment Nobunaga said those words, Ieyasu rushed to your side, immediately drawing out the poison from your blood. "Honestly, you're such an idiot after all this time," He scolded, a tear or two slipping down his cheek.
"And not one of you has changed," You said. "Ieyasu, everyone, thank you…"
All you saw was your dearest friends crying out for you as the world turned black.
~○~
Days later, you woke up in your room at Kenshin's place. Nothing but seeing Kennyo entered your mind, as you raced to his room.
"Kennyo!"
"YN?" He was well and up in his futon, being visited by the Uesugi-Takeda group.
You jumped into his arms, finally being able to feel his warmth.
"I heard what you did, my dear…" He said, sitting you on his lap. "Thank you."
You shook your head, "It was for you, for everything you'd granted to me. My freedom, my livelihood… and love," You said, looking up to your lover. "For that, Kennyo, may I marry you and can we stay together until our time ends?"
Kennyo himself was shocked, not expecting such words from you. He turned red, and unexpectedly the warlords still didn't leave the room.
"C'mon old friend! Your lovely lady proposed to you!" Shingen cheered on.
Sasuke and Yoshimoto nodded. "What a wholesome ending," Yoshimoto added on.
"Gosh, why do I have to witness th-"
Yukimura was quickly silenced by his lord and his best friend. Kenshin simply smiled, drinking his sake in response.
Kennyo hugged you, his tears soaking your kimono. "My love… I will. I will live for you and stay with you until our time ends."
"You swear on it?"
"Of course, it’s all for you."
~○~
"LN Kenta! Are you listening?!"
The boy slumped his head to the desk, reiterating the history lesson, "-And the leader Ikko Ikki was rumoured to have escaped the battlefield with Lady LN YN but no proof has ever been found except for a bear made by Lady LN left in Kennyo's temple…"
"Right!" The history teacher exclaimed. "Next test will be about Oda Nobunaga's married life, including the tale of Lady LN and all relating battles…"
Kenta shuffled out of the classroom, slinging his jacket over his shoulders and then and there, he saw his lover Mai waiting for him.
"You could've eaten on your own…"
She smiled at her boyfriend, leaning on his shoulder. "Well, food's better when you're around people you love!"
Unbeknownst to the couple's eyes, a stalking figure of the captain of the baseball team watched them, his gaze envious at LN Kenta.
"Oi! Oda-senpai!"
"Oda Nozaki! Hurry up!"
The dark haired boy shifted away from his hiding spot, putting on his cheerful façade in front of his kouhai and friends. "Guys! I'm here…"
"Sheesh… Took you long enough…"
"I bet Oda-senpai was staring at the Drama Club's tailor again… Katakura Mai-san right?"
Nozaki shushed his teasing kouhai, shoving their caps straight on. "Hey, don't waste your time on gossip. We've got a war to train for."
"It's just a friendly match Nozaki!"
As the group went ahead, Nozaki trailed behind, taking one more glance at his beloved Mai.
It's alright, my little fireball. This rivalry between me and Kenta…
It's all for you.

The Tiger and The Oda Princess Ch. 5
Chapter 5
It had been a couple of weeks since Asuna's arrival. The winter weather was getting colder. The seamstresses and I were getting more orders in for haoris and cloaks, and other winter clothing items. We also sewed extra blankets. While we sold many items, we also gave many away to those in need of them.
I was sitting in our room sewing when Shingen came in from a meeting. He was carrying a tray with warm tea and soup on it. "Are you ready for a break my love?" He asked.
The aroma wafted to me. Before I could answer, my stomach let out a growl. I giggled and blushed. "I think that is a yes." I was then placing a loose stitch in the piece I was working on to save my place.
Shingen sat down beside me with the tray. We began to eat and drink the hot tea. It warmed me nicely, keeping away the chill of winter.
"You have been working very hard lately." He said.
"Lots of people need warm clothes for these cold nights." I replied.
Shingen smiled at me. "You care so much for others." He said. He was then wrapping an arm around me and pulling me close, kissing me gently on the lips.
I smiled up at him. "What was that for?"
"Because I love you and you were being impossibly cute." He answered. "What do you say we take a little trip tomorrow?" He asked.
"A trip?'
"Not a very far one." Shingen answered. "It would only be a few hours ride. Asuna said it should be no problem for you and the baby so long as you don't fall from the horse and I keep you warm."
"Where would we be going?" I asked.
"There's a village." Shingen began to explain. "It's...part of a neutral territory."
"What do you mean?" I asked, feeling suspicious.
"It is neither part of Kai nor is it Oda territory." Shingen explained. "It's not too far and the road there isn't a particularly dangerous one."
"Shingen...are you saying what I think you're saying?" I asked.
"I wrote to the Oda, asking them to meet with us there so you could see them and share our news in person." Shingen answered. "I know you miss them."
I felt tears welling up in my eyes. "Shingen..." I was then throwing my arms around him and hugging him. "I can't believe you did that for me."
Shingen wrapped his arms around me, his hands rubbing my back. "As I have already told you my love, I can deny you nothing."
"You're the best." I told him. "How did I ever get lucky enough to have as wonderful a husband as you?"
"I'm the lucky one to have you as my wife." Shingen replied, turning his head to gently kiss my neck.
I shivered slightly at the touch of his lips. I pulled back to look at him. There was a different hunger in his eyes as he looked at me, one I know was reflected in my own. We drew together in a kiss that quickly deepened. Shingen broke the kiss only to trail kisses along my jaw and to my ear, where his teeth nips at the sensitive shell.
"Shin...gen." I moaned.
"Ava..." He said my name as if it were a prayer.
Just as his hands were going to the obi around my waist there was a knock at the door and a vassal calling from the other side. "Pardon me Lord Shingen, but Lord Kan has arrived to meet with you."
"Have him wait in the audience chamber...I'll be there in a moment." Shingen called, holding back a sigh.
"Yes, my lord."
As the vassal left, Shingen and I both sighed. He rested is brow against mine. "It is good to know you feel as bereft as I do at being interrupted." He said, smiling at me.
I returned the smile. "I'm always disappointed when that happens." I agreed. "You'd think I'd be used to this happening at this point."
Shingen laughed. "How about we continue tonight? We shouldn't be interrupted then."
"I like the sound of that." I agreed.
We shared a kiss before parting. "I'll see you tonight, my angel."
The next morning...
After having spent our evening making love, I woke up early, wrapped in Shingen's embrace. As usual he was already awake and hazing at me lovingly. "Good morning, my angel." He greeted me, kissing my forehead.
I smiled. "Good morning, my love." I replied stretching to kiss his lips.
"Nothing compares to the site of waking up to your beautiful face every morning." He told me.
"I enjoy waking up to your handsome face as well." I replied.
We stayed in bed for a bit longer, talking, sharing good morning kisses before Shingen let out a sigh. "We have a busy day today, we should get up and start getting ready."
I had almost forgotten that we had our trip today. Shingen had written to the Oda forces to arrange a meeting in a neutral territory so I could see my friends. "I know this isn't easy for you." I told him. "And I really appreciate you arranging this for me."
"I would do anything to make you happy." Shingen replied, kissing my forehead. "Seeing your smile is thanks enough."
We were getting out of bed and getting dressed. Breakfast was brought in for us and then we were getting ready for our trip. We exited the palace where I was surprised to see Yukimura waiting for us with Sasuke and three horses.
"I didn't expect to see you, Sasuke." I greeted him. "I'm surprised Kenshin let you go."
"I just finished up a scouting mission and decided to stop by for a visit." Sasuke answered. "And when I heard what was happening today, I decided to tag along. I hope you don't mind."
"Not at all." Shingen and I both said.
"What, are you two starting to share a brain now?" Yukimura teased.
"There you are!"
We all turned just then to see Asuna coming out of the palace, carrying a small parcel with her. "I knew you would try to leave without me." She said.
"I didn't even know you were coming." I replied.
"Well, I am here to look out for your health my la...I mean Ava." She said, catching herself about to be formal once again. I think I had finally gotten through to her on that front.
"You said that a short ride would be fine." Shingen replied.
"Yes, but I also have to make sure you guys take enough breaks and that she eats the proper amount and eats the proper foods." Asuna replied. "I can't have you plying her with nothing but sweets. That's bad for her and the baby."
"We've already got enough people going on this trip." Yukimura said. "And besides there aren't anymore horses ready."
"She can always ride with you, Yuki." Shingen spoke up. "Besides, she's right. It's best if she comes for Ava."
Yukimura groaned. "Women are such a pain."
We were all soon mounting up. I sat side saddle in front of Shingen, his arms around me. Asuna sat behind Yukimura, almost reluctantly wrapping her arms around him to help hold on. "Really?" He asked her.
"What do you expect? I have to hold on to something. I don't like this either you know."
"Then why are you even coming?"
"I already told you, to look out for Ava's health." She replied.
I looked up at Shingen. "You're doing it again aren't you?" I whispered, a smile on my face.
"I don't know what you're talking about." He said with a smile.
We were all soon taking off, heading out of Kai and into the forest. We were an hour and a half outside of Kai when Asuna announced we needed to take a break. Though I hadn't been feeling it, the moment I was down from the horse, i could feel how much I actually needed to stretch my legs. It was also then that my stomach let out a growl.
"It is a good thing I came along and brought this." Asuna said, reaching into the saddle bags and pulling out the bundle she had packed. She was then handing me some snacks. "Here you go Ava."
"Thank you." I said, taking the snack and eating it. It was simple rice balls, but they were the best I had tasted in a long time. "Oh my...these are delicious."
"I'd say that it's safe to say you're over the sickness if those taste that good to you." Asuna said, smiling.
"Yeah, you've no idea how happy I am to be over that part." I agreed.
Shingen smiled as he looked at me. "Now that you're eating well again, perhaps it won't be much longer before we finally see a little bump starting." He was then patting my belly in a loving way.
I smiled at him, my cheeks turning red. "You really are looking forward to seeing me super pregnant, aren't you?" I teased.
"I just think you're going to be so adorable." He replied, leaning over and kissing my cheek. "Well, even more so than you already are, though that seems impossible." He then leaned down and kissed my belly. "You just don't cause your mother any problems and keep being good from now on, okay."
I heard myself squee once again at Shingen talking to our baby.
"What the hell kind of sound was that?" Yukimura asked, looking at Shingen and me with almost disgust, but still a happy smile on his face.
Instantly my cheeks reddened. Before I could speak, Shingen was speaking. "Only one of the most adorable sounds." He said, smiling at me.
"I believe that was a she thought you were being adorable sound, Lord Shingen." Sasuke spoke up.
There was some more chatting and teasing to go around before we were mounting back up and continuing our journey. We took just one more break before continuing to the village. We arrived at a cozy inn. I went with Shingen to our room to freshen up a bit.
The inn keeper informed us that my friends were waiting for me in a small dining area with a feast. "Go enjoy yourself. I'll be here when you get back." He said, smiling at me, though I could see the slightly pained look in his eyes.
I wrapped my arms around him and rested my head against his chest. I felt his arms encircle me. I looked up at him. "I love you and I really appreciate you doing this for me." I stretched up and he met me part way for the kiss.
We shared a few more kisses before finally pulling apart. I then headed for the dining area. I took a breath before sliding the door open and walking inside. I was surprised and yet happy to see all of them there.
"Hey guys!" I greeted them, smiling brightly.
"There's our lass!" Masamune greeted in reply.
"It's really good to see you, Ava." Mitsunari greeted me.
"Yeah, even if all of this was a pain." Ieyasu agreed.
"I'm just glad to see you look well." Hideyoshi greeted, walking over to me and pulling me into a hug.
I was surprised for a moment and then hugged him back. "Thanks Hideyoshi."
"You better not be keeping the lass to yourself." Masamune said, coming over to hug me from behind.
"Oh are we doing a group hug?" Mitsunari asked, getting up to join in as well.
"No." Ieyasu said in his usual prickly tone.
"Oh yes we are." Masamune said, reaching over and pulling Ieyasu into the hug.
"It looks like you've pulled everyone to you, Ava." Mitsuhide said, his tone teasing, as he sat beside Nobunaga who had yet to say anything.
"Not everyone." I replied.
"Enough of this." Nobunaga said. "Let her breath."
The guys were then backing off, Hideyoshi had an almost sheepish look on his face. I smiled at all of them. "It's nice to know I was missed." I said.
"Come on have a seat." Masamune said. "I've made all this food. We can't let it go to waste."
I looked at the delicious spread, my mouth watering in anticipation. "Yes, Masamune's cooking!" I exclaimed, before digging in.
"The two Mitsu's take note, this is how you enjoy a proper meal." Masamune said, gesturing to me enthusiastically eating his food.
"It's delicious as always, Masamune." I complimented him. "Thank you...and thank you all for coming to see me."
"We were surprised to get a letter from the tiger requesting this meeting." Nobunaga said, eyeing me.
"We debated heavily for a while if it could be a trap." Mitsuhide added.
"Something seems different about you, Ava." Nobunaga said, looking at me.
"I agree." Mitsuhide said.
I was sitting between Nobunaga and Hideyoshi. Mitsuhide was across from me. I felt slight unease at having their gazes on me.
"She's still Ava." Hideyoshi said.
"Here, let me pour for you." Nobunaga said, holding up a bottle of sake and looking at me.
"While I would be honored, I have to say no thank you to the sake." I replied.
"You are turning down my offer?" Nobunaga said. "Very brave of you."
"Indeed." Mitsuhide replied. "Have you sworn off sake?"
"Only for a time." I answered.
The guys were all eyeing me suspiciously now. "The Tiger's letter said you had news you wanted to share with us." Nobunaga said. "Something he said he knew you would rather share in person instead of through your letters."
I nodded. "Yes, I have something very big and important."
"Please tell us it is that you're finally in your right mind and are leaving that playboy to come back home with us to Azuchi?" Hideyoshi asked, looking at me.
"I am in my right mind and have always been." I countered. "But no I am not leaving Shingen."
"Then what is the news?"
"Well, I know it might be something you guys aren't particularly thrilled about." I said. "Because it's good news not just for me but for Shingen...but I hope you can be happy because it's me."
"Out with it lass."
"Yes, don't keep us in suspense." Mitsuhide added.
"I'm...pregnant." I announced, smiling.
I heard jaws and chop sticks hitting the floor. Hideyoshi was next to me choking on his sake. The only ones who seemed un-phased were Nobunaga and Mitsuhide.
"That's wonderful news for you, Ava." Mitsunari was the first one to recover and was smiling angelically at me.
"Thank you, Mitsunari." I replied.
"No, it is not." Hideyoshi said. "That...that bastard."
I looked at him. "Hideyoshi?"
"First he takes you and now he impregnates you..."
"Hideyoshi, I can assure you I was a willing participant in the activities that led to this...very willing." I said. "And remember I did marry him, all my choice."
Hideyoshi sputtered for a moment and then sighed. "Well, you will be a good mother." He said, patting my head.
"Thank you."
"That explains why you were even more enthusiastic than normal about my food." Masamune said. "I hope he's feeding you well in Kai."
I laughed. "Of course, he is taking excellent care of me. Everyone is."
"I hope you have a good midwife." Ieyasu said.
"I do." I replied. I was then looking at Nobunaga and Mitsuhide. "You two seem like you're not surprised at all."
"You appear to have gained some weight." Mitsuhide said, his tone teasing. "It wasn't that hard to guess."
I glared at him. "You know, it's rude to comment on a woman's weight, right?"
"I figured it was only the next logical thing we would hear from you." Nobunaga said. "Besides, what else would make it dangerous to your health to travel far?"
"Is that what Shingen said in his letter?" I asked.
Nobunaga nodded and as he looked at me for a moment. "He did not tell you about writing to us?"
"He didn't tell me anything until last night." I answered. "He wanted to surprise me."
"I see." Nobunaga said.
There was something in his eyes as he looked at me. I couldn't quite tell what it was, but I also wasn't sure I wanted to know.
"Well, I think it's time we have a toast." Masamune said. "To Ava and congratulations, even if the baby is half Shingen, he's half you too. So we can celebrate that."
Everyone toasted and drank. The party continued on for a while. We all spent the time talking, laughing, joking, and catching up. It really warmed my heart to see them and made me happy that they could be happy for me despite me marrying their enemy.
Shingen...
Shortly after Ava left to see the Oda forces, Sasuke, Yukimura, and Asuna were joining him in the room. They had brought some food with them from a food stall in the village. "Here, I think given the circumstances you can have more than your allotment of sweets today." Yukimura said, setting a plate piled high with sweets in front of Shingen.
Shingen smiled at him. "Well, this is unexpected."
"I really don't get it." Asuna said, sitting down with her own tray. "You arranged for her to see the Oda forces? I mean I get that she's originally from their, being their princess and all, but..."
"She still cares for them." Shingen replied. "And I am the one who stole her away in the first place."
"I would have thought she knew that being with you would mean not seeing them again?" Asuna asked.
"You just don't understand Ava yet." Yukimura said. "I don't really either, but she doesn't see the world that way."
"It's true." Shingen replied. "She can't easily separate enemies and friends. She only sees everyone as people and cares openly for all of them." He was smiling as he spoke of his love. "One of the reasons I love her."
"It is because of where she and I are from." Sasuke said. "Our...hometown is different than here."
"Very different indeed." Shingen said, remembering his time in the modern world. "The Oda were the first ones to find Ava when she arrived here. They sheltered her and cared for her and she came to care for them in return. She can't just throw her feelings aside...nor can I deny her anything."
"You never worry that she's spying for them?" Asuna asked.
Yukimura laughed. "Ava...a spy? That's hilarious."
Shingen shook his head. "No. She is too pure for that. Too honest and open."
"She would make a terrible spy." Sasuke agreed.
"I have seen that." Asuna said, thinking of how open Ava had been with her whenever they talked. Her face gave everything away.
"She hopes for peace." Shingen said. "Something I fear we won't see in this time, but I can't help but to hope for it with her."
The group sat and chatted for a while longer, moving onto lighter subjects. Some of it was an effort on everyone's part to distract Shingen. They all knew that even though he had arranged this meeting for Ava, that he still didn't like it. Not just because it was the Oda, but because there was a part of him that didn't like how much these other men cared for Ava. Though Shingen could be a grown up about the situation, he still had the jealous feelings.
The others stayed quite a while, but left the room before Ava returned. "Trust me, none of want to be here when she gets back." Yukimura said.
"I can agree with that." Sasuke conquered.
"I've seen the way they look at each other, I have to agree." Asuna added.
"One of these days you three will be in love with someone and you'll understand." Shingen replied, smiling teasingly at the three younger people.
"Have a good night." Asuna said before she left wit Sasuke and Yukimura.
Ava...
After spending quite a while with my friends, I returned to the room in the inn Shingen and I were sharing for the evening. He was of course in the room waiting for me. He greeted me with a sexy smile. "There's my goddess."
I smiled as I walked over to him. "And I brought gifts." I said, holding up a tray of sweets I had taken from the feast Masamune had prepared.
Shingen smiled. "Those look delicious." He said.
I picked one up and offered it to him. "Then you should have one...they are really good."
Shingen opened his lips and allowed me to feed him. "That is quite delicious...however when I spoke earlier, I was referring to your lips." He said lifting his hand and hooking his fingers beneath my chin, tracing his thump over my lower lip.
"Oh?" I asked, giving him a coy smile. "Well, you're welcome to taste those as well."
Shingen took the invitation and drew my lips to his. He teased my lips open with his tongue before pushing past them and tangling his tongue with mine.
"Mnh..." I moaned into the kiss.
Shingen broke it. He then pulled me into his lap. I sat facing him, my legs wrapping around his waist. We were kissing again, our bodies pressing close. I wrapped my arms around him, feeling as though I couldn't get close enough.
Shingen pulled his lips from mine, only to trail kisses along my neck. "Shingen..." I gasped, as I felt him begin to suck and lick my neck.
"I know our deal was that I would mark you after...not during." He murmured into my neck. "But..."
It was then I recalled the deal we had made when I returned home from my first visit with the Oda in Azuchi. "It's alright." I said, pulling back to look into his eyes. "Go ahead...mark me. I am yours."
"You're too good to me." Shingen said returning to my neck to leave his mark.
"Make as many as...you want." I said, enjoying the feel of his lips and tongue on me. "Wherever you...want."
Shingen pulled back to look at me. There was a heat in his gaze that sparked an answering fire in me. "What a troublesome princess I have...you keep saying things like that...and I won't be able to hold back my passion for you."
"Then...don't."
Shingen was capturing my lips in a passionate kiss. As we continued to kiss, he slid his hand up my thigh, his fingers going to caress where I was hottest for him. I pulled from the kiss, m back arching in pleasure as I cried out his name.
He kissed down my throat and over the exposed part of my chest. My kimono has become quite disheveled and was falling off of one shoulder. Shingen continued to kiss over my neck and my shoulder, as his fingers stimulated me.
I rode out the wave of ecstasy that washed over me, writhing in his arms, under his skillful touch. He withdrew his fingers from me only to finish disrobing me before lying me back on the futon. He was then kissing down my body, using his lips and tongue to bring me more heat.
He reached my thighs and ravished them in kisses before going back up to that most sensitive spot. I felt his tongue as he lapped at my inner most heat and hit all of those sensitive nerves. That was it, I was completely undone, lost in the pleasure my husband brought me. My hands reached down and tangled in his hair as I cried out his name again and again.
"Ah...Shin...gen!"
After sometime Shingen withdrew from me, looking at me, his own gaze as heated as mine. He was then kissing back up my body. "Ava...I love you." He whispered over my skin.
"I love...you...Shingen." I replied, breathlessly.
He was then slipping his hips between my legs. I lifted my own to meet him, wanting him in me as soon as possible. I met each of his thrusts with my own bucking hips. He held me close and I could hear every gasp and moan that came from him, his pleasure only adding to mine as t washed over me. We crashed over that final wave of ecstasy together before he fell in the futon beside me, gathering me up in his arms and holding me close.
We were both breathing heavy. I snuggled closer to him, breathing in his masculine scent. "How is it always so...amazing every time?" I asked.
I felt Shingen's chest rumble as he chuckled warmly. He then took my hand and brought it to his lips, placing a gentle kiss there. "Because I love you and I only want to please my beautiful angel." He answered.
I smiled up at him. "Well, you do an excellent job at it." I said. "And not just in bed either, but in our every day life together. You always do so much for me."
"Says the woman who has saved me and made every single one of my dreams come true." He replied. "I got so tangled up in you, I forgot to ask, how did they take the news?"
"What? You didn't hear their jaws dropping in here?" I teased.
"I thought I heard something, but I wasn't sure." Shingen replied.
"Most of them were shocked at first, but once they recovered they congratulated me. Told me they thought I would be a good mother." I replied.
"So they were happy for you then?"
"Well, Hideyoshi wasn't at least at first."
"Really?"
"He called you a bastard."
Shingen laughed. "Still bitter about me taking you in the first place, I see?"
"Something like that." I agreed. "Though I did assure him that I was very willing in conceiving this baby. I also reminded him that I married you and everything has been my choice."
"I would have liked to have seen the look on his face." Shingen said, his tone amused.
"I wish you could have been there." I said. "I know why you couldn't be, but I still wish it."
Shingen lifted a hand and stroked my hair. "I wish I could have been with you as well." He said. "I am glad you were able to have a good time, though."
"Not nearly as good a time as coming back to you is." I replied.
Shingen chuckled again. "You keep saying things like that and I'll have to do it all over again."
"You will get no protests from me." I replied, cheekily.
"Well, if that's the case." Shingen said, rolling us over so that he was once again over me.
I giggled as I looked up at him. Before I could say anything, his lips were on mine and we were melting together once more.
Later...
Ava had fallen asleep in Shingen's arms. Silver moonlight came in through the screen door, limning her sleeping face. He couldn't help but to think of how beautiful she looked. He placed a gentle kiss on her forehead, careful not to wake her.
It was then that he noticed a shadow come over them. He looked up and saw a figure standing on the other side of the screen. The figure turned and sat down on the porch just outside of their room. Shingen had a feeling he knew who it was.
Shingen untangled himself from Ava, but made sure that the heavy futon cover was pulled over her to keep her warm. Shingen slipped on his robes and walked outside. He found Nobunaga sitting on the porch, looking up at the night sky.
"Were we a little too loud?" Shingen asked, unable to help himself from goading Nobunaga a bit.
"Be careful with your words. You're already on my bad side." Nobunaga replied.
"I am always careful with my words." Shingen replied. "You're the one who came to the room I am sharing with my wife."
"She was my chatelaine first." Nobunaga countered. "Until you stole her from me."
"I would apologize, but then I would be lying." Shingen replied. "What are you doing here? What is it you want Devil King?"
"Just to say you had better take care of her." Nobunaga replied.
Shingen lifted a brow at Nobunaga. "That was not what I expected."
"I was not finished." Nobunaga replied. "You had better take care of her. If you do not, I will have to steal her back...I'd even care for the child."
"Just as I thought." Shingen said. "A line to take my place if I ever slip up."
Nobunaga stood up. "That is all I came to say." He was then walking back to his room, which happened to be next door. When he reached the door, he turned to Shingen once again. "Also, I hope it's a girl."
Shingen smiled. "That is exactly what I am hoping for."
Nobunaga let out an unintelligible noise before opening the door and walking into his room. Shingen stood there for a moment, turning his gaze to the sky. He then turned and headed back in the room, slipping back under the heavy futon cover and pulling Ava into his arms.
"Shin...gen..." She muttered in her sleep, snuggling closer, almost nuzzling his chest.
Shingen smiled. "My sweet angel." He whispered. "Dreaming of me? If only I knew exactly what was happening in those dreams." He stroked her hair softly and kissed the top of her head. He snuggled her closer before joining her in the land of dreams.

Hi hi, love! ❤😊Thank you so much for the request! And sorry for taking 2 million years to get to this lol! I hope you enjoy this dear and I hope you have a super good day!❤🌻 @x-jodi-x
Headcanon: MC with twin sister feat: Nobunaga, Hideyoshi, Yukimura, Arthur and Isaac
Nobunaga
When Nobunga found out you had a twin sister he was shook ◉_◉
In his books siblings, or well families for that matter, was not to be trusted
(;一_一)
But then you told him all about your twin sister and what a good relationship you had with her and that you missed her so much (>﹏<)
And as if the universe heard your prayer
Low and behold the wormhole picked up your sister and dropped he off at the gates of the castle 。◕‿◕。
She walked in easily and was super confused at everyone addressing her as “princess.” (^^ゞ
That’s when she spotted you walking down the hallway (≧▽≦)
She legit sprinted to your side and tackled you in a hug \(^o^)/
Cue Nobunaga walking out of the council room
Whhhhhaaaaat ⊙△⊙
How are there two of you (゚□゚*川
He keenly examined both of you and grabbed you by your hand to pull you away from your sister in a tight embrace  ༼ つ ◕_◕ ༽つ
Be gone imposter (┛ಠДಠ)┛彡┻━┻
“Oi listen here you demanding little brat..” your sister legit took your hand to pull you back into her embrace (ง'̀-'́)ง
“If you want my sister, you are going to have to go through me, we were parted once, and I’m sure as hell, not ganna be parted from her again”
(/‵Д′)/~ ╧╧
Your twin and Nobunaga had an intense staring contest (¬_¬)
Finally, you broke the silence and cleared up the misunderstanding, reminding Nobunaga of the conversation you had had with him about your twin
And then you turned to your sister and introduced her to your devil king boyfriend (◠‿◠✿)
She legit looked him up and down suspiciously, “You sure this one makes you happy, cause I saw a cutie with a beauty mark under his eye as I was wandering around..” (;一_一)
At the sight of your beamingly happy face your sister  reluctantly gave you her blessing ¬_¬
But that by no means met she let Nobunaga completely off the hook
The two of them would bicker all of the freaken time and 100% compete for your attention
Even though Nobunaga and your sister fought like cats and dogs, Nobunaga still felt it only right to ask he permission to marry you
One day he stomped up to your sister’s room, while you were out in the markets helping Mitsunari |*▼皿▼)
“So you want to marry my sister, and what makes you think you are good enough to marry my sweet cute sis, huh?” (≖︿≖✿)
That is when Nobunaga told your sister everything that he loved about you while wearing the most gentle of smiles (◕▿◕✿)
“Fine, you can marry her… if you beat me in a shoot of” (¬‿¬)
And your sister and Nobunaga shook hands and sought out Mitsuhide to have a shoot-off, naturally your sister won (Which low key impressed Mitsuhide big time)
̿̿ ̿̿ ̿̿ ̿'̿'\̵͇̿̿\з= ( ▀ ͜͞ʖ▀) =ε/̵͇̿̿/’̿’̿ ̿ ̿̿ ̿̿ ̿̿
Your sister took one look at Nobungaga and knew he truly did love you so she smacked him on the back and said with a huge smirk, “Welcome to the family Nobungaga, just remember if you break my sister’s heart, I will break your face.” (◠‿◠✿)
Nobungaga smiled his devilish smirk, perhaps families and siblings genuinely aren’t that bad
Yukimura
Both you and your sister had travelled back in time together
You sister was shyer and more reserved, so she spent more time reading with Ieyasu, Mitsuhide and Mitsunari (✿◠‿◠)
While you would explore the markets and go on adventures with Masamune and Hideyoshi (◕▿◕✿)
You had taken a liking to a certain boyish merchant and soon the two of you were in a relationship
You had told Yukimura that you had a sister but forgot to mention that she was your identical twin
(ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧ ✧゚・: *ヽ(◕ヮ◕ヽ)
After gushing about Yukimura to your sister, she was intrigued at the type of man who could make her beloved sister so happy and wanted to meet him
The two of you walked around the markets together when you caught a glimpse of Sasuke (◕‿◕✿)
The two of you stopped and chatted with the ninja
That’s when Yukimura spotted you (˶◕‿◕˶✿)
He rubbed his eyes cause he thought he was seeing doubles (*ノω-)
The closer he got, the more his confusion grew ◉_◉
He tapped you on the shoulder and both you and your sister turned around at the same time (。◕‿‿◕。)
“Witchcraft!” (ʘ言ʘ╬)
Yuki backed away, slowly, pulling your sister into his arms, “Dummy, quick let’s run, it seems like an evil enchantress has stolen your appearance.”
(∩╹□╹∩)
Just then your sister flicked Yuki on the forehead, and when he looked into your sister’s eyes, he realized that she was most definitely not you
(゚□゚*川
Meanwhile, you and Sasuke were laughing at the fact that Yuki couldn’t tell the two of you apart (≧y≦*)☜(˚▽˚)☞
That’s when you stepped forward to gently cup Yuki’s cheeks in your small hands, “Oi calm down, I’m right here, and this isn’t witchcraft, she is my sister.” (。◕‿◕。)
Yuki looked at your sister and then back at you, and then at your sister again, and let out a long sigh ◑.◑
He then smiled his boyish smile, “why didn’t you just say so, geez you almost gave me a heart attack, I thought your sister was some evil witch. I’m so relieved to hear she is actually a good witch.”  (◠‿◠✿)
“Hey, I’m not a witch you.. you… idiot,” your sister pouted, and you laughed at the awkward Yuki, now blushing from embarrassment
┐(-。ー;)┌
“yeah yeah, and this dummy here isn’t a wild boar, geez your family sure is weird.” ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Cue both you and your sister smacking him, “You’re the weird one.”
After the initial shock Yuki actually really liked your sister
He low key adopted her as his little sister, even though you were the same age
(ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧ ✧゚・: *ヽ(◕ヮ◕ヽ)
He legit low key still thinks she is an enchantress even after you explained that you are twins
Hideyoshi
You and Hideyoshi had been in a relationship for a while now but lately, you had seemed slightly down  (ノ﹏ヽ)
You simply told him that you were missing your sister and that you were worried about her
。゚・(>﹏<)・゚。
You sister was also sent back in time, unbeknown to you, but somehow arrived in the past a year earlier than you.
She had saved Kenshin’s life and was living with Sasuke in Kasugayama Castle (ㅇㅅㅇ❀)
Just as you had found love in the Sengoku period, so had your sister falling head over heels for the bunny warlord himself (⁎˃ᆺ˂)
War was on the horizon and one morning during war council, Nobunaga had declared that his lucky charm would accompany him to the battlefield.
(▀̿Ĺ̯▀̿ ̿)
You usually helped the rear guard with cooking and treating the wounded soldiers
(ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧
Hideyoshi accompanied his lord in the front lines when he spotted a familiar face riding beside Kenshin (◯Δ◯∥)
Your name slipped from his lips
He rode full speed towards the woman riding beside the God of war
He yelled your name and your sister looked at him curiously, just how on earth did this random man know your name (゚□゚*川
Before she could question it, the Uesugi forces pulled back for the evening and went back to camp (◕ㅅ◕✿)
The tide of war was turning as new information of Kennyo’s involvement had been discovered
So naturally, the Oda and Uesugi forces formed a temporary alliance, and that’s when it happened
You were out with Ieyasu collecting some herbs ~(˘▾˘~)
Kenshin and your sister had just entered into the Oda camp and at the sight of your sister, Hideyoshi ran towards her and pulled her into a hug
༼ つ ◕_◕ ༽つ
“How many times have I told you not to go wandering off in the middle of the war, and just what do you think you are doing with the God of war.”
ಠ_ಠ
“Hey, I think there is some misunderstanding,” Your sister gently pushed Hideyoshi away as Kenshin was now ready to cut the mama bear down
(┛◉Д◉)┛彡┻━┻
Hideyoshi’s eyes widened in confusion, he looked between her and Kenshin, as your sister retreated into his arms
♡。゚.(*♡´‿` 人´‿` ♡*)゚♡ °・
Hideyoshi felt his heart break in two, “Tell me this isn’t true, I thought you loved me” he chocked out  (ಥ_ʖಥ)
“Dude I don’t even know you..”  ┐( ͡° ʖ̯ ͡°)┌
Just then you appeared out of nowhere carrying a bunch of flowers (◕‿◕✿)
“Hey Yoshi look at all these pretty flowers I found, while Yasu and I were out collecting herbs” you placed your hand on Hideyoshi’s shoulder as you walked closer your way to the group (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧
Cue Yoshi being hella confused  (ʘᗩʘ’)
As you got closer, you spotted your sister and instantly dropped the flowers and tackled her in a tight hug (╯°□°)╯︵( .o.)
Cue error.exe Kenshin & Hideyoshi
=( ̄□ ̄;)⇒
After a few moments, Kenshin simply smiled at you, as your sister had been talking non-stop about you (。◕‿◕。)
while Hideyoshi just stood there frozen( ̄□||||
There were two of you, how was that possible
When he finally processed the information before him, he bowed his head and apologized profusely to your sister, “OwO ahh him so sorry, i-I didn't realize-“
Your sister was super chilled and just smiled at him, “it’s all good, people used to mistake us for each other all the time!” 。◕‿◕。
Definitely lets you spend lots of time with your sister while the Oda forces are in the alliance
He will legit mama bear the shit outta your sister while the two forces are in an alliance, much to Kenshin's displeasure (¬_¬)
He instantly adopts, and sister zones your sister
Even after the war is over, he will invite her to visit the two of you, even putting his differences aside with the God of war
Anything to make you happy
Is super happy to have met a member of your family and loves it when your sister tells a bunch of embarrassing stories about you when you were little (◕▿◕✿)
Arthur
Ohhhhooohhh Arthur is definitely excited to have two pretty little skirts around to chase (◕▿◕✿)
Will flirt mercilessly with both of you, to which both of you just scoff and walk away
(;一_一) (¬_¬)
As you get to know the real Arthur a little bit better, you can’t help but fall in love with him (◠‿◠✿)
Much to your sister’s disproval ب_ب
She legit marched he way up to the playboy’s room the second you told her that the two of you were dating, to find out his intentions
(ノಠдಠ)ノ︵┻━┻
“Tell me sherlock wanna be, what exactly are your intentions with my sister.”    (ノಠдಠ)ノ
Arthur was sister shook, your sister was honestly hella intimidating, “i-I assure you I have no ill intent towards my dearest little bird,” Arthur gave your sister a nervous smile (◕‸ ◕✿)
Your sister simply narrowed her eyes at him, “If you break her heart, you will wish you were never born when I’m done with you,” after a final threat your sister gave him a chilling smile and left (≖︿≖✿)
God, she was frightening (゚ω゚;)
After that Arthur tried to spend time doing 3 people activities to get to know your sister a bit better and to prove that he truly did love you
(▰˘◡˘▰)
“Come on, Arthur is not such a bad guy, yeah he’s got a past, but he also has a cute dog, and no one with a dog is super bad” 。◕‿◕。
Arthur would often invite the two of you out with him to solve cases, something which all three of you actually really enjoyed ( ಠ ͜ʖರೃ)
As time went on your sister started to accept Arthur as part of the family, plus you were right, Vic was the sweetest dog in the whole world, no way such a sweet dog would hang around a crappy owner | (• ◡•)| (❍ᴥ❍ʋ)
You and your sister would often prank the residents by pretending to be each other 。◕‿‿◕。
But it honestly never worked on Arthur as he could instantly tell which twin was which
 (°ロ°)☝
One day your twin came walking into his room in an attempt to fool him
Arthur simply smiled up at her, and walked over to the coach, which you were hiding behind
“Found you Luv, did you really think I wouldn’t be able to tell the love of my life apart from her sister,” he would then shower your face with kisses
(~ ̄³ ̄)~
“Ewww affection, could you guys like not do that in front of me! That’s it, I’m outta here, common Vic lets go see if Napoleon has finished those pancakes yet,” ≧☉_☉≦
Arthur would definitely get jelly sometimes with the amount of time you spend with your sister, and can’t help but whisk you away to have you all for himself  (>^_^)><(^o^<)
Isaac
The first time both you and your sister arrive at the mansion you can’t help but want to befriend the physicist ≧☉_☉≦
Although the only problem was, that both of you were shy little hedgehogs and were rather awkward when it came to human interaction
(⁎˃ᆺ˂)
That’s where your sister comes in
Out of the two of you, she had always been the more outgoing one (◕▿◕✿)
After watching you and Isaac dance around each other for the better part of a few weeks, your sister decided to team up with Napoleons
And so operation GET SHY CINNAROLLS TOGETHER was created
(☞゚ヮ゚)☞ ☜(゚ヮ゚☜)
Napoleon had left some of Harry the hedgehog’s favourite food down in the wine cellar, which caused harry to naturally, stray from Isaacs room to nibble up his fav snacks  V✪ω✪V
While Napoleon worked on getting Isaac into position, your sister had handed you the new shipment of wine to be placed in the cellar
You made your way to the dark cellar only to stumble upon Isaac on the floor reaching under one of the shelves ಠ╭╮ಠ
“Oh I-I-Isaac, what are you doing down here” you shyly asked as Isaac sat up and looked down at the ground sheepishly (*^_^*)
“My hedgehog, got himself stuck under the shelves and I can’t seem to quite reach him.”
(〃 ̄ω ̄〃ゞ
You gave him a timid smile and sat beside him reaching your arm beneath the shelf to retrieve the hedgehog (◕‿◕✿)
You handled the little critter to Isaac and the two of you started chatting about your mutual love for animals
All while unbeknown to the both of you, your sister and Napoleon watched from the doorway high fiving each other at a job well-done
  ヘ( ^o^)ノ\(^_^ )
It wasn’t long before you and Isaac was in a relationship  (/^-^(^ ^*)/
Honestly, this boy could easily tell you apart from your sister
Isaac was more of an observer than a talker due to his shy nature so he noticed even the smallest of details about you   (´∩。• ᵕ •。∩`) ♡
Hehe, he is super awkward around your sister, but tries to get to know her a little better by spending time with both of you
The three of you actually help out together at Napo’s school
(ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧ ✧゚・: *ヽ(◕ヮ◕ヽ)
Isaac is a little bit of a jealous boy and will get pouty if you are spending too much time with your sister and neglecting him (◕ω◕✿)
But never fear, one hug and kiss from you is enough to bring his cute blushy smile back to his face (づ。◕‿‿◕。)づ
Your sister loves ganging up with Arthur and Dazai to tease Isaac
Isaac low key sees your twin sister as an older sister figure, and will go to her for advice whenever he wants to surprise you with a fun date or thoughtful gift ✿◕ ‿ ◕✿
I hope you enjoyed this, dear! and I hope you have a super good day! 🌼❤🌻

A Tale of Foxes
This is a story I started almost 2 years ago and never finished it. I will start uploading the chapters and continue to finish this journey. Not sure yet which path I will take but I’m confident that it’ll lead us somewhere! I hope you’ll enjoy this as much as I do ☆〜(ゝ。∂)
[Akechi Mitsuhide x Reader] [word count: 3393]
Tumblr media
A Kitsune’s Wife
On the back of Hideyoshi’s horse I struggled against the bonds around my wrists, in vain. I tried to scream but thanks to the silk in my mouth all that came out were weird gagging sounds. When his horse fell in a slow canter and the merciless edges of his saddle started to bounce against my stomach I sent a prayer to the heavens. I heard a brazen clang and our short ride came to an abrupt, unpleasant halt. From my angle on the horse I assumed we stopped right in front of the castle gates.
“No further moving!”
I knew that voice, a deep rich tenor.
“What do you think you’re doing?!”
Sonorous, embraced in raging fires. I had never heard him enraged before. My captor turned his horse, securing me with one hand. The mix of confusion, panic and the lack of proper sight made me feel nauseous. I fought it, trying to analyze the situation as best as possible.
“I’m taking the princess back to Azuchi, she is the safest with our lord. You should know that!”
“You aren’t going to take her anywhere.”
His gunmetal voice echoed through the silent castle walls and then I heard it. The snap of a matchlock rifle. In the corner of my eyes I saw Hideyoshi's hand moving to the handle of his sword, it trembled ever so slightly. I tensed, he couldn’t possibly draw it without cutting my neck. I felt his eyes on me, he inhaled starting a sentence but was cut short.
“For all I care, call it betrayal, start a war I don’t know. But no one, neither you Toyotomi Hideyoshi, nor Oda Nobunaga are going to take my wife away.”
Mitsuhide spit his words poisonously but with so much passion I had never heard in him before. Usually, he was collected and cunning, keeping his cool at the most dangerous times striking at the most unexpected moments. The best course of action would have been for me to be taken away. No one would harm me, he could come back and claim me. He should have known that just as much as I did.
Suddenly, it clicked. I remembered the conversation we previously had right after Hideyoshi’s arrival. I was standing on the engawa to the inner gardens, biting my lip. I saw my teary reflection in his unusual remorseful eyes.
“I’m so sick of it, you all treat me like a pet, like some kind of property. You keep me in a cage, a broad cage where I’m far enough to not be seen, sometimes giving me the illusion of being free but not wide enough to actually stray.” “You are no one’s property.” He kneeled in front of me taking my clenched fist softly easing my fingers. Then he leaned his forehead against my hand. “The day we married I promised to devote myself to you princess, remember? I swore to protect you and all that is important to you. Therefore, I will protect your freedom. You will only belong to yourself and the only cage you will ever have shall be my arms.”
As the pieces finally fell into place a hot rush rolled over me. My chest was tight and I felt a rare warmth coiling inside me. Silly man, right now was absolutely not the right time for playing the devoted husband. The stability of the whole country was at stake, yet it made me strangely happy. Straining every fiber I was able to raise my upper body without falling off the horse. What I saw fueled my darkest fears. Mitsuhide held Hideyoshi at gunpoint. Our gazes met. I was sure, without a doubt Mistuhide would shoot Hideyoshi. I tried to speak but my voice was still muffled. I bucked up while wrestling my hands against the rope around my hands. Forcefully, Hideyoshi held me down and I felt a sharp pain grazing my wrists. I had to get down and talk them out of it. I needed to stop this.
Without a warning, my captor’s mare suddenly got anxious and started to hoof back and forth. That was my chance. I dashed backwards, toppling over the horse. With a rough thud my back hit the dirty floor. Oxygen was pressed out of my lungs and for a second I was not able to breathe. In the blink of an eye one of Mitsuhide’s men was there, helping me off the ground and untying me. My arms, which got most of the impact, hurt and I had trouble moving my wrists without flinching but I had bigger problems at hand right now. Mitsuhide was still aiming his gun at an aghast Hideyoshi, both were fixed on me. My heart was racing and my mind ran haywire, still, I tried to keep my composure. I raised my hands to both parties.
“Hold on for a second, will you.”
I gave my words as much authority as I was able to.
“No one is going to die within my castle walls and no one is going to get hurt, did I make myself clear.”
Which was a ridiculous thing to say considering that I had just hurt myself the most. The atmosphere was still tense and it was pretty obvious that neither of them was willing to give in. The ever so dedicated Hideyoshi was about to fulfill a mission given by his divine lord Nobunaga and my husband was ready to show to which lengths he would go for his devotion. Mitsuhide killing my brother’s most trusted vassal, while being on a mission to get me back given by the head of the Oda would definitely be seen as a rebellion against their lord. If they would really start a fight it would not just be some border skirmishes, Mitsuhide had a vast net of allies himself, this could turn into a real war. Being confident in myself and having faith in Mitsuhide I made the most reasonable choice.
“I will go back to Azuchi with lord Hideyoshi. This decision is my own and I will ride on my own horse. I will wait there until my husband has finished his business. I expect my brother will show me his hospitality and I will stay inside the castle, so I am looking forward to my husband's return.”
Mitsuhide made a sound somewhere between a huff and a sharp inhale. I didn’t even need to see his expression to tell that he was absolutely dissatisfied with my decision. Ignoring Hideyoshi, my feet carried me towards Mitsuhide on their own. His golden orbs pierced through me, inside them was a blustering beast and it was my duty to tame it. I gave him an apologetic smile. He still didn’t budge. I put my hand over his, gently lowering the rifle.
“You can put that down now, there is no need to shoot him.”
He searched my face.
“He tried to kidnap you and he hurt you, there is every need to shoot him.”
“I know, but there is so much more at risk right now. It’s not worth it, there are so many things more important than this and you know that.”
I cupped his cheek with my free hand and immediately felt him ease into my touch.
“To me, there is nothing more important than you.”
The warmth inside me rose again, lighting a fire I didn’t feel before. My cheeks flushed and I saw Mitsuhide's signature teasing grin. At that moment I didn’t mind it at all. I got on my toes, leaning in until our foreheads touched. Our breaths mingled.
“Thank you, for thinking that way. Still, there is no need to go at war for me because I believe in you. I believe, wherever I go you will come and get me, wherever I wander you will come and find me. My only border is you.”
Closing my eyes, I felt Mistuhide’s arm wrapping around me. We shared our warmth.
“That lucky bastard.”
Mitsuhide's laugh tickled against my skin.
“He should be grateful that my wife is as powerful and smart as she is pretty.”

How about headcanons of the warlords with a superstitions MC? Like opening a umbrella indoors or break a mirror 13 years of bad luck. See a penny pick it up and crossing your fingers for something good to happen. Oda Forces please. Thank you!
so i had to google some superstition things and i picked a few (not sure if some of these count but i hope [and like most of them tie with luck?? i mean ig makes Sense]) so here ya go:
—nobunaga:
nobunaga is known more or less for being ruthless. such is a fact you learnt since history class back in school.
it was another assassination attempt (it’s become a part of the monthly, if not weekly, experience for you), and as any other time, nobunaga deflected it easily. the ronin, upon seeing he couldn’t so much as land a hit on his target, set his eyes on you.
he lunged, the tip of the sword aiming for your head. nobunaga quickly caught it, pushing the blade off with his own. and in that process, accidentally shattering a mirror behind you.
soon after all that, the ronin was taken away to the dungeons, and nobunaga’s gone to hugging you protectively in his tenshu. a frown was etched on your brows, he noticed. his grip grew tighter.
“why does your expression look troubled, fireball?” he asks, leaning into you slightly. you sigh in return, “you broke a mirror.”
now, he was confused. you never expressed a fondness to said mirror, and while yes, you’re sometimes upset when items are broken, you get over them quickly.
“and why does it bother you so?”
you turn around, your face facing his. “there’s a belief that if you break a mirror, you’ll be cursed with bad luck for years.” seeing his expression turn into slight confusion, you explained further, “it’s said that a piece of your soul is held in a mirror, and if you break it—”
before you could finish, you were suddenly falling on the floor, with nobunaga under you as a cushion. a smirk was the first thing that caught your eye.
he finds it rather amusing, you were less mulling about the near death experience and more of a supernatural belief.
“even if that were to happen, my lucky charm will surely ward them off.”
—hideyoshi:
a battle was coming near. and as any other time, you came as support. it wasn’t as dramatic or dangerous as previous ones, you’d be there for hideyoshi (no matter how much he insists otherwise).
you kept yourself at camp, tending to the injured. during the afternoons where hideyoshi wasn’t fighting along side his lord, he’d be by yours.
a messenger came, and you couldn’t help but tense up. by instinct, you crossed your fingers and hoped for good luck. surely, it was, and you could slump your shoulders in relief.
hideyoshi noticed this small tendency, even before you started dating. the way your lips pursed slightly as your fingers crossed, a slightly pleading look in your eyes. and he’s always just a bit confused.
“why do you always. . .do that?”
you look at him confusedly, not sure what he’s reffering to, “do what?”
he mimics your fingers just moments before, and you emit a small ‘ohh’.
“well, i guess it’s a bit of a prayer? there’s a belief that if you cross your fingers, good luck will be granted.”
oh, so it’s a bit of a religious thing, he thought, and understood. he starts to pick up each time you were a bit worried and wished for a bit of good luck by doing it, and would comfort you either in the moment, or afterwards.
actually—he starts picking it up too after a while.
in camp, or a warlord council meeting, he’ll unconsciously cross his fingers.
and, in the event he proposes to you. . .he’ll definitely do it too ♥
—mitsuhide:
since sengoku japanese was a bit different than modern japanese, mitsuhide had taught you language as well.
it was a test, one that can be classified about 5th grade elementary level? around that. you’d done pretty great, it was mostly on writing the letters that tripped you up, but you were faring well.
and, as per mitsuhide’s own method, he had you do a spoken part afterwards. again, you breezed through well enough.
“well then,” he stacked the papers to an orderly pile, “let’s do a bonus question, for ‘extra points’ if you will.”
you started sweating, cause mitsuhide can absolutely be a devil and ruin your score by asking one out of left field. but to your relief, it was just,, counting, apparently.
“one, two, three, five, six, eight, ten—”
“little mouse,” he cut you off, “it seems some numbers escaped from those.”
oops. you forgot, and reflex took over, skipping over the numbers four, seven, and nine. and although the other pronounciations were used more often (yon, nana,) you still avoided them.
“oh, uhm, right—!” and so you redid your countings with those pronounciations.
he did ask you well, more of tease but it led to the same explanation about it afterwards. you just huffed— “well, it’s said that it brings bad luck you know!”
“oh, and what is it little mouse?”
he asks in a more teasing manner, but he didn’t expect you to actually answer seriously. “well, the pronounciation for four, seven and nine are homonyms for ‘death’ and ‘suffering’, for four and seven respectively. and nine’s said to be a homonym for ‘hostage’, i think?”
he’s amused—you’re as silly as ever. and he wouldn’t have it any other way. in fact, new teasing material!
—masamune:
summer rolled around soon, and holy hell is it hot out there. while you spent most of your days inside, sometimes you have to go to the market too, y’know? and so to help through with the heat, you ordered two paper umbrellas that a fellow friend who worked in the castle had a business of. it was a delivery order, so you told her to drop it off at masamune’s manor.
and it came around when the sun began to set. you admired the fabric used while masamune looked in the background.
“‘ey lass, how about we test it?”
upon his suggestion, you just chuckled a bit uneasily. you believed that opening an umbrella indoors would cause bad luck—and also the fact that masamune could absolutely wreak havoc with just that.
“eh, it’s fine.” you waved it off, setting the thing on the table, “we can use it in the day when the sun’s ou—”
before you could finish your sentence, masamune reached for the umbrella ordered for him, and opened it quick.
“—! masamune—!” you yelled out, watching as he sways the thing around like a child would with a toy.
after a tiresome chase, you managed to have him put the umbrella down and gave him a stern talking, with slight anxiety in your eyes.
“lass, since when did you become hideyoshi? it’s nothin’ big.” he says with a wide grin.
“it brings bad luck you know!”
at your argument, his interest peaked with an arch of his eyebrows, “oh, does it now?”
his tone was more of teasing, excitement also, but you just huffed and nodded, “yeah! it’s said that if you open an umbrella indoors, it’ll bring bad luck.”
he accepts your belief without so much as a question why, but it definitely becomes another source for chaos and teasing from him.
—ieyasu:
you’ve always been fond of cats. given the chance, you would absolutely stop and pet one on the way to somewhere. even so, you held the belief that black cats brought bad luck. due to those two clashing factors, you’d just sigh at your (future) misfortune but still stop to pet it.
such is the case when you find a stray black cat in the garden.
ieyasu was with you when you first spot it, and heard your small ‘aww’, one not in response to its cuteness, but more of. . .disappointment, he supposed.
still, you went and pet it, with your lover trailing behind and watching you silently. he reveled in the sight of his dearest playing with a cat in such a loving manner.
and soon, you had to go back as the sun was setting to ieyasu’s manor. while settling for the night, you couldn’t help but slip something, “it’s a bit of a shame we ran into that cat.”
“what do you mean?”
“oh yeah!” you realized that such superstitions most likely didn’t exist, so you explained, “there’s a belief that if you come across a black cat, you’ll be cursed with bad luck.”
“. . .and you believe it?”  /  “yeah,,?”
he went silent for a moment, then all he did was chuckle, pulling you closer in his arms, “you silly girl.”
—mitsunari:
it was hard enough to get mitsunari to commit ‘actually fulfilling your Needs’. it was already enough to snap him out of his reading trance, more so telling him gently that even though he he’s “not hungry”, his body needs to eat.
and even then, it’s easy to see that he doesn’t have the,, best eating manners. his movement’s always hurried. as if he could absolutely not spend another second eating, just to get back to reading. and such, it’s most definitely lackluster.
he doesn’t notice it, but you do.
so when one day, when he leaves his meal with his chopsticks facing up, you flipped. you pulled mitsunari before he got into his reading trance, and practically lectured him like how hideyoshi would.
meanwhile, mitsunari’s very confused. he already forgot how he put his chopsticks when he left it. he looked back to his bowl, it was facing up, with the tips dug into the rice.
“forgive me, but i don’t think i understand?”
you pursed your lips and tried to explain it to him. “well, putting your chopsticks up is very rude cause it’s used in funerals—”
despite it being a small thing you believed in, mitsunari listened in as close as possible. it’s like his trance, but verbally.
the moment you finish, he’s slightly berating himself in his mind. seeing the small hesitancy in his eyes, you quickly reassure him it’s fine, it’s just something you deeply believe in and he didn’t know, all the likes.
he nods, he doesn’t comment anything about it. instead, he keeps it in mind each time he eats. he always sets his chopsticks down properly, and in fact, learns and executes a few table manners! hideyoshi is slightly relieved, but masamune won’t stop lecturing him to ‘savor the flavor’.
—ranmaru:
in your days off with ranmaru, the two of you spend it mostly by going in town and, more often than not, snacking on some sweets at a teahouse (and by some, it’s enough to drain your earns for the week).
because of this, hideyoshi told you two to basically go and take a walk, y’know, commit Health(^TM). and by your own suggestion, you ventured to the outskirts of azuchi forest during the breezy noon.
while just looking around, you noticed a glint in the dirt. brushing it away with your fingers, you call ranmaru over, “hey, i found something!”
he came with hopped steps, leaning to you. you pull up a small gold coin, probably lost from a traveler. he gasps like a sweet child, “treasure! but should we take it? does it count as stealing?”
you thought about it, and shrugged, “it’s a pretty small amount to lose,” you stood up, brushing your kimono, “besides, do you know that picking pennies up can bring you good luck?”
(”what’s a penny?”  /  “oh, uh—a synonym for coin, is all.”)
ranmaru’s eyes fill with stars of child-like wonder, “really?”
you smiled innocently, his infectious bright mood spreading over to you, “yep. there’s a saying from my,, hometown that goes, ‘find a penny, pick it up and all day long, you’ll have good luck’!”
it plays out more like two kids telling each other what kind of supernatural ‘fact’ they found out yesterday and sharing it with a friend, because you two were practically that.
his eyes glowed brighter, “wow! then you must be lucky, eheh!”
and after that, each time he sees a stray coin on the ground, he’ll pick it up. and in the case of having company, he’ll tell them what you said with a smile etched on his face.

The forest of Kisara is where things get eaten. Ever since Misao, daughter of the village sower, went missing, the locals sent both young and older men into the forest—only for them to return different. The accounts vary from person to person. Some say that a husband couldn't sleep, foaming at the mouth and constantly choked on his own spit. Another says that their son had a newfound obsession with iron and steel, so much so that he had almost severed an artery hugging a knife in his sleep.
They returned from the search when dusk broke, and the look of hunger that was on their faces—wild and desperate, as though they had seen something in the forest that had made them ravaged was unspoken for. As if giving it a breath of acknowledgement was all it needed for teeth to grow sharper, for nails to become claws and hair to become fur. The village women spoke quietly to each other and talked of how their husband or son had downed five skinfuls of water and did not have their thirst quenched, or even a potful of rice did not tame the animal hunger in their eyes.
Every now and then, some girls would walk by the boundary of forest and tread footsteps, and there would be the smell of roasted pheasants, or burnt hazelnuts, or the mouthwatering scent of her late mother's fried rice. Village patrols would often carry a lantern in the evening and clipped their noses with wooden clothespins, if only to delay another wandering soul into the forest that would not give them back.
Kennyo decided that he would die there. He walked away from the beaten path of stone and green grass, far beyond the housed ladybugs and anthills. If he were to die, he would like to be fertiliser for a nice, pale patch of grass that did not receive enough sunlight. As he walked further into the forest, he ignored the thickets and burs and his itching ankles. He did not don his purple robes today—he would die humbly and quietly, like a peasant by the roadside.
Kennyo walked and walked until he didn't feel the sun on his head, and he sat down under a tall tree and sighed. There was no light there. He'd always suspected that hell was a dark place, but who knew it could be so cold?
He rubbed his arms and shrank into himself like a snail. It seemed like even going into death, he felt apologetic for the space he inhibited. Kennyo closed his eyes and waited for his death to come. He did not bring any water with him, and since he was an adult man, he would feel hungrier sooner than most. His training as a soldier didn't help, he was sure.
Kennyo closed his eyes once more and went to sleep, hoping that he would dream of Ranmaru and Shingen. Even if I cannot see them, he thought as drowsiness knotted his body like a noose, please allow me to be with them when I die. He did not know by who he hoped his prayers would be heard. He had long since forgotten who he owed his virtuosity to.
When he awoke, he felt light. There was another person nearby. Their footsteps were not quiet, so it was unlikely that they were trying to kill him. At least, do it successfully. He slowly felt for a sharp branch at his side and readied himself to use it as a weapon. Even going into death, he was an animal.
He opened his eyes, and there was a woman there. She was crouched near him, but not within arm's length that he could grab her. She was staring at him, a sort of morbid curiosity, like how children would gather around to look at a sparrow's corpse. There was no pity there. Only fascination, and a measured calmness. As if she was judging how long it would take for his body to rot.
Kennyo opened his mouth for his usual words of warning and threats to come flying, but the woman held a finger in front of his lips, another one pressed to her own. “Shh.”
He wanted to retaliate, but he heard the familiar footsteps of soldiers thumping through the forest, and he held his breath. Then, he heard a voice call out: “Did you find anyone?” It was a lukewarm voice. Tokugawa Ieyasu is here. Try as Kennyo might, his mind cried his human voice once more. Why is he here? Are they planning a siege against the village?
The woman regarded him for a second, and then turned her head to answer the voice beyond the trees. “Just a cat,” she said.
The Mikawa traitor was quiet. “...Alright. Will you find your way home?”
“Yes.”
Kennyo felt his brows scrunch in dogged anger. How foolish was the man allied with Nobunaga? Forget soft-hearted, he was straight up callous in his neglect. To leave a woman behind—in the middle of war, no less!—and to not even doubt her word or safety in a forest? Every time he learned more of the Oda forces, it was like salting the ocean. He waited until he couldn't hear the footsteps of the foot soldiers and their clunky armour and weaponry.
It happened in a swift moment. Kennyo recalled bringing his hand and pointing the sharp end of the branch to her neck—and then the next thing he knew, he was on the forest floor, and the weight of her leg was pressing on his elbow as she twisted his wrist until there was a cracking sound. Kennyo ignored the pain, his eyes finding hers as he spoke. “If you want to kill me, do it now.”
The woman's eyes were empty of threat and bore no anger or wariness. Blue, like the colour of the summer sky. Blue, like the veins that ran under his skin. Blue like a drowned corpse. “Why would I?”
The traitor of Mikawa truly fell for such a naive girl. Perhaps that had turned him foolish as well. There was a true question in her voice. “Because I will kill you if you do not.”
She tilted her head, and he realised that her hair was white, the colour of a paper doll for rainy days. The colour of a nine-tailed fox. “Then I will kill you when you try to do so.” She released her grip on him and shifted her weight from his arm. He brought his arm back to himself, the action like a whip. Kennyo felt for his wrist and winced.
The woman stood up, then bent at the waist as her hands reached to her ankles. Kennyo felt himself stiffen. He has dealt with assassins before, but not someone who so openly declared their intent. To his surprise, she did not reach for a hidden knife, or a needle, or even a small rock. She tore the edge of her kimono and fingered a gap in the seams until it was just a small piece of fabric in her hands. She turned to him.
He has never met this kind of assassin before. He backed into the roots of the tree until his back felt the grain of the wood. He couldn't stop staring at her. She looked straight at him, and then she yanked his leg closer—suddenly, he was a five year old child that refused to be bathed.
He didn't know he was still capable of feeling embarrassment. “What… are you… doing?” He tried to claw at her sleeve and attempted to push away her hands, to no avail.
She simply tugged his one leg closer, and soon he could not feel the wood anymore, and she was close enough for him to kick. Regretfully, he raised his free leg and swung at her.
The woman did not release his leg, nor did she flinch. She simply leaned back as if she had predicted him. Her lips were loose in a flat line and her eyes were ignorant to the concept of danger. It reminded him of Nobunaga's arrogant mug and he tried to cease the unrelenting thought that he should punch her. He was far past ethics or any shred of decency, but still.
“Stop moving,” she said.
“Stop touching me,” he growled.
“If I stop touching you you'll just run away again.”
“I—” he paused and inhaled a much-needed breath. Like dealing with a child. “I won't run away.”
She was quiet, contemplating. “Promise.”
“What?” He asked incredulously. When she did not repeat herself, he sighed. “I promise.”
“Promise not to run away.”
“I promise not to run away.”
She nodded, then let go of his leg abruptly. The action was so sudden that it hurt when his one leg hit the ground. He cursed under his breath. Wretched woman—…
Kennyo closed his eyes and took deep breaths to calm himself. I am Kennyo. I do not hurt someone weaker than me. I am Kennyo, and I will not hurt someone weaker than me. When he felt he was more himself again, he opened his eyes and leveled a glare at the white-haired woman with blue eyes. “Before you touch my leg again,” he said, “What will you do to it?”
The woman showed him the cloth she ripped from her kimono. “Your ankle is bleeding.”
He narrowed his eyes and frowned. “Then you should've just told me.”
She approached him again, slowly and carefully, like one might approach a feral kitten. “Not needed. The goal was to help you, and I will do that whether you know of it or not.”
Kennyo sighed. She reminded him a little of Date Masamune, in the short time he's known him. “Go ahead, I suppose.”
The woman nodded. Her hands were cold when they touched his ankle, and when she pressed a little into the wounds, he could bite back the hiss from his mouth. She was looking at him the entire time, not shying away from his gaze. When she finished bandaging her ankle, she stood up. “I'm going now. Don't touch your wound unless it's to clean it. And try not to let it get wet when you shower.”
“Who are you?” Her hair was white like snow. Her hands were cold. Perhaps he should call her snow woman. “Why did you help me?”
“Call me a hazy dream if you so wish,” she said. “I helped you because it hurts.”
It hurts. Not because he was hurting. Kennyo blinked. The fool of Mikawa fell for a fool as well. “I didn't ask for your help,” he spat out bitterly. He breathed in and out. I am Kennyo, and I am courteous. I am Kennyo, and I am not hurting. “But, well—I appreciate your thoughtfulness.”
Somehow, her eyes looked disgusted when he uttered his thanks. Did he say something wrong? “Save your thanks for a nicer person.” The snow woman turned heel and walked out of the woods to the gravel path, where the sunlight hit her. He couldn't see her clearly between the foliage of trees and leaves, but he heard her voice. “See you then, Mike.”
Mike? Ah, his clothes. He supposed there was some semblance of a calico cat in his appearance. If he squinted. Kennyo shook his head. What a strange snow woman. Perhaps she's a youkai of these woods. It seemed fitting that Nobunaga would foster demons in his lair. He was once one of those demons after all.
His plans for death disrupted, Kennyo decided to return home for the day and try again tomorrow. When he came out of the woods, the villagers crowded around him, asking him if he was okay, asking him if he saw anything strange in the forest. He did not answer, nor did he ask when no one offered him a bowl of porridge or gruel.
Then he walked into the forest again the next day, and the snow woman was there again.
Kennyo schooled his expression dispassionately. “Why are you here?”
The snow woman looked at him. “Looking for a cat.”
He sighed. “There are no cats here.”
“Sure there is,” she said, and pointed at him. “There's one right there.”
Silence.
The sound of crickets chirping.
“Was that…?” Kennyo trailed off, afraid of the answer.
To his horror, the snow woman nodded. “A joke.” Her eyes casted to the forest floor, as if disappointed. “I'm not good at it yet.”
Kennyo sighed. There was a saying that every sigh escaping your lips was also your happiness slipping out. He didn't know he had much of those left, but around her, he sighed as if he was the village fool, obtuse and laugh-filled. Happy, but still. He sat on the ground, resting his back on the bark of a tree. “Why do you keep coming here, snow woman?”
“I told you I was looking for a cat,” she said, and sat down next to him uninvited. “So I don't intend to leave until I find him.”
I am Kennyo, and I will die soon. “It can't be helped. I will help you find him.”
“Not needed.”
“Are you not travelling with Tokugawa Ieyasu to the eastern border? Why are you here?”
“Because I can find my way back just as easily.”
It's been a while since I've met someone so indirect yet straightforward at the same time. He should be grilling her with questions right now. He should be asking her of her importance to the Oda, and to threaten her life. He was too tired. He didn't want to think anymore. “Why did you call me Mike?”
She turned to meet his gaze, and her eyes were like a wall of glass—solid, but see through. “Why do you speak his name like that?”
Kennyo blinked. “What?”
“Tokugawa Ieyasu. Like… you pity him.”
He raised a brow. “How come you're certain I'm not pitying him because he has to deal with you?”
“Because I'm helpful and reliable.” Unlike before, there was a non-question there. As if she knew it herself, she spoke without reservations or modesty. It was a refreshing thing, at least. The women in the village often discredited themselves in favor of humility. “Why do you pity him?”
“Because he—!” When he realised he had raised his voice, he took a breath. I am Kennyo, and I do not hurt others. I am Kennyo, and I will not hurt others. “Because he and I are of the same kind.”
The snow woman's eyes bid him to continue. “Tokugawa Ieyasu is… a man driven by ire,” he said slowly, the words trickling slowly like a mountain stream. “He has an immeasurable hatred for the Imagawa, yet he bided his time and striked when the iron was hot. He… sharpened every roundness in his body to become a thorn. He even allied with Oda Nobunaga, of all people. He is a desperate man.”
The snow woman was quiet. “Your information is lacking and incomplete. Most of what you said is conjecture and not evidence supported by context.”
He had no idea what half those words meant. “What?”
She muttered something about thesis papers under her breath, and then she spoke. “The first half of your opinion was correct. He does hate the Imagawa, and it is true that he has sharpened even the tip of his tongue. But your implication that he chose to ally with Nobunaga out of desperation and not choice is half-baked. It was a choice made in desperation, not desperation itself.”
His brows scrunched. “There's no difference.”
“Sure there is.” The snow woman reached out for a branch and then smoothed out a patch of dirt, drawing a circle that overlapped in the middle. “This part is desperation,” she pointed to the circle on the left, “and this part is choice.”
“What's this?”
“A Venn Diagram.”
“A… what?”
“It's a useful tool for  finding similarities and distinctions between two objects.” With the end of the wooden stick, she tapped the middle part of the overlapped circle. “This is where Ieyasu lives.”
He couldn't understand. “He is 'desperate' and 'choice'?”
“He is both desperate and making a choice. One might call that instinct. Put into circumstances that pushed him into desperation, he made a choice that he would do whatever it takes to live. And that led him to ally with Nobunaga.”
Kennyo was quiet. “...You speak as if he is an animal.”
“It is not as bad of an image you perceive,” she said. “What is wrong with letting the animal of your body do what it must do to live on?”
His mind cried human once more. He wanted to be leader of the Ikko-Ikki, to be the responsible man of the village that everyone could look to. But he was tired. “What separates humans and animals are intellect. The ability to congregate and to socialise.” Even ants were soldiers. “Society would collapse should we build our wisdom atop a pile of corpses like territorial beasts.” Buddhism was about finding peace and serenity in oneself, so that one might be unshakeable in the face of change. Humans are greedy and malicious.
“What separates humans and animals are their awareness of the future. We plan and we innovate, if only to better the lives of the people that come after us. Is it not the same for you?” She tilted her head in a non-question, just as she had before. “Did you not seek death alone so as to not worry your friends and the people that care for you?”
Kennyo's mind was blank. He was tired. “How did you—”
“I'm rather good at finding cats that curl up and die alone.” She stood up then, and the slightest gap in the trees lent her light, looking as though the snow of her hair and the ice of her body would soon melt into nothing. “You believe in the concept of a higher power, do you not?”
His mind was still reeling from her words. “Yes.”
“Then why did you think you were ever alone? Is your god so pitiful that you thought They couldn't find you in a forest?”
Kennyo stood up, flushed and angry and embarrassed. “Do not dare insult my beliefs.”
She casted him that disgusted look once more, like he had thanked her for the wrong reasons. This woman is inscrutable. “You are the one that is insulting your own beliefs by going into some ditch to die. If you truly believe in higher power, then why do you not believe in hope?”
“I—” he stuttered. He hasn't stuttered in ages. Like a child. “It is different for me.”
The snow woman reminded him of Tokugawa Ieyasu at times. Her flat, unrelenting gaze and the way she would press at his wounds to see how much pain he could handle. He couldn't shake the feeling that he was being tested for something.
“I am leaving,” she said, and her words brooked no arguments. Kennyo felt a little irritated of the way she carried herself so easily and without question. “Do find a quieter place to die next time.”
He returned home in the veil of night, and early morning he headed into the woods again, where he found her carving something with a knife. When she saw him, she smiled. It was the first smile she'd ever shown him. “Come to die again, Mike?”
“I've come to kill you,” he said.
She doesn't sigh around him. As though there was no part of her that had grown tired and weary like his body had. He felt it when he breathed. He felt it when he ate. The weight of his aging skin and the chest that he claims is heartless. It still ached. He is tired. He is tired, and all he wants is to give into the place that existed behind the darkness of his eyelids, where neither suffering or joy existed. “Come to the wrong conclusion, I see.”
Kennyo unsheathed his hunting dagger. It was small and light. This kind of death was quick and impatient. “I will kill you, and then—”
“It's pointless to kill me then proceed to kill yourself. All we will be are two corpses in a forest.” Her sharp ice eyes softened and melted into water. “Why are you so convinced that things cannot be better?”
“Because they won't! It is not as if—I haven't tried,” Before he knew it, he was yelling. I am Kennyo. I am Kennyo, and I do not hurt others. “It is not as if—as if I gave up the first time. I tried to make it better.” He became a part of Nobunaga's army, loath as he was to admit it. He trained. He learned military strategy from Mitsunari and tried to save as many lives as he could when the war started. But he couldn't take being so close to death and not being able to do anything but hope. He has let go of too many hands that slipped out of his grasp, lifeless. “But nothing gets better, and I am tired.” He was sure he was crying by now. Like a child.
The snow woman was quiet, and he did not want to look into her eyes, so solid and cold like touching metal. He was sure there was no warmth there. “Of course it will be hopeless,” she said. “Of course I will try to kill you if you try to do the same to me. Of course the storm will come and you will not be able to do anything other than wait. But—” she paused, “what is wrong with hurting and healing and continuing onto the next day? You do not need to forgive anyone else except yourself for being alive.”
She approached him slowly, like one might approach a feral kitten. The truth of the metaphor wasn't lost on him. Her hand reached out and touched his shoulder. It was surprisingly warm, like the sunshine had melted away the layer of frost on her skin. “Go home, little calico. You will never find a place lonely enough to die in as long as the sun continues to rise and set.”
Dazedly, somehow Kennyo found himself at the boundary of forest and field, and when a little boy saw him, he yelled for the other villagers. They gathered around him, the lady that always made enough soup for him—Kumeko chided him for making them worry. Kennyo couldn't focus on their voices very well. All he remembered was that the clouds were white like her hair and her eyes were blue like the afternoon sky.
“I told you not to go into the forest again! Didn't you hear about the soldiers roaming around? They might've killed you if they found you!”
“I—” Kennyo started, but didn't know what he was about to say. “I'm—!”
I am Kennyo, and I am—
“Hungry,” he said stupidly.
She blinked in confusion, and for a moment there was silence as the villagers looked at each other, trying to find some sort of confirmation there. “It can't be helped then,” one woman said, straightening the flimsy cloth tied around her waist that passed as an apron. She grinned. “Guess we'll have to cook up a feast for you, hm?”
The other women nodded in agreement, and they smiled at each other, like knowing a secret only they knew. “It just so happens that Takemura caught some birds on his way back from the capital!”
Then another chimed in, “While we're at it, let's bust open some bottles of sake!”
Kennyo couldn't help the question that slipped past his lips. “...Why are you helping me?” Aren't they scared of the forest's curse? About the animal hunger? Am I not a monster?
“Helping? Well, I wouldn't say that. But if you're hungry, it's natural to eat, obviously. Plus, a good meal is important to having a good day!”
What is wrong with letting the animal of your body do what it must do to live on?
It was all a blur after that. Kennyo tried to help with the cooking, or the butchering, but they all shooed him away until night came and he was dragged to the communion table. Some of the men were singing folk songs about the moon, and their tone-deafness were not unwelcome.
“Eat up,” Chiyo said warmly, pushing the bowl of udon in front of him.
Kennyo tentatively spooned the broth into his mouth, and it was delicious. Maybe, he thought, Maybe this is what the forest curse would've been like. The forest of Kisara preyed on the weak-minded, luring them with the scent of good, hearty food and a longing that roped them into the heart of the woods.
He ate quietly under the watch of the village women, and when he finished, they asked him if he wanted seconds. They're wasting food on me. They didn't even question the reason he went into the forest. They simply took care of him when he returned, accepting him and his curse of hunger.
His curse of being alive.
Who was he? A monk. An older brother to the children. A little calico to the snow woman.
I am Kennyo, he thought, I am human.

Preparing for War (Nobunaga x MC)
This happened. Don’t know why. Don’t know where it came from. I’m sorry to do this to y’all, but I can’t live with this by myself. If you need me, I’ll be crying in the corner.
___________________
Title:   Preparing for War Pairing: Nobunaga x MC Rating: G/PG Word Count: 1,300
Description: MC helps Nobunaga prepare for battle.
WARNINGS: Angst. Lots and lots and loooooooots of angst. (Sorry again, y’all…)
~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~
Thunder rumbled in the distance, a herald of battle in the still, unsteady peace. Four candles burned in the tenshu, the dim light a visible representation of the weight on my heart in the pre-dawn hours. This…this was the day I’d dreaded since first arriving in Azuchi, and the hollow thump echoing through my chest with every beat of my heart reminded me of exactly why Sasuke warned me not to get involved with these men.
And silly me, I went and fell for the most hunted man of all. My life choices were never particularly sound, even before the wormhole.
In the center of the small circle of light stood Oda Nobunaga, the keeper of my heart and soul, waiting for this grim ritual to begin. The dark cloth of his hakama and hitatare seemed to absorb the light, as if to draw the flame itself from the wick of the candle and snuff it out. He looked straight ahead, his gaze fixed on a point along the far wall.
Today he would leave for battle; a fight which he was not guaranteed to win. Today, I would remain behind, keeping our home in working order in his absence.
I knelt at his feet, my breath hitching, and lifted the suneate from his most impressive armor display. I placed the gleaming, black legplate against his left shin and, carefully so as not to shift it, wrapped the cords and secured it in place. I repeated the movements on his right leg, then rose and lifted the haidate. My cheek pressed to his chest and I listened to the slow, steady beat of his heart while I wound my arms around his body, securing the heavy leather-and-iron skirt around his waist with the knots he’d taught me.
Reaching for the kote gave me the opportunity to turn away and wipe the standing tears from my eyes. Still he did not move; did not speak. Had I not just heard the heart beating in his chest, I’d have thought him little more than stone.
One by one I slipped the armor up his arms, pulling the ties tight across his broad chest and securing them on either side, then working the laces down his forearms into the proper position before sliding the tekko into place and positioning and securing them with the ties of the kote.
Next came the do, the heavy leather-and iron curiass fitted to his chest and back. I wove prayers for protection into the ties and knots holding the plates to my beloved’s body, silently begging for its unfaltering protection. As I tied his obi, securing the wakizashi to his side, I looked up at his face, blank and unreadable. Those beautiful eyes had once more gone cold and dark. Every part of him I knew was gone, hidden beneath the armor on his body and around his heart.
I lifted the silk rope in my hand and tied the katana around his waist, then tucked the gleaming black-and-silver tessen into the obi on his opposite side.
Upward I continued, the sode, the neck guard, pausing to stretch up on my toes and offer a kiss to his lips before securing his face guard and, finally, his helmet. Piece by piece I sheltered the man I loved behind the unfailing and unflappable façade of the samurai warrior. Gone was my gentle lover, replaced by the fearsome Devil King.
My task complete, I stepped back and examined my work. It was exactly as it should be. I could see no fault in his armor, no weakness to be exploited by his enemies. For the first time since rising from our shared bed, Nobunaga turned his gaze toward me, the hardness in his eyes softening for the briefest of moments before he flew into a defensive stance, his katana flying from its sheath with the snick and ting of metal on wood. The way he moved, even encumbered by the bulky plates of armor, was both beautiful and terrifying.
Without a word he replaced the katana, righted himself, and turned for the door.
I followed behind him silently, head down and eyes trained on the backs of his knees. So long as I kept my face toward the floor, nobody would see the tears falling behind the curtain of my hair. It is necessary, I told myself again and again, yet my heart refused to get on board. The sickening dread of losing him slithered along my spine, taking up residence at the base of my skull and reminding me that this may be the last I see of the other half of my soul.
At the bottom of the stairs, Nobunaga reached back and took my hand, lacing his fingers through mine.
I am yours and you are mine, the gesture said; words spoken between us so many times. My heart gave a sharp thump and I bit the inside of my cheek to keep my chin from quivering under the weight of my emotions. I would not cry where he could see; I would not give him reason to doubt or regret. He was going to war to secure the kind of future from which I’d come; I would not be the thing that stood in his way.
At the gates we were met with a fearsome sight: Nobunaga’s motley collection of warlords, fully armed and prepared for war. Masamune sat atop a black warhorse, the golden crescent of his helmet shining in the torchlight. Side-by-side stood Hideyoshi with his fan of blades atop his head and the horned helmet of Mitsunari with Mitsuhide in his black-and-gold, bellflower-adorned armor behind them. Ranmaru, dressed in the customary black of the ninja, stood beside Nobunaga’s charger, the reins in his hand.
Only Ieyasu remained without armor; the man who would protect Azuchi in Nobunaga’s stead. He looked at me, gaze soft and sad on my behalf, then turned toward the others with a huff.
“What are you waiting around for? This battle won’t fight itself.”
“The lad is right,” Masamune replied, his voice muffled by his face guard. “I don’t know about the rest of you, but I’m ready for a good fight.”
Ieyasu sighed. “Sometimes I think you have rocks in your head, Masamune.”
“Or at the very least, a traumatic brain injury,” Mitsuhide added with a snort and mounted his own snow-white horse.
“Laugh all you like,” Masamune said, “but I’ll be the one to win this war before the rest of you even  get to have fun.”
Hideyoshi groaned. Ieyasu sighed. “Did you really have to give that idiot the vanguard again?”
“I make the best possible use of my tools, Ieyasu,” Nobunaga answered. The humor in his voice didn’t reach his eyes. With that, the others busied themselves with last-minute preparations, making a big show of not looking at us.
Nobunaga turned, cupping my cheek with one armor-clad hand. “I am yours and you are mine,” he said, his voice nearly swallowed by his helmet. I closed my hand over his, then stretched up on my toes and pressed my lips to the cold, immovable mouth of his mask.
“I love you,” I whispered, then stepped back out of his reach.
“And I love you,” he replied before turning and mounting his own charger. Ieyasu stepped up beside me and placed a hand on my shoulder.
“They will be okay,” he said as the five warriors rode toward the field where their army waited.
“Come back to me,” I said aloud though he couldn’t hear me, and pressed my hands to my quivering belly. Beside me, Ieyasu’s eyes went wide with the realization. A single tear rolled down my cheek.
Please, Nobunaga…come back to us.

March 10, 2021: Ugetsu Monogatari (1953) (Part 2)
Well...looks like the ghost story just started.
Tumblr media
NO CASPER YOU CANNOT KEEP ME YOU WEIRD ‘90S GHOST BOY
I remember that movie, I grew up with that movie, and I remember when that movie first debuted on television for the Wonderful World of Disney on ABC, AND IT HAS GOTTEN FAR CREEPER AS AN ADULT
And, uh...speaking of possessive possessors...let’s get back to the movie, shall we? Part One of the Recap is right here!
Recap (Part 2)
Tumblr media
As that fuckin’ mask moans in the background, we learn that the ENTIRE FUCKIN’ MANOR was slaughtered by ABSOLUTE LEGEND, NOBUNAGA ODA. Dude is one of the most famous daimyo and Japanese leaders of all time, and was prominent specifically during this period. Damn. That’s like saying your entire family was slaughtered by Abraham Lincoln.
Anyway, he’s moaning because he likes it when his daughter, Wakasa, dances, and is overjoyed by the fact that she and Genjūrō have just gotten married, which my dude Genjūrō is TOTALLY ACCEPTING OF FOR SOME REASON. However, he doesn’t entirely trust the situation, and Wakasa suggests that he thinks that she is a sorceress. A convincing argument, seeing that she commands him to devote his life to her, and dude DOESN’T SAY NO.
Tumblr media
After a VERY good shot transition to the next day, the two are having a picnic, and Genjūrō admits that he doesn’t care is she’s a ghost or enchantress (DEFINITELY THE FIRST ONE), and is in love with the exquisite pleasures that she’s been introduced to. The two cavort in the fields in a way that definitely won’t come back to bite Genjūrō right in the ass.
Tumblr media
And not just him, because Miyagi and their son are STILL waiting for him to come back, and are hiding in their old village as the soldiers continue to invade and forage for food and wares. An old woman helps them to escape the village, and gives her and her son food in the process. However, they are intercepted by starving soldiers, who steal their food and stab her with a spear in the process. FUCK.
Tumblr media
Tōbei's not doing a lot better, as the wannabe samurai finds himself in a battlefield. He watches someone get beheaded by a samurai, whom he himself kills and steals the head from. Turns out that someone was a general, and he takes it to the general of the opposing side. While the general doesn’t believe that he killed the general himself, he’s still rewarded with a horse, man, and armor.
He also gets status, which IMMEDIATELY goes RIGHT to his head. As they go through a village, Tōbei's men convince him to stop at a brothel to celebrate his recent success. He agrees, although he’s eager to share his success with Ohama, who doubted him. Still, at the brothel, he brags to others about his skills and prowess, ALL of which he completely makes up, the great coward and faker that he is.
Tumblr media
And its at this brothel that he meets none other than Ohama, who’s been forced to turn to the brothel for work after being disgraced by the other samurai, all because of her husband’s actions. She berates him for her current state, and for his complete selfishness, which he counters with his desire to make her proud. However, she’s been defiled and dishonored, and asks Tōbei if he can find a way to bring back her honor. He pledges that he will. They do love each other, after all.
Tumblr media
Meanwhile, a happy Genjūrō makes his way back to the village where he sold his wares. He tries to buy some silks for Wakasa, but is refused when he tells the salesman of the manor he comes from. As he leaves, he’s suddenly approached by a priest (Sugisaku Aoyama), who sees the shadow of death upon him, and urges him to return home immediately. He also reveals that Wakasa is indeed a ghost.
Tumblr media
Genjūrō attempts to brush this off, but the priest decides to exorcise the spirit of Wakasa from the mansion to help this man. However, Genjūrō still returns to the manor, the great numpty. Troubled by the priest’s statements, his worry is sensed by Wakasa, who tells him not to leave her side ever again.
He tells her of his wide and child, and asks to be allowed to go home. She doesn’t care, and states that they will go together to her native land. However, when she tries to touch him, she can’t. The priest has done something.
Tumblr media
The priest wrote prayers to Buddha on his skin in order to protect him from Wakasa and Ukon. Ukon reveals that Wakasa dies before experiencing love, and the two spirits returned to the mortal world to find that love for her. Ukon in particular is angered by Genjūrō ‘s insistence in leaving and abandoning her in her hour of need, also commanding him to stay by her side forever.
Tumblr media
However, Genjūrō panics, and grabs a sword with which to attack the pair and escape. He passes out, and is found by soldiers the next day, who accuse him of stealing the sword, which is apparently sacred. He says that he took it from the manor, but the soldiers respond that the manor’s been burnt down for a while now. And we see the ruins of what was once the manor, as Wakasa’s haunting song is heard in the background.
Tumblr media
Spooky. As. FUCK.
Genjūrō, as creeped the fuck out as I am, returns to his little village, destroyed by Shibata’s army. He goes to look for Miyagi and his son, but doesn’t find them in their ransacked home. He leaves the room, we slowly pan back to the door in which he entered...
Tumblr media
FUCK ME MAN
So, there is NO GODDAMN WAY that Miyagi and Genichi aren’t DEAD AS SHIT. He apologizes for his great mistake in seeking fortune, and admits that all he ever needed was his family. Miyagi shoves those concerns aside, and pours him some sake and stew. But she seems both relieved and bereaved at his return. And I can only assume that that’s because she knows the truth, and isn’t telling him how hard he fucked up by leaving them. He settles in to bed with his son, and his wife looks on as the fire goes out, and mends Genjūrō’s clothes until the sun comes up. And again, it’s SPOOKY AS FUCK.
Tumblr media
That next morning, the Village Chief comes back, and Genjūrō answers the door. His son is still there, to my surprise. However, the Village Chief reveals the truth: Miyagi was indeed killed by the soldiers that day. Genichi mercifully survived, however, and has been living with the Chief since. However, how he knew that Genjūrō had returned was unknown.
As Tōbei and Ohama return home (with Tōbei throwing his armor in the river, and Ohama rightfully berating for his foolishness), Genjūrō repents for his actions, and builds a shrine to his late wife. But Miyagi...Miyagi’s not truly dead. You see, she narrates over Genjūrō’s actions, as he’s learned tehe folly of his ways and greed, and returns to the kind man and caring father who he was before. She watches over them both, and the movie ends as the village rebuilds.
Tumblr media
FUCK ME MAN, I AM SPOOKED. And that was Ugetsu Monogatari! See you in the Review!

A song For the Devil
This is a Ikemen Sengoku based fanfic. If you’ve played the game you know there is lots to play with (hehe). I chose the Nobunaga Route and I’m obsessed with his devilish charm and dominating presence (what can I say, I like a man with a dream and who knows what he wants). That being said, I don’t own most of these characters... whoever wrote and created the Ikemen Sengoku games sort of does (Because, you know, they are based off of actual people who not only walked this earth but also helped shape it, but like whatever)
This first chapter is fairly innocent... barely even fluffy... but the story will take some VERY dark and twisted turns in chapter 2... SO this is my warning: It will become NSFW. I will give more specifics on Chapter two
Chapter 1
Fire on fire
My name in Rina Satomi. I am the princess of my clan. To ensure the peace between my clan and the Oda I was betrothed to Nobunaga, known as the Devil King of the 6th heaven.
Due to the many battles that Nobunaga was fighting to achieve his dream to unify Japan our wedding was postponed for a year and during that time I travelled with him. I helped heal the wounded and before battles I would perform dances and sing for the troops quickly gaining the reputation of Nabunaga’s song bird.
They may have called me his, but we spent very little time together, and he only ever touched my hand to guide me when necessary.
In that whole year we hardly spoke more than greetings and farewells. The only way I got to know him was through the gossip of his soldiers and maids. His men though he was a god, not only charging into the battle with them, but often times sending men back to head quarters when they had only received minor injuries. The women of his castle spoke of rumors of what a carnal lover he was to both women and men. At the time it simultaneously frightened and exited me that my soon to be husband was so experienced.
Despite our engagement it was not Nobunaga I found myself day dreaming of. My mind should have been fixated on black hair and carnelian eyes but instead it repeated the images of the chestnut hair and golden eyes of Nobunaga’s right hand, Hideyoshi. I blame my infatuation on the mere fact that he spent more time talking and keeping an eye on me, of course for his Lord, not for my sake.
I knew that his care for my well being and safety wasn’t because he cared for me, but rather it was to keep something that belonged to Nabunaga safe. Despite this, I engaged in flirtations with him whenever we were alone. It escalated until one night, when they returned to headquarters after a particularly harsh battle, I was summoned to perform for them.
I forgot myself and my position during the song, forgot to give each of the leaders only a small bit of attention, and give most of my gaze to Nobunaga. That night I struggled to take my eyes off Hideyoshi. He was covered in wounds from battle. When his eyes met mine a heat rose throughout my body and I knew that not only did he see it, but the devil king sitting next to him along with all of the other vassals in the audience. I rushed through the song when I noticed the shift in Nobunaga. When the song was done I didn’t wait to be dismissed to leave and walked quickly to my tent.
I shivered wondering what kind of punishment I was about to receive as I washed the paint from my face. I was still removing hair pins and jewel when I heard heavy footsteps approaching my tent. My body froze at the words of the guard stationed outside of my tent. “Lord Nobunaga.”
He entered without asking for permission or announcing himself. Even with my back turned to him I could feel his wyes on me. My throat was tightening as I turned to face him. “My lord.” I spoke softly.
He stepped towards me until we were less than an arms length apart. “Would my song bird like to nest somewhere else?” He asked, and despite the anger, I could hear the hurt.
“My lord?” I questioned.
“Your eyes were fixed to another man throughout your song. I can arrange to have the two of you joined within the week.” His eyes were cold and distant.
My heart sank as I realized that instead of fighting for my affection he would rather give me away. The sinking heart in my chest turned angry and that anger spread throughout my body. He looked amused as the fires of anger spread across my face. “Lord Nobunaga, this is the most we have ever spoken of our engagement since the day it was set and it has been close to a year since that day.” I lost all sense of formality and respect for him as I continued to ramble. “You don’t show me any care or attention, you have sent Hideyoshi to check on my well being instead of courting me yourself. The rumors may be true that you’re a brilliant strategist, a fierce warrior, and an exceptional hedonist in bed, but in matters of the heart you are truly an idiot.” I heard the guard outside the tent gasp at my words.
Nobunaga half stepped outside of the tent and spoke in a stern and cold voice to my guard. “You are dismissed from your post. If you repeat anything you’ve just overheard, I will have the heads of your family and yourself removed.”
The guard left in a hurry as I stood, staring at the devil king with a raging fire in my eyes.He turned back to me with flames that rivaled my own. “Your saying it’s my fault that you desire Hideyoshi between your legs?” He asked menacingly.
“Who said I want him like that?” Anger continued to build through my body.
“Your dance. Your body. You said it yourself, I’m an exceptional hedonist, you don’t think over this last year I haven’t studied you body. You think I don’t know how a woman’s hip movements change when she wants to be filled?” He was slowly moving towards me and  reached a hand out towards my face, moving some of my black hair aside as he cupped my cheek. “Answer me. Do you want a life with him?” His face was close enough I could feel his breath on my lips.
This was the most we had talked since we met and the closest our bodies had been. Perhaps I had wanted Hideyoshi before this because of his kindness, but suddenly the fire I saw in Nabunaga’s eyes were beginning to burn the thoughts of his closest ally from my mind. “No” I whispered, maintaining eye contact watching as surprise and curiosity fanned the flames behind his eyes.
I reached a hand to his cheek and dragged it through the hair at the nape of his neck. He tensed a little at my touch. “Why have you waited this long to show me your fire?” I asked as I pulled his face towards mine.
“I won’t let a woman distract me from my dream.” He said as he pulled away from my embrace.
“I have no intention of getting in the way of your dream to unify Japan.” As the hand that had been in his hair fell to my side I clenched my fists.
“You’ve chosen a difficult life staying by the devil’s side.” His eyes were dark,  not a hint of humor.
“Then I shall become a devil myself.” I returned his dark gaze with more fire and passion in my eyes.
He turned and began to exit the tent. With his back turned to me he spoke. “When we return to Azuchi—“ he turned to look at me over his shoulder, a look of mischief in his eyes. “We will be married.” And with that he left.
That night the men did not sleep at head quarters but instead left to travel through the night to their next battle. The air was tense as they gathered up and restocked on supplies before their departure. I was still in my tent when Hideyoshi asked to enter. I paused before granting his request. “princess—“ His eyes were troubled, something I had never witnessed before.
“Will you accept my apology Hideyoshi?” I asked with my head bowed before he could finish.
He approached me and lifted me face up. “What is there for me to forgive? I feel blessed to have received your attention.” His thumb was dangerously close to my lips. His eyes were soft and inviting and my heart began to ache again knowing what I had done. I had opened a door that he had kept locked since we met.
“Nobunaga—“ I began
“He told me to come here to hear your answer for myself.” He smiled with so much hope in his face.
That Devil is making me clean up my own mess. As angry as it made me I also knew it was right.
“Hideyoshi, You’re touching another man’s bride.” I spoke softly as I kept my eyes glued to him.
He removed his hand from my face and the stern look of a soldier returned to him. “Please accept my apology my lady. I—“ it was almost a wince when he paused, as if he was greatly disappointed in himself. “I made an assumption based off of our friendship and the dance. I shouldn’t have been so forward.”
I bowed to him. And when I raised my gaze from the ground he was already half way out the tent already.
I watched as the men marched from the camp, worried for each one of them, but most of all Hideyoshi. I worried that what happened would distract him and I prayed to gods that he would make it through. I was deep in that prayer when the sound of hooves approaching me drew me to finish my prayer just in time to watch Hideyoshi ride past me and Nobunaga stop his horse at my side.
He reached down from his horse to gently pull my face towards him. “He will recover, and in the mean time I will have his back.” He leaned down towards me his lips hovering just above my forehead. “I’m sorry for making you wait so long.” He didn’t kiss my forehead, he just brushed his nose up and took a deep breath before pulling away. He sat back up and looked forward as his army continued to march on. Determination washed over his face. “Your song plays in my heart while I’m away from you.” He looked back down to me. “I look forward to hearing a new song from you when we are together again.”
My heart raced with all of this new attention and sudden poetry of his words. “Lord Nobunaga—“ I didn’t know what else to say.  He simply smirked as he urged his horse forward.
I waited to see the warriors off before returning to my tent to retire for the evening. I had changed into a grey silk sleeping robe and began brushing my hair when I heard rustling outside my tent. I turned to the entrance watching as the shadow of my guard suddenly fell and his blood splashed across the outside of my tent.
