3.What is a film you absolutely despise and why?

Oh man I think The Lion King 2019 (and all those disney """live-action""" remakes in general). Some are more egregious than others but god like, just the staggering soulless, corporate, intellectually and emotionally lazy aura of them. They smell like bleach and plastic to me.

so many things to despise :D LIKE

the fact that so many extremely talented artists and workers in general whose creativity and talent and passion is being wasted on these things hurts my bones and crushes my soul

the fact that this thing is so blatantly a 'product' meant to be consumed once and then forgotten about

the no imagination or attemps at doing new and different things and when they are trying to do improvements or something new they show how they fundamentally don't understand what makes the originals work and what made them so beloved in the first placed

how manipulative it is, the unabashed exploitation of people's nostalgia and love of the original

the way a company plagiarizes itself like a greedy ouroboros

the way it wants to piggy-back off the hard work of the original while also wanting to replacing it

the way these things help perpetuate that 2d animation is old and outdated and for kids, while this new gritty no colour, no heart, no soul, no emotion, no sincerity, no vulnerability, no rawness, live action remake is much more mature and ´real´ and waaaaayyyyy better I mean who needs characters to act and emote when we can render all these fur textures…

It's just insulting to me and the entire human race overall

5. What is your favorite genre of film?

Aaaarghhhhh I don't know if I can choose, it's like choosing which one of your children is your favourite, it's evil to choose!

But here's some I'm genres I'm weak for: psychological horror, character studies, sci-fi, intimate small scale conflicts that are a microcosm of a larger more general and timeless conflict, dark comedy, historical periods!!!, fantasy and mythology, all sorts of animation but especially the crazy experimental ones (claymation and stop-motion for example), and just weird stuff in general

And I really like a film that can juggle polar opposite genres/emotions like a comedy/horror or comedy/tragedy in a way that enhances the whole thing and not subtract from it, it's one of the toughest things but oh that's the good shit right there when it's done right like:

readin comments on videos of "simple" art videos is so funny, cuz its just people being ridiculously annoyed over nothing

one video was someone demonstrating a digital brush they'd made by drawing a balloon dog in like 6 lines and then erasing a bit and the comments... og boy the comments! there are still people who loudly and proudly on the Internet denounce digital art as "not real" and that traditional art is the only "true art". im not joking. and there are people so upset that it was so quick and simple (on a sped up demo video) for a lil balloon dog to be drawn

another video, a stylized one-line art of someone tracing a dog and then the dog's name (im lresuming its the dogs name tbh), this time someone is showing a comission (cant rmemeber details thh) and people were so mad that they were charging money for it! because of course, its so simple and easy, and the style looks bad (i mean, it was fine but whatevs) and its tracing so how could someone even think to charge any money. and there were some people defending it by saying "you do it if its so easy" and a bunch of people were replying with stuff like "i could do that easy" or "i could do better" or like "i could do it without tracing". and all of their accounts just showed waaaaayyyyy different styles of art, not a single one actually had gone, "ya its easy and ill prove it" just mad that someone is doing a cute and simple art commission thats easily marketable because people like their pets

and like both of those? they looked so simple and easy.

why?

because the person doing it has practiced with that, and they have experience with art and thats why it can look so easy. but bitch please, do it, show me how easy it is. how the style for all this is so simple to copy. bitch im begging

So to celebrate me having 100 followers, even though I kinda did already (again you guys are some sick fucks). I'm gonna make a list of all my favorite characters from all of the fandom's I have listed. I will also try and write/answer some ask today. Yay, so I hope you enjoy. Warning theirs gonna be a lot of ties, because I can't choose. Also I’m not rereading this for mistakes, HAVE FUN!

One piece - Donquixote Rosinante/Corazon

This one was a tough one to choose, there's a lot of close runner ups (Kaku, Coby, Katakuri, etc). But this man, ooooohhhhh this man. He stole my heart. Just all around good characters and I wish there was more of him. Though him appearing for only a little is probably what makes him so good.

Golden kamuy - Vasily and Ogata Hyakunosuke

Vasily for his cuteness in the manga, also big buff man. And I just like his overall motivation for the things he dose. And Ogata for his overall sexiness and air of danger. Plus Ogata has the best angles in the manga that makes him look even sexier (Also that sub voice is killer/also runner up to this one is usami)

Hetalia - Turkey/Sadık Adnan

Gonna be honest. In normal hetalia no one really stuck out to me. I don't really have a one I'm obsessed with. All of them are just like "Your good, your kinda good, alright your better than that other one." The only reason I choose Turkey is because I fine his designs and characters just a little more fun. (runner ups are Sweden, Canada, and Denmark/just because there little better than everyone else, this literally could go either way)

2p hetalia - 2p Canada/James Mathieu Williams alL THE WAY BABY!!

My obsession, my muse, he could hit me with his car and I'd thank him. 2p I like waaayyyy better than the normal ones. Just overall, the normal ones are good but as my friends have pointed out many time "You have a villain kink." and they're right goddammit! Anyway the reason for James is that buff lumberjack body type also soft on the inside tough on the outside awkward thing people do with him. Probably the reason I like buff/hairy lumberjack body types waaaaayyyyy more than any other (probably a kink at this point/anyway runner ups are 2p Sweden, 2p France, and p2 Prussia)

Bleach - Kisuke Urahara

Hands down one of my favorite characters designs in anime. Just everything about him in his story is great. How he can go from comic relief to the sad back story in seconds. Also Ph1lza use him as his minecraft skin so extra points there. (runner up is no one because no one stands out right now)

Demon slayer - Genya Shinazugawa, Doma, Gyutaro

FIRST! Genya is like best boi fight me, he made me cry for so many reasons. SECOND! Don't judge me for Doma, his ending won me over. All around good shit. THIRDLY! Gyutaro should probably be the only one because I'm pretty sure he beats out the other two, I just wanted to mention them because I also really love them. Anyways Gyutaro character design I like the best and his story made me ball. (No runner up because you've already gotten 3 characters)

One punch man - Zombieman

I LOVE THIS MAN, GOD I HAVE A PROBLEM! Anyways character design feeds into the Gothic monster hunter vide and I live for it. I like all of the sense in the manga where he takes a spot light. His weapons and power are kinda op because I'm pretty sure he could beat Saitama in a fight. (Runner up is Flashy flash and Child Emperor)

Haikyuu - Daichi Sawamura and Kei Tsukishima

Daichi because he could crush me between his arms and I would be fine with it. Also he's just an overall good character with a solid motivation to play volleyball. Kei for his sassy personal that he tries to keep up all of the time and when he fails it's literally the cutest. And for his stubborn personality mix with an understanding that he probably needs to change sooner or later. (runner up is Tendō)

Nanbaka - Samon Gokuu

His character design brings me joy for his obvious monkey and Chinese takes. I like his personal and his story as a whole. Just a good character that has a few good jokes and is hot. His hair is nice to, backed up with his makeup/tattoos. (Runner up are Musashi, Liang, and Qi)

Danganronpa - Nagito Komaeda

Honestly probably could be someone else seeing I've only watch up to the second game. Anyways arguably the best evil laugh in the whole series. He's easy to make a yandere for his outlandish and obsessive personality. Just a all around good character (Monokuma and Kazuichi Soda/I liked Leon Kuwata for a little until he got insta murdered)

Creepypasta - Bloody painter/Helen Otis

I’m a simple person, I see artiest that turns to murder and I like. Plus I like how many things you can do with this character. Some people make him shy baby boy who’s scared of his own shadow, some people make him the unstable quiet character that murders people brutally with a drop of a hat, some people make him an unassuming brute that can snap someone's neck. I personally like he second one, just fun overall (Runner up is probably Hoodie or Homicidal Liu)

Hunter x hunter - Shalnark

I always have likes the characters that are secretly really fucked up. He’s a sociopath and puts on a smile to hide it. I also just like how he’s blond. That’s about it, just a simply character that’s good. (Runner up are Chrollo Lucilfer and Illumi Zoldyck)

Overwatch - Jesse McCree

Hahaha funny cowboy man. (Runner ups are Hanzo, Genji, Winston)

My hero academia - Mr. Compress/Atsuhiro Sako

This one was hard to choose. Theirs a lot of characters that are good. But I like his face and his whole aesthetic. Just a dapper man having some fun. Well more about starting a political revolution than fun but you get what I mean. He also has a top hat so more points.

her younger sister quinn. she really loves her sister. she wants to see her again! i think at this point will has broken the seal and checks on her social media every once in a while. her sister would probably the first person she'd reach out to.

oh INSANE question... probably her familiar bixby and maybe she conjures and little trinket/stress ball when she's stressed

i think yes! i don't think she's really lashed out at anyone yet but she definitely would. she was down for murder at least,

33. when creating your character, did you take inspiration from characters in other media? or just other media in general? name them, if any!

not really! she's just a wizard who wants to be really good at school and then everything went to hell

we both like to do well in school, and she's a very curious person like i am. she is handling this crisis WAAAAAYYYYY better than i would though

I should prelude this by stating I’m not actually that much of a shipper so the ships I’ve shipped have all been mostly sporadic through the years, with varying degrees of intensity.

What they do have in common is that I usually like when people like each other and are friends for a while - the chemistry works better! usually there’s pining! they already work well as a team! things like that

so here’s a curated list:

Miranda x Gary

with Miranda and Gary I really liked the ending to their story because it was also a part of Miranda’s journey to learn about herself, what she wanted, and what she deserved. both characters actually enjoy being with each other and even though there are mishaps, Miranda realizes she doesn’t need anyone in her life to dictate her worth. however she wants other people in her life - Gary included. it’s nice that he wants that too.

Ichabbie

when I began watching Sleepy Hollow it was only because I wanted to see the headless horseman hunting people down, which always sounds like fun lol. and then Abbie Mills and Ichabod fucking Crane of all people turned out to have great chemistry. that was something I wasn’t expecting, but it happened. terribly wasted, too. they were both very similar, grew to respect and admire each other, and had fun. it was really a shame racism didn’t let them take advantage of it.

Holmes x Watson

particularly in the Granada version, it always seemed to me like they would be very happy together, solving mysteries and growing old in their cozy apartment in Baker Street.

Tamaki x Haruhi

Ouran High School Host Club is great at exploring the tropes of romance and subverting traditional dynamics and assumptions (at least in manga/anime). Tamaki, the principal’s son and heir to a fortune, is pretty much smitten from the start with Haruhi, even if he is not aware of the fact, but on top of that Haruhi is very oblivious to this and just wants to get by and get good grades and pay her debt to the host club. The set up is classic stuff but the characters are very charismatic and fun and honest and I just love how their friendship, flaws, and strengths evolve around each other, including the rest of the group. the group dynamic overall is very neat.

Jaime x Brienne

this is waaaaayyyyy more recent. I like that they start as enemies! and then become reluctant allies under a common enemy. and then they realize through their journey the other person is actually cooler than they thought, and that they like them, but they’re still technically in opposite sides of a war, and by the time they both are pretty much aware they’ve fallen in love, well, things are shittier. there’s cheesy stuff like jumping into bear pits and dreaming about marriage and defending each other, all the while with snark and pro tsunderism, and i think it’s really enjoyable. more than that, i like that Brienne is a masculine woman, and ugly, and she is allowed to remain both masculine-looking and ugly. jaime is also allowed to stay very pretty but that’s not why she falls for him either. they inspire and teach each other things and idk man, I just like their dynamic and the way their individual journeys are influenced by the other’s.

Lizzie x Gordo

i’m gonna put this here because it’s the first ship i remember shipping, back in school when i was a kid. it has all the tropes i grew up to like in other ships too - friendship, certain support, pining, witty and easy conversations. this is a throwback to smol me.

I'm halfway through s2 of Sex Education. I decided to take a break cause while there are storylines and relationships I'm invested in, I have no patience for love triangles and the like atm. I remember you posting something about a disappointing twist for GA's character so I looked it up because idk when/if I'll pick up the show again and woah, I did not expect that AT ALL. I don't think it makes much sense and it does seem like an unfortunate trend for her characters [tbc]

[cont] (obviously the thing itself is not bad, and I'm sure the Sex Education writers will do it better than txf's - the bar is low in that regard anyway - but it still leaves an unpleasant taste in my mouth)

Yeah. Honestly I would not NOT be on board with it necessarily, if it weren’t for the UNFORTUNATE context of the repetitive grimness of the Scully situation. And especially the last “shock” twist of MS4 and Gillian’s apparent unhappiness with it. And even all mixed in, for me at least, with the withholding of the script and all that bullshit. Just like some ugly gendered power dynamics shit. The tentacles of CC continue to reach outwards. Sigh.

While I enjoyed S2 of Sex Ed a lot overall, I found the ending frustrating on many levels. I felt they either fizzled/dropped the ball on some of the storylines, or went with bummer twists that didn’t really feel earned to me. I also felt like they have not completely nailed down the tone that they want for the show, and it vacillated way too hard for me between “fun raunch” and “earnest PSA,” at the end especially. And very much that they did the sitcom thing of picking certain beats that would be the plot and kind of forcing those through, and just letting everything else that they set up nonsensically fall by the wayside.

Most egregious example for me (Sex Education S2 spoilers ahead, obviously): Jean’s confidential notes getting spread all over school (BY THE HEADMASTER, which was straight-up ridiculous to me no matter how much a mustachioed villain they are making him), and this EXTREMELY egregious confidentiality breach of dozens of minor children’s sensitive personal health information making barely an impact beyond furthering the plot of the rivalry between Jean and the headmaster in the context of his wife leaving him. Like, this would have major MAJOR ramifications for everyone, the headmaster should like, go to jail for doing that, Jean should have been WAAAAAYYYYY more upset about what that does to her professional credibility and how it affected the lives of literally every one of her advisees at the school and how many of them maybe will never trust a therapist ever again...and yet it seems to barely register with her, or with anyone else. And is more set up like, haha what a big disaster oh noes! This crazy high school. And instead the big climactic conflict with Jean at the end is...she’s upset that Otis was doing the sex clinic at school. Which is also not good? I guess? But I feel would be like a tenth of the badness of her fucking patient notes getting stolen and her being made to look like an unprofessional, incompetent, unethical therapist? To a degree far far beyond “grr that mean headmaster, what a jerk”? But they wanted an ending conflict between Jean and Otis so they like, picked that one. Thematically it makes sense since that was the start of the whole series, but in a like, stuff happening to people way, I feel the correct scale for that issue would have been a mild “Otis, I know you were trying to help and I’m sure I have myself to blame for this in a lot of ways, but, it’s not ethical to do that and certainly not to make money from it.” Instead of this BREACH OF TRUST!!! I CAN NO LONGER SPEAK TO YOU stuff that it didn’t really warrant, to my mind.

My other beef was that so much (rightly so) was made of Aimee’s trauma and how it affected her in lingering, unexpected ways, and that was heartwarming and lovely to see her friends and her boyfriend be understanding and supportive of her and help her work through it. ...And then, during the over-the-top sex musical (here I am agreeing with the mean headmaster that this was highly inappropriate for a high school...), literal dick puppets are being dangled unexpectedly next to people’s faces in the dark in the audience, and there was no concern that THIS might be traumatic to Aimee? Or like, anyone else who might be an assault survivor and might not enjoy being startled by dicks? This is what I mean by the tone being inconsistent. And I know life is not tonally consistent, and people don’t always react in ways that others or even they expect. But after going through that whole arc with Aimee I was kinda like “no concerns at all about this eh?”

Anyway. I really like the show a lot but I wondered if they were rushed writing the ending or something. I have more BEEFS with some of the storylines but those are some of the bigger ones.

But yeah, the pregnancy thing, while it felt sort of like cheap shock drama that the show frankly should be too good for, was not at the top of my list of complaints. At least, I do have a great, and I think justified, hope that whatever they do with that plot, it will be done with more sensitivity, intelligence, nuance, and comprehensibility of how the female body works than on XF.

(And in general, this is a continuing series, so any issues that I have with the storylines as “resolved,” they will still have plenty of chances to elaborate on in the next season.)

Who is your favourite character in 2? Valery Legasov. Seriously, you can’t help but admire the guy, fearlessly putting himself in harm’s way just to discover the truth about the cause of the reactor’s explosion so he can save as many lives as he can, completely going against the paranoia and corruption of the Soviet government to try and get the truth. He willingly dealt with a lot of danger, both from the radiation and the constant surveillance from the KGB, with only one goal in mind; to save Europe. I don’t think many of us would be living today if not for his bravery and determination. Thank you so much, Comrade Legasov! You are a true hero! -salutes-

Who is your least favourite character in 1? Would probably have to say Piella. It’s heavily implied that she had abused Fluffles. Bad enough that she was a serial killer, but anyone who willingly tortures and torments their doggo is definitely beyond all redemption in my book! >:(

What is your favourite episode of 4? TBH, kinda stuck between Happy Death Day and Moonah Ston, simply because of all the feels I get from Pat and Robin in their respective episodes. :,)

What is your favourite season of 5? I like Season 5 best. I know it’s badly animated compared to all the previous seasons, but I loved all those episodes back in ancient Egypt. :)

Who is your favourite couple in 3? Well, apart from Levi/myself (Heehee… XD), the closest thing I have to an OTP in this anime is Ymir/Historia. So touching to see how they’re always there to support each other. Also, so cute how Ymir’s always so protective of Historia. I wish they could together. -sniff sniff-

Who is your favourite couple in 2? Vasily and Lyudmilla Ignatenko. Their love story is probably one of the most heartbreakingly tragic ones I’ve ever seen. Though I wish she could’ve obeyed the doctors’ warnings of not to touch him, I can’t help but understand why she didn’t. That was her husband, who she loved after all. I’m so touched how Lyudmilla stuck by Vasily during his stay at Hospital No.6, taking care of him, even as he gradually deteriorated as he got weaker during his final weeks. During their last scene together, it’s impossible to be grossed out by how badly disfigured he’d become, you’re too busy breaking your heart over these two characters deeply in love spending what little time they have left together, as she still sticks by him through his agony. I think that’s when she tells him she’s pregnant too, the last happy news for him to receive before he passes. Vasily’s burial scene at the end of episode 3 is just too tragic for words. Lyudmilla’s face as her husband is bagged up, nailed into a wooden coffin, sealed inside a zinc sarcophagus which is then lowered into a ditch outside the cemetery, along with the other firemen who arrived at the reactor and received lethal doses of radiation, which is then filled with concrete. I just can’t even begin to imagine just how heartbreaking it must be to see the one you love being sealed up and permanently entombed like that, knowing that’s the last time you’ll ever see them, can’t even get a normal burial because their body is still dangerously radioactive. Then her baby had to go and die four hours after being born, due to the high levels of radiation she’d received from her dying husband. I mean, first your husband, now your baby too! No, that’s gotta be too much! Happily, despite being told by doctors she could never have another child, she now lives with her son in Kiev. So hopefully, despite her whole heartbreaking experience that was depicted in the show, she’s doing okay now.

What is your favourite episode of 1? Kinda stuck between The Wrong Trousers and A Matter of Loaf and Death. Trousers, purely for nostalgia as that was the one I’d always watch as a toddler and Loaf and Death for Gromit/Fluffles OTP feels. X3

What is your favourite episode of 5? Waaaaayyyyy too many to choose from. XD

What is your favourite season of 2? There is only one season. :P

How long have you watched 1? Since I was born practically. :D

How did you become interested in 3? I saw WatchMojo’s “Top 10 Saddest Anime Deaths” video on YouTube, which included the death of Carla Jeager in the very first episode, being eaten by a Titan as her son, Eren (the main character) helplessly watches while being carried away to safety. That scene gave me some serious chills, so I guess you could say it was a morbid fascination for me. Then as I watched it, I became engrossed in the story and always loved watching the adrenaline-pumping scenes of our main characters fighting Titans, even though such battles could get jaw-droopingly violent and depressingly tragic at times. These days, I just watch it for the sheer love of seeing the smexy badass that is Levi Ackerman. XD

Who is your favourite actor in 4? The whole cast. XD

Which do you prefer, 1, 2, or 5? …No, that’s too hard. They’re all such different shows.

Which show have you seen more episodes of, 1 or 3? Attack on Titan, simply because that has more episodes than Wallace and Gromit. ;P

If you could be anyone from 4, who would you be? Funnily enough, I actually had a dream once were I could see and speak to all the ghosts in that show, just like Alison could. XD

Would a crossover between 3 and 4 work? Um… no. XD

Pair two characters in 1 who would make an unlikely but strangely okay couple? Um… I dunno. Possibly Piella Bakewell and Victor Quartermaine? Maybe they could pair up through their shared hatred for Wallace? I dunno. They’re both scumbags, so… X

Overall, which show has the better storyline, 3 or 5? I’d probably have to say Attack on Titan. Sorry YGO, but you simply cannot beat a story in which our characters have to learn to fight to survive and protect their loved ones in a dystopian fantasy world.

Which has better theme music, 2 or 4? Chernobyl doesn’t really have a theme tune to speak of. Ghosts, however, has a very cool myserteous and gothic vibe to its opening theme. Does that answer your question for you. ;P

For me, there is waaaaayyyyy too much attention paid to these ships, and for me, that ruined ‘em. Well, Stricklake I didn’t like anyway cause I am not a fan of That Knife Jerk, and Jlaire... well, like I said, too much attention. I like rarepairs much better. (Though I do wish more people were multishippers like myself and my fellows.)

3. Which twist melted your brain?

No question about this one. The fact that Hook was a Dark One in season 5 was definitely the twist that shocked me the most. I totally didn’t see that one coming!

4. How would you fix your least favorite character arc or storyline?

Okay, so I would say my one of my least favorite storylines was the CS drama in season 6. (Specifically the whole sequence from finding out Killian killed David’s father, all the way to Emma being convinced he’d left her.)

Why I didn’t like it:

1. It was pointless drama for drama’s sake. It did nothing to move their storyline, and it did nothing to move their characters. It was pure and simple the writers tossing one last roadblock at them before their wedding because…*shrug*

2. David’s Dad Killian murdering David’s father in the first place made no sense. He was unquestionably a villain at the time, and he did terrible, indefensible things. I fully acknowledge that, but aside from that incident, he always had a reason for it–maybe a bad reason, but a reason. He always had that sense of honor and good form. In this instance….he killed Robert because he witnessed Killian killing the kings guards and “dead men tell no tales.” Um…since when would Killian care if people knew he killed kings guards? Wouldn’t the news getting out even be a good thing for a pirate? Having the reputation of ruthlessness would make pirating that much easier.

3. Emma I get Emma being upset that Killian kept the murder from her out of fear. They do need to communicate with each other and let the other help them carry their burdens. BUT giving his ring back was a step too far…it was also a little bit hypocritical given the fact that she spent the whole first half of the season keeping the prophecy of her death from him.

4. Killian No way Killian decides to just leave, even to better himself, without even telling Emma. Absolutely not going to happen. Writers, what even was that?!!

5. Emma again Okay, so they live in Storybrooke where there’s a new villain every other day. This happened at the time when there was a very specific villain out there targeting Emma and her happiness. That being said, when Killian disappears, you’re telling me the possibility of foul play never even entered Emma’s head? She immediately jumped to “welp, guess he left me….and all his stuff…without a word. Guess I better put his stuff in the shed because he’s clearly never coming back.”? Come on writers! I know Emma has abandonment issues, but she’s smarter than that.

6. Everyone else. Okay, Emma was emotional. Maybe she couldn’t think rationally in the heat of the moment and she jumped to the worst possible conclusion. But what’s everyone else’s excuse? Are you really telling me that after everything they’d all been through together, after Killian literally died for her, after he came back from the dead for her, that they just take him leaving at face value and don’t even consider the possibility something else is at play? If that’s really true, Killian deserves way better from all of them.

What I would have done differently

1. If Killian had to be responsible for David’s dad’s death, it would be for a more believable reason. Maybe King George hired him to be an assassin in exchange for a weapon of some sort to kill the Dark One.

2. When Emma finds Killian burning his memories, she insists they have a real conversation. She listens to him, really listens when he explains why he was trying to burn his memories. It wasn’t just because he was afraid of what she and her parents would think. It was also because he couldn’t stand the man he was back then. They could have then had a very important conversation about their need to stop hiding things from each other, and they could have worked through his self loathing (or made an appointment with Archie to work through it.)

3. That’s…it. No Killian leaving. No Emma thinking he left her for good. No family and friends jumping to the worst conclusions. Just Emma and Killian working through their problems like mature adults in a healthy, loving relationship, and then making up and being sickeningly lovey-dovey about it.

8. What are your feelings about the show’s concept of “true love” and/or TLK?

I think it was inconsistent. In the first season, TL was shown as something rare and special, a once in a lifetime kind of love, and something that only a few couples ever got. By season 6, it was like Oprah. “And you get a TLK! And you get a TLK! And you get a TLK!” No longer was it rare. Sometimes it wasn’t even treated as exclusive. And when we get a rainbow shockwave TLK from Zelena and Hades–when he was basically just using her….I mean, come on! (And don’t even get me started on Brennan Jones sharing TLK with his nurse…when they “met” while he was in a sleeping curse!)

11.Which character do you wish they had stopped “developing”?

Rumple. He was a fantastic villain. He could be truly terrifying and evil beyond words. If he’d come back in season 4 as a full fledged villain, and stayed that way until the end, if he’d been the final villain to defeat to end the series, that could have been amazing. As it was, seasons 4 and 5 contained waaaaayyyyy too much Rumple whining and ostensibly “trying” to be a better person, while still continuing to do terrible things, and then justifying it with terrible excuses. He did decide to embrace the villain thing in season 6, but then he suddenly….was redeemed? That happened way too fast, and was utterly unsatisfying to me.

16. Worst casting decision?

Hm…there are two I can think of that just make me scratch my head.

1. Michael Raymond James as adult Bae/Neal. There’s just….nothing about him that seems like child Bae–in either looks or temperament. or

2. The kid who played young Pinocchio. Seriously, that kid didn’t even remotely look like adult August. Not in the slightest.

YES LITERALLY i watched this episode with some friends and colleagues so i yelled way less at the screen than usual but at this i had no choice!

definitely among the top three things that annoyed me this ep:

3. tyrion being a DUMBASS and yet again uttering the stupidest thoughts ever had in all the seven kingdoms. like how can he still have any hope that cercei would just agree to give up and leave kings landing without having literally no other choice….. i mean, nice plan and he really believed in it and was willing to die for it. but that even 0.0002% of him believed that cercei might just go along with it. FOOL.

2. jaime kingslayer lannister, who slayed aforementioned king because he liked to burn people and jaime knew that wasn’t fucking right, saying he doesn’t care about the people of kings landing. like in many other contexts, ok sure, jaime isn’t a saint and “the people” isn’t in his top priorities etc. but like in the context of they’re in danger of being burned alive. idc so much about the other things people are disappointed with wrt his character arc, but this is … not it.

1. i guess i always kinda thought daenerys would burn shit and go waaaay too far, but this was WAAAAAYYYYY TOO FAR. like there is no way to justify this at all, she just made the most evil choice possible and is now the absolute worst person and most evil character in the show probably. worse than joffrey, worse than ramsey, worse than cercei. literally just killed probably tens of thousands of innocent people for no good reason at all. i don’t even hate the mad queen thing, i just think it should be done with more complexity and better build up.

“C’mon y/n we’re gonna be late,” Sheri called waiting for you outside the bathroom.

She had asked you to help her study for a history exam you both had coming up. Of course, you being the sweetheart you accepted her request. Unknown to you though she actually wanted to get you to the party at Bryce’s house. Her excuse was, “girl, I’ve seen the way you look at Zach and its time you do something about this love crush.”

So in the bathroom you struggled to put on a dress she let you borrow.

As you opened the door you looked down not wanting to see the emotion in Sheri’s eyes, “Sheri this is waaaaayyyyy too short for me. I can’t wear dresses that almost go to my sugar land, especially at a party where there are a ton of horny boys.”

“Y/n, trust me you’ll be fine. I’ll keep on the watch for you, checking up on those horny boys. Plus, you look fantastic and thats what we want, right? Zach maybe can reach that sugar land tonight,” Sheri joked.

You slapped her playfully and grabbed your bag. Sheri said she would watch out for you, but that night was a night you thought maybe going to this party was a mistake.

As you and Sheri walked up the driveway to Bryce’s party a couple of boys ran in front of you both. Acting silly, and of course it was evident that they were drunk. Your stomach was turning and in the back of your mind you questioned whether this was such a good idea.

Sheri noticed your nervousness and grabbed your arm, “hey y/n, look just have one drink for me, then I promise I’ll take you home. Deal?”

You glanced around the house, straightened your back, put on your big girl panties on and strutted inside the house. You were going to own this night.

As you searched around the room you noticed some familiar faces from school and some new ones.

“Wow y/n, I’m surprised to see you here. I didn’t know you come to parties,” your friend from Liberty High, Clay Jensen said.

You chuckled, “I didn’t know you come to these dumb things either. Plus I was forced to go.” You pointed to Sheri who was drinking already and laughing with a group of girls. “History exam.”

Clay nodded and said his goodbyes. Great, now what were you supposed to do. You looked like an idiot, just standing near the wall by yourself. That was when you saw in the distance the tall Zach Dempsey.

“Oh my god y/n, avoid eye contact at all cost. If he doesn’t catch you staring like all those other times he won’t come over here,” you thought to yourself. You looked to the side at some fake, odd, looking plant. Your mistake was you thought Zach was gone but when you went back to look at him he was still there! And his attention was on you.

“Oh sweet jesus,” you prayed aloud. You thought maybe you should pretend to talk on the phone but as you rummaged through your purse you realized you forgot the dang thing.

“Hey y/n,” a voice called from above you.

“If only that was god,” you thought in your head. “Heyyyyyy Zach. What brings you here?”

“Well its a party...so.”

Your eyes were opened wide and you plastered on this anxious, nervous, fake smile. All truthfulness you looked like you just peed your pants.

“Are you okay y/n?”

“Me? Oh yeah,” you waved his concern off, “I’m fine. Just not the party type. I just came here for a friend I’m helping Sheri study for her history exam.”

“Yeah I saw you came in with Sheri. By the way you look amazing in that dress. Your like the best dressed in the whole house.”

“Thanks,” you said awkwardly pulling down the fabric. “I mean its not mine, its Sheri’s, but you think its too much? I mean its just a party and I came all dolled up when everyone is either wearing jeans or skirts.”

“No! I mean no, I think you look perfect.”

You smiled all flustered at his compliments.

“Hey listen y/n if ever you want to-”

“Whats up bro and...y/n l/n? Wow didn’t think I’d ever catch you here.”

Bryce, Bryce Walker (lol i feel like veronica in heathers)

“Me neither,” you said trying to get out of the conversation. Rumors have spread like fire about Bryce, he was a trouble maker. You did not need that right now, actually how about never.

“Man, y/n you clean yourself up pretty good. I’m so used to seeing you all covered and a good girl. Now you look pretty bad,” Bryce winked at you while licking his lips.

“I kinda regret wearing this dress now,” you muttered under your breath.

Zach was getting angrier and angrier by the minute. He saw how much Bryce was making you uncomfortable and he just would not quit.

“Well, y/n, how bout I show you a good ti-,” Bryce had started to say but you interrupted him with a shriek.

“Oh my god Laura! Whats up cous (cousin)? No I’ll go to you,” you shouted from across the room.

Zach and Bryce’s attention was to where you were pointing and yelling.

“I’m sorry guys to cut the talk short but who would of known my cousin is here. Well, I’ll get to you guys later gotta say hi to her or else I am gonna have some family issues,” you faked laugh.

You did erupt a real laugh though as you left because you didn’t have a cousin here. You just made that up to get the heck out of that conversation! You let go of the breath you had contained inside of you.

Deciding to at least try to enjoy yourself, you grabbed a drink and raised it up to Sheri who was far away. Sheri smiled and clapped, mouthing “good for you.”

“Y/n just take one drink and then you can get the h*** out of here,” you said aloud.

Your stomach started to grumble so you grab a chip and dip it into salsa. You put the whole thing in your mouth.

“Don’t!”

You turn around to see Jeff Atkins (rip😭) , the sayings were true, he was handsome. You almost choke on your chip at his presence.

“Atkins! Boy you scared the crap out of me,” you exclaimed.

Jeff just giggled, “I’m sorry y/n.”

You shook yourself and regained your composure, “anyways, why did you say don’t?”

“That salsa had marijuana in it, I mean I’m not gonna judge or anything but that s**** strong. So just be careful.”

Your eyes almost bugged out of your head. You put the salsa and chip down and tried to take the left overs out of your mouth.

“I saw you checkin out Zach.”

“Oh my god you too! What is it with people being interested with who I like and don’t? It’s like everyone wants to know!”

“Go after him,” Jeff said leaning against the counter.

“What?”

Jeff gets closer, “hey I’m no matchmaker but, I can tell he likes you trust me I’m a guy. I know. Just go back to him and talk. Its better to talk outside so nobody can disturb you,” Jeff wiggled his eyebrows.

“First of all Jeff ewww, no, me and Zach are not doing the do. I just have a crush on him! Can it be that before we make it into teen mom. Second, you say you’re no matchmaker but you sure as h*** always try to be one. Third, I tried to talk to him and I get so nervous I sweat like a waterfall under my armpits! And fourth of all what do you know about girls?”

Jeff just shrugged, “trust me y/n. My advice will come handy one day. One day.”

You shook your head, “silly.”

Again, alone you stood by the drinks. You downed the last of the liquid and had the urge to use the bathroom. As you go to there, you see there is not a soul in sight.

“Finally, peace and quiet. I mean who would gather around and talk around the bathroom, thats just gross.”

As you opened the door to the restrooms you felt a hand on the lower part of your back. You quickly snap in the direction of the hand and see that it is Bryce.

“H-hey dude,” you said trying to sound confident and not frightened.

“Hey y/n. I wanted to finish what I started earlier. That dress it just makes the animal come out of me,” Bryce’s hands were roaming all over your body.

“Animals, I love animals. Why don’t we talk about some, like whats your favorite?”

“I much rather do this to you,” Bryce wore a smirk the whole way through. “You’re so sexy y/n, especially in this dress. How about I take it off of you?”

“Bryce quit it!” You were starting to panic. You tried to pry him off you but he was too strong. You did not want this, Sheri said she would protect you, watch out for you. “Bryce stop it!” But Bryce would not. Instead, every time you said something he would become more handsy.

“I know you want this y/n. You’re just urging for me to be inside you,” he whispered in your ear, biting your earlobe. Then he grabbed your face harshly to kiss you.

Your face squirmed in disgust, you tried to kick him in the groin but he grabbed your leg. This was it you were going to be raped on this day. Tears started to form in your eyes. You were scared no terrified at this moment. After he finished making out with you, he zipped down his pants.

Bryce kept you in a death grip. “Someone please help me! Sheri, Jeff, Zach, Clay, someone please help,” you cried in horror.

Bryce lifted your dress up and you were sobbing and asking him to stop. Just as Bryce was about to pull down his pants Zach came to view.

Zach’s eyes widened in shock. “Dude what the f*** are you doing to her?”

“C’mon Zack were just having a little fun. Right y/n?”

You shook your head into a no, tears staining your cheeks. “Bryce tried to rape me! You pig!”

“Bryce let her go,” Zach barked out.

Bryce then grabbed your butt with a smirk and massaged it. Everything went so quickly. Zach lunged for Bryce and Bryce let go of you. Zach punched Bryce’s stomach while Bryce tried to elbow Zach’s face.

Zach tackled Bryce down, Zach on top, started pounding and smashing Bryce’s face. Zach’s face was red of anger. He was so irate and so mad, that all he could do was scream and say “leave her alone.”

All you could do was stand, the moments before this fighting were still fresh in your mind. It replayed like a movie. You looked down at your hands and they were shaking. “Zach please stop!”

You knew Bryce was the golden child of the school, heck the whole neighborhood. If they saw what Zach did to Bryce Zach would have consequences even if he did what was right. Zach would get blamed.

“Please, Zach stop.”

Zach stood up harshly and looked at your face. He looked as if he could almost cry. Bryce laid on the ground moaning and groaning in pain. Blood spilling from his nose and the cut on his lips. His eyes starting to become swollen.

Zach ran to you and hugged you, “I’m so sorry y/n I wasn’t here earlier.”

“No you came just in time. Thank you Zach.”

Clay and many other kids came to see what was all the commotion.

Well you took Jeff’s advice. You led Zach outside to talk to him about the matter.

“I just wanted to say Zach, thank you.”

“I’m sorry I wasn’t there to protect you. I should of been there by your side, I should of known what would-”

“Zach! Stop! You could not have done anything more than what you did. And even if Bryce would of done that detestable thing I still would like you.”

You quickly place your palm on your mouth. Did you just say that out loud?

“You like me,” Zach questioned.

You sheepishly looked down, then grabbed his much more bigger hand in yours, “yes Zach I do.”

Zach looked at you with an overjoyed expression. He inched closer to you putting his hoodie on your back. He gave you a toothy grin, squeezing your hand a little.

“Hey you maybe wanna go hang out some time? I also need help on studying my history exam.”

You laughed and nodded, “I’d really like that.”

Peanut oh my god you flatter me everytime you hit me up with questions good lord–

4. Favourite character you’ve written?

Well, I can say that writing Keith will forever be my favourite character, even if he isn’t really mine. I see a lot of myself in Keith, things like how I struggle showing the softer emotions (or hiding them when they get to be too strong), I don’t always get references, and how he’s incredibly awkward in new social situations. I just, wow, Keith is someone I will ALWAYS enjoy writing and coming back to on rainy days to enjoy. But I do have a few OCs, two, to be exact. The one OC I love writing about is Kiryn, a character Rose and I created for Dolorosa, our angst fic. He was created to become the new Blue Paladin [goddamn we started planning that fic like, waaaaayyyyy before season 2] and as a bit of a … Challenge for Lance and Keith in their relationship. Kiryn is certainly a shit disturber, but he’s also loyal to a fault, and is passionate about everything he does, which is something I definitely relate to. Ugh, I love both of my boys…

8. Favourite genre to write?

As much as I love angst, give me a good fluff setting any day. The more cliche, THE BETTER!!! Coffee shop au, fake datnig au, married au… I love it all, and I love writing it even more. Honestly, as a writer, I love making people smile, even if it’s through something that’s been done a thousand times.

18. Were there any works you read that affected you so much that it influenced your writing style? What were they?

Well, I can honestly say that two fics in the Supernatural fandom inspired me to write… The very well known Twist and Shout, and Blackbird. I read both as they were still updating, and wow, seeing the scenery come to life in my head as I was reading was something I aspired to do myself. I know my older fics are definitely fics I don’t look back on with fond memories… As much as I enjoyed writing them, my writing started at a very low point. But, I do see how much I’ve improved in the past year and a half I’ve been writing. A bunch of writers have inspired me as well in the Voltron fandom, particularly @plumeriafairy14 and @skaylanphear with their various works. Seeing those two amazing ladies write new work and bring new ideas to the table inspires me to do better and be a better writer for others. Who knows, maybe one day my writing will be an inspiration to others like theirs have been to me!

Well

Last week was a bit of a shit show to say the least, culminating in tears at work on Friday #soprofessional and basically just telling then I needed Monday off and wouldn't be in. Sidenote, very fortunate as a crane fell into the carpark of our Chch office so glad I didn't have to deal with that one WOOP

Looking back, it was definitely a stressful week, but oh my God the amount of sugar I consumed during the week, and lack of activity, and the amount of time I spent looking after other people and the pms and like, just the volume of sugar I'm not really surprised it ended in total meltdown?

We spent the week in NAV training which is our finance software but a) I don't do finance and b) I'd literally never seen this software in action before so I knew it was going to be overwhelming but holy heck there's only so many stupid questions you can ask, and trying to learn finance and new software in one big hit was really really hard. And poor Murray on Friday with me in tears was like ummmmm maybe I dropped you too far in the deep end perhaps and I kind of just agreed because it was a bloody hard week.

Added to that was the fact that I bought a bunch of snacks and the finance team are bloody chocolate fiends (I bought museli bars and le snaks and rice crackers etc and they're literally untouched) but 10 bags of party sized chocolates have disappeared. So waaaaayyyyy over my normal sugar consumption and I have a very funny feeling that that's half of what triggered the absolute meltdown mode combined with hormones. So future learning for me there. Anyway.

Tory left and had her last day on Friday and we had drinks and Rhys asked me how the day was quite jovially to which I said it was fucking shite and I was bloody delighted not to have to come in on monday and a) I forget he's the CEO and I should probably be nice but fuck it and b) apparently he'd been oblivious to my early situation and was like WHAT NO and got really upset I'd had such a bad day which was quite nice. Poor dude. He'll live. I've been giving him shit all day today and he said he was glad the day off did me good so that was nice.

The weekend was quite quiet and relaxing, and having yesterday off was bloody delightful. I got to sit in the garden in the sun reading my book for a couple of hours and bought new sports bras and sorted out my budget and did some washing and drank a lot of coffee and got a couple of new sports tops and other good things. A+ definitely needed it and it definitely fulfilled everything I wanted.

We settle on the house next Monday and I'm very stressed about money and mortgage payments and just how life is going to shape up in terms of affording everything. I just have to be patient and realise I can't do everything now and it's just going to take a while to figure it all out.

I've been getting the incessant drifting feeling lately like I'm not really going anywhere or doing anything or building a career or making any decent money and I don't really know what to do about it. It might be time to go and see the careers lady again but who has a spare $750 for that ya know? I also need to buy a coffee machine lol I'm going to be so depressed when Dad takes his back. Not good mate not bloody good.

In good news personal training is going well and I went to the gym again today and I can see some muscles in my legs so I'm counting that as a win. Haven't bothered to weigh myself and don't think I'm gonna because it's only going to depress me and who needs that when I'm (meltdown excluded) feeling a whole lot better ya know?? #itsallrelative

That's about all for life at the moment I guess. Just keep going round in circles and relearning the same things over and over at different levels and internalising them more each time. Good times.

ETA: I'm also really fucking proud of myself for asking for time off as well?? Most of the time I'm all suck it up buttercup but actually.... Nope.

Murray sent me a text on Friday saying thanks for showing up to drinks and he wouldn't ask me to do anything he didn't think I was capable of and all I could think was of course I showed up for drinks I show up for everyone else all the damn time I just never show up for myself but THIS TIME I DID GO ME.
