Changing Power at Poughkeepsie While headed to NYC on the Lake Shore Limited, the train stopped at Poughkeepsie, New York, to change power; the rail line here was formerly the New York Central. Unfortunately, I don’t know what was on point of the train from Rochester (where I got on) to this spot, but from here on in to Grand Central Terminal, it would be an EMD FL9. This locomotive, truly a unique model, was designed for use on the New York, New Haven and Hartford Railroad, specifically with GCT in mind. The locomotive could run as a normal diesel-electric does, but also use the electricity of a third-rail (either over or under the shoe) so as to not spew exhaust in the tunnels under Park Avenue as well as in the station itself. There were sixty of these produced; they remarkable for their B-A1A wheel configuration. After the New Haven was folded into the Penn Central, the use of this engine type expanded to the Hudson Valley line, as we see here. Besides what was happening with my train, there is a Rail Diesel Car in the station; RDCs were built by the Budd Company of Philadelphia between 1949 and 1962. I believe these interesting self-propelled units were used for local service on the various Conrail commuter lines north of NYC; Metro North would take over these lines in 1983. I’m gonna go on a rant about RDC let’s go!

- RDC doesn’t really like Mk, like at all. They don’t have a reason and he has seen him going around and saving the city and stuff he just doesn’t like Mk.

-The reason RDC hides his ears is not only because they are the most sensitive part of his body but also because they are humongous. For those who don’t know his grandfather (Oliver) was a bunny and his grandmother (Sabi) was a hare and for those who don’t know have huge ears!

-RDC’s ears go down to his waist for those who don’t know and RDC is 5’3 and with his ears is 8’4 he’s his ears are 3’1 long. I am well aware and I love it deal with it

-RDC learned how to climb ceiling by watching rock climbers and such

-RDC also has a rock climbing habit and just climbs things because of it.

-RDC is pansexual. They aren’t really into dating at the moment but he shall see a character and get the closest thing to a crush as he can get and just obsess over which you could argue is just a hyper fixation

-RDC has the tendency to just stare, and stare alone. They won’t speak they will just stare, and judge. Just judge

-they both steal and trade for their vapes, they don’t care much about where they get them or what flavor they are but their favorite flavor is Raspberry. Raspberry is also their favorite snack

-they will zone out so much, if your boring them they will just zone out with no warning and will only snap out of it when something interesting happens

-The only reason they can control themselves is because of the their vapes and other substances. They honestly think that without them they will hurt people and that’s honestly something they hate the thought of.

-RDC pretends to be so bad and terrible but they love Dark and Redson to the point where one insult from anyone will get you on his hit list and trust me it’s shrinking know that they don’t have to worry about eating anymore
