‘Ripples of Influence’ as it pertains to the far reaching effects of the actions of characters is interesting to look at. While many times we analyze the negative consequences of their actions, we rarely explore the positive, other than maybe in AU scenarios.
For Jon Snow, the ripples of his actions that touch other characters:
His argument to Ned Stark about the Direwolf pups being meant for House Stark and the Stark kids meant that the Stark kids get these fearsome beasts that protect them and awaken their warging powers. Summer and Nymeria step in to defend Bran and Arya and Bran’s entire 3ER journey starts with Summer.
Giving Needle to Arya and ‘Stick em’ with the pointy end’ and ‘Needle was Jon Snow’s smile‘. She uses Needle to escape Kings Landing and Cersei. Needle is a big part of her identity as Arya Stark of Winterfell and she hides it when the Faceless Men demand she become No One and will play a big part in her reclaiming her identity.
Saving Samwell Tarly by finding him a position with Maester Aemon. Sending him to the Citadel to find out more information on how to defeat the Others. And in turn Samwell helps him become Lord Commander.
Sending Mance to save Arya which leads to Abel the Bard and his spearwives in Winterfell trying to save ‘Arya’ which leads to Theon and Jeyne’s escape from Ramsay Bolton and Theon finally uniting with Asha Greyjoy. The unintended consequence of Jon Snow’s actions results in both Theon and Jeyne being able to get away from the torture being inflicted on them by the Boltons. Plus, it’s Jon who advises Stannis to attack Deepwood Motte instead of the Dreadfort which results in Asha Greyjoy being in Stannis’ march to Winterfell.
The creation of a new house in the North - House Thenn - beginning the proper integration of the Freefolk in the North. We have a new kind of warrior in the North defending the Northmen from enemies and remaking new alliances and friends.
The Night’s Watch itself is now different as an institution after 8000 years. Freefolk and spearwives are now in charge of abandoned castles and it’s now as alive as it used to be in the days of yore.
The castle Jon returned to was far different from the one he’d left  that morning. For as long as he had known it, Castle Black had been a  place of silence and shadows, where a meagre company of men in black moved like ghosts amongst the ruins of a fortress that had once housed ten times their numbered. All that had changed. Lights now shone through  windows where Jon Snow had never seen lights shine before. Strange voices echoed down the yards, and free folk were coming and going along icy paths that had only known the black boots of crows for years. Outside the old Flint Barracks, he came across a dozen men pelting one another with snow. Playing, Jon thought in astonishment, grown men  playing like children, throwing snowballs the way Bran and Arya once  did, and Robb and me before them.”   - Jon, ADwD

Who do you think wins in a cooking fight with Gordon Ramsay as the judge? Emiya, Ryougi or Kohaku
Shirou. Kohaku's a good cook but she's more of a mad scientist. The Tsukihime Remake added extra emphasis on her cooking abilities, but Shirou had a whole spinoff based on how amazing he is in the kitchen.
Ryougi's a surprisingly decent cook, but also she's a spoiled rich kid that can barely take care of herself and almost certainly won't cook for others (besides her cameo in Carnival Phantasm). In Extra Chorus, Mikiya has to ask Azaka to bring her food while he's out working because he's afraid Shiki will starve otherwise.

Final Fantasy VII Remnants
Warnings: Language tbh 💀 also these are personal headcannons and opinions.
Gifs aren’t mine.
Tumblr media
Also, I’m going to start taking writing request. I’ll probably post my rules and list of characters and fandoms I plan on writing for after this, but if your interested in anything/everything ff7, send me a request lol
Yazoo:
Tumblr media
Yazoo is definitely the part of Sephiroth who can cook.
Mostly for the fact that he appreciates his silence, and having the kitchen to himself.
In truth, he’d prefer not to cook and rather get his food from somewhere else.
When he does cook however, his meals are surprisingly good.
He by far isn't some Gordan Ramsay or master chef of the ff7 universe, but he can follow directions of cook book and actually have the dish come out tasting like what it's supposed to taste like.
The only thing he does suck at, is baking so if his brothers, (or you or your OC) have a mean sweet tooth, the most he can do is pick up the pastries you like from a good bakery.
Kadaj:
Tumblr media
"Do I look like a chef to you?" -Kadaj after he made canned soup for his dinner night in the microwave.
It's because of this, he got removed from the calendar and it got split up between Loz and Yazoo (or you got his days depending on your cooking abilities)
He has to constantly be reminded to eat due to the fact he's constantly distracted by whatever task he's tasked himself with, and when he does it's something simple that doesn't involve a mess on his end he doesn't want to clean.
Kadaj is greedy, (not surprising considering he again is the part of Sephiroth who craves control due to it being something Sephiroth was robbed of in his life) and any cooked leftovers that get put in a container, he will devour and not think twice.
Oh? There was like seventeen tacos leftover from dinner last night that you were looking forward to eating for lunch? Well, there gone now.
Because of this, it's the one thing that will cause Loz and Yazoo to put their differences aside, and team up and kick his ass about.
He doesn't really have a sweet tooth, and due to his lack of effort for preparing meals, he could care less about dessert.
However, you might want to hide any pastries you get because despite his lack of having a sweet tooth, if he's hungry, he'll finish it all.
Loz:
Tumblr media
Like Yazoo, funnily enough he can "cook"however his meals are fairly basic.
Definitely doesn't follow instructions.
If he wants something like pizza, he'll buy a frozen one and put it in the oven and call it a day, or go to a fast food place to pick up dinner for the most part.
Like Kadaj, he’s greedy as well, but more so in the sense that when he cooks, he mainly prepares his food for himself.
“I made/bought it, so I can get more if I want to!” -Loz after Yazoo tried to package the leftovers and put them away.
Gets upset if no one asks him if they can have any of the leftovers no matter how much there is. You could literally just get a spoon and if he notices it’s been touched, he immediately is going around asking who touched it.
Bonus:
Cloud:
Tumblr media
Can cook, however flat out refuses if it’s possible that someone else can.
He can’t cook well, but he can make spaghetti, or cook a burger or something.
He’s one of those people who will eat something he likes, and if he’s put in a situation where he absolutely has to cook, he’ll try to remake it following a recipe he found about it, but is ultimately disappointed because it doesn’t quite taste like when he first had it.
Even though other people who eat his food thinks it’s amazing. 💀
For the most part, he eats out whether that be going to the bar and Tifa making him something to eat, or finding a restaurant.
Of course he doesn’t eat at the restaurant unless he’s with friends, but fast food sometimes makes him sick.
He could care less about others eating any leftovers of his creation, but if he has something leftover from either Tifa, or something he bought, he’s going to be pissed.
Overall, he’s very picky and precise.

so i lost the list of reasons why ur muse should work at the diner, but god as my witness, i’m here to remake it. maybe even improve on it! so here we go:
the pay is INSANELY good. like, recent numbers reflect that nyc’s minimum wage is rising to 15 bucks, but i feel like aisling might have accidentally panicked and told someone once it was 20 dollars an hour at the diner, and then after some discussion and HUGE outrage from richard’s elitist family, aisling, richard and stanley all agreed the pay would be $22.50 an hour. and that’s just the minimum. “oh, that’s not realistic.” guess what bestie, the very NOTION that aisling can afford an apartment in manhattan even with her billions of euros in inheritance is unrealistic, this is just reasonable and necessary.
diner squad meals. it doesn’t matter how long the shift is, or when the shift is; someone will be working in the kitchen, and as long as stanley or richard or aisling are alive, you will be fed like kings, queens or unanimously elected monarchs! if henri is in the kitchen, he prefers to cook french food, german food, or fusion food that combines these two fields of cooking. coq au vin, schnitzel, french onion soup, hand-made bratwurst. if aisling is in the kitchen, she’s more of a by-the-mood cook, but it’s often italian or irish food, so irish stews, colcannon, pizza, spaghetti bolognese. and if stanley is cooking, it’s dad food. burgers, hot dogs, tomato soup, grilled cheese. ramsay prefers spanish and mexican food, but it’s always a comfort dish. tacos, quesadillas, paella.
flexible hours. none of that “14 hour minimum” bullshit, you can choose whatever hours you want, and you can cancel last minute, it won’t matter to them. aisling can and will cover people’s shifts. so will nate, even if he grumbles about it. they will insist you go home and get some sleep if you’re struggling, but there’s no punishment in store for anyone who wants to work one hour this week and 74 next week.
team-building exercises. basically an excuse to go to the lake cabin. it’s nice, though; no trust falls, just everyone sitting together around a bonfire and eating cheeseburgers and laughing at that one insufferable customer who made stanley nearly quit.
you get to meet very interesting people. literally. goddesses, aliens, members of royalty, agents in MI6, agents in the CIA, superheroes, supervillains, criminals, people from other timelines. you’d be forgiven for assuming morality would repel many of the morally darker characters, but it’s unanimously agreed that there won’t be any violence on the diner grounds.
unless you’re the company of v. they attack infrequently. but that’s how you get to meet the superheroes, so it balances out.
the uniform? literally whatever u want. you don’t even need to wear the nametag. but henri insists on long trousers and covered shoes in the kitchen, so be warned.
diner squad vacations. yeah! stanley made a fortune on a cookbook he published in the nineties, richard comes from OLD money, and aisling has several billion dollars in a bank in ireland. leo likes to be in charge of the vacation locations. last year it was koh samui. the year before it was sicily.

Week 4: Digital Community and Fandom: A Reality TV Case Study
Reality TV has been a dominant form of television programming for the last 20 years. It includes gamedocs, dating programs, makeover/lifestyle, docusoaps, talent contests, court programs, reality sitcoms, and celebrity based programs (Murray and Ouellette 2009). Reality television is a genre that is designed to elicit talk and shared opinions ... not only in terms of judging the participants' behaviors but also by speculating on the authenticity of what they are watching. This talk is not only found in homes, workplaces and schools, but also proliferates online in forums, web comments, blogs, vlogs and social media' (Deller 2019). In the mid-late 2000s, the emergence of competitors in the form of social networking sites such as Facebook, MySpace and especially Twitter. While reality is a genre that privileges ‘liveness’, on Twitter, the liveness is often enhanced by on-screen hashtags during broadcasts. One of the attractions of Twitter is the presence not only of the audience but also of producers, hosts, experts or actors and guests participating in the program who also tweet their viewing ( Deller, 2011).
Social Media opens up new markets and audiences and the memes and GIFs from these shows. People who join these shows can get a chance for fame, image and self-presentation online.
Tumblr media
Take for example famous chef Gordon Ramsay's show Hell's Kitchen. Thanks to the success and maintenance of appeal after 20 seasons of this show, Gordon Ramsay - the show's brand character - has become a highly influential chef on social networking platforms and has become more and more popular through memes, gifs on social networking platforms like Twitter, Facebook...

What I watched in January!!
January was a very positive month for movies that I watched mostly on tubi but I found a few dvds in my grandparents house that i had not watched yet. gonna be honest been battling being sick and cough medicine puts me to sleep very easily so i watched most of these while half asleep and most of them deserve a rewatch
The Blob (1988) 7/10
I know i am not alone in this opinion but the 90s version of The Blob is my favorite version.
Brain Damage 4/10
The parasite puppet monster is low budget but a very fun character and the way it attaches and injects it's victims is actually a really nice practical effect. now as for the plot it is the most unsubtle and dumb drugs bad police violence good plot but with an accidental pro suicide message. also has a weird amount of lore and backstory.
Pulse (2006) 6/10
western remake of an asian movie but the vibe kind of check out on this one. plus the original was not available.
The Barn 5/10
i am a chaotic person by nature but when it comes to horror movies and Halloween lore i enjoy the internal rules. the aesthetic and plot of this one don't cut it for me tho.
Wizards of The Lost Kingdom 3/10
don't let my low rating fool you this very well may be a must watch for the sword and sorcery genre.
this movie is a mish mash of extremely low budget childrens fantasy film, sfw clips from much more violent and sexual fantasy films, and one weirdly expensive looking insect woman monster that appears for 2 minutes for no reason
Bad Moon 6/10
bad moon is a very good werewolf movie I get how it might not have stuck the landing for a lot of people but it deserves a place on more top 10 werwolf movie lists
Witchery 5/10
like David Hasselhoff? Like foreign films? neutral on both how about a bunch of old crone style witches killing and torturing people in very thematic ways?
Black Roses 4/10
not going to lie when I start a horror movie and the Troma logo pops up it makes my fight or flight instinct kick in now.
the Void 8/10
Mirror Mirror 5/10
Reign of Fire 6/10
my silly child self avoided this film for some dumb reasons. anyway it is a pretty good movie my only criticism is the dragons needed way more screen time. but i understand the limitations and they probably would not have looked good if they stayed on screen much longer.
the Axiom 6/10
Tales of Terror 7/10
one of the best Edgar Allen Poe horror anthology films. Vincent Price and Peter Lorre always go well in Poe stories.
Nightbeast 5/10
as a child i remember watching a movie about an extremely violent and murderous creature with big teeth and maybe horns that i though was bigfoot or some other ape. i thought maybe it was this film but i am still unsure
Centipede! 5/10
I think one big centipede instead of many less big centipedes was an odd choice.
Attack the Block (2011) 7/10
this might be one of my favorite alien invasion movies. Like Gordon Ramsay and Julian Sands ( hope they find him safe btw) this movie is immune to being criticized for it's British nature
Memories (1995) 7/10
another step down the rabbit hole of beautifully animated anime anthology films that i think are by the same people that did Akira.
the stories were not as memorable as Robot Carnival but some of them were very good. can't wait to find more like this.
Jack Brooks Monster Slayer 6/10
this is a fun movie about not holding in your emotions until you explode and using your rage constructively. title could be misleading as it is in theory mostly backstory as he does not channel his rage into slaying monsters until the last 10 minutes or so.
Shakma 5/10
I almost always feel bad when an animal is hurt in a movie but I do actually really enjoy " man vs nature" genre of horror films. there is also a very strange and kind of roleplaying game going on for part of the movie.
the Client 6/10
2 young boys witness a suicide and some mafia secrets and one of them seeks out the protection of a lawyer, the lawyer is a woman with her own tragic backstory so they spend a lot of the movie shifting back and forth from bonding to fighting with each other while the mob and the crooked cops are after them.
not my usual type of movie but it was very compelling.
Ghost Ship 6/10
Necropolis 5/10
Nightwish 4/10
the Giant Claw 5/10
I just really enjoy the design of monster in this movie, i won't lie and say i was at all engaged by the plot but the dark matter force field around the monster was also a fun idea.
1408 5/10
the Phantom Empire 4/10
do you like dominant women in leather outfits? cave women? cave dwelling cannibals that look kind of like Morlocks from the time machine movies? great watch this movie.
now i will say this one is kind of boring and is mostly just walking and running around in a big cavern.
20 Million Miles to Earth 6/10
One of the few Ray Harryhausen movies I had not watched yet and I am very glad to be closer to watching them all
Beyond The Black Rainbow 5/10
the Monster 6/10
how dare this movie reflect some of my own unresolved emotional trauma. monster could have used a little more screen time subtlety is great but I like visuals.
Splinter 6/10
these parasite infected zombies have spikes and other nasty tricks a fun horror movie all around.

MoViews - Jurassic World: Dominion (2022)
Reportedly, this is the 'closing' of the saga that started with Steven Spielberg's interpretation of the amazing book by Michael Crichton of the same name. Many of you have heard me tell the story of how the movie disappointed me greatly, having read and loved the book. That was the eye-opening experience that made me look at books and movies completely differently, and not expecting any movie to be even close to the incredible things a book can bring.
MILD SPOILERS AHEAD - Consider yourself warned.
This film brings together the cast of the two different trilogies: Jurassic Park and Jurassic World, closing the loop in a way that the fans will be happy to witness. The nostalgic elements are strong, like the original Barbasol can and the T-Rex 'casually' walking past a circle that 'unintentionally' resembles the logo of Jurassic Park in the flesh.
The cast works well together, and the pairings are smart, joining Dr. Sattler with Claire, Dr. Grant with Owen, and Ian Malcolm with Ramsay. There are also some diversity and inclusion wins, with POC being heroes instead of lunch. The score also combines the original theme with Giaccino's own, delivering a good blend of music from both trilogies.
What I must say impressed me the most about this iteration was the diversity of the dinosaurs involved. It doesn't only combine the original T-Rex, Raptors, Dilophosauroses and Compys with some of the aberrations created by Dr. Wu for Jurassic World - but it brings new species plucked directly out of the dinosaur books I enjoyed in my younger years: Pyroraptor, Dimetrodon, Therizinosaurus, and even one that I didn't know before, named after the Aztec god Quetzalcoatl (the feathered serpent), Quetzalcoatlus. The special effects had a lot to do with this - even if you could tell which dinos were digital and which ones were puppeteered.
The story was probably the least interesting part of the movie. The first third feels like a Bond movie (evil multimillionaire villain included) and seems to complicate a very simple story layout. The second and third thirds are a rehash of the previous JP movies, with remakes of popular scenes like the jeeps and the power grid of the original trilogy and the jungle chase scenes from the second trilogy.
All in all, it was an enjoyable time at the movies.
Mi opinión: Go See It (2 out of 3).
He Dicho.

Class 1-A Cooking Headcanons
Tumblr media
How The students of Class 1-A behave in the kitchen. Are they on par with Gordon Ramsay? Can they boil an egg correctly? Both? Neither? Find out!
Aka I just really like domestic headcannons, okay?
Aoyama Yuuga
See, Aoyama boasts about how he’s an amazing cook
He’s French, he’s got a reputation to uphold!
But he is useless in the kitchen
Whenever it’s his turn to cook, he goes down to a French bakery just far enough away from the school that people won’t likely go there, and buys food
He will then put whatever he got into the oven or on the stove and tell everyone he made it
The kitchen smells amazing, why would anybody doubt him?
Nobody questions the fantastic soups he serves, or the perfect croissants
The one thing he can do, however, is assemble a mean charcuterie board
He always knows what goes with what
He also knows the best wine pairings for his cheese, but Momo insists they make a tea pairing instead
He is a frequent guest at her tea times with Satou
2/10 he’s cheating
Ashido Mina
Mina is an athlete, and as such eats really healthy
In fact, her favourite foods are Okra and Natto
She’s great at cooking delicious healthy foods and making them taste good
Typically, her cooking is heavy on protein, and she likes cooking with tofu or chicken
She can do very simple baking, and has quite the sweet tooth
She and Satou sometimes make hard candy together, and have a lot of fun
She is very messy when she cooks, and usually walks away without cleaning the kitchen
8/10 for being a healthy queen, and a +1 for being amazing, but -2 for leaving the kitchen a mess
Asui Tsuyu
She is canonically an amazing cook, because of her younger siblings
She is used to hiding veggies in food, and knows how to make even the least appetizing foods seem gourmet
She’s very quick when she cooks, and typically likes to have less-experienced cooks working alongside her so she can a) use it as a time to socialize, and b) help teach her classmates important life skills
She’s very motherly as she cooks, and gentle as she corrects mistakes
If she has to remake something because of someone else’s screw-up, she does so with a smile and uses it as a teaching moment
She and the girls (along with Sero and Kaminari) have a day where they get together after class and make cute little bento snacks for everyone to take to class/internships along with notes covered in motivational quotes
8/10 she’d be fun to cook with
Iida Tenya
This man has been focused on the correct way of being a hero
And he wanted to make his quirk as strong as possible
Aside from his favourite, beef stew, and a few other kitchen staples, the only dishes he knows how to cook have orange in them somehow
His quirk is powered by oranges, he needs as much juice as he can get!
From morning smoothies to delicious salads to meats flavoured with orange, Tenya takes pride in his cooking
The problem is the rest of the class gets sick after their third day of orange-themed meals
But Uraraka found a bin of them on sale so they can all suck it up
If it’s not one of the above staples, or has no orange, Iida can’t make it
He will somehow burn it or otherwise ruin it
Poor bean
7/10 orange you glad I didn’t give him lower?
Uraraka Ochako
Uraraka is the person who can stare into an empty fridge and pull out a three course meal
She knows how to use spices to make even budget foods taste amazing
She’s always put on grocery duty because she can sniff out bargains like a bloodhound
She’s so good at couponing that the store often owes her money when she’s done
She also knows what it’s like to have literally 0 leftover money, so she is also used to having nothing
Lunch at UA is free, which gave her 6 meals a week she could count on
For the other 15, she could survive entirely on one item from the grocery store, like peanut butter or instant noodles
The class does not let her cook when she’s in her second mode, lest they be served a single spoonful of peanut butter for dinner
8/10 for being wholesome, 4/10 for nutritional value please eat full meals!
Ojirou Masahiro
The most average cook
Everything he makes is passable
It’s not amazing, but it’s also not inedible
He often follows recipes
Gets a little obsessive with the ingredients of the recipe
Cooks slowly because he wants to do everything right
Typically he and Hagakure cook together
5/10 for an average cook
Kaminari Denki
He was pre-emptively banned from the kitchen because everyone was worried he would short out all of the appliances
Nobody thinks he can cook but is actually a chef that could give Bakugou a run for his money
Once came out of the kitchen holding his “masterpiece” which was a triple decker pb and j that he’d stuck into the class’s panini press, ruining it (Momo made a new one and Aizawa never found out)
He cooks almost exclusively at 3 am and cleans the kitchen so well nobody knows that he was ever there
Likes cooking western food like grilled cheese, burgers, and mac and cheese, but when he’s in the mood, he can cook up a mean traditional meal
He likes fusion cuisine, and he likes changing what he cooks up regularly so he’s never bored
The person who finds him cooking so late is either someone who wouldn’t care, like Todoroki or Deku, or someone nobody would ever believe, like Mina or Mineta
Sero knows too, but hasn’t ratted him out because Kaminari’s food is amazing when he has the munchies
11/10 for midnight shenanigans
Kirishima Eijirou
Kirishima cannot cook to save his life
Everything is always over seasoned and extreme, and he often burns things
That is, unless he’s barbecuing
He and Tetsutetsu both barbecue together, and they consider it super manly
He can do any style of barbecue: Korean, American, Australian, Mongolian, you name it!
He can also make pretty much any type of dish (he usually gets help from his buddy Bakugou with the prep cooking if it’s involved)
He also loves cooking over a campfire because he thinks that is also super manly
He and Tetsutetsu hype one another up before they grill
Once a week Classes A and B get together for a big BBQ meal, with Kendou and Bakugou helping with the cooking (Kendou is the only one from Class B who cooks, as the class’s big sister)
Most of what he cooks has lots of meat in it, but he always makes sure to grill something plant-based for Koda, the class’s only vegetarian/vegan
9/10 for manly grilling, +1 for caring about dietary restrictions, +4 for being my husband
Koda Koji
Koda is vegetarian/vegan
He doesn’t eat meat at all, and when he’s going to consume animal products, he makes sure to get the animal’s consent first (fun fact: this is why some people consider breast milk to be vegan, because the woman producing it can give consent for it to be consumed!)
Due to his quirk, he’s allowed to keep animals on the school’s premises, and because of this has access to lots of resources for cooking
He’s got a coop of chickens that lay eggs, a cow that produces milk, and he also has a small garden that he maintains to grow fresh vegetables to feed them with
Ibara helps him maintain it, and absolutely adores playing with his animals, though she’d never admit that
Whoever is cooking will usually make a portion of food without meat for Koda, but he’s equally happy to make it for himself
He’s often in the kitchen baking treats for his animals (which Kaminari usually steals a few of and eats, even if he finds them gross)
11/10 please protect this precious angel
Satou Rikidou
He’s amazing at making anything sweet
He usually transforms savoury dishes into sweet ones by adding ingredients like maple syrup and lots of fruits
His meals are always calorie bombs, and he typically bakes a cake or some other treat if it’s someone’s birthday
He bakes something every day, and he’s more than happy to share, or teach someone how to bake a special treat, he doesn’t mind the company!
He and Momo have tea dates every day, and he provides the snacks!
She tells him what tea they’ll have in advance so he can pair with it, or she’ll make a pairing if he baked his treat first
Kaminari once convinced him he wanted to bake cupcakes for Jirou with him, but Satou ended up doing all the work while Kaminari iced them with backwards treble clefs
Bakes sweets for classmates to cheer them up on hard days
As Koda is one of his best friends, he often has something vegan for him to enjoy on hand. He also often bakes with the ingredients that Koda’s animals produce (another fun fact: salmonella is non-existent in japan, so you can eat raw eggs!)
10/10 please share your delicious baked goods with me
Shouji Mezou
He cannot cook anything on his own, but he is amazing at following directions and recipes
Many hands make for light work, so he’s the fastest cook in the class
He is also usually on duty for larger meals
He’s great at tasting and telling you when a dish is missing something, but not great at knowing what exactly that something is
He’s the best sous chef, and really enjoys cooking as he finds it relaxing
He especially likes doing the prep work, and will often volunteer to help chop veggies or prepare meats even when he’s not supposed to be on dinner rotation.
Please give this boy a hug and tell him he did a good job, he needs more love
10/10 for being the best sous chef, +1 for being a big sweetheart
Kyouka Jirou
Jirou is not interested in cooking
She never has been
She likes to participate in the bento nights purely so she can eat snacks and hang out with her friends
She’s usually practicing one of her instruments as everyone else makes the bentos
She and Momo are usually paired together for dinner duty
And the two of them usually just get the class takeout
3/10 cannot cook and doesn’t want to learn, +5 for being best girl
Sero Hanta
Sero likes to cook exotic foods from all over the world
He has a very adventurous palate, and (Latino Sero rights) he often cooks fusion foods marrying both his Latino and Japanese roots into delicious dishes
He’s the kind of person who will try any food once, and he and Kaminari like to dare one another to eat weird foods
Kirishima is in on it, and will sometimes ask Fatgum for recommendations of weird foods they can enjoy together
Sero also sometimes has Momo make kitchen appliances or utensils solely so he can make one, uber-specific food that he is craving
No, Momo, a tajine is necessary to cook this you don’t understand it’ll be delicious
And he’s right, it’s always delicious
When he’s cooking dinner everyone is excited
11/10 for being adventurous and creative +1 because of his smile
Tokoyami Fumikage
Tokoyami cannot cook to save his life
Dark Shadow, however, can
They bustle around the kitchen together, and typically Dark Shadow gets excited when the shopping team find apples at the store, because that means they can make a dish with them (provided Uraraka lets them buy a few, that is)
Dark Shadow makes a killer apple pie, and will typically order Tokoyami around to help with the prep cooking as they sniff around the kitchen and taste what’s cooking
Shouji and Tokoyami typically cook together, as Shouji is one of the few people who can keep up with the entity’s eager orders
4/10 for Tokoyami, 9/10 for Dark Shadow
Todoroki Shouto
He bonded with Fuyumi by learning how to cook
She’d come to the dorms with a visitor’s pass every Sunday, or he’d go home when his father wasn’t around
She liked to teach him recipes that their mother showed her how to make
Most of what he knows how to make is very traditional Japanese cooking
He’s not very good at seasoning, so he will often cook alongside someone who can taste the dish and tell him “add a little of x”
This person is usually Sero, who keeps encouraging him to expand his culinary horizons
Todoroki will not learn new recipes unless forcibly taught, and is fine with eating the same thing for weeks on end
5/10 for a half-good, half-bad rating
Hagakure Tooru
Hagakure is an absolute terror in the kitchen
People will freak out when they see a floating knife or ingredient, or when they hear cabinets open and close at random (even if she is wearing clothes, which is apparently a rule in the common areas)
The person she is cooking with inevitably bumps into or trips over her, and something always goes awry
The exception to this is Ojirou
He manages to avoid her, and they’re usually in sync with what they want to do
She’s able to elevate his dishes from meh to wow, and absolutely loves to plate the dishes
She tries to make them as cute as possible
When she’s participating in bento night, she’s usually the one with the nicest bento at the end
5/10 when cooking alone or with anyone in class A that has no tail, adds +3 to both herself and Ojirou when they cook together
Bakugou Katsuki
Bakugou learned to cook from his parents
Both Bakugous enjoy cooking, although Mitsuki has a more… shall we say… Gordon Ramsay-esque approach to cooking
She wants everything to be perfect
Anything less and the dish is “inedible” (side note, also like Gordon, she’s never rude to servers, as she knows that it’s not their fault if the kitchen didn’t get the food right)
Bakugou approaches the kitchen like a professional chef
He cleans as he cooks, and always makes sure that his prep is done before he’s moving on to cooking the actual food
He likes things spicy, but usually makes a more “Mild” (Iida got mad when he used the word “Pussy”) version of whatever he spices up
He once refused to admit anything was wrong after Kirishima had knocked an entire bottle of chipotle chili powder into a pot of curry, and ate the entire thing himself, dying the whole time
He’s clear with orders as he directs whoever is cooking at his side, but he will call them useless and ban them from the kitchen if they mess something up
He demands perfection and he will get perfection
10/10 best cook in the class, -2 for being a brat
Midoriya Izuku
Can make a few dishes very well and that’s it
His mom taught him to make all of them and he makes them the exact same way every time
They are all traditional Japanese dishes, and he will go out and buy ingredients if he does not have them
He is incapable of making substitutions at all
Constantly checks recipes
Cleans as he goes so there is little mess afterwards
6/10 with a +1 bonus point for being a sweet lil momma’s boy
Mineta Minorou
Learned to cook purely because he heard ladies like a man who is good in the kitchen
He usually cooks with Shouji or Iida, someone who will be very watchful incase he tries anything
Usually the “trying” comes from Kaminari trying to sneak one of his balls into the food somehow
He likes to use traditionally “romantic” ingredients like wine and chocolate in his cooking
Aoyama usually gives him cheese recommendations to pair with his dinners
He makes some mean Japanese street food when he has the chance, something he learned purely because he heard that Mt. Lady liked Takoyaki
If he ends up having a crush on someone, he learns to cook their favourite foods to try and woo them
8/10 in the kitchen, -4/10 for being a waste of a character that could have been handled so much better
Yaoyarozu Momo
Momo knows how to make exactly one thing: tea
She is an expert on pairing foods with tea, but isn’t very handy in the kitchen
She and Satou meet for tea dates every day, so he’s teaching her how to cook
She’s not very good, but tries very hard
Sometimes will buy fancy baked goods and bring them for the class
She does not correct people if they assume she baked them herself
4/10 because while she is cheating, she is learning
