Like with the Outers I almost NEVER draw the Starlights and partly fueled by Cosmos's debut (and listening to Starbow, the og Starlights) it ended up in these lol. some info below

so first off - for the AU the Starlights arrived to Earth searching for Kakyuu all the way back during the Doom Tree invasion, using them as discreet cover before establishing themselves as a music group to try to reach her, eventually starting to sing for themselves. Kakyuu for her part disguised herself as a young woman and has been living a normal life actively refusing to meet her guardians, half because she's very much enjoying the freedom of not having to be a princess 24/7 half because she hates that she's enjoying it when her planet is fucking dead. It's a few years before Galaxia comes tho so she has plenty of time to wallow in that pit, and when she does come she's ready to face her fears and actively fights them when they attack. She still avoids the Starlights out of guilt tho.

As for the designs I made them more sporty and more individualized as well as getting rid of the rattails lmao. Healer gets a braid that keeps the same idea, Maker just has short hair and Fighter has a mullet because they have the vibes of loving mullets. still Sailor Star Fighter, Sailor Star Maker and Sailor Star Healer but Kakyuu's now Sailor Kinmoku because I still don't know why she wasn't just called that from the beginning. The Starlights are in their base form, Kinmoku in their equivalent of Super (Blooming Sailor Kinmoku)

For a cosplay I had to redo/restart a part of I'll go with Super Sailor Pluto. In the first two photos, while it may not look it, almost the entire thing is held together by safety pins lmao. @raierae and I were rushing last minute and I really don't know how we managed to get the costumes on our bodies haha (she was Super Sailor Saturn). I had to fix up a lot and redo some construction (not to mention actually sewing parts together, lol) so in the bottom two photos it's actually a functioning garment lol. I almost NEVER draw Haruka and Michiru and that has made their ReStart designs nebulous for a long time, but I finally got off my ass and did some work for them lol. Of course listening to all their songs from the bandai Myus helped they made BANGERS for these two. Random info on them in the AU below.

Tendo Haruka, age 21, Sailor Uranus, Senshi of Speed (powers over the wind and the earth) - her first time transforming her fuku featured a skirt, but by the second she had willed herself some pants even if the rest of the fuku didn't change. Was awakened by Neptune during the times of Black Moon and faced some Droids here and there but was focused on investigating Mugen Academy and the Death Busters alongside their search for the Talismans. Feels regretful over the lives she'd had to end during her investigation (the people turned into Daimons) and this guilt prevents her for pursuing a relationship with Michiru (as she has put her in a pedestal) until after her Talisman is extracted. Believes the other Senshi to be freshly awakened and makes her both look down on them and want to protect them, not realizing that by the time the Death Busters take center stage the Inners are already in their Super forms and therefore stronger than them. Clashes often with Sailor Jupiter and Sailor Mars as their perspectives are different. Before the identity reveal, she striked a quick friendship with Minako. She maintained this friendship post-reveal.

Kaioh Michiru, age 22, Sailor Neptune, Senshi of Depths (powers over water and darkness) - Was plagued by visions during the final attacks of the Dark Kingdom and awakened her powers during the Doom Tree invasion. Said visions point her to Mugen Academy, and so she ignores everything else that happened outside some brushes with Droids. Bitter over being a Senshi, she awakened Haruka to at least have a companion in her misery but oops now she has feelings for her and double oops she knows she cursed Haruka to a life of war. This prevents her from pursuing a relationship with her until her Talisman is extracted. Believes the other Senshi to be freshly awakened and looks down on them for this, which makes her clash with Sailor Mercury and especially Sailor Venus until a fight with the latter changes her mind soundly. Before the identity reveal, she formed a connection with Rei. She maintained this friendship post-reveal.

The Space Sword and Deep Aqua Mirror are mostly unchanged from their role in the original anime - hidden within their Pure Heart Crystals, their presence is required to summon the Moon Grail. The sword is virtually the same but the mirror now doubles as a dagger, because Michiru said "ah yes, surely this common accessory will be of utmost help, were I find myself entangled in physical combat." and her powers were like "aight sure have this".

As for their changes in design primarily I just wanted to give the butch woman some goddamned pants, and Michiru has thights and no sleeves to link her to Mars and Mercury respectively (as a Seer and as having powers over water), while also giving her an older flair.

Happy birthday Hotaru my gift to you is all the shit I did for you in ReStart. wall of text below

Hotaru 1.0 (土萠ほたる) is the daughter of Tomoe Souichi, de jure leader of the Death Busters after a lab accident that killed her mother and burned her right arm and leg causing her severe chronic pain that's only eased by the Taioron Crystal.

She gets used as the vessel for Mistress 9 that will awaken once the Death Busters fill the Taioron Crystal with the power of the Grail OR Hotaru kicks the bucket. The Let's Kill Hotaru For The Good Of The World Gang (which in the AU is the Outers plus Minako) does actually end up killing her against Usagi's wishes but WHOOPS THAT WAS A BAD IDEA NOW WAS IT.

Saturn awakens, does her thing, Usagi solves it, yadayadayada. When she's reborn as a baby Pluto takes her and puts her in a hospital in the future because I'm not about her murderers raising her as her own pretending like nothing happened.

She gets adopted and named Doei Hotaru (土栄蛍) so now we have Hotaru 2.0. While she doesn't have superficial injuries like 1.0 she still keeps the chronic pain from her but she manages with meds (and later her powers once she transforms).

Her first name is kanji (surname) and hiragana (given name) but translates to "firefly sprouting from the earth." Her second name is all kanji and translates to "firefly flourishing from the earth". A subtle change but I feel it fits lol

SilMil Saturn is inspired by bugs obviously and her mask is lightly based on them classic plague doctor masks. Her fuku is also loosely based on the rejected La Cygne Sailor Moon design.

Saturn 2.0 is basically canon Saturn bar the sleeves (she gets them with the upgrade) and her brooch is rounded yet unique because like the other Senshi that don't quite fit the hierarchy she uses one to transform. Phrase is still Saturn Planet Power Make Up. She also gets a more elaborate glaive.

"Soldier of Love and Vengeance, Sailor Nemesis! In the name of Black Moon, I'll destroy you!"

I haven't talked about the Sailor Moon AU rewrite in so long lmao, but since I basically dropped the fic might as well do shit with the concepts.

So basically Chibs's deal in the AU isn't wanting to grow up but wanting to have actual senshi powers (the moniker of Sailor Chibi Moon is because she's literally just using Sailor Moon's powers since hers haven't awakened) and so Wiseman lies to her about actually being Sailor Nemesis, that everyone lied to her and kept her ignorant because her powers were so volatile (and Chibs being 11 and with issues wholeheartedly believes that), and so Wiseman "unlocks" her powers turning her into Sailor Nemesis.

As for her design I wanted to take Black Lady's color pallete adapted into a fuku, taking design cues from Dark Mercury and Princess Sailor Moon due to fittingness. It also works as a neat darker inversion of Sailor Moon's colors!

More ReStart stuff! Honestly I thought I had already posted him, guess not lmao. Mamo-chan/Tuxedo Mask in the AU! info below:

first things first Mamoru is 16 just like Usagi in the AU the age gap does not exist. Moving past that, Mamoru has his own brooch and actually transforms in the same manner the Senshi do as he does have a Sailor Crystal. However, the Golden Crystal is actually the Sailor Crystal of the Sun, as generations past Sailor Sun married into the Earth Kingdom and turning it into the Golden Kingdom, Endymion having heredated it. Endymion did not have access to the crystal's powers, which results in Mamoru being stronger than average people but never reaching the powers of a real Senshi. He's not conflicted about it, he still gets sweet magic out of the deal either way lol. OH ALSO his hair is red when transformed as an adaptation of Endymion's auburn hair.

Because of it being the Sun Crystal, his power over plants manifests as sunflowers instead of roses (seen in the one on his hair), but uses them in much the same manner as darts. He generally focuses on defensive/disruptive magic (Tuxedo La Smoking Bomber is a literal smokescreen) and healing magic, leaving the others to finish the job. The crystal also later evolves into the Golden Sun Crystal same way Usagi's evolves into the Silver Moon Crystal. It takes on a sunflower shape.

Like the rest he also has stages! Tuxedo Mask, Super Tuxedo Mask, Eternal Tuxedo Mask. While the Senshi get Super during the Black Moon Arc he doesn't get it until after it during Fiore's return, finally summoning his own crystal and breaking through Fiore's imprisonment like in the movie. He temporarily gets Eternal with everyone else at the end of the Pharaoh 90 arc and then permamently gets it during the Dracul arc (also I will have to start getting the general timeline down soon lmao). He follows the same line as Moon and Earth with transformation phrases - Sun Prism Power, Sun Crystal Power, Sun Cosmic Power.

I was thinking about the Amazon Quartet again, y'know in the timeline we would've gotten the Chibs sequel, and well. yeah. (first one is canon colors, second one is my ReStart AU colors) (for their senshi forms in the AU look here)

So since they're the AMAZONess Quartet and with the idea that the future is like. a good place. they're all Japanese-Latine, hence their western names with Japanese surnames. (Paola is Peruvian, Chiara is Argentinian, Vera is Colombian, Joana is Brazilian)

With how little there's of them in canon it was actually pretty easy to come up with outfit designs - Paola/Pallas just fits younger-skewing looks, Chiara/Ceres looks like she's more preppy, Vera/Vesta seemed sporty enough and then I just made Joana/Juno butch lol. Their hairstyles are also different because *points at their canon hair* yeah I'm not bothering with that and also they always gave me a bad feeling.
