@allvalley100 For the Ritual prompt. Think of this as a deleted scene from S4. Set after the roof jump, but before the dojo divorce. Johnny’s taken the Miyagi-Dos to the junkyard for a training session.
Sam scowled as another bottlecap went whizzing by her head. She lowered her bat as the rest of the Miyagi-Dos continued gleefully smashing windshields.
“Why do you always do that?”
Sensei Lawrence frowned down from the tailgate of a rusted-out pickup.
“Huh? Do what?”
“The bottlecap thing?”
“Dunno. Habit, I guess.”
“Who taught you?”
“My dad. One of two things he taught me.”
“What’s the other one?”
“How to leave.”
Sam felt a pang of sadness as he drained the bottle. She took a seat beside him.
“Can you teach me?”
Johnny opened another Banquet and handed her the cap.

I’m just saying like. The teenage relationship/breakup drama is lesbian levels of emotional and chaotic. And they still want me to believe Sam and Tory aren’t gay

I wanna know what goes on in the writers head when they have an episode like last night. What’s NK thinking when she sees the rave reviews from an episode like last night or the wedding episode. Or even Billy’s roast episode. Because there’s a common theme in those episodes. Several actually. Firstly, Spencer and Olivia. Because duh. Secondly, little to no Patience and little to no music storyline. Thirdly, teenagers acting like teenagers. Characters having fun. Characters acting like the college students that they are. I understand this is a drama. I understand Spencer and Olivia are the mains so drama will follow them. But it can’t be impossible to see what episodes do well and keep applying that formula to get consistent reviews. There’s a lot of other ways to give your main characters drama than doing whatever tf they did this season. The drama in this episode that followed Spencer and Liv was the blowback from Olivia revealing herself as Jayden Davis. It affected them both in different ways. Created a rift in different ways. And it was solved in thee most fun way possible. What’s hard about that??? Not every episode those 2 need a career defining/ life changing storyline that has them stressed like if they pay a mortgage. You can’t keep being obtuse on purpose to what works. Because it is on purpose. It has to be. Because no way they haven’t noticed what works and what doesn’t. People have been saying this shit since season 4. And instead of listening and applying, that woman ran away and CHOSE to do the opposite out of spite. And here we are months later being proven right. Whoever doesn’t wanna say I told you so, I’ll say it for them. I fucking told you so!!!!

Release: July 1, 1987
Lyrics:
To the spirit of the night, I surrender
I got a secret I can't keep
That burns inside when I'm in my sleep
I try to hide from your memory
But you come back and it's haunting me
What will I find in this fantasy?
If I go with you now, will you set me free? (woah)
And I surrender to the spirit of the night
I surrender (I surrender)
The darkness is my lover, and that's a pleasure (woah)
So I surrender to the spirit of the night
I take cover from the light of day
But you keep calling and I obey
I don't remember where I have been
But you come back to me in my dreams
What will I find in this fantasy?
If I go with you now, will you set me free? (woah)
And I surrender to the spirit of the night
I surrender (I surrender)
The darkness is my lover, and that's a pleasure (woah)
So I surrender (I surrender) to the spirit of the night
I surrender
I go crazy when the sun goes down
And it takes control as I hit the town
I give my body to the heat of the night
And let no man judge if it's wrong or right (woah)
And I surrender to the spirit of the night
I surrender (I surrender)
The darkness is my lover, and that's a pleasure
So I surrender (I surrender) to the spirit of the night
I surrender (woah)
And I surrender to the spirit of the night
I surrender (I surrender)
The darkness is my lover, and that's a pleasure (woah)
So I surrender (I surrender) to the spirit of the night (spirit of the night)
And I surrender to the spirit of the night (spirit of the night)
I surrender to the spirit of the night
(Big city lights callin' out my name, woah)
And I surrender to the spirit of the night

first day of reading adofn: the prologue has a dreamlike quality to its narration and the descriptions are very rich. I could just slip into the world, steal into the inysh woods where sabran confronts bardholt or haunt the mountains with unora ❣️
