Review: It might be my fault for having too high expectations for this as I had predicted a five star read. The summary intrigued me and I was interested in an examination of queer relationships in the 70s but honestly I felt indifferent the entire way through. There was no disliking any character, simply I felt nothing at all and didn’t quite care about their relationship. While it is well written it wasn’t what I had hoped to find. I thought it was mediocre and the parallels in the different plots were not what they needed to be in order to have any compelling emotional moments that were clearly the importance of the later chapters.

today I woke up as normal and took my medication. I got something to eat along the way and I headed to uni. When I felt my gut ripple as I stepped into the building, I just knew I had to go. I immediately put my books in the classroom and ran to the bathrooms. I clutched my tummy and doubled over as I sat on the bowl. I pushed super hard but nothing seemed to want to work it's way out. Defeated and achy, I returned to class.
I got home later in a rush as my tummy was making it clear that this time, I actually needed to go. I put down my bag, wincing as my tummy rippled once more. I made my way to the bowl but when I pushed, nothing. My belly was tight and bloated, and pushing on it just gave me aches. I decided to dig my finger into my hole to dislodge the log that was making me feel this immense discomfort.
I let the warm water soothe my stomach as I pried my swollen ring. Suddenly, when my knees buckled I knew it was time I had to go. The chunks made their way out of my system, and from there my tummy lurched and the thick slop sprayed out of my hole. There was nothing I could do but moaning on the floor. I was dizzy due to my condition, making me powerless to get up. So for the next few moments, I curled up, spasming as I continued to mess myself on the ground, liquid squirting and leaking out of my ass as my vision starts to blur.
