#Thor isn't especially interested in how and why it works as long as it does. he tends to just accept things at face value more often.

The dark world thought. Loki keeps calling thor brother (mostly to annoy him) in the movie. idk why but i was hoping at least once thor would scream at him and say "STOP CALLING ME THAT"
Note to self: watch Thor 2: The Dark World. See, I think it's the other way round, and my answer involves thoughts I had about the thorki fic I inisist I will never write so fair warning for that BUT of the two it's Loki who's far more likely to insist they're not really brothers and shouldn't call each other that. A thought I had from the first film and then failed to post (I don't post ALL my thoughts on tumblr! Just most of them!) was that the 'worthy' aspect of Mjolnir is very vague and Loki would spend hours and hours trying to pin down 'what does worthy mean,' and utterly convinced that even if he isn't going to fit the criteria there must be a loophole somewhere in the wording that he can use. Whereas Thor probably hasn't spent much time worrying about that - either you're worthy or you're not and the magic hammer just knows which it is. Somehow.
Similarly I don't think Thor cares much about whether he and Loki were technically born to the same parents or even if they're the same species, because they are brothers, they've always been brothers, how can they not be brothers? Meanwhile Loki's upended life largely revolves around the fact that pedantically, legally, whateverly, they aren't really brothers and they never were. Which is why he's open to things getting incestuous now while Thor is still repulsed by his own unbrotherly yearnings. Don't be daft, Thor, we're obviously not brothers, stop calling me that it's not true you're just repeating someone else's lie! But what else would Thor call his brother? It may have been a lie to begin with, and it still might be a lie to other people, but having spent centuries thinking they were brothers and acting like they were then how is that relationship not them being brothers? Had Loki actually been his brother by blood it wouldn't have made a difference so in practical terms how are they suddenly not brothers just because Loki turned out to be a Frost Giant?
Thor wants Loki to stop causing problems and to stop being a dick, but he doesn't want him to stop being his brother (were such a thing even possible in his mind). Whereas Loki's life of crime or even just life on the run would be a lot easier if he didn't have a brother to worry about and who insists on worrying about him.
tl;dr: I got lost about halfway through my answer, sorry. I have more thoughts on this matter than my usually flippant comments might suggest D: D:

Your a Chatterbox (Avengers x Male Reader)
A/N: Alright college has been killing me but I managed to get this out! Enjoy!
Tumblr media
BUCKY
It wouldn't take Bucky long to notice but not because of the reason you are thinking. Bucky doesn't talk a lot and that usually affects how long people talk to him but he noticed pretty quickly that you never seemed to notice his lack of response whenever you are talking. Your talking wouldn't bother him and he would actually be a little grateful that you do most of the talking since he isn't always in a talking mood but he's usually fine with lending an ear.
Tumblr media
STEVE
Steve would notice pretty soon as he would pick up on the fact that you tended to give pretty long responses to questions no matter how small. He usually doesn't have a problem with your talking and actually likes hearing you talk about whatever is on your mind. Though there will be times when Steve might be busy and will kindly tell you that he can't listen to you completely but once he's done with whatever he has to do he will gladly listen to you.
Tumblr media
THOR
Because Thor already likes to talk a bit with the people he might not immediately notice how long his conversations with you are. Once he does figure it out he wouldn't be deterred and in fact, would fully take advantage of this new information. Whenever he wants to talk about something cool he found or tell a story from Asgard he knows to go to you first since you are most likely to not only listen to him but also carry the conversation a fair amount.
Tumblr media
TONY
Tony would notice the fastest if you talk to him when he's working on something. He can usually talk a little bit while working but sometimes he tends to focus more on his projects and while he might not understand what someone is saying he would still hear their voice. Tony would make a comment about you talking a mile a minute but would otherwise continue on with his work though sometimes your voice would be a comfortable background noise for him.
Tumblr media
LOKI
Being a pretty perceptive man Loki would notice pretty quickly that you tend to talk more than the other Midgardians that he has met. After a little bit, Loki would ask you why you talk so much, and even though he would ask out of genuine curiosity it may come off rude. He would apologize if you took any offense to it and would clarify his genuine curiosity about it. After the two of you talk Loki would try to engage a little more in your conversations, especially if a topic you were talking about particularly interested him.
Tumblr media
BRUCE
Bruce like Bucky would notice pretty quickly notice how much you talk because Bruce himself doesn't talk too much. He wouldn't ask you about it at first since he knows that this could possibly be a touchy subject for you. After he takes some time to think about it he would ask you to talk about it with him so the two of you find a compromise since there will be times when Bruce can't listen to you talk because he might be busy with something important.

salt about the Loki series as of episode 1 (followed by a link at the very bottom to the stuff I did like because hell did I enjoy it)
definitely think a lot is overacted. especially in the first half but later on as well. I think at times it's supposed to make a point but it just seems sorta ooc? take the moment Loki tries to get Casey to get him the Tesseract - pretty sure the way he's acting here is supposed to underline the later point that I don't want to hurt people, I do it because I have to, I don't get anywhere otherwise (paraphrasing a lot here obvsly). the scene is pretty much that - he comes in, spots Casey, crouches next to him still looking vaguely lost, looks around, and then switches to a "fierce" expression and threatens to "gut him like a fish," and instead of doing anything to even appear like he'll follow through he gets distracted by Casey's lack of fishy knowledge. which goes very nicely with aforementioned later point but... no matter how long a day he's had, you'd think the literal (if maybe self-proclaimed? not that it matters) God of Lies should be able to pull a more convincing act than that. which goes for a lot of other scenes throughout the episode as well, I think (e.g. "I am smart" to Mobius, since when does he have to verbally assert his own intelligence) - it's not Ragnarok levels of being-ooc-for-funsies but in comparison to Thor I & II and Avengers (or even just Thor I and Avengers, since Thor II hasn't happened for this Loki), it's still a drastic difference that I'm having a hard time explaining away. he's literally fidgeting in his chair when Mobius asks if he enjoys hurting people while showing scenes from NY, full on leg-bouncing and hand on his face and everything. the only comparable thing I can think of is his wringing his hands in Thor I with Sif and the Warriors 3, and that was still a lot more subtle.
some other things - clambering onto a rock proclaiming to some random people that he's Loki, and [...] burdened with glorious purpose? (nvm the sudden language barrier. are you telling me they speak English on Asgard) what's the point of that? why the constant harping on about how he wants to be a God King(TM) and whatnot, and to rule Midgard as though he ever had any actual interest in that? I'm also mad at how easy it seems to be for the TVA's agents to get a hit on him/restrain him. dude's got at least a couple centuries of warrior society combat training as well as actual battle experience under his belt, as well as greater physical strength than most "normal" people, you'd think he can avoid getting slammed into a desk or physically restrained from moving by some random agents.
but still, again, what bugs me most is the complete lack of a poker face. Loki's got very little idea what's going on during a large part of the episode, and his shown way of dealing with that is... yelling at people? loudly and explicitly demanding respect? what, because that's what he did in Stuttgart? we're aware that there was a point to Stuttgart, right. that was pre-planned, meant to attract attention, to distract. what's the point here? if he's being disrespected already, surely yelling "respect me I am a god" isn't gonna... work? there's no end goal, there's just desperate, planless scrambling for something, which, while completely understandable under the circumstances, seems very out of character for Loki to do. as a general rule, he plans things ahead of time at least to some degree, even if those plans end up going wrong (see: letting Jotuns into Asgard and manipulating Thor, which works a bit too well and ends with Thor banished. see: getting Laufey to try and kill Odin so Loki can prove himself worthy by saving him, only Thor returns unexpectedly and ruins the moment. and so on.) so, with this, where's the plan? why not wait until he has at least some degree of information - where is he, how does this place work, where's the exit, what do they want and how can I use that to my advantage? but there's none of that, and instead he further shows a surprising lack of restraint by openly showing a hell lot of emotion and self-image to one of his captors who has... not actually treated him well at all. look yeah Mobius prevented him from being melted from the face of the universe or whatever but that clearly hasn't happened for altruistic reasons, and while he was oh so nice and offered him a seat (wow) and a drink (incredible) and talked with a Very Understanding Calm Nice Voice to him, he also dragged up a bunch of trauma, some of hich hadn't even happened yet, shows Loki his mother's death with zero context, and then has the gall to blame him for it, tells him the point of his existence is to cause pain but make other people better versions of themselves, and whatever the hell else bc so far I only watched it once and my memory isn't that detailed but I think I'm getting the point across. and that's the guy Loki opens up even a little bit to?
I'm honestly hoping that there's a deeper point to at least that last bit (since by that time Loki might have gathered enough information to do come up with a plan and start manipulating people himself, and do something more complex than threatening to gut them), because otherwise I just... have no explanation.
also do not get me started on the timeline stuff because for one time travel in the MCU hasn't made sense the moment it was introduced and is only marginally doing better here if even that and I've been mad about it since Endgame, and also I'm incredibly mad because from what I've gathered so far, what the Time Keepers have done is choose whatever timeline tickled their fancy, declare that one "sacred," and eradicate most if not all of the concept of free will by murdering or resetting or pruning or otherwise stopping anyone who doesn't comply with their idea of what's right. protect the sacred timeline to keep the multiverse from happening so there won't be war my ass. why and how would the multiverse even be at war?!
smaller bits! because I'm not done :D
- "you're good at doing awful things and getting away" bitch where the only scene Mobius gave as evidence of that is the DB Cooper thing which was basically a prank/lost bet and which according to Wikipedia had zero casualties and no one was harmed at all (yes I had to look it up I had no idea who DB Cooper was.) they literally had to invent a completely new scene because there was none in canon to support that claim. (love the idea of that bet though)
- is showing Frigga's death and telling him That's what's supposed to happen meant to make him agree with the TVA and its ideas and plans? or any of the other scenes for that matter. that's what they insist his life should be? and he's supposed to, what, say Ah yes of course I'll get right back on that? is there a point to that other than psychological torture
- mini salt crumbs about the scene near the end where the TVA agents get burned - this one agent scans the glowy thing and goes "time signature is early 3rd millennium. definitely anachronistic" like what you couldn't tell it's anachronistic at a glance and in fact had to add that to make sure everyone gets it as though weird glowy things just lie around in 1858 or whenever the hell you were lmao
baseline is, I don't trust the show yet but I'm intrigued and I do hope they'll go somewhere good that will let me ignore my salt more easily, and so have also my personal list of good things so far, which are much less plot-related or whatever but nonetheless brought me great joy

A Legend All Their Own, Chapter 46: Dad-Eyes
Summary:  Clint takes it upon himself to have a special talk with Vision and Princess Wanda.

Tumblr media
Over the following days, Clint began to watch Vision and Princess Wanda a bit more closely.
The Princess's bouts of morning sickness had now become a regular pattern. Wanda dashing off the path to be sick, with Vision close behind her.
They no longer rode a horse, despite numerous other members of the travelling party offering the Princess their own mounts. She and Vision now preferred simply to walk, or sometimes, to fly, scouting out the path ahead. Clint had caught a small snippet of conversation from them, something about not wanting Wanda to be jostled.
Clint had also noticed that Vision seemed to be growing extra protective of Wanda. Keeping her close. Sharing his meals with her.
The more Clint watched, the more he decided that his earlier deductions on Princess Wanda's current condition were correct.
And he couldn't help feeling just a little bit.. concerned. --
"Nat" Clint asked his friend one morning as they packed up the previous night's camp, "Have you, uh, noticed what I've noticed?"
"That Princess Wanda has a bun in the oven?" Natasha replied with a shrug. "You want to go congratulate her?"
"You're not.. concerned?"
"Why should I be? It's no business of mine. Or yours, for that matter.."
"It's just.. she and Vision aren't married yet.."
"But they will be soon.. Oh, I see" Nat chuckled. "You've got your Dad-eyes on."
"What?" Clint frowned.
"You're looking at Princess Wanda the way a Father would. You're worried she's going to get taken advantage of."
"It's a possibility, isn't it? Since they're not married, Vision could just decide to.."
"That's not going to happen" Natasha cut him off.
"But.." Clint tried.
"It's not" Nat grabbed Clint's shoulders, turning him around. "Look."
"What am I looking at?"
"Vision and the Princess, you big dope."
"Oh.. right."
Sure enough, Vision and Wanda were standing a short distance away. Wanda gazed up at him with a glowing smile, her eyes sparkling. Vision was smiling back at her, one hand gently caressing her cheek. His other hand twitched, almost reaching out to touch her stomach, but held himself back in the interest of protecting their precious secret.
Even though he wasn't the only one who could see them, Clint suddenly felt as though he was spying on something special and private.
"You see now?" Nat nudged him. "The kid absolutely adores her."
"He clearly does" Clint admitted.
"When this damn war is over, Vision's going to marry Princess Wanda" Nat continued, "Sokovia might actually have some good rulers again, they'll raise their kid to also be a good ruler, and we'll have started a whole new cycle of goodness. That's what the Avengers were always for, right?"
"When you'd become such a romantic?" Clint raised an eyebrow.
"I'm not" The Black Widow bristled. "Love is for children.. But, those two seem to have some how found it anyway. And some day, when Lila starts looking for a suitor, you're going to want her to find a guy who looks at her like Vision looks at Wanda."
"Yeah, I guess that's true" Clint managed a smile. --
Still, it was hard for Clint to completely turn off his 'Dad-eyes', as Nat had called them. Especially when he remembered that Princess Wanda no longer had her own Father to keep an eye out for her. Someone had to give Vision the obligatory Dad-talk, right?
So, that evening, Clint found Vision and the Princess by their small campfire and sat with them. Wanda had settled herself quite comfortably in her beloved's lap. She had already finished her own portion of the evening meal, a hearty stew, but Vision was happily feeding her spoonfuls of his. The couple seemed lost in their own happy little world, and it was quite a few minutes before either of them noticed that Clint was sitting with them.
"Oh.. Hello, Clint" Vision greeted politely, a slight blush coloring his cheeks.
"Hello" Clint replied. "I guess some congratulations are in order.. For your, uh, 'Special Delivery'."
Vision almost choked on his latest mouthful of stew.
"I thought it would be you" Wanda just chuckled, a rather grown up sort of sound that reminded Clint she was no longer the fiery-tempered girl that Vision had first brought to the Avengers. Wanda was very much a woman now, and almost a Queen.
"What would be me?" Clint frowned a little.
"Who noticed first, being a spy and all.. Well, you or Natasha."
"Natasha knows too" said Clint, before turning to Vision, who was still sputtering slightly. "So.. you're going to do right by her, aren't you? Look after her?"
"Of course" said Vision quickly, his grip on Wanda tightening a little. "Wanda and the.. She means the world to me. She.. She's everything."
"So I won't need to hold an arrow to your back at the wedding?"
"Definitely not" Vision smiled, Wanda kissing his cheek.
"Good. That's all I needed to know" Clint stood to leave, but Wanda stopped him.
"Wait, Clint. I've actually been meaning to ask you about something."
"Oh?" Clint sat back down. "Alright, Princess. Ask away."
"Well" Wanda began, "When I get the throne back, I'm going to need some new advisers. People who can help me fix all the wrongs that Ultron has done, and run Sokovia properly. I've already asked Steve and Tony, and Doctor Strange, and I'm going to ask Natasha.. Maybe Thor or Loki, to help keep the Asgardian alliance strong. I was wondering if you might be interested? You'd have a place in the Castle.."
"I'm honored that you'd think of me, Princess, and it's a very generous offer" said Clint, genuinely sorry to have to turn her down, "But when this next battle is over, I really need to get back to my family. I've been away for long enough as it is, far longer than I expected, and.."
"I mean for you to bring them."
"W-What?" Clint blinked, not quite believing what Wanda was saying to him.
"When I say you'd have a place in the Castle" Wanda continued, "I meant you and your family.. Sorry if that wasn't clear. And as valued members of the royal household, they would have everything they need. We can hire tutors for your children. If any of them want to learn to fight when they're old enough, that can be arranged.. If it's okay with you, of course."
Clint's jaw had dropped. It was probably around a minute, maybe closer to two, before he managed to find his voice.
"I.. I'll have to send a letter, check things with my wife, but.. oh, that sounds amazing, Princess. Thank you!" Clint jumped to his feet and rushed off, intending to write said letter right away, even if he couldn't actually send it yet.
"I think" Vision smiled, "You may have just got yourself another new adviser."
"I think I have" Wanda grinned, leaning back against his chest.
Surrounding themselves with good people, educating the next generation, were wonderful steps towards the brighter future they hoped to create.
