My favourite thing about hottest 100 day is the American artists with songs on the list getting interviewed and having absolutely no idea what’s going on
I started tuning in to Triple J to get me through the end of my 11 hour graphic design day this evening and it was great. The one downside? I’m going to bankrupt myself buying Australian band mp3s again
Sam Campbell used to work for Triple J and one of the segments he did was 'Street Angel' interviews in 2014-2015. I recommend listening, they're pretty funny and Sam is a great interviewer. Link below.

Sam also interviewed Simon Pegg for Mission Impossible on behalf of Triple J (Sam states he wasn't employed for Triple J at the time of interviewing Simon Pegg).
Triple J, the publicly funded youth radio station in Australia, has been playing Yothu Yindi's anthem 'Treaty' on loop for the last hour instead of its usual First Nations programming, Blak Out. And honestly, I'm here for it.
if one of their songs (most likely not strong enough) is in the top 15 for triple j’s hottest 100 (australia’s biggest music event where the nation votes on their favourite songs), then they have to tour australia.
i feel like that’s only fair, if the public put them in the top 15 songs……..
NOTHING BUT THIEVES performing a cover of What Can I Do If The Fire Goes Out? by Gang Of Youths for triple j's Like A Version.
I wanna taste and see if the Lord is good
I wanna know if I'm heard and if I'm understood
See if the savage desire is some stupid thing
Or if having desire is summoned deep within
