Midoriya skimmed over the ad once more. Twice. Three times. By the time he'd stopped, he nearly had it memorized.

“To all the bakers out there: hello! Have you ever wanted to share the stage with the one and only Todoroki Shouto? Have you ever wondered what it'd be like to co-host a live TV show? Well, you're in luck! We're now holding interviews for an assistant! If you'd like a chance to work with us, please send us an application to this email and go to one of these addresses on the specified date for an interview.”

It felt almost like a dream - he was so lucky. He'd spent part of his year only brooding and procrastinating, but now he had a chance! And that chance was only because he decided to watch a random video that Youtube recommended to him.

Midoriya pinched himself. After feeling the sharp pain he realized that he was not, in fact, dreaming.

(Or, the AU where Shouto is a baker and Midoriya is a long-time fan.)

The Right Side of a War

So he starts breaking the rules. It’s small at first - he sneaks out of his house at night. He trespasses on property. He uses his quirk in public without a license and runs from cops when they try to interrogate him. Before long, he has a record of petty crimes all pinned on a dark hoodie he wears and a cheap face mask.

But he wants to do more. A petty crime list can only get you so far. The biggest changes in the world aren’t because of a kid jumping a fence, and he knows that. There’s a place where he belongs, and he has to find it.

Or, Shouto is the traitor at U.A, and that role is much harder than he anticipated.
