To be continued 👏👏👏 #repost @sustainretreat ・・・ How did SUSTAIN begin? ✨⠀ ⠀ A couple of years ago, sitting at a bayside restaurant in San Diego, we threw out the wild idea to each other:⠀ ⠀ “What if we hosted retreats or something like that?” I could provide some marriage education and content based on therapeutic training and practice, and Garrett could provide an amazing professional photo session for each couple. “But wow, that sounds like a big undertaking. Would people even be interested?”⠀ ⠀ Several months later, maybe even about a year or so after, the dream had not gone away. We felt the pull on our hearts to make this happen but did not have thorough clarity on the when, the where, the how. We were at happy hour at one of our favorite Mexican restaurants, just brainstorming and letting our intended purpose and values swirl around in our minds and the air of conversation between us.⠀ ⠀ Garrett got up to use the restroom and a middle-aged woman who sat by herself at the table next to us, and who I had noticed look over and smile to herself from time to time, leaned over to talk to me,⠀ ⠀ “Excuse me, so sorry to interrupt but I have been watching you two and listening in here and there. The moments and laughter you are sharing just seem so sweet. It is clear you have fun with each other and that your relationship is very dear.”⠀ ⠀ “Wow, thank you so much. What a kind and generous compliment” I replied.⠀ ⠀ “My husband and I would come here all the time, and looking at you two reminds me of so many moments between him and me…” Tears filled her eyes. “He passed away just two weeks ago. This is the first time I have been here without him.” Her gaze drifts, I imagine she is briefly lost in some magical memories with her recently deceased love…” So sorry to be a burden on your evening, I will let you two get on with your night. Just be good to each other, enjoy every single bit of it.”⠀ ⠀ ... to be continued next week! ⠀ ⠀ -Meg⠀ ⠀ l love it especially color in the sky of Paris✨ 📷 @garrettrichardson #sonya9⠀ #sustainretreat #sustainmarriage #adventureswithmeg #richardsonsroam⠀ #paris #paris🗼 #paris🇫🇷 #iloveparis #parisphoto #parisphotography #memories (Tour Eiffel) https://www.instagram.com/p/Bx4d7PnHoby/?igshid=r79fcwtm10pf

divine Evil Review and Niykee Heaton
This song had been playing since I walked to work yesterday morning, around 5 am and has been playing on and off in my head till around 3 pm today – Starting Over – Niykee Heaton. Now I don’t have anyone im healing from, trying to get over, or anything of the sort; however, it hits in the feels, and it’s a chill vibe somehow (or it could just be me). Their voice is fantastic and instantly makes…

Rain Drops and Warm Tea
I woke up feeling hungover, I dont know why, but I did (I didn’t drink or anything like that). So after I made my tea this morning, I decided to open the windows, and I could hear the rain falling; I love the sound of rain (especially if it’s on a tin roof) So I took my tea, and I decided to sit outside and listen to the rainfall and watch the puddles form. It’s very soothing, and it’s been one…

Puppies and Painting
I have spent the last two days off cleaning, walking, listening to music, painting and sleeping. On Sunday, I came home and decided id do a bit of painting, and before I knew it was 8 pm or thereabouts, I didn’t have supper yet, so I made some food and finished off my night with Teen Wolf and my usual night routine. Monday was spent sleeping in, cleaning and crafting; we got a new mop that…

Inkworld Series by Cornelia Funke
Ive been avoiding ending this series, but it is one of my favourite series ive read to this day. I have loved this series since I found it; it has books, book-making, magic, fairies, mystical creatures and well-written villains and heroes.
The series is in the following order: Inkheart, Inkspell and Inkdeath.
Inkheart – One cruel night, Meggie’s father reads aloud from a book called INKHEART–…

I Don't know What to Call This part 20?
So im tired, but I need to get these words out.
I started a job today, and it’s one where im constantly moving, doing lots of cleaning and other various things; I only had one shift so far, but I like it already. When I was leaving today, some of the ladies stopped and asked me if I needed their sweater cause they found it cold and wanted to ensure I didn’t get cold on my way home. It was…

I Want Your Opinion
I have been writing this blog for about six years, and it’s been growing slowly. As it’s growing, I have been experimenting with some smaller stuff, and I was thinking about one in particular and wanted to see what you, my lovely readers, think first.
Would you be interested in having an optional once-a-month post? A post with one of the two options;
Option 1: A massive written post with stuff…

A Review: Smoke and Mirrors by Cheryl Bradshaw
I have had this book downloaded on my e-reader for a while now, but I only got around to reading it today while on a drive. I was pleasantly surprised and really enjoyed the story; the plot was good, and the flow was a little different, but I was thoroughly hooked to the end.
The synopsis is as follows: Grace Ashby wakes to the sound of a horrifying scream.
She races down the hallway, finding…
